You are Shax Gloombreaker, Ascendent! It's time for you to face the most dangerous enemy of your life. It's okay, because you've faced increasingly absurd challenges before now! You've taken out wizards, priests, dragons, demon lords, swordsmen of all kinds, and you've even earned accolades you never knew existed! A pretty good life, more than any goblin could really ask for. Still, you're not in it to quit, and you're going to go all the way, baby! It's time!

END OF QUEST EDITION

You have:
>Weapon Proficiency (Laser Cannon Sword The Size of You)
>38 Hungry Points
>102 Barbarian Points
>21 Turtle Points
>57 Friendship Points

>Shax Ability Tree: http://pastebin.com/aBfqv1vP
>I'm the boss! Points: 1
>Pearls: ZERO, GOOD LUCK

You land in a vast cave. Around the rocks cower dozens of strange looking goblin shaped ghosts. They're nearly translucent, featureless, and they watch you curiously, refusing to approach you. Shortly after you take a look around, hefting your sword on your shoulder, Blaise lands, spinning her axe at the ready. It's deathly quiet.

"Hi, I'm Shax," You say, cheerfully with a wave. The ghosts all scurry away from your position, as if in utter terror.

With a clunk, Blaise plants the hilt of her axe down. "Guess they don't like to make noise. I don't know anything about the Plane of Avarice, what do you know about the Hungerer? We've got to take him out, right?"

You shrug, "He's supposed to be a really scary monster that eats goblins. That's about it. He just eats goblins all day, all night. We die and go here so he can eat us. We breed fast cause it lets us die fast so he can eat us."

Blaise has a disgusted face, "That's the worst religion I've ever heard of."

You shrug.

>Head straight forward. It seems the cave widens that way a bit. There is no light anywhere, save for the glow of Blaise's ring, since she can't see in the dark.

Hey ghostblins, what the heck's the deal? You've gotta tell us because even though you're dead we're the chief and goblins are supposed to listen to the chief (except for when they're beating up the chief so that they can be the new chief like we did.)

Hey, maybe Dead-Chief Fouldrinker's in here. He might have some choice words for us about our ascension!

More like, the dice gods are divided on whether to support our ascension, or to oppose us.
>>
Blaise gets her axe ready and starts to walk towards the cave mouth. You grab her sleeve and point in the opposite direction. "Hey! Let's go talk to those guys some more. Maybe they can tell us more about the Hungerer." In the distance a great roaring is heard. It's a horrible, ear splitting sound. The entire cave rumbles, and you feel a deep fear, one born from the dawn of time, from your conception, one you've carried your whole life, shake in the very core of your being.

It quickly passes. You've got courage beyond that of a goblin, after all! Blaise, however, looks rather shaken. "Shax was that? No, of course it was. Get your head in the game, Blaise." Your maid slaps her cheeks and puts on a brave face, then gives you a thumbs up.

Still, the roar made it horribly difficult to find any of the ghosts. Those you did find were almost catatonic. After a moment, however, you find a tall ghostblin who scoffs when he sees you, cowering behind some rocks. "So, you made it here, huh? You don't seem dead like the rest of us." You're not sure, but he seems kinda familiar. "How's the crown treating you, kid? Thrown it all away on some suicide mission?" Oh, it's Chief Fouldrinker!

"Hiya, Chief! I'm the boss now, but it's pretty surprising you're still around." You wave at him.

He shrugs, "This afterlife ain't so bad. Don't get eaten. I've been practicing that my whole life. Still, what are you doing here? You crazy?"

You give him a wink and a thumbs up, "Gonna kill the Hungerer, Chief. Mind telling me about him? I don't know anything except the legends."

"Kid, it is nothing like the legends. It has arms. So many arms. And a giant mouth with more teeth than you can imagine. It charges around at a speed you can't believe, grabbing and consuming everything it can. Get out of here. While you still can."

