We need to tell okaba about the spell slots because we need him to enchant CARDS, not items. Specifically we need him to place curses on set cards. Since these cards seem to just flat reverse the effect of curses, we should be able to power beneficial southern enchants with no drawbacks.

This week's patch!

Massive changes to the skill system

For example:
Knight gives you 2 [Chivalry] skills
When you become a pal adin, you get more [Chivalry] skills, but don't fo rget the [Chivalry] skills you had. This even goes backwards.

If for some reason you want to keep leveling knight i nstead of paladin in the future, you retain access to the [Chivalry] skills you learnt in other jobs

Also, my space key is acting super sensitive today so dont mind if for some reason sometimes I place spaces at odd places.

Listed up a ton of new dances, and boosted the dancer so it ca used debuffs that last 5 rounds instead of needing to sustain the dance.

Singer job tree is now complete, except for hybrid jobs that will happen by next week.

Monk job tree completed

Mamluk job tree completed

Armor proiciency defensive weapon skills added

Ambidexterity and Monkey's Grip Offensive weapon tricks added.

Etc

I was thinking about it. I think yes, but watch out. Currently Lyann's spear has a ghost card so whenever she AFFECTS an enemy with a dance, she gets 10MP per enemy. If we boosted it with a ghost card, she would ONLY get mana when she hurts an enemy. Not that useful for a dedicated debuffer

Normally its just a missile. Some spell tricks let you make walls and even minefields. Notice that we have a lot more spell tricks than we should have. That is because I am giving them to our MV as rewards for his research and work into that area. If we kept researching, Im okay with inventing/giving him more

So if i'm getting this right, we currently have
1 Avenger, 16 Noble, 4 Paladin, 16 Ranger, 16 Scion, 16 Wizard
active, which means experience is divided 5 ways.

scion gives a 50% exp boost. So assume a monster gives 100xp, that means we're getting 150xp, and splitting that 5 ways for 30xp per class and job.

Compared to a normal person leveling 1 class, 1 job, they'd be putting 50xp into each. So we're leveling at about 60% of the rate a normal person would.

Alright, definitely have to try going with class/scion/job ONLY for our next dungeon run. That should let us level 150% of the rate a normal person would.

I like mean like firing a line spell that hits every target in its path, but those targets then become origins for burst explosions. Sort of like hybrid, combining damage, but instead of adding more elements you add more shapes.

Right, but Die for Power seems to say 'Your HP temporarily counts as your MP pool'. I figured people don't use that in combination with dragon force because it kill the caster, but we have an auto-raise ring which bypasses that little snag.

I actually figure ranger is going to be our primary support class in dungeons. Stealth lets us scout ahead without danger, and item box is just great to have.

So even if we're not leveling it, we'll be turning it on to scout ahead, turning it off for the actual fight, then turning it back on again for picking up loot.

I disagree
Going from level 1 to level 2 in a job gives identical benefits as going from level 91 to 92
but the latter takes exponentially more XP.

The benefits classes give all stack, HP, MP, attributes, elemental/divine magic, melee, ranged, and chivalry are all seperate numerical stats that we have innate to us and that stack from all the different classes.
Not to mention that the access to all those passives and actives simultanously means we are far more powerful and kill enemies faster and thus earn XP faster

so, I believe we should have all our classes on simultanously at all times. unless we are specifically trying to rush a specific thing (ex, unlocking archmage).

also remember that int gives +spell damage and wisdom gives +spell resistance, con gives +innate physical damage reduction... So getting ridiculously high stats from being omniclassed would more than pay for itself.

We really need to learn dancer. Bladedancer is the best tank we know of, hands down. Seducer is the best aoe caster. We can combine bladedancer/seducer. Taunt everything around us to attack, making us nigh invulnerable. Then cast fireball with +10 mana at everything attacking us. Boom.

Having one class at 20 means that all other classes below 20 get an xp bonus. We're not leveling purely for stats, we're leveling for unlocks, precisely because of the xp curve you talk about. We need as many jobs as we can get, and level them all 1-20. That'll give us a fuckton more stats than trying to level any single class exclusively.

However, leveling more than one class at a time is pointless. Your total stat growth is identical, but your stats/time is this shitty step graph with huge jumps followed by nothing for extended periods. Leveling one at a time smooths that out, and lets us deal with harder content earlier, meaning leveling is even faster.

Alright, so you get more MP/HP. but you still get a fixed amount of chivalry, stgrength, dex, int, wis, app, cha, melee, ranged, elemental, and divine magics.

And you still get more HP/MP per XP by spreading your XP around between maximum amount of classes (This is why we have so much more HP/MP than anyone else we know).

That isn't the case. We're primary damage dealer in our party, most of the passives we have don't even get used.

If we were going through the dungeons solo, you'd have a point, but we're in a group. All the passives in the world don't change the action economy. We won't see any decrease in clear speed by going one at a time.

So no, clear speed will go UP when we switch to 1 class at a time, due to steady improvements in raw stats.

