Main story will resume shortly.]A happy life. That's what he promised you. You're not really sure what makes a happy life but you wanted it nonetheless. You wanted to be treated with respect for once. You wanted to be appreciated. You wanted to be loved. You wanted all of those things. And that's why you ran away with him, because you thought he could give you those things. You couldn't have been more wrong. It's been two weeks now. Two weeks since you packed a meager collection of your belongings and left in the middle of the night. Two weeks without a home, two weeks of having to steal all of your meals. Of course that wouldn't be a problem if you followed Danny's suggestion and "whored out your pretty little Asian ass." Some boyfriend he turned out to be. And now, by way of his idea of an apology, you're holed up in the basement of a laundromat watching him scribble weird patterns on the floor. The icy concrete launches waves of cold up your spine and the loud thumping of machines above you echoes loudly through the open space with only a few rusty old washers and a box of spare parts, you already checked for food, to absorb the noise. You would worry about catching a cold if the slight warmness creeping from your nose hadn't reminded you that wasn't a concern anymore. You sniffle a little louder than necessary to make a point of your opinion of his latest idea, but Danny is still going about his work enthusiastically. Failing to grab his attention you instead resort to words, stating your case flatly. "This is retarded. You don't really believe in that shit, do you?"
>>36018481Danny looks up from his work, as always with that annoying smirk wide across his face. His still bloody nose at least grants you a fleeting sensation of joy. "I don't just believe, I know! Trust me, it's totally going to work. This is going to blow your mind!" Gypsy magic he called it. The idiot honestly believes he can do magic. At least he's not carving the intestines out of some poor animal but it's still crazy and a waste of time you could be spending looking for something to eat.You are Ayaka, a 15-year old runaway. Before you ran away you were occasionally known as Nee-chan, a nickname given to you by your half-sister after she learned of your Asian heritage. Not long from now you will be known as the Loli Talker, a specialist dealing in bringing unreasonable young girls to reason. In that time, you are on a very peculiar job, having been hired for unclear reasons by some eccentric rich guy with more money than he knows what to do with to guide a ship across the Pacific from the United States to Japan aided only by a tiny crew of equally small girls. But you are not that person yet. Danny claps his hands, the additional noise echoing through the room serving to increase the pressure on your head further. "It's ready! Just think of a wish, any wish, and the spell will make it real! Got it?" A wish, huh? If this really worked, why didn't he just do this long ago? You draw out a sigh. At least it can't hurt you to play along so you can get out of here. "Sure, whatever." You wish...>For happiness.>To find true love.>To get far away from here.
>>36018486>To get far away from here.
>>36018486>To find true love.Cause this sure isn't it!
Hmmm, quite contentious this.
>>36018563>>36018592>>36018598>>36018719Merge these into "Finding hapiness far away from here"?
>>36018836Sounds good to me.
>>36018836That could work, I suppose. This update could turn out a little lengthy, I may need a while to get this done. Will write as fast as I can. Sorry!
Quite the interesting intro. I'm very excited to see what happens next update!
>>36019452You think the magic will be real?
>>36019500Maybe, or maybe only in ~our heart~
>>36019500>>36019575>Implying next update isn't Andrea crashing in on a motorcycle and running this guy over
>>36019626Nah. This will end with Nee-chan separated from her BF, crying herself to sleep on an empty stomach.
>>36019684You're too negative, anon!Do we know anything about whether she met Andrea before/after parting from Daniel?
>>36019684Google has only given me moon runes, where is this from?
>>36019738It's your guys' fault I'm not popular. Or however it's popularly translated nowadays
>>36019873Ah, I was talking what's the name of that doujin though. It looks like a doujin and I'd like to read it.
