Channeling up some of my...what is it? Some people call it 'ki' and some people call it 'spirit' energy, I'll just go with ki since it's a lot easier to say. I'll be able to use it for...something but I don't know what. I'm confident that whatever I use it for, beast guy over there won't be able to beat me.

I probably won't be able to be him either, but forcing it into a draw seems like the best way to go. Seeing a clawed hand rushing towards my face, I immediately dodge out of the way. The dark spikey beast lets out a snarl as he misses his mark.

That was close, but now that I have my ki channeled. I can probably do something about that.

Channeling ki into my legs is a cinch (Ki: 8/10), I doubt he can see it so I still have my trump card nice and tucked away. I'm not the type to just go an reveal what I could do first, that's just bad strategy. The hulking Werebeast barrels towards me as I finish my channeling. I move out of the way as quickly as I could, almost as if I have super speed.

"So, the little princess has super speed huh?" the Werehedgehog growls...wait he can talk in that form? That's something to know. Out of the corner of my eye I notice the one eyed woman writing something down on her clipboard. I can't help but smile, they both have my abilities wrong.

This definitely gives me an advantage. I practically bounce around the training ring, mentally counting down the time the ki lasts in my legs. Eventually the Werebeast starts shooting his spikes at me after not being able to touch me with his claws for a while.

I quickly manage to dodge out of the way, seeing that the spikes embedded themselves into the blue barrier thing. Geez those things could've freaking killed me.

Well at least I know about them. The Werebeast lets out a laugh "You should see the look on your face! Man if you were scared of me before you must've pissed yourself just now!"

"Anyway this sounds about right." considering that I just happened to be there while I was skipping school like the punk I am I just wanted to try the super hero thing just once...

"Yeah well about that, what was that 'go all out' thing about anyway? Why did Michael shoot those spikes at me?" I ask her. I'm still kind of pissed that he could have killed me or som--

"Michael did go a little too far with that. That was only intended for you, a Junior instructor like Michael should be able to handle abnormals that don't know their powers well." she explains, "We are expected to lay down our lives for the general public so you will endure a lot worse than that."

Was that supposed to motivate me? I give her a look and Dr.Rosemary covers her mouth "I said too much". "Go ahead and go to your dorm now, I'm sure your fellow students are there."

Welp. That's the life of a her--punk. I'm a punk. But still, that wasn't encouraging.

As I head out of Dr.Rosemary's office, I end up catching a whiff of something. Lifting up my arm I start to smell it now, how lady like. I freaking reek, I really need to shower before I do anything else. And so I head off to the dorm after seeing that Michael, Christy and the rest of the students already left the gym.

Well at least nobody will be around to suffer my BO, I quickly head towards the dorm room I was assigned when we first took the grand tour of this place.

Arriving at the room, it appears that my roommate hasn't arrived yet. What's even better is that every room gets their own personal showers. Which is sweet because sharing with a whole building makes everything awkward for me.

I throw off my clothes and head into the glorious hot shower. Man that feels good, I give myself a good scrub because I have no idea how long I've actually been on the bus. I think back to when we first got carted off here.

Most of us were in handcuffs that negated mutant type powers, the guards mistook me as a mutie and gave me the wrong handcuffs but it didn't really matter because they were freaking tight anyway. I was sandwiched between a big sweaty guy that smelled faintly like cheese and a big boobed girl that was there voluntarily, so she had no handcuffs.

After that horrible ride we got checked in and did a tour of the whole campus.

And now I'm here, kinda hungry and I still have the whole room to myself. With only a towel draped around my shoulders I'm almost finished unpacking.

I should focus on the important stuff and that means finishing getting all this crap into my drawers before I head to the cafeteria and eat everything in sight. If there's anything I learned about my Ki powers is that I get really hungry really fast. After making sure my tablet didn't get scoured for content, I hide it somewhere safe, like under my mattress.

I finally get the last of my crap in the drawers when I realized that Dr.Rosemary didn't clarify if we had to wear our school uniforms or just our street clothes? I take out some of my street clothes anyway and put on my bed, pondering about it.

Just then the door opens and the sweetest looking girl with the longest, blondest hair strolls in. Oh, she was one of the other kids that volunteered for this.

She looks at me up and down in shock. I move to use the tower to cover myself, but I figure that probably won't change anything...will it? Who knows

"....Hello." she says.

"Hey." I say back. She just continues staring at me, this is getting a little awkward I feel myself blushing and everything.

After Nadia finally gets out of the shower, we immediately headed towards the cafeteria. The place is huge and filled with all kinds of people. They say the academy accepts Abnormals from 13 to 21 and that's no joke.

This is probably going to be the best place on campus, the all you can eat buffet. With a drawback like mine I can live with this.

As we finally reach an empty table Nadia looks at my full plate--well plates with a curious glance while I look at her nearly nearly empty plate.

"Why do you eat so much? Is this an American thing?" she asks. "Your figure does not match"

I laugh, that is kind of funny. "I'm not really being a glutton. Honest. I usually eat way more than this." I tell her honestly. The first time I completely expended my Ki I ate everything in the fridge and more, it was a horrible experience I refuse to repeat again.

With that I should change the subject "What powers do you have? I was kind of asleep during the demonstrations." I laugh nervously again. That one wasn't my fault either, but she gives me an understanding look and smiles.

"I can manipulate and create ice" she says simply. She demonstrates by grabbing my glass of cola and turning the whole thing into a block of ice. Woah that's cool..well it's going to be cool because she uses ice and... shit, whatever. It's awesome.

One of the monitors notice her doing that immediately and writes her a ticket. "You are in violation of code 36, no using powers outside of the designated areas." she states mechanically. Nadya looks down at her nearly empty plate as if she did something shameful.

"What? We haven't even gotten a rulebook yet." I say.

"Don't make me write you up too." the monitor says as she points at me.

I shut up immediately, this sucks. As soon as the monitor finishes writing Nadya's ticket and giving us both the evil eye she finally goes away.

"This school sucks." I mumble. Nadya smiles at me though and shakes her head "I signed up on my own, I should have known about that."

She says the Capital is nice but you have to watch out for a ton of muggings it seems like that's apart of why she volunteered for this. Family seems like a sore subject for her which is convenient because it is for me too. So we had a mutual avoidance

You're leaning towards general enhancement with the way you fought today. Ki blasts have been spontaneous until recently but they still take up more Ki.
