Welcome to Banished Quest!
You take the role of a young mage labeled a criminal by his people and cast out into the wider world. In the last thread you stabbed yourself repeatedly in the chest and then walked into town to chat with an old woman.

You lean back in your chair, doing your best to get comfortably in the cramped, unbearably humid Apothecary's hut. A fire blazes away in the furnace in the back left corner, green leaves and wet logs stacked on top to produce as much smoke and steam as possible. The room practically feels like a sauna. Ghada, despite the heat, is dressed in her heavy black robes, mourning garb, and a feathered headdress. She seems perfectly comfortable, and in good spirits at least. Personally, you're starting to feel a little nauseous due to the foul smell coming off of whatever it is she's grinding together.

“Well come out with it then, young one. What can I offer you? You know, just yesterday I put together a fine blend of tea; shredded black leaves, as dark as I could find them, with ground mint and diced orange peel. As well as some other spices, though I can't reveal those. A woman and her secrets, as I'm sure you know.” She throws you a wink, before carrying on with her monologue. “Said to relax the body and thus free constricted reserves, improving health and general wellness. Stamina, as well.”

You ignore her mischievous grin. “Actually, I came regarding our little piratical predicament-”

She interrupts you, quite rudely you might add. “Don't do that, alliteration really doesn't suit you.” Her grimace is enough to convince you she's not just teasing you, she looks almost physically pained.

(1/2)
>>
You clear your throat. “Yes, well. Apologies Ghada. As I was saying, I came regarding the pirates.” You think back on the little plan you'd been cooking up passively for the last hour or so. You recall the Incorporeality Potion she offered you upon your last visit, and the potential uses it has for sneaking onto a pirate ship and killing everyone on board like some sort of ghostly embodiment of Death. If you recall correctly, it last thirty minutes per dose taken and, should you be caught partially inside of an object when the effect wears off, the body part inside the object will be severed. You're also not sure if it allows you to interact with objects, or merely float around and observe.

You hold up your hands, a cautionary gesture. “Before anything else, I've got some questions that I need answered regarding the incorporeality potion.” She rolls her wrist, gesturing for you to get on with it. You oblige her. “ In no particular order, would I be able to interact with items while I was incorporeal? Is there any sort of warning before the effects wear off, or do I simply appear? Can others see me while I'm incorporeal? Can I be harmed by either mundane or magical means while incorporeal? How many doses of the potion do you have, exactly?”

Ghadi holds up her hands in mock surrender. “Easy, Mikhael. Just what are you planning on doing anyway?” She sounds more than just a little concerned, her milky-white eyes staring into your own. It's easy to forget that she's blind, especially considering that she made a comment on your appearance not moments ago. A Nature Vatis then, without a doubt.

You wave off her concern absentmindedly. “It's not really so much a plan as it is a curiosity. I simply wish to know whether or not what I have in mind is viable.” While her concern is flattering, you're not some child who needs looking after. You're nearly a Grandmaster Vatis, and you're likely among the wealthiest men in Pidjata, if not the world. You're a dimension hopping, dragon fathering, bandit killing aghtaki. Essentially, you can take care of yourself.

Ghadi relents with a sigh. “Very well, Mikhael. So far as I know, incorporeal beings are unable to interact with items, either magical or otherwise. However, there are certain enchanted objects which can ward off, disrupt, or otherwise inconvenience a creature which is incorporeal. Those sorts of artifacts are incredibly rare, so I wouldn't be too terribly worried about running into one. There is no warning before the effect wears off, one minute you're floating through a wall and the next your legs are missing below the knee. Horrible, and I say that having experienced it personally.”

Banished/Life Quest, making climbing the corporate ladder easier.
>>
She cocks her head to the side, tapping her finger absentmindedly against her chin. “People are able to see you, but it's... strange. It's like, they choose not to. If you go floating around in front of them waving your arms about and shouting, they'll notice you. However, if you just slip past them, even if you're directly in front of them, they likely won't notice you. They'll blink a moment too long, or turn their head to look at something else, or they simply won't notice you. Vatis and the mentally insane seem more likely to pick you out when you're incorporeal, oddly enough. As for coming to harm, you'd need not worry about mundane weaponry. Only magic. A stream of fire will burn you just as badly as it would were you physical, but a sword swipe or an arrow will simply pass through you.”

