GRAND FINALE EDITION

Scavengers, Trespassers, Adventurers, Lolis, Killers, Explorers, Robbers.

YOU ARE VASA,

You're falling back towards the lab building as fast as you can, firing at the soldiers behind you with your Sig as you go. You duck into cover beside Ice, who's currently supporting his AK under his left shoulder while reloading it one handed. The other hand is busy firing blind over the barricade back towards the military squad.

"Thanks," you say to him, taking a moment to reload your own pistol. He gives you a questioning look. "If you hadn't pushed me down back there-"

He shakes his head. "Bastards looked suspicious. Come on, we need to get the others and get the Hell out of here." He finishes reloading his AK, then pops up to gun down one of the men rushing your position. Three down. Twenty five to go.

You hit the PTT on your radio to warn the others. "Kris' friends betrayed us. They're trying to kill us right now, we're falling back to-"

Kris' voice comes over the channel, pained but clear. "Yes. I'm sorry, Vass, but I'm afraid I've been told to leave no witnesses."

What. The. Fuck?

"Kris? What? What are you talking about?" No answer. "Kris! God damnit-"

Ice grabs you by the collar and starts running for the building. You glimpse the image of ten men swarming the barricade as he pulls you inside the building, where you'd only just left Viktor and Kr-
Kris is nowhere to be seen, but Viktor is leaning against the wall with a blooded hole in his side. He smiles weakly up at the two of you.

"I think she was faking, guys." He chuckles, his expression quickly switching to a pained one.
Ice drops down beside him, putting his hands to the wound.

"It's not too bad. We'll get you out of here." Viktor shrugs him off.

"Kris went after Loli. You need to get down there. Just... pass me my gun, I'll hold them here for you."
>>
>>34671635
You grit your teeth, hissing back "we're not gonna leave you to die here."

"Who said anything about dying? They might be trained to kill, but we're Stalkers. We know how to survive." It almost looks like he's grinning.

[ ]"Fine. But we're coming back for you."
[ ]"No way. You're coming with us right now."

>>
>>34671644
>[X]"No way. You're coming with us right now."

You vehemently refuse. "No way. You're coming with us right now." Ice nods his agreement and instantly sets about picking Viktor up as gently as possible. With the two of them safely moving off, you move back to the door, grabbing a few grenades as you do so. The first, you throw outside. The second you set up as a booby trap behind the door. That should slow them for a few moments at least.

Then you rush after the guys towards the stairs. You're already at the bottom of the stairs and turning to the corridor when you hear the dull boom of your booby trap. You smirk to yourself. You switch your torch on, then follow after Ice who's walking directly ahead. You move up to ask him how he knows where he's going, passing a bunch of other turns as you go. "Light from that open door," he mumbles.
Right. Obvious.

A few feet from the bulkhead door, still slightly ajar, Ice places Viktor on the floor then very carefully peeks through the gap. Pulling his head back, he motions to you that they'll hold here. You need to go in. You nod, carefully check your Sig is good to go, then slip in through the door.

Loli is prone on the floor, a dart sticking from the back of her neck. A small corner of your mind registers that despite no movement, her eyes seem to show some comprehension of events. She's still conscious, despite that tranquillizer being enough to drop an angry gorilla.

Kris is sitting at a computer terminal, information streaming across the screen as she marvels and relates to Loli what she's reading. "-your pod lost containment less than a minute later, even though the others were all secure! Haha, look! Is that your Papa? Taking you and leaving everyone else to die. What a man, to play favorites with his children like that!"

[ ]Let her know you're here by cocking your pistol.

we should have Viktor act as rear guard, Ice cover Kris and be ready to shoot her in the arms to disable her, and Vasa to pull the dart out of Loli if she can

She has been shot already. She probably can't put up much of a fight right now (could she ever?) but you can try to disable her further I guess.

>[X]Call out to her.

"Kris."

She spins in her seat, a look of surprise mixed with joy on her face. A heartbeat later, when she sees you standing there with your Sig by your side, the smile fades as if it'd never been there.

"Hi Vass. I didn't think you'd get this far. I thought my team would take you down nice and quick."

You nod, "they would've done if Ice hadn't saved me."

"Ah," she nods, the hint of that smile tugging the corner of her mouth before she controls herself. "Yeah, he's like that isn't he?"

"Why are you doing this, Kris?"

