Welcome to Banished Quest!
You take the role of a young mage labeled a criminal by his people and cast out into the wider world. In the last thread you explored a pirate island as an incorporeal shade before finally getting back into contact with your companions.

You absentmindedly swirl a finger through the seawater surrounding you, sitting comfortably in your small bubble of air. You can see vague, distorted figures above, combing the beach for you or your belongings. They don't seem to be having much luck. You casually contemplate killing them where they stand, but for now you've got more important things to worry about. Namely, calming your panicked companions.

Darzi sounds desperate, and perhaps a tad frightened. Who can blame her? She's just borne witness to the deaths of hundreds of men in a matter of hours. The attitudes of the rest of your companions are more difficult to gauge, considering they're not currently speaking and you can't see them. However, they're presumably in similar states of shock, concern, or fear. {I might have good news, it depends on your perspective really.}

{What is that supposed to mean? Is it good news or is it bad news, how is this at all ambiguous?} Darzi's thoughts come rapidly, almost stumbling over one another, and the 'tone' of her thoughts clearly communicates her irritability despite being hard to pin down. Communication through brooches in general is imprecise, at least when it comes to emotions and subtleties like sarcasm.

You launch calmly into your explanation while keeping your eyes on the two, or perhaps three men on the shore. {I've gotten a good look around the island which the pirates inhabit. I've discovered a vast storage room filled to the brim with kegs of gunpowder. Were I to set all of these kegs at once, there's little doubt in my mind that it would utterly destroy the cove where the pirates likely dock their ships.}

Darzi responds excitedly. {That's fantastic! How on Earth could that be interpreted as bad news? You just have to wait until they return from battle, swoop in, and send the whole place flying straight into Surya's screaming maw.}

You begin to shake your head, but catch yourself. {The island which the pirates inhabit is home to a fully functional, as far as I can tell that is, Rhynian fortress. There is also a small, ramshackle village that seems to exist solely to house excess crewmen, along with a number of women, children, and elderly. The fortress itself is impressive, and seems to be able to monitor the actions of the fleet at all times. Their communications network is rather extensive as well, many of them seem to have communication brooches like our own. Were I to set off the gunpowder, much of this technology would be destroyed.} You tack on, almost as an after thought. {Oh, and the Shah is dead. They hung his corpse from a post above the entrance to the cove. I've secured his signet ring as proof, but they've left him little else. He was naked and half-eaten when I found him.}

There is a long pause, before Darzi speaks. {We need to tell the Shahzada, his father is dead and he must assume his place. As for the fortress, while an incredible find, it lies in the hands of our enemy. It is more important to rob them of their base of operations than to risk defeat attempting to recover it.}

>Tell the Shahzada? Is she crazy? Keep it a secret for now.
>You don't have a problem with telling the Shahzada, so he might assume his proper role.

>You really don't think blowing the powder store is a good idea, the fortress is too valuable.

Can we ask Darzi is ask the Varistha about a grandermaster nature vatis with a trickster brand? Just in case he's even slightly in the know.

Incorporeal beings unfortunately must use the manipulate metamagic to play musical instruments, which is all at once a mild vys expenditure but also I don't believe our manipulate abilities will quite capture the the inner essence of Oud technique.
>>
>>35510365
As an aside, attempting to play the Oud with manipulate ought to have some interesting results. But at another much safer time.

We still up for luring them out of the tower and into the cove so take care of them too? I doubt the blast is gonna take out the tower. Also the ability to loot whatever isn't pure ash afterwards
>>
>>35510530
Well I mean I doubt he can detect the brooches but yeah if our companions talk to each other about it he'll know since they don't all have them.