You can access any base job you want via only a few weeks of study regardless of your class. the class just gives access at birth. Exotic classes take a few months of training to unlock. and she already has some pretty badass ones, she isn't gonna lose her jobs on a reclass.

Is that true, KIng? The job trees imply arcanist can only be learned by nobles. And the way that lyann unlocked seducer implies that advanced classes are instant, not learned over time.

Also, mom is a very high level villager, she's not going to get many more stats from that. If anything villager is more suited to warriors and nobles to casters, since nobles get +int.

Lets say mom would have to go through special training to become an arcanist first, but once that is done, she can become an archmage upon reaching arcanist level 20

Mostly inns, taverns, and a few shops. There's also a slavers stockade

This time however, you are allowed into the actual underground city

The walls are completely black, raising up inside the mountains until they are gone from sight, the polished and carved walls reflecting light in a thousand ways so that it looks as if you were under a sky full with billions of stars.

The streets themselves are well lit, and you can see the dwarves walking about on their business, yet stopping to look at your carriage as it crawls about.

Mako is kneeling on her seat so she can peek out the windows.

"...!" -she sounds quite excited about the tall tower-pillars of the dwarves, which raise up and dissapear from sight

The houses are blocky, but Honoria assures you that typically dwarves prefer large houses without gardens, and instead have large parks with underground flora to walk about and enjoy.

You pass through one such park after a few minutes, indeed.

Tall, magical looking mushrooms with sparkling bodies reach up, glowing softly, lighting up the night as if on a faery tale.

"....!" -Mako is really happy as she sees tiny dots of light floating about the tops of the muschrooms

"My princess wants to know if those are faeries" -says Mai

"They are" -answers Honoria- "It comes to show how much do we care about our parks and plazas

"...!" -Mako looks like she could just pop

Then the carriage goes up through the main shopping street. Most stores have 3 or more floors, and the dwarves are all carrying goods from a side to another.

There seems to be a surprisingly high number of cats staring at the carriage from the shadows.

The palace itself shines like a gem, and Honoria explains to you that its walls have polished factes like those of diamonds, as well as tiny amounts of gold flakes in them, causing it not only to shine, but to shine in different colors depending on how bright light hits it, or drom where it hits it.

A half dozen elves with bright, rich-looking clothes and golden collars approaches to take care of your baggage.

They are mostly chocolate elves, with a single vanilla in the mix. Barefoot, they move gracefully on the balls of their feet as they labor quietly.

I was actually looking at our and lyann's stat sheet to try and figure out what enchantments we could do.

It looks like we still need to buy amulet, bracelet, and anklet for ourselves. Actually, don't we have that water spirit amulet?

Lyann still needs head, amulet bracelet for accessories.

The possible card combinations seem pretty lackluster except for vanberk, marina and abyssmal, but those might be very hard to replace so putting them into our crappy armor/weapons seems a waste.

I'll take a look at the new jobs now.

As your guides leave you alone, you help Lyann store your clothes away, and then explore the room itself.

It is a wide room, about 8 times the size of your own befroom, with its own bathroom.

You are not sure if you should be impressed by the fact that it has a wc and running water, or just say "as expected of the dwarves"

Your inner fat guy sort of expected ale or beer to come out of the faucet, tho.

Oh, the tub has a shower head on top, and there's actual cold/hot faucets, too!

Is the tub stainless steel? that would mean the dwarves are not as backwards as the rest of the world. Its rather interesting.

Or again, its metallurgy, so maybe you should just say "as expected of the dwarves"?

Lyann finishes pushing the clothes into the high shelves (which are not that high), and goes over to see what you are doing.

"Eldric, I can't believe you are playing with water, really! you are such a child sometimes!" -she chides us gently as she sees us playing with the hot/cold faucets on the tub

You both play with the faucets for a little bit. Then decide to have a bath ro clean off all the dust from the trail before exploring the palace.

There's no shampoo, but Lyann washes your hair thoroughly as you both enjoy the spray of warm water on your heads.

Yup, warm showers are amazing. Having a warm shower with your Lyann is a top-tier sort of happiness, really!

Seems almost as meta as scion. Good strategic capabilities, but not that great in a fight.

Fremen is a good backstab class. Maybe too strong depending on how high you can pump crit, as that could grant perma stealth.

Fedaykin is a good upgrade on fremen. Allows you to backstab every turn. Maybe add another passive that you can't be caught unawares?

The chocolate elf girl doesn't seem to mind Lyann at all, however. She too is wearing very bright and soft-looking clothes. Bright red and white silks make up her shirt and skirt, and she walks around on the balls of her feet, keeping her ankles together whenever she stands still.

"Please wear a blue shirt for the occassion" -she informs you while standing stiff like a statue- "I am Kalliira, and will be your attendant during your stay. If you or your slave need me to, I can arrange proper clothes for you in a few hours, young lord"

There was a tradition of dance during religious ceremony on India that got wiped out when the british colonized them, because they couldnt see the difference between the holy temple dancers and the whores who danced on the streets to announce themselves

They were originally "wives" of kings, but were NOT expected to perform wifely duties, instead dedicating themselves to the gods, music, art and dance.

So sort of like the mecenas/artist system during the european renaissance.