"I told you. Orders. You... know it's nothing personal, right?"

"It kinda feels personal."

"Haha. I guess it would." She twirls around in her chair, like a child entertaining herself.

"You're really going to throw away this... all of this, all of us. Over some orders?"

She pouts. "It's not like I have a choice! This is the only way I get to go home! Otherwise they'll kill me!"

You shake your head. "Not if we run away. Not if we hide. We could go anywhere and no-one could stop us."

She gives you a wan smile. "Vass... I have a boyfriend waiting for me."

That hits you like a freight train to the gut, but you tense your entire body and refuse to let that show. After a heartbeat's pause that feels to you like it could've lasted an eternity, you answer back. "I don't care."

She frowns. "But I do." She suddenly bursts into laughter. "This is like one of those dramas! You're here, trying to make me decide between the two of you!"

"You're already deciding," you cut back. "You're just making the wrong choice. Please, just-" You take a step towards her. Just three paces away now.

She leaps to her feet when you do, pulling one of Loli's pistols up to you. "Don't."

This isn't about teen drama. She can choose between the people who has stuck with her through everything this far, or she can pray that the people who threw her into the zone in the first place will actually honor their agreement and not kill her for what she knows.

Please Kris, don't do this."

"Kris. Please, just listen to me. This isn't a chick flick drama. This is the Zone. Now you can choose between us, the people who've been fighting with you, bleeding with you. The people trying to keep you alive. Or you can side with the people who sent you here, and you can hope to whatever you believe in that they won't silence you once they're done with us." Her face sets as she listens to your words. She cocks the 1911 in her hand, still pointed at your face.
"If you really want, we can just stop by on our way wherever you want. We can pick up your boyfriend and we can get out of this place. Just, please, don't do this."

The impact hits you in the chest, jarring your entire body. The wind knocked out of you, you stumble back, catching your footing before you tumble.
Ah. You'd forgotten you were wearing a vest. That sure is more comfortable than being shot again.
Wait. She was pointing at your head. Why'd she shoot your chest?

With a grunt, you straighten out, looking directly into Kris' eyes. A mixture of shock and horror in her eyes.
"Vass. Stop. Just-"

You take another step forwards and she shoots you again. Ready for it, you let the impact flow through you, carefully staying upright. Ow.
Stopping the entire momentum of the bullet with your chest... The impact is definitely doing some damage to your soft tissue, you're finding it hard to breath. But you can't stop. Not now.

You keep your head level. Her eyes are fixed on you. Wait, does she even realize she's not actually killing you? Is she doing that unconsciously?
She shoots again when you take the third step. One more to go. By God your lungs are feeling bruised now.

Tears are streaming down her face now. "Please. Don't make me-"

You close the last pace, slipping under her extended arm and pulling her into your arms. You press your lips to hers.
The strength in her body fades, her arm dropping to her side as she lets you kiss her.
You break the contact, lean your forhead against hers. She's so cute when she's crying.

"I love you."

Her pistol makes a soft clank as it hits the metal grating.

"Come on you little demon. We've gotta go."
Strength starts returning to your muscles, and you let her heave you back onto your feet. The sounds of a heavy firefight from just the other side of the door pull your attention.

"Wha's... going onn?" Your words are sluggish, your mouth not wanting to form properly.

Vasa answers quickly. "Some bad men are trying to kill us again. We need another way out."

Kris, curled up on one of the chairs, calls out quietly. "There's a back way out. Down below. Out the sewer tunnels."

"Okay. We'll take the sewers then," you tell them. Vasa nods, then runs to the door.

"Guys, let's go." She pulls the door open a little further in order to fire her rifle through the gap while Ice pulls an injured Viktor through. Viktor doesn't stop firing his machine gun the entire time.

"We can't fight them all," Kris says quietly as Vasa slams the door shut and quickly sets about booby-trapping it. "They're just the vanguard. I had an entire regiment standing by for the order. The tanks will be storming through already. They'll be half-way here by now. They want this place no matter what. And they definitely want to see us all dead now."

"Well that's just great," Ice grumbles. "So we run. We hide. There's gotta be a way, right?"

Kris shakes her head. "I don't know."

You silence the negativity with a few words. "Come on! Let's get out of here already!"