>>35510549
Yeah, get an alarm going first so we get as many of them in range of the blast as possible.
>>
>>35510549
I've been trying to think of ways to lure the GM nature vatis in the command center to the cove when the ship've come back and I haven't been able to think of anything that doesn't cost major amounts of vys without putting us in at least a little bit of danger. In other words I ain't got squat.
>>
>>35510501
Can we ask our other companions opinions on this? I mean Darzi is the captain of the guard and extremely loyal, the navy getting blown to shit and her shah being dead might be clouding her judgment, I mean it seems sound, but we are a half insane vatis with a entity made by a cult worshipping a dead God stuck in our head. Our idea of sound is probably off.
>>

Honestly I think anything that will get a nature GM to investigate in person is out of our reach for now.

Unless. We talk to our SIEGE partner and tell him to ask the head of the academy for advice on dealing with nature GMs since he's one.
>>
>>35510587
We have our sword and we can leech people. I'm thinking we create a bunch of ice soldiers modeled after rhyian sailors, create some fog and then cause some havoc. Fog limiting nature boys sight should piss him off too. And spoopy ghost sailors should scare the pirates. Panic=progress

>>
>>35510698
Don't forget they probably are built with being forcibly exploded in mind so the enchantments will limit the explosions anyway. I still refuse to believe that until I get a DNA test
>>
I just realized...we don't need to get him into the storage room. We just need to get the Masters out of the tower and away from the ship. And so we'll need to set up a trap or distraction that can be delayed in activation that's serious enough to warrant their attention. And we've got exactly the right tools to do that.

Anyone wanna start chuck Lethal Monster Glands at some watering holes/soup/kitchens? Dinner is almost ready. Lots of hungry men coming to eat. Sounds like we can help out a bit by adding flavour to the local cuisine.
>>
We also need to call Ricky and see if he fucked up the guys who digged our shit.
If he did, we can ask him if he could use dem tentacle to weild swords and shit and serve as a pair or extra arms
>>
>>35510861
>not knowing they'll suck in the vys from the enchanced fire making it utterly useless
Also if they have a fire gm we are royally fucked, I bet that's gonna be the captain, he probably super charges the canon
>>
>>35510913
Except that skulking around while corporeal will net us the attention of the grandmaster nature vatis even with our handy dandy cloak.

Also, luring them away from the ship wasn't the intention, it was luring them to the cave so they could get BTFO. Though it's fine if we can't.
>>
>>35510913
Holy shit, we've even got hazardous waste materials that could royally fuck up the surrounding plants and people!
>>
>>35510913

>>35510958
The hazardous materials are a mystery box.

>>
>>35510929
And see if he managed to acquire a brooch from them as well, since the nature vatis GM said he lost contact with the scouts around here. Though he could just mean they disappeared from his sight into our cloak, he may have been communicating with 'em.
>>
Guys, lets just blow up the god damned powder room and be done with it.
>>

The Empire has plenty of GMs.

The only thing special about these pirates is the rhynian tech.
>>
>>35511068
No, I'm pretty sure that's an auto turret that isn't being used atm. It also has no bottom entrances as it was described.
>>
>>35511131

McGee
>>
>>35511146
Are you talking about the tower? It has a chained off door with something about death being inside.
>>
Let's wait right here until they return, then blow this shithole.
>>
>>35511176
Yeah, a chained up door. Keyword being chained.
>>
>>35511142
Rhyian tech is godly, if they have the right things the explosion will keep them safe. And I thibk you're forgetting how strong gms are.
>>
Do we really have 31 vys stored in the shockwave sword?
>>
>>35511146
Fortunately, the tower seems just as abandoned up close as it did from afar. The door is locked with a heavy iron chain, the padlock larger than your fist. A sign out front reads in both Rhynian and Samjaan “STAY OUT: DEATH LIES HERE”. You can't help but feel curious as to what might be inside...

From last thread
>>
>>35511215
The rhynian tech should be mostly destroyed by the explosion.

And GMs aren't god tier like you
re describing them. Pidjata has hundreds of GMs.
>>
>>35511234
I think so. And before you say we should sword nuke them. No, the sword isn't as strong as you think.
>>
>>35511240
Yeah, that means no bottom entrances anon. If they'd tried accessing it we would've noticed the lack of a chain & padlock when we returned for our stuff.

