Previously:
San Diego is wiped out by a tidal wave, a young man caught in the deluge as the city is erased by what some might consider the very wrath of god in a world with a sky of endless colors. Snatched from the brunt of the wave, the young man faces an inhuman creature of humanoid form that strikes out his eye to deliver onto him the gift of magic by means of the followers.

Praise be to Susej they say. These followers.

Selfish in his means of survival, a young man rallies with these people for his own safety as the government seeks to keep the truth of the world under wraps, that magic exists and that people like the followers are throwing it into chaos.

Sent on a mission to liberate people captured for conscription based on their awakening to magic, he journeys with others to meet with a woman planted for this very purpose, finding adversity on the way.

Having left a trail all too easy to follow, he's been captured and taken to the very place he'd been looking to gain access, though not exactly on his own terms...

Recently rescued by unknown allies, the young man takes on a new alias “Faust” to help him lay low.

You are Asher Faust, welcome to Over(human)Limit S2

I was thinking about adding in a fireball or something, but I figured it was good enough just getting rid of Fara.

The world vibrates as your balance bleeds out of your ears, the light of the stage flickering in the distance amongst a panicked crowd as another monster of flames does high speed battle with a pair of masters, movements a masterful blur as they barely fend of Marcus's infernal assault.

A screaming inferno roars behind you, explosions both large and small sending shooting stars of slagmetal skidding onto thhe pavement from the parking garage.
With your hands and knees on black pavement, the silent motors of your pitch-black assailants wheel around, a screeching stop by one of them, a sudden movement and you feel your mortality again as a blade whips from the thing's arm, sliding out the length of a forearm, as it slides it through soundless air.

A guardian stops the shining blade with her own shield, Legna.

(Faust, you are injured. Still good to fight?) She asks in a hushed, yet hurried tone.

Everything is swimming as you struggle to right yourself, up is right, right is left, left is down, and down is... very down. (Fine... Morgan... Heal!)

(So demanding...) The Fae chides, (Without a sacrifice it will burn.)

(Don't care. Fix it.)

As soon as you finish the thought, you feel as though your eardrums are being stabbed, mangled and rearranged. Legna's shield stops more of the antagonistic blades as your inner ears are restored.

The sonics start to bleat again, but liquid darkness grasps your assailants and yanks them back. As your hearing comes back into focus, you hear loud explosive air not unlike gunshots rock them before they fall limp. Twitching with nothing but mechanical impulse.
A dip in the astral and you see something dark staring back at you, a spellform dripping with neither malice nor mercy. Just cold, dead, command.
>>
>>35312061
>but liquid darkness grasps your assailants and yanks them back.
Based Tony.
>>
>>35312061

The thing slips away, and the wraiths around you all lie defeated, a hole where their faces should be, blood and gray matter sprayed all over the concrete.

A squint and you figure that this is Tony's work, who else? Good to know he's still alive up there. Donneth though- You can't feel him quite as before, he'll need time or power to recorporalize. Shame.

Morgan labors in the astral, returning deeper, (I need time to gather my strength. You'll need to deal with the next one unless you have something to sacrifice.) She hisses, slowly slipping out of the range of your connection. Suppose you only get one.

The burning beast roars at your back, the molten heat of the parking Garage at your back as it melts its way through. With sheer fury. A look back and you see more stars of slag careening down, and a person running from the garage, glancing back. There they are...

We have pretty high burn already
>>
>>35312104
God this wand is fucking amazing, kinda wanna make it less ragey though, rage is a very dangerous thing.
>>
>>35312104
>[] Engage the other mechs as they're deployed from the truck.
Do the Blink + Ignorance suicide bomb trick discussed at the end of last thread to destroy the truck and surrounding mechs
>>
>>35312104
>[] Ignore them, head up to the stage and help the others get away
I don't think we can handle getting ganked by mechs at the moment.
>>
>>35312104
How in the fuck is that guy not dead?

