PREVIOUSLY ON MAGICAL GIRL LIBERTY: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?searchall=Magical+Girl+Liberty>> BACK AT THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA… <<You walk with Rana and Anneliese down the tarmac runway. A cadre of security guards follows you with the prisoners: Engelhardt and Knives, in tow. The two are heavily bound with their hands cuffed behind their backs, their mouths muzzled up, and even anti-magic collars for the both of them. You won’t take chances now, not with those two.And there to meet you at the end of the runway is Henrietta Garrett (AKA Magical Girl Stringer), more Security Guards, and Kirby. Henrietta grins, holding out her arms. “Oh hey, you three! Nice to see ya again, ya?” You nod, smiling as you give her a brief hug. She looks over at Anneliese. “Anneliese, you look terrible dontcha know. Something the matter?”Anneliese shakes her head, still with a glare on her face. “I am fine.”“Ooh jeez,” says Henrietta, her smile dropping a bit. “Well, the prisoners seem to be in good shape, ya. I’ll be bringing them down to the holding cells then return to the gym if ya need me, ya.” She pats you on the cheek, leading the prisoners away with the guard detail.[1/2]
>>35773294[2/2]Kirby hops onto your shoulder. “Did they say anything?”“Nope, we tried to make them for the past few days we were on that Zep.” You start walking with your girls behind the prisoners. “Engelhardt is quiet, did nothing but make puppets out of her socks. Knives… well.” You roll your eyes. “I just can’t.”Kirby nods. “Interesting. We will have to consider a mind reading to penetrate their surface thoughts. In the meantime, I will be in my Office if you require me. I actually have something I would like to discuss with you.” He looks over to Rana and Anneliese, who look back at him distrustfully. “In private.”“Okay,” you say. You all stand around in what would look like an abandoned hangar to the outside world, but in reality is one of the SSO’s loading elevators. It starts descending downwards into the base, with huge bulkheads coming to replace the floor you stand on. After a few seconds of darkness, flood lights come on to light the shaft. And with a thud, you’re down in a large parking area. Now what to do?> Meet with Kirby.> Hang around in the gym. > Supervise the prisoners until they’re in their cells. You walk and talk with Henrietta, letting Anneliese and Rana go to the gym on their own. The cells are relatively barren, as the SSO (in a manner of speaking) rarely takes prisoners. “So, Henrietta. How has Elephant been?”Henrietta takes a clipboard from one of the guards, flipping through the pages. “Elephant… Saragarhi Misra, age sixteen, from India. Claims that Engelhardt recruited her with the promise of Germany’s aide in liberating India from British rule.” You both briefly stop at her cell to look at her.Inside, she’s banging on her cell bars with the bedframe, not even denting them. The bars are reinforced with anti-magic and are of a steel composition that is secret even to you. You have to admit though, the fact that she can even use a bedframe as a weapon without the use of her magic and not tire herself is impressive. Engelhardt was right in recruiting her, and you kind of wish you had gotten to her first. She bangs on the cell bar again, wailing. “I will get out of here!” screams Saragarhi. “And when I do, I am going to rip your arms off and beat you to death with them!” She rams the cell bar again with the bed frame.Henrietta shrugs. “She is just going to have a real bad night’s sleep, dontcha know.” You two continue on.[1/2]
>>35773651[2/2]Engelhardt and Knives are carted into their own separate cells. One of the Security Guards says, “They’re being watched by a network of cameras all around. No blindspots, and we have 24/7 Guard watch on them constantly, not to mention Anti-Magic countermeasures. They won’t be escaping any time soon.” You nod. That’s reassuring at least.Engelhardt is unbuckled out of her cuffs and from her muzzle. She gently waves to you as the bars are shut on her cell. Knives meanwhile tries to grab onto the bars, but only receives a very vicious shock in return. She laughs madly, lying on the floor, smoking a bit.> Talk to the Prisoners> Talk to Henrietta> Go back up to the Gym> Go find Kirby> Write in