>>
>>35511307
Pretty sure it's more like a football player punting an average fit guy.
>>
>>35511307
No, not even close.

And there is no evidence of a force field. We can assume that the tower won't be destroyed but we can also assume that the fleet will be destroyed.

>>
Spirits > Robots
>>
So when we do blow up the powder kegs, how about trying to rend the steel of a greater number of the barrels before blowing 'em?

I know black powder will ignite within a barrel from just friction (you can drop it from six storied in a tough container and it'll explode), but gunpowder tends to be trickier. Thoughts?
>>
>>35511430
>spirits
>owing anyone favors
Besides we only fed the crazy bitch to spirit man because she was a crazy whore. If this one is sand we are keeping her, more rhyian knowledge man.
>>
>>35511448
That would cost way too much Vys
>>
>>35511462
Mate, spirits know so much more than rhynian AIs
>>
>>35511490
And they drive a hard bargain, are less likely to give us the good stuff, are les likely to even take the cores, and are more likely to kill us. Ai's litterally cannot oppose an authority figure.
>>
>>35511470
Not all of them obviously, just more than the amount they've left open. A nail sized crack is all it would take for the fire to transfer.
>>
>>35511524
we're gonna ignite them all simultaneously, no need to a chain reaction.
>>
>>35511490
>implying that they aren't one and the same
>>
>>35511523
Pretty sure we just got lucky with fulvia.
>>
>>35511543
We can't because they're in steel barrels anon.

>>35511524
But what we can do is just open the barrel taps with manipulate. That's the EASY way to get them all reliably ignitable.
>>
>>35511545
What if that fire spirit was the ai creator and he wanted us to kill off a broken one? Dude did teach us enchanting
>>
>>35511564
Did you not read the prompts? The option to ignite them all simultaneously was the option for 6 Vys.
>>
>>35511583
That was an option for the barrels that had been opened, anon.
>>
>>35511562
I doubt that, unless you mean sanity wise, they are probably all designed with not being able to oppose authority, it would be a standard failsafe across all models.
>>
You consider your options for a moment before nodding, more to yourself than anything else. {For what it's worth, Darzi, I agree. Our primary concern should be crippling or destroying their fleet and the quickest way to do so would be to set off the powder store. Consequences be damned.} You pause for a moment to gather your thoughts, trying to word what you say carefully. {As for the Shah's death, be sure that nobody is around when you inform the Shah. While I was eavesdropping in the control tower I heard that they were hunting for the Shahzada at the behest of some unidentified 'client'.}

Darzi seems shocked by the revelation. {You mean they were hired for this task? By who? Who would dare to assassinate the Shah and his heir?}

Logically speaking whoever was in the line of succession after those two would stand to gain. However, you've never heard anything about Shahzadi Shahnaz being particularly ambitious. Opinionated, certainly, but you doubt she had any longing for the throne. More of a warrior than a ruler.

You push your musings to the back of your mind and focus once more on the task at hand. {I wouldn't know, Darzi. I merely worry that the revelation someone is out for his life might panic our new Shah. It would be better to bring up the topic with the Varistha and see if he might have any advice. He is well over a thousand years old, after all. If anyone in Pidjata qualifies as wise, it ought to be him.}

Darzi responds in the affirmative after a moment. {Very well, Mik. I'll relay your findings to the Shah and the Varistha and see if we can't organize some sort of alternative transportation, now that the Shah's Navy rest on the seabed. Ideally we'll be able to launch an assault against them while they're disorganized.}

(1/2)
>>
That seems as sound a plan as any. {I'll leave it to you then, Darzi. Good luck.} She responds solemnly. {Don't get yourself killed, Mikhael. Stick to the plan, and don't take unnecessary risk. So long as the enemy fleet is destroyed, we'll have a chance against these bastards} With that, you feel your connection to Darzi's mind severed.

Profectus cuts in, speaking up for the first time so far. {Yeah, seriously man. If you die who's going to drag me out of whorehouses and nag me about meditating? My mother?} Profectus ends the connection, as do Mortia. Skull Kid wishes you luck before cutting off his own link.

