Welcome to Banished Quest!
You take the role of a young mage labeled a criminal by his people and cast out into the wider world. In the last thread you built a bonfire and convinced Darzi to stick around for a while longer.

You awaken to the sounds of waves crashing against the castle walls and loud snoring. Reluctantly, you crack open an eye only to see Profectus out on the floor a few feet away, his hand grasping a wine bottle. He looks almost exactly like his statue. Mortia is slumped against the base of Skull Kid's statue not far from Profectus, splayed out in a rather unladylike fashion. You don't see anyone else in the hall before you, though as you struggle into a seated position on your throne you notice that Chrys has curled herself up in the adjacent throne.

You push yourself up, surprised to find you're not actually that hungover. Must have been the meal you ate just before you really started drinking. You take a moment to look around and try to find Darzi, Fulvia, and Skull Kid; however, you fail to find anyone save Darzi. She'd sequestered herself away in one of the side rooms you'd built, for some reason. In retrospect, beds might have been a welcome addition. You've little idea where Skull Kid and Fulvia might have gone. You even check the beach, but they're simply nowhere to be found. Hopefully they've simply returned to the temple.

You must've remembered to put the bonfire out last night, or the tide must have gotten it when it rolled in, because all that remains is a pile of wet ashes and a few burnt logs. Judging by the sun, it's about noon. No enemy host has camped itself outside your walls. The sea is a beautiful, sparkling blue. The day is yours to make of it what you will.

I was worried ( ;_;)

You reach out to Fulvia via the brooches while making your way back inside the castle. {You and Skull Kid okay?} Her response comes after only a moment. {We have returned to the temple. Both of us are safe, Skull Kid has gone to sleep in his room and I am currently reading in the library.}

Huh, so Fulvia does do something besides sit around all day. {Did you notice anything odd in town? Chrys and I noticed an army on the march the night before.} You slowly build up a levitating orb of water above Skull Kid's face, chilling it to just above freezing. Fulvia responds before you get a chance to douse your companion. {Yes, actually. The fortress seems to be hosting a large number of heavily armed and armored men. Most of them are common soldiers, though I did notice several displaying the markings of nobility. The fortress does not have enough room to house them all, so they have made camp in the fortress grounds.}

You frown, letting the orb of water fall onto Profectus' face. He bolts upright, spluttering and gasping for air. It takes him a few minutes to catch his breath but once he does he wheels on you. “Gods damn you, Mik! I was right in the middle of a dream! I had these two hookers on either side of me and they were-”

Mortia interrupts him before he can finish. “We don't want to hear about your... fuckin'-” She yawns, stretching her arms out above her and arcing her back. “What time is it?”

You shrug. “It's around noon. Fulvia and Skull Kid have already returned to the temple. We're going to need to be careful getting back, there is supposedly an army camped outside.” You start to make your way towards Chrys, but she stretches out before you can mess with her, rolling gracefully off of her throne and rubbing sleep from her eyes. That just leaves you with Darzi.

>>
Mortia calls out from behind you. “Wait, what constitutes an army?” You forward the question to Fulvia, and she responds after a moment. {I think it was perhaps two thousand men strong, at most. I heard mention of ships on the way with more men and provisions as well. I doubt that an army this small would be a sufficient invasion force, though it would be a sizable army of raiders.}

You shout back as you enter Darzi's room. “About two thousand men. Ships on the way with more.” You don't hear her response, but your shouting seems to have woken Darzi up. You can't help but frown. You only got to torment one of your companions. That's not fair. “Come on, get up. We've got an army to sneak past.”

She sits up. “An army? What? Why?” You fill her in briefly on what you know so far. She scowls, though the affect is lessened when she yawns not a moment later. “Well, we need to do something about your scar then. If we're sneaking you past an army, don't want to attract any undue attention.

So what did you think of the Fulvia circuit board proposal? Basically, all we need are sheets of copper, etching tools, and the design of transistors. Than we can use them for all sorts of useful things.