"Ehhh, wait a second. Didn't I kill you, like, forever ago?" You try to remember how far back its been. At least a few months. "How'd you survive this long?"

The ghostblin crosses his arms, "Like I said. We've all been preparing for this our whole lives. I've been watching that thing, learning its movements. Some people get to be chief through sheer power, like you. But me? I had to do it through cunning."

You whistle, crossing your arms, "Watching it, huh? Well, how about telling me if you've learned any sort of weaknesses. I'm here to kill it, you know. Tell ya what, if I take it out I'll see if I can't get you a stone lizard body or something." You look over at Blaise, mouthing 'is that even possible'. The maid shrugs, clearly intent on letting you solve your own damn problems.

Fouldrinker thinks on it for a long while, "Alright. Sounds good. I get out of this hell, and you get rid of this ageless tormentor. I'll tell you what I know."

It's a long series of things, but you think you figure out what there is to know. First: It's mouth is completely unnatural. You cannot fill it. It is always hungry. Second: It's rear is solid plates. Hacking through it is, well, maybe not impossible. But it would take more than one blow. By then the arms might get you. Third: Do not get grabbed. If you get got, chop the arm immediately. If you get in the mouth, you're done. Fourth: There are no discernible eyes or ears or anything like that. Fifth: Do not ever stop moving. Sixth: It has to have a weakness. A core that holds it on this plane (Like your sword and rings.) It would be on it's body. Find it, and you've won.

You look at Blaise when the chief is done talking. The ghostblin gives you a salute, "I wish you luck, I really do. You're going to need it. Try to not disappoint the entire goblin species, alright?"

What a nice guy.

Loot the plane of Avarice. Catching the Hungerer by surprise doesn't seem like it'll do much since all he does is snatch up things and eat them anyway and he doesn't have any apparent senses to hide from. There's bound to be some sweet loot lying around that might help us out.

No one roll is the end of anything.

We've just got off on a bit of disadvantage. We still got a Boss Point to save us from a real screw up and plenty of other chances.

Just start thinking hard on how to take care of the Hungerer.

We need to keep moving, and we got some go fast equipment, we should open with that to get behind it and pull off a real strong cuttle attack on the back.

If we can flood, try doing that, and knocking the Hungerer over with a laser blast. After that Blaise can freeze the Hungerer in and we can take the moment to find it's weak spot.

"We've got time," Blaise says, hands on her hips. "Why don't we try practicing with our rings? We don't really know what they do yet, other than that we infused them with some of the domain's power."

You put a finger on your chin, running it there with a thoughtful face. "Hmm. Are you sure? I mean, this is his plane. If we do stuff like that then won't it draw a bunch of attention?"

"Hah! Then we have a trap ready for him." Blaise gives you a wink, tilting her head with her hands on her hips, "And we'll smack him right in his dumb face, yeah?"

Better plan than yours. You were just going to hit him with your sword till he gave up. You nod. "Alright. Let's try to figure things out. It might be useful to know what these do in the fight, after all!"

"Right?" Blaise says, laughing. She lifts up her ring, and closes her eyes in concentration. A light starts to surround her, sparkles filling the air. A roar is heard. It's already noticed?! And its heading this way! A grinding sound is heard as a light seems to fill Blaise from the inside, causing her to glow. You see a long, spindly arm reach out, grabbing the cave wall. It has six fingers, and its huge claws were yellowed. Then another arm comes out, then another. Half a dozen arms apear, and a massive, gibbering maw with rows upon rows upon rows of teeth appears. It roars once more, this time the sound almost splitting your skull.

And it starts moving towards you.

Impossibly fast.

You tap Blaise on the shoulder, "Uh, what's that ring do because we're gonna have to probably kind of use it right now in a few seconds Blaise okay?"

"It's amazing Shax! I feel-" She gets cut off, a hand slapping down right behind her. Aw crap, it's time to fight!

