You are a young human doctor, abducted by the K'tulu, and recently released by demand of the Galactic Senate. You're currently on your way to get your helmet repaired with Tobias, who's pitching his job offer to you.

Hey guys, I'm back for the time being. I do apologize for disappearing for another three months, but classes have been eating up my free time like fucking candy. That said I think that I'll be able to get back to this on a semi-regular basis now, as well as get us back on track for what Galaxy Quest was supposed to be. There'll probably still be some romance involved with the quest, but while it may be included it's only one part of a larger picture. Anyways, now that that's taken care of, here's Episode 12.
>>
The dull roar of foot traffic near Pa'tque's Armor Emporium nearly threatens to deafen you as you and Tobias push open the old-style door and step back into the shop, the high-pitched bell leading the four-armed alien to look up from his work on your helmet for only a few seconds to smile brightly at you before returning to the task, "Ah, welcome back, Jack Yarrick, and you as well Tobias Helling!"

"Thanks, Pa'tque." You reply distractedly before turning your gaze back to the the Cyborg at your side as you set the bag of take-out you bought down on top of the spare workbench that the alien offered up to you as a table, "You know, I hate to dwell on this, but when I said that I'd help you out with this job you were talking about, I kind of figured that it was just for one or two people at most. Not an entire gang, Tobias."

The cyborg shrugs in response, watching you produce an elaborately wrapped sandwich from your bag before speaking up, "As I said before, Jack, I didn't expect the bounty offered to be all-inclusive either when it was offered to me. I believe that we can do it though, if you want to, and I'm sure that Freida would be more than happy to join in if you think we need her. According to the extranet the Black Suns are only running a small-time operation here, they're still trying to set up shop permanently, all we have to do is convince them that it would be more trouble than it's worth."
[Continued]
>>
>>36125864
You eye your friend skeptically for a few seconds before sighing and taking a bite from your sandwich, your face twisting a little at the unfamiliar taste and texture...it would appear that Rachgoul Burgers are not nearly as good as you'd hoped they would be. Regardless you're hungry enough to push through your disgust at the food. "Well, good thing we're shooting for attainable goals here." You reply sarcastically, pausing to take a long drink of water in an attempt to wash the taste of Rachgoul from your mouth before looking back at him curiously. "Alright, so how much are they going to pay then?"

Tobias shifts his position to lean more heavily on the bench, sliding his hands into his pockets, "Ten-thousand credits." He responds after a couple of seconds, his voice seeming to whir in frustration at the price as you raise an eyebrow. "It's not much, but it's the only one worth-while that the office would let me take right now. Our room is only complementary for a few more days before we have to start paying for it, and Lizzie has to eat." He explains, glancing at you and waving you off before you can even begin to respond, "And for the last time, no I'm not going to let you pay for it for me. You earned the money you got from the Deculion, and I'm going to earn ours."

A vaguely annoyed look crosses your face at his repeated dismissal of your offer, though you do suppose that you can understand where he's coming from. "Fine, I understand. I don't like it, but I understand." You mutter, before picking the conversation back up, "But alright, ten-thousand each...that's a lot more than I was expec-"
[2/3]
>>
>>36125886
The cyborg cocks his head at you in confusion for a couple of seconds before shaking his head and interrupting you, "No, it's not ten-thousand each. Just ten-thousand." He replies simply before shrugging at the disbelieving look on your face, "That's why I'm just trying to get you and maybe Freida to join me. Five thousand would keep us floating for a couple of weeks, and I can still work with it split three ways if we need Freida to join in. So, what do you think, Jack? Do you want in?"

A frustrated sigh escapes you at the revelation and you shake your head at your friend's stubbornness. Back on Earth, the idea of Earning three-thousand dollars within just a couple of days would have sounded too good to be true to you, but now that you're out here it's somewhat different...especially considering that you've got to take into account the cost of doing the job in the first place. Looking up at your friend it's easy to see, despite his mechanical features, that he's just as frustrated by the situation as you are, if not more. On one hand, it's obvious that Tobias needs this job to happen if he's going to get by, especially with him refusing anybody's assistance, at least on a financial level anyways, but on the other you've already got a lot on your plate and five-thousand credits isn't going to get you too far after the expenses are taken into account, and if you need Freida to help then that's even more true...maybe it would be better to just let him handle this one, after all it's not like he hasn't already proven himself, right?

