You are Nomad, a parasitic entity that serves as the leader of Able Squad aka Unable Squad, a team composed of seven misfit girls with more than a few problems. Your current Prime Host is one Lieutenant Rodney Watkins, a veteran of the Cryptid Wars.
Your squad has been granted a brief vacation until 10 AM tomorrow while Command is conducting major internal and external investigations.

After visiting Veronika you decided to next see Shizi, who decided to show you an experiment of debatable legality. The summoned wind elemental noticed you immediately and flew into a rage. You responded by detaching from Rodney and entering it, which may not have been the best of ideas. You saw and were seen by odd shapes in another place before you exited the elemental, which Shizi's drone URI then unsummoned.

Currently Shizi is hugging you.
--

Room’s a mess.
The hacker mage's homunculus was torn to pieces as was a third of the room's machinery, vaguely unnatural-looking bloodstains being shocked by sparking wires. You look at Shizi, hugging you almost desperately. A few moments later she abruptly pulls away and looks around the now-messy chamber.
"At least the experiment was successful in a way...Let's talk elsewhere.”
>>
>>35689279
The room she leads you to is her bedroom. You shove a thought going "of course" out of your mind.
It's dark, dimly lit by the lights of five laptops. You can only make out a bed, three desks and the walls. Shizi moves backwards onto the bed, resting her back against the blanket-less mattress.

"So..." She starts.

First, you going to sit?
>No, I'll stand.
>Sit in one of the chairs
>Sit on the bed next to her
>Sit on the floor
>Lean back against the wall

And what to say...
>"What was the point of all that again?"
>"I saw things when I entered the elemental."
>"Why was it so angry at me?"
>”How was that drone able to use magic?”
>"Can you help me with some password problems?”
>[Insert option]

Sorry for being a few minutes behind, had some posting problems. Was hoping to fit it all into one post but no luck.

sit on the bed
pull her into sitting in your lap

congratulate her. successful experiment and proving she can do what others think impossible and all that shaz

let her talk to you about what she wants before bringing up the password stuff

also
>"Why was it so angry at me?"
is pointless to ask, it TOLD us why
>>
>Sit in one of the chairs

>"I saw things when I entered the elemental."
>"Why was it so angry at me?"

The chair you decide to sit in appears to be a swivel chair.
Involuntarily one of your hands pushes at it, causing it to spin around a couple times. Wondering why Rodney put forth what was probably a lot of effort in temporarily regaining control of his arm to do something rather pointless, you turn the chair to face Shizi.
"I saw things when I entered the elemental." Shizi raises her head a little, looking at you with some concern.
"Did they see you? Did you do anything?" You note that she doesn't ask what you saw.
"They saw me. I...gave them an evil grin."
"Why?"
"Don't know, felt weird as hell at the time. The elemental's mind screaming about 'flying kill water' among things didn't help."
"How many colors did you see?"
"Twenty at least."
Shizi sighs.
"You saw more than a few colors, that elemental was outside of its native plane when I summoned it by proxy, it was probably in one of those big spirit hub realms. You saw through the connection that the elemental still had to the realm and the spirits there saw you through the connection. Good thing you detached quickly, they could've traced you to our location in the Material Plane. Wouldn't have been good."
"Why was it so angry at me?"
"That thing wasn't wrong, you're an an anomaly, a irregularity, something that shouldn't be, so on. Beings stemming from nature aren't fond of something that they believe doesn't belong. You've might have also screwed a lot of them over in the past."
Might explain your grin.
"Don't worry Nomad...you're probably older than most of them." Shizi laughs lightly before going silent again.

Now...
>Stay where you are on the chair
>Move onto her bed
>Move onto her bed and pull her into your lap

What to say...
>"Well, congratulations on your successful experiment."
>"So how's URI able to use magic?"

Waiting for a tiebreaker. Can combine the two votes but there's the issue of where to sit.

>"So how's URI able to use magic?"
>"Well, congratulations on your successful experiment."

"Older?" You ask while stretching one of your legs.
"According to some reports I got my hands on, most of the researchers think you're a good few millenia old. I..." Shizi slowly sits up and looks you in the eye.
"Think you're older than that. Some of your recalled memories even led to archaeological findings, one a good five-thousand years old. That's one of the reasons Command keeps you around: they want your knowledge, they want all the secrets you've learned! I'd be interested too if your memory losses didn't fucking erase any and all progress I'd make!" Shizi shouts before sighing and resting her head back onto the bed.
"Also Nomad...don't get cocky. A lot of the older spirits are being erased or going into hiding, least that's what some angel I binded claimed under duress. That's why I said you're probably older than most."
"How many really powerful enemies do you know of, or suspect about, that my previous selves have created over the years? And which ones will likely hear about it from the elementals?"
"All strategic, noting down possible threats and shit, just the way I like you!" She grins and laughs before continuing. "Don't know specifics, but I think you've mentioned pissing off a deity or two plus some "pursuers". Ask your worshipper, that deranged fanatic probably knows more." She means Vivel.
"And it was probably more than just elementals that saw you. And, once again probably, they'll be telling everyone they can. Especially the one that URI sent back, it's probably still pissed."
Great, you might've set off alarms across the immaterial realms. Hmm, speaking of that drone...
"So how's URI able to use magic?"
>>
>>35692955
Having a machine chant spells simply doesn't work. Neither having them try to use energy, mana, prana, life force, whatever. But here's the thing: I've seen some soldiers with altered bodies, we're talking brains replaced, still able to use magic even with all the tech they got in them. Not too powerful, but still works."
Shizi abruptly gets up and grabs one of the laptops, redirecting it's light onto a wall before lying back down and raising her hands into the air.
Ah, shadow puppets.