For all ya'all not in the know, circuit boards act as the single-function brain of many electronics. They send or stop electrical signals that initiate the movement or actions of mechanisms in a certain way. Just think of them as little brains programmed to operate a single reflex. Transistors allow modification of signals, so one circuit board or printed circuit board can operate many signals for many functions. While they're not necessary for a circuit board to work, they make them infinitely more flexible. So much more flexible that their invention was hailed as the "Greatest Invention of the 20th Century." Likely this is where we'll run into difficulties as most of them are made of uber delicate silicon. Hopefully Skull Kid can help with that.

You think about her proposal for a moment, and then nod in agreement. You've been putting this off for far too long. “You're right. I'll need someone to slice off my scar so that I can heal over the wound.” You reach into your cloak, withdrawing your ornate dagger and passing it handle first towards Darzi.

She frowns. “I'm... not feeling particularly eager to slice open your face, Mikhael. Handle it yourself or get someone else to do it, but don't look at me.” You sigh, flipping the dagger once in the air so you can catch it by the handle. “Fine. I'll ask Chrys to do it. She was the one who did it last time.” Darzi doesn't seem entirely happy with this solution but she doesn't raise her voice to speak against it.

You wander into the main hall to see that Profectus and Mortia have hauled themselves to their feet, Chrys isn't anywhere to be found. With that in mind, you continue on, out of the grand hall and onto the beach. You still don't see Chrys anywhere. Confused, you turn your attention to Skull Kid and Mortia, who've trailed along behind you. “Where did Chryssa go?”

Mortia gestures in a vague sort of way towards a distant rocky outcrop. “She said she was going to get changed. We should probably do the same.” Profectus, garbed only in a loincloth as he is, nods his head in agreement. Taking a look at your own self, you suppose dressing would be appropriate. Pants and a shadowy, semi-incorporeal cloak don't exactly constitute inconspicuous clothing.

(1/2)
>>
>>35011502
That was an easy way to gauge how many lurkers are present...
>>
By the time you've pulled on your underrobes, monk robes, and redonned your cloak. Chrys has finished dressing herself and rejoined the party where as Darzi has wandered off towards the rocky outcrop to dress herself. You approach Chrys dagger in hand, noticing that she tenses up as you draw near. However, she relaxes when you point the blade towards the scar on your cheek. “I think I'm finally at a level where I could completely remove my scar, so I was hoping you might cut away what is left.”

She nods her head, taking the dagger from your hands. When she speaks, her voice is as emotionless as ever. “Gladly, you have been putting off this task far too long. I would recommend biting down on something and sitting down.” You pull a rag out of your cloak, stuffing it in your mouth and biting down hard before taking a seat in the sand. You take a moment to numb your cheek only slightly before Chrys presses the blade against your flesh.

You're not going to lie, it hurts. She's not carving away as much skin as she did last time, but it still hurts. You can hear Mortia, shocked and just the slightest bit horrified speaking to Profectus. “What is this nonsense, then? Don't you think it's a tad early for facial mutilation?” Profectus' response is immediate. “Too early? For facial mutilation? You know, individually all those words make sense, but when you string them together like that... I just don't understand.” Once the scar tissue has been removed Chrys stands up straight, flap of skin in hand. She absentmindedly tosses it out into the sea, while you focus on preventing any excess bleeding.

I think we may have just focused more than just our face, and fixed any scars on our body. And any small old injuries or old scar tissue we never got around to inside the body.

Pro tip - Study on what we learned about the body. Should give us a +2 at least to healing. And should be a +2-3 on damaging things, cause we will know the weak points.

A couple months to a year.
>>
>>35011976
That is a close second for me.
>>
>>35011987
Crazy meditations when?
>>
I think we should try to get 5 more insights in fire, then do something crazy in order to get Grandmaster in water and fire at the same time.