So what do you want to do?
>Yeah, you're in. You could hardly call yourself the Cyborg's friend if you let him do something like this alone, after all.
>Do it, but refuse the money. You've got plenty of credits left to take care of your expenses and it's not as if you don't have plenty of money getting ready to come your way anyways.
>Refuse. It's not that you don't want to help, because you do, but you've already got a lot of things to deal with without adding taking down what could possibly be a well-armed paramilitary force.

"Well, when you put it that way, how can I refuse?" You reply, reluctantly shoving what's left of the sandwich into your mouth before turning your attention back to him and swallowing forcefully, "I mean after all, how hard can it be to knock out a few wannabe gangsters and drop them off at the police station?" You say, relaxing slightly as Tobias nods in thanks, though before he can do any more than that Pa'tque chooses that moment to look up once again from your helmet.

"Black Suns are no joke, Jack Yarrick, they've been pushing in on this area for the last two months. They haven't tried anything stupid with me, because they know that I'll shoot them if they do, but the people around here are afraid of them for a reason." The four-armed alien says in a warning tone, starting to go back to his work before pausing, "Taking them on by yourselves is stupid...but if you're going to do it then I might be able to offer some assistance, for a discounted price."

You and your friend stare at the alien for a few seconds, surprised at his sudden offer, before you arch your eyebrow at him curiously, "Why are you so interested in getting rid of them, Pa'tque?" You ask curiously, though you expect you probably already know the answer.

"They annoy me." Pa'tque responds simply, turning back to his work, though he doesn't quit speaking, "And if they aren't taken care of soon then they could actually be dangerous, beyond just trying to scare up protection money and bringing in Spice. Plus they stole a shipment of my supplies a while back, I doubt they knew where it was supposed to go, but that was money out of my pocket."

Tobias cocks his head at the answer, apparently vaguely amused though you just shrug, "You're clearly a saint, Pa'tque." The cyborg replies, before turning his attention back at you when the alien merely waves off the comment.

>>
>>36126681
"Alright, so since we're going to do this, what's your plan then, Tobias?" You ask, finishing off your water as the cyborg pulls out a small cube and thumbs a button on its side, a holo-map flickering to life above it as he does so.

"Well, I have managed to track down their 'base' if you really even want to call it that." Tobias starts, gesturing to the cube demonstratively, "From what I can tell the building was originally built as an apartment building with a sub-surface parking garage, but it looks like they re-purposed the first floor into a sort of bar, with the second story being their base of operations. The extranet says that one of their biggest profits are running cheaply made guns and armor and Spice. Supposedly they haven't really had much success with the guns here yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if they've got a lot of drugs stashed upstairs or down in the sub-surface area."

You nod in understanding, noticing Pa'tque glancing over at the map with a somewhat impressed look, before concentrating more on the hologram, "Alright...well, what did you have in mind for wiping them out?"

A few moments of silence stretch between the two of you, leading you to look at Tobias with a somewhat concerned gaze, though before you can say anything else he picks back up, "I'm not completely sure how many of them there might be in there, but the Peacekeepers said that their rough estimate is at least thirteen, but they said that they could have recruited more members by now. I'm not sure what kind of defenses they might have in there, but they're still just getting established here. We could try to just kick down their door, but I doubt that would work out well for either of us."

You blink in silent disbelief at your friend for a few seconds before a tired sigh escapes you, "You don't have a plan...do you?"

The cyborg cocks his head in a small amount of amusement at your response, "Of course I have a plan, it's just not a very good one."

Rolling your eyes you shake your head vigorously, "No, kicking down the door isn't a good plan at all, I agree." You shoot back, drawing a quiet chuckle from the alien working on your helmet, something that you choose to ignore in favor of staring down at the hologram in frustration. "I don't suppose that you've got anything else in mind, do you? I mean, I'd rather not have to do any more emergency care unless I have to for a while, and that seems like the only way this can end if we go in hard."

Tobias lets out a low buzz as he turns his attention back to the map along with you, both of you scanning over it for a few more minutes before you point out a secondary entrance near the back of the building, "We could head in the back door and try to catch them off guard...I mean it'll only work if there aren't any guards or alarms there, but it seems like a better idea to me than just barging in the front door and sticking a gun in their faces." You offer, looking to your friend as you lean back in your seat.

