Previously:
San Diego is wiped out by a tidal wave, a young man caught in the deluge as the city is erased by what some might consider the very wrath of god in a world with a sky of endless colors. Snatched from the brunt of the wave, the young man faces an inhuman creature of humanoid form that strikes out his eye to deliver onto him the gift of magic by means of the followers.

Praise be to Susej they say. These followers.

Selfish in his means of survival, a young man rallies with these people for his own safety as the government seeks to keep the truth of the world under wraps, that magic exists and that people like the followers are throwing it into chaos.

Sent on a mission to liberate people captured for conscription based on their awakening to magic, he journeys with others to meet with a woman planted for this very purpose, finding adversity on the way.

Having left a trail all too easy to follow, he's been captured and taken to the very place he'd been looking to gain access, though not exactly on his own terms...

Recently rescued by unknown allies, the young man takes on a new alias “Faust” to help him lay low.

You are Faust, welcome to Over(human)Limit S2

I hope we figure out what the fuck happened to the necklace. I don't like that that thing is just floating around in the background being ominous.

Four Days before the show...

Finishing breakfast, you splash some water on your face and brush your teeth, staring tiredly into the bathroom mirror. Place is sterling save for whatever you've done to it of late. A bit of spellwork ensures that it's easily cleaned, the burn doesn't really bother you anymore when it comes to something like this. It's more like a little itch now to tell you that you're using magic. Really, it's only bad when you use it for something big, especially something that you'd never really tried before.

Swirling the water in your mouth, you spit the rinse our into the sink and switch over to astral vision. In an array of realistic color you can see yourself. One eye, the other dimly alight with power gleaming through an eyepatch that Saph had been gracious enough to give.
Legna stands beside you, shield worn and sword sheathed at her side. Unlike Donneth and Morgan, it seems that she's content to always stand beside you.

“You watch me while I sleep too, I take it?”

(Of course.) She answers as though it's common sense. (How else would you sleep when you only have one eye to close?)

A grin worms its way across your face as you can't help but to find her cold yet honest demeanor amusing. Sounds like a smartass, but she's not got a sarcastic bone, whatever qualifies, about her.

Emilia thought she was interesting at least. If Fara were still around, she might've gotten a bit jealous.

“So, anything you have to tell me? Duties? Concerns? Other little comments?”

(I offer counsel as needed or when appropriate... You should floss. There's a piece of apple skin in your teeth.)

Your tongue finds the piece, and you wiggle it out with a little line of floss, “Thanks.”

The amulet and also to find out what the fuck Marcus's deal is.

I don't really care if we have the amulet returned to us, honestly it's probably preferable that we don't get it back yet, but I just want to know what the hell happened to it.
>>

>[] Visit Hydra and talk to Gertrude for a bit.

Here's an idea for a thing that we would could do later:

>Astral "spidey sense" ward program made with summoning.
Since it's confirmed that summoning-based spell programs can monitor the astral for us, we should be able to set something up that will warn us if a spell is about to go off on us and automatically throw up a ward if it looks blockable. If it's a really big spell, it blares a warning siren right into our brain to let us know to Blink away fast. Potentially we could get the thing set up to differentiate between different spells. Things like the suggestion spells that Morgan and Violet use would be very good to have automatic defenses against.
>>
>>35253938
Is there any reason that we wouldn't be able to do all of those in 4 days or is this more of a pick the order type thing?

I'd like to do Saph first, then Gertrude if nothing else comes up first, the Dorothy. I wouldn't be against asking her for contract advice since the whole "she isn't out to get you" thing.

Okay, updated Contract's with Legna's. Going to revamp the other Summons' little things with the same format as hers.

I'm not sure which one I like most. Was tempted to start clamoring for Light, because some of the stuff you can pull with Light magic is pretty damn cool, but Steel would probably be good too. Wind is also good, I just don't like it as much.