>There is only one star of Destiny! This big dumb thing doesn't even have a weapon, much less an oversized one! You'll win with a little confidence, a little moxie, and a little luck! Let's go!

Half-a-dozen arms isn't a lot of arms at all!

He's got a big mouth and moves fast, but we dunno if he can turn fast too. I'm guessing no, since otherwise he wouldn't need big, heavy plates on his back because he could just turn around real fast and eat whatever was there instead.

Get around to the side of him and start lopping off arms if he gets grabby. Every arm we get rid of on a given side makes being on that side of him safer.

Softshell to try and pinpoint the weak point when we're no longer at immediate risk of getting scooped up by an arm.

Okay, maybe smart is not the best word, but she definitely knows how to play her cards to come out on top. Besides, all these battles must have polished her instincts and got her sixth-sense style reflexes.
>>
Blaise spins around, the hand behind her causing her to jump. "Holy crap Shax" She says, and you don't have time to reprimand her for slip in decorum. You're a generous mistress, after all! Oh, also you're fighting to the death here.

"Blaise! Freeze those arms!" You shout, and see her toss out a pearl out of the corner of your eye, the blue sparkle shimmering in the cave air before it bursts in a powerful nova, ice spikes shooting out like rays from a sun, and freezing everything they touch. Holy crap. That's certainly what you ordered. You start spinning, kicking a familiar little dance as you move towards the Hungerer. A hand comes at you, a ferocious growl when it stretches out. You manage to hack it right off, the bone splitting as the beast lets out a surprised yelp. You're careening away from it's mouth, your foot falls practiced and true as you avoid the maw, squeaking through one side, chopping down two more arms. It seems to be growing more from it's back, the limbs crawling up its skin until they are on its side.

There is another sound, like the air breaking. You see a massive nova of ice again. Blaise must have used another pearl. Well. It's time to do what you do best. Skidding to a stop, you look over the beast. Nope, no weak point on the back that you can tell right away. Still, that shell has to be hiding something! You lift up your sword, and leap into the air. Your ring shimmers a bit as you channel tidal energy, stronger than you have before, and deliver a blow to the weakest looking plate you can find. There is a cracking sound, followed by a scream, louder than you've ever heard before, as the plate splits in two, your sword sinking into the widening crevasse.

Dang, son.

Using your blade as a lever, you send half the plate flying with a sickly sound. There, deep inside its back, the glowing core can be seen!

>Alright! You know where it's at! But the beast won't be distracted forever by Blaise. What's your plan?

>a bunch of goblin ghosts
I feel like this is the big issue with making a race so prolific that you'll never run out of food even though you're always eating: there're going to be a whole lot of them.

I mean, there are goblin ghosts still running around, which means goblins are dying faster than he can find and eat them. Having them run interference seems like a great plan.

Sure there's that whole 'primal fear telling you to run from the god that was predestined from your birth to eat your immortal soul' bit, but goblins are nothing if not really good at running around like crazy. And that's really all we need them to do; to take a little bit of pressure off of Blaise so she can do her job without getting scooped up and eaten.

Lazer strike right in there, maybe use the hacked off plate as a shield. Eneter Wary stance and do the defense thing if we must, get ready to teleport as soon as needed, but if we must then we should circle to his front and teleport to his exposed flesh at the moment when he attacks.
Can we teleport in the air? spinning meteor strike cuttler+chopper stab into weak point as sneak attack when?
>>
>>34863711
Save the teleport for when we need to get out of the way of something or save Blaise.

>>
>>34863674
>I mean, there are goblin ghosts still running around, which means goblins are dying faster than he can find and eat them. Having them run interference seems like a great plan.
Shit, I like this plan! Shax has the charisma to pull it off, probably. Especially if we play up the whole, "help me kill this guy so you schmucks won't get eaten!" bit.