Ok, though. Let's think about this.
>No way that guy just stops. He's going to reposition and start raining more explosions. If the rage beast doesn't suddenly decide to kill him, we're fucked.
>But pursuing him opens us up to getting rekt by Daedalus' machines.
>We don't have nearly enough juice to engage the mechs right now.

We can see him, right? Couldn't we make a teeeeny tiny little hole with Geo so that he trips? Pop the ground open under his foot and then close it so he's stuck?

After that, go to the stage and help the others get away. I guess.

>>35312215
That's incredibly burn intensive and we're at Severe.
>>
>>35312215
Should we realy do that with a Severe burn?
>>
>>35312190
We want it to be dangerous. That was the entire point of the damn thing.
>>
>>35312235
This anon has a good idea
>>
>>35312104
>[] Pursue the exploder. Fucker needs to die and that monster isn't doing its job.

Take them out before they can get away, reengage, and make our life hell. We don't need to do much, just a Fiend Hound to try to grab onto an arm or something and stop him, and then Fiend Hound Pit or something to keep him in place. Then the fire rage beast can catch up and burninate him.

Assuming that goes well, see if we can sic the fire rage beast on the truck full of mechs, we don't want to accumulate much burn and there's this giant fucking beast right here.
>>
>>35312235
>Couldn't we make a teeeeny tiny little hole with Geo so that he trips?
Or we could try to make a fiend right under him. I don't know which one would cost less burn.
>>
>>35312104
Are there any plants around?

If we can force the mechs to start hurting trees or something, the Rage beast superfiend might go fucking berserk and kill them all.
>>
>>35312104
This might be retarded, but the Baby Hydra is already charged, isn't it?

So shouldn't we be able to summon it right in front of the guy for no cost? Yeah, if it actually manages to kill him, we'll have to give it a tiny bit of energy, but at Adept summoning it can't be /that/ bad. The thing's only rank 1.
>>
>>35312424
>This might be retarded
It is
>>
What if we had Legna go kill him? She can tank the explosions if he notices, but I'm pretty sure he's mostly focusing on running for his life right now.
>>
>>35312589
Worst case scenario he just blows the thing up and continues on like nothing happened.
More likely is that it slows him down a touch while he gets rid of it.
Kinda goodish case is that the hydra kills him and we have to feed it some energy.
Best case he blows himself up when he nukes the thing on reflex at close range and we don't have to expend any energy at all.
>>
>>35312104

Staring down the exploder, you figure that you can't let them get away. The burning rage-beast lurches out of the molten parking lot, clambering after the person. As they glance back a cluster of miniature explosions grip its face, forcing the beast, despite its compostion, to stagger and flail as though blinded, its eyes destroyed for a moment as they begin to reform.

With a howl, it booms out a smaller series of fiends in lieu of a firebreath. As the explosions beat down on the mage, they wave their hand and shout something. With a flick of your wand and a smile, you move the concrete up to trip them, sending them to the ground as you shout out, “Fiend!” The compression explosion starting to erupt a moment later, engulfing your foe.

A wicked smile and you feel a sort of grim satisfaction in the murder of the one that caused you such a literal headache.

Turning, you look back to the stage, ready to head up to deal with those guys holding up Marcus from what last you saw. As you take a step, you feel a horrible explosion begin to rock your back, Legna's shield stops up most of it, yet you're still falling to the ground, your bones feeling like frail splinters from the impact.

A fierce glare back at the exploder, and you see them taking a knee, gleaming goggles flickering with the residual flames stuck to the pavement, casting a fierce red glow all around.

HOW. HOW IS HE STILL OKAY!? You grit your teeth as the exploder's eyes shine from beyond the goggles. Shi-

Two micro explosions occur on either side of your head, shellshocking, but nothing like the Wraith's sound, Legna fails to block the pincer-like attack. Some part of you figures it's just a precursor.

The sound of a high velocity gatling gun rings out, shooting up at some buildings in the distance...

>[] Have Legna charge, this needs to stop.
>[] Blink away, you can't take any more of this.
>[] Throw up a ward and bide your time.

