Federal Republic of Germany 07:10Following a suspiciously good breakfast, you and the rest of what the rest of the base refer to as “F Team” are directed towards a small briefing room located next to armoury. The room itself semi-circular, like a lecture theatre, with a pitched floor and lines of desks surrounding a projector screen. As you all move in to take your seat, you find yourself sitting next to the small blonde you previously introduced herself as Giltinė on your first mission. She’s snoozing in her chair, obviously not concerned with the situation in the slightest, not even stirring as a man in brown sweater takes the podium. “Good Morning, for those you are new here, I’m central officer Bradford, my goal here is to organise and brief you on behalf of Commander Beagle. Everyone else, you know the drill so settle down. Oh and Someone wake Loli up” > Wake the Loli> Don’t wake the Loli> Other

Well this threads off to a brilliant start...Sorry that you got such shit players for your first quest OP.
>>35344653Maybe he should tone down the jokes he's been putting through the quest? As well as using twitter effectively
>>35344600Won't kill the quest if QM knows what to do actually do with the suggestion. Having played LSQ I know it's a terrible idea and am not suggesting it, but it's not actually out of line with what has been going on so far in the quest so the suggestion really is fair. It's just a matter of what Dent decides to do with the suggestion. I mean I can already think of a few ways to go about it, so I'm sure he can too.
>>35344669Honestly the tone between this quest and LSQ is absurd, so much so that I'd say that this should hardly be called a sequel, or related to it at all.
>>35344669>but it's not actually out of line with what has been going on so far in the questYeah it is, completely. When have we done anything even remotely similar? Closest was when we shoved out stun prod up that alien in the first thread in a fit of rage. This? This is just stupid.
>>35344662Yeah, the tone and jokes are waaay too much and just bring in the stupid, he needs to tone them down a lot, I'm not saying get rid of them, but make them appropriate and not just LOLRANDUMB WHORE every 3rd line.
>>35344454Federal Republic of Germany 07:15You gently caress the snoring girl next to you. A couple seconds pass before her eyes focus on your face and she lowers the blade sheepishly and moves back to her seat. Around you, the rest of what you now know is the “Alpha” Team along with Bradford are stifling some chuckles. As the smiles fade, Bradford continues the briefing “Right, for those of you on team Foxtrot, first lesson of X-Com. The Loli is going to try to murder you.”As everyone else settles in, he brings up on the projector at a slide marked ‘Operation Fallen Raven’“Six hours ago, one of our agents contacted us with intelligence that a terrestrial paramilitary organisation has acquired a large alien artefact and has moved it to a research facility in the Russian Federation. As a result, our agent has requested a team to be dispatched to both extract him, and retrieve the artefact. To accomplish this, Alpha team will affect a breach of the site, retrieve both the agent and artefact, and withdraw to the extraction point. Foxtrot team will be dropped in 30 minutes behind Alpha to secure the extraction point and assist Alpha in its extraction. To be clear, there will be no salvage or recovery besides the artefact, so you don’t have to kill everything you see. I’m looking at you Loli. I know what you did to that room of conscripts last time…”>cont post 2

>>35345067The term 'battle rifle' is a neologism. It was created largely out of a need to better differentiate the intermediate-power assault rifles (StG-44, AK-47 & M16) from the full-powered automatic rifles (FN FAL, M14 rifle & H&K G3) as both classes of firearms have similar appearances and share many of the same featuresWhile the designation of battle rifle is usually given to post-World War II select fire infantry rifles such as the FN FAL, the M14 and the H&K G3, this term is also used to describe older military full-powered semi-automatic rifles such as the M1 Garand, the MAS-49 and the FN-49.wikipedia

The machine gunner, weighed down by his weapon lags behind the marksman, quickly drawing fire from both the SHIV and the Russian, rounds landing around him, he tries to turn back towards the van, only for one of the SHIV’s explosive rounds to catch him in the knee, sending him sprawling into the dirt. The sniper is luckier, almost making it to the buildings before you manage to drop a 7.62x51mm round into his back, between his shoulder blades, punching a fist sized hole into his chest. As the sniper falls, your assault team quickly closes on the now hapless and mewling machine gunner, his leg detached at the calf, he’s bleeding like a stuck pig. Heather quickly kicks away his Machine gun, some sort of laser weapon which the Russian examines closely before discarding. Its quickly apparent that the four operatives here were the only forces defending the extraction point, everyone else seems to be over in the main compound duking it out with alpha. >Attempt to Interrogate the wounded man>Radio HQ reporting the LZ secure>Put the Boots to him. Ask them about Fairfield. And don’t trust the monster"With those last words, he bites down, crushing a tooth, after which he releases his grip and falls back to the ground. Pulling back, the live grenade still in your hand, you toss it into one of the nearby buildings, its solid construction shielding the squad from the blast. “You know, you really should stop trying to solve things with your dick. Unless you know, its me your offering to…” Heather quips from behind you, as the medic looks over the Russians broken nose. Your about to formulate a comeback when a large explosion roars from the main complex. Something BIG just went off. Thirty Seconds later, Bradford Radios you the good news. “Alpha just went dark and the local military nets just went berserk. Whatever just happened, it’s been noticed by the Russians. Prepare for immediate extraction. Voodoo Three-One’s ETA is six minutes.”“What about Alpha?” you ask, keenly aware the reason that you’re here in the first place was to secure their extraction. “Unknown, their satellite feeds went dead thirty seconds ago and we’re trying to require.” The gunfire from the main facility has changed, its not longer the patter of small arms, but the deep booms of something heavier. With only a few minutes available to you, bringing the big guns would just slow you down, so taking the fast movies makes sense. The rest of the squad settles into cover around the extraction zone, Popping smoke and flares to mark it for the skyranger as you and your two companions make a break for the main compound. Two minutes later, and your all puffing hard as you reach the north-east gate. The place is a mess, bodies are everywhere and most of the buildings are on fire. Advancing quickly towards the sound of combat, you quickly come across the gory remains of one of Alpha team. From the look of the body, his upper chest was crushed like a rotten fruit by something of immense weight. Continuing along, you pick up the sounds of exotic weapons, a sizzling noise not unlike the sound water makes when thrown on the fire, along with a deep staccato booming of some sort of heavy weapon. The noises seem to be getting closer… As you three round another corner, you catch sight of what been making all the noise… It’s massive, standing at least five meters tall on two legs with a hanging torso.