Remember that one book where there was a guy speculating on fire and how he thought it might be complementary with water? We should try to continue his studies, creating napalm, or fire that doesn't give off heat. We could also try to do things that are impossible, like maintain a fire while underwater, or maintain a stream of water that is far above boiling temperature.

Working on controlling both fire and water at the same time would not only be cool as fuck, but also incredibly difficult. I imagine the kind of control necessary to do it would be worthy of grandmaster in one or both of the elements.
>>
>>35012030
Presumably when we have time to spare to do something extremely dangerous. Personally I think the Entity takes priority. And that has its own whole host of issues.
>>
>>35012030
When we get the time.

>>
>>35012030
After the Shahsination and the dead god I think.
They're pretty much the two big things.

I honestly don't think we're gonna be able to grandmaster anytime soon with all we've got on our plate.
>>
>>35012049
While i don't support that, i do support getting Master in Fire before getting Grandmaster in Water.

YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE!
>>
At least we're following proper chinese cartoon logic.

That is, the beach episode is the penultimate episode to a twist that causes one of the main members of the cast to die.
>>
So it seems like we should be able to get at least 3 elements to Grandmaster, maybe 4.

I'm thinking

Water (obviously)
Fire (for the Egg)
Metal (for Insanity)

Then possibly Nature if we can because Ultimate Point Defense and Offense.

In that order too.
>>
>>35012066
>When we don't have to worry about a fucking army at our doorstep.
why would we worry? The only problem I see would be nobility recognizing us. and with the old guy vouching for us, that while we're at the temple no one will hunt us.
I doubt anyone even the shah would do something to anger him be desecrating the temple.

I think we should learn more metal and the effect slow. Sooner rather than later. every time we meditate which should be at least 1-2 a week. we make a mental wall and keep reinforcing it. before we meditate. so nothing crazy we see increases our insanity.

Third verse same as the first.

All theory, obviously. But shenanigans abound wherever incorporeal visages of death invade ones dreams to tell someone they're going to kill an important political figure.

>>35012375
It's a shame we can't just talk to the dead.
>>
The flesh of your cheek quickly knits itself back together. Where once an ugly scar marred your face, now your cheek is as smooth as silk. The flesh isn't even the slightest bit discolored, nobody would be able to tell that you'd once had a mark of any kind there unless they'd seen you previously. Once you've finished healing over the wound, you spit out the rag you'd gagged yourself with and breath a sigh of relief. It's nice, to have that weight off your shoulders. It will make traversing Pidjata infinitely easier, especially once you get past El-Amin. However, it's unlikely any Aghtaki will be calling you Brother anymore.

Chrys offers her hand to help you to your feet and you take it. Profectus claps his hands together excitedly. “Great! So, does that undo your banishment or something?” You look at him oddly for a moment. “What? Did I say something wrong?” You shake your head, slowly. In clear disappointment. You know he's not familiar with your people's customs, but that was really just a silly question.

“No, Profectus. I'm still banished. The only one who'd be able to undo my banishment is the Shah and I somehow doubt the Shah will be terribly eager to grant me that honor. Removing the scar merely means it will be difficult for people to identify me as having been previously banished, unless they knew me previously and heard about my trial or they start hanging my poster up on every corner.” An unfortunately likely scenario, should you be caught in the process of murdering the Shah.

Profectus deflates, but you ignore him. Darzi has finished dressing herself and rejoined the party, while Mortia and Profectus have been dressed for some time now. The five of you begin the march back towards the temple, conversation sparse. You doubt anyone is looking forward to waltzing past an army of men and women who'd presumably want you, and by association them, dead.

>>
The town is deserted when you wander into the square. The only shop you see open is the bakery and a few fish stalls scattered about, but other than that everything is closed and locked up tight. You can't imagine why, it's just the army. From what you've heard the Shah's military is generally well regarded by the common folk.