She drops her hand away, returning to her task of grinding up whatever that disgusting paste is. You think you saw it move, earlier. “I'm willing to part with two doses, each one will run you a hundred gold. No more, no less. My stockpile is just as much for personal use and research as it is for sale.” There is a note of finality to her voice, but that would only leave you incorporeal for about an hour. Certianly nowhere near enough time to fly out there, even unencumbered by trivial things like friction.

>You still want the potion, try to negotiate for more doses and a lower price per dose.

You rub your chin contemplatively for a moment. “You know, a hundred gold is an awfully steep price to pay for two measly doses of a potion I intend to use for the betterment of all.” You realize your slip of the tongue a moment later, but unfortunately the Apothecary seems to catch it too.

Ghada grins coyly. “Oh, so you intend to use it after all? What happened to merely attempting to sate your curiosity? Surely such a fine, noble young man like yourself wouldn't lie to little innocent old me, would you?” She's teasing you. In a good-natured sort of way, admittedly. It still grates on your nerves.

You wave off her accusations casually. “A white lie, I did not wish for you to worry unduly. I'm more than capable of handling myself and if I have a chance to destroy, or at the very least weaken, the pirates without needing to send in the navy and risk the lives of untold numbers of men then it's a chance I have to capitalize on.”

“How very noble of you.” Something in her voice tells you she doubts your motives. Okay, sure. The prospect of an entire cargo hold of loot all to yourself as well as possibly taking an ancient Rhynian ship as a trophy is fairly tempting. It's not like that was your only goal though, you also wanted to make sure your friends didn't get hurt on that little suicide mission of theirs. “Fine, how about this. Three doses, ninety gold each. Since you're so bravely charging into battle to spare us the trouble.”

(1/2 or 3)
>>
You pull yourself up and out of your chair, standing with your palms pressed flat against the table. “Look, you and I both know those rates are extortionist. Most people won't even approach that level of wealth at any point in their lives.” Your channel some vys, attempting to make yourself appear more authoritative. With a bit of illusion magic, you also surround yourself in a barely-visible corona of light, a divine halo if you will. It's not terribly taxing initially, but whenever you move the draw from your reserves seems to rapidly increase.

You continue speaking, now that you've made yourself appear just slightly divine. “Four doses, sixty gold each. That's the best I can offer you.”

She scoffs. “You call me extortionist, while you come into my home solely to rob me? For shame, Mikhael. A blind old woman, whom never harmed a fly? Have you not the barest shred of decency.” Her tone is admonishing, you almost feel like it's your mother scolding you for stealing food from the kitchen or being mean to one of the slaves. “I could accept no offer lower than ninety.” She pauses. “Though, I suppose four doses is reasonable.”

She's given ground, you push your advantage. “I simply cannot justify throwing away that much gold on an item I'll likely only use once, and maybe on a handful of rare occasions in the future. You'll take seventy, or you'll take nothing.”

She sets her mortar and pestle down, folding her arms in front of her chest. “You've overestimated my need for your money, my friend. I am more than well off. Frankly, this is more of a hobby than anything else.” She holds up a finger. “That being said, I'll offer you seventy five, each, for four doses. You're lucky you're cute, in a baby-faced sort of way. Otherwise I wouldn't ever have considered going this low”

(2/3)
>>
You reach a hand up to feel around your cheeks. You don't have a baby face... if anything, you're gaunt. Regardless, your apparent concern seems to amuse Ghada. She covers her mouth with a hand to obscure the almost sadistic grin her lips had curled into. “Will you be taking all four doses, or just a few?”

>Of course you'll be taking all four, shell out the 300 gold.

We're dealing with pirates that had enough firepower to sink the Shah's ship. If you don't think those guys are literally drowning in gold from other ships when a few dozen bandits acquired roughly a hundred million, you ought to reconsider.Think of this as an investment, not frivolity.