You turn to leave when Kris stops you. "Loli... Dave's charges are still primed. This place, it's our- it's their objective. Dave wanted to stop us, stop anyone, getting their hands on this stuff. Stop the Zone from spreading outside the borders." She hands you the detonator. "There's enough cord here to get to a safe distance. If you want."

You lead the others down the catwalk to the next level as Kris indicates, finding your knife in a drying pool of blood as you do. You retrieve it, quickly cleaning it. Dave is nowhere to be seen, but there's a trail of blood leading in the direction you're headed. It stops after a little while, but you guess Dave is, as always, a few steps ahead of you.

A loud bang sounds from the lab above, Vasa snickering to herself.
Kris nudges you. "If you want to blow it, now's the time."

Your thoughts on the boy and how he'll never forgive you for this, you press the button. The electrical spark takes its fraction of a second to pass down the line to the charges, then the entire room behind you is filled with explosions. Every single level, both above and below, are engulfed in fire. The entire laboratory is torn to pieces.

The men already inside didn't stand a chance. Not even time to scream. You drop the detonator and continue along the narrow corridor to a wall grate onto a pipe that leads lower. Kris hurries you all through it into the sewer tunnels.

It's a short way along here before you find yourself exiting out into the dried river running alongside the city. With a quick look around to ensure the place is clear, the five of you exit the sewer pipe and clamber up to the bank.

Right in time for an armored vehicle to come swerving around the corner of the building. The ramp drops and ten men in full military gear swarm out, drop into position and steady their rifles on you all.

The sound of another vehicle from your left, and a helicopter bursts into view overhead, swinging around and dropping ropes onto the far river bank.

There's nowhere to run.
And there's no way you'll be able to fight through them in time.

A howl. Close. It pierces the air, pierces your mind. The howl of howls. A noise that loud, you're sure it would be heard from across the entire Zone.
And somehow, you understand exactly what that howl is saying.

She is in trouble.
Kill them all.

Faltering at the suddenness of the mutant's bellow, the men who were about to kill you go into a panic, turning to spot the source. Doggy stands on the roof of the building behind them, staring hungrily down at them.

They steady on him instead, ready to gun him down.
Before a huge mass of fur and muscle explodes through the wall of buildings on their flank, smashing into the side of their vehicle and flipping it over in a scream of metal and a shower of rubble.

[ ]Join in the fray! KILL THEM ALL!

This. This is the moment in which we decide we are a girl of a piece of the Zone. Choose.

More will come. Escape, and hope Doggy and Fluffy does the same.

THERE'S ONLY TEN ON THIS SIDE OF THE RIVER. WE CAN RIP THEM APART, THEN MOW THE OTHERS DOWN.

Lay down a bunch of fire as we leave, help out our animal friends as we make our escape
>>
>>34673875
Ten came out of one APC. The helicopter has more (and god forbid it could have some dangerous guns on it as well) and then there's a second APC. And then there's the ones you haven't seen yet. So let's make it at least 25 for now, with more incoming before we'll have torn through them all.
>>
>>34673819
This is the part where that pesudogiant comes out of nowhere and throws the APC into the helicopter, right?
>>

Fucking this, we can't stay and fight, we'll get slaughtered eventually.

Yes, if we hadn't failed to tame it. Which we did, almost lost our arm because of it.

>>
>>34673967
And I am forever sad we didn't get to make friends with it and name it something stupid
>>
Please guys, remember they have an entire regiment available. That's more guys than the bullets carried by your entire team. Just please, make Vasa proud this once and skip the fight. Otherwise, you won't have a Vasa to make proud anymore.

This Anon's right. We need to keep our team alive; I wanna see if Vasa-nee will ruffle our hair when we tell her about how the knife throwing she taught us saved us.
>>
>>34673819

Sorry Doggy and Fluffy, I'd love to stay but we kind of need to get out of here alive.

>[X]Take this moment. Take everyone and run.

You grab Vasa's hand as you spin on the spot and run for the one direction not currently full of bad guys, back into the city. A noise causes you to look back over your shoulder as you run, in time to see the helicopter swarmed by a mass of black crows converging from all directions. Three men plummet to their deaths from the ropes as they try to descend. Then you're around the corner and can't see it any more.

You rush along the back street to the next corner, flinching back when the end of the street is filled with the silhouette of a man aiming his gun right at you. He doesn't get a chance to fire though before he's knocked to the ground and torn to pieces, his screams missing with the growls and barks of the pack of dogs tearing into him.