Is our burn still the same?
>>
>>35312901

>>
>>35312967
this.
>>
>>35312901
He probably has some kind of anti-explosion suit on so that he doesn't hurt himself. What does whatever he's wearing look like? Does he have a helmet or only just goggles?

I'm thinking that if we can force a line of sight break, he can't explode us anymore. We could try to Pit under him. Or we could try to Orb and just smash his head
>>
>>35312967
Yeah, no change yet.
>>
>>35312901
I swear to god if he blew up our explosions.

Oh god the mechs are shooting at Tony
>>
>>35313022
I'm thinking he's an aeromancer or something. Fuck him up with a geo orb hound
>>
>>35313095
Nah, he's probably got that meta spell that just causes explosions that Dran talked about a bit ago. Doesn't matter what he uses it on, he just makes she explode.
>>
>>35313011
Ignorance isn't that accurate at returning spells. It would just make random explosions in the general direction of where we aimed it.
>>
>>35312901
>[] Have Legna charge, this needs to stop.
>[] Throw up a ward
He can't explode us if Ignorance is eating his spells. FDT would work too, I guess, and it would let us also cast, but that one doesn't really stop spells as dead.
>>
>>35313173
It would still completely negate his big next attack.
>>
>>35312901
He's already shown the ability to overwhelm Legna's shield and get around it. Just keeping her on us won't protect us if we stay here without a ward.
There are other things in the area, the mechs, that can easily kill us through a ward, though. They seem preoccupied with something, but how long that lasts is anyone's guess.

Throwing up a ward and sending Legna opens us up to getting killed by guns if she's not quick about it. Sending her to kill him without a ward is suicide. Staying here under a ward and not sending Legna to kill him will end up cranking our burn even higher and the best we can hope for is that the rage beast murders him while he's trying to explode us.

Blinking away will likely send our burn up to severe-medium. If he lives, then we're fucked. He needs to die within the next couple attacks if we aren't disengaging right now. It's probably the best option since it can keep us from getting exploded more and it has a better chance of keeping the mechs from shooting us. We could simultaneously send Legna to try to kill him, but I'm worried that he'd just explode her and then we'd be shieldless for the remainder of the encounter.
Honestly, at this point I'm tempted to Blink right next to him and hit him in the face with a rock even though I know it's the most stupid option possible.
>>
Everyone else here feels nervous as fuck during combat in Dran quests, right?
>>
>>35313576

>with higher alchemy lighting is doable
>melee is funny as shit when you just have to lightly tap them with your metal rod that is having lifghting pumped into it
Combining mundane shit and magic is funny as hell, guy is currently leaning on car? Make the car so cold his skin freezes to it.
>>
>>35313750
The metal rod in that scenario would zap us first. It'd be better to just make lightning appear right above him.
>>
>>35313772
Your right, I forgot how electricity works.
>>
>>35313750
Could we super heat the concrete underneath explosion man?
>>
>>35313828
Yeah, we learned how to make lava using Alchemy a couple threads ago.

Problem is that it would probably shoot us up to critical burn because we're not good at it yet.
>>
>>35313840
Then why not a small bit of it where his feet are? He stopped moving so it shouldn't be that hard, and I refuse to believe someone can cast while their foot is being melted
>>
I wish we'd just used Geo to smash his head after we tripped him instead of trying to Fiend him.
>>
>>35312901

With a hiss of break, you look away and initiate the blink just as the next explosion destroys your head.
With a blink of your eye, you shake off the daze and land down on the stage, holding your head as Marcus dances the dance of death with the martial artists. More explosions occur in the distance, a look back and you can see the exploder's turned their attention on the mechs. For a moment it confuses you.

Aren't they on the same side?

The oriental martial artists are quickly losing ground, beyond them you don't see the others, none of them seem to be left on the stage.

“What's going on?!” You shout out to Marcus, and he sweeps out an arc of flame to give his opponents a moment pause.

