You are Risa Schrodinger, and you are currently falling over. Last time you talk, and schmoozed, and did other girly stuff that are probably unimportant. You then decided to go to a petting zoo because baby alpacas are supposed to be soft, and you desire to bury your face in their wool, and make adorable sounds while you do so. All in all a solid plan. You were met by Jager at the front gate of your shrine and she punched the grace out of you with a gauntlet made with precision German engineering. There was a metaphor there but I lost it. Anyway, you got some weird parasite thing blasted out of you, then started falling over.

Unfortunately Jager did this in front of Sin-Fin and your plant who are now attempting to kill her. That should about sum it all up really. “Thank you monologue. Now they must stop.” You say, or try to, but it comes out as wheezes and grunts because with your go juice, man, just like what are you?

You agree you have no idea as a silvery arrow again gets deflected away from Jager, just in time to get a small slash down her front from Sin-Fin. You try and stand as Jager tries to explain herself, but Sin-Fin isn’t listening (Or she is listening to something else) “Agh! What was that?” What? You mean (these?) “Yes! Don’t do those again! It’s like laffy taffy without the joke on it in my brain. Awful, just awful.” You gurgle on the ground through muscle spasms.
(1/2)
>>
You strain, but your body doesn’t listen to you, likely due to having a whole chunk of energy plus Devil parasite ripped out of your soul parts. You amuse yourself with the thought that it was like being dewormed, but then realize this means you may have to get a shot, and you don’t like shots. You feel your body shake like someone has been mucking about the thermostat, and you just came in out of the rain. You seem to be floundering in reality, and your piercings which hold your rocks all feel cold in a sort of nice way. In fact, if it wasn’t for the whole Jager in immediate danger thing, you might even lay here, and just sort of bask in the chilly goodness. This is why we can’t get AC you know, you would sit on the vents.

Right, tangent, sorry. So Jager seems to be in a world of trouble, what should we do oh captain my captain? “Can’t you take care of it?” You ask. Uh, last time we did that I sort of broke all the everything. Are you certain that is a good idea?

Posting this before I lose consciousness:

After we get out mittens, I think our next big (50+) purchase should be this little gem:
>Time something something attack: Manipulate the fate/time around your physical blows so each one hits twice rather than once. (H/O)

What, you need reasons? We have ~7 actions per round, this baby doubles the pain from them as long as we spend the entire time getting down n dirty. There is no escaping the rape train.
>>
>>35434038

74 is a respectable number.

Peeling off Sin-Fin might be difficult if she's raging hard.

You guys think that Francis will listen if we manage to get enough stamina to call out to him in the sternest voice Risa has?
>>
>>35434064
It doesn't apply to the damage from cero mittens, only the physical aspect of her hits. It sounds like it's a lot of damage, but really it's not doing very much since almost all of Risa's damage comes from ceros.
>>
>>35434104
Vilhelm brained Lucifer when Risa's life was in danger, he cares. Standing up and calling out might have him run over to check and forget about turning Jager into pincushion.

I was under the impression that it didn't apply to shot lasers, but worked for mittens.

>74, certainly not awful.

You slam your fist into the ground and strain. Muscles, unused to being unaugmented by go juice, flex, and bulge in a way that is actually pretty aesthetically pleasing, but then you slump over. You look up at Jager scores another slash on her, then grit your teeth. “Monologue, I need some sort of motivational speech by a busty love interest.” You say. Er, hold on. I don’t think we have that in here. “No Fuego thrusting to tell me to believe in myself? Not even a little?” You wonder, thinking of how busty he is and how you totally know the meaning of that word.

Look, crazy cat lady, you asked for a heroic speech to save yourself, etc etc. You don’t really have any believe in yourself speeches up here; you probably have self confidence issues. It would explain why you let so many people touch your fluffy tails, and why you sometimes grab onto a stuffed animal and grumble when you are all alone that you are not lonely, not even a little, because you are so brave. “Look, just use what you got, I will try to let it get my blood boiling.”

Fine. There is a shuffling of papers, and you suddenly see a girl before you. She is in a lovely dress, with very ornate designs on it, and she is wearing some gloves which you think would hurt to get hit by. She looks like you, but more flowery, younger, and more magical. She bends slightly and looks at you. “You can do it Risa! I know you can! If you just trust in hope, everything will be okay!” she says.

“Should a lass your age really be wearing knickers like that?’ You ask looking up her stocking clad legs and into her skirt.

She looks down, blushes heavily, then screams and pushes her skirt down. She fades from existence and- come on, really? I set that up just for you. “She shouldn’t have a garter belt on at her age. Ain’t healthy.” You reply as Jager’s machine gets stabbed by Sin-Fin and torn off.

Well the only other things I have free are my shopping list and my movie collection, so now you get whatever was in the VCR, and you are going to be motivated and like it young lady! You see a man before you, fantastic feathered hair, tight leather pants, and the most wonderful features. You furrow your brow in recognition. “Is that d-“ You start. No, it’s Jareth the Goblin King.

“Just relax. Let the world tumble about, and sleep the sleep you deserve.” He says.

“It’s not fair. Jager was helping me.” You point out making him laugh.

“Since when does the world care about what you think is fair?” He says.

“N-No! I must save Jager.” You say pushing yourself up and letting out a growl.

Suddenly he is crouching down beside you. “Don’t get up Risa. If you lay there and rest, I can give you that which you truly desire. Forget about the Jager.”

“I can’t. I won’t.” You say.

He steps on your back, and you fall to the ground. “I have been merciful till now because it is what you wanted, but now you ask for cruelty. I can give you the world, and all you have to do is give up on the Jager.”

You hear Jager let you a cry as she is cut again, and you look up furious. “You have no power over me.” You say, then throw yourself free.

You rush forward, your muscles burning as if you were just a small weak human, and get in between Sin-Fin and Jager. “Stop.” You pant, then cough a little because seriously, you need to jog more. “I’m fine, see? I’m great.”