> Go back up to the GymYou head up with Henrietta up to the gym. “So, Henrietta. Tell me about Anneliese, how’s she adjusting?”She shrugs. “Ooh, slowly I reckon. I mean, ooh jeez, the girl has some nerve and steel to her. But at the same time I can see she’s really wanting a friend or two. I’ve been trying to make her feel at home here.” She pouts a bit. “She doesn’t seem to like lutefisk or hot dish. Darn girl don’t know a good dish of hot dish if it jumped up and bit her.”You smile. “I like your hot dish, Henrietta.”“Nobody else seems ta,” she says with a cross of the arms and a heavy pout of the lips. You arrive at the gym, where Rana and Anneliese practice their boxing moves with each other, slowly. They look to see you. “Hey, Chris!” Rana runs over to you, smiling. “Glad to see you here! You came to train with us?”You nod, patting Rana on the head happily. “Sure. You said you needed help on your form. Me and Henrietta can show you a thing or two. We can head into the ring for a couple rounds-““Actually,” says Anneliese. She slides up to you all, serious as can be. “We were hoping to see magic in use.” You quirk your brow, with Henrietta looking at Anneliese with a surprised face. “If that is no trouble. We know the gym has a sparring ring specifically for that in mind, would you have no trouble with that?”You shrug. “I suppose…”> But we should warm up first.> Let’s me and Henrietta show off in a spar, let the veterans show how it’s done.> Rana, you and me first.> Anneliese, you and me first.> Write in

> But we should warm up first. You wag your finger. “But we’ll warm up first.” Rana and Anneliese frown unhappily at that. “Don’t look at me like that. You might pull something in the middle of a fight if you don’t limber up. So limber up, come on, show me some squats!” They turn around, holding out their arms, then start squatting up and down to the ground. No girl this age ever gets the legs they want if they don’t do their squats and don’t wear their garters darn it. You look over at Henrietta. “You too.”“Ooh jeez,” she mutters as she gets to her squats. “Ya know, Chrissy, ya really know how to pack things on, jeez.” You roll your eyes, slapping the back of her head gently.“Come on, lead by example.” You stand next to her, then lower down for a squat or two. “The boys aren’t going to love you if you don’t have the legs to show it off.”Henrietta giggles. “Ohoho, what makes you think I’m interested in boys?” You roll your eyes, here we go. “Just saying.”--Rana and Anneliese sit on the bench, sweating heavily as you and Henrietta stand over them “Right. Now do you want to get to the sparring?”Rana groans, lazily holding her hand up. “Later… can we just rest?”> “No resting, Rana, you’re up.”> “Nope, Anneliese, get your butt up here.”> “Fine, me and Henrietta will show you how it’s done.”> Write in

> “Fine, me and Henrietta will show you how it’s done.”“Watch and learn, me and Henrietta will show you a thing or two.”--The Sparring Ring is about half a football field in length and half a football field in width. It’s relatively straightforward, with high walls to protect the spectators. You step onto the hard floor, patting your thighs as Henrietta stretches out her arms across from you, making sure to limber up. Rana, Anneliese, and a few other Magical Girls watch from the stands. Posonby is in the judge’s chair.“First one to fall and remain down longer than ten seconds is defeated,” says Posonby.Right, no holds barred. You both hold out your Soul Rings.Henrietta’s ring shoots out an array of strings which wrap up her up like a caterpillar’s cocoon. Rays of red light shoot out from little gaps here and there. Then just as quickly, the cocoon breaks, revealing her form. A red frilly minidress with high white stockinsg, black elbow length gloves, a red beret, and jackboots. She flicks her wrist, letting a yo-yo hang from her fingers.>> MAGICAL GIRL STRINGER! <<Your ring shines out a great white star. It blasts backwards, engulfing you. Your clothes disintegrate, then become replaced by your usual uniform. Your blonde hair washes silvery grey. You spin up your shields, then briefly dribble them on the ground and back onto your arms.