Rushing past the dogs and onto the main road, you see a small off-road jeep on your left being swarmed by very angry rodents. On your right, another boar is leading a pack of fleshes to wreak havoc through a bunch of parked trucks. You can see some of the poor animals are already bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds and two are corpses on the ground. But the men are certainly faring no better.
"Well this is something I never thought I'd live to see," Ice comments in ragged breaths, Viktor still draped over his shoulders.

The screams and gunshots coming from every single direction are throwing off your ability to pick a good direction to flee. You pause for a moment, circling in the open trying to work out which way to go.

And before you can decide, you hear a familiar rumbling sound. From the left, the shape of an Eliza-like tank appears around the corner. After a moment of acquiring a target, its main gun fires and annihilates the overrun jeep, along with almost all the poor little rodents. The survivors quickly scatter into the buildings on either side of the street. Then its gun adjusts to aim at you.

[1/2]
>>
>>34674217
I knew there was a reason we bought Vasa those RPGs

If only we had Eliza's circuit board to shove into this tank
>>
>>34674264
That's what you have annoying Daves who refuse to die for.
>>
>>34674217
Its machine gun kicks into life, a line of concrete explosions leading right up to. Reflexively, you push Kris out the way. The bullets find their mark, smashing into you and throwing you to the ground. The pain seers through your entire frame, you can feel blood spurting and draining from cuts and holes across your body.

You can hear your friends screaming your name, but they sound distant.
It hurts.
You vaguely feel your body hit the floor.
It hurts.

An unearthly roar, and the crashing and screeching of tortured metal. Like a huge tin can being ripped open.
It hurts.
The sky above you is blue, unclouded. It's been a while since you've seen clear skies in the Zone.
It. HURTS.

"Don't you DARE," Vasa shouts into your face.

"Come on. We're getting out of here. No you don't get a choice in the matter."

Sharp pains run through you. You can feel her hands below you. The cold floor disappears. Ah. She's carrying you.

She starts to run.
It hurts.
Every step sends a jarring shock through your body.

Vasa stops running. You're in an alleyway. She sets you down gently. "Kris! Help me with this."
She starts opening a door to an old building. It looks like a school. She gets it open, helps Ice and Viktor through, then moves to grab you again.

Another explosion rips at the world. It throws Vasa backwards. Your head lolls to the side, just enough to pick out a group of men rushing down the alley towards you. One of them steadies his rocket launcher again and fires. The rocket his the building, tearing through the concrete supports and collapsing the door in front of Vasa. You're alone with the men in this alley.

"Captain, we've secured the Objective. Targets are fleeing West. Roger that, holding position."

"Extraction's coming. Spread out, I don't want any-"
The man's thoughts are cut short by a rapid stream of bullets that drops all five men dead as can be around you.

In the fading darkness, you see a bloodied figure walking off-kilter towards you. It stops above you, a familiar and much-missed accent fills your ears.

"Steady, childe. You are, safe now. Though you must, listen to me. Ie hafe a way, out. For all of us. Iff, yhou choose to join us. Take my hkand. Leave the Zone behkind. Or stay, and die where you belong."

A hollow handle compromises structural stability for only a small amount of supply space.
She'd be more likely to use a Fairbairn Sykes knife in combat, or maybe a smaller version of this or something similar.
>>

>A hollow handle compromises structural stability for only a small amount of supply space.
only if its made poorly, a CRK HH design is more than strong enough

but yes, a Randall model 1 would be good, or a Scuba/Demo SOG

Easy. Either she just uses more knife, or she asks her big sis if it's good. She's a smart sister.

>[X]Choose Life. Take his hand.

With the last of your strength, you reach up and grip the offered hand. A small stone is clasped in his palm. He pushes it into yours, carefully closing your fingers around it.

Immediately, you can feel your body change, your wounds closing and stitching themselves back together. You feel the pain recede as strength returns and the darkness retreats from your vision.

Dave's stupid grin shines down at you. "Ghood, good. Now come." He pulls your onto your feet. You notice that despite the blood on his clothing, there's no mark from where your knife hit him. He pulls out a little device from his jacket. "Hnnn~ Satellites in place... There." He grins at you, showing you his screen. On it, you can see a birds' eye of yourself and Dave talking in the alley. The next street over has a tank pointing away from you, and on the far side of the building from you, your friends are exiting the building and trying to circle around to your position again.
"Let us, retrieve the others."