I'm gonna wait on that until Dran gives us an explanation about what they mean.

Finding yourself in wanting when it comes to your purpose, Zeitgeist's purpose, you check in on Saph and ask her about some of the things you'd like to know. She lets you ask all your questions first before seeming a bit thoughtful and calling the others from Malevolence and Benevolence for a little meeting.

Emilia motions for you to sit beside her on the floor before one of the couches. Hesitant at first, you brush off the unease and slide in beside her. She lays her head on your shoulder, and you catch the scent of some minty conditioner. It's nice.

Tony sits on the couch, knees in and rather proper and orderly, Death Blade Knife, sprawls out, making sure to be on the total opposite of echo, and Gertrude sits alone in the middle against a wall.
The old woman's still got that unnatural youth about her, looks a lot less like shit too since Hydra gave her the tranquilizer for Red Nurse. Mess still seems to have torn her up more than a little, she constantly glances at you, only to look away when you glare back.

The others get a bit restless as Saph takes a few breaths, drinks a little water and begins.

“So, I may have been a bit hasty in saying that the goal was for me to become a god, no that's not necessarily the goal. In fact, it's more of a means. It's a means that any one of us with enough potential can attain.” She examines everyone's expressions, content to find that they're all focused on her. You know she isn't done yet, she hasn't gotten to the important parts.

“So, what we aim to do is the systematic elimination of those responsible for all the world's problems through whatever means are necessary or most efficient. This includes some of the big businesses such as Generic Motor, Floormart, Britan Petroleum... Big businesses like that that take and take while barely giving back. What we want is a world where everyone is equal.” She pauses again, a finger to her lips as she thinks.
>>
>>35254617
Seems pretty self explanatory for the most part. Unless you want him to explain in exacting detail what each path unlocks and locks out, it shouldn't take much more than a couple in-quest fights where we see how she operates to make a choice.
>>
>>35254643

“I would become a gentle goddess, ceasing to be human to attain that. Though these big businesses are not the ones that are necessarily in the way.” Saph takes another drink of water and sits down, glancing at Marcus over her shoulder, visibly shaking for a moment.
“The Illuminati are controlling people through the media and in ways that they've steadily been losing grip on for the past year, Knights Templar runs Overwatch and various other organizations to inhibit magic used by peoples such as ourselves... But most of all, the Templars aim to prevent any new gods from being born. They may be one of our greatest enemies.

“What about the Followers?” You interject, receiving a slight look from the waitress, some recognition in her eyes. “Where do they fit in? What exactly have they done?”

Saph raises a finger at the question, “They're a movement for change. When I first heard of them, honestly... I thought they were doing something good. Something amazing. “ She folds her hands together, taking on a very solemn air.
“But their actions as guided by the one called Susej have had an unbelievable death toll. The chaos they provide allows us to move discretely. However we will need to put a stop to them for the good of the world. The civil wars they inspire have eaten away countries.” She closes her eyes and takes a deep breath for a moment's recollection.
>>
>>35254659
So the waitress finally recognizes us huh? That could get awkward
>>
>>35254659

“India's population has dropped by somewhere around three hundred million since the day the aurora appeared. Susej's guidance lead the caste-less to rebel, kill, and war against their leaders. There's so much destruction there that you wouldn't know it as anything but a wasteland with a wet season and dry season.
Africa's various countries have either warred with each other or turned their attention to Europe and the U.N. They constantly try to draw innocent people into the conflict.
Russia and China have shut down communications, South Korea is gone, North Korea's gone on a warpath since the followers diverted the U.S's attention.”

Saph copens her eyes, tears beading at the corners, glittering down her face as though she's seen the horrors. “The world's gone crazy and someone needs to stop it. Someone needs to take control, to drive it to order and peace once again. It'll be hard, and I know that it's asking a lot... But we have power. We need to do something. People need something to believe in and all those other gods out there?” She smiles bitterly, face flushed red with restrained anger.
“They're just adding fuel to the fire.”

