"AYAKA"

The deep voice calling your name jolts you awake. The voice is angry. Angry at you. A small object strikes you hard right between your eyes. It hurts like hell. Your nose and mouth fill with chalk dust, throwing you into a coughing fit. Your eyes sting even as they fill with tears to wash away the remnants of the weapon you were just attacked with.

Moments later your vision is returning and you are able to reestablish your bearings. You're in class, fellow students all around focusing entirely on you, watching you recover. A few eyes of sympathy, far more clearly taking pleasure in your suffering. Traitors.

From the far end of the room sits the owner of the voice, perched atop his throne of tyranny, Mr. Wilks, your maths 'teacher'. He sighs as he addresses you again. "I swear girl, you'll never amount to anything." Another of his unjustified attacks, the words carry a slight sting but you deny him the pleasure of seeing your pain. "I thought you gooks were supposed to be good students." You try to return the insult but only manage to cough louder. Besides, you're only half Asian!

You are Ayaka Pierce, twelve years old and supposed 'problem student.' Four years from now you will be the Loli Talker, aka Nee-chan, a specialist dealing in bringing unreasonable lolis to reason. In that time you're on a very peculiar job, hired for unclear reasons by some eccentric fat cat with too much money to guide a ship across the Pacific from the United States to Japan aided only by a tiny crew of equally small girls. Arriving on a strange island that you're fairly certain shouldn't exist you accepted the chocolatey gift offered you by the mysterious girl inhabiting the island, you quickly fell into deep sleep.

But none of that matters now. That's not where you are right now. You are here, and you've suffered another blow from your arch nemesis. The last blow he will ever deal. You did not start this war, but you will end this war. Your enemy is confident, blissfully unaware of the trap that you're about to spring. It took a lot of effort. This will be the crowning achievement of your education. For your first strike, you've prepared

Something extra special for you. I thought you should be rewarded for the complete disregard of danger you showed last thread. Plus, I get to explicitly show the character background I've only been hinting at!

The majority seem to lean to the flour. Painless, but certainly humiliating. Just a moment.
>>
Huh, I thought Loli Talker was at least nineteen.
>>
>>35454999
The man is absolutely revolting to you. Ugly, fat, balding, and with that ridiculous moustache of his. All of these obvious flaws you have already attempted to exploit but the man is stubborn and persists in his attempts to destroy you. You will destroy him first.

Nobody seems to have noticed the trap you laid, the string beside you still untouched. The string you have tied to an open bag of flour placed directly above the target. As he reaches out for a fresh piece of chalk, you pull it back violently. You take a moment to watch as the bag quickly falls straight unto his head with a loud thump before the contents violently explode out, painting the white pig whiter than he has ever been. Cheers erupt from the back row, your steadfast supporters as always. But you have no time for applause.

When he finally realizes what is going on you are already making your escape out the door. The man cries out in rage, jumping into a pursuit. The fool has no idea of the mistake he is making. Slamming the door shut behind you to buy time, you make a quick turn to the left, towards the bathrooms where you will deliver the finishing strike. Contrary to his belief you do in fact know how to do your homework and have pinpointed his greatest weakness.

To lolis, everyone is a nee-san anon!
>>
>>35455415
A half-faded yellow cross on the floor. This is your mark. You pass the mark, moving just a few more paces to find the thin string dangling from the ceiling. You stop on the spot, turning with your hands raised to feign surrender. Your target stops as well, just on the mark as you calculated. You decide to

Sorry anon, it seems now will not be the time for mercy. Don't worry though, Wilks may never be quite the man he was again, but he'll live.

I should mention that I may be slower than usual, migraines have been harassing me since yesterday. It's not as bad now, but focusing is a little hard. I still wanted to run this, though!
>>
>>35455609

>>
>>35455427
This is the end. So much work, so much effort, it all comes down to this moment. Your moment. Your glory, your victory. It actually makes you a little nervous even though you know you've already won. Fear grows in the eyes of the man as you flash a wicked grin. You had to pull many favours to learn this, but you're certain of the info. The man has severe arachnophobia.