“We're running!”

Your eye opens a bit wider, just running huh?

The high velocity gun's trajectory shifts and you flinch as Legna intercedes, her shield rattling with the barrage. You're going to have to kiss Odin's ass for this awesome bitch. You try to shout something back but it's drowned out by the barrage. You see the mech shooting, it's chrome exterior is blinding with the muzzle flash from the gun. After a moment, the truck launches a series of flares that turn the night into day.

You hear the hellbeast roar and ram itself through the truck, detonating it for massive collateral damage as metal and glass fly everywhere.

Marcus ends his two foes with a single strike during the flash and passes you, “To the rendezvous, let's go!”

Closing your eye, you quash the flames of the flare and look back at the parking garage as it continues to melt down into a puddle of of molten cement. The exploder is nowhere to be found, though what you find strangest is the fact that the shortwave got jammed... The Mech's coordination was pretty shitty too.

As you make to leave, you see Marcus stopped before the Rage-Beast, it's snarling, dripping molten metal as it assimilates the melting truck into its form.
>>
>>35314029

“Hold on...” you hold out the wand, looking at its blackened exterior, still illuminated with the power if this evoked beast. “I'll just uh, put it back in?” You twirl the wand and try to draw the beast back. It stares at you with mindless eyes, unmoving.

Snorting flame like a revving motor, it roars and charges at the two of you, Marcus steps forward, laughing, “Goddamnit, it just won't listen. You'd better figure this shit out.” With a strong step, he concerts into flame and arcs around the beast, draining part of its power on the way.

“Just feel like you had to do something...” You groan as your headache mounts, worsening with the use of magic. “Legna, Cut it down.”

“It will melt my ste-” You snap out a hand and infuse the power of water and ice into her blade. “I said do it, no excuses.”

As she charges forward, you use the beast's own wand as a tool to hold it still, it struggles against your mental grip. As Legna plows through another blast of flame, her shield resisting the flame as her body catches ablaze, bringing the sword down in a long cut.

The hiss of water screams out into the air, the aquatic infusion evaporating.

The smoldering Monster's split head takes more than moments to reform, the metals composing its integrated form cooling and crackling at once. At the other side, its tail and haunches flicker as Marcus begins to rapidly eat it.

“Again?!” Legna asks.

You stare at the beast, the mass of fire, hatred, and vengeance and can't help but find yourself drawn to the prospect of controlling a creatures like that. Destruction incarnate. With a swallow at dry, tepid air, you command Legna to stand down even as sirens blare in the distance.

“I want it.”

Summoning up power through your wand, you try to speak with it, “Speak with me and we will form a contract.”

The burning eyes stare back in thoughtless violence, an explosive roar from the beast, as it clambers to get away from Marcus's persistent drain. There are streaks of boiling tar beneath its claws and it digs in deep pulling away and toward you.

“Say something, or are you a mad beast!?” You shout and lash out at it the wand, it yields some, but not much. You take a step closer, gripping the little stick hard as you feel the heat from the thing's body on your face. Barely even close and it's sweltering.

The beast seems to relent for a moment, bowing its head and for a moment you think that it understands something you've said. Eyes snap open and it lets out another fiendish roar, snapping the conflagration all around you, encompassing your arms and face. A last moment reflex and you push the flame away, yet as they ignite, the arm holding the wand is engulfed, burnt beyond the realm of pain as you cry out. Blink damnit, blink!

You find yourself displaced, somewhere on the other side of the monster. Marcus finishes eliminating its magic, and you're relieved to see it gone. As you start walking away, you find yourself feeling a bit lighter.

Slowly, you look down to your arm... Chills of horror creeping up your skin as you see that there's nothing but a black stump just below your elbow.

Ok. So either the wand is gone and we just fucked ourself platinum hard, or Asher really took that "I AM THE FIEND!!!!" stuff to heart and merged with the thing.

>there's nothing but a black stump just below your elbow.
Ok. Looks like We have a big incentive to get up on the whole Alchemy parts transplant thing.