Your plant looks at you surprised, while Sin-Fin stares at you with a cold, calculating sort of look. She glances back to where you fell, and you glace too, to see a flicker of shadow with purple hair, fair skin, and legs that just don’t quit. Oh dear. You have no time to ask what I am oh dearing before Sin-Fin’s sword slams into your stomach all the way to the hilt. It hurts, and you feel cracks of pain breaking through your body. Your hands grab around Sin-Fin’s forearm, and you bite down. “Risa!” You shout before lifting Sin-Fin over your head and leaning back. “Suplex!” You shout slamming her into the ground behind you.

“It’s me you daft bastard! Argh, bloody hell. Was that the angel sword? Did you angel sword me in the stomach?” You demand. Hey, what’s casual penetration between friends?

The blade falls free, and you laugh at the pretty funny joke. Your stomach spurts blood onto the ground as you hold your sides in laughter, and to keep your insides inside. Sin-Fin stands, and picks up the blade, but your plant steps between you two. She looks at the plant, then glances to the side, then the other side, and nods. She presses a slender finger into your plant’s forehead, and after they teeter, Sin-Fin seems satisfied they are real. “Oh… you are ok…ay. That is… good.” Sin-Fin ellipses glancing left and right.

“Other than the throbbing abdominal wound? Fine.” You know you liked it. “Jager, you alright there love?” You ask.

Jager has several open wounds on her, and her clothes make her look like she should be on the cover of one of those nerd magazines, but she seems good otherwise. “Yeah. I’ve had worse.” She explains.

Well, seems everyone is alive. What now?

Monologue said it in this thread's OP, and the description of the parasites being blown away from us and us feeling our Go Juice pool increase was in the last thread.

>>
Color me surprised none of the Shinigami realized what just happened. Or if they did, that none of the "Risa is literally worse than Satan" camp tried to murder her yet now that she's this weak.
>>
I'm interested to know how she knew that we had pride and lust infections. Or more specifically, who told her.
Perhaps this whole thing was an attempt to kill the old one parts and it misfired, but that seems unlikely from her ability description.
>>
>>35435167
Because I'm fucking retarded and even I could figure out how to do the parasite removal more safely and without delaying it.

She needs to have less wanton disregard for her own life. She was more than willing to just sit there and die instead of 2nd releasing for the Fenrir fight, we had to trick her into it.

They couldn't kill her if they tried. All they could do is pulp the meaty parts of her body and piss her off while the rocks recharged to full shitkicking power and then eventually kicked their shit.

Also Sin-Fin, the Plant, and Jager would have stopped fighting eachother and turned on them.

“You couldn’t use your normal sword? Did it really have to be the angel one? Bloody angel sword.” You say clearing your throat. “Right then, the hell was that? Was that what you were mucking about with Ryoko with?”

Jager looks at you. “One of the things, yeah.” She explains.

“And you couldn’t have given me a little warning? Maybe say ‘Hey, Risa, I am about to punch you and make your grace explode everywhere and give you a few stars in speed and go-juice.’” You ask.

“Ah, well.” Jager puts some pressure on her wound. “You were infected with a, uh, a parasite you could call it. Asmodeus and Lucifer are just so powerful they very existence was leaving scars, or wait. Cancer? Cancer works better but not really. Magic cancer that can control you maybe. It was holding you back, and tainting you I think. If I told you what I was going to do then I was worried it would know, and try to fight back. I was worried it would hurt you, or fight back and kill me before I could get it out.” She explains.

“I had a parasite? Azzy put a parasite in me? Monologue, did you know about this?” You ask.

Uh, hold on, let me check. You hear some shuffling around as I sort through things and see what is missing. Entertainment system is still here. “You couldn’t just lie to me? Just say, ‘Hey Risa, come down to the basement to do ab related things, they are lonely. I am shy so only you should do it.’? You had to do it this way?” You ask.

“I doubt Asmodeus, at least, knowingly put it in you. She may be twisted, but she does have rules she doesn't break. I can respect that. Anyway, I don’t really like lying to you. Besides, it was no big deal, it all worked out didn’t it?” She asks.

“You stupid, abtastic, daft, silly person!” You say pointing at her. “I should have listened to them about you. They were right!” The fridge seems normal.

>>
Jager blinks, and stares at your hand. She swats it away and furrows her brows, her own anger starting to mount. “Hey! I just saved you! What are you so angry about? How about a ‘Thank you for your hard work Jager?’” She asks. Hm, the assorted sneaky pictures of them you need to unlock through lewds seem okay too.

“I am too mad to be thankful! You nearly got killed again! You have like, zero self-preservation instincts! You are the opposite of survival! You don’t think when people you like are in danger and it ends with you all cut up!” You shout, the plan holding up hands, looking very concerned.

“You would have done the same!” Jager argues.

“But I am a crazy person with regeneration! I don’t die, so I am allowed to take risks! You aren’t!” You say back, but even that rings a little hollow in your ears.

“It isn’t okay for you to get hurt! Maybe now you know how I feel when I see you get torn up over and over.” She says. The fern is healthy. Huh.

“You did this just to teach me a lesson?” You ask.

“No, of course not! I hoped it would work out perfectly, but it didn’t and I was prepared to accept that if it came down to it.” She says exasperated.

“And if I killed you? Or Sin-Fin or Plantdoka killed you?” You demand. Where did my Ottoman go?

“I am a big girl, I was prepared to take the risk.” She says.

“But you didn’t have to! You could have done this so much safer!” You explain.

“Maybe, but it was how I chose to do it.” She objects.

You are about to yell at her again, but the plant gets between you two and holds up her arms in a way that says “Please don’t fight!”

You cross your arms and look away, and Jager does the same.

“So how did you know?” You ask.

At this she shifts a little. “Well when you killed that moon guy you started really getting into it. That wasn’t that strange really, you enjoy your work, but Sin-Fin was transformed into that thing.” Jager says.

“Lucifin.” You provide helpfully.