Fulvia speaks up once it's just you, her, and Chrys. {Should the storage vessels function as I remember them functioning, they're designed to limit the force of an explosion and reduce its damage. If at all possible, I would recommend compromising their structural integrity before setting off the explosion. Poking holes in them, or spilling out their contents.} With that helpful advice, that strange, alien presence that indicates Fulvia's mind fades away. It doesn't truly vanish, merely lessen.

Which leaves only Chrys. She waits a long while before finally 'speaking', her thoughts carrying with them an uncomfortable, perhaps nervous tone. {Should you fall in battle, I will ensure that the lives of every man, woman, and child on that island are extinguished swiftly. You will not go unavenged.}

>You take a moment to consider the number of kegs before you, taking account of the room you're in. If you had to guess, there are around five hundred kegs stacked up and tightly packed inside this room. The room itself is massive, but if you were to set off all of the kegs at once you can only imagine you'd cause the cave system to collapse on itself. You may even cause the ceiling to collapse, or cause the destruction of the entire cove. Of course, this doesn't effect you at all, you're incorporeal. There is no way that whatever pirates remain won't be on high alert after you do this.

>Set off all the kegs at once. (6 vys)

Promising to kill women and children isn't exactly your idea of romantic, but you suppose it's the thought that counts. She doesn't stick around long enough for you to offer a reply, severing her connection as soon as she's finished speaking. You're left sitting passively on the seabed, listening to the faint, distorted murmurings of the men on the beach.

>Wait for them to leave, the best possible outcome would be for them to report back to their boss with an all-clear.

You sit patiently, waiting for them to leave. You follow them like a hawk whenever their murky figures come into view on the beach. After a time, you hear them crashing through the rainforest at the edge of the beach, and a few moments later they fade out of earshot. You wait for several minutes, just to be sure of the fact that they're gone, and then manipulate the water such that a narrow opening stretches from your bubble of air to the surface. It was starting to get hard to breathe, but the rush of fresh air is a relief.

The unobstructed line to the outside world allows you a much better idea of what's going on. The chirping, cawing, and crying of birds seems to fill the rainforest, and you can faintly here figures crashing through the underbrush. Presumably they're hunting for you, but they'll have no luck. You feel safe enough here that you ought to be able to get in a session of meditation, though you may end up missing the return of the flagship and her escort.

That raises another question in your mind. The flagship is almost assuredly the Rhynian vessel the pirates recovered. Just taking out that ship would rob them of their advantage over any other navy in the world. You're forced to consider whether you'd like to simply trigger the explosion as soon as the flagship returns, or if it would be better to wait for the entire fleet. The former means the pirates will still have some sort of naval capability; however, the latter introduces yet more opportunities for everything to go tits up.

a few people basically just said, we've this book fuck it lets do this.
I am not one for fire magic. But damn if you guys want more fire magic read the book about fire magic that again increases our understanding, and will likely give us a few good pointers on fire meditations.

Remember thats the first book we ever picked up I believe and we just never got around to reading it.

We should get on that as soon as this whole fiasco finishes up.

Get our books out of the way. gain a few vys. and meditate for a bit before we head into the deep desert. we're going to be needing the vys/magic for it any how.

BTW guys, how do you feel abou telling Kadir we're the ones who finished off his enemies and brought the Shah's signet. You unfold a flap of your cloak, reaching in to withdraw the handle of your shockwave sword. The cracked gem embedded in the hilt of the weapon glows as bright as any torch, light streaming violently out of the fissure int its center. The light striking the water of your little dome creates an interesting effect, the light scattering and seeming to fill the little bubble of air. You leech enough vys to fill your reserves, the glow dimming only slightly. Then you push it back into your cloak and withdraw a book.

The Excidium. The binding of the book is faded and cracked, the title only barely legible. You flip to the opening page, where the author's name and the dedication are written. “Florus Vincius. For my beloved.”. Considering the name of the book means 'Destruction' in Rhynian, you doubt this is going anywhere pleasant. Regardless, you dive back into Florus' tale, opening the book to the page you bookmarked.