>>36018486You wish for happiness. Preferably far away from here. Far away from this jerk, that's the most important part. Hell, by now you'd even settle for home. At least then you would see your sister again. Your mind settles on that thought, the image of your sisters joyous smile refusing to depart. The patterns on the floor suddenly light up, turning from their dark red to bright pink, their light bathing the room as if someone had applied a color filter to reality. Maybe it really is working, as much as you hate to admit it. You can feel a slight tickle in your chest.Suddenly Danny springs to his feet, eyes wide and mouth agape as he backs away from the patterns. But didn't he do this, why is he so surprised? The question rapidly evaporates from your mind as the glow of the patterns intensifies into a bright ray of pink swirling above the ground, gathering into a growing sphere. Danny continues to back away, quaking and stuttering. "W-what the h-hell is this?" You're not cold at all anymore. The last specks of light cease their swirling to be absorbed by the growing sphere, now about the size of a golf ball. You find your eyes involuntarily drawn to the sphere, shifting figures appearing on its surface. A small castle, a boat, then finally the face of a young girl, her wondering face turning to one of amusement as her voice drowns out all other noises. "We're going to have so much fun!"Pain. An excruciating pain replaces the tickling sensation as the sphere jumps from its position and straight into your chest. You collapse to the ground, helpless. Through the corner of your eye you can see your boyfriend, definitely now your ex, stumbling up the stairs. Darkness returns to the room as the bright pink fades. The pain moves from your chest, coursing through your body for the longest moment of your life before once again gathering in your chest. 1/3
>>36019965A pulling sensation and the light bursts from your chest just as forcefully as it had entered, returning the bright pink to your surroundings. The pain recedes as the sphere hovers above you and the crazed giggling of the girl pounds away at your ears. You try to stand up, but your body is completely drained of energy. You almost feel... hollow? Weakly managing to roll unto your side, you lift up your right arm supported by your left in an attempt to reach out for the sphere. It lifts slightly further off the ground, mocking you. Your arms fall back to the ground as you struggle to even keep your eyes open any longer. Finally, the laughter ceases and the sphere shrinks before your eyes, slowly turning into nothing. In its last moment, the girl's voice cries out to you again. "See you soon!"Darkness once again settles and your eyes slowly slip shut. You want to cry but even that is a struggle now. Instead your eyes slowly slip shut as you consciousness fades. For a brief moment a weak blue light flickers into your vision, then nothing.2/3
>>36019990You awake on a couch. A soft couch, softer than anything you've felt in weeks. A big white blanket patterned with heart shapes is wrapped around you though it does little to fight the cold sensation. Looking about the room it appears more than a little girly. Plushies of various shapes, colors, and sizes line most of the walls, on the ground and on shelves. The only exception is the wall to your right being dominated by a bookshelf filled with the largest books you've ever seen though several of them are strewn across the floor. The walls in front of you and to your left both have closed doors. Strangely, there are no windows. A small rectangular table has been placed in front of the couch you find yourself in. Leaned against the table is a girl with bright blue hair, apparently asleep with one of the large books in her lap. Shuffling about a bit you confirm that you can move your body again, though the hollow sensation is still there. You are also still fully clothed, something you only recently made a habit of checking. You're not sure what to make of the situation though.>Try to wake the strange girl?>Try to sneak away without waking her?>Try to knock her out, just to be safe?>Something else?I shouldn't write these huge updates, that took ages!
>>36020031>Try to wake the strange girl?Did we just magicaly create a little girl? Using thoughts of our little sister being happy?
>>36020031>Try to wake the strange girl?
>>36020031>Try to wake the strange girl?No random acts of violence at least.
>>36020031>Wake the strange girlWhat could possibly go wrong?
>>36020031>Try to sneak away without waking her?Run away!
You're still not sure what happened, or how you got here. And waking up in a stranger's room after passing out is definitely not very comforting. Even so, you a part of you feels that you can trust the girl. After all, she doesn't seem to have done anything to you other than give you somewhere to sleep. That's certainly a welcome change to you. You slowly sit up in the couch, keeping the blanket firmly wrapped around you. You still feel cold. Reaching out your right arm, you give her a poke on the shoulder. Your effort is awarded with a brief stream of incoherent mumbling from her mouth. You try to speak instead, a similarly incoherent sound coming out as you discover just how hoarse you are. You take a moment to clear your throat, apparently serving the double purpose of startling the girl awake. The girl blinks a few times while staring into the book in her lap as she mumbles to herself. "Wha-? I fell asleep? What was I doing? Oh right! I had to-" She stops mid sentence, then looks frantically about the room to finally notice your presence with a start."Ah, Ayaka! You're awake!" She springs to her feet to stand before you, looking you over. "I was so worried! Please, are you okay? Can I get you something to eat? Something to drink? Do you need a new pillow, another blanket? Are you feeling better?">Actually, you might literally be starving...>Something to drink would do wonders for your throat now that you think about it.>Wait, she knows your name? >>36020660Sure. In conversation you can usually do all of the prompts but players might not always want to, and even then I need to know what your focus is to make sure you actually have some input on what's going on rather than just watching me write.Plus you're free to write in additional stuff.