Hey guys.

Next time we run into Father Assrape, we can hold up the stump and flip him off with our astral ghost-arm.

Then he can flip us off and we can both just stand there scowling at eachother with our astral one-finger salutes held high.

I bet our astral ghost-arm is made of fire.
>>
>>35315359
Asher lost an arm it was a fucking terrible idea to even try to form a contract.
>>
>>35315404
Could be either. The wand could be gone forever, or it could have gotten tacked onto our soul as some kind of astral soul arm made of fire thing.
>>
>>35315410
>I bet our astral ghost-arm is made of fire.
Our Arm got replaced by that ragefiend beast in astral.
I bet that looks badass
>>
>>35315435
If our stump is now hosting the rage beast, then that might actually give us a reason to get into close quarters combat in-character.

Before, Asher had no reason to get in close, but what if he can now maul people with the rage-beast by getting in close?
>>
>>35315435
We know have the rage of a dying land in our right/left arm.
That sounds chu2 as fuck
>>
>>35315477
Asher is chuu2 as fuck. Did you hear the incantation this nigger said in order to manifest the thing in the first place? And he ends damn near every pyromancy incantation with "I AM THE FIEND!". And before this he was working for Lucifer.

This shit fits him like a glove.
>>

I regret nothing. The wand was a good investment. Whether or not anons' decision was catastrophically bad or not is yet to be seen.

1 in alchemy.
Need it at adapt
>>
>we just absorbed a rage beast
Berserker mode with raging fire beast for a arm when?
>>
>>35315643
1 into Alchemy in order to get Adept.
1 into Florakinesis. We need a Life Magick spell in order to make the most out of Alchemy; and putting LIMIT into Life Magics is a bigger boost to alchemic augmentation ability per LIMIT spent than upping it to Expert is. Also, it might make working with the rage beast easier.
>>
>>35315643
1 Alchemy
1 pool so we can find a tutor for lifemagic
>>
>>35315666
Why do you think we absorbed it?
>>
>>35315643
1 in Alchemy, 1 in Materia Firma.
>>
>>35315643
http://pastebin.com/A6ybCn7f
I pre-edited it for you assuming we put one into Alchemy. Updated the description of Alchemy to reflect Adept ability and I added a Transmutations section to put in known alchemic actions. Right now it only has Lava and Lightning, but we'd put the ClF3 in there later and other things like that.
>>
>>35315689
Is it even confirmed we absorbed it? Maybe a lost arm is just a lost arm. Nothing to show for it.
>>
>>35315689
Wishful thinking, next time some asshole tries to get in close to us and we can't run, I wanna use our rage beast arm to rip his head off
>>
>>35315643
1 into alchemy
1 into either flora or bank it. We need a life magic for alchemy and I'd rather have fauna or flesh sculpting, but we can make flora work especially if the rage beast is still a thing that can happen
>>
>>35315718
Who the fuck knows.
We should realy get an astral scan to see what happened
>>
what if the rage beast already decided on a price for the contract, he gets to burn the shit out of us
>>
>>35315689
Not him, but the scene really sounded like something more than just losing an arm happened.

>the beast bows and closes its eyes and we get a sense that it understood somewhat
>it then opens and blasts flame at us
>Asher deflects the flames
>But the wand itself engulfs the arm holding it

It could just be that we triggered Dran's trap card and lost an arm, but gained incentive to into Alchemy augmentations. Or it could be that the beast recognized that Asher would make an ok host and took an arm as sacrifice to bond to him.
>>
>>35315718
>>35315729

>>
If we really did just lose the arm, we could get a plastic arm filled with water and use magic to manipulate it.

>>
>>35315772
On top of that, spirits and astral beings like a person depending on what they do.

Every single time Asher wants to do big magic, he declares that he is the Fiend. This seems pretty important and might have made the beast see him as a suitable host.