"Metal into flesh still allows magic to work to an extent." Unfortunately you can't tell what the hell kind of shapes she's making, much less how she's doing it with mere human fingers.
"It's all far more complicated than what I'm giving you, but I wanted to know is if by inserting flesh into metal I could work some fancy tricks."
...The best guess you have of that shape is of a fish vomiting a TV.
"My experiment was this and pushing it even further by having a mostly-machine homunculus, an artificial humanoid, cooperate with my drone in a ritual. And it fucking worked!" She stops the shadow puppets and gives a brief stereotypical cackle.
Holding back a mild sigh, you decide to complement her.

"Well, congratulations on your successful experiment." You tell her with a little smile.
Shizi also smiles, though seemingly to herself.
"Successful it was, minus losing that homunculus, but still, I was able to do it! I was able to bridge the gap between machine, flesh, and spirit! Eventually AIs will be able to shoot fireballs through security cameras, raise zombies through radio signa- Okay, that's both impossible and dumb..." The hacker mage's brief rant ends and she remains quiet for a few moments, simply breathing while staring at the ceiling.

Hmm...
>Probably time to go.

8:29 PM. You get up from the chair.
“Probably time for me to go.” You say.
“Probably. Could use som-“
“URI.”
“Oh fuck you.” She rolls over on her bed, slight smile on her face.
“I unlocked the basement door a while ago. See ya.”
“Another time.” You say.

Back against a wall of a nearby alleyway, you look pull up Unable To Locate again on you PDA, showing the homes and locations of Able Squad.
Who next…

>Jezori the alchemist grenadier
>Suko the Valkyrie gunner
>Teza the psionic mechanic

She literally worships us? Neat, we got our own little cult goin on.
>>
>Vivel the loyal yet sleepy assassin

The walk to her home is unremarkable, you wish anyway. Three huge ones furiously beat each other in an outdoor boxing ring of some sort while a nearby store has well-painted cardboard cutouts of people.

A few minutes later and you arrive at Vivel’s home, which resembles a small mansion. You knock.
“Enter!” You hear the assassin girl’s excited voice say from within the building. You do just that.

The initial interior comes across as half-mansion, half-desginer’s apartment, an odd mix. Priority over both of those as well as overall consistency seems to be given to comfort, the couches in front of the foyer’s fireplace look both comfy and like they were taken from completely cultures. The few paintings on the walls here depict ruins of cities.
“My Lord…”
You jump slightly and look to the source of the voice.
Kneeling at your feet in that black bodysuit of her’s is Vivel, her eyes facing the floor.
“How may I serve?” She asks in a reverent, serious tone.
“Well, first let’s talk somewhere more comfortable.”
“Understood my Lord!” With inhuman speed she gently grabs your arm and drags you off. Despite a complete lack of pain your arm still feels like it’s being pulled off.

You got what you asked for. A room full of nothing but couches, beds, blankets, and pillows. Several lights on the ceiling provide just enough light.
“Why is everything personal so dark?” You ask yourself with a whisper. She has no problem hearing.
“Most of us wouldn’t be in Unable if we weren’t my Lord.”
You simply nod, sitting down on a rather expensive looking couch.
Vivel kneels again.
“How may I serve?”

You could probably ask her anything.
>”Who am I?”
>”Fill me in on our relationship in the past.”
>”Tell me about you.”
>”Tell me about the squad.”
>”Tell me about the Hegemony.”

“Who am I?”
Vivel waits a moment before giving an answer to the question you and more than few others would like to know.
“You are a god that arrived on Earth in a extradimensional meteorite from a dimension of living planets, it was you who led humanity up from their foolish early kingdoms, crushed the orbital occupation fleet of the alien occultists, and humbled the other gods of Earth. You then humbled yourself, transferring yourself amongst humanity and giving them the gifts of your knowledge in preparation for the Great Shifting of the Multiverse. Your soul is that of the apocalypse of the stars.”
“What.”
“According to the Order anyway, my Lord. That’s also only a mere summary.”
“The Order?” Your head may be screwed, but something in you just knows that you detest vague names.
“Sorry my Lord but in the past you’ve said that anything involving the Order should be recalled or rediscovered on your own. You’ve decided to keep it this way each time you’ve remembered.”
“There anything else like this?”
“No my Lord. To answer your question, you are a entity calling itself Nomad. You are thousands of years old and have used tens of thousands as your vessel. You were discovered by the Terran Hegemony during the Cryptid Wars, though not even Shizi has been able to find out specifics about your discovery. That is all I concretely know.”
You nod. At she had some info.
“Fill me in on our relationship in the past.”