>>36020544>Actually, you might literally be starving...>Something to drink would do wonders for your throat now that you think about it.>Wait, she knows your name? Why does she know your name?
>>36020544"Actually," You start. "I think I might literally be starv- wait you know my name! Why the hell do you know my name?"The girl gasps in surprise at your outburst before her expression turns to one of sadness. "I forgot you wouldn't remember me... sorry, I must be scaring you. Please, tell me anything I can get for you and I promise I'll explain! Just please don't be afraid!"You really should press for an answer here, but all of the things she suggested really do sound good. You give her a nod, and her face lightens up in relief. "I really am hungry. And thirsty. And cold." She responds with a warm smile, blatantly trying to appear comforting despite the worry painted over the rest of her face. "I'll do my best. Please wait here." And she barges through the door in front of you, revealing a small kitchen to be on the other side. Though the door closes behind her you can clearly hear the clattering of pots and pans.>Just lean back and wait?>Try to sneak off while she's gone?>Take a peek at the book she reading?>Something else?

>>36021091>>36021125Oooh, I like this one. Let's see what she's doing.
>>36021125There's nothing stopping you from trying.>>36021138>Be the naughty loli, one last time. You're 15 in this flashback, just in case you missed that part.
>>36021222>You're 15 in this flashback, just in case you missed that part. No, I got it. You're never too old to be a naughty loli (but you can be too nee-chan for it)
>>36021125Let us help the girl.
>>36021091I'll back >>36021142
>>36021091You would love nothing more than to stay right here and let yourself melt away in the soft couch but your ever-present curiosity is far stronger. Or in this case it might be a sense of self-preservation. You still know nothing about this girl except that she's strange. And you have the perfect excuse to spy on her! You stand up from the couch, keeping the blanket wrapped tightly around you as you make your way to the kitchen and slowly slide the door open. The kitchen on the other side is even smaller than it looked from the outside, featuring only a fridge, a sink, a two-plate stove, and a small working area. A pot with the lid on is warming on the table while the girl is busy chopping away at a pair of carrots. Spotting you in the door, she quickly drops the knife in her hands and runs to your side, grabbing you by the shoulders and gently pushing you out of the kitchen. "No no no, please, you should be resting!"You try to explain that you just wanted to help, but she continues to drag you back to the couch. "Please Ayaka, let me take care of you for now. I owe you that at least!" It seems you have little choice in the matter, your starving and drained body far too weak to put up much of a fight as she sits you back down. "It won't be long, just wait here please!" She shouts as she disappears back into the kitchen.Well, that failed. Perhaps you could settle for sneaking a peek at the book she was reading. It must have been important, after all. Scooting down from the couch and unto the grey carpeted floor you reach out to pick up the book. The moment you touch the book however, it jumps into the air and slams itself shut. You try to pry it back open but whatever force is holding it shut is much stronger than you. It occurs to you that you should be weirded out by what just happened but somehow you don't feel surprised at all.1/2
Your attempts at gathering intelligence foiled you resign yourself to the couch, a decision you quickly realize the wisdom of as all the muscles in your body relax, leaving you feeling as if you were floating on air. You're strongly considering slipping back into sleep's embrace when the swings back open, the girl stepping through with a steaming hot bowl of what appears to be some variety of soup that she places before you. You recognize the slices of carrot floating in the bowl but you can't really tell what the clear soup actually is, especially since your cold has left your sense of smell more than a little lacking. "This should make you feel much better!">Eat the soup?>Don't eat the soup? The girl looks around the room, her eyes settling for a moment on the now closed book on the floor. A slight frown. Sitting down on the same spot of the floor that she had previously occupied, she forces another smile before turning to look at you. "You must be so confused. Please, ask me anything and I'll do my best to explain.">Ask her who she is?>Ask her where you are?>Ask her why she's helping you?>Ask her why the hell she knows your name?>Ask her what happened?>Other questions? (Write-in)
>>36022085>Eat the soup?Too hungry!>Ask her who she is?Let's start at the beginning.