Exactly. Those few dozen bandits were considered competent and dangerous enough to justify them sacking a god-damn academy of Vatis, plunder one of the most valuable libraries in our region, and go toe-to-toe with one of the dangerous men that we personally know with that much money as before-hand pay. Imagine what these pirates and their supership capable of wrecking Grandmaster water Vatis in the middle of the bloody ocean can do and have attained in terms of loot. It'll be Jew Revelry V2.

There's this dragon, Rathalos, if you kill it you can cut his wing to make an ultra greatsword out of it.
Totemist is that, but the Rathalos spirit is still alive in the greatsword, and you can bind that spirit to anything.
>>
Hey Soma-kun, how is the Gyro?
>>
>>35441556
It starts a bit slow, but its very well written. About a guy who's master dies and leaves him a bunch of tools, books, journals, and a series of magically locked drawers to try and master his trade by himself, his master as I said having died and left nobody else to mentor him, and himself being the only one in his village trained in his arts.
Totemists are the humans connection to the spirit world/magical stuffs. They form contracts with spirits, slay beasts and bind their essences to empower their equipment, make other magical shit.

Go read it bruh

You reach into your cloak and feel a weighty cloth sack pressed into your palm. You withdraw it, finding that without the support of Ricky's tentacle it nearly drags you to the floor. You're forced to haul it up onto the table with both hands, the seams splitting and spilling golden coins across the table as it hits the wooden surface with a heavy thud and a chorus of clinking metal.

Ghada remains silent for a moment. “Four doses then, I'll get those right away.” With that, she pushes her seat away from the table and retreats into the side room, where you recall she keeps most of the more powerful potions stored. While she's busy, you retake your seat and make yourself comfortable. Well, as comfortable as you can. The humidity is still dreadful, and the smell of that foul mixture she's been grinding away at ever since you got here is even worse.

She returns a few minutes later holding an oddly shaped, ovoid vial with a strange cap on one end. It strikes you as vaguely familiar the moment you see it, but it isn't until she holds it out to you that you realize where you'd seen such a design previously. It's the exact same sort of container that the spice Sadik sold you is held in. The thought of that swirling blue powder stirs an unwelcome longing, an itch that demands to be scratched. However, it's easy enough to resist, and as you pluck the vial from the apothecary's hands the urge fades.

Actually was pointing it out to him while we were waiting, he loves it
meeting went great, sealed a nice contract, having celebratory drinks with boss because closed deal/got a bonus/showing hom more tg
Thanks Soma and Diarca
>>
Unlike the Spice, the incorporeality potion is a eye-searingly white fluid that seems to expand to fill the entire container, even though a container of the same size contained far more spice than five doses, just from looking at it you'd guess you have at least twice as much of this potion as you do Spice. You tuck the vial into your cloak, just as Ghada begins to speak.

“I'm going to assume you're not familiar with these types of vials-” You are, but you're not going to interrupt her. After all, you might learn something. “-they were rare even when I was a youth. You see, the vials become useless after they've been used up, the seals deteriorate to the point of uselessness, but they'll always deliver a perfectly measured dose of whatever substance they contain so long as they're in working order. Just take a huff from the nozzle and you'll be ready for whatever this deviant little plan of yours is.”

The coins that spilled from the pouch are scooped up by an unseen force, as is the bag on the table. It floats lazily across the room and through a doorway, presumably to be stored with the rest of her cash. Once the money's safely locked away behind that door she claps her hands together happily. “Great! Now then, anything else I can get you, Mik?”

You stand, stretching briefly to work some of the stiffness from your joints. “I don't believe so, Ghada. I'll let you get back to your-” You glance around the room, gesturing vaguely towards the furnace and the mortar. “-work.” You've honestly got very little idea just what the hell it is she's trying to do, but you assume it's some secretive alchemist stuff.

She covers her mouth with a hand to hide her smile, she does that quite a bit come to think of it. “Well, I appreciate it Mik. Best of luck in your endeavor, and do come to visit me once you've finished. I'd hate to find out second hand whatever fate befell you.”

With that cheery thought echoing through your head you make your way out of her cabin and start to pick your way across the rocks that litter the poor excuse for a beach that stretches from Ghada's home to the rest of the village. Once you're back on the dirt and cobblestone road that criss-crosses the town you make good time to the docks, finding them almost abandoned at this hour. It's just barely past noon, the vast majority of fishermen are already out to see. You do see the larger, swifter ship you took out sailing the other day, when you discovered the pirate base, but in order to sail that ship you'd need a crew of at least three, preferably more.