"You said we had a way out. Together."

His grin stretches to display every single one of his teeth. "The call hkas already, been made."

>>
>>34675050
You rush around to meet the others. Kris reacts badly to Dave's sudden presence, cowering behind Vasa, who quickly prepares to take him down. But he apparently doesn't even notice her and you manage to calm Vasa.
He tells you all that there's a space a little distance away that you can be retrieved from. Using Dave's screen, the trip is easy as heck and you don't run into any more of the battling soldiers or mutants.

Securing the courtyard only take a few quick shots from Dave and Vasa to clear the 4 men holding it against your assault. Though they have a chance to call in your position before they blink out of existence.

You hunker down in the clearing, watching all the approaches. Dave helpfully tells you "They'll be here any minute now."

>Loli (42 + 10) = 52

>Kris (53 + 33) = 86
>Ice (2 + 3) = 5
>Viktor (23 + 76) = 99
>Dave (74 + 19) = 93

The attack comes from every direction. There are so many bullet flying that you don't even know which direction to look.

Kris is pinned behind a column, firing blind at her attackers. Vasa is trying to cover her, but she's abandoned her rifle and is letting loose with her pistol. Viktor's resting with his back to a wall and firing a constant stream of death from his machine gun. You hack your way through the sixth man to try forcing this door.

There's no end to them! You hear a shout from behind, a cry of despair from Kris and a roar of rage from Viktor.

You turn to see Ice falling, his chest riddled with holes.
You cry out. You take a step towards him when the breach you're covering explodes into you, another soldier rushing in with a shotgun. The blast knocks you off your feet, and once more you're staring at the sky. With the open space of the courtyard, there's no buildings to get in the way of the view. At least you'll die with a view this pretty.

Though you'd prefer if that whine would go away. Who's making that? Really now. It's so loud. Like a jet engine or something. Why can't it just go away? No, stop getting closer.
Something big and black fills your vision. Blotting out the blue.

The whine is deafening now. The giant shape sets itself down right in the middle of the courtyard. You blink a few times to focus on it. It's... an aircraft? You've never seen anything like it.
A ramp on the back drops, like on those big helicopters. Four men in big metal suits rush down the ramp. They spread out, firing great massive guns in all directions. The soldiers fall back from you.

One of the men kneels down next to you, carefully sitting you up.
"Your carriage awaits, my Lady."

The man drags you up the ramp, sitting you down on the seats lining either side of the interior. Kris is rushed up the ramp by Vasa, who both take seats beside you. Another armored man drops Viktor gently across from you. With the gun finally out of ammo, he drops the steaming hunk of metal onto the deck and collapses into the seat. Dave is the last man onto the ramp, hitting the button to close the door as someone tells the pilots to lift off.

The metal machine begins to rock and sway under you, the engines keening with more power, pushing you up into the air. Suddenly, Doggy appears from between the buildings across the street, sprinting right for you. One of the men brings his gun up, ready to fire but Dave steps in and pushes the man's barrel down again.

With the aircraft lifting into the air, Doggy leaps and scrabbles his way onto the ship. Disregarding everyone else, he jumps into your lap, settling his body across the three seats to your side not already taken by Vasa, Kris or your mysterious saviours.

The ramp slams shut, sealing you from the sights of battle below as you're ferried away from the Zone.

Dave crosses the compartment to squat before you, coming down to your eye level.
"Whell. Ie know yhou are eager to rest. Hkowever, Ie believe yhou agreed, to join us~."

>true end
>learned nothing about shota
>learned nothing about what the fuck we actually are
>know nothing about where we are, who dave actually is, where we're going or what is happening

>true end

No, no, no. This was basically the Control end from SoC. Something weird happens, no idea what, then came over. If this were the true end, we'd have had the equivalent of the dickbag hologram guy give us a general idea of what the fuck is the deal.
>>
So, what, no epilogue? No finding out about what happens to the gang during the near future?

