1. Those test scores seem highly suspect. For her to so conveniently top Merlin in just about everything and Longstreet not snatching her up for herself.

2. Some of the problems with throwing an inexperienced nugget into the front lines, like many have mentioned already.

3. There is no guaranteed that the new RIO can handle Fronk's power levels like Merlin has. At best, we'll end up like we did with Katya. At worst, we'll end up with the plane literally flying apart during the middle of a dog fight and it'll be game over man, game over.

Actually. It's never been tested that well. There have only been two instances and both aren't exactly good test data.

1. Flying a Tomcat with Katya. Not a good data point because it doesn't have the witch integration unit like the Wyvern and she had no idea it would be required. I faintly remember it be described as if Frank was reaching out to her for magical power or something.

2. The time Mav got in with Merlin's settings and it knocked her out. The settings have since been adjusted to not do that for non-Merlins but nobody else has flown with Frank.

For some silly reason (I blame Ghost) there was never any thorough testing at Barin of what part of the Frank/Merlin team is most critical. What they should have done is have Frank and Alyssa swap RIOs and do combat tests to see if either pair had a significant difference in combat ability to the original pairs.

Sure it took her a while but she has found a really good way to finally hamstring us. And no she probably doesnt care about any of the reasons that you have mentioned for not tearing spellcaster apart. She HATES us, hates us with a passion. So at this point, now that an opportunity to fuck us over has just fallen right out of the sky with zero consequences, she is of course going to press the issue.

This is going to go badly for us either way, we either go deep into debt with a BUNCH of other witches, whom probably have just as little care as Longstreet does in the end, or we lose Merlin. This will not end well.

Not the same anon, but it's a reasonable speculation based mainly on two things.

1. She's coming at the same time we're being forced to give Merlin to Longstreet.
2. It's been mentioned in thread before that Longstreet has a ridiculous amount of power in Annapolis because of her position there and her ability to influence all the students.

Is it absolute proof?

No, because that will never happen.

Do I even think she's a spy?

I'm at about 50-50 myself, there's no real proof, like I said, but the speculation isn't completely off base.