There's also a small fishing boat, its only means of propulsion two oars protruding from its side. With your magic, you might be able to use it to make decent time to the pirate hideout. As an added bonus, it's rather inconspicuous. You're more likely to be extorted than struck head first with everything they've got. However, one hit and you're dead. Plus, it's neither the swiftest nor most maneuverable ship currently at dock.

(1/2)
>>
The last ship is a extremely small, triangular rigged vessel that you'd almost think you need to stand up on just to sail. In fact, judging by the handles attached to the mask that may well be the intention. It seems like a frivolous and dangerous method to traverse the open ocean, but you suppose if you were desperate it might do.

FUCK YOU SOMA!
YOU TOOK SO LONG I FEEL ASLEEP AND MISSED THE THREAD!
Now I have to catch up and hope you didn't fuck anything up.
>>
Uh, guys, why are we going there alone? Do you want to literally take on the whole pirate fleet alone? Even if we take out the ships, they still have vatis and a fucking water GM, it's incredibly stupid to just do a solo suicide mission. Besides, what are we going to do with the Shah, bring back his corpse? We'll be accused of killing him ourselves, it'll be troublesome, and we won't get a chance to kill Kadir.
Darzi/Chrys might hold a grudge against us too.
This is just a really bad plan, going with the fleet and then sleeping away to ghost the ships into the sea would have been a hundred times better.
>>
>>35447542
Well, at least I only missed 9 or so posts worth of content, though I am a bit pissed that you guys didn't even try to flirt with the Christmas Cake cutie. I mean, she was basically verbally pulling up her skirt to her thighs seductively.
Also, this plan is horrible, there is no way going alone will work out, we should have waited for the fleet and go with them, I1m certain Kadir's ship wouldn't be at the front, and maybe we could get Darzi and Chrys to be on his ship, then just slip away into incorporeality and sink the enemy when/before the battle begins.
Not to even mention the implications/complications it will cause to show up sayin "Yo, I rekt the pirates, here's the Shah's corpse".
>>
>>35447791

I agree, this plan is fucking retarded. Especially considering that vatis will be able to see us and hurt us. And there ought to be many of them in their fleet.
We also don't know how our cloak will interact with us when we use the potion.

But do you think this is going to change anyone's opinion? Banished players are known for their idiocy and stubbornness.
>>
>>35448268
Simple, have Chrys and Darzi standing by to on a warship to attack. We covertly sabotage their offensive armament then have the Shah's men do all the bleeding on our behalf while we go after the gold.
>>
>>35448268
It sucks I fell asleep, would've at least tried to convince people of the amount of idiocy involved in this "plan".
To be fair, I think it's partially Soma's fault too, he gave the option to look for a boat right now, I don't think it was the initial plan to go right now, though I may remember wrong.
>>
>>35448585
Mik is literally at the docks and just stole a ship right now, we don't have the fleet with us. Me and the other anons are talking about how retarded it was to leave alone.

The positives of this plan are if we're successful we get an assload of loot and maybe some kind of ship while our companions will be safer during the main battle. What we'd need to do for this to work is spot them before we get spotted and swim up close/beneath them to not get shot out of the water then take the potion and assume we don't get caught while killing people with ice magic while either stealing loot and cannons through our cloak or using bartering applicable fire magic to light their powder stores, assuming the Rhynian cannons use powder like the pistol does and aren't completely magical.
Then we'd get our stolen ship back to shore by life size ice mimics of Mik to man it and then hide the ship from Fuckir becuase we know he'll claim it as his own because Shahzada, all before his fleet arrives. At that point we're then supposed to lead them to the place where the remaining pirates are, who are maybe on a bit of a high alert status because someone fucked them voidways royally.

Simple observation and common sense indicates the plan is plain dumb and requires too much coincidence in our favour to work the way we want it to while being the essence of High Risk-Unknown Reward. Generally pirates don't keep hoards of treasure on their pivotal battle ships when they know they're going to be involved in a large battle or series of skirmishes when they have the option to keep their booty landside and patently unsinkable.