"It could work..." He replies slowly, still staring at the hologram intently before cocking his head to look at you, "It still has most of the same issues as my plan though. Once they figure out that they're under attack they'll probably be able to lock down the top floor unless we have some kind of heavy firepower with us, and I know that I for one don't have any C-4 in my pockets."

You nod in agreement, your shoulders sagging a little at the fact that you keep running into the same problem, "That's true...I mean, I guess that I could bring along my grenades but I don't know much of anything about placing explosives. I guess Freida might be able to help us out if you want to do that though...now that I think about it, I guess we could try a full-on assault, you know blow a whole in the wall and try to take them completely by surprise. I don't like the odds on somebody getting killed with that though..."

We've gotta take em alive.

>>
>>36128041
Tobias lets out a low buzzing noise that you recognize as his laugh, "I'm sure Freida would love that idea." He replies, still staring at the cube intensely before turning his gaze back on you, "I hate to say this, Jack, but I think that you're probably going to have to accept that if we do this then it's probably going to end with some of these guys getting killed. Even if Freida comes along we don't really have the manpower for this to end any other way."

A somewhat sour taste fills your mouth at your friend's assessment, "I'm aware of that, Tobias, I just want to minimize the casualties as best as we can. I'm all for getting a chance to practice my xeno-medicine, but even assholes have families." You shoot back, drawing a shrug from your friend. You lean over the workbench to look at the map again, though before you manage to come up with any other ideas you're surprised to hear Pa'tque speak up again.

"Excuse me, Jack Yarrick, but if you don't mind me saying, maybe you are going about this the wrong way? If you want to wipe them out then it might be easier if you just aimed for their leader...once he's out of the way it shouldn't take them too long to crumble down around themselves." The four-armed alien suggests as he rises from his own workbench with your helmet in his hands, "Maybe if one of you posed as a buyer you might be able to get up into a meeting with him, after that it probably wouldn't be too hard to get a shot at him and then take the rest of the Black Suns down from inside the building while the rest of your team hit the lower floor?"

You blink in surprise at the suggestion, staring at the armorer disbelievingly for several seconds before nodding slowly, "I guess that could work..." You admit, though a small amount of suspicion creeps into your mind at the idea as you look towards your friend, "I don't suppose you know who their boss is, do you?"
[4/5]
>>
>>36128606
The cyborg nods slowly, apparently as surprised at the suggestion as you are, "Her name is Jo'wan Kthsa, but I don't really know much about her beyond that she's an Avnari who has some times to a couple of the higher-ranking Black Suns members off planet." He replies, pausing to consider the idea for a few moments before shrugging, "I suppose that plan would work well enough, though it would have to be either you or Freida to do that. Somehow I doubt that the Black Suns would believe that I'd really be there to buy drugs from them unless I was planning to sell them somewhere else."

You shrug, a small smile of amusement spreading across your face at the idea, "Oh I'm sure they'd believe you if you were nice enough to them." You say before turning your attention back to the map, "So, what do you think? You want one of us to try and sneak in there while you stage up outside or do you want to try one of the other ideas?"

Tobias shakes his head, "Personally I'd still prefer to just kick in the back door and take them out, after all there's probably only a dozen of them in there, maybe one or two more at most." He replies, looking to you, "Besides it'd be you or Freida on the line for the other plans anyways."

Hmm, well you guess that he kind of makes a point, though you suspect on some level that he's just trying to avoid making a decision on it himself. Either way it looks like he's willing to let you decide what the plan is this time. You've came up with a few, aside from your friend's insistence that you just kick in the door. You could try to sneak in the back door, though there's no guarantee that it'll be any safer of an option than Tobias' plan, or you could just open up with a full assault and blow a hole in the wall, you doubt that would make you too popular with the locals though. Alternatively there's still the option that Pa'tque offered. It's possible that his plan has the highest chance of success but you'd be alone if things go south.

Sitting back in your seat, you think your options over for a few minutes before shaking your head, "What if we split up and hit them from both sides at once?" You suggest carefully, "We could call Freida and ask if she wants to help, and if she does then the two of you could make some noise up front and distract them while I sneak in the back?"

Tobias stares at you for a few seconds, silently while one of Pa'tque's eye ridges arch at the idea, clearly somewhat skeptical though he doesn't offer any more input beyond that before setting your helmet down on the counter and walking back towards the workbench to grab another tool while your friend finally speaks up. "I guess I could see it working, but you'd still be alone back there. What kind of distraction did you have in mind for us though?"