You feel Legna offer an inclination of her head as she partially manifests, “Pardon, those like us do as we are expected. I was born for war, so war I shall; for your creed or perhaps another. Do not blame the other side for your love of violence.”

Saph offers a glare back, “Faust. Another new creature of legend?”

You shrug, a sarcastic grin, “What can I say? Can't quit 'em.”

Emilia laughs a bit.

“Besides, you commune with Gaia and Legna's done nothing wrong.” You add.

“True,” Saph relents, “Can't turn away help after all... Any questions?”

I wanted to ask what the deal is with Marcus, why she seemed to think he's such a fucking monster when we saw her in the divination, but he's here now since she went and called a pow-wow and I don't think it'd be a good idea. If he leaves, or we get a moment alone with her, ask about that.

Ask her about this whole god thing in more detail. Like, what in the world does she actually plan to do? Get people to believe hard enough that it just happens? Is that was Susej is trying to do?
Maybe also bring up the thing about how Jesus was the one that instigated the 2000 years of no-magic-allowed and ask if she knows whether or not he's trying to work off that somehow. Susej=Jesus(backwards), and he's trying to bring more and more magic to the world (opposite of what big J did), so I dunno. Seems like a thing that could be worked into the conversation.
>>
>>35254777
>>[] Yeah...(write in. Some may be asked by other characters.~)
If the Illuminati are controlling the media, then I can assume they also have ties to these Evil Corporations you mentioned.
Knights Templar, like the medieval knights themselves? I take it its more than swords and armor and Overwatch backing them up if they're in the business of killing aspiring gods. I guess God got tired of playing nice with others huh

“So, when't our first non-fashion related mission anyway? I mean, clothes are cool and all but I think I'm actually starting to get stir crazy after a couple days,” you bush back your hair, shaking your head, “I don't know why, but i'm starting to go stir crazy after a few days here. Maybe it's the white walls?”

“Definitely the white walls.” Tony adds in, a private chuckle on his side.

Saph sighs a bit but smiles anyway. At least your earnest, right?
“We'll need to see where you're all at. We're looking to assault Mount Olympus, the facility used as a base by NATO'S, a.k.a. The templar's stronghold. It's where they house both Echidna and Daedalus, two of the most powerful people in the world right now.”

“I've heard of both from books, and Echidna from Xix-”

“Xix?” Demon Sharp Knife asks, and you glare back at him.

“The silver haired girl you nitwit.”

He recoils a bit at your sudden remark, and stays firmly shit the fuck up. Best that he doesn't have balls anyway.

Saph ignores the exchange, “Echidna is the mother of the child-like and monstrous clone soldiers we've been having to deal with. Her monstrous birth rate's given Overwatch a virtually unlimited number of free soldiers.
Then Daedalus, a genius inventor like the namesake. He's created cyborg soldiers that boast incredible powers that are borderline science fiction while maintaining the ability to awaken.
The problem with the mechs is that they bear aura protection against nerve magic. That, and he's constantly upgrading them based on any little flaw that he might find or a way that they were destroyed that he suddenly sees how to fix...

They need to be removed.”

Henry raises a hand, “Excuse me, so about this deity thing. Exactly what do you mean to do exactly? Do you plan to have people worship you?”

Saph smiles to the question, “There's more than one way to become a God. Though yes, believe would be an easy one. Eloc is already starting on some propoganda. First we discredit the others, spread word about a Blue Goddess, keep it going from there and make things happen. With the internet even a plague goddess can get a following...”

“So was Susej trying to become a God or something?” You ask alloud, focusing all eyes on you for a moment.

Saph clears her throat, “Susej... Didn't need to become a god. Honestly, his actions live on in the idea;s of his followers. I'd rather not talk about them anymore.

Cassie stares at you with even harder scrutiny.