“Yeah, sure that works. Anyway, my computers sort of picked up the same weird corrupting, painful energy off of Lucifin was inside you. You were sort of out of it, your power was really low and you were scraping the bottom, so I could detect it. I thought that was a little weird, and Ryoko sort of noticed it too with her berserker sense. We decided we would just keep an eye on you, but with how much you were hanging out with Asmodeus I was worried it was compounding the problem. I made a device to detect it in your energy, and then one to get rid of it.” She shrugs. “That was it I guess.”

“Oi, you managed to just sort of make a machine which can isolate distinct energy signatures? That is pretty impressive, how did you manage that? Take a few classes at the local Uni?” You wonder.

She furrows her brow. “How did I do it?” She asks.

Her eye lids flicker as her eyes search the surrounding area. She squints every once and a while as if she were navigating a maze that, while not difficult, does require some attention. You get the feeling whatever she is searching for is bad, really really bad. You shiver, an overwhelming sensation that if she opens the door she is going towards there is no way to close it, so you clear your throat before she can navigate the secret hedge of her mind and find what prize lay buried. Trust me, this is for the best. “Would she get stronger if she figured out how she did it?” You ask. Well, yes, but the end result would be terrifying. Sometimes we forget to protect ourselves and those we love, Risa sweetness.

“So then you punched me, and took stupid risks?” You ask.

“It worked.” Jager says, her irritation returning.

“You punched me while we were going to the petting zoo to pet baby alpacas? Good plan.” You say.

She looks more irritated. “Just to let you know, they won’t let you pet baby alpacas, since they don’t like being touched. Guess your plan had some holes too.”

You look wide eyed at her, then drop to your knees. You fall to your hands so you are on all fours, then slam your fist into the walkway, unable to withstand the fact you cannot touch their fluffy soft wool. “Why?” You ask to an uncaring god. “Why?!” You demand.

Plantdoka is looking worried between the two of you.

“Anyway, I am going to go get healed up, if that’s okay.” Jager says, still sounding irritated.

“Look, Jager, thank you. I mean it, seriously, thank you so much. I don’t agree with how you did it, but I do think you did me a solid here, and I won’t forget it. I am worried you will bite off more than you can chew someday. Still, honestly, I know you are just trying to keep me safe. Thank you.” You say, as your go juice heals enough to start a slow regeneration.

Jager seems taken aback, then looks at you strangely. For a moment you are worried she is going to cry, but she shakes it off and smiles. The smile it pure, no twisted corruption or lascivious thought. She is honestly, and truly, happy to hear you tell her thank you, and is not ashamed to show it. “Ah, hey. It wasn’t any big deal. Maybe my methods were a bit off, but. Ah, damn it, you know what I am trying to say!” She shouts.

“Well, I guess going out to the petting zoo is out of the question. You want to do something?” You say.

“Not really feeling up for it now. You know how it goes. Getting stabbed, cut up, and yelled at for doing what you think you should really kills the mood.” She says turning towards the shrine.

“Fine then, suit yourself. May as well heal up before getting on my way.” You say.

“But the… goats.” Sin-Fin objects looking just as sad as usual.

“You like goats?” You ask.

She glances around, suddenly seeming terrified at the attention, but then she nods slowly and assumes a dour position. “They are… nice. Goats are. I like them… and sometimes they… act like cats.”

“That’s rather sweet innit?” You wonder.

“And small… fuzzy animals. They let you feed the…m. I like it when they lick your… hand.” Sin-Fin says.

You have no voting prompt, so you shake your head. “Once my go juice gets back. In fact, sit with me, we will wait for it, then we will go to the zoo. We will even throw all the snakes into the water, because fuck snakes right in their fuck hole.”

Your plant looks irritated at you, and you cover your mouth in shame. Nothing to do for it other than sit around waiting. You hold Sin-Fin in your arms and wait, and sure enough your go juice starts to regenerate. You sigh, feeling the formerly corrupted areas being filled with pure [Delight] and let out a sigh of relief at your now partially recovered energy.

Go Juice: Moderate
Damage: None

You think about going out when several stars appear in the sky. This would not be strange, except that it is daylight when stars are generally asleep. They burn through the skies and slam into the ground around the shrine. You cough at the kicked up dust, and see what looks like a man with petals over his eyes and an organic straight jacket binding him stand in the impact crater. You tilt your head confused at his existence, then see there are three more all centered around you.

You leap out to murder him, wondering what copycat abilities you will get, but all four of them let out a scream that vibrates your plot rock and makes you freeze. Your teeth rattle, but you manage to snarl “Mendel.”

A voice echoes through the shrine as if speakers were set up literally everywhere. “Hello Risa. You don’t answer my calls very often so I thought this would get your attention better. Do you like them? I managed to breed them through a rather perverse experiment. I call them Risa blockers.” She explains.

“So we begin our dance again?” You wonder.

“You turned me down.” She replies, then you hear the shuffling of papers. “I wanted you as part of my group, not just as a supernatural weapon but as a scientific mind. We could have been amazing together Risa, truly. You have a perspective most scientists could only dream of, yet you squandered it. I wanted you working with my team as a consultant, perhaps as a researcher fulltime. You like humanity, and honestly I doubt you would want to purge the world of our so called blight. We could have fought angels, we could have fought demons. Risa, we could have been fantastic together.” She sighs.

“Is this your break-up letter for me then? You saying that you are bitter our plans didn’t work out, you creepy Nazi war criminal?” You wonder feeling your go juice make a solid shield which allows some movement.

“I am a bit too young for that. Besides, to be a Nazi war criminal I would need a conviction; you also have no room to cast stones with the company you keep. Apart from that I suppose you are right, it is very possible this is similar to a teenager acting out against a girl she fancied after getting turned down. Spite may be left inside this husk. “ She say.

“You fancy girls?” You wonder.

“I can feel good from men or women, it is foolish to hide behind standard ideas like sexuality unless I am interested in reproduction.” She explains. “I wanted you so badly, I even compromised the rules of my organization in order to try and keep you happy. Still, it wasn’t enough.” She answers. Sensible.