You reread the last few paragraphs, to remind yourself of where you were. Florus Vincius has only recently found employment in the 'Exotic Provinces', and departs 'ad ille mundus'. Upon your first reading, you took this to mean 'at that Earth'; however, it occurs to you that it might also mean 'to that Earth', which makes far more sense. Regardless, he's going somewhere that isn't Earth, somehow. You read on in the hopes that his method of transport might be revealed.

The fourth chapter begins with Flors Vincius leaving his dilapidated villa, as you recall the only thing his family gave him upon his marriage to a common woman, with various bags of clothing, tools, and books packed away and carried by slaves behind him. His wife accompanies him, as does a trusted friend referred to only as 'Lutherius'. This is the first time the man has been mentioned but Florus seems to interact with the man as if an old friend.

For a journal, you find the structure of this book odd. It's written in third person, and in the past tense. It's almost like you're reading a narrative, rather than a first hand account of something happening to the author. Regardless, they board a 'trahitor'. If your knowledge of Rhynian is correct, that means something like 'one who pulls'. You're not sure what it might mean in this context. A colloquial word for cart, perhaps? Regardless, the trahitor carries them swiftly to the capital city, Rhynia, for which the Empire is named. There they are met at a checkpoint of some sort and escorted off of whatever vehicle it was that they'd boarded.

They're lead to an area below the Imperial Palace, a place frequented only by spirits and the servants of the Emperor according to the Author. Further and further down, they're led. Eventually they stop in front of a massive set of lead doors, the seal of the Emperor stamped onto each of them. Their escort, described as a 'barbarus', a savage or a foreigner, throws open the heavy doors with easy and stands aside to let them enter.

They're greeted by a full squad of 'The Chosen', at least you think that's the best translation. You've never seen this particular word before, though you still somehow understand its meaning. The soldiers, and they must indeed be some form of soldier, help Florus, his wife, and Lutherius into a series of golden coffins, wired together and attached to a 'strange device'. He describes it as akin to a generator, but carved with innumerable runes across the entirety of its surface.
(2/3)
>>
Once he's locked into the 'golden coffin', his slaves are butchered by the soldiers and their corpses carried off into the next room. Florus describes vividly the sensation of helplessness he experienced as his bags were casually rooted through, and divvied up amongst the soldiers. Unfortunately, your reading is interrupted by the sound of an explosion, like a gunshot magnified a hundred fold. It's followed by a chorus of distant cheers and a dozen or more gunshots, sounding almost precisely like your Officer's Pistol.

>Seems as if they've returned, you'd do well to investigate. Bury your things and imbibe the Incorporeality potion.
>Get dressed and armored in your Hiacian armor, try to slip closer to the festivities undetected.

>Try to swim around the island undetected, to get an idea of what's going on.

So he hires these pirates to take away his fathers 'garden' and make it his own.
He will tend to Pidjata with the same care and manic perseverance that he did with his old garden.
Shit what we should be worried about is Kadir aggressively expanding to get more wealth and power (water) for his 'garden'

You tuck your book, along with the rest of your belongings, into your cloak. The only thing you keep is the vial of white, semi-ethereal fluid. You take a moment to dig a hole, and then press the vial's nozzle to your lips and inhale. Your mouth if filled with that airy nothingness that is the potion and tith some difficulty, you force it down.

Immediately, your fingers turn to shadow. It slowly creeps across your hands, and then rapidly progresses up your arms. The vial has long since been dropped, and you use a manipulate spell to place it atop your cloak. You carefully fold your cloak around the vial and then cover it with a thick layer of sand. You use just a touch of earth magic to mark the spot with a pillar of stone, too small to protrude above the water's surface but it ought to be obvious should you simply dip your head beneath the water.

Once you're fully incorporeal, you let the bubble of air collapse and the seawater rush in. It flows through you, as if you simply don't exist. You take a moment to get used to the sensation of floating weightlessly again before shooting upwards, out of the water and high above the island. Once you've reached a sufficient height you stop, and twist your body to look down upon the whole of the island.

