In the last thread some dipshit deleted a 1. Now we are scrambling to figure out how to survive the coming centaur related doom.
Long live blackwoods

Hoohoo, somebody dun fucked up again.

That's what you fucking get for trying to use madness. Especially when you only have ONE mad motherfucker. There's not even anyone to troubleshoot him in his madness.
>>
>>36524144
Yes there is. His friend specifically has madness-alleviating powers
>>
Rolled 39 (1d100)

>>36524545
Too bad you crit failed.

>>36524144
Mad has ALWAYS been a very risky proposition.

and you CRIT FAILED.

>>36520452
I haven't noticed anon.

Anyway you still have a few hours to figure out a way to save yourselves. I got some running round to do.

But yeah a DELETED CRIT FAILED MAD action...

And you thought the plain crit fails were bad...without MAD attached much less without the deletion penalty.
>>
>>36526390
At this point were fucked. I'm just waiting to see how we die
>>
Rolled 34 (1d100)

>>36526390
I will not give up. I just really don't know what's coming. So I assume abominations of animal and humans.

I guess we are agreed still on the 4 heroes going all in to stop it.
>Murphy, Jacklin, Red queen, Popo.

>>36526481
We made it thru the zombies and we don't have as messed up of a base like Sir Richard. We have a chance, Seeing that we didn't just up and die, and that's all any civ can hope for. Granted it will never easy. Probably suck worst that Vault 101 and HAX combined.

... Just if we ever want to make it to make a big civ we will need to fight thought this shit. Way to many civs die because we didn't have what it takes, but we keep getting better. HAX and the Jungle Gods civ are a show of that.
>>
>>36526936
But it was a madness roll about making centaurs. A nat 1 got deleted. That's like a crit fail squared! My only hope is that the some of the centaurs that kill us have nice tits.
>>
>>36524545
See, that's one thing but what I'm talking about is an exchange between one MAD and another MAD. The girlfriend has madness-controlling powers, but she still can't understand the motherfucker's 'logic' like another MAD could.

Don't you remember the banter between all the maddies in the Gearheads? They've got some sort of internal consistency even if we can't see it.

Maybe we can pop the hidden hero as well to help with their mix of buff rolls. I hope the hell fires will be strong when their time comes.

Come on! It would be funnier in hindsight if they had amazing centaur tits! Those things would bounce so much as they galloped around that if there bounce in sync it could level the entirety of the bace and half the forest from the vibrations!
>>
>>36527784
There's some precedent for you telling us how many we need to sacrifice to survive though, so if you'd like to provide that information it'd be nice.

All about the President blaming the "new path" for all this trouble, convincing the people to return to the old ways and get back to our roots
>>
>>36529307
That didn't get enough support last thread. You could give it a try though.

'Course, that means that we suddenly have 600 very pissed off, very badass reds in our base who feel they've just been betrayed.
>>
>>36529307
I'm not backing that and If we did then the AI would turn on us. Plus that's really messed up.
>>
>>36529349
It's what everyone voted on last thread. . .

Anyway, you better figure out on another scapegoat, because even if we do survive this without something, or someone, to blame the morale shock and our people will tear this civ apart anyway
>>
>>36529349
The Reds are probably going to leave us anyway. Nothing lost there.

>>36529361
In all honesty I would have sacrificed the AI as well.

This isn't really about saving the Blackwoods, we're just asking for more borrowed time for our dead and doomed civ to do something cool or amazing before we go.

Good or evil, whatever we do, let's do it big and something we can remember by before we're all wormfood.
>>
>>36529421
I think heroes are the only ones that can be sacrificed.

It was the plan of Maury and their dream of a magical realm. Thankfully the madness of Murphy and friends put a stop to Maury's plans.

>>36529508
Maybe we will have to, but we have little to go on and to many heroes on int he mix will probably do more harm then good.

Maybe for you. For me this civ has a chance to keep going. But every time shit goes wrong some people give up and that ends the civ. I want to do cool things as well, but nothing amazing comes from fire works alone. We need to push through the muck and then we can a civ the shines as bring as the old. Just don't give up it hurts morale and makes it hard to form good plans. We are a team in this and we are as strong as the weakest link.
>>
I missed these shenanigans you're all referring to, but if I'm going to die being trampled under the hooves of dangerously sexy centaurs, I want to know that my heros are going to ride off into the sunset with them and hopefully show up in a later adventure.

Imagine we're borg cops... things look bleak... zombies on all sides

Suddenly

Murphey rides in on a well-endowed centaur and draws them off with a shit cannon

Alright according to consensus of last thread.

You wish to 'revive' republic and sacrifice certain agreed upon heroes which were reconfirmed this thread. Which had a 1 attached last thread.

"So Murphy what you working on?"

"Centaurs."

Yes, the Republic! Heed my words.

For many months now the traitorous bourgeois, those who think themselves masters and you the slaves, have set up their cruel Oligarchy. They and their council lording over you atop pillars of Ivory like kings while you slave and toil for their prophet.

They have shunned the old ways, shunned the Republic, they sought to blot out the name our forefathers of generations have fought for and erase their sacrifices in but a fortnight.

And now they bring death itself at our door.

This, shall, not, go, on!

I call upon you, stand with me, stand with your brothers and sisters. Cast out the oppressors! Take back our lands, our homes, our freedom, our very lives.

LONG LIVE THE REPUBLIC."