Everyone files out with well wishes and a dismissal from Saph. Marcus leans in to give her a kiss, but she pulls way. A hand reaches around her and pulls her in. It's a kiss on the cheek, but it seems so forceful.
After he leaves, you let Emilia go too.

There's an uncomfortable silence between the two of you. You've graduated from the floor to a couch, while Saphira's just sitting in a simple chair like someone being interrogated.

You've seen her without her mask before, but never alone, and never when she let her guard down. She's been more friendly with everyone- and not just that thing she does. She's been a bit more herself.
But with Marcus...

“So. I've been wondering. Between you and Marcus. Who's the one in control? What's going on?”

Saphira stares at you for a few seconds, smiles piteously, and then answers, “It's complicated.”

“That's a standard response for people that aren't aspiring to become a god. I'll ask again, what's going on between the two of you? Honestly, it's been bugging me. I remember when I first scryed you guys by accident, I got something along the lines of your ambient thoughts. He's all about you, yet you see him as a monster. What is there that I should know about?” Your voice is stern and yet a bit detached. It's not really your business to get intimately involved with them anyway- but with the way the world is monsters can hide in human skin.

She draws her legs in, and looks down, her curly auburn hair hanging partway in her face, her eyes thoughtful as they concentrate on the ground, “Right. Our fates are tied in a way... But I can't tell you everything. Not yet.”

“Whatever is enough for now. Out with it.”

“I met Marcus during a very strange time in his life, “You can already tell that she's skirtting an important detail there. “I'd just become disillusioned with the Templars and I needed someone strong. So terribly strong that they couldn't dare to come after me before I was ready...”
>>
>>35255789

You smile, “So a classic case of betraying one group for another. Is this why you know so much?”

Saph looks up, “I still have friends on the inside. Depends on for how long, I get information from time to time. It's part of how we knew where you were. The other world's directions would never be so specific.”

“Alright. But then what makes him a monster? Why are you afraid of him and why does it seem like you're not even the one in control anymore?”

“During that very strange time in his life...” There she goes again, “He did some very bad things. After he fell in love with me, he swore he'd never do them again. But I still remember. And I know that he still thinks of it sometimes...”

“Cut the shit. You know that the old me was damn near curbstomping children to get mothers to awaken. What the hell did the guy do?” You let your irritation get the best of you.

Saph looks at you, her eyes say something, they plead, but it's just for a moment, returning to glimmering hesitation unfitting for an aspiring demigoddess.
“He is the Devouring Flame... Before I brought him back to sanity he abandoned the military upon awakening and in his madness, he ate his own comrades to fuel his own infernal power...”

You stare, bewildered and speechless. Somewhere in the astral, a cold hunter laughs and a Faerie joins in.
“So you're saying that we're working with a cannibal?”

Saph's face breaks, the strong woman suddenly shattering as tears worm down her face, “You can't tell anyone. I give this as a directive. You cannot tell anyone unless their life is in danger. He won't break his promise to me, I know. He loves me too much. He won't do it again. But he kisses me with that mouth. That mouth that...

Ate people. Fuck. You recline, massaging your temples. Donneth is one thing, a clear demon and monster that eats people... But... You can imagine it...
>>

Marcus slips up beside someone with that ungodly speed of his, slips a burning finger into their head, frying their brain, and then proceeding to tear them apart with his teeth.
“That why you let Gertrude live? And why you had him decide her fate?”

She's calmed down by now, “Yes. I decided that he'd never do that again for him through his affection. I couldn't decide that she would die or not, I left that up to Marcus.”

“And Marcus delegated the decision to me and Xix.” You find your smiles again. Like a dog, he just did as his master chose to. Or maybe he was uncomfortable with deciding too?
“So who's in control here? Do you actually love him or something?”

Saph doesn't answer. You repeat the question and she just seems more distant, less likely to respond.