You see at least two dozen mast dotting the sea around the fortress like some sort of odd forest. Most of the ships are brigantines or frigates, though a number of sloops are dotted throughout the congregation. Their sails are raised and their anchors dropped, you can see lots of activity on the decks though you can't get a good idea of what it is, exactly. It's definitely not fighting, that much is clear. You also don't see any ships of Rhynian make, though you do see several in the bulky, tiered style of Elven ships and a few crafted in a style very similar to Rhynian, though with more reliance on sails than the primarily oar-driven Rhynian vessels. You assume those are human ships.

You fly lower, towards the collection of ships, to get a better idea of just what's going on. You come to a halt just inches above the water, weaving your way fluidly through and around hulls as you make your way through the congregation. Men and women singing, laughing, dancing, and screwing seem to be everywhere. It's a celebration if you've ever seen one, and judging by bawdy tunes such as “We Bent 'em O'er” and “Bite Yer Pillow” they're celebrating victory.

You make your way towards the cave entrance, which seems to be packed with all number of small vessels. A make-shift bridge has been formed from dinghies and wooden planks, stretching all the way into the cove, which is itself packed full of some of the larger ships. You spot the flagship, the Rhynian Quinquereme, moored to the pier. It's massive, at least a hundred feet long and bristling with all number of those strange, metal barrels. These in particular seem to be made of bronze, rather than iron or steel.

The entire thing is absolutely covered in carvings and paint. A skull adorns one side, painted in red paint. The name of the vessel seems to be 'The Immortal' judging by the flowery carved script on its side. A make-shift throne has been built on the forecastle, made mostly out of crates as far as you can tell, on which sits an elegantly dressed, older Samjan. You're unable to get an accurate estimate of his age, his hair is stark white but his face is as smooth as your own. You'd estimate him to be around four hundred, maybe young or maybe older. Of course, he may simply have died his hair. Always a possibility.

He's adorned with all manner of enchanted artifacts. His armor, the sword dangling at his hip, his belt, even his gloves. However, the artifact that immediately catches your eye is the small, jeweled band which graces his forehead. It's the same headband you saw the Shah wearing but a few days ago, though you don't see the necklace he paired it with. It's the symbol of royal power, an ancestral heirloom of the house El-Amin. You'd heard legends that, should anyone not of the house El-Amin wear the necklace and the circlet both, they'd be reduced to a gibbering mad man. Of course, you're not actually sure if that was true, and you're also not certain if he's wearing the necklace. He's wrapped his upper body in some sort of odd, tattered half-cloak.

Next to him is a mountain of a man. He must be nearly nine feet tall, and he wears a strange suit of armor. IT almost appears as if it's made of petrified wood, regardless it encases him completely. A sword longer than you are tall is strapped across the man's back and a second sword, more of a machete really, is attached at his hip. He stands passively by the 'Pirate King', seemingly unaware of the revelry around him. An imposing figure, to say the least.

The last figure of immediate interest is a woman sprawled across the King's lap. Rather than being dressed as a painted up hooker or a high class noblewoman, you could almost mistake her for a man at first glance. She seems to wield a whole array of weaponry, most of it strapped all across her body. She wears a heavy cloak, baggy pants, and a leather vest. She's absolutely covered in tattoos, and if you're not mistaken you can pick out a 'Slayer' brand on her cheek. A murderer, then. Not surprising judging by her appearance.

You hover far above the revelry, observing for now. They seem to feel safe, to feel secure in their victory. Somehow that makes the task you're here to accomplish seem all the more satisfying. Still, you're going to need to think about how you want to get into the store room. There are sailors everywhere, many of them drunk, but many of them not.

> Varistha is ancient without being insane, but is unable to tell anyone why

I . . . can totes see him being the client. He thinks the Shah is weak/corrupt (remember when we talked about him burning the Shahzada's garden, and he said it was more likely for some other reason?) and that his son is even worse. He also has regular communication with the Pirates.