"Well you've got a loud mouth, maybe you could serenade them?" You offer, smirking a little as the cyborg cocks his head in amusement at you before shaking his head.

"I doubt they would let me stick around too long if I started doing that." He replies critically, "And somehow I don't think that Freida would go along with it too well. She strikes me as the 'shoot now, sing never' type.

A short chuckle escapes you at your friend's assessment of the Israeli woman, though you can't really fault him for it, "I guess that's true..." You mutter, trailing off for a moment in thought as you consider how you want to play this. If you tell him to just go for a loud but non-violent distraction, at least until you give the signal, you might be able to sneak further in without raising an alarm...you could even get up to the second floor if you're lucky. On the other hand if you told him to get their attention by shooting at them it would definitely raise the alarm but you'd probably have a clearer path to wherever you want to go. Of course you could just leave what they do up to him and Freida, after all as long as they tell you what their plan is you should be able to react to it.

[1/2]
>>
>>36130385
So what do you want to tell him to do?
>Use a loud distraction, but don't get violent unless they have to. It'd be better to avoid getting into a drawn out firefight unless they have to.
>Hit them hard and fast, and draw as much attention to themselves as possible. It's a risk, but it may just let you get to Jo'wan that much faster if it works.

A small smile crosses your face as you offer your friend a shrug, "I'm sure that the two of you will figure something out by the time that you need to. It can't be that hard to distract a dozen wannabe thugs." You reason while standing up and grabbing your trash off the workbench to dispose of it.

"Most likely." The cyborg agrees, following you with his gaze as you toss the bag and your cup into the trash can by the counter, just as Pa'tque returns with an odd looking device. "I was just going to do that anyways if you were serious about trying to get me to sing."

You feign insult at your friend's admission, "Fine then, last time I offer you any ideas." You mutter, though you can't help the amused tone of your voice as you see Tobias move his head in his equivalent to rolling his eyes. Before either of you can say anything else though the four-armed alien butts back into the conversation, pulling your attention back to him completely as he connects his tool to one of the small outlets on the interior of your helmet, assuring that its electronics are still in order before sliding nodding his head in satisfaction.

"It's finished, Jack Yarrick. I was surprised at how easy it was to work with, considering its unique design, but it would appear that, as far as you speaking at least, your people are quite similar to the Quazar so I was able to use that as a sort of reference." Pa'tque says proudly, before continuing in a slightly more cautious tone, "I would still double check that the seals are in working order before exposing yourself to a vacuum or toxic gasses though..."

You nod in acknowledgement as you grab your helmet off the cabinet and look it over. You've got to hand it to him, the armorer does good work and if you weren't so intimately aware of the damage that the suit had taken you could almost believe that the seals had never been broken at all. "Alright, will do, Pa'tque. Thanks again for the discount."
[Continued]
>>
>>36131310
The four-armed alien merely shakes his head, a broad smile stretching out across his ridged face, "Not at all, Jack Yarrick, I appreciate the opportunity! Please, if you have anything else needing repairs, or if you or your friends decide to get a new piece of armor remember to come back to me!" He replies happily before glancing over at Tobias, "And if you happen to find any of my supplies in the Black Sun's building, I'd be very grateful if you would return them to me."

You raise an eyebrow at the armorer, glancing over at Tobias momentarily to see that he's cocked his own head in interest, before turning your attention back to the conversation, "What makes you think that we'll actually find any of your supplies still in there?" You ask curiously.

"There's no guarantee, of course, but I can't imagine that they would know what to do with material meant for crafting armor and space-worthy envirosuits." He replies with a shrug, "I suppose that they could have thought they could smuggle drugs in them, though that hardly seems like their style. As I said, if you don't find my shipment then that's fine, but if they're still there then it would save me having to re-order everything all over again."

Hmm, makes sense, you suppose. It's not like it would really take that much time out of your day to see if the shipment is still there if you wanted to, though you're not entirely sure that you would even recognize something like that if you saw it. You could ask him a little more about it, or maybe see just how grateful he would be to get them back if you wanted. Of course there's always the chance that you could be wasting your time, after all like he said, they could be using them to smuggle drugs in and out of the city.

What do you want to do?

>Ask about a reward. Just how grateful would he be to get this shipment back?