Reminds me of how there appear to be dancing temple maidens in a few anime, too? I guess it would be the same in a sense

Kalliira seems like a nice type. She has deep chocolate-colored skin and an attractive figure. She reminds you quite a bit of Elli in that sense.

Her hair is snow-white, however.

She asks Lyann to remain as she is, since it will make things easier.

Lyann is a bit confused by the treatment, but perhaps it is because she's a dancer?

And the blade dancer is if anything stronger as a tank in dungeon settings. 155 APP is not hard to get, that's just 20 dancer/11bladedancer, and that means that as long as one person is adjacent, the bladedancer has better armor than someone wearing heavy armor.

Cadenero seems kinda meh. It has dancer's crazy damage, but its passive being limited to improvised weapons means the martial arts tricks it has are going to be pretty weak.

Noone would dare suggest a blade dancer is a slave for fear of falling sick with a case of axe-to-the-face syndrome, and devadasi are basically holy priestesses, who were very well off socially and were really very, very similar to nuns in that they were slaves "to the gods only" so changing the job tab on top of her head its a very easy fix

10 levels in healer is not a hard goal. Being a devadasi gives her pseudo-nobe status right away, like any other holy man would get

Kalliira shows Lyann how to open and close her fan with a flick of the wrist.

Once you are both ready, she scorts you around the palace, providing explanations on anything you ask about.

The dwarf palace guards are wearing bright blue steel armors, typically a breastplate, leg and arm protectors, and helmets.

They look very "conquistador" about it, but of course, you dont say that.

Kalliira explains to you as much as she can, but as a recent arrival herself, she can't tell you must about history, or the different dwarven heroes that you see represented in statues here and there across the hallways.

The point of bard is being an absolute master of buffs and debuffs, and thats it.

Hybrid classes are meant to be good on their own, so each dancer hybrid job is strong so you dont mind keeping it as your "final job" all the way

Alara nods, and takes you to a minor dining hall, where she has some very small, light dishes brought in so you can practice. Dwarven high table manners arent that special. It mostly revolves around sharing drink with your fellow diners, and keep your plate at least half full during the whole meal in order to show the host's generosity, refilling as many times as needed.

Well, it is actually sort of fun.

Once the lessons are over with, it is about bed time for the princess. Her shadows are very strict with her bed times, it seem. She starts getting sleepy every day a few minutes before it, and falls deeply asleep almost immediately.

Ami carries her to bed, while Mai excuses her and herself.

Well, there's also the fact that doubtlessly Kalliira thinks of Lyann and you as children.

Anyway, when you go out of the bath, your clothes are ready and top of the bed. The dwarf tailor is in the room as well. He has your dinner clothes ready for tonight, and wants to see how they fit on you to make any last minute changes with time.

Your shirt feels really nice. Its soft, and snuggly. It has a fluffy neck accessory that feels very tudor, but doesn't really bothers you. The boots are high quality and fit quite well.

Really, they look so shiny you can see yourself on them, but the tailor says they should be stain resistant and quite hardy.

Lyann's blue robes are like something an arabian princess or highly cherished dancer would wear. They have a closed, tall turtle neck but after a few inches, hang open casually, showing off her lovely figure.

She is also wearing a highly decorative bottom somewhere between panties and shorts, with the robe finally closing again around each of her shins to make some sort of short pants or socks.

It floats away from her pretty much with every single step, but as soon as she stands still, falls down on her so completely you'd think it is a burka.

When we first go down, kill 3 weak enemies with fists to unlock monk, have lyann do the same, then try and blitz through levels until we get down to floor 10 or so. Only have wizard active while doing this, so we can get a job to 20 quickly and make every subsequent job level up faster.

Maybe have something like a 'soul knife' class which branches off from avenger that's based around creating a personal weapon ala shinigami from bleach.

Then have a yojimbo class also branching off which is based around removing a target from danger or taking hits for them.

Sure, but is everyone else equipped with mana/hp drain items? We have functionally unlimited stamina. From our experience with our older dungeon group, they won't. So cycling them and giving everyone enough rest is important.

Third floor- Level 3 Boars

Well... boars DO make actual enemies. Its a giant hog, with tusks. You could tell people yuo fought several dozen boars with no shame whatsoever.

You pay the elves in chicken legs and copper coins, and then them for covering you.

Ugh, they really are thoroughly covered in tomatoe juice.

Well, the next few floors are actually more like what you'd expect to see from a proper dungeon.
Lvl 3 Boars
You get 12x [Pork Meat] and 1x [High Quality Pork Meat]

Lvl 4 Man Eating Plants
You get 22x [Spicy Spices]. It would have been nice to see an actual card, but... well, its a very rare drop. You cant complain

Lvl 5 its... lvl 5 chickens
There's something about "high level" chickens... they drop chicken buckets.

Well, from what Honoria explains to you, you can adjust the TYPE of monster that will spawn, but not the exact monster. You can hure the church's devadasi to dance several times if you really absolutely positively HAVE TO get a special spawn, but that would cost 10K per try and reroll the entire dungeon
