Being an Armored Rider isn't all fun and games. Over the last night, after setting up a plan with Jonouchi Hideyasu (the leader of Invitto and the Acorn Rider) to strike back against Kumon Kaito (Armored Rider Baron), another Inves attacked the nearby people at the restaurant you two were talking at. However, the Inves was less feral and animalistic than the others you've fought. So much so that it mentally pleaded for you to end its life in intelligible language...

You tried to figure out a way to end the conflict without killing it, but the more you resisted, Jonouchi aggroed and exacerbated the conflict. To the point where there was only one option remaining.

Now you've got the blood of someone on your hands, and more questions than answers. And your spark to burn the Forest and Kaito down has been stoked to a roaring flame.

The Forest must burn, in Hase's name and memory.

You head down to the labs, the lights darkening as you enter the workspace. This is where the experiments and research into the powers that contain themselves in the Lockseeds go on; the thrum of energy in the air is palpable. The hair on your arms and the back of your neck stand up as you open the door, and inspect the room.

Lockseeds and the pearlescent Helheim Fruits are stored in jars of liquid all across the shelves and spaces, alongside the lab equipment. In the center is the aforementioned Professor, Ryouma Sengoku, typing away at his computer. Long bangs hanging over one eye, with a shock of white in the black. Certainly an eccentric character in his own right, but his contribution to the projects of Yggdrasil was nothing to laugh at. He was the one who developed the Sengoku Drivers, and is now currently working on another project...

That was intentional. Both Gaim and Zangetsu have similar looking logos, so that's what I tried to imitate, since Raid's a "Japanese" Rider.

I do like what Lori did with in regards to making it look more "wild". It's still a work in progress however, so anything goes.

Tried to get all the details of the crest in pic related, but in hindsight, I could have gone with hollowed circles or something. I apprectiate the feedback, both of you. I'm just happy I contributed something other than posting pics of Dragonfruit Energy Arms every OOC time.

This catches your attention, as Ryouma pulls up a grainy video between an Armored Rider and an Inves - the same one from the Forest with the claw and the monologue! The fight is quick, including a second Armored Rider with a hand hammer who's trying to draw and focus the Inves' attention. However, there's a point where the clawed Rider stops dead in her tracks.

You scratch your chin and lean over Ryouma, inspecting the video as it continues. The clawed Rider - if you recall correctly, that's Armored Rider Raid, Makoto Kinushima - is clearly refusing to strike out against the Inves.

Soon enough, the Inves gets provoked enough by the acorn rider, hauling into him with animalistic blows. It takes Kinushima too long, in your head, before she delivers her Hissatsu.

Her foot lights up in magenta flame, goes searing into the Inves, and demolishes it almost instantly. As soon as the INves is demolished, however, Kinushima cancels her transformation and drops her belt, before running off screen, away from the location of the security camera that was filming it. Her screams and cries of pain can be heard, but she doesn't seem to be fighting anything else...

In your hands are two swords, covered with blood. The crimson fluid smells like death. Technically, everything smells like death right now.

And you're not sure why the scent is so intoxicating.

In a clearing, not so far off, is that same emerald green dragon from the back of your mind, wraith-like and looming far above you. Its eyes glow in the dark, its serpentine body constantly in motion.

Today's to be a momentous day in the research of Lockseeds and drivers, if Takatora and the Professor are to be believed. Here, in the chilly and strange forest known as Helheim, you are to be tested for compatibility with the new equipment for fighting Inves - the artificially created Energy Lockseeds, and the Genesis Drivers, to be utilized to create Riders for fighting the stronger forms of Inves that seem to be revealing themselves in more and more frequent "invasions" of the city. While the current Riders have reportedly been able to take care of some of the more dangerous ones so far, Yggdrasil itself's been looking to figure out a way to make a more durable force.

As it turns out, you were the first candidate.

Takatora's here with you, along with the aforementioned Professor, Ryouma Sengoku. A very eccentric character, but enough of a sense of humor to make him tolerable for a while. A while, however, quickly changes depending on his mood. Many other technicians and researchers are in this clearing as well, with equipment set up for monitoring the experiment.

