You’re currently speaking with Lisa in the yard behind her shop. You just finished explaining that you were using the ghost sword you found. Lisa seemed dubious as to the idea of it though. Maybe you should try explaining further?

You decide to give a bit of a demonstration of the ghost sword's abilities. Maybe seeing how useful it is will convince Lisa that this is the right call.

"Here, let me show you," you say, moving to the shade of the trees on the edge of the yard. With a swift lunge, you find yourself at the other end, right next to the archery target Lisa was using before.

>Ceil HP 9/10

"Ceil!?" she exclaims, glancing between your new location and your previous one, "How did you do that? One moment you were there and then you melted down into the ground and then..."

"That's not all," you reply. Focusing in, you realize that the sword is the one who activated the duplication earlier, however as the thought springs into your mind, you notice the double already forming next to you.

>Ceil HP 8/10

You slowly begin walking over to Lisa, your duplicate matching your step. Lisa is currently staring at you dumbfounded by the sight. Carefully, she moves forward, slowly beginning to circle the two of you. You do your best to avoid glancing at her, lest your eyes give away which one is real. After a few minutes of her inspection she finally reaches out and gingerly tries to touch your duplicate. As soon as her fingers pass through however, it blinks away along a ripple of air.

"This is really weird," Lisa states, "At least I don't need to worry about two of you running around and getting hurt though. Are you sure these powers are safe to use?"

"I've already experimented thoroughly with them," you explain, "I should be fine as long as I don't use it too much in a short time span."

"Well, if you're sure then," she murmurs, "At least it's not trying to possess you anymore."

"No need to worry about that."

"Anyway," you say, sheathing the sword, "Did you want to go get lunch somewhere?"

"Really?" she replies, "Well, I guess we could go to Racco's. It's been a while since we had the chance to get some of their stew."

"Sounds like a plan."

After Lisa bids farewell to her parents, the two of you head off through the city to Racco's Tavern. It was mostly frequented by sailors in the nights and evenings, but the served meals during the day as well. Their stew was well known throughout the town, and you'd eaten there on many occasions.

Once you arrive, you push the door open to reveal a rather crowded seating area. The bar is almost completely full, and only a few tables remain empty. You work your way over to one, noting the lack of clamor that you'd expect. It's only after you sit down that you realize most of these men must be sailors with no better way to spend their day.

A waitress comes over and takes your order, and you find yourself speaking rather softly so as to not disturb the silence of the room. A few minutes later, she comes out with two rather heaping bowls of stew. You give her a handful of coins to cover your meal, and she flashes you a smile as she walks away.

>Current funds 180

Lisa cuts you a quick glance before focusing on her meal, taking her spoon in hand and starting to eat. You follow suit, and the taste is almost as good as you remember. It feels a bit off, but that might just be the somber atmosphere getting to you.

"Y-yeah," she stammers, "Me too."

She quickly sips at another spoonful of broth.

"It was kinda nice though," she continues, "Being able to spend more time with you."

"Yeah," you reply, "We should really do this sort of thing more often."

Lisa's cheeks turn a bit red as you speak, which is odd. You didn't notice the soup being particularly hot though. Maybe she just didn't let it cool enough.

The silence lingers for a moment longer before you realize that you've almost finished your stew. Once you are, the waitress comes to collect your bowls as the two of you continue sitting.

"Wanna explore the town? We can see things we normally miss with more people around," you suggest, "Plus we can spend some more time together."

"Sure, that sounds great," Lisa exclaims, perking up at your suggestion. She glances around self consciously as a few of the heads in the room glance over, her outburst breaking the silence of the room.

"Well, let's get going then," she says grabbing your hand and pulling you towards the door.

Once you're outside, you wander the market place for a while, though you notice most of the stands are rather barren. Most of the interesting stock seems to have already been sold, and you doubt they're in any position to restock due to the blockade.

"Hey Ceil," Lisa says, tugging your arm, "How about we check out that pet shop?"

You glance in the direction she's pointing to see a rather picturesque storefront with a large window. You've passed by here several times, though you don't remember seeing this place. It was probably due to people crowding around it though. Glancing in the window, you spy the sleeping forms of a few baby monsters atop cushions. One seems to be a pup of the same type Jean has, with the telltale stripes. The other has the black fur of another hound you've seen before, though it's diminutive size makes it much more endearing than the normal guard dogs of its kind.

You push the door open and you're greated with a faint welcome from the other side of the shop. You glance an see a young woman, busy feeding a few of the birds in their cages. You notice a few like Lisa's Pidgey, as well as some smaller red birds and even a few types you don't recognize.