Bastien is leaning against his doorpost with a broom in hand, though he's not actually sweeping. He waves to you as you pass. “Be careful, my friends! Your army dogs have been barking quite loudly today!” You can't profess to being familiar with that expression, but it's meaning is clear enough. The soldiers have caused some kind of trouble. What that might be, you're initially uncertain. However, it becomes clear enough as you approach the in..

Windows are broken, one of the doors has been torn off its hinges, and soldiers are sprawled out across the field outside. Most of them clearly sleeping off the previous night's revelry. Still, a little hell raising isn't anything particularly out out of the ordinary, and the damage doesn't look too extensive...

As you come to the gates one of the temple jerks back a lever and the gates swing open before you. You're met with a crowded field of white tents, each one emblazoned with the emblem of the Shahdom. Surprisingly few soldiers are milling about, though you do note several groups huddled around cookfires or sprawled out in the grass.

>You better proceed with caution. Slip in as quietly as possible and make a bee-line for the tunnel.
>This is perfect, everyone ought to be asleep or hungover. Take some time to gather information regarding the gathered forces.
>Sit your ass down at one of the cookfires and strike up a conversation. Now that you're no longer scarred, you ought to be able to pull this off no problem.

This was our primary fighting style, it's the Rhynian Martial training that uses a shield and we're only a trainee rank with that style.

As you pass through the gates you contact Darzi via the brooches. {Would you mind hanging back to gather information? I believe my family may be among the nobility here, and I would rather not risk being exposed by someone I know.} Darzi responds after a moment. {I'll take care of it. You go on to the temple, I'll be up later.} With that, she peels off towards one of the near-by cookfires while the rest of the party proceeds towards the fortress proper.

As you approach the fort's entrance two guards, neither of them temple guards, lower their spears to block the path forward. “What is your business here?”

You stare at them as if they're insane, gesturing to your robes. “Are you blind? I live here. You can ask the Varistha if you'd like.” You would've thought the robes would be enough to get you in, but that doesn't seem like it will be the case.

The guards eye your party suspiciously and then share a look. You know, it's kind of creepy how they're moving in tandem. They're in almost perfect sync. “Why would a monk be traveling alone with the lesser races?” The guard who speaks, the one on your left, has an obvious tone of derision to his voice. You feel anger bubbling up in your gut like bile, the urge to drive a shard of ice through his throat almost unbearable.

>Force yourself to remain calm, merely remark that they're guest of the Varistha.

You draw yourself up to your full height, you're just barely shorter than the tallest of the two guards, but hopefully it still has some sort of effect. “Who are you to be barring a guest of the Varistha from entering temple grounds? On who's authority-!”

The guard interrupts you with a bark of laughter. “On who's authority! Did you hear that?” He turns his attention to the other guard, the guard on your right. His compatriot nods. “Oh, I heard him alright. What shall we tell him?” The guard you'd been speaking with turns his attention back to you. “We speak with the authority of the Royal Family, we've been ordered to bar any and all entry into this building by the Shahzada himself.”

Wait, the Shahzada? Shouldn't Kadir be the Shah now? Could it be one of Kadir's brothers? Does Kadir even have children? You'd heard he had a few bastards, but they would be ineligible for the title 'Shahzada'. Regardless, you need to recover this situation. The temperature around you drops rapidly to below freezing and frost starts to creep across the guard's metal armor. In the calmest voice you can muster you reply. “I care not for what pitiful whelp you serve. Nor what position his father holds.”

The guard on your right laconically comments. “Bold words, monk.” The guard on your left chimes in as well. “You know the Shahzada has had greater men banished for lesser slights on his honor. I doubt he'd be too happy about being called a whelp.”