Rolled 90 (1d100)

Actually it was the voted for plans that combined with dice killed it.

The dice alone WEREN'T gonna do that. They NEVER do as i see to that.
>>
>>36532936
>>36532909
This is actually better really.

True a better plan wouldn't have killed us outright, but we were doomed all the same. At least we ended this quickly with less pain and suffering for all.

There was no saving this civ, the least we can do is a quick and clean death, than a long drawn out death.

Truth be told unlike all you disenfranchised anons I never had hope in any civ from the very beginning.

I just have fun seeing how long you last and whether you decide to quit while your ahead or not.

Gonna get in a similar mindset anon.

Funner that way.

anyway new thread: >>36533029

As usual will answer all questions from this point on in regards to setting truthfully. For the noobies out there whenever a civ dies I will spend time answer questions in regards to the setting WITHOUT holding anything back.

just be aware I wont offer any more then strictly required so pick your questions carefully.
>>
>>36533145
Were there other Blackwoods remnants in the area that we could've tried to unite?
>>
>>36533145
How did the symbiosis work? And where bees ever really a possibility?
>>
I hate that two civs died now because of the 1 roll being deleted. Please say something about that Genie, for the new people. I liked the fantasy civ and where this one was going.

>>36533145
Can you give info on how dice and hero abilities work for the system in more detail?
>>
>>36533145
That's like saying "Stabbing someone in both kidneys won't kill a man, no matter how good it is"

Well, yeah, it won't. But a bullet to the head seems preferable than bleeding to death in that situation.

Nobody would have been prepared for the losses encountered from this, and we would have never been able to recover before the next catastrophe ended us.

So between the only options of death now or death later, now was better.
>>
>>36533285
Not like it matters.

One day, there will be a new person, somehow, somewhere. And they will inevitably delete their nat1 thinking they will get away with it.

That will be the veritable nail in the coffin that it should be time to consider what the next civ will be.
>>
>>36533317
I haven't lost hope that people can change. Each and every time it will suck. But all I hope is it's not some a-hole doing to mess with people.
>>
>>36533317

>>
Rolled 35 (1d100)

>>36533223
Yes.

>>36533284
Everything is possible.

As for how...it had to do with lifeform complexity and certain bindings.

>>36533285
Ah forgot I could of done a fantasy civ...really need to get that done again.

Ah well if the civ starter dies I'll do something else.
>>
>>36533618
There's also pirates, but later.

So no info on the dice and how they work with hero abilities then? I would even be fine if you told me how similar they are with the Twisted Realms game.
>>
Rolled 5 (1d100)

>>36533750
Hero abilities are...well basically a special affect.

Their traits and passives are the only things that directly effect dice.
>>
>>36533926
Okay, thank you for the info.

Now for civ questions. If I were to fluff a think tank that went under from a outbreak from Infested zombie testing. Would there be a chance it could end up with a few smart zombie officers or hero to help lead the zombies?
>>
Rolled 26 (1d100)

>>36534131
...if you did they wouldn't be friendly without the proper tech specialty.

even then a hero would be a toughie.
>>
>>36534209
Dam. I guess I could focus on the horde part and less on improving int. I would just hate to be blocked from one day getting tactics or are the zombies capable of that much?
>>
Rolled 40 (1d100)

>>36534289
zombies are...REALLY stupid. Like ungodly so.

So stupid in fact that they their 'morale' can't even be broken unlike ghouls(who are REALLY resistant)

Now think about it...

There is a reason why 'smart' zombies are so rare.

Both for the sake of balance and sense.

IF zombies didn't have a 'brain' problem their numbers, virility, AND immunity to morale problems would cause MASSIVE imbalance even if upkeep is increased even.

Their brain drain combined with high upkeep makes it balanced is what I am saying.

If I removed such a limitation the players would all cry like little bitches for good reason.

by the way they are sorta meant/designed as a NPC faction/force. Even so I make sure there are checks and balances for the sake of keeping it all 'even'.
>>
Rolled 87 (1d100)

>>36534424
Even so I kept them off a the player ticket for good reason.

Mostly due to the following reasons.

1 being broken.

2 being hard to play.

As is the players have a hard time just handling the basic options. If they can't play those ones correctly they wont stand a chance with the NPC locked ahem the 'advanced' ones.
>>
>>36534424
Fair.

>>36534545
Yeah, that was the problem I was trying to work around. I believe we would be kill if give the chance to play zombies by that reason.

I guess I will forget about it for now and maybe work on a ghoul civ or something else. I did like the space game and kind of hope to go back to it.
>>
Rolled 34 (1d100)

>>36534640
Ghoul civ is also NPCed.

Mostly due to their high keep with their similar toughness to mutants base but without the mutating. Not to mention depending upon their breed their recruitment rates can be awful.

They are tricksy and I am STILL figuring them out now that zombies are mostly finished.

I kept them locked up as they are hard to play.

>>36534545
'broken' which can both mean over powered or being shit.
>>
>>36534751
Dam ... How about using magical cultist for controlling undead? Limited, but they will be using the zombies as shock troops and the like.
>>
>>36534816
That would work as it would be considered your 'lore' option would be something like necromancy if you wish to animate.

Zombie playing too would work as a think tank but you would have to fluff it as well your 'tech specialty' being 'zombie control or something.
>>
>>36535036
Cool. Well I'm done with questions for now and thanks again.