Elsewhere in the shop, you see a few more feline and canine monsters of various types, no doubt due to their popularity as housepets. There are even a few others that stand out, such as a tiny red fox with a pair of white tails. It seems to be yipping at one of the red birds, which tweets back in response.

Lisa is enamored with the entire display, moving quickly from one spot to another to look at the adorable young monsters. Quite a few seem to enjoy the extra attention, which you suppose there hasn't been a lot of due to the lack of customers.

You watch Lisa, who seems to have found herself sitting next to a rather sizable group of puppies.

"They're all so cute!" she says, lifting one up to her face. The tiny animal then begins licking her nose and cheeks, prompting Lisa to burst out in a fit of laughter.

"Stop it! That tickles!"

You look on in amusement as she rolls onto her back and a few of the other puppies join in as well, licking at her ears and arms. She seems to be giggling uncontrollably now. You never realized Lisa was so ticklish before.

"Ceil!" she calls out between a fit of laughter, "Help me! I'm stuck!"

It's true, you don't see how she could get out from under that pile in her current condition, let alone with the large pile of animals that's weighing her down.

"I don't know," you reply, "You seem to be having a lot of fun."

"Ceil," she sputters while laughing, "Please"

"Well, you brought this on yourself Lisa," you continue, "If you had known you were so ticklish, then you shouldn't have tempted fate."

"Please Ceil," she says, almost incoherent amongst all the giggling, "I'll do anything so please."

Alright, that's enough fun for now. You head over and begin removing the puppies from Lisa and setting them off to the side helping her up once you're done.

"Thanks Ceil," she says, face flush red, "I guess I got a little carried away."

"No problem."

"Do you ant to get one?" you ask.

"One of the puppies?" Lisa says, "I don't know. They're really cute, but it'd be a lot of extra work. Plus I'm not sure my parents would want me keeping it in the house."

"Well, are there any of them you like in particular?" you ask.

"Probably one of the black furred ones," she says after a moment of pondering, "It's cute now, and then when it gets bigger it'd be good at helping me out with my hunting."

Out of curiosity, you decide to ask the shopkeeper as well, who tells you that it'd be 30p for one of the common ones, and 60p for one of the rarer breeds.
>>
The one Lisa pointed out is one of the common ones, so you wouldn't be springing to much getting it, but she also seemed rather indecisive about the whole thing. You feel like if you bought her one, she'd accept it, but you're not sure how much she really wants one.

"I guess," you say, "You seem to really like them though."

"That's because they're adorable, lovable, and affectionate," she states, "That should be obvious."

"Well, maybe some other day then.'

"Maybe."

"Well, I still need to stop by Jean's to pick something up," you begin, "After that I can walk you home though."

"Sounds good to me," Lisa answers, "I haven't had a chance to go see him since after I got back."

The two of you make your way over to Jean's place, which is only a few streets away. You push the door open to see Jean, drumming is fingers on the countertop.

"Ceil!" he grins, "And I've see you've brought your lovely assistant as well."

"Now I remember why I hadn't visited him yet," Lisa frowns.

"C'mon Lisa," Jean laments,"It was just a joke. It's nice to see you. How have you been?"

"Pretty well," she responds, "It's nice to see you too Jean."

"So Jean, about Bagon's armor," you interrupt.

"It's right over there on that shelf," Jean gestures, "Anyway Lisa, about your trip..."

You walk over to the shelf, picking off the two pieces of metal bound by leather straps. You call Bagon over, and slip the loops around him, tightening it so it fits snugly. Once you finish, Bagon looks at you inquisitively. Either he didn't notice you putting the armor on, or he just didn't care. Either way, he isn't in any discomfort, which means the armor is already fairly good. You head back over to the others.

"So," Jean continues, "Even after all that he still didn't-"

"Not one more word," Lisa snaps.

"The armor fits great Jean," you say as you pick the coins out of your wallet "I owe you forty right?"

"That'll cover it," he says, counting the coins, "Pleasure doing business as always."

"Alright," you nod, "Ready to head home Lisa?"

She gives a quick nod in response. You wave goodbye to Jean and walk Lisa back to her house. It's rather quiet, and it's getting to be later into the evening, almost around dinnertime.

"You know," you continue, "Why were you and Jean talking about me?"

"Who says we were talking about you?"

You give her a look, and she squirms a bit before relenting.

"Alright, so maybe we were talking about you," she explains, "I told him about some of the things that happened on the trip, and then Jean latched onto some of it. I think he has a strong opinion about how you reacted during some of the times we were together on the trip. He's the last person I need to hear that from though."