>> MAGICAL GIRL LIBERTY! <<Posonby yells, “Begin!”Stringer smirks. “Alright, gal. > Attack herYou huff, then throw your shield at her. She makes a run for it, then lies back and slides underneath the rim. Before it can shoot back, she flicks both wrists at you, sending yo-yos hurtling your direction. If you’ve ever not been hit by a yo-yo, this ought to be the first time. The first smacks your eye, blackening out your vision. Then other smacks you in the knee. Okay, that hurt, a lot. You kneel down, using your other shield to support you. This won’t count for the timer. The yo-yos quickly return to Stringer’s hand, and she again ducks when the shield comes back for her.You hold out your hand, and it returns to you immediately. You shake your head, then slam the floor with the rim of your shield. Get in the game. You blink furiously, trying to get your vision back, but not before Stringer runs up to you and whirls up another yo-yo like a Morningstar. She slaps you across the cheek before you can react, sending you backwards. Again, she does another flick, another yo-yo nailing you in the chest. You double over. “I-…” She pauses, yo-yos ready to strike. “I thought you said you’d go easy!”She winks, grinning. “I am.” She shoots out another yo-yo, this time wrapping it around your ankle. This is gonna suck. She throws you across the ring, slamming you into the glass walls meant to protect the spectators. Out of your eye, you see a very shocked Rana and Anneliese. “That’s gotta hurt,” says Rana. You slide down anti-climatically, then fall to the ground. > Go on the defensive (CRITICAL SUCCESS)You spin up your shields, your eyes starting to glow blue. You’re getting a surge of energy! Stringer narrows her eyes, then spins up her yo-yos again, charging at you.You jump up and then slam your shields into the ground. The floor shoots up in great jagged columns. No time to react for her. A rock slams into her, sending her flying backwards. While still in the air, she rights herself, orienting to face you. She fires off a pair of yo-yos, hitting around you, then speeds herself down to you for a furious drop kick.Nope. You slam down your shield on one of the yo-yos, shattering it and sending the wire whipping back at Stringer. It smacks her in the face, knocking her out of control. You crush the other one. She starts falling right at you with the help of gravity and Newtonian physics.Perfect. You raise your shields up and let her bounce right off and onto the floor. She lies back, dazed, but not defeated. She quickly gets back up and flicks another yo-yo at you. You block it handily, spinning up your shields. Another flick, and another bounce. She even tries going for legs, that’s cute! Finally, you finish it off with a shield throw. It smacks her in the forehead, sending her down to the ground. So far, it’s a total of 126 wins to 1 loss.“Righto,” says Stringer as you two walk to the exit. “Looks like Rana and Anneliese were plenty impressed enough. She furiously and angrily pouts at you as you do so. “Hey, remember all those times I beat you? I’m sure I just caught you by surprise or something. This is your real chance to face me one on one.”You both head to your ends of the Ring. At least you can expect something more from Mecha Magical Girl Tiger from here on out. > Take a defensive stance. You raise your shields up. Tiger fires her great big gun. The shell explodes, washing you in fire. All it does for though is give you something to work with. For whatever reason, all incarnations of Magical Girl Liberty have a certain affinity for fire. You are no different. Your shields spin up, fire trailing around the edges.Tiger fires again, a blue shell. Armor-piercing. You raise up your shields again. This time, the shell actually gashes your shield terribly. It barely burns over your head and explodes off the side of the ring. But too little too late you say. You spin up your shield and smack her gun down, then backhand her knee. She buckles down, kneeling. She pulls up her machine gun gauntlets, firing at you. You’re blasted backwards a few feet, but thankfully your trusty shields have saved the day! You spin around and toss it short range. It slams into her face, dazing her and sending her sprawling backwards. “Agh, schiesse!” she screams. You finish it off with a powerful punch to the chest, knocking her flat. She lies back, groaning, for more than ten seconds.“Magical Girl Liberty is the winner,” says Posonby. “Again.”You grab Tiger’s hand, pulling her up. What is she doing? Bomber drops her Thompsons, then jumps up and hits the ground with her hand. Out shoots a white magical aura which engulfs every weapon, every gun, and everything else. The full force of a 105mm shell, bullets of many calibers, autocannon rounds, and shotgun slugs blasts you back into the wall. You can’t even see anything without your eyes getting blasted by bullets. Finally however, it stops. And you smoke like a chimney on a Christmas morning. You peel off the wall and land flat on your face, defeated.