...And now I'm imagining a musical number like in The Lion King when Scar is giving a pep talk to the hyenas, except instead of "Stick with me, and you'll never go hungry again!" it's "Stick with me, and you'll never get eaten again!"
>>

>>
>>34863769
Eh, good point. I was thinking more that a proper swing would do more damage than lazors, but we want to move fast, hence teleport.

But either way I suppose it's unlikely that we'll be able to drop him in one, so it's probably best to save the 'port for more dire circumstances.
>>
>>34863764
I'm this anon, add in the glowy birds as distraction, can we teleport together with Balise btw? Tell Blaise to try and freeze his flesh around the wound so he can't close it through regeneration.
>>

>>
Actually, how about a stab and a laser cannon thing while the sword is embedded? At least we won't miss like that, assuming the laser is shot from the tip.
>>
>>34863818
What part of NO PEARLS, GOOD LUCK are people failing to grasp?

We can't fling spears. We can't summon turtles. We can't open a portal and bug out to our plane.
>>
>>34863857
Good thinking.
>>
Chief, how easily did we cut through his armor with our juiced up slash? If it was like butter, then we can let up a bit on the cuttler aspect and opt for our more normal damage bonuses, like stances and shit.

>>
You jam your sword in. If it's got a weak point, you just gotta blow it up, right? Snapping your fingers, you send a dozen birds careening through the air. Still growing hands reach out, grabbing at them and blowing up. Larger ones swat at them as well. The Hungerer isn't very smart, huh? Focusing your power, you channel your divine energies directly into the blade, and you hear a sizzling sound, followed by a 'FWOOM' as the flesh around your sword bubbles and explodes, an acrid stench filing the air as your laser burns a hole deep into the hungerer. It seems to have pierced the aehteric bubble, as well!

A large hand pops out of its back, slamming into your face with a fist. You go flying through the air, and crash to the ground, rubbing your skull. The Hungerer appears to warp, and bubble. A strange sound is heard as it starts to collapse in on itself, like dozens of bones breaking at once. It vanishes, seemingly eating itself. On the otherside is a panting Blaise. She's on one knee, and no longer glowing.

"Shax!" She calls out, "That ring... takes a lot out of you. Don't use it unless you have to. It seems to make your divine powers way stronger, though! My pearls were doing crazy things!"

You were about to respond when a high pitched shriek is heard, and from the ceiling descends a spindly monster with bat wings. At the tip of either wing is a clawed hand. It has a mouth in the middle, and its lower body appears to just be arms. They reach out, tentacle like, with a claw. A liquid drips from them, undoubtedly a poison.

"Don't get stung, Blaise!" You shout, rolling over as five pierce the groudn next to you. Whipping your sword, you cut the tentacle like appendages to a burst of ichor. It's fast now. And airborne! "How many pearls do you have left?" You ask the maid as she enters a defensive stance.

"Two dark, one ice!"

That's plenty of ammo! It can't have many tricks up it's sleeve now?

What's the plan?
>>

Chief, I seem to recall we drunk of the chalice of true seeing before this whole fight began, right? It would've been moronic if we hadn't, considering we wanted to use our items to set up a trap, which would definitely involve protection against illusions.
>>
>>34864931
Nah, dropping down the last few pages is slower than the others. We're fine for a while longer.
>>
No matter what.

We are saving our second teleport in case we need it to save Blaise.
>>
>>34864986
I think the speedboost might be a better fit for that one, but I agree. Medio bugout option must always be available.
>>
>>34864986
No fuck that, if blaise is in trouble than I vote we spam boss points to save her BIG HERO style.
>>
>>34864986
Yes. Who'd want to live forever if the maid must die?
>>
You unleash a flurry of birds, more than you've ever managed at once before. Your ring sparkles a bit, and you keep Blaise's warning in mind. It's your final trump card. You can't waste it here! Who knows how many more nasty tricks this thing has been hiding?