A slight nudge and your hell is unleashed upon him. Many nights were spent capturing, caring for, and preparing the swarm of spiders now raining from above. The man screams. Not in the deep, powerful voice you heard before. A high pitched scream. A helpless scream. The scream of a little girl. But not this girl. This girl won.

Most of the spiders sadly land on the floor merely crawling around at his feet, but a still satisfying number land on his floury body, making their way across his chest and face. He tries to sweep them off, but there are too many. He tries to run, but there is nowhere to run. He screams again and you hear doors all around swing open as their inhabitants pour out to admire your victory. Gasps and whispers fill the few moments that his screams do not. He finally collapses to the floor. The pig lies defeated and humiliated before you
>>
>>35455837
A few teachers rush to his side, unsure how to assist the man. A strong arm grabs you from behind, pulling you away. You know what comes next, but you do not fight back. You do not care. Today is a victory that you know would have made your mother proud if she could only see it. Time seems to stop as you are dragged away from the battlefield.

You feel it now. You are not alone in this memory. Someone else is here, watching, studying, and in control. They desire to see more, but they don't know where to go. You could guide them to where you want to go. What will you show them?

>The biggest mistake of your life

Two past midnight. Everybody is asleep. Quietly slipping out of your bed you grab the bag you had packed beforehand. You have plenty of practice, you know how to move about without waking anyone. Or so you thought. As you make your way to the door, you hear the whisper from the bed opposite yours.

"Nee-chan? You awake?"

It's downright monstrous, forcing a 15 year old to share her room with a kid, but you don't really mind most of the time. You love your sister, no doubt about it. But right now it's a nuisance. She pushes away the covers, sitting up in her bed.

"What's in the bag, Nee-chan? Are you going somewhere?"

Shit. You'll have to deal with her or she might alert parents and blow your escape.

>>
>>35456487
She wouldn't understand. She couldn't possibly understand. It's not nice, but you'll have to lie to her. She'll believe you. Nina always believes you. You shush her. "I'm going to sleep over at a friends place tonight, but they wouldn't let me. Don't worry, I'll be back before you wake up. Keep it secret, okay?"

She nods her head in excitement, so delighted that you shared a secret with her that she doesn't even question the glaring gaps in that lie. It stings your heart to lie to her like that, imagining her face in the morning when she realizes the truth. But you had to do it. You had to get out. You slowly open the door, making your way down the hall. No sound comes from the house as you sneak out the front door.

Your biggest mistake, the one you're still trying to set right. You abandoned her. You'd like to say you did it for her good, or because you had no other choice or just that you blamed her for your life. But it's not true. Sure, a stepmother trying her best to ruin your life in favor of her own child, a spineless father unable to do anything but silently agree with her madness, a school where everyone hates you, those didn't help.
>>
>>35456844
But you still had your sister, half-sister as it would be, always supporting you, always admiring you no matter what you did, always loving you even when you snapped at her. And you abandoned her. And for what? A boy. You shouldn't have believed his lies. But you did. He promised a better life, a real life, a happy life. You wanted it, so you believed him.

And because of that you're in all of this trouble now. Because of his trying to impress you with his "gypsy magic." What a scumbag. Andrea was the only good to come out of that mess. She's been a good friend, she'll help you fix it. You can trust her.

The presence is not done however, and your best attempts at waking yourself do nothing. You'll have to be patient. What will you show it next?

You're freezing. It's late at night and you've snuck on top of the roof of one of the apartment buildings near your home. Big, ugly concrete boxes. You come here a lot, it's your peaceful little spot. The cold wind of the winter nights is painful against your skin. You'll probably be sick. This part of the city is almost completely quiet at this time. The stars above you and the city lights below you fill you with a sense of peace. The tears on your cheek only make the cold worse. But you deserve it.