You pull yourself free from the waves of paralyzing power and leap out. Your fingers dig into the throat of one of the husks, and the sudden drain of power is more than you need to capitalize on it. You sonido in front of the other three, so fast it looks like you are three rather than one, and bite into their throats. The blood flies freely, and you then sonido into the middle of the square holding tender meaty flesh in between a mask covered mouth. You look up at the corpses of the monsters with a smile. “That it?” You wonder.

“I didn’t want it to come to this.” Mendel says as brief flashes flare up around the shine. “No one else can appreciate your scientific mind as I can Risa. I can appreciate it like no one else could. I am sorry it has to be this way, but I have been given total freedom to do as necessary to secure the asset.”

>99, damn chick, you got this.

You bite down on your sword and release as a blast of energy slams into the ground where you were standing. Above the shrine you stab your fingers into your hollow hole and then tear our your stomach. You stand before the tiny impudent mortals with a smile on your face. You sonido forward and land on the ground in front of one of the humanoid warriors Mendel sent your way, then clench your fist. You tighten it, and your arm shakes before you slam it into the stomach of the soldier before you. His midsection explodes, and you sonido away just as a blast of energy explodes where you were once standing.

You spin in the air, and slam a foot down into the shoulder of another soldier, and receive a sensual crack through your leg as his shoulder/collarbone is completely destroyed. You sonido to the other side of the courtyard as soon as the solider you broke coughs up blood from his bones stabbing into his heart. You smile when the solider slowly, to you anyway, pull out his gun. You begin a combo of kicks, performing artful orbits with your leg, and hear Mendel talk once more. “Oh Risa, we could have been so amazing together. Truly, I hoped this could work out.” She explains.

“You should have thought of that before you made the Short-Fin sad.” You explain slamming a palm into the soldier’s cheek to make him face downward.

Your hand slams into his forehead and you tear his head from his shoulders, dangling the spinal cord from his head in a way you can only describe as perverse. You blink as Mendel continues talking. “Risa. Truly, I am so sorry it has come to this. I though considering our history we could work together, but I have my orders. For Queen and Country, and all that, aye?” She asks.

“This is a trick.” You object. “You are doing everything you can to distract me.” You say sonidoing off into the shrine proper.

You throw open the door and see something very strange. Fleshy bodies with bulbous massive blisters consuming their whole upper body are landing on the Shinigami and arrancar. Once they land on them they split open, and cover the subject in some sort of paralytic puss. They then seem to envelop them, and then teleport away to who knows where? Azzy probably knows, she knows a lot. You sonido forward and cero kick away a monstrous being from catching New 42. You then focus on your speed and start fading in and out of reality as you tear chunks off of the various monsters. It is a pale imitation of Azzy’s attack, which is so fast it is like she has cloned herself, but it will do.

You see a cluster of the monsters, but before you can break into them 42 grabs your arm. “Sin-Fin. I saw them going for Sin-Fin’s room, and the medical wing. There was a cluster of them with something like commanders going each of those ways.” He explains, helpful as always.

Sin-Fin is in danger, you conclude. You sonido towards her room and, thanks to your 99, manage to dispatch the enemies before you easily. You make it in front of her room, and see the entire area is filled with Mendel flunkies. You land on your hands in front of her door and summon ceros on your legs. You spin, creating a perfect circle with your long, terribly wonderful legs.

You tear apart the monsters in front of Sin-Fin’s room, then push yourself in. You see Sin-Fin standing in front of a pile of Mendel monsters, her blade slick with blood. One of the monsters tries to grab her with an undulating tentacle hand, but she leaps over him and rolls over his back. She stabs her sword into him when she lands behind him and sends a cero into his body. Black spikes sprout out of his body, then he falls over, and Sin-Fin begins her sword dance once more.

You slam a foot into a cancer beast, then see one of the twisted capturing beasts appear as if from behind a veil behind Sin-Fin. You send out a cero and it staggers back, and does not manage to capture the one with the most Sinful-Fins. She looks up at you after your save, then glances to the side, then back to you and nods. She seems to accept you are the real one.

The two of you start a dance. Your kicks slam home perfectly into the monsters while her artful sword bisects beast after beast. It is not hard, just exhausting. You bite down on one, and then use the body as a springboard to kick two more in the face. You send out several ceros, but finally you clear the room feeling more drained than normal. You pant as Sin-Fin breathes heavily, for her, next to you. Her skin tight jester’s outfit seems even tighter as the cold sweat causes her body to cling to the outfit like a second skin. You make a cat like face and run a finger down her spine when she isn’t looking, but she doesn’t react. Boring.

“Ah, Risa. How I wish things had turned out different.” She says, but you are not falling for it.

“Nice try you colossal wanka! Didn’t even manage to make me sweat.” You smile and you hear the amusement in Mendel’s voice.

“Since when were you under the impression I cared what you did? Risa, dear Risa, you are very confident in your abilities, perhaps too confident in fact. You are indeed powerful, and whatever you choose to do you succeed in. I am not so powerful.” She sighs sadly. “I have to set up multilayered plans so that even when I lose I win. It is terribly difficult. I wish I could be like you, really I always wished that. I wish I could just choose to do something I knew would work out, that I knew I would get if I really tried. Instead I have to create terribly complex ideas, and go for plans A through Z. Do you know how hard that is? I suppose you wouldn’t.” She explains.

“Look, you keep going on about us being partners, but you keep talking down to me. Acting like I am inferior, and that I don’t know any better. Like with Amp, you didn’t respect us enough to tell us about the killswitch, or even about what his real plans were. You lied to me.” You explain.

For the first time you hear passion in Mendel’s voice. “No Risa, you daft idiot. I am the only one who respects you! I thought you able to work out my plan, I thought you were clever enough to know just where I was going with all of this. I trusted you! I trusted you to know what had to be done, but you just bungled it! They ruined you, they ruined what could have been wonderful intellect. We would have been great together, I know we would, but you just refused to think! You refused to be clever and now others must pay the price for my disappointment.”