They starte exploding, the beast ducking down to avoid the distracting stings. When he gets low enough, Blaise tosses her last ice pearl, a much more contained explosion freezing the wings as it crashes to the ground. Grippnig your belt, you vanish through the air, and come down on top of the thing with your sword just as the tentacles start heading out to Blaise. The girl won't be able to dodge in time...!

But you manage to split the Hungerer's head in half before they get there. There is a weird sucking sound as it starts to eat it self in, threatening to drag you in. You dig in your heals, not letting the sudden vortex take you inside.

You do lose one comfy boot, though. The fiend. It will pay for this. If you have to spend a hundred life times! That was your comfy boot!

It disappears again, Blaise regaining her breath. "Thanks, Shax," She mutters, looking around. You don't know where it is going to pop out next...!

A goblin shaped creature comes out from behind a rock, except instead of a face it has just one toothy mouth. It grabs the wall, pulling out a giant club with it. You have a feeling this is it's final form. Just a goblin with an oversized club! Shouldn't be too bad, right?

It lifts a hand, crooking it's finger. You suddenly go flying through the air towards it. It swing's its club, smacking you square in the stomach and batting you away. Before you land, it crooks its finger again, pulling you through the air back towards it. This is bad...! A shadowy tentacle catches you, dragging you to the ground. Blaise gives you a wink and a salute.

>What's the plan? You're a bit winded!
>>
>>34865032
Or we could not waste those and just teleport in front of her with our sword in the shield position.
>>
>>34865061
Spin to Win

If he's going to keep pulling us towards him let's go in spinning
>>
>>34865061
This is tough. If we can't stop the pull our best bet would be to use tidal points to tank it's next pull in attack with the barnacle armor and then point blank it with a big attack, maybe try to stun it for Blaise to rest and set up a surprise attack.
>>
>>34865061
Spin+Light Cannon
Let there be Light
>>
>>34865061
Final formu huh?
>Giant size + Speed boost + Cuttle + Laser + Ring powerup
Super speed cut
Have Blaise stay the fuck away and play safe.
>>
>>34865061
Maybe we can use this to our advantage. The Hungerer's basically dragging us into striking range of itself. Be ready for it to happen and hit it good when we get close.
>>
>>34865032
>>No fuck that, if blaise is in trouble than I vote we spam boss points to save her BIG HERO style.
I mean, we've got As Expected of Me! which gives us big temporary bonus while being heroic.

Which I guess might be on all the time seeing as we're trying to save our entire race from an endless future of getting their souls devoured.

>>34865061
>oversized club
See? Now THIS is a final form worth fighting.

Let him pull us towards him and then invoke our Mask and use the added momentum plus Giant Strength plus being huge to blow through his guard.
>>
Rolled 19 (1d20)

>>34865061
I'd like to suggest stuff that doesn't take a start up spin time. First, snap into Wary Tortoise Stance (You are adept at spinning your sword into place to shield your body), and then once he does his goblinsy magic again, hit him for 'ard damage with Bite of the Snapping Turtle!
>>
>>34865061
See, now is the time for
>I'm behind you
if we have an opportunity
Do birds and non-sword beams first, tell Blaise to bind it if she can, and cut his shitty club in half if you have to. If we get close and stay on the ground, get in the defensive turtle stance, try the smite sword on him(maybe?), then turle stand attack with everything we've got, spin to win, cuttle/choppah/lazer, whatever we can do, fucking destroy him.

Bah, winded is nothing to Shax, she has a golden necklace with diamonds.

Time to show him why we're the best at sword. Use Wary Tortoise Stance and Grouchiness of the Terrapin to block and counter his attacks.

If need be use Clam up to tank a hit so we're in a good position to smack him right back as hard as we can.

We were told that its mouth isn't a real mouth, but a bottomless void. Stabbing it just gets our sword vaporized.

Severing his mouth-head from his shoulders would work great, though. Separating his turbovacuum from his means of movement means he'll have a nightmare of a time trying to eat anything with it.