Along your waist, even with your cane, is a piece of plastic and metal tht somehow resembles a juicer of some kind. You see a place for a Lockseed to latch onto, and a press-lever... thing.

Back in the day, when you were raising Makoto, you and her used to watch Kamen Rider Black. It didn't hurt that Kotaro Minami wasn't bad to look at... And so, when you secure the Lockseed in, you throw in a little extra.

Trying your best to imitate Kotaro's signature poses, you move your arms in the approximate sequencing. You don't have much muscle to work with, but at least your brace is holding you up in the meantime so that you're not falling over. Once your pose is complete, you push in the lever dynamically.

>DRIVER: "SODA! LIME ENAJI ARMS! GAAAAAAAAO!"

You hear a nifty little guitar riff as the Lockseed's summon of the armor appears over your head. Figuring this was part of the transformation, you keep your head straight, and fists balled up. Not cutting a very imposing figure, but this changes once the armor fastens upon your shoulders and starts to unfold.

It's almost like your youth is coming back to you, as the suit starts forming around your entire body. You can feel your leg brace almost disintegrate as the gambeson-like underbody forms, with designs of silver and green along your legs. The armor continues to unfold, making a sizable pauldron on your left shoulder, and even giving you a cape! Ain't that something!

...Wait, hold on? Your leg feels... fine? Like, even if you put your weight on it, perfectly fine? What is this?

Do a few kicks. Explore the increased mobility it gives us. This is cool. Maybe see if we can pull out the Sonic Arrow, too. It always just seemed to be there when a New Generation Rider wanted it, it doesn't seem to have a storage space.

Also, am I correct in thinking that the Lime Energy Arms looks more or less like a mirror image of Lemon Energy? Cape, pauldron on the left shoulder, all that. Do we have the sort of vaguely bunny-ear spikes on the helmet, too?

Such power! No wonder they were researching this so intently! It feels like you're in a dream!

Even though your face is covered in a mask-like helmet, your glare is legendary. As soon as you lock eyes with Micchy, you can tell it's working - he's recoiling and hiding lower in the bushes. In fact, he scurries away, out of sight.

At least he won't be a problem for now. Seems like he knows when to not push the issue. Even though you two are sort of on the same side, bringing him out right now would just complicate things. Showing collusion would imply that you've been working with the Riders, which Takatora doesn't seem ot think highly of aside from himself.

You just hope Micchy at least got some knowledge before you scared him off.

You decide that now wasn't the time to spend lying around your room. The protests of your stomach answered your next question - what to do?

Getting in the same clothes as you were wearing yesterday, with the mostly black attire and yellow tie, you get back on the road with Rose Attacker, and start heading out. This time, taking your work uniform with you, you drive around the slowly darkening city.

Eventually, you come across a pretty small, hole-in-the-wall noodles place. You haven't really been in here before, and the sign's really worn down. But it looks older than the town itself.

Wait, older than the town? Even before the renovation?

You park your bike, reform it into its Lockseed form, and head in, parting the curtains.

Kaito Kumon himself, without his crew, without his trademark coat, just sitting down at the end of the single counter. You see his Banana Lockseed on his belt, and you can surmise he's got his Driver somewhere (you never know with these young kids), but he looks to be in absolutely no mood to fight. In fact, he looks a bit at peace.

The more he talks, however, that swell of rage builds in your chest. Last night flashes in your mind, about the entire thing with Yuuya.

But you force your hidden fist to unclench. He was right. Neither of you would benefit from a fight now.

Oh yeah, that thing. I was in class when that post came, so by the time I caught up the discussion had moved on. Kind of worrying that a "Beast Gate" has opened within our mind. Finding out what the dragon is should be interesting, By the sound of it, I'm going to guess it's something to do with One of the previous worlds Sagara's infected coming for revenge. But that's just a guess, could be anything at this point. Hell, maybe it's WizarDragon, even. Probably not that, though. God, I hope it isn't. Anyway, next time should be fun.