>>36022085>Eat the soup>Ask her who she is?>Ask her why the hell she knows your name?>Ask her what happened?
>>36022085>Eat the soup?>Ask her who she is?>Ask her where you are?>Ask her why she's helping you?>Ask her why the hell she knows your name?

>>36022085>Eat the soup?>Ask why she's so nice?
>>36022085>Eat the soup?>Ask her who she is?>Ask her why she's helping you?>Ask her why the hell she knows your name?
>>36022085You do have questions. But you also have a bowl filled with a variety of nutrients you're certain your body has been sorely missing. You quickly dig in, giving no regard to the girl trying to warn you that the soup is scorching hot. And while it is just that, you really don't care, swallowing spoonfuls before they get a chance to burn your mouth. In the brief moments that your tongue is actually in contact with the soup you note that it is surprisingly sweet. You're still not sure what it is, you don't think you've ever had it before, but it definitely fills your needs for now. The strange girl can do nothing but stare in awe as you empty the entire bowl within less than a minute. You feel your cheeks heating up in embarrassment upon seeing her reaction. She giggles softly, one hand covering her mouth as she does so. "Another round?"While you could certainly stomach more of the soup, perhaps even taking a moment to taste it properly this time, you'd rather not embarrass yourself too much. You shake your head lightly in denial. "First, tell me who you are.""My name is Andrea, I'm.." She pauses a moment to consider her answer. "Sorry, it's a little awkward explaining this to you again. I, well, I am someone who helps young girls. Including you!"She avoids your eyes, clearly aware at how awkward that explanation was. You push for more. "So what, you're some kind of social worker? A little young for that, aren't you? So that's why you're helping me, it's just your job?"She raises her hands to her chest in shock at this question. "What, no! It's not like that at all, I want to help because I care about y-" She sees the grin on your face. "Oh. You tricked me. I'm not good at lying, am I?"1/2
>>36022982She sighs. "Alright, I'll start from the beginning. I work for, well, a god. Or goddess, I guess. I don't even remember her name, the others don't care because I'm not a priest. I'm just supposed to care for troubled young girls, like I said, try to make them happy. By using magic. I know it sounds crazy, but it's what I do. Ever since I was recruited."Again, you feel like this should be weirding you out more than it is. She continues. "That's why I know you. I was supposed to recruit you. You don't remember because I didn't do it. I backed out. And that was wrong. If I had done my job, this wouldn't have happened to you! So that's why I owe you, and you need to let me help you!"The intake of information leaves you short for words and you instead look down at the empty bowl, asking meekly for some more. Andrea quickly brings you a fresh bowl which you slowly sip away at while considering your next question.>Ask her more about her "job"?>Ask her why she backed out?>Move on to asking about what happened before you got here?>Ask something else?
>>36023008>Ask her more about her "job"?>Ask her why she backed out?You could have stopped this!
>>36023008>Ask her why she backed out?>Move on to asking about what happened before you got here?
>>36023008>Ask her why she backed out?
>>36023008>How long have you been stalking me?
>>36023008>Ask her more about her "job"?>Ask her why she backed out?>Move on to asking about what happened before you got here?
>>36023141Haha, I like this one! I'd prefer it more joking than accusatory though.