“What are you on about?” You ask, and you hear a tired sigh.

“All through my life I have had to make sure that even if I lose I win.” She answers, then the line goes dead.

You get a bad feeling and rush down to the medical wing. You see Hiroshi in a pool of blood, his arm and leg missing. You smell the air and know Jager was here until just a moment ago. No. No no no! You lift Hiroshi’s body up and slam his mutilated flesh into the wall. Your mouth distends and you smile far to wide while snarling with absolute hate “Where is she?! Where is my Jager?!”

“Ah, Ri-chan.” He sighs, and you can smell the blood from countless of the medical division on him. “I tried to stop them, but there were so many. Ah, that Mendel girl is very upset with you.”

You throw him into a bed then leap on his prone form. Your chest splits open, and razor lined teeth lick against his tender body. “You have until I get hungry to justify your existence to me.” You lean in close and lick his face, the taste of blood filling a part of your mind that should be dead since you are a hollow. “Fair warning, I am always hungry.”

“Ri-chan.” He says with a sigh, totally calm despite the threat of nomming. “There were too many. Jager tried to stop them, but she was the target. Ah, don’t look so mad, don’t look so mad. I used my bankai to infect her with tiny cell versions of me. As expected they were removed, but I managed to get a general idea of where they took Jager before they were destroyed.” He says.

That is… valuable intel. He may live. “Where. Tell us where, where where?” You ask as small mouths form on your body, repeating everything you say on a half second delay. “Tell us where our wolf is! Tell us now!”

He indicates a location, somewhat broad but narrowed down and you look at the info. You bite down angrily and-

So it looks like a toss up between forming a party of some kind and just charging off as fast as you can to save the Jager?

>>
>>35440679
Jager is by far the most vulnerable to Mendel's machinations.
>>
Look, we don't even have a third release. We need to party up unless you lot feel like you have several 90s up your sleeves.
My prediction:
If we party up Jager gets fucked up in some way
If we rush off we get there in time for Jager but the fights will be much much harder
>>
>>35440812
What it comes down to is whether or not we think partying up will take more or less time than having the extra firepower would save in the fights to come.

Remember that a couple mendelbots took up a ton of time to kill. I think that if we face even moderate resistance, having a party will save time.
>>
>>35440812
Expect we are sefnificantly stronger them the rest of out team, bringing them will only get at least several of them killed or worse. More then that we would have to watch out for them during the fights. Only Sin-fin and Yorkovick, and maybe best scrub can offer much help.
>>

You rush over to Sin-Fin, the closest of scrubs, and tell her you need her wonderful self’s help. She nods and makes ellipses noises at you, but you are too busy moving as fast as you can to find your Plant. You explain the situation, and it nods to you. You sniff the air, and get a lock on Caede, then sonido over to the little muskrat. She tilts her head at you and makes an annoyed sound. “Eh? Why do I have to?” She demands.

You grab her by her throat and press her against the wall. Long tongues shaped like bull whips lash against her, and when they find purchase, dig deep into her skin. She screams, but you let go of her throat and hold her against the wall by her mouth rather than her throat. “Caede, I am in a very, very delicate mood right now. Normally I would be content to listen to your objections, and even reward you for them, but today.” Your body screams Grace, and your face shifts and mutates into something from the nightmares of your nightmares. “Listen and obey!” You command.

Your team is assembled. You rush off and search the area. The four of your split up to search the area indicated on your map, but it takes a while to find anything quite like a base.

You land in front of the nondescript building, and charge in at once without caring about what happens. An explosion tears through your flesh, but you hold your body together enough to make it through. You rush through the building with your companions until you arrive in an empty white room. You look around, and then smell something odd. The floor bursts open, and standing before you is a demon. You can smell the masochism radiating off of him, and you are well aware this will be a hard fight if you choose to do it.

The demon howls, and you see a control collar of some sort around his neck, then he sends out a gout of hellfire where you were standing. You leap away from him, and throw out a cero, and while your attack finds purchase in his arm, tearing the muscular thing almost in half, you smell his demonic go juice exploding out around you.

"You think I'm confident? Then you've never bothered to actually try to understand me. Yeah, I'm good at fighting, but that's ALL I'm good at. And even that is worthless since I don't know when to back down or dig in, or who to fight, or what to fight for, or... anything other than being in the moment.

And you think I always get what I want? Bullshit. There's only one thing in this fucked up universe that I'm sure of, and that's no matter how strong I get, I will ALWAYS be someone else's pawn. Almost every success is met with a reminder that there's like five other problems that have gotten worse, or my success wasn't actually a success at all.

You feel put out because you have to plan all the time? Mostly I just have people who seem to have a brain tell me what to do, even though the only ones who seem willing to do so clearly have their own agendas. I STILL listen to Akira, despite knowing damn well that he's plotting against me as part of some awful agenda I can't even fathom.

Did you know that I was trapped in some kind of heavenly holodeck recently? The angels said that it would reflect whatever I desired or imagined, and you know what they saw when they finally came to interrogate me? Nothing! Just a blank fucking room, as empty as my heart. I can't generate anything myself, all I can do is reflexively react to whatever is placed in front of me, and even that is haphazard at best.

So I find it hard to believe you ever wanted me to be smarter, that the clues you gave me could ever be put into a coherent puzzle, and you were doing anything other than flaunting my ignorance and rubbing in just how ignorant I am.

In short, how -dare- you say you envy me."

>72 Not bad at all

You ignore the demon, despite your hunger making rumbly rumbles, and then rush over to the door. A large hand slams into you like you are a fly swatter, and you get send spiraling back. You skip off the ground and then slam into the wall at a velocity regularly reserved for Yank car explosion enthusiasts. You look at the demon with a sort of cross Risa look and summon your ceros to fight. “Remember.” Sin-Fin commands and you see countless wounds open up on the demon’s body. Sin-Fin glances back at you and nods.

“I can take care of… this.” She explains.

“You sure?” You ask.