He swipes a finger across the field, splitting the shadowy tentacles in half as their midsections are pulled out from between them. Jeez, you're glad you're not composed of elemental segments. Head swiveling to you, acknowledging you as a larger threat, the creature does it again.

Your pull slows as you slip your mask on, prepared this time. You start to grow large, and when the club hits you, it impacts on a wall of barnacles. You activate your wrists, bringing your sword up and delivering a quick, horizontal blow across its midsection. Both halves split into mouths, and the bottom half falls towards your foot, biting you there.

Uh oh. You remember what Fouldrinker said. You're done for if it gets its mouth on you. If only you hadn't lost that comfy boot!

CLIFFHANGER?

Just kidding! Blaise rushes up, taking your leg off at the knee and catching you as you fall backwards. With a quick combination of magic, she manages to seal your wound, and you watch, leaning against her as the Hungerer slowly shrinks before disappearing.

You feel a sudden connection to this realm, a sudden... control. It starts to look less dank, the massive cavern looking more like one back on your plane. Shimmering gems start to pop up along the walls. The mist like ghostblins start coming out, glancing around in curiosity.

Looks like you won, kid.

>CONGRATULATIONS! YOU BEAT THE QUEST. YOU'RE PRETTY GOOD.

A part of divinity meant that you could no longer step onto the material plane. That's alright, because you had one entrance into the Manderlay Forest. Your influence there helped draw various disenfranchised monsters to that forest, witch boy's hut becoming an unfortunate centerpiece to a slowly growing community. The city of Manderlay was not a fan of this at all, but since the city was protected by a deity who ascended from one of their noble families, well... They put up with it.

The main thing you and Blaise was immediately get the control of turtles from Sea Mom, a deity who was delighted with your performance. Allies in the pantheon were a rare thing, and she was happy to have you. You instituted a loot based worship. The raiding and gifting of items would sustain you, and your followers were more than happy to help. Your plane would expand without end, becoming known as the Land of Devouring Light.

Monolithic Turtles roamed your gleaming seas, and the beach was open to all followers who would travel through the caves. Your stone like lizard servants would guard it against unbelievers, those whould attempt to raid the jeweled shores for the treasures you gained.

When the rains first started, the oceans rising, people weren't worried. But they soon became panicked. However, the great turtles surged forth from your plane, eager to house the people willing to trust you with their future. It took a century, maybe more, for the flood to finish, but by then people were comfortable on their roaming, island homes.

But that's enough about that for now, right? Let's hear what happened to all your friends!

Truz - Eventually retired to a quiet fishing life. He married a nice goblin girl out of love, and had seventeen children, who he used as bait. None of them died, though, earning him the father of the year award five years in a row.

Nost - This scary guy eventually went on to be the lead editor for the newly founded newspaper for the goblin community. He made sure that the hard hitting facts about the rising sea levels were reported without bias.

Mnar - Became an artist. His paintings of Shax are popular, and are one of the most common sights you can see in the goblin city.

Rund - Rund eventually founded the original Goblin Knight Order, creating a strong traditional military that eventually blossomed into multiple orders, the Paladins of Shax sailing far and wide to loot evil temples and give the poor money for their food.

>having to read two different epilogue at the same time

>>34865789

What other quest is ending, out of curiosity?
>>
Kuzr - Kuzr's love for Shax was never reciprocated, but his erotica involving a young goblin spotter and his beautiful raid leader became the best selling series to goblin housewives everywhere, titled 'The Sword of Passion'

Gneb - Went home and took care of his momma. He ended up marrying a woman suspiciously similar to him, and had several children. They founded and created one of the largest spider farm companies in the entire world.

Xab - Xab's cult like personality caught up to him, and he was found, murdered in his own temple. There was traces of it being a sexual crime. The dark elf associated with him was never found. The cyberkobolds continued his religion, and worship his strange god till the end of time. Well, until an adventurer raided the Temple of the Cyber Kobolds, killing Xab just as his demonic cybernetic ressurection was completed. The loot was reported to be 'okay'.