Soma has also said that without allies bad rolls tend to have worse effects in general since nobody is backing us up. This is something I'd consider higher risk than going into the dragons den in the super high level dungeon that namek'd us. Anyone enough of a total git to wanna repeat all that but instead on an island in the middle of nowhere without our companions or any kind of help at all after a series of terrible rolls? No? Huh? That's strange, why not? It's exactly what you damn well voted for! Pttuui!

There's the issue that we've been flat out told enchanted items don't work with it:>>35437784 though whether that includes the cloak is a mystery, it means all the more effective armors we have and any helpful enchanted items within our cloak (the vys bank sword) are useless while the potion is in effect. I'm not sure if it also means they'd be unwearable, but it does mean they simply can't be used. It's also a mystery as to whether anything we take out of our cloak would wind up incorporeal as well.

Considering the Shahzada, we're leaving on the preparatory eve of the battle in the direction of the pirates. Geeze, our Magic Mik© disappearance act won't make us seem like some sort of spy at all to Bitchadir especially considering we're the ones that encountered the pirates in the first place. There's also what happens if his navy arrives before we have time to return and we're nowhere to be found. What happens then when we're obviously missing and we were the person that was supposed to guide him to the location in the first place? Logically Cuntir goes to our household to question them in our stead, and boy does that sound like something we all want to happen given that our diverse array of allies don't all know the personal history we have with the fucker or what he's able to do to them.

YER A GENIUS MIKAEL.

Though the pirate point is something based only on my knowledge of IRL pirates, the old mercenary/privateer types were clever enough to exchange their acquired property for credit at shipyards and towns with many of the influential trading empires or just hide it on their local raiding routes, even right to and beyond the point they started getting tracked down through their credit. So no guarantee pirates in this setting are at least that intelligent considering they haven't been called privateers but I feel it's safe to assume they don't keep the majority of their treasure at sea because that's stupid.

So instead of being a greedy irresponsible inconsiderate insane dumbass I propose we be a greedy insane semi considerate jerkface, and how!:

We lead Kadirs fleet to where we found the pirates, but with the caveat that we act as a forward scout to get better information on them, maybe play on how we'll prove we're not a coward by taking on the obviously most dangerous job.
This allows us to ambush them with the backup of Kadirs fleets present if things go sour, but more importantly we can get Darzi to stay close to the Shahzada to relay our scouting information through the brooches which will give our nightmare wracked elf some relief that she'll be mostly safer while being extremely useful.
And if we can get to the island they're residing on after or before disabling any vessels or the fight begins I suggest we scout the island itself to get any and all treasure into our cloak before the Shahzada decides to march around the place for compensation. Incorporeality potion optional if our cloak isn't stealthy enough.

Ideally we bounce this off of Chrys and Darzi to hear their thoughts on it ahead of time before approaching Kadir, but I feel it's a mite safer option open to more possibilities than lone wolfing an unknown enemy.
Also keep in mind that even if a ship full'o plunder sinks we're nearly a water grandmaster. We can bubble swim to the depths if we're really that eager.
And for the love of all that is Pani thank the Varistha for being so lenient with how we have not once asked for permission to leave the temple since our first two leaves. Apology optional.

Of course this is just my vodcohol/canker sore induced assbtfo opinion, so blah blah whatever bucket of saltlicks dumped on your toes motherfuckers enjoy your hypertension and cardiac arrest.

>The positives of this plan --- fucked them voidways royally.
That's the plan, except for stealing a ship. I personally assumed we were going to stealth in and blow/steal everything and then stealth out. Stealing a ship is kinda pointless when we can just steal the usefull/valueable shit from it. Not to mention the host of problems you no doubt bring up about it. If we do happen to run into any sort of trouble all we have to do is go straight through the floor and into the ocean and they're left with a rumor of ghosts and thinking if they've finally gone insane. Almost no way for them to prevent us from escaping.