The demon stands up, and Sin-Fin’s eyes flash. “Remember.” She commands and the wounds, regenerating faster than your own wounds normally do, tear open again and the demon screams.

You decide that is good enough, and rush past him. You make your way through the base, the sounds of Sin-Fin’s remember echoing in your mind a she tears the Masochism demon apart over and over again, but press on.

You find yourself in another room, and at once your mind is overwhelmed by a shimmering in reality. You vomit, just a little, on the ground, and know that this illusion is a step or two above yours. You step forward, slowly staggering forward to try and make your way through the illusions. Your mental instability makes it difficult for the obscene illusions to remove you from the field. You get a kick in the stomach, and you skip back a few paces while the world shifts like liquid mercury around you. You push yourself up and see a woman in large, thick leather belts binding her.

She lets out a hiss of steam before several large pillars of heaven like magic slam into the ground. You perform some fairly acrobatic movements, somersaulting over the ground, and avoiding the !Fake angel weaponry. You can smell the damage they would do to you, and know you should keep on avoiding them. You sonido forward, and a pillar nearly crushes you, but you dream walk around it to deliver a spin kick to her chest. She staggers away and you feel the energy shimmer, and momentarily weaken. You put up your dukes to do battle, but a lance of acid and biting flies slams into the woman sending her staggering back.

You look over and see Caede broke free from the illusions. Her nose is bleeding from the move, and she is panting heavily. She raises a clawed, metallic finger and another wave of acid vomiting flies rush after her. “I don’t like women, usually.” Caede buzzes. “But for you I will make an exzzzzzeptoin.” She explain. “Go ahead Rizzzzzzzzza. Szzzzzhe is mine.”

You nod to her and rush past the two of them. You find yourself near something like a harbor, with a large zeppelin by the harbor. You look around, then finally see a capsule of some kind radiating Jager energy. You run over to it with your plant, but a large robot karate kicks the ground in front of you. You backflip away and look up at the robot who takes a Muay Thai stance. You don’t have time for this.

She has higher ups, meaning if we kill her the humans still have a organizational structure to see them through to the end times, for those of you who don't want to doom the humans. They would probably take a different approach to defence, not sure what that would be. Maybe an 'alliance' with the angels.
>>
>>35442586
That was my thinking as well, maybe even a Hate Engine just to go faster. But that probably wouldn't work for reasons. Just like everything else this thread.

Eh, I don't think they're nearly as competent as she is. Like if you remember, they're the ones who actually made Mendel give us a shitty ultimatum. If anything, they might be making things worse by not letting her associate with us the way she wants to.

I just hope she's not dumb enough to show up in person instead of just leaving a hologram or a robot designed to look like her.

Because as it stands, she's liable to die before she makes sense.

I'd rather kill her real quick and not let her finish her monologue with a button press then find out her secrets. Besides, if we win and we don't know something we can just bully Azure into telling us.

>83, we save the Jager bombs. Eventually

You glance back at your plant and nod to her. She smiles and pulls out her bow, fully away of what she must do to keep the world safe. You rush underneath the robot and it raises a fist to totally pulp your fleshy Risa parts. It swings down, and you worry for a moment that you misread the nod as something it was not, and will end up as just another statistic in Thatcher’s England.

A silvery arrow streaks out and explodes against the robot, then three more swing through the air. They detonate, to tear solid metal from the machine and seriously damage its abilities. You slip between its legs just as the robot changes priority target to Plantdoka. You smile as the Plant fires arrows into the air which rain down in a rather impossible way, and sends a cero to stagger the abomination. You have no time

80+ +.5

4.5/5

You send a kick to the human handlers of the capsule and easily tear their heads off. You push a button on the coffin like structure to free your Jager, and sigh in relief when you see her. You look over her prone dark from, and nod happily, but something seems wrong. You look over her carefully for a second, then realize what it is. Her mask is gone, as is her hollow hole. You worry you were too late to fix whatever it is Mendel did to her, but then you see a thin trail of brown smoke start forming by her throat, and conclude her Hollow Hole is reforming.

You seem to have saved the Jager.

You let out a huff of relief, then smile when her eyes open back up. Immediately you know something is wrong and back away before a muscular hand can cover your throat. You look up confused as time explosions echo in the background. Jager pushes herself up, and her naked form is covered by blue digitizing pattern like when she summons her robots. Instead of cold hollow machinery it is a crisp black officer’s uniform with symbols you don’t recognize, but you instinctively know as “the enemy”. You tilt your head as she stretches, then watch as she puts her perfectly neat German officer’s hat on her head.

Her entire body screams order, and you note that everything about her is perfectly controlled. She looks around the room, nods once, then looks at you. “A hungry ghost, is it?” She wonders. “A hungry ghost modified to accept an expansion for Old One, Pagan Lie, and the abominations that claim to be Angels, yes?” She asks and you are acutely aware of a German accent. Sort of cute.

“Could be so. Jager love, we are friends darling.” You say, and she tilts her head.

“English. We offered your country a chance to join us. We knew what was coming, but you just didn’t listen.” She sighs as she picks up the headless body of one of her escorts.

“Jager, they are dead you know. No point in mucking about with them.” You say.

Jager looks at you, but her eyes do not reflect your existence. They are mirrors of the horrors of the most terrible war in history. Her eyes reflect lies, and truths, and impossible things fought against by impossible choices. She shakes her head as her hollow hole becomes as wide as a pin. “Death is simply an opinion, my friend. One I have chosen to ignore.”

A strange injector filled with unknown liquid forms in her hand, and she slams it into the body. The headless corpse twitches, and you feel its soul ripped from the loving grasp of God and forced back into its meat. The head shimmers, and a seemingly infinite number of small chains connect the disconnected head to its body. The chains lash out to the second body and a similar process occurs. You take a few steps back as the souls are modified into something beyond obscene, and far beyond reason. They open their eyes and stare at you, black sclera on white iris, then summon weapons which scream of angelic and demonic energy.