You look down at your helmet, admiring Pa'tque's work as you consider his request. Turning it over a couple of times in your hands you decide that it wouldn't hurt to at least ask what exactly you're looking for. "Well I can't promise anything, obviously, but we might be able to look around for it once we've taken care of Jo'wan." You offer, looking back up at him, "What exactly is it that you're looking for? I mean, I don't know if I would even recognize your shipment if I saw it."

The alien's face lights up at your response, his wide smile returning once again to his face, "Ah! Of course! Well the shipment shouldn't be too hard to find if it's there, the crate should be marked with a red Antusyac Arms shipping stamp." He explains, gesturing with his two left arms over to the red symbol stenciled on the side of one the open crates behind the counter. "Really there probably aren't too many crates with that stamp in their building, but if there are then just crack it open and take a look at it, my shipment will mostly just be armor components, you know things like breastplates, helmet shield and that kind of stuff. I'd be surprised if they left any of the guns in there."

"Alright, that shouldn't be too hard to remember then, I'll keep an eye out for it." You reply, nodding in understanding at his description before tightening your grip on your helmet and stepping back from the counter, "Well, if that's it then I think it's about time for us to get going. Thanks again for your help, Pa'tque."

The armorer shakes his head again, though he's still smiling as he waves you away with his top right arm, grabbing his testing unit with the bottom set, "As I said before, the pleasure was mine, friend. I wish you happy hunting with the Black Suns!" He says, before turning to put away his tools while you and Tobias make your way out of the shop.

As the two of you step back out into the previously crowded street, it hits you that the noise that washes over you has significantly diminished, dying down to a level that you would actually expect for a semi-busy marketplace on Earth. Apparently you're not the only one to notice the development, given the way that your friend is casting his glance around the market, something that you find yourself doing as well. "You know, I hate to complain about actually being able to hear myself think, but does this seem off to you?" You ask as just loud enough for the cyborg to hear as the two of you slowly start to make your way back towards the auto-taxi stand.

"I agree with your assessment." Tobias replies with a nod as you pass by a woman, or at least you're pretty sure it's a woman, trying to sell the two of you some kind of squirming fruit-like food. "At the risk of sounding overly paranoid, and cliched, I'd almost say that it's too quiet for the area."

Despite your uneasiness you can't help the amused smile that tugs at your lips at that, "You know, if you say things like that then you're pretty much just asking to get ambushed." You shoot back at him, though he doesn't respond to your jab with much more beyond a shrug and an amused glance.

"Maybe so, though it might be worth the ambush when I tell the story of how I saved you from certain death to Lizzie and Angelicia."

You let out a short chuckle, rolling your eyes at him as you form your response, though before you can actually put what was sure to be a witty reply to words your conversation is interrupted by the sound of shattering glass and a angry cry from around the corner, "Argh! You idiot! Do you have any idea who we are?!"

"Nein, but I know vat you are, alien, and zat is a coward. I vill not let you hurt zese people, zey are making honest money, and you vill not take it from zem!"

A look of surprise flashes over your face at the familiar voice, and as you round the corner you're even more surprised to see a pair of aliens crumpled on the ground underneath Hans with the German man's rifle directed down at them. You're not sure what, if anything, you should do about the situation, on the one hand Hans, as human as he is, has been nothing but an asshole to you since you met him, seeing him defend anybody other than himself is surprising to say the least, assuming that what you heard was actually what happened, though by the looks of things he might be getting ready to stay true to character, with his finger resting so close to the trigger on his rifle. You briefly wonder if you should jump in to stop him, whether to save him or the aliens though is still up in the air.

Before you can make any decision whatsoever though, you feel Tobias tap on your shoulder, gesturing to the black and white sun insignia on one of the alien's sleeves, "Those are Black Suns insignia, Jack, they were probably holding up one of the local shop keepers." He mutters in your ear, leading you to look at the scene just a little differently, though the question still remains as to whether or not you should interfere with the situation, after all you have no way of knowing how Hans or the Black Suns will react to you if you do.

What should you do?
>Keep out of this. It isn't your business...the aliens were hurting innocent people and are getting what they deserve, plus you really don't want to deal with Hans.
>Jump in and try to defuse the situation. You may not like Hans, but even out here on the frontier worlds, killing someone who can't defend themselves is still murder, something that he may not be thinking about.
>Break up the scene on the Black Suns' behalf. If you manage to save their hides and convince them that you're someone they can trust you might be able to gain access to the back door, if you can trust THEM that is.
>Wait and see how this turns out. You don't know for sure that Hans is going to kill them, and even if he does then it's not like it's your problem, is it?
>Write-in.