In silence, you stand up and walk over to her, taking a knee to look up at her as she sits there, hazel eyes marred by bloodshot crying, her gaze affixed on nothing in particular.
You're choked up for words to the point that you stand instead and clap her shoulder with a hand.
Can't look her in the eye as you say this, “Look. I appreciate that you told me. Would've been in deep shit if this just came out of the blue. Now I can at least try to think of some kind of contingency...”

Yo pause, and she relaxes some, “I have something to ask. About our fates being intertwined...”

“What about it?”

“I'm going to die.”

“What?” You look down at her. She's not looking back at you. She wipes her face with the back of a hand.

“I'm going to die. Not now, but eventually. When that happens, Marcus is going to go insane again. He doesn't have anyone else that he trusts. I need you to be someone that he trusts.”

You remove your hand from her, “What do you mean?”

“I want you to be his friend. Yours and our situation are pretty similar.”

“Mine?”

“With Emilia. You might be able to understand him a bit.” She lowers her head again, “He's strong. Stopping him with brute force is impossible because he's a predator, a killer,” She shakes her head, “Not a fighter.”

“He'll strike when people sleep, ambush them in confrontation to kill in one stroke. If I wasn't certain that I was destined to die, then I would've just used him to eliminate everyone. Necessary.”
Finally, she looks up at you, “That's where you and the others come into the plan.” When I die, Eloc will certainly continue. And if Marcus goes mad again and betrays the zeitgeist then we'll need two replacements...” She sighs, “I just hope it doesn't come to that.”

I swear to god, Asher is fucking cursed or something. Aura of death and all that shit.

I'm still going to advocate a moonbase just in case we need to fuck off.

When/where did you make that comment?
Because yeah.

How Asher dealt with Emilia/Fara scored a lot of points with Saph.

She's sure that the dying thing is legit? This isn't one of those vague prophecy things where she sees "end of your human life" and she thinks it's death but it's actually ascension?

This begs the question of how in the everloving fuck we manage to get this guy to trust us. It's not likely that we'll ever get into a situation where he's fucked and we have to save him.
If we're ever in a situation where we save Saph, he could just as easily come to resent us and become more weird and get all super possessive of Saph.
>>
I'm like Tony more and more with every thread. The whole "serial killer" thing just looks less and less like a major issue the more I learn about everyone else.
>>
>>35256282
Well aren't we supposed to go on missions with the guy later? Score some point then
>>
>>35256294
Everyone doesn't go as one huge group. Marcus does almost all of his missions solo. We'd have to first demonstrate that Asher is able to keep up with him, not fuck things up in some way, and is actually needed in some way for us to get brought along.
>>
>>35256307
>not fuck things up in some way
And I really wanted to go on missions with him but looks like that aint happening

“I'll do it.” You say as though signing some sort of covenant. “Don't know how, but I'll try.”

“That's all I can hope for.” Saphira says and you shrug.

“Best pray to whatever gods or goddesses you believe in, because it's going to take a goddamn intervention or something.” You make to leave, stopping at the door, “It's nice that you trusted me with something like this.”

Stepping out, you take a deep breath. What in the fuck did you just agree to?

[Three days until the fashion show.]
I had this prewritten. Figured i'd get it out of the way.

Today you decided to visit Dorothy in her shop after breakfast. With Legna in tow, while Morgan and Donneth did Odin knows what else.

Solace greets you with a single golden eye to acknowledge your presence before stretching out and curling into a ball of black fur beside the entry. “Be mindful of the other patrons.”

You see a man ahead of you, talking to Dorothy at the counter. He's missing an arm and seems to be quite weathered and more than a bit irritable. He turns to look at you, and his face presses into a hard smile. “You. How are you doing?” It's a strained gaze of recognition.

It takes you a moment, but all the hatred surges, gushing through your brain at the months of torment you went through. It all comes through the bound filter, as you grin, teeth exposed and pressed firm, “Quite well Father, you hold any sermons lately?”