>>
>>35315643
I agree with the one into alchemy and one into either bank or florakinesis for now. I'm leaning towards flora, but I want to hold onto it for a little bit to see what happens. If we really did get the rage beast arm, I want to get flora for sure so that we can do plant-based augmentations to make the thing like us more. If not, then I want to hang onto it so that we can hopefully find a different life magic to learn from someone.

----
Back at base, Xix nurses your wound, the cracked and burn flesh only now starting to hurt as she picks and pokes at it. You bite down on a piece of leather to resist from crying out as she ensures that it's sterile and won't get worse.

It's a grueling, long, and disturbing process as she slowly shaves away carbonized flesh to get to the parts that are still alive, if not severely burnt. The entire time you're running a cold sweat as it continues to sink in that you just lost a goddamn arm to your own power.

By the time she's done, Saph checks in on you, visibly mortified by not only your disfigurement, but your pain, “You couldn't feel the singleminded drive of that beast, could you?”

With a haggard glare you stare back at her, eye sunk deep from the sweat and pain, “Don't you fucking patronize me. I'm not in the mood. Labored, you try to get out of bed, muscle memory making you try to grab with the stump, only to fall over on the bed, scraping Xix's bandages against the sheets and screaming in pain.

“Fuck!”

Saph closes her eyes, her face a mask at this point. She doesn't say anything now, and you stare at her.

Eyes dart away, you can't keep looking at her, “This doesn't change what I'm doing with you guys, right?”

“No.”

“Don't suppose a prosthesis is within your budget, is it?”

“Well within. Just tell us what you want.”

“I'll think about it.” You recover yourself and walk out of Xix's makeshift treatment room. If anything you rather just be back in your own apartment.

You slide into the corner of the living room, slouching against the wall miserably as you stare at a blank television screen for some time, the reflection of your own broken, mangled body staring back at you.

At first there's an emptiness, a persistent monicker of disbelief. But then it squirms and wiggles inside you. The pestering thought that you'll never be the same again. First it was an eye, now, your dominan t hand. What'll it be next? A leg? Your fucking dick?

A sudden burst of rage and you reach for the remote, to turn it on and erase the image, yet one again you fuck up, reaching for it with the missing arm instead. A silent throb of violence works its way down your throat as you switch hands.

Flipping it over to the news you hear report of a terrorist attack, suspected use of thermite to melt a parking garage... At last they caught your good side?

We should have voted to channel enough mana to activate his glow and see what it looks like. I'm betting that if the rage beast actually did something, his glow will have an element of it added. Either smokey black mixed in with the red or the red will be darker or something.

Dran decided that he wanted to nerf it more after we'd already put enough LIMIT into the alchemy mod train that we couldn't back out. Seraph the Calling. Quest on Akun that never really got that far. It lasted about a day in-universe.

The mc has a very Vein-like powerset, though, and it could easily be tweaked to work for Overhuman.

The QM has already said that they don't care about people pilfering their characters.
>>
Okay, so. I wanted to apologize. Lately I've been having a bit of a problem with dividing my attention between Archeage and Overhuman.

I was just kind of thinking about shit since when it comes to freaky game addictions it's important to think about what's more important to you.

Archeage is not as important to me as Overhuman, and I hope to find the time to extrapolate a bit on that last fight because I felt a lot more was going on, and I felt like it could've been bigger and louder or something.

Sorry about the recent drop in quality and pace. I hope to fix this for you guys because I love Overhuman. Even when it comes time for me to either try to make it into a comic, novel, or whatever have you, I'll still look back on this quest with you guys fondly because I could've never motivated to keep writing this without anon bitching me forward.

Thank you for your time, ladies and gents.
Good night.

Whenever a Vein takes part of their soul out of their body, they expose themselves to potential corruption by Nerve magic or astral beings.

Blink Functions by creating a duplicate mind and body and then destroying the originals, causing the soul to fly to the new mind+body.

Asher's soul literally swam through the rage beast and the magic of the wand as it exploded in order to blink out of he inferno.