“Magical Girl Liberty has been defeated, that is a surprise,” says Posonby. “Magical Girl Bomber is the winner.”Bomber cheers, jumping and down. But she quickly tires out, bending over and leaning on her knees panting. “Ohoh… whoo…” She steps over to you, holding out her hand. You take it, but instead of pulling yourself up, you pull Bomber down. She lands flat on top of you. “Ow.” She sits up a bit, her hands on the back of your thighs. “At least I beat you, right?”“You got lucky,” you say. “There’s a reason we don’t default to the Super at the get go.” You turn over, pushing her off. But with a smile, you say, “You did good though.” Stringer and Tiger help you both up. “Come on, I think we’re done for today.”--You step out of the steaming shower, towel wrapped around your body. Anneliese, Rana, and Henrietta still discuss things inside there. It’s mostly just Henrietta lecturing them on their combat style. They need to learn how to at least hold themselves in close combat. You walk over to your locker, turning the lock. “Liberty.” You jump a bit, in surprise. It’s not like he’ll ever learn it. “Is it something important?”Kirby tilts his head as he watches you clip your bra up. “Liberty. With the Shard in our possession again, and with the head of the Magisch Korps and one of her most trusted Lieutenants in our grasp, we are in a very good situation. I wish to congratulate you on this job well done.” You smile at him, it’s not usual for Messengers to complement their charges. “However, there is another thing we must discuss.”You nod, pulling up your panties. “Go on.”“You remember the experiment your father ran?” You pause, then turn to look at him. “The same one where he was-““I’m aware. I remember it very vividly.” You squint at him, buttoning up your blouse. “What’s the deal?” He tilts his head the other way. You sigh, frustratedly. “Why is that relevant?”“You seem to be particularly resistant to Anti-Magic. I have observed you a few times on your missions against the Korps. As nice a man he was, he just didn’t trust anybody but himself to work on things. Besides, he was a smart man, he didn’t need notes anyway.” You kind of wish you had inherited that, but oh well. The Old Man is at least up there with God now.“I see,” says Kirby. “Then I apologize for my asking. It seems I have wasted your time. However, knowing these secrets could potentially help us against the Magisch Korps, Engelhardt especially.” He hops off the bench, then climbs up your body and onto your shoulder, and looks you right in the eye. “Liberty, I will be very honest. You are special. You bear the name of one of most venerable guard. Our language, unfortunately, is sadly forgotten to us. But from what I see of human culture and other areas, I believe your name is quite fitting.”You shrug. “Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. > Long story. You sigh. “It’s a long story, I wouldn’t want to bore you.” She sits down next to you on the bench, fully ready to listen. “I’ll tell you another time. Not here.” Rana frowns a bit, standing up to go to her locker. “Anyway, again, you did good out there. I wouldn’t suggest you default to the Super every time though, you know it can really tire you out.”Rana nods. “Yeah, but I feel like it’s the only way to keep up with you.” She throws on her shirt, looking at you with a smile. “If I tried anything else, I probably would’ve been eating your shield.”Anneliese walks out, towel wrapped around her body. “At least you won, Rana, that is the important thing.” She opens up her locker and goes to dress herself. “And I say that considering I have never beaten Liberty in a fight.”“That’s right,” says Rana. “You’ve only been beaten once before today. Who was it that beat you?”> “Pfft, that’s none of your business.”> “It might have been Sumire.”> “Nobody important.”> Write in

