It had been several days since you and Wolf intercepted a Blackbird that had penetrated Osean airspace. Osean Secret Service was already on hand to whisk the pilot away, but from what Samantha has told you, he didn't really have any useful intel to give apart from being hired by a PMC that ended up not actually existing and told to fly a predetermined course and told it was a "mapping expedition". The poor guy didn't even know where the hell he was even flying. However, Samantha manage to smooth talk them into letting the company keep the Blackbird as a spoil of war. Seemed like overkill, but you never knew when a supersonic recon plane could come in handy.

Now, you were with the rest of your flight in the briefing room, waiting on information for you next contract. Oddly enough, you notice that it's just your flight in the room, and none of the other Artemis pilots are present. Some sort of special mission?

"Bravo Flight." Samantha nods to the four of you as she enters. "I see you're all here. Are you ready for the briefing?"

"Well, not much. What we know is whoever is behind this ploy is rich. Like, very rich. Blackbirds don't just fall from trees, you know, and even if they do, they usually don't without somebody noticing. They pulled the flight data out of the plane, too, and found it was doing flybys of mostly northern Osea, particularly the border between Belka and North Osea."

"You mean to tell me this guy was hired by Belkans?" You ask.

"We don't know. It's all circumstantial at this point." Samantha shrugs. "We even ran the serial numbers on the Blackbird. Nothing came up, like it just materialized out of nowhere."

In addition, the final act of the air show was a reenactment of Galm Team's liberation of Directus itself. Being chosen as the pilots for that segment was considered a huge honor.

"And not only that, you're flight has also been picked to do the final act, as well!" Samantha says happily.

"Really?!" Amy's eyes widen to the size of dinner plates.

"Yep!" Samantha nods happily. "I may have, uh, dropped your name in front of the planning committee when we were negotiating..."

You quietly consider your options and what your wingmates would prefer. Lara, you were sure, wouldn't really care what role she would get. Then again, she probably had the most experience in your flight in flying F-15s. Lilian, you were sure also didn't really care what plane she ended up with.

But Amy, oh, little Amy. You were pretty sure she wanted to be Cipher more than anything in the world. It made sense, considering he's basically a national hero in Ustio, in addition to her dislike of Pixy and Belkans in general.

The next day, you look out the cockpit of your Falcon to see the city of Directus below you. Your wingmates were in their own planes, in formation around you as a trio of C-130s carrying all of your support gear and personnel followed a few kilometers behind. They were also carrying company reps, no doubt to shill their services to any military or corporate bigwigs who would be attending the festivities as well.

"Man, Directus. Hasn't changed at all." Amy says nostalgically.

"Magnet, weren't just here like, a few days ago?" You point out.

"The airport?" You raise an eyebrow. "We're not landing at an airbase?"

"Ustio has a very small standing army, which means not many military bases." Amy explains. "You know, kind of the result of being a pacifist country ever since it broke off from Belka."

"Ah, I see." You nod.

Your makeshift flight finally lands and is taken to a cordoned off area on the tarma. All around, you can see various planes from other militaries and companies, each painted in their own colors and liveries. It was like a huge rainbow of color out there.

"Pretty." You remark flatly.

"It is rather dazzling sight!" Lilian agrees, missing the point.

Well, you guess it was time to use that typical Belkan charm. You quickly scan the line, and you finally find your target. A bunch of young pilots. Snot nosed little punks that looked to be fresh out of flight school. Grade A nuggets if you ever seen one. It was a pity they were still fairly far back in the line, but it was better than nothing.

So you just walk up to them and glare at them.

"Um, can I help you, miss?" One of the pilots ask.

You say nothing. You just keep glaring at them.

"Miss, why are you-"

This cows the nuggets enough that they don't even notice the line moving forward, which is where Lara and Lilian literally step in, snatching a spot in the line. With your job done, you wordless walk off, not wanting to draw attention to your wingmates. However, as you walk away, you do manage to catch some snippets of their conversation.

"Dunno but she scared the shit outta me!"
