You might as well get it out of the way and tell her now just so you could enjoy making dinner with her. But first, "Let's walk to my house. I need to change into something nice." you say. Haruka gives you a look and you hold your hand up. "I'll explain the whole story on the way there." you say grinning.

Haruka nods and smiles, "Then let's go. I want to hear how you even got a bloody nose." she turns and starts walking. You smile as well and follow behind her. "I'll have to warn you though, this is a long story."

As you walk you start from when you were moping on the roof with Yuki. Yuki then punches you in the face and helps you blow off steam by getting violent with each other. Then after you decided to lie down in the infirmary for a while Keiko tracked you down, you then talked about how you were going about the relationship stuff all wrong.

"She said I should make myself happy." you finish, "So I'm going to start doing that."

"That's sound advice." Haruka says. "She's not as bad as I thought."

"Because you're finally getting to know her beyond that girl that reported you in first year?" you say teasing her a bit. Haruka blushes and looks away.

"Anyway, what are you going to cook for me tonight?" she asks you. You haven't really thought about that.

"I dunno, what do you want?" you ask her.

"Something with fish." she says, smiling. You snort and throw your arm around her shoulders "That's really vague, Haruka."

"I said I dunno. I'll think about it while you're changing." she says. As you arrive to your house you grin, "So you're just going to think about fish while I'm changing? You're not going to watch?"

"Of course I'm not gonna watch!" Haruka says, flustered. You laugh as you enter your house and let Haruka in, your mom takes an instant notice to the guest you brought and immediately starts doting on her while you run upstairs to change.

You look in your closet and try to figure out what you want to wear.

Ugh this is the worst, you can't figure out what you're going to wear. Are you going to wear something just nice or super nice because this is the date that'll decide everything? You run your hands through your hair and grab random things from your closet.

Where did you even get this suit from? This must've been a practical joke or something. Did Mom do this? She has a weird sense of humour. Nevertheless you try it on anyway and pose in front of the mirror. Man you look good. Your mom does have good taste in clothes after all.

You take it off because it's way too nice and formal for anything you're doing tonight. Well not that you're going to be doing anything like that but you're still cooking for her.

Hearing a knock on the door, you answer it to see a now blushing Haruka in the doorway.

"What are you doing? It's been half an hour." she says not looking directly at you. Time flies by when you're trying on different clothes.

"What's with that look? Come in." you say opening your door wider.

"Because you're in your underwear." she says and then shakes her head. "Geez just pick something so we could go." she enters your room and picks out a long sleeve dress shirt and some jeans. "This is fine on you." she says.

"What's with everyone wanting to dress me up like a guy?" you say grinning, which makes Haruka blush. You put the shirt and jeans on anyway. You wear your hair down again start brushing through it.

"You already told my mom what we're doing tonight didn't you." you say as you straighten up your shirt. Haruka nods as she looks around your room. "All she said was embarrassing stuff about us." she says.

"Like what?" you hope that your mom didn't say anything too weird.

Haruka looks away, twirling a strand of her hair "She said to use protection."

"Oh well, that's tamer than usual." you say. You walk up to Haruka fully dressed and ready to go, Haruka looks you up and down blushing.

"I...I really want to kiss you right now." she says. You smirk and kiss her on the cheek. "There." you pat her on the shoulder as you head out the door. Regardless of how this evening turns out, you'll at least try to have fun.

As you make it out of the house, Haruka grabs your arm and stops you. "Why don't we do something together before we go to my place and cook. You know...like the movies." she says meekly.

Kirino is a self-centered, self-involved harpy that flies off the handle at the most retarded things and only shows any remorse or kindness when the people around her are falling over themselves to pander to her demands, without ever so much as getting a slap on the wrist for the horrible, horrible things she does to her brother. I would excuse the abuse if it were actual slapstick, but it's not funny. I at least didn't find it funny at all, and I love several series with way worse physical abuse humor in them.

"Deal." she says. You both head to the train station so you can make it to the movie theater. On the train you check your phone to see what's playing. Maybe something that can get some kind of mood going on. You're not really planning on doing that today but you know, you still want that mood.

There's a sci-fi action comedy, a romantic comedy, a horror flick, a serious thriller, some movie about slaves, another drama about space...ugh you can't decide.

"What kind of movie do you like Haruka?" you ask her.

"A good movie. I don't mind if you pick it." she says.

"Come on." you say.

"You know I like action movies." she points out. That's true but that might not have the right romantic feeling that you want.

Or will it? You have no idea. Arriving at the theater you stand in front of the ticket booth, debating on what movie to pick.

Well a horror movie is perfect for getting in a mood. She grabs onto you during a really scary part, you console her and run your fingers through her amazingly soft hair. Afterwards she continues hanging onto you and kiss. It sounds like the perfect movie.

You buy the tickets to some slasher film and grab her hand. "What did you pick out for us?" Haruka asks curiously. You grin at her and wave the tickets around "You'll see. Let's go in, it's starting already" you head inside the theater lobby. Haruka shrugs and follows behind.