> “It might have been Sumire.”You sigh. “It was probably Sumire.” The two gasp in shock. “This was before you joined up, Rana so no, you didn’t mess out on anything. She just managed to get lucky and whack me with her blade on a stick, then pin me to the ground and hold me until the ten seconds were up. That’s all that happened.”Rana grins, blushing a bit at how adorable it must sound to her. “Awwwww! I bet you really miss her right now.”You cross your arms, sticking your tongue in your cheek. “I don’t miss her, I only miss having her around because she’s a competent Magical Girl.” You quickly turn to Rana. “Not that you aren’t, I just wish she hadn’t up and left us for something as trivial as money.”Rana nods. “Yeah, that does suck.” She taps her chin, thinking a bit. “Tell you what, maybe we could try going for a contract with Siren Security! It should be fun, and we’ll get to work with-““Not on your life.” Rana deflates like a balloon. “Look, I’m fine here, we all are. No reason to change.” You stand up, dusting yourself off and checking the time. Just about five past six. “Anyway, we should head back to the apartment. Anneliese, you want to come along?”She shakes her head. “I have an arrangement with Henrietta. We are going to practice more.”“You and Henrietta have gotten quite close,” you say. You smirk. “I’m jealous!”She turns away, walking out of the lockerroom. “Hmph.” Clearly she must have thought you were serious. > Walk around the base a little bit, see what’s whatYou whistle a bit as you walk around, waiting for Rana to finish up some business. Even some Magical Girls get paperwork, in this case, it was for the requisitioning of all of those weapons she used in the sparring match. Poor girl, you didn’t have the heart to tell her she didn’t actually have to do all of it.But regardless, as you walk around the base, you greet girls here and there, and other support personnel here and there as well. It’s not a particularly large base. Operator #5 believes in holding multiple areas, so that in case one falls, nothing is lost. And speaking of Operator #5, you see two Magical Girls stand in front of a doorway reading OPERATOR #5, DIRECTOR OF MAGICAL AFFAIRS. You actually know these two. You haven’t had the pleasure of working with them so far, but you know them based on their interactions with each other. “Should we go in?” asks the redhead. “I say we go in!”“No, what if he’s got some weirdo security system or something,” says the black-haired one. “We’ll get zapped or shot or have our clothes torn off or something.”“You’re exaggerating, if we sneak up on him, we can see what he looks like!” says the redhead. They turn to you. “Oh, hey. It’s Chris.” The redhead smiles at you. “Hi there!”>> MARY WEATHERBY <<>> Magical Girl Cyclone <<The black-haired girl nods to the door. “Operator #5 left his door open. > Nah, let’s not.You shake your head. “I’d rather not, and you two probably shouldn’t either. If Operator #5 highly values his privacy like that, it’s best to respect it.”Scott turns to Weatherby. “Especially since we’re on his payroll.”“Oh come on!” Weatherby whines as she looks past the door. “I can see his desk and all those TVs!” She looks at you, with a furrowed brow and a determined look. “I’m going in!” You try to reach out to stop her, but you’re too late. The door shuts behind her.…She comes back out. “Huh. He’s not in there,” she says. She crosses her arms, pouting. “Darn, I was hoping I’d get to see his face.”Well, that was anti-climatic. > Not just yetYou and Rana walk down to the cell blocks. Saragarhi is still trying to force her cell open, this time with her bare hands. Although it’s not immediately visible, the anti-magic is slowly starting to drain her ability. Even then, she persists, wailing in frustration. Rana looks terrified at that while you simply pass it over. You walk up to Engelhardt’s cell, where to your surprise, she sits at her bed. Before her however is a little puppet show made out of napkins, spare pieces of wood, and other items she found in her cell. She looks over at you. “Ah, Liberty. Come to watch the show with me? Or perhaps I shall put on a show for you?” The puppets all stop what they’re doing, then immediately face you, attentive.Um. Yeah, nevermind. You quickly transfer over to Knives’ cell-Okay, no.Rana looks at you, having seen you turn around. “What? What’s going-“ You push her away. You’d really rather not let her see what the hell is going on in Knives’ cell. “Where are we going?”You step back in front of Engelhardt. “Oh, you’re back already, I see you’ve seen what happens to the good Major when she’s in confined spaces and has nothing better to do.” Engelhardt leans back, sitting on her bed while her puppets buzz and hum, happily dancing for her. “Me, I just take comfort in my puppets! Would you like for me to put on a show for you?”> “Sure.”> “No thanks.”> “If you think you’re going to bust out, you’re wrong.”> Write in

>>35780526> “Sure.”Why the hell not. Should be odd, creepy and cute all at the same time.