>implications
>>
>>35319218
No wonder we are that pissy.
>>
>>35320737
The pissyness could just be from, you know, getting his dominant arm burned off, losing the only magic item that he got from Dorothy that was actually good, that he's in a fuckton of pain, and that he keeps reaching for things with his no-longer-there arm.

If he was going throwing shit and spazzing out, I could see mood being an indicator of some change, but I think he's actually being rather un-pissy when compared to how I would have expected Asher to react to this kind of thing.

What I'm thinking is going to happen is that the Rage Beast bonded to the chunk of his soul that's housing Pyromancy, so the more he uses Pyromancy in a fight, the madder he'll get.
>>
>>35320809
I wonder what implications it would have if we now always cast the "wand fiend",
>>
>>35320843
That if we end up fighting a plant wizard, we're kinda fucked unless we want can Alchemy them all to death without it getting mad.

>>35320809
>What I'm thinking is going to happen is that the Rage Beast bonded to the chunk of his soul that's housing Pyromancy, so the more he uses Pyromancy in a fight, the madder he'll get.
Asher is turning into a r63 Burnscar if that's true.
>>
>>35320809
>What I'm thinking is going to happen is that the Rage Beast bonded to the chunk of his soul that's housing Pyromancy, so the more he uses Pyromancy in a fight, the madder he'll get.
Clarifying; I think that mad levels would be proportional to levels of burn caused by pyromancy. As burn goes down, mad goes down.
>>
>>35320919
She'd be more like a vein in this setting, but I can see it.
>>
>>35320843
I hope it only locks the wand effects onto Fiend. If it's locked onto all pyro and hydro spells, that would be horrible. Ice would be useless if we're forced to apply the wand effects to all casts. Water would be all caustic and shit. Pyro and Hydro would both be unable to do non-lethal applications. I guess that's ok since Legna is a way better shield than Ice ever was, and it's not like we really ever use hydro for much of anything anyway. Geo is (usually) better for restraining and Alchemy should be able to pick up the slack.

Ehh... It'd be really annoying at first, but we could deal.
>>
>>35320809
So for Morgans healing what kind of sacrifice do we need?
And would It be enough for us to just take a day off and empower her to the point where she could heal back our arm.
We could go into the woods and stab a few deers for blood or something. And take the burn. possibly even heal our eye. and since we're going to be exhausted we could talk to faust then.
>>
>>35321157
I don't see the point in healing our eye and arm. Having the eye stay gone means that we can get astral sight to be on at the same time as normal sight if we work on it a bit more.

Growing the arm back would be a waste of time since we want to end up replacing a ton of body parts with alchemy+summoning parts anyway.

Also, growing an arm back is going to be expensive as fuck. I'd not be surprised at all if she just straight up can't do it. The vast majority of bones cant even regrow limbs.
>>
>>35321208
>I don't see the point in healing our eye and arm. Having the eye stay gone means that we can get astral sight to be on at the same time as normal sight if we work on it a bit more.

I don't think thats how it works. Astral seems to be more like a 3rd eye. not something that takes over our missing eye.

>Growing the arm back would be a waste of time since we want to end up replacing a ton of body parts with alchemy+summoning parts anyway.

I understand getting the practice. But if anything strengthening our arm would be better and MUCH faster than creating a WHOLE new arm.

>Also, growing an arm back is going to be expensive as fuck. I'd not be surprised at all if she just straight up can't do it. The vast majority of bones cant even regrow limbs.

I am sure she can do it. She regenerates from nothing just needs the materials/flesh. And the power to do it. Even just doing 2 inchs every chance she gets would be progress.
Using the dagger in fights is not something we normally do. But if we could use it on a few people I am sure Morgan would have the energy and materials to the eye/arm.

>But if anything strengthening our arm would be better and MUCH faster than creating a WHOLE new arm.
It actually wouldn't. The entire basis for the modification Asher is going to be doing is designing new parts with Summoning, and then making them real with Alchemy.
He can't edit an already existing human limb. The editing is all going to take place while it's still an astral construct.