You tell them you didn't mean it, but you know you did. You wanted to break the man. You wanted to destroy him. But seeing him like that, hearing him ramble incoherently, knowing that you did that to him, and that passing moment of pride. You're an awful person. That's why you deserve to be alone. Forever. You wipe the tears from your face before they freeze completely.

"Aya? Why are we here?"

Oh great, you're not alone after all. Your sister followed you.

"Why are you cwying, Aya? Are you sad?"

Wow. Genuinely surprised by the number of votes for telling her off. I know I was pretty much asking for it, but you guys don't have to do everything I say!

>>
>>35457459
You quickly finish off wiping your face clean and pray that it's not too obvious. "I wasn't crying, Nina! I was just looking at the stars, that's all!" Your sister stops for a moment, hesitant. She's afraid of heights, you know that. So why did she come all the way up here just to bother you?

"Oh... Me too!" She yells cheerfully, rushing up to you and sits herself in your lap leaning back against you. Her warmth passes into your own freezing body, slowly filling you. This wasn't what you intended, but it's not bad. Maybe you've punished yourself enough. You put your arms around her, holding her tighter. Nina leans her head backwards, looking straight up into your eyes. She makes a grimace for a second, then puts her cheerful grin back on, leaning forward again to look up at the sky. She raises her arm to point at a cluster of stars.

"What's that wun called, Aya? Or that wun? Or that?"

You have no idea. You look at these all the time, but you only know a few names and not where any of those names fit. You lie again. It doesn't matter, they're just lights in the sky representing nothing. You can't hold them in your arms, they can't fill you with warmth, nothing like this. You don't need them anymore.

"I'm cold, Aya. Let's go home!" She leaps back out of your lap, rushing to the door leading back inside the building. "Come on!"

"Head on downstairs a moment, Nina, I want to stay a moment longer. Don't worry, I'll catch up with you!"

Looking down the edge you've been sitting on you fully appreciate for the first time how far down it is. The girl's too afraid to climb on top of a table, but this time she wasn't scared at all. Weird.

Getting up and turning around, you see a strange girl in front of the door. You didn't know who she was at the time. Her bright blue hair flowing in the air, the frilly white dress with the strange markings, the calmness on her face. Everything about her was so unnatural, so unreal. Magical. This was the first time you met her though you wouldn't see her again until years later.

Time stops again. Different this time, the world around you begins to fade away. You're finally waking up. Opening your eyes, you find yourself back on the island. May is still asleep in your lap, the mysterious girl and Camilla are both nowhere to be seen. Most importantly, you note that your head is once again hatless.

I kept one of the scenes from you, but I think by now I've dropped a solid amount of hints about what's going on. Not the entire "plot", but a good amount.

Not that I expect you guys to go through the trouble to put the pieces together when you can just wait for the quest to finish, this isn't a mystery quest after all. But they're there now if anyone feels like it.
>>

>Just carry her with you, go search the island for your hat? And Camilla of course.

>>35458311
Need some later details but the gist of it seems fairly simple now.
>>
>>35458213
It doesn't take a genius to figure out what happened here. You lowered your guard for a moment and Camilla took the opportunity to steal your hat again. With no idea how long you were out you have no time to waste if you want to reclaim your hat. May is still fast asleep, so you simply pick her up and carry her under your arm.

The island is tiny so it shouldn't take you long to search the small forest. Easter eggs are still hanging from the trees, tempting you to take another serving. But you're not THAT dumb. They might be useful in your business, though. There's the ethical concern with drugging little girls, but it's worth considering.

No. It's not right. They're god damn chocolate roofies. You're not doing that. You set back to searching the island when you hear a repeated thumping nearby. Following the source of the sound, you find Camilla hard at work trying to get one of those eggs down herself by kicking a tree, probably inspired by the mystery girl.