(1/2)
>>
You wave them off dismissively. “Yes, and the Varistha has crushed greater armies under heel for lesser slights against his issue.” Mentioning the Varistha's previous feats of magical skill seems to put the guards on edge, but they don't raise their weapons from your path. You crank the temperature down further, and further still. Their armor has iced over, each subtle movement producing a plethora of cracks. Eventually one of them, the one you'd been talking to, raises his spear and his companion follows suit. “Fine, the Shahzada isn't even in. He's up in the temple speaking with the old man.”
>Vys Pool: (25/30)

You slip inside and make your way quickly to the room with the hatch in the floor, companions in tow. You touch your hand to the tile and the floor slides open, allowing you to slip inside. Profectus brings up the rear, closing the hatch behind you. From there, it's a simple task to get back to the Temple Gardens.

Profectus strides out in front of the party, stretching out luxuriously. “Well, I think I'm going back to sleep. You can find me in my room” Lazy bastard, he's slept the entire day away already. Mortia simply starts walking off without a word.

I like how Mik is the one who implied it would be an assassination. The avatar of totally-not-death merely said we'll kill him. Assassination implies subtlety and a chance of escape unknown, the spirits' words did not.

You whistle as loud as you can manage to get everyone's attention. “Hang on, Profectus. You're not going to sleep. You're going to meditate. Preferably on fire magic. Chrys, I need you to drop something off with Skull Kid.” You spread your cloak wide, and a mass of semi-transparent tentacles force out a massive black box. It slams into the stone floor hard enough to shake the ground and the sound resonates throughout the temple. “It's a Rhynian 'computor' if anyone can figure out how this thing was made it's those two.”

Profectus opens his mouth to complain, but shuts it after you give him a glare. “Fine, I'll meditate on fire magic. You'll need to tell me more about how you did that illusion though.”

You nod. You're glad to see that he's at least taken an interest in magic, instead of just going along with it because “I'd be glad to, Profectus. I'll tell you before I begin my own meditation.”

Mortia raises her hand. “Did you need me for something, or can I get back to my own projects? Your dimension has entirely different plantlife than my own, and it's going to take a lot of effort to acquaint myself with the local regents.” You wave her off. You'd thought about asking her to carry the computor, but frankly she probably couldn't even lift the thing.

Chrys hefts the black box with relative ease, though she actually needs to use two hands to do it. You make your way quickly through the halls with Profectus and Chryssa at your said, transmitting briefly to Darzi {I'm going to be meditating, so when you get what information you need try to deliver it in person. I worry that the brooches may interrupt me on the cusp of an insight.} She doesn't respond, but presumably she heard you.

As you turn down the hallway that leads to your bedroom you see a monk standing in front of your opened door, fidgeting nervously. You're a little irritated that they went and opened your door when you weren't there, but the monk speaks before you can voice your displeasure. “Thank the Shahbanu-” You're confused for but a moment before remembering the monks call Pani 'Empress'. “-the Shahzada has demanded to speak with the man who discovered the shipwreck for the last two hours! Come with me, quickly!”

>Oh fuck, shit, fuck. No, you can't meet the Shahzada! They'll never take you alive!

Well then. Looks like things will get interesting and more fuel for the Paranoia!

There's a chance that putting on the armor will put him on guard and make him more likely to recognize us if we are forced to take it off (which I think we will be) but it still seems the best option..

>>35015063
I believe it did but it'd piss of two important men instead of just one if we put it on. We could at least use the spike in neck as an excuse as to why we didn't want to take off the armor if he asks us about it.

>>
>>35015011
Thinking on it, let's give everyone the heads up to be ready if things go south. We should wear the armor but if its possible say we used an illusion to appear unarmored when entering cap, our reason for wearing it was to asist us in our meditations at the beach, then say we dropped the illusion as to not insult the Shahzada, however due to the nature of the armor removing it is both painful and has the risk of making us woozy so we opted to keep it on in order to answer his summons with due haste as he has been kept waiting long enough.