Could this be the distraction we were looking for? Though I would like to stick around in case someone needs some medical assistance.

I'm probably going to bring the thread to a close here soon, either that or call a break for a few hours so I can get some sleep. I do apologize that we haven't covered too much ground here, but I sadly still have obligations to tend to in the morning. I'll still write out whatever happens though, we just won't get to infiltrating the Black Suns' compound tonight, probably.

Sorry.

Sorry guys, vote's already been called. Hans will show up again in the story, but as for the two Suns....
>>
Shaking your head you let out a vaguely annoyed sigh. On one hand you actually applaud Hans' actions, particularly considering your previously entirely negative opinion of him, but on the other hand he's still an asshole. You briefly wonder if you should stick around and offer medical assistance to the two Black Suns lying on the ground, though as the German man delivers a rough kick to each of their faces you decide that it's probably a pointless effort for you to make considering the fact that you left your medkit back at the hotel.

With your decision made you turn your back on the scene and deliberately walk away in the direction of the auto-taxi stand. You notice that Tobias seems to lag behind you for a few moments, but after realizing that you clearly have no intention of getting involved he manages to catch up fairly quickly. "I'm surprised that you aren't sticking around to administer first aid to the Black Suns." He says simply, his tone completely neutral as he matches your pace.

You shrug in response, "I doubt that there's really much that I could do for them if I had. I'm pretty sure that if Hans was actually going to kill them we would have heard it by-" Your response is cut off by the distinctive roar of a gunshot, followed by a pained scream and another two shots in rapid succession. Your shoulders slouch momentarily at the realization that you probably just let the German man execute the two men, though you recover your composure relatively quickly as you realize that while it may not have been what you would have done if you held them at gunpoint, the gang members probably wouldn't have had a second thought about killing anybody they had in the same position.

Tobias declines his head as he looks at you, "It would appear that you know the man fairly well." He says simply, before turning on his heel and starting to make his way towards the taxi stand again, going at a pace just slow enough that you can keep up.

It only takes the two of you a couple more minutes to reach the taxis at your pace and as you climb into the back seat, letting Tobias punch in the address to your hotel as you do so, you let out a short sigh. "Do you think that I should have stopped him?" You ask tiredly, drawing a questioning gaze from him.

"Are you asking whether I think that stopping him from killing them would have been the right thing to do or whether or not YOU should have done it?" He responds curiously.

You frown at him answering your question with one of his own, "I hate it when you do that." You mutter, shaking your head in frustration, "Fine, both I guess."

The cyborg nods in response to your answer, almost as if he was expecting it, before shrugging in response, "Well, I didn't stop him either." He says simply, before redirecting his gaze out the window, almost as if he were trying to avoid looking at you, "As for whether I think you should have done it or not, I think it's irrelevant. You've already proven who you are to me when you saved Lizzie...I wouldn't have been able to do that without either emotionally scarring her for life or losing her. And then you went on to save four more lives directly and countless others indirectly. As far as I'm concerned, you're a good man. That's all that really matters, I think."

You blink in surprise at your friend's response, clearly not expecting it, though before you can respond to it he changes the subject. "It won't take us very long to get to the hotel. It would appear that the Black Suns will be down two men on their perimeter, coincidentally. If you would like, I could contact Freida and see if she wishes to join us while you retrieve whatever gear you think you need from your room. I'll also need to to talk to Angelicia and see if she can watch Lizzie for me tonight. As much as I appreciate Abigail's offer to take care of her while I was out with you this afternoon, I believe that Lizzie is still set on a sleepover."

You let out an uncomfortable grumble at the reminder of your and Angel's impromptu meeting with the little girl earlier this morning. In retrospect, both you and Angelicia probably could have handled that, as well as the mess after the contract signing, better than you did, though with any luck the scene will have blown over by now. You doubt that Tom or Reece will let you forget it anytime soon, but aside from being mildly embarrassing it's hardly worth getting worked up about. "Yeah...I'm sure she'd like the chance to spend some more time with Angel." You mutter before letting out a sigh and leaning back in your seat, "If you need more time to make arrangements for Lizzie I could talk to Freida for you if you want." You offer, "It's not like it should take me too long to get ready."