>>36023008"So how long have you been stalking me?" You joke. She doesn't seem to catch the joke though, nervously stuttering a response. "St-stalking? I didn't- well, maybe a little. I've sort of watched you since we met, three years ago. But not all the time! You're sort of too old now so I'm not supposed to help you anymore..."Well that joke didn't work. Maybe you should just keep asking questions."So. I was supposed to be like you, then?" You consider that for a while. Your life hasn't exactly been magical or very bright. You might have welcomed whatever it is she's talking about. "Why did you back out, then?"Andrea locks her eyes with yours, staring straight into them for several moments. Just as it's beginning to unnerve you, she breaks the eye contact and speaks. "That's why. It's in your eyes, just like it was three years ago. People like me, we don't have anyone, we have to start new lives, permanently. For me, that was easy. I had no family or friends. But you do."The image of your sister flashes through your mind again. Andrea continues. "I couldn't ask you to give her up. It wouldn't be right to either of you I thought. So I made you forget it." She looks you up and down. "But I was wrong, because now you're," She sniffles and you notice her eyes have begun to tear up. "Now this happened to you. And it's my fault!"Seeing your apparent saviour sobbing like that, you feel a little bad to push the issue further but you really need to know. "What exactly happened? I don't understand at all."This time she doesn't look at you at all, instead hugging her knees as she stares straight into the wall. "Do you feel different? Hollow?" That's exactly how you feel! You tell her as much, asking her what it means. She remains silent for several long moments, sobbing mildly as she struggles to answer your question. "I'll help you! In every way that I can! Don't worry, we can fix this!"1/2
>>36023899She didn't answer your question. You hesitate to ask again, a sensation that you may not want to know the answer hanging over you. But you ask. "Fix what? What happened to me?""Your..." She answers between sobs. "whatever you created, it took your soul. And you... well, you need that to live." She picks the book off the floor, standing up to put it back in its place. Finally she turns back to you. "We still have time. We just need to find her. And we'll need certain materials. Expensive ones. I might need your help with that."She forces a smile between her tears. "And I know exactly what you can do to help."[End of bonus flashback scene "Blue."]Gee, that turned out much longer than planned! Sorry about that, will need some more time to jump us back to the main story, thought I should post this before you think I died or something.
>>36023928Awww fuck something stole our soul in the past. Not a very good thing. What are the side effects of that? Sounds a bit like the nWoD soulless condition. At first you don't notice much, hell you feel like you can take on the world. But that's a false bravado, brought on by the shock of the truly profound theft that you are the victim of. Eventually, you degenerate into what amounts to a zombie. Unable to care about yourself, unable to really act on your own "will" and just do what everyone tells you to at best, just lying down and giving up on life at worst. Of course, if you get it back you eventually regain everything, but still, never a pleasant experience.
>>36023928Thanks for the post to mention it, haha. Anons can get panicky fast so probably smart.
>>36024167We're pretty cute for a zombie.
>>36023928Lisa gives you a curious look. "She" probably wasn't expecting you to respond like that considering how she's really completely at your mercy now that you know her secret. But part of you wants to share it with someone, so why not someone you know won't dare to tell a soul? So you'll tell her your secret. Not that secret, the other one. The one that not even Andrea knows about, at least you don't think she does. It would definitely be awkward if she did."I..." You know the words, but you have never spoken them so your tongue seems to get caught on itself. You start over. "I think I'm in love. With a girl." Lisa bursts into laughter at that. "That's all?"You've never told a soul, nobody knows but you. Your only true secret, and the response you receive is laughter? Anger begins to surge inside you, which Lisa quickly picks up on. "Sorry, sorry! It's just, you made it sound like it was something horrible and instead it's so innocent. I'm just surprised!"Lisa takes a deep breath, putting an end to the laughter, then smiles to you. "You know I'm not going to tell you there's anything weird about that, so you wanted to talk about it didn't you? I can do that. You said you think you're in love, not that you are. What makes you think it?">She makes you feel safe, comfortable. More than anyone else ever have.>She makes you feel like you could take on the entire world when you're with her.>She makes you feel something, you're not sure what but you've never felt it with anyone else.Pick ONE.
>>36024337>She makes you feel safe, comfortable. More than even your parents ever could.
>>36024337>She makes you feel safe, comfortable. More than anyone else ever have.
>>36024337>She makes you feel like you could take on the entire world when you're with her.Oops, almost forgot to check this.
>>36024337>She makes you feel like you could take on the entire world when you're with her.
>>36024337>She makes you feel safe, comfortable. More than anyone else ever have.>>36024412Hmmm, but her sister seems more relevant a comparison really.
>>36024581A little sister is not someone that keeps you safe, she is someone you keep safe.