They take a few casual steps as Jager carefully adjusts her jacket which, honestly, she looks amazing in. “Soli Humanitas Gloria.” She says calmly as the two figures explode with an insane amount of go juice.

Jager seems to have temporarily lost her mind. This is unfortunate. Also, I god damn told you.

“Jager, this isn’t you. Remember you are already dead; you moved on from all this. We are mates, you and I.” You explain, and you think you see more smoke coming out of her hollow hole, advancing her return to the Jager you love and love.

Jager momentarily squints, perhaps the word is flinches. The two corpses rush you and you throw up a shield because, they are just human, right? Your shield gets torn apart and you are sent back on the defensive. Twisted weapons carve deep trenches in your flesh and you watch as they attack they mutate. Black wings bloom out of their souls, and twisted horns radiating with something similar to grace hum at you from their forehead.

You slam a zero enhanced leg into one of the attacker’s jaw, and he takes a step back, and you get a better feeling for his soul. The natural potential for good and evil has been amplified beyond logic. The “good” portion of his soul has been turned into something similar to angelic while the natural “evil” born into humanity has been twisted and amplified into something like a demon. Both of them are bound together in something like an old one, but different. You would need some hard numbers to totally understand it, but it is honestly speaking impressive beyond reason. You look up at her and see she is disassembling the stasis pod she was in, and muttering to herself in ohms, and circuits, and spiritual sources. You leap over one of the bodies and then throw out a revelation, a wave of absolute destructive power slowing time around you with its intensity. The enemy you were fighting staggers away, hopefully turned into nothing.

You sonido over the distance and nearly grab Jager, but a shield of some sort forms around her. You cling to it and narrow your gaze. “Did you turn a future tech stasis pod into an advanced force field of some sort?” You wonder.

Jager adjusts the black leather gloves over her hands and brushes some dust off her skirt. “I suppose I did.”
(1/3)
>>
“That technology should be years ahead of everything you know. After the fall of your empire we stole the light from the stars themselves, we ripped reality apart just to answer small questions, and the world moved on.” You object narrowing your gaze. “But you were still able to use it. Good on you.”

“Yes. It has been a little over fifty years, hasn’t it?” She asks. You are about to respond how she knows but she shakes her head. “I have a clock in my mind. Every second is counted out, and I keep impeccable records. It is a useful skill to develop, though mentally exhausting.” She says. “I heard the Americans were developing a fission bomb, quite impressive they managed it.”

“That’s right. The war is over, you lost. Whatever dream you had ended, you lost it all. You lost your life, your lover, your children, all of it.” You say.

Her face changes. Pain, true absolute emotional agony rips through the façade of order she constructed and you immediately regret you said those words. You smell the abominations behind you reforming, but can’t tear your eyes away from Jager. She takes off her glove and you see a simple golden band around her finger. She turns it over while you press against the force field. “I suspected, no, I knew that they would be dead. If our dream ended then everything I did to help them, everything I contributed to the dream was for nothing.” She sighs and you see small tears well up in her eyes. “We were mad dreamers, all of us. We wanted to stop the inevitable. We said no matter the cost but-“ She looks at you still playing with her ring. “Did they suffer?”

“I can’t say for certain” You say without thinking before an angelic/demonic greatsword slams into your side and sends you skipping across the ground.

“I do know.” Mendel says, and you see the smoke start to float back in her hollow hole. She is trying to complete the process. “I know exactly what happened to your children. To your husband. To you. I can tell you, if you like”

Jager glances at the pod that is speaking to her.

Shit. SHIT! Mendel is using “I know what happened to people you love” card!

If it makes you feel any better, they tortured, murdered, and did a staggering amount of horrible things which can never ever even sort of be excused. It just so happens they also started the "Save humanity" project. They are not good guys, don't get me wrong, but just like their hypothermia studies there were actual people in charge, some of whom were not demons made manifest and who also had projects that despite the moral issues were very informative.

So really, I'd say the only time you should listen to what she says is when you've got your foot ready to stomp on her liar's throat.

You know that's how they catch people like us, right? People who can't remember? You saw what they did to Sin-Fin. They make chains and prisons of memories and your past. They wrap you up and down with them, choke your hopes and dreams with their weight and dangle a line in front of you, that you think keeps you from suffocating but only leads you to do what they want. The only way to win is not to play. Don't play her game.

"The truth won't fill that hole inside you. Those hands of yours, they're not for futilely reaching for the past, or for holding some kind of doomsday device that was made all wrong regardless of the reasons behind it.

People always get so caught up in finding the 'why' in things that they lose track of the only question that really matters. 'What now'. Are you going to spin your wheels, and find a new Fuhrer to take orders from? It didn't work out for you the first time, so why would you let it take away everything a second time?

Your hands are meant for reaching out to people, to holding and being held. You're someone who has gained true wisdom that comes from believing in the best in people, and knowing that that can sometimes be enough to make it come true.

And I believe in you, Veloces Jager."

She needs to remember the desert. White sand and black sky, a minimalist canvas for the soul, a Darwinian nightmare made by the whim of a fallen angel. And after being maddened by unfathomable hunger, and reforged in a crucible of countless souls, she chose to emerge as someone who cares, who hopes, who loves, and believes. Like I'm not sure if she knows how much of an insufferable cunt we could be before we met her, but she was able to rub off on us. Regardless of the demonic corruption, Jager's made a much bigger impact on us than Lucifer or Asmodeus. I just wish there was a way to say that in ways she understood.

IT'S ALL COMING APART, MAN!
>>
>>35444949
Well the only thing that bugs me is that some part of Jager would be interested in coming back right? Is it a one sided thing? Is she making rolls to return... or.. does she want to be the Crazy Nazi?

Does she not want the Risacat?
>>
>>35444949
I don't think this was her main base. Highly doubt she's even in Japan.

Panic or not. I am zen. We must see where this goes.