>I am sure she can do it. She regenerates from nothing just needs the materials/flesh. And the power to do it. Even just doing 2 inchs every chance she gets would be progress.
I don't know. Dran confirmed that she can't fix Emilia. Maybe a womb is more magically difficult to fix or something, but she had a bitch of a time with just a pair of popped eardrums. Even if she can do it, there is no way it would be cheaper than making a new arm.

To increase the power of our summons, what are the requirements?
Who can help us with these things?
Would it be worth a visit to Dorthy to see if she has something to improve our knowledge of upgrading summons? Improving contracts*Morgan*
And does anyone know how this includes improving small aspects of a summon like for Morgan increasing her healing ability?
While for Legna she has various aspect

Increasing the power of a summon is a combo of increasing their legend and funneling more energy into them. To increase their legend, you gotta do shit with em. Like if we had Donneth drop a blizzard on NYC and he hunted people to spread terror. That'd pump up his potential. How much power the summoner can channel into them depends on their grade. Obviously, higher grade summoning can channel more power into a summon. Anyone can help with the legend aspect, but Asher needs to get higher summoning himself to put more power into them. I guess another summoner or a familiar could probably help with putting more energy into a summon if we really needed it, though.

Legna is easy to mod, it actually happens passively, because of what she is. She's a generic not-yet-a-valkyrie with no legend of her own.
Donneth is slightly tougher to mod because he was a member of a group, wendigos, which has an established generic set of features for all members. That said, he didn't have any legend or name which made him stand out as an individual.
Morgan is a true mythos. She has her own established legend and it has some oomph behind it. She would be a massive pain to modify.

You're right with the eye. I would be interested into looking into astral with our good eye too. Could let us see better in astral. And If we're going to start experimentation with summoning/alchemy We need to be precise and I am sure getting a better view of everything in astral would be nice.

Think we could incorperate the bullet/flame suit into a new arm that looks exactly like a human arm? * I don't want a grey arm * when we walk around we couldn't hide in plain sight because we have a fucking grey arm. lol
And in the summer walking around with long sleeve shit and gloves doesn't look to natural.

And with your points for the arm. Think we should put the points into alchemy, we should have more than enough summoning to make an arm with most/everything we want. But we need to have the know how to connect it to our body/make it look natural.

I honestly think we should go aspect of steel with Legna
>>
>>35321540
I agree. She's a fantastic tank.

>>35321540
>>35321543
Also, all that tanking she did during the explodey man fight already gave her a bit of 'xp' in the steel path.

Win - win

Yup also steel should be increasing the strength of her sword. Along with the durability of the shield.

So long as we do a good job with her. I wonder what we may get next from Odin.

He's so going to laugh at us.
>>
>>35321571
We could just stick with Legna and buff her up as high as possible instead of trying to 'trade up'. Her legend being linked to ours would make her more easy to work with than most other summons and it's not like we can't make her strong. Even Donneth could get tougher than Asmadei if he gets enough of a legend behind him, and now is supposedly the time when legends are able to be made

It's a matter of talking to Faust at this point. Dran said that he has some idea about how to go about the alchemy+summoning mods we want to do.

From what Dran's been saying, though, it looks like we're going to need some sort of life magic to pull off any sort of modding with any degree of competency. He's confirmed that there's a person in Zeitgeist who has a life magic, so if we politely ask (beg and promise favors in return), we could use the 1LIMIT we have left over in order to learn it.

>>35321532
Incorporate the 'dress up' suit into it and BAM! - Skin can change appearance like a squid.
>>
>>35321673
I think the suits were like giant "PLEASE ALCHEMY US" billboards.
>fireproof
>bulletproof
>go-fast
>invisibility
>superficial shapeshifting

There's no way Dran didn't see us trying to Alchemy those things. If we can figure out how to make some homunculi that have those abilities, we can make our own army to throw into the clusterfuck with Daedalus' cyborgs and Echidna's clones.