>Simple observation --- Pttuui!
I think that maybe you are overestimating the risk here. The entire basis of the incorpreality potion is so that we should never have to come in contact with any of the crews. and if we do it will only be lower workers who will ignore us. We pop up from underneath a ship into its lower holds and peek through some walls till we have a grasp of the ship. then we steal any cannons below decks and steal all but a couple of the powder stores which we ignite.

protip: cannons are not manned when not in battle

Also remember that the main point of this isn't to solo the fleet, it's to weaken them while maybe acquiring some loot
>>
>>35450010
>there's the issue --- incorporeal as well
I'll give it to you that whether or not the cloak will work is a mystery. But I'd be willing to be it'll work simply by the nature of it. Also with Ricky not being incorporeal and being able to reach out and pull things through.

Also not sure if whatever armor we use at the time is automatically made incorporeal with us and if we get its benefits or if we just cant interact with corporeal items. Needs clarification.

Also if the cloak cannot be used then that just makes our ship destroying potential that much more.

>Considering --- do to them.
While a decent point I don't think that we will be gone for more than 6 hours considering the amount of doses and speed at which we can accomplish the task. Also remember we can still drain our sword and use any items inbetween doses. Also if it did come to happen our household is under the Varishas care so i don't think he would let anything happen to him even if he doesn't like non samjan.

>spoiler
ehh, it really feels like it's gonna be packed away at their base. I don't think pirates in a setting like this would trust just leaving their treasure in a hole somewhere. Also not narratively appropriate.
>>
>>35450404
Not that anon, but you do realize we were told that we can't interact with object while incorporeal, either mundane or enchanted? And that a floor won't stop a high level vatis.
We don't even know if we can use our enchanted stuff while incorporeal.
If magic can hurt us, then I'd be willing to bet Nature vatis can detect us, and just sling effects and elements to where we went through the floor.
I seme to recall it being suggested in the last thread that we
>go with the fleet
>before battle, go incorporeal or not, wasn't a huge idea then
>go in sea
>drill holes into their ships
>later go back and loot the stuff that's underwater
Sure they have cannons, but if we take care of that, then I think Kadir's fleet can take them, and even just bringing Fulvia with us would solve that, her being a metal vatis and all.
>>
>>35450414
No thoughts on the modified plan?
>>
>>35450450
Nature Vatis need plants to see through. No plants on a ship.

Also no way they could actually land more than one hit if we just go straight down and underwater. Floors and Water block not only spells bu it slows them down as well. no possible way for them to catch us.

>>35450454
Makes us reveal waaay more than i'm comfortable with to kadir. large chance of him pulling some bullshit like holding our companions hostage or asking us to do shit we really don't want to do. Also lets him very very easily plan to blame his fathers death on us. With the current plan no one actually has to know that we leave.

There's also a chance that the boats are made of metal. Which may cause problems all around.
>>
>>35450541
>water blocks magic
>of a water GM
yeah, okay
>>
>>35450450
>They launch a fireball at us.

>>
>>35450561
>they launch fireballs at us
>in their own ship
>not just poison/pain/hallucinate/etc.
>not just using manipulate to hold us still
Why?
>>35450565
I remember being told that at least their captain is a water GM.
Even if we weren't, it's a well known method of achieving water GM to go out to sea for a couple years, I'd expect at least a couple masters among them.
>>
>>35450557
Not only are you assuming that they have a GM. But you're also assuming that they will be at the forefront and not sitting back in the base. and you're assuming that we cannot hide ourself from them when we'll have like +20 modifiers from the added bonuses of our cloak and the potion.
>>
>>35450582
You really think that we'd let them land anything let alone something like that? th first sign of a vatis we simply back up through whatever wall we came through. and IF they happened to see us poking our head through they will probabbly blink and shake their head and wonder why they're hallucinating.