Also, we're supposed to kill the Shazahda and so telling the mastermind that we know the Pirates have a client might make him step it up and kill him. Not to mention Nature GM shenanigans abound.

I just think spending any vys is going to alert them to our presence especially 6. That's a lot mang.

Im playing with the idea that either that fucking atrocity of armor has magic sight or some other form of it or the jewlery can sense vys when its used. Would make sense for a king to have.

You dart into the wall, the world turning into nothing but blackness. You can't see anything, because there's nothing to see. You're inside stone. You wander aimlessly for a time, getting yourself more and more lost the longer you try to find your way. Eventually you get fed up with it and simply stop. You take a moment to get a feel for the world around you, slipping slowly into a meditative trance. You find it immensely easy to do so while incorporeal, simply because there is no sensory information to filter out.

The moment you try to move towards the nearest source of vys, you slip out of your trance. Annoyed, you try channeling vys to numb your mind to the outside world. You find yourself slipping unwillingly into a trance, and it becomes difficult to focus on maintaining the spell. However, you manage it. You make your way slowly towards where you think the storage room ought to be, judging by the vys in the room and the way it seems to flow. The cove is easily identified due to the sheer number of powerful vatis in the room, they seem to glow like miniature suns now that you've opened your metaphorical third eye.
>Vys Pool: (24/30)

You emerge into the powder store to find it empty; however you notice something disconcerting. One of those miniature suns is moving your way. Specifically, it's a nine foot tall, hulking, glowing silhouette of a man. His progress is slow and lumbering, but you feel it would be wise to finish your task quickly.

And for two I'm fairly sure the vys was for once we get inside the rock.
>>
>>35515833
It depends how it's fluffed though. Fire illusions fooled that nature guy, so clearly just the expenditure itself doesn't alert people. If we navigate through the wall by leaving a trail of shiny vys breadcrumbs then someone might notice, but if it's something normal then it shouldn't be detectable.

This is the kind of creative cheating I can get behind. My dad helped me out the same way for the Scouts craft car competition. We shaved that fucking block of wood down to pretty much an arrow on wheels, then hollowed out the tip & put some lead into it, then sealed it off with a cap of wood. Damned if it didn't win. Technically, not cheating since it was within the weight allowances.

It's not gonna matter if they're transformed into a fine red mist by the overwhelming force of the blast wave of this explosion. All that matters is successfully creating the explosion, and earth magic is the most reliable means we have of dong so.

>>
Don't forget to pick up the signet ring before we leave.
>>
>>35516153
We aren't immune to magic though. If a piece of enchanted shrapnel hits us it could possibly hurt us. Not to mention generic magic fireballs hurt us, so who knows if we're actually immune to an explosion?
>>
>>35516203
We should grab everything these guys have that isn't ash if we can. Especially the crown thing
>>
You extend your ghostly, incorporeal arms towards the collection of kegs, channeling Earth magic. Your limbs flare bright, glowing with an internal, orange light as the spell begins to take effect. Before your very eyes rust and tarnish begins to eat away at the kegs as they deteriorate, but it's simply not progressing fast enough. You push more and more power into the spell, your entire body filled with that orange light. You must look like some sort of horrible, ghostly figure. The thought pleases you.

Only when you notice kegs beginning to collapse in on themselves do you cut off the spell. You feel drained, physically and mentally, but your task is complete. Gunpowder lays strewn across the floor from innumerable collapsed kegs and others sit still stacked up tall, but rotted away to the point of uselessness. You turn towards the only doorway into the powder storage room to find you've gathered a small audience, two awestruck pirates. They're forcefully shoved aside by that giant of a man as he forces his way into the room, that strange armor of his glowing brightly. You simply grin, though you doubt they can see it.

You snap your fingers, and the world burns.

Not arguing there, meant for us all to travel in, not sure if they even have ships big enough to take our carridges on. And yes we basically did this by ourselves, they're just helping us carry shit out (if anything survived the explosion that is.)