Uhhh....guys? I got a really weird feeling. What if all that good stuff Mendel was saying...wasn't about us? What if it was about Jager? I mean, we don't fucking science at all. We're downright contemptuous of humans and commonly kill massively numbers of them as a side effect of existing. We haven't changed at ALL. Jager....has. And all this time, it wasn't us she was trying to recruit, it was all about trying to flip Jager.
>>
>>35444984
I think we bungled it by bringing up her family. Which means we bungled things this round as well, because one of us almost certainly said the wrong thing.

Which means we've lost.

What? I don't know what quest you've playing, but I think we've changed quite a lot from our days as a hollow, and we've mostly stopped killing humans by now. Also we like them due to liking the stuff they make.

You lean back underneath a blade swipe, flexible sort, and roll over what seems to be a massive cannon which forcibly combines two energies which should be impossible. You look over to Jager and snarl. “She knows what happened to them because she did it. She was the one to take your child and clone him for the potential powers he had.” You say. Jager looks at you as you try to avoid the monsters who are becoming more and more powerful with every strike. “Remember what they did to Sin-Fin! Remember the chains they use to bind you! Remember the chains they made that held you, those chains are no longer there.” You shout.

“I do not know any Sin-Fin.” She says casually, because to the empire of evil no one exists who does not matter. “However I do remember that there was a dream we all shared for all of humanity.”

“Your humanity is what matters!” You say as a blade tears a chunk out of your side. “You are dead Jager, and in your death you remembered what it is you truly are! You reached out to people, you cared for people! You did everything you could to make life better! You are good, truly honestly good!”

“Yes.” Jager raises her hand and you see her understand something you could never dream of. “I am dead, are I not?”

“You are, but you have done so much. We killed so many monsters, we ended so many nightmares, we devoured gods and kings until the only thing left was us! She is just some slag who has been stealing your work!” You say.

“So I have. I continue the dream that was lost all those years ago. Humanity needs you, now more than ever. It needs you to be who you were born to be.” Mendel says.

Jager considers this. “Was I happy?” She wonders.

“What?” You ask.

“Was I happy as a ghost. As a shell of my former self, was I happy?” She asks.

“You were. You were stupidly self-sacrificing, and we argued about how you needed to take better care of yourself, but you were happy. You smiled a lot. You were my Jager bombs, and you laughed, and cried, and did everything you could do to be you. I am just a Risa cat, I am just a sociopathic hedonist with no sense of right or wrong, and to me you were disgustingly human. Too human.” You say.

Jager nods slowly and seems to be considering it. Mendel chimes up in the background. “You swore an oath. An oath to the dream of humanity, you would abandon me now, I who share the same dream? You would go back on your word?” She asks.

Jager turns to the pod, and a monstrous coldness fills her gaze. “I swore an oath, but not the same you swore. If you swore the same oath I did this world would be a sea of flames, or truly free from evil. Petulant child, you may steal my work, for science is born from theft, but do not pretend to hold tight to the dream we held so dear in that nightmare of Berlin. Do not pretend to dream as we dared to dream. Or were forced to dream.”

She throws out a small blast of energy, raw human energy, and destroys the pod. She crosses her hands behind her back, and again she resumes the Nazi like pose that makes you shiver in your British lady parts. “So that all set then? You are done with the whole nightmare? Because if you want to keep on keeping on with the sexy Nazi officer look, even though I don’t have a sex drive, I will be sad. We had so much going on Jager. We-“ You are about to go into a long speech which involves beating her shield but she shakes her head.

“No. I am dead. The dead should accept it.” She sighs.

You see smoke slowly drift from her hollow hole, and nod. “You are doing right Jager. I can’t say it well but, ah, you know. You and I. I mean, I sort of feel like that, you know. Like you and I should be that way.”

“No.” Jager says tilting her head. “I do not know.”

“I am saying I feel. I feel, like, you know. We should be maybe-“ You start but stop as demonic spikes tear into your flesh then explode with angel energy as the two monsters scream infinite wrongness at you. “Bloody hell, call off your dogs! That is enough isn’t it?”

“No.” Jager says pulling out two guns. “The child was right, I did swear an oath. So long as I remember the dream I shall strive for it, even if it is a nightmare. I take my promises seriously.” She shyly plays with her ring. “I do not compromise.”

“You are serious? I have to fight Super Nazi you until you forget the crazy dream of a mad despot?” You ask.

“I swore an oath. I never go back on my word. I am faithful.” Jager says.

You smile and leap towards her. You leave your leg behind to lash out against the monsters that were once human. You splash against her shield like a rain drop made of flesh and teeth. You bite hard, and create small cracks on the defensive barrier. She points bot of her guns up at you and fires. You roll out of the way and the discharge of the weapons arc like an artillery round, then slam into the ground. You become acutely aware of something terrifying for just a moment. The planet shifts, then screams in agony as its soul, the soul of the entire bloody planet, is mutated and shaped. Massive guns form, and you look up with a weak smile as they spin and point at you. “Seriously? Bloody seriously?” You wonder.

The entire soul of the planet, something at or above high level angel power points directly at you. Jager turns to you with a raised eyebrow as her hollow hole slowly burns back into being. “This is it? The English soldiers from long ago had much more, er.” She struggles with the word. “Balls.” She concludes.

“I’m a girl!” You should as countless other pillar cannons form, becoming a forest of fuck you Risa.

“It is just an expression.” She replies.

You coat your body in ceros as the monsters charge you and the guns formed from the soul of an entire planet point at you, ready to tear you into nothing. Ah, I love that broad.

If there is a chance for a monologue I will use a lot of it, but in the middle of a fight it doesn't make much sense for her to grab a skull as say how she knew him well, you know?

I like write ins that are, hm, true to the character I guess. That doesn't say much. In high stress/dangerous situations I can't add in too much since I want to add in as much as I can, but I will try to add the awesome parts in as best I can. In solo situations you can monologue if you want, but Risa doesn't seem like much of the monologue sort.

Oh, I like write ins that include a bit of her crazy actions. Things like sticking her tongued out, or biting down on her fingers until they bleed while rambling. Those sorts of ideas are cool.

Then again, I just try to incorporate what fits best.