Dorle - He was always proud of his eyebrows. Eventually started one an undersea mining company.

Mani - Never grew back his eyebrows. Became a Great Turtle Veterinarian. He decided to help make the turtles blast proof to ensure their survival as the rains continued to fall.

Milda - She finally confesses her love to Brokagh, citing his muscles as being irresistable. She manages to trap him in a legal obligation, and has several children with him, citing the love making as 'wall shattering'. Everyone is very embarrassed by how straightforwad she is about all this.

Brokagh - Marries Milda instead of his other betrothed. Drinks heavily. Says she a frightful wife. Opens up his own dojo, teaches goblins martial arts. His children all open up rival schools. A new age of wuxia drama comes to the Turtle Isles.

Fetidclaw - Becomes a model for the latest line in women's fashion. Ends up leading leading a subtribe of gnolls who specialize in daring fashion design.

Bearbreath - Tries to save as many species as he can before the flood comes. Lived on a Great Turtle, filled only with animals, till he died.

Alfonse - Became Allonces's butler when she established her mansion in the Plane of Devouring Light.

Snacky - He ate a lot of kobolds. His brain was never restored. Likes to sit on the beach outside Shax's castle, and stare at the ocean at night.

Beyto - Got found by some tan, ancient elven swordswoman who was part of an ancient death cult. He surrendered, and she told him his day was not today. Ended up defecting from the underworld military and joining the growing monstrous community on the surface in the forests of Manderlay. Ran a tavern.

Squid Face - After resolving his conflict with the baelnorn, the alhoon was surprised to learn that Shax had went and ascended on her own. Reports said that he laughed, and left the army. He created a massive undead empire from the ruins of the elven forest, eventually becoming an an undersea nightmare. Rumor has it that if you were to, say, Raid this Dungeon you might find a way to get to Shax's plane.

Whoopaldookat - Retires to the seas. He never got his crab arms fixed, but he becomes a potent prophet of the new alliance of Shax and the Sea Mother. His small collection of Kuo-Toa eventually establish the largest sea based civilization in the flooded remains of the former capital. They raid the island turtles for sacrifices and supplies, but always spare goblins.

That Drow Quartermaster Who Gave You The Wrong Stuff - Was killed in the flood.

Ruhar - The Duergar alliance soon split from teh underworld army, and Rehar sought out the tails of a goblin girl with a giant sword. He'd loudly boast to anyone who listened that he trained you how to fight. No one believed him. But he whenever times got tough, a stone lizard servant would always be there to give him support.

That One Earth Elemental - Pretty upset the entire world got flooded.

This made me happy

So what was up with that, why was squidface so cool to Shax?

of course Squidface would have a private portal to see Shax

> Ruhar - The Duergar alliance soon split from teh underworld army, and Rehar sought out the tails of a goblin girl with a giant sword. He'd loudly boast to anyone who listened that he trained you how to fight. No one believed him. But he whenever times got tough, a stone lizard servant would always be there to give him support.

Oh man, such humble beginnings, brings you back.

I swear to god chief you are best at comedy. Write a book.

Damn right, Shax remembers him and the blacksmith and favors them as Best Non-Companion Dwarves.

Well can't say I'm surprised she kinda took over part/Shax gave her part of the plane
>>

Other way around Shax has a portal to see Squidface
>>
>>34866756
ah of course, my mistake
>>
>>34866756

Shax can't walk upon the mortal plane anymore.

Still though, it's kinda funny imagining an Adventuring party busting into Squid Face the Alhoon's dungeon on a quest to directly meet Shax, finds the portal and discovers Squid Face and her hanging out.
>>
Allonces - The bratty elf girl declares loudly that she's your mortal blade. In order to shut her up, you agree. She uses her influence to build a giant mansion on an turtle island, and always bugs you for money. She ends up having, like, thirty dark elf butlers. It's kinda creepy, but she does actually do a lot of raiding, eventually becoming a feared pirate on the seas. Her long life span works in her favor here.