Hopefully we're actually capable of using the whole illusion trick so if asked we can "demonstrate".
>>
>>35015136

>>
>>35015168

Didn't our illusion move when it stabbed Rocky though? Besides if we demonstrated while staying still (say while sitting down) we might be able to pull off the lie anyway. Either way it may be best to keep the illusion thing as a back up in case we are asked and just rely on the armor being a pain in the neck.
>>
>>35015236
We can just tell him the truth, that if we took it off right now, we'd risk losing consciousness and being out of commission for hours, since that's what happenned last time, and we'd also be inhibited magically.
I think he wants us to lead them there or lead an attack, so us being K.O. wouldn't be something that they want.
>>
>>35015160
While I agree that my idea is one of the worst I made in the quest. I need to remind you that we're talking about the bastard that got us banished, as it is we're not a citizen of the Shahdom and have no loyalty to him anymore.

>>
>>35015337
>>implying he'd even consider agreeing
Maybe there's a chance he would for guaranteed safety of his father. But he definitely wouldn't not ven knowing if his father is still alive or not.
>>
>>35015337
I think Kadir was working with the pirates.
Someone had to be on the inside to tell them everything they'd need to know to take down the Shah's boat.
>>
>>35015389
Soma implied the pirates had cannons. I doubt they needed anything more than that to defeat the Shah and his navy.
>>
>>35015312
Well yes the whole reason to even bring up the illusion is in case he's suspicious of how we got into the temple in full armor when his men would have likely detained us or at least let him know about a suspicious well armored monk returning to the temple. Though hey he may have already been given our name by one of the monks so it may be shadowrunning for nothing.
>>
>>35015400
Ah. Right.
Kadir knows our name.
As does the Varistha and every monk in the temple.

Ha, to be already defeated in this way...
>>
I have the sads.
>>
Shit, Soma, you said yesterday that you felt sickly, and now I'm in bed going through packets of tissues and medicine
>>
You hold up a finger. “One moment, if you will. I need to change.” The monk opens his mouth to protest, but you sweep past him into your room, slamming the door behind you. You open your cloak wide and a unorganized heap of ancient worm carapace tumbles out. You strip off your cloak and your monk's robes before going about the lengthy process of donning your armor. The last step involves putting on your helmet.

You feel a pinch as the spike drives its way into the back of your neck, but the pain quickly subsides as vys floods into you. The butterflies in your stomach subside, the undercurrent of rage that has been with you since the night before vanishes, and any vestige of fear that you might have felt is gone. In its place, only confidence and a sort of happy calm remain. You feel like you could run the breadth of Pidjata without feeling out of breath. You feel you could defeat the Shah's army offhandedly. In short, you feel fantastic.

You pull on your monk's robes and whip on your cloak with appropriately dramatic flair before jerking open your door. The monk is standing more or less right where you left him, his arms folded impatiently in front of his chest. “Finally! I cannot believe you would just- wait, don't ignore me!” You've already brushed past him on your way towards the Varistha's quarters. Where else would the Shah be housed? The monk is forced to jog to keep up with your pace. “The Shahzada is meeting with the Varistha in the Varistha's quarters. The Shahzada is drunk, but furious. The Varistha has been trying to keep him occupied but his success has been mixed. Do be on your best behavior. None of that oud playing-”

(1/2)
>>
You tune the monk out. He goes on like that for quite a while, trying to lecture you on the proper etiquette a commoner ought to show when in the presence of the royal family, including supplicating oneself before said royals. It's odd, to not be recognized as a noble. You could correct the man on a dozen different points but you resist that temptation. Eventually you find yourself standing before the double doors that lead into the Varistha's quarters and the monk hurries to open them for you. As soon as he's pushed the door open, he bows as deeply as he can manage and backs out of the doorway without meeting the Shahzada's eyes.