It's that damned priest. What the hell is he doing here? Shouldn't he be-

“Oh, do you two know each other? How lovely!” Dorothy brings her hands together, a pleasant smile springing across her face, “Shall I have Solace fetch some tea?”

The Priest turns to the witch, a concerned, yet still grinning look on his face, “Pardon me, but I really must be going by now, important business, really.”
>>
>>35256357

“Doesn't seem like the man wants tea Dorothy. I'll show him out.”

Dorothy leers at Solace for a moment before turning her attention to the other patron, “Well Father Wolfgang, Just sign here, you'll owe another service. As per usual nothing I ask will necessarily threaten your livelihood. “

The man looks back at you, and grabs the pen, signing off on the exchange as though he were selling his soul to the devil, which he very may well be if he believes that witches are the devil's brood or something.

He passes you with a polite tip of his head, “Good to see you doing well. I look forward to meeting you again.” There's a clearly pressed tension in his voice. Fake politeless that's clearly hostility.

You look back, observing his astral. Where he's missing an arm in the real, it exists in the other world like a phantom limb, red and hazardous. A dark red and broken halo rests upon his head somewhat like horns, emitting a violent gleam like the wrath of God.

“I'm not with them anymore.” You say as though it might make a difference.

Wolfgang pauses, back rigid as he looks back to you, “Excuse me?”

“The Followers, I've left them. Your blessing gave me a lot of time to think. I won't be running with their kind anymore.” Your gaze shifts in part to Legna, whom stands at your front and side, “I've got new friends and they're looking to make the sacrifice of a few for the good of the many.

The Pastor looks back, some honest amusement in his face, “Thought you looked a bit different. The fallen still has a grip, but your strings are cut. Perhaps our next meeting could be amicable. Hope for you yet.”

Yeah, whatever. “Have a nice day,” You say still with a forced smile.
>>
>>35256367
“You too.” The pastor's smile is but a grin on the face of someone you spent months trying not to hate. He leaves through his own door, nothing but darkness as far as you can see. Solace is staring back, knowing and a bit smug.

“We don't show where other guests come from.” Dorothy says, turning your attention back to her.
“Did you have something to come here for?”

"A few things, actually."

>[] The wand is great.
I don't really know if this is a prompt to get more wand-stuff, but I just wanted to say thanks either way. Like that thing I do.
>[] About the contract...
That thing isn't going to hold forever. I'm sure she noticed the blob of bad karma it produced. I'd like some knowledge about how to make it less shoddy and jury-rigged.
>[] Other Mages.

She got any ideas about what to do with it? Just lock it in a warded basement until we git gud at summoning and can just force Asmadei to do our bidding as a way to spite Luci?

Actually going to call it a night here. Dozing a bit between posts.

I'll do a write up later today for Dorothy answering things overall to be posted at the start of the thread at 20:00.

Seeing the future and stuff? What's the deal with that? It legit? It follow the shaky open-to-interpretation future seeing model or is it the more unshakable truth type?
>>

Marcus makes me want to genocide but I just voted to promise to be the dude's friend.

What the fuck was I thinking?
>>
>>35256482
I'm wondering just what the fuck Saph is planning with the goddess propaganda if she's so convinced that she's consigned to death. Is it all just to keep up the illusion that nothing's wrong so that Marcus doesn't flip a cannibalistic shit?
>>
>>35256493
You were probably thinking...

Being superfast fire cannibal isn't his destiny.
>>
>>35256502
Obviously Asher is going to take advantage of it by using blue fire from now on and becoming a goddess.

Honestly, you guys called him this so much that I forgot if I ever gave the guy a name before. I tried to search for it in my archive and couldn't find it so his last name is Wolfgang.

>>35256542
I wanna say Asher'll be fine.
But he won't.