> “Sure.”--A folded up napkin with a spoon driven through it to resemble some sort of Knight in armor rides up to a stack of books resembling a tower. “Rapunzel!” Engelhardt does very good voice contortion, Mel Blanc would be amazed. “Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your long hair!”Rapunzel is a hair brush, with some stray locks of Engelhardt’s hair hanging off the bristles. It floats upwards, controlled by strings magically attached to Engelhardt’s fingers. “Oh, my shining Knight has come to rescue me at least! Climb my hair, so that we may meet face to face!”You and Rana sit there, watching. This is actually a very nice puppet play, at least out of the materials it’s made of. Engelhardt herself looks genuinely happy to be playing with puppets and acting out the story too. You have to wonder what is going on in her head. For all you know, she’s probably even more insane than Knives. The Knightly Spoon climbs up the single strand of hair and meets with Rabrushel. “Oh, my good Knight! You came to rescue me! We must depart before my mother arrives!”“Too late!” A black bow turned on the side to resemble a womanly figure arrives on the scene. “My dear Rapunzel, you let this boy into my tower, into your room, after clear and specific instructions to never contact the outside world! Why I ought to-“ The Wicked Witch of the Bow zaps the Knightly Spoon. “There! He is now blinded!”“My eyes!” The Knightly Spoon flails around, unable to see. He falls out of the tower, tumbling down without Engelhardt’s control. Rabrushel gasps.“Nooo!” Rabrushel looks down. “Oh God no, he’s dead!” She turns to the Wicked Witch of the Bow. “Mother, what have you done!?”[1/2]
>>35781048[2/2]“I am keep you safe honey! Please!” The Wicked Witch of the Bow floats up to Rabrushel. Rabrushel recoils backwards. “Do not test me, you know how unsafe the outside world is!”“If this is safety, then I will not spend my life in it!” She jumps off the tower.“Nooooo!” The Wicked Witch of the Bow cries out as Rabrushel slowly falls to her death, to be with her saintly prince. “What have I done!?”Engelhardt smiles as all three puppets rise up next to her. “And so, Rapunzel and the Knight died together, but found their peace together in heaven. The Wicked Witch died a lonely and wretched death, and would find herself in the eternal purgatory between realms. And they lived happily ever after.”Rana sniffles, wiping her eyes with a tissue. “That was so saaaad!”> “Very funny, when are you breaking out?”> “Right, I’ve seen enough.”> “Yeah, never do this again.”> Write in

> “Very funny, when are you breaking out?”You cross your arms. “Very funny, Engelhardt.” You stand up and glare at her as she withdraws all her puppets behind her back. “So when are you breaking out?”She blinks, surprised. “I haven’t the faintest idea what you’re talking about. I don’t need to break out now. The Magisch Korps works fine without its head. I’ve left it in very capable hands. Why, as we speak they are working diligently to find a new Astronomer.” She walks over to her bed and sits down upon it. “As for you, Lady Liberty. I’m sure you’ll have plenty of spare time on your hands to goof around and slack off.” She lies back, sighing.“Hey, we’re not done here. If you think we’re just going to sit back and let you sleep this off, you’re wrong. You’re our prisoner. You’re going to tell us where the Magisch Korps is heading so we can stop them for good.” You step up to the bars, looking down at her. “You’re going to help us.”“Lady Liberty, I choose to be in here, I don’t choose to help you.” She waves you off. “Speaking of being a prisoner, go get my square meal, will you?” She smirks happily at you.You growl, turning away. Rana follows you as Engelhardt simply stares up at the ceiling, her puppets dancing for her as you walk away.

Why, as we speak they are working diligently to find a new Astronomer. That's actually incredibly capable for a Nazi unit: one of the HUGE problems with the Nazi regime was that there were a lot of power struggles and backstabbing.