You step in calmly and give the Shahzada the traditional greeting. You bow, but not excessively, while throwing your left arm out wide and touching the index and middle fingers on your right hand to your forehead and chest respectively. Rather than acknowledge the greeting the Shahzada snaps at you. “Finally! Are you the man who found the wreckage?” The Shahzada is standing before you, if you had to guess you'd say he was pacing right before this. His words are slurred, but only slightly. However, his face and ears are flushed and he can't seem to properly focus on you. The Varistha is sitting in his chair doing his best to look neutral.
(2/3)
>>
Soma, you should make a new OP post, link it here and post the newest part of the story in the new thread
>>
The Shahzada continues without letting you answer. “Tell me what you saw! Did you get the name of the ship? What uniform were the men wearing? Did you catch sight of any other ships in the area, any signs of civilization?” He seems incensed. Oddly, you'd attribute his anger more to grief than anything else. You hadn't actually though that the Shahzada particularly cared for his father.

>Tell him all that you saw, mustering as much detail as you can remember.
>Embellish what you saw. If you recall correctly, the Shah's flagship was the Bhavya...

You begin relating what you saw in a cool, calm fashion. You start with hearing the explosion, followed by noticing the pilar of smoke on the horizon. You relate your decision to investigate, and your discovery of the wreckage strewn across the sea. You go into as much detail as you can describing what you saw. The holes in the wood and riddled across the corpses. You relate that the sailors you saw were wearing the standard uniform of the Shah's Navy. That is to say, a white shirt emblazoned on the back with the crest of the El-Amin dynasty and brown breeches.

You relate the smoke fires you saw on the horizon, and your decision to turn back instead of investigating further. Immediately the Shahzada cuts in. “Why didn't you push on? You could've saved my father, had you not been such a coward!” He turns on the Varistha. “We have to find the isle these brigands are calling home! I'll not rest until I see a body or I've exhausted each and every lead!”

The Varistha holds up his hand, motioning for silence, but you speak anyway. “I didn't pursue because I didn't wish to sacrifice my life needlessly. The wreckage showed clearly that the defeated ship was much greater than my own. Had I not turned back, you'd probably have been left guessing as to the fat of your father.”

Your tone is neutral, but the Shahzada doesn't seem to take it that way “Are you questioning my judgment?” Rather than blind rage, his voice is cold. Normally you'd probably be worried but at the moment you really couldn't care less. “If I dub you a coward, you're a coward. There is no alternative. My word is law.” He pauses, grinning sadistically. “Unless, of course... you'd like to prove otherwise.”

Then we lead the rescue party in a week
>>
>>35016357
Faawk owwuff mate we're fine as is. 'Sides. He don't need us, he's got an army.
>>
Guys, you seriously don't want to make ourselves look better and make sure Kadir dies?I even made a nice write-in for it ;_;
>>
>>35016238
>Fine, I'm a coward. And your parents are DEEEEAAAAAAAAD.
>>
>>35016276
Anon who wrote this here, I'd like to add that we might as well accept the label of a coward if he wills it, let him think we consider him above us.
>>
>>35016363
>>35016372
If there is one thing this quest has taught me about this setting is that bandit and pirate lords are loaded as. If we get to their horde before the Shah's men do, we'll be wealthy enough to restart the Rhynian Empire.

In addition to this, we'll get a ticket into the Shah's inner circle, a perfect place from which to assassinate him.
>>
>>35016238
This >>35016276
If we are to ensure the prince's death we need to be present. Tempting as it is to leave him for the pirates there's a chance he could survive and that'd just suck all sorts of ass. If he comes back and we didn't help and the Shah is dead he'll probably try and have us executed.
>>
>>35016276
Seconding. Ish.
>>
>>35016238
>>You absolutely would.
Challenge him to a duel to the death, tomorrow at noon. Spit at his feet.
>>
Didn't we report that, like two days ago? How come he's here already with an army to boot?
>>
>>35016238
>Fine, you're a coward.