Also Manipulate has like a 5 pound limit. it's for precise shit not large shit.
>to go out to sea for a couple years
by "go to sea" it means they just jump in and live the fish life for awhile.
>>
>>35450641
No, go out to sea has been said to mean going to a fishing ship. I'm not saying living with the ship wouldn't work, but just living on a ship works too.
Manipulate's limits are defined by the amount of vys, concentration, and willpwoer the vatis has. Speed can improve other effects, and we don't know if there are ways to manipulate more than you say.
If magic affects us, they could also just weave magic into the floor if they can (metal, earth, or nature) or just hold us in a cage of some element.
Just listing possibilities here.
>>
>>35450695
Most of what i see here is "we don't know" and "shit we can reasonably handle"

I'm still concerned about the ability that the enemy Vatis may have to fight us, but I believe your point about the potion and whack-a-mole tactic is sound. If we roll well it's the way we should do it. Though if we're not stealing a ship we'll have to anchor our fishing boat ahead of time, I'll suggest that next thread. I also forgot to put in any ideas for illusions that would be useful at long distances to obscure our approach, which we ought to do.

>>35450414
The point you have about Ricky not being incorporeal actually assuages my fears about the cloak not working, it makes sense that it should given his nature.

I looked back at the naval encounter thread and it only took us roughy two hours to get back to shore after finding the naval battle site so yeah the timing thing I said was fairly unjustified, we ought to have enough time to go there, punk them, and duck out. Though I'm still concerned about Kadir going on the prowl for us and looking to our companions or monks who are aware of our name.

>>35450541
When I was thinking of the brooch relay idea I only thought of saying Darzi has a method to contact us while we scout, but then I've remembered all the shadowruns about how suspicious it was that a pirate ship ganked the shah and the relationship between Kadir and his father. I also do not trust him to be close to our companions, so that's out.

My primary concerns are still there, awful rolls with no backup will get us killed. Those are present always anyways though, and if our objective is limited to taking out their vanguard rhynian treat I'm not as much worried as before.
>>
>>35450799
Actually, I feel kinda dumb. Why use illusions when we're a water master that can use mist? I'm going to bed.
>>
>>35450799
Yeah. But awful rolls will always fuck us no matter what.

If we get awfull rolls later then Chrys and Darzi are left alone and in the shit.

At least this way it would take several consecutive awful rolls.

Also we should tell our companions to tell him (if he asks) that we told them we went out to meditate and said we'll be back in the morning.
>>
>BQ

>>
>>35450831

I say just come clean with them.
>>
>>35450866

I'm only this guy >>35448268 and that was my only post in the entire thread. Since BQ usually runs in middle of the night for me, I can do pretty much nothing to change the vote.

I used to stay up late and argue with retards but it is just not worth it.
I didn't say that BQ players are stubborn as fuck. I've seen on least three different occasions, one of which I was involved with, where two parties argued. Usually one party (often times just a guy or two) argued against something stupid and would have a long back and forth with the other party. In the end he would present good enough arguments to convince the other party that, yes, he was right. And you know what the other party would say after admitting they are wrong? That they would still not change their position JUST TO FUCKING SPITE HIM, usually citing their reason as "you were dick-ish" or something equally unimportant.

This is the kind of stubborn idiots participating this quest. These are the people who brought you such classics as "Put on the Mask", "The Vys-pumped Heart" and "Set the Bar on Fire"
I simply archive binge or lurk these threads and, when I can, vote for an action. I pretty much stopped reading the in-between posts.

To anyone who doesn't want this retarded plan to go through, just hope that there are more of you than the others. You'll only waste your time and energy trying to argue with others, and you'll come out angry.

If you REALLY want to waste time doing that. Do not call them stupid or their plan stupid or in any way try insult their intelligence. Seriously, these people have extremely thin skin and will become incredibly butthurt. I suspect that they know that they are fucking stupid and being called out on it shames them and they lash out.

I don't know man, it seems that a lot of this plan is based on assumptions, like here >>35450541
>Nature Vatis need plants to see through. No plants on a ship.

Why not? Why wouldn't their be plants on the ship? Why wouldn't a half-competent nature vatis keep few low-maintenance plants around the ship to keep tabs on everything and make sure that no one sneaks on the ship?

If we had our own ship and were somewhat competent at nature vys then I'm sure that we would have done that already. What stops others doing it?

We don't know anything about their fleet, ships, crew and capabilities. What if the entire flagship has some low-level enchantment? Then what?

I don't know. I just wont be arguing anymore. The only difference I can make is by voting when I can.
>>
>>35453941
Well then I guess we shall see at the polls.

I just trust us to get out of any sort of sticky situations we may get into. I feel the risk is worth the reward.