In the theater itself, you pick the cosiest spot in the back, away from everyone else. You also neglected to show Haruka which movie you're seeing and even covered her eyes on the way in. Somehow it worked but probably because she just likes being teased by you.

"So are you going to tell me what movie we're seeing or am I going to just have to wait?" Haruka playfully punches your arm.

"Nope. Now shhh... the movie's about to start."

Once the movie gets past the trailers, commercials and the piracy warnings it really starts picking up. Some blonde girl and her friends end up getting left alone together in a secluded place in the woods. But then some asshole with a big machete starts hacking her friends to bits one by one.

You start gripping your armrest with your right hand and try desperately not to scream. Screaming will only discredit your badass reputation...well not that anyone knows about that in here except Haruka. But you want to look awesome for Haruka, your left hand however finds Haruka's hand sitting on the armrest. So instead of grabbing the armrest you grab her hand.

You think you saw a slight blush but she continues focusing on the movie, while letting her fingers intertwine with yours in that strangely affectionate manner that makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside. You end up not paying attention to the movie too much as she uses her thumb to rub the inside of your palm. At first, her thumb just slides back and forth but then she starts making it go in small circles.

You feel yourself blushing more than usual. You never would have thought that holding hands like this would feel so nice. You always thought it was kind of overrated.

You frown and tease her hand with yours, doing the same thing she did except rubbing your thumb on the outside instead of on her palm. She lets out a sigh but continues focusing on the movie.

You frown again. Well fine, you'll watch the movie. You turn to watch the scary flick but then Haruka turns your face towards hers with her other hand and kisses you on the lips, sliding her tongue across your mouth you move to kiss back but she pulls away. She gives you an extremely satisfied smile at your shock and turns to continue watching the movie again.

Here's where you plot your revenge. There's no way you'll let her win this fight.

Oh she's not going to finish watching the movie that easily, once you're sure that she's focused on the movie. You lean over and plant your lips on her neck. She squirms in her seat as you kiss two different spots, you then kiss her neck again using your tongue to make her squirm even more.

Eventually you make it up to to her earlobe and nibble on it a bit. That'll teach her not to mess with you like that, as you nibble and lick her earlobe you feel her put her hand on your knee. You didn't notice that she stopped holding your hand.

"S-Stop it...you're really..." she says, panting a bit.

To top it off, you go back to her neck and nibble on it a bit. Haruka takes her hand off of your knee and covers her mouth to keep herself from getting too loud. Right then you stop and pull away from her, grinning.

"Sorry did that bother you a little bit?" you ask her whispering. Haruka turns to face you, completely red in the face.

"Just wait until we get back to my apartment." she says ominously. You figure you should stop the games now or it probably won't until then. Throughout the rest of the flick you see her fidgeting in her seat. You think you must've turned on some kind of switch inside of her.

As you exit the theater you both head straight to her Apartment. On the way Haruka just silently held your hand as she walked, maybe you did go a little far with your stunt.

Once in the apartment, you check her fridge and get out whatever ingredients she has. "Where did your parents go to work this time?" you ask Haruka as she sits on the couch in the living room.

"Oh, um...they went to America I think." she says. "Your dad is in Europe right?" she asks you and you nod.

"Germany. He says the people there drink way more than us but I don't believe him." you say as you lay out the fish and begin to season it.

"Oh..." you see Haruka silently sit on the couch. She looks pretty damn nervous...

Haruka gives you a suspicious look and puts her one of hands on her hip. "Even Aimi never saw them?" she asks.

First you start off with cutting some of the vegetables. You watch Haruka carefully and nervously cut a carrot in a way that would take years if you didn't help her. So you wrap your arms around her and guide her movements with the knife. "Like this...I thought you said you could cook." you ask her.

Oh, you know what she wants definitely but duty calls, you're not going to burn your dinner over a make out session, that would be messed up. Well that was close. It might've burned if you did make out. And that would be bad. You plate the fish, get the rice out of the rice cooker and check put the miso soup into a bowl while Haruka watches you.

You nod as you set the places at the dinner table "Yup. I am."

Maybe. Another thing is that she seems to have a hard time connecting to people, which makes sense considering how often her parents seem to be out of the country. The people she does end up interacting with are people with strong personalities (Honda, who Haruka immediately identified as the chuuni) and tend to reach out to others (Wakana and Mio).

I was originally a fan of Kazuko, but at some point her she started to feel like the less appealing option for Wakana. I'm not really sure what it is that rubs me the wrong way when it comes to her, but I think that it would be worse for the both of them if Wakana ended up with Kazuko.

It feels like seconds turned into minutes which turned into hours, you glance at the clock on her DVR. Only about two minutes passed, man decision making is tough. But...you've made up your mind. You feel bad about the teasing you did all night with Haruka and she might be mad at you for a while because of it but you feel like you should stay friends.

She's been a good friend to you for these two years from being your King of fighters partner at the arcade to backing you up in actual street fights to shooing away the pesky cats that made it seem like you were on some international cat shitlist.