>>36024167It becomes a little more complicated in this case. Present time Andrea knows a lot more about it than past Andrea, she might tell you. For now, suffice it to say that you're not playing a zombie. The effects of the situation have appeared now and then throughout the quest, but not the end result. Because that belongs in the endgame which is not where we are.All will be made clear in episode 3. Because I need a reason to keep you around for that and I won't be holding the other reason hostage that long.
>>36024337>She makes you feel something, you're not sure what but you've never felt it with anyone else. What is this feeling?
>>36024624You can still feel safe around them.
>>36024337"She makes me feel safe, comfortable. More than anyone else." The words seem to be flowing freely from you now, a burden lifting itself from your shoulders. You've really needed to tell someone. "When I'm with her, I feel like everything will be just fine as long as we're together. The entire world could blow up and we would be fine." For all you know, that could be true. You're still not sure what she can and can't do, but probably not that. "Do you know what I mean?"Lisa shakes her head forcefully. "Nope, not at all!" A rather harsh response. "But! If that's how you feel it's probably true. Your feelings can't lie to you, so you should trust them. Have you told her?"Of course you haven't, it wouldn't be a secret if you had! You sigh. "No. I can't." Lisa returns a knowing smile. "I think I know where this is going."You continue without regard for the remark. "She's been a really great friend. I owe her so much. I don't want to risk ruining that. I can't risk it."At this, Lisa merely shrugs. "She might feel the same way about you. And even if she doesn't, wouldn't you be a bad friend if you kept that secret instead of trusting her?">Maybe you should tell her next time you see her?>No. You absolutely can't tell her.>Tell Lisa you'll tell the truth if she does too.
>>36025130>Maybe you should tell her next time you see her?
>>36025130>N-no, I'm just sparing her the awkwardness. I'm sure she wouldn't take it that badly, but...that one moment when she first realizes, seeing her face...that's the one I'm scared of.
>>36025130>You'll think about it.
>>36025130>No. You absolutely can't tell her.I feel kinda bad choosing this solely because Andrea is probably gonna confess either way letting me double-dip in angst and fluff. But that's okay!
>>36025130>Tell Lisa you'll tell the truth if she does too.
2 votes in favor of confessing, 2 votes for maybe, 1 vote for definitely not, 1 vote for blackmail, and 1 vote for being extra-awkward.I'm not sure I can make any kind of satisfying compromise here. I think mostly I'm surprised that blackmail only got one vote.
>>36025456>I think mostly I'm surprised that blackmail only got one vote.Haha, well honestly we don't have much incentive for doing it, from a meta standpoint.Anyway, I'm sticking with no way for angsty reasons, because I enjoy that. Andrea has to do it!
>>36025456I dunno, it's basically 4 for generally agreeing, 2 against, and one for blackmail. Pretty clear.
Rolled 1 (1d6)Flipping a mutant coin. 1-2 for promising to tell her, 3-4 for a solid maybe, 5-6 for special option.>>36025553A definite yes and a maybe make a significant difference for me down the line. I need to determine a winner even if the difference right now is minimal.
>>36025130The things you just said, it basically comes down to one thing. You trust her. You can trust her with anything. You can trust her with this too. No, you need to trust her. If you don't, then how can you even call yourself her friend, let alone her... something more? "You're right. I need to tell her. And I will, next time I see her."Lisa is left completely flabbergasted at this. "Wait, what? That's all and just like that you're convinced? You've been holding on to that how long and all I needed to say was that? No return arguments? Are you sure you're even a girl?"You don't get a chance to respond to that offense as you are interrupted by a loud splash coming from outside followed by several girlish screams. Sounds like break time is over.
>>36025613I don't think anons are THAT invested in one over another even so.
>>36025942Annnd, I'm cutting this a bit earlier than planned but I don't see myself making it to the next good stopping point before crashing. Sorry to make the thread so short. I didn't get nearly as much done as I hoped, once again proving to myself that I can't into pacing at all. To compensate, next thread will be very soon, possibly even tomorrow.Because I really want to get to that scene. You know which one.So, I hope to see you next time, and I hope you enjoyed the thread. Archival will happen momentarily, and I will stick around for a while for questions or discussion if you guys have anything like that.
>>36026035Looking forward to it!How long have you planned for the whole zombie background story thing?