The cyborg shrugs in response, "If you would like to do that then I would appreciate it, though you certainly don't need to. I'm more than capable of multi-tasking if I need to."

You're almost surprised at Tobias' answer...aside from him asking you if you wanted to take this job with him, that's probably the closest you've heard him come to accepting any help that you've offered him, though it's clear that he'd be able to handle it himself if he had to. You suppose that, since you did offer, you could go and talk to Freida once you get back to the hotel, her room isn't far from your own after all, and it's not like it would kill you to actually ask her in person instead of over the comms like your friend probably would. Of course if you'd rather just get geared up and ready to go, you're sure both of them would understand.

So what do you want to do once you get back to the hotel? This will start off the first post of the next thread.
>Go and talk to Freida. It only seems fair that you give her the courtesy of a face-to-face offer, after all.
>Let Tobias do it. You'd rather just head up and get ready, you'll have plenty of time to talk to Freida later.

"Alright, just go ahead and take care of what you need to with Lizzie, Tobias, I'll talk to Freida and catch her up on the situation." You say, drawing a nod from the cyborg as the taxi slowly begins to descend towards the landing pad near the hotel.

"Thank you, Jack."

You shake your head in response, offering your friend a smile, "Hey, no problem. I wouldn't have offered if I wasn't willing to do it." You reply, waving off his thanks as the taxi jostles the two of you slightly with the landing. "Besides, I know where it is, but I still haven't got to see Freida's room yet, I'm curious what it looks like." You add while pulling yourself from the air-car, drawing a somewhat amused look from the cyborg.

"You're going to get yourself into mess if you're not careful, Jack." Tobias shoots back jokingly, before shrugging, "I suppose that it isn't my problem if Freida kicks your ass though...it might be kind of funny to see both her and Angelicia beat you down though."

You roll your eyes at his jab before shrugging your shoulders and offering him a nonchalant grin, "Maybe so, but if that does happen then you totally owe me one, so at least I'm not the only one that's going to be mixed up in that." You respond, before breaking off in the opposite direction from him, towards the elevator nearest Freida's room, "I'll see you in a couple of hours, Tobias."

While it's clear that the cyborg is amused by your comeback he merely nods in response before taking off towards his own room. As you step into the elevator and thumb the button to the twelfth floor a small smile spreads across your face. Between the planning for the expedition, the mess you've somehow managed to get yourself into with Angel, and you agreeing to help Tobias with a job that was significantly larger than you initially expected, you've got your work cut out for you. You wouldn't have it any other way though.

>End of Episode 12.
>>
Alrighty, well obviously that's a wrap with this thread. I'll stick around for any comments, questions, or concerns for a little while, but then I'm heading to bed.

I'm glad that there are a few of you that are still sticking around for this. I know that I disappeared for quite a while after Episode 11, but I assure you that it was entirely due to my workload with classes. That said, I think I may have finally managed to get things balanced semi-reasonably so here's to hoping that Galaxy Quest will make a permanent return, after all I really enjoy writing it for you guys.

Anyways, I'll try and get a thread going on Friday afternoon/evening, but I can't guarantee anything, as I may be having an early Thanksgiving with a couple of my friends, if that happens then I'll probably run sometime during the weekend.

Also, just because I'm curious, what are your guys' take on the this episode? Was it acceptable? Good? Horrible? I'd be happy to accept feedback, not going to get any better if I don't have it, though I'm afraid that my update times would appear to be staying where they're at until I can naturally start getting them out faster. In for a long wait there

I agree that it's pretty short, but he did run for almost ten hours. Probably would have been better if he ran earlier.

Other than that though I thought it was pretty cool, I like the planning stuff, especially when it means that we're going to get to do stuff next thread. And then after that the ruins are coming up, maybe we'll make enough money or find a working ship there and then we can become space bounty hunters or something full time with Angel and Toby and Lizzie and the rest of our friends.
>>
>>36136178
Maybe. I'd still prefer to be a space doctor, but I guess that being a combat medic works for me too. Everybody still has to make it through the ruins though...Hawk's already proven that he's willing to kill named characters...

I hope I'm wrong though.
>>
Will we get to talk to Lizzie next thread?
Is there something worthwhile in the BS compound?
Are we going to get to play doctor again?
How much pistol ammo do we have?
Will you ever finish that lewd pastebin?
Do you like tacos?
>>
Glad to see this back, Hawk, looking forward to seeing more from you soon.