As if we need this weak ass bitches approval. Talk crap all he wants, until he's stolen his own damned dragon egg I couldn't give two fucks less for his 'laws.' Let him talk shit. Miks ego is as strong and righteous as Dolomite.
>>
>>35016412
oh no! heaven forbid we're exiled!
>>
>>35016434
Because Shadowruns
This was planned by a third party trying to pull a coup on the Shah's family
>>
>>35016431
Seconding.

>>35016434
He knew it would happen.
>>
>>35016434
I'd assume having relays of Nature vatis plant networks and the skills of Grand-master Water vatis have something to do with that anon.

On another note, I'm watching 300: Rise of an Empire right now and the atmosphere/ambiance is just perfect.

Historical inaccuracies currently suppressed by fatigue

>>35016434
Now that you mention it, that does seem mighty suspicious. It's strange how he's still in griefanger mode if he planned this in that case, though(assuming we read him right). How far is El-Amin from here, Soma? Could they have possibly made it here after hearing of our sighting?
>>
>>35016470
Didn't we make it here from the capital in like a day by carriage?
>>
>>35016431
NO
that is a horrible idea
>>
>>35016465
I've never seen a more pointless an unneeded sequel in my life, ugh.
>>
>>35016478

>You just answered his questions.

I'll mix together 'you're a coward' and 'answered questions'. I think. Last post, probably.

Journey between El-Amin and the Water Temple takes about a day and a half. 24-ish hours.
>>
>>35016478
I'm assuming there a magical means of instant communication, or if no there are government runners are much faster than a carriage.
>>
>>35016564
Maybe he was just scheduled to join the Shah for some pleasure cruisin' around this time?
>>
>>35016558
Soma I voted for the 'just answered your questions' response because I assumed it would give us the opportunity to pillage some pirates. Is that on the table?
>>
>>35016587
Forte.
>>
On second thought, I'm exhausted and kind of drunk and typiing is hard.
I'll call it here for the night and pick up on Dies Lunae.

>>35016685
Monday mate. Google it.

>>35016684
You're good man. Definitely one of the fastest QM's, if not the fastest. G'night, and thanks for running.
>>
>>35016685
Dies Lunae means monday in latin, 'day of the moon' like how Monday in spanish is el lunes
>>
>>35016685
Dies means day and Lunae is the genitive singular form of Luna, which means moon. Genitive is the case you put shit in to show possession and sometimes description, so it means "Day or the Moon" or "Moon's Day".
So Monday.

Drunk Soma quest when

>>35016764
It's not a great idea if it makes her more likely to cheat on us. You'd probably get ven more requests for smut too.
And it'd make strange that she's able to stay at her parents' for an extemded period of time without us. And also make it arousing, as it could serve as orgasm denial play

When is Soma going to write smut about himself and his sister?

Why make smut when you can make it real?

>>35016863
So you have a script to work off of

So, if we're going in a pleasure cruise, do we go alone? Or do we take a select few with us? Take everyone now that we can heal at grandmaster level?
>>
>>35017869
We should go alone, if we fuck things up and we get posters of us everywhere it'll be better for them to look for a lone monk rather than an adventuring party, at least at first.
>>
I'm still trying to think of non healing based water meditations for GM.
>>
>>35018001
I guess that's fine, we have the brooches anyway. I hope our egg will be fine while we're gone. We should try to get a fire meditation in without the egg as soon as we can, so we can get final insight for Master with the egg.
>>35018210
Stopping our heart and moving our blood through water magic, maybe moving our body too, while defending from water attacks from monks?
>>
Anyone thinking it might be good to set up an IRC for Soma-based quests for all the shadowrunning going on in these threads?
>>
>>35018321
I won't use IRC, it'll only scatter the player base and defeat the anonymous only point. Ask page is fine.
>>
>>35018210
How about freezing and immediately after healing our cells? We could do it in continuous waves that begin at our toes and end at our head, so we can have multiple waves active at once. I think this might just count as both water control and healing.