Frustrated with the lack of success, she takes a few steps back, switches into a sprint and delivers a jumping kick to the tree that sends her back to the ground landing firmly on her butt. "Ow... Stupid tree!" She remains seated, raising her knees to support her head as she whines to herself. She still hasn't noticed you.

When you think about it, an entire island of drugs inhabited by a crazy girl, who you thankfully haven't encountered again yet, that's pretty damn freaky. You should probably just get out of here. Right now. With one girl firmly locked in one arm you quickly walk up behind Camilla and grab her in the other and start making your way back to the boat.

She protests of course, but you're much stronger. "Hey! What are you doing! Let me down down!" She tries to both punch and kick but you barely even feel her best blows. You've had worse, after all. All you care about is getting your lolis back on your boat and getting out of here. Back on the beach you landed on you are however greeted by an unexpected sight. In the distance beyond your own ship is another. The kind of ship you'd expect to see in a movie. Camilla notices as well.

"Is that...?" You have only one response. "Fuck."

You quickly drop both girls in the boat and set about returning to your ship. Back aboard your ship you see the other ship has changed its course and is headed straight for you. Nadine runs up to you with a distraught look. "Captain, I found something in the stores! You need to see, right now!"

"Camilla, wake May up and get us moving out of here!" She protests, as always. "But Nadine is the one who-" You cut her off. "NOW." She doesn't argue again. Nadine quickly leads you down into the stores, still firmly convinced that what she has to show you is more important.

"This had better be something good. I need good news for once." Nadine's response is not particularly confident. "Uhm... it's... uhm... it's important! Just come!" She cautiously opens up the door to the stores, then points to a large box far in the back and whispers to you. "That box, I saw it move. What should we do Captain?"

>Open the box, slowly?
>>

That's definitely something else. Boxes aren't supposed to move on their own. Someone could be hiding in there, an assassin, maybe! Or maybe the box IS the assassin! Wouldn't be the strangest thing to happen today! You definitely need to get to the bottom of this before whatever this box is plotting comes to fruition. To counter its trickery you opt for a direct confrontation.

You prepare to deliver a hard kick to the box when you're suddenly reminded that the box is probably harder than you. Instead you give it a light to see if it responds, careful not to hurt yourself. A muffled scream comes from inside the box. "That hurt!" Nadine gasps in shock behind you as the turn of events leaves her even more upset. At least you confirmed she wasn't imagining it.

You slowly walk over to the box. It does not respond to you in any way. You bend down and grab the lid, quickly flipping it open. Inside you find...

"Nina?" She's not supposed to be here! She's supposed to be in school! She cowers in her box. "P-please don't be mad! I just wanted to come with you, Nee-chan!"

>Close the box back up, you can't deal with this now
>Send Nina back up, you'll stay and deal with the stowaway
>Just get her out of there and get everyone back on deck

Hug her first. We were thinking of her.

Option 2 should be Nadine, shouldn't it?

Welp.

Yes it should. Sorry, you can probably tell that by now I am also sleepy on top of my head hurting.

Will probably have to end early today. That sucks because I had been looking forward to this all week.

But not quite yet!

Awwww, well I hope you get better.

You sigh. You make sure to draw it out a little extra to show your disappointment. She flinches. "N-Nee-chan? A-are you mad at me?" You look back to Nadine, giving her a nod to indicate you want her back on the deck. She gives a quick salute and sprints off. You turn back and grab your sister by the arm, quickly pulling her out of the box. "Uwaaaa! Please don't hurt me!"

You pull her close to you and wrap both arms tight around her. "Missed you too." She relaxes, giggling at your display. As you put her back down on her feet you finish by giving her a stern look. "Doesn't mean you're off the hook yet, but we really need to get up on deck. Now." She gulps, the grin quickly evaporating from her face.

Arriving back on deck you discover that you still haven't even begun to move! Apparently May and Camilla have no idea how to make the ship move, but Nadine is now busy pushing all the buttons she can find. That's probably good, more buttons must mean more speed. The ship is closing on you very fast, though. You may have to prepare for the worst.