>>36026035Thanks for running.
>>36026035Thanks for running
>>36026035Thanks for running!Did you have Andrea and her personality planned from the start, or was it just an idea that popped up?
>>36026035Thanks for the thread, nee-san.
>>36026035Thanks for running.>>36026076We ain't a zombie. Either we recovered our soul, jury rigged us something that'll pass for one and/or found a way to slow or halt any degeneration and maybe we're still in the process of getting it back.Using nWoD as a base, there was one other option. If you lost your soul you could just take someone elses and slap it into your body to relieve the condition. They never detailed the side effects of that, but honestly MC is too nice to do something so horrible as that to someone for her own sake. So that's right out.
>>36026249Maybe Andrea gave us hers...
>>36026076Nee-chan isn't a zombie! But the specific part of the background you saw in the flashback has existed from the start, at least in a sense. I just didn't plan to actually go into that since I was only expecting to do episode 1 initially so I wound up switching around some details and filling out certain blanks. I don't know how much of it can change before it stops counting as planned from the start, but... see http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/35045442/#p35045833>>36026117Andrea actually started off as just a means for me to foreshadow episode 2. People showed interest in her so I started developing her and looking for a way to entwine hers and Nee-chans history. I actually like her a lot now and my biggest regret is that I can't include her directly yet.
>>36026428>http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/35045442/#p35045833So where's our QT extra-dimensional pal?
>>36026428>Andrea actually started off as just a means for me to foreshadow episode 2.I'm surprised given how big a thing, character-wise, her shopping promised to be. I mean, you don't generally see a ~mysterious character~ having romantic interest in the MC of a thus-far empty of romance quest and expect them to be a non-entity, really.
>>36026516The reason she hasn't helped is simply because you avoided the situations where she could have helped you out of trouble. An unused safety net.>>36026601Honestly? Completely spur of the moment. About half way through the shopping scene my brain just decided I should totally make her a romantic interest because lesbians. I ended up agreeing because I've never written cute lesbians. I've never written cute girls either, which is one of the major reasons I decided to write this quest when the idea was spawned in QTG. I'm not sure why I'm intentionally doing things I have no idea how to do, but it's fun.
>>36026933Haha, well you seem to be handling things pretty well for a first. Hopefully you can make it all the way through equally competently, as it were.Wouldn't have thought you never wrote lesbians, much less cute girls, before. Obviously, given this quest.
>>36026933Hmmm, I'd tell you to write more things spur of the moment but we wouldn't want any tragic deaths, sudden musical interruptions or the like.
>>36026035thanks for running
>>36027058I'll do my best. Running this quest has definitely influenced me towards making my planned quest, the one I originally intended as my debut, to shift towards being more cute-centered than I originally wanted it to be, so I certainly intend to do my best to learn and get better at it.>>36027120Tragic deaths are still a definite no-no. It's just not gonna happen in this quest. There haven't even been any failstates, I always planned for it to be impossible for you to fail completely, at worst individual encounters could turn out somewhat unfavorably.I may have mentioned it before, but I'll just do so again. Episode 3 will be different in that regard and losing will be something that can definitely happen. Though I allow that only because I know I can make the bad ends at least as cute as the good end, if not even more. Either way I get to write something cute.
>>36027520We're up for the challenge!I'm interested in what your planned quest is like too.
>>36027535I should probably not say too much about that since it's still very much a work in progress that I actually need to properly develop the setting of.What I definitely can tell you is that the setting is a version of our world where all adults just up and vanished overnight, leaving children to take care of themselves and each other. Combined with supernatural stuff appearing all over the place, I'm aiming for it to turn out as a mostly lighthearted world with absolutely no fucks given to what realistically would happen if you left children alone forever. Focus would be on exploring the ruins of the old world and the mysterious locations created in the new world and its magical elements, befriending children you don't know, and maybe trying to figure out why shit even happened. Or maybe not. I don't even care because I mostly just want to write fun adventures about wonder and friendship. And maybe love, depending on where I end up placing the age limit.
>>36027975Sounds like it has potential. I'll look forward to it.
>>36027975http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C2Pt-LnQ2poI like this, for reasons. War... war never changes.