Anything else you wanted to weasel in there?
>>
>>35256482
Is Father Assrape going to go back to Overwatch and eventually tell someone that that kid who done took his arm ended up leaving the Followers? Is Hunter going to find out?
>>
>>35256559

>>
>>35256562
Hunter might.
>>
>>35256559
>Anything else you wanted to weasel in there?
A few things. In sorta-order of most to least important.

>Actually try to use Ignorance a few times so that we know how it functions in the real, possibly start work on using the magic it eats to fuel our own, but mostly to just get more used to it.
>Work the kinks out of the fire circle ward and integrate it into Knight as a toggleable mode.
>(Hell)Fire pillar blender like what Asmadei almost killed us with
>Lava generation via some combo of pyro/geo/alchemy
>Determine the maximum operational range of all of our summons
>Possibly the ice board
>Not optimistic about this one, but aero-perception is something I want eventually to make Alchemy stuff easier when we're making various gasses
>>
>>35256559
>>35256591
Oh, and I forgot to say to dick around with summoning programs and applying them to wards.

Even if it can't apply to wards, just something that beeps at us if it detects a spell would be good so that we don't get nailed by someone making an explosion behind us where we can't see.

Forgot another thing - I wanted to test the upper limits of what we can do with Pyromancy and flex the muscles, so to speak. The only real visible bump in pyro power has been from the wand. I know that Adept /should/ be more powerful than Apprentice all on its own, but we just haven't seen what it is yet and I want to know.
>>
>>35256482
The summons paste is starting to get cluttered somewhat. Increasing the separation between the different summons would help out a lot. Add a line or a bigger space or a ~ like Asher's paste has between the sections. It would help a lot.
>>
If summons and Thought Forms are based on legends and mythos, could Faust summon/create weapons and armor based on summons. Even if he couldn't hold it for long if the legend outclassed his level
Ex.
>Excalibur
>Caladbolg
>Armor of Karna
>Gae Bolg
>Aegis
>Odysseus Bow
>Talaria
>>
>>35256806
Every single time someone has asked something like this, Dran has either been incredibly vague and given a non-answer or he's said no.

He did say that if we got summoning up higher, Morgan -might- be able to procure Excalibur since she got it in her mythos at one point.
>>
>>35256824
Fuck, all I want is a simple one hit kill weapon or at least something magical out the ass people go god damn that shit was awesome
>>
>>35256862
It's kinda pointless to want most of those. Asher's like the artillery piece. Putting him in magic armour and giving him enchanted swords is just stupid.

>something magical out the ass people go god damn that shit was awesome
...
Like creating a giant explosions that turn into fire animals which then maul the target while we sit a couple miles away? Or sending a wendigo knight, fae sorceress, and valkyrie to go murder people for us?

We didn't pick to play a Vein, which is the main magic weapon user class.
>>
>>35256906
so not having something solid not made of magic that a bone could just eat to kill said bone when they get into close range is cool with you
>>
>>35256988
They explicitly are magic and would just get disabled by the bone...
>>
Why not just buy a gun, sure bones can heal but a bullet still hurts
>>
>>35257070
If they were so shit that a gun could do anything to them, then we'd have been better off overloading their invocation capacity with pyromancy.

Having a gun wouldn't necessarily be a bad idea, but I can't for the life of me think of a time where we'd ever want to use the thing without heavily alchemically modifying it first.

She's not telling us the whole story. There is a chance that her death is necessary for her to become a goddess.
>>
>>35258273
I'm almost certain that death is just a part of ascension. Susej "dies" in like 2020 or something (I need to check on it, it's during the Overhuman: Omar Denis epilogue thread), but the way it was written couldn't have screamed "HE AIN'T REALLY DEAD" any harder unless he just didn't 'die' in the first place. This is the dude got into a fistfight with Atlas and was being lazy and blasé about the whole thing like he was making a sandwich. There's no way in hell Violet managed to kill him.

We don't know that for sure. And, even if it is gone from our astral self, we could still make a halo construct spell that boosts our magic if we really wanted one.