>Keep everyone on deck to help out, more help means more speed!
>Send everyone down to hide?

Let's send Nina since she isn't needed to control the ship.

You still have time. That ship is ancient, you have a proper engine and everything. If you can just get it working you should be able to outrun them! "Camilla, get to work on the engines! May, help her out!" Both girls depart without any fuss. "Nina, go see if Nadine needs help with anything!" She whimpers back. "B-but I don't know who that is!" You don't have time to argue so you simply look her straight in the eyes, delivering a nasty glare that leaves her with no doubt of how serious you're being, then points in the direction of the bridge. She gulps down and runs off.

This isn't a good situation, and definitely not part of your usual job description. But you knew this wasn't a normal job, so this time you brought something you normally wouldn't. Reaching up into your left sleeve you grab hold of the sheathe firmly strapped to your upper arm, dragging it down for easier reach. You may be bringing a knife to a gunfight, but it's better than nothing. You really don't want your sister seeing this, but you need to protect her if it comes to that.

It takes a while longer of Nina joining Nadine in pressing all of the buttons but finally the ship gets moving. The other ship is almost right next to you now, and you're still not at full speed. They're catching up.

An ear-piercing screech sounds from above you and you see a girl swinging from the rigging of the pirate ship, making a landing right before you and pointing an ancient looking pistol at you. By her side is a sheathed sword. You have no idea if either are even real or just museum pieces. She laughs.

"This is our ship now! Surrender or die!"

You can't help but notice that she's still alone, even as the ship continues passing you.

So yeah, this really isn't where I wanted to stop, but I feel like I'm just getting worse here so it's a short thread again. Very sorry, I promise to try harder next time!

I hope you enjoyed what little thread there was, and if you want to talk about anything or ask questions, I'll be around for at least a while. If not, thanks for playing with me! As always I had a great time!
>>
>>35461414
Thanks for running, yeah I guess she is not a "Loli" pirate.
Rival Nee-san?
>>
>>35461414
Fun thread, looking forward to dealing with pirates next time!
>>
>>35461551
It was good, don't worry. Looking forward to more loli talking, flashbacks and hopefully, eventually some Andrea-time.
>>
>>35461551
Archiving?
>>
>>35461561
You could say that! But we know who the real pro is, don't we?

>>35461779
I'll get right on it, thanks for reminding me!

Yeah!
Andrea!
>>
>>35461658
Unfortunately, Andrea isn't allowed to participate directly in this chapter! I feel like some of you will have figured by now why that is.

As for flashbacks, if you liked them I will include some more. Though not many, certain things I can't give away directly. I wasn't really sure if it was appropriate given the scope of the quest to have them at all but there's only one way to find out, right?
>>
>>35461989
>I feel like some of you will have figured by now why that is.
Is it because we're on a boat in the pacific ocean at an unknown location?
>>
>>35462022
Well that helps keep her away, yes. I was referring more to the reason why your contract forbids her tagging along in the first place.
>>
>>35462183
Not a clue!
>>
>>35462280
Then I'll make a note to explicitly point it out the moment it becomes important and spare you that particular spoiler. I will however leave you with the promise that you will see a lot more of her in Episode 3!
>>
>>35462585
>episode 3 of Loli Talker Quest confirmed
Day status: made.
>>
>>35463030
I could've sworn I already promised that. Maybe I didn't, I tend to forget things that happen and imagine those that didn't!

But yeah the story is basically I originally intended to just run the first episode not expecting it to go further than that. But since it turned out there actually is interest for what I'm doing I'll finish the story, and the story is 3 episodes. Episode 3 is definitely the finale though! This is not going to run for hundreds of threads, it's just not meant for that.

After that I want to get back to work on the quest I originally wanted to run before impulsively jumping on this. Hopefully I will have learned a lot from this one by then so I can do much better! If I'm lucky some of you guys will be interested in that as well!