Bale-Eye - The insane Gnoll Warlord eventually set himself on fire in an attempt to ascend to the plane of flame. His gnolls all quickly joined up with Shax's growing city of followers.

That One Fire Elemental - Allonces eventually returned and killed this guy for ruining her hair.

Sinclaire - Ends up running around, hunting for lost treasure to give to Blaise till the end of his days. Apparently had lots of kids, was generally handsome and badass. Started the treasure hunter's guild with exists to this day.

The Fiendpaw Chief - Eventually rebelled against Bale-Eye. Was burned to death for his trouble.

Franklin - Devoted study to the magical artifacts Shax had under her control. No one ever respected him. A mayor made him move his home out of the center of the city. When he said the center of the city was decided because it was his house, no one cared. No on remembered his name, except the robogirl he managed to invent which took care of him until his death. Her name was Ally, and she eventually went on to lead a scientific research department. No one is sure what demonic soul was bound to this godvessel.

KRAGULIXTAXIN - This demi lich was reported to be cackling as the waves finally took out his colliseum, freeing him of the prison. Apparently he tells anyone who asks that this was his plan all along. He's lying, though.

Ith-onas - The snakeman guardian of his temple died on the trip home from the lich's lair. He was reported to be a 'punk ass bitch'
>>
>>34866548
>Squid Face - After resolving his conflict with the baelnorn, the alhoon was surprised to learn that Shax had went and ascended on her own. Reports said that he laughed, and left the army. He created a massive undead empire from the ruins of the elven forest, eventually becoming an an undersea nightmare. Rumor has it that if you were to, say, Raid this Dungeon you might find a way to get to Shax's plane.

Wait, so, if he's got a portal in his dungeon, and it's all deep underwater, doesn't that mean that it's effectively acting as a giant drainhole? Is one of our caves spewing water all over the place?

I'd rather think that Squid-Face set up a system of giant pipes and gates to turn the powerful flow into traps, while Shax made the other end into a fountain.

When adventurers get sucked through and thrown into the air, the guardian turtles go skeet shooting.

Sitri - Apparently she got invited to the Land of Devouring light and was given quite a few favors. There are various scandals that she is the mistress of Shax, and the savvy satyxis did little to disabuse these rumors. It's not true, though. They're just super good friends! Sitri acts as a personal messenger of Shax. Though she doesn't deliver news to people, she delivers stories to the goblin, always eager to hear something new and interesting from the clever bard.

That Metal Elemental - Still wondering what the hell is going on outside.

Tree Guys - Establish their own community on an island turtle. Light elementals spawn from this isle regularly. They're reportedly favored by Shax who has referred to them in dreams to priests as 'pretty rad guys, you guys'

Yselathe in general - They got one turtle. It is an ancient scarred animal that is constantly covered in conflict. Apparently, it is also the source of all shoujo love interests.

Rachel, the blacksmith - Leveraged that she smiths for an actual immortal god to boost sales. Bought out her competitor, Rebecca. Married her. Apparently made savage lesbian love to the girl every night in Shax's castle. Everyone pretended that their lovey-dovey relationship didn't make them uncomfortable. But it did.

Kurohana, the demon swordswoman - Eventually forgave Sitri for deceiving her. Traveled the land in order to increase her skills, and wound up marrying an actual Satyr. Had three kids who all died in sword fights.

Chief Fouldrinker - Got his stone lizard body. Apparently swims around the ocean visiting random communities, and helps construct devious traps. Got a reputation as the 'dungeon lizard'.

Allonces' Stupid Brother - Shows up at the monster community looking for his sister. She tells him that he's too late to marry Shax cause she's an actual goddess. He asks her why he'd ever marry you, and instead helps found the elven community in the new civilization.