“That of a god and his loyal servant. Sometimes sexual. After a long battle four years ago I pledged myself to you for many reasons, including my love and devotion to you as well as the fact that you repeatedly saved me from being perforated by projectiles multiple times in the same hour, increasing my opinion of you higher than what would normally be possible.”
“So that “Order” had nothing to do with it?”
“…No my Lord, they had a lot to do with it…forgive me if i lie to you on this, I am simply following your previous commands.”
“No, it’s fine.” You’ll remember eventually.
You decide to next ask Vivel about herself.
“Tell me about you.”
That was definitely a blush right there.
“I…you don’t ask about me much my Lord. I was born in…New York I think. My parents were rich, they traveled a lot. I later learned they sold weapons that our family’s company made to people of all kinds. I went to a lot of different schools. My third first grade teacher was a complete bitch, a pregnant one at that. I don’t think I ever had a crush. I never dated anyone or kept close friends, at times everyone felt hollow. Any friend I simply found boring within a few weeks. I was lazy as hell, had to redo at least three different grades and not due to transferring schools. My first high school’s chemistry class suffered a few deaths from fumes. I didn’t ever get a diploma, i dropped out. My father trained me with weapons, had me go hunting. Sometimes our prey walked on two legs, I didn’t care. A little before the Cryptid Wars started I founded the Order an-FUCK, didn’t mean to let that slip my Lord! Forgive me!"
“It’s fine, that’s enough of that for now…”

>”Tell me about the Hegemony.”
>”What were the Cryptid Wars?”
>”Your home’s in better shape than the others I’ve seen.”

“Tell me about the Hegemony.” Vivel nods.
“The Terran Hegemony was formed during the later parts of the Cryptid Wars by humans and AIs. I do not know too much of the specifics, but pretty much all remaining governments and corporations were merged into the Hegemony. Humanity invented, stole, and reverse-engineering quite a bit of technology during those times, leading to space travel and colonization. It’s ruled by a senate with several special positions, though given past events the military obviously has major influence in it.”
“You don’t have to be human to be a senator though?”
“You have to be human or a creation of humanity, like Goroth.”
“When’d AIs show up?”
“The Cryptid Wars were the first appearances of human-made true AIs my Lord.”
“What were the Cryptid Wars?”
“I’m…not as knowledgable as most. Rodney probably has plenty of stories to tell about it, but I’ll tell you what I know. During the late 2010s there started to be reports of monster attacks, which few initially took seriously. In a short while tens of millions of creatures attacked cities world-wide. Everything from yetis to youkai, all the attackers were beings of legend and myth. I don’t know exactly how it started or ended. The outer net as well as the other members of the squad probably know more, but you should know that parts of the war are still classified.”
Speaking of the squad…
>>
>>35699150

“Tell me about the squad.”
“From what I’ve heard Able Squad’s been a unit before the Cryptid Wars, back when it was just an RDBFO squad. None of us were in it before the Cryptid Wars. I’m not sure about the order of who joined the squad other than that Veronika’s the newest. Speaking of her, from what Shizi one day revealed to us Veronika was in the Hegemonic Infantry during one of the colonial conflicts a few years ago, that’s where she apparently lost her legs. And her rival Shizi, pardon me my Lord but that girl’s a damned nymphomaniac. Intelligent but with an insatiable sex drive. Shizi’s technical partner, Teza, is nice and cooperative, even acknowledges your power by calling you ’Boss’. She’s not the best in combat though. ”
“And the others?”
“Suko…is strange. Shows off much of her body and flies in the sky for all to see while raining down death, yet acts all dark and brooding while trying to speak cryptically. Suko has a lot of trust in you my Lord, hell you’re the only one who can maintain a conversation with her, i don’t know why. Next would be Hazuko, who’s apparent age I hope hasn’t, but probably has, fooled you. I saw her filing divorce papers out last week. In combat she’s better than I thought she’d be, knows how to keep her head down, gives us some boosts, and knows how to snap a neck. Last is Jezori. She refuses to acknowledge you my Lord, as in the real you. She always acts like you’re just your Host and freaks out at your real form.”
“I se-, wait Vivel? Vivel! VIVEL!”
“Funyaaaaaaa…”
Vivel's fallen asleep. Great.

And that's all for now, about to join Vivel in sleeping on the floor.