I'm secretly not so secretly hoping this means Herr Kaleun is thinking of maybe doing a sequel. But since I don't know much about the games, I don't even know if that's possible. Have we gone through all the S.T.A.L.K.E.R storyline?
>>
>>34675954
>learned nothing about shota
>learned nothing about what the fuck we actually are
Probably something to do with creating supersoldiers and/or psychics, given our ridiculous durability for a twelve year old, shota's mindreading shit, and that one dream hinting at supernatural shit.
>>
>>34675954
You say that like Loli cares about those things anon, she doesn't, she's alive, her friends are alive minus poor Ice, and she's getting out of here and gets to stay with her friends and Doggy.

The only thing that could make this better is if Ice were alive and we had loads of chocolate.
>>
>>34676016
I believe we started out being slightly behind the protag of SoC, then after the monolith timeskip we were walking a few steps behind the protag of CoP. But it never mattered because we had nothing to do with either.
>>
>>34676016
>Have we gone through all the S.T.A.L.K.E.R storyline?
Nigga we barely even TOUCHED the game's storyline. Remember way the hell back when we overheard the Barkeep asking some guy about documents from X18? Remember how the tunnels by the swamp were cleared out ahead of us? That was Strelok. That was the game's PC going through the game's plot. We had nothing to do with it.

Now, that said, the game basically has no epilog either. You shoot some tubes, Strelok stretches out in a field and wonders if he's actually fucked up or not, shrugs, and basically says "well, I ain't dead, that works."
>>
>>34675954
I think Kaleun promised to answer meta questions.

However, I think we can also infer this much and I also wanna do one last shot at guessing what happened.
>What are Loli/Shota
Most likely, we are artificial lifeforms and even biological weapons created using stuff from the Zone
>Who did we join
Whatever Dave was a part of. I think their main goal is to contain and possibly destroy the Zone. They're likely the setting's equivalent of SCP or Delta Green.

Well, given that Dave is a member of "Delt-", it seems like his version of the STALKER setting is somehow tied to the Cthulhu mythos. Which just makes that lab even creepier.

Or shota was reading false information out of a crazy pill-less Dave.
>>
>>34676535
HK isn't really slow when he's actually paying attention to the quest. He's not the fastest around, but given that he usually takes time to try to include as much of the input as he can, he does well enough.
>>
What a mess. This entire scenario could have ended so cleanly, but everyone just had to try to get in on the action themselves. Well, I can grumble as much as I like but at the end of the day, saving the world is on my head. They have their own goals. And not all of them are our benefit.

I look up from my monitor to see the strike team's Captain enter my office. "Well, let's hear the report."

"Sir. Medical checks have come in. The ex-tanker is healing well. He's been offered a position on our team but has requested some time to consider the offer. Both girls are in good health, though the civilian has been found to be pregnant. She has opted to keep it. The defector has asked to remain with the Project alongside the mutant."

"Yes. The mutant. Have you contacted the good Doctor?"

"Yes Sir. He has been informed of her recovery, and of her decision to join the Project. He has given his blessing to her decision and has offered his own services as well."

"Interesting. I would have thought he would not wish to abandon that pretty wife of his."

"Ah... He had the displeasure informed me that she was a GRU sleeper, Sir. He has... dealt with the issue."

"Hmm. A shame." I lean back in my leather chair, letting the frame take my weight. "Still, his assistance would be most appreciated."

"Sir... if I may ask," the Captain hesitates.
>>
I know where he's going with this. "About the mutant, yes?" He nods. "Indeed. Making an enemy of the GRU like this is definitely going to bite us in the ass, but it's not like they left me a choice. I fear we're going to need that girl's psionic powers. And very soon at that. Not to mention the Operative's assistance in bringing us information has more than warranted our intervention here."

"Ah, speaking of the Operative, Sir." The young Captain's face lights up. I lean forward to listen closer. I love hearing good news. "One of his sleeper agents contacted us a short while ago. A strange boy approached him, asking after the mutant and requesting to be brought to her. We believe it to be the second escaped experiment."

"Fantastic. Dispatch a team to escort him in at once."

"I've already notified them, Sir."

With a smile, I dismiss him with a wave. He turns on his heel and exits my office.

But hot damn I do love me some good news.

So, summing the implications and speculations out of this.

Implied:
>Everyone is okay
>Vik (the ex-tanker) might be joining the strike team
>Vasa (the civilian) is pregnant, no mention of what this "project" intends to do with her
>Kris (the defector) wants to stay with Loli (doing what?)
>Loli (the mutant) will join the project (doing what?)
>shota is on his way, his intentions and what the project intends to do with him is unknown
>no mention of doggy

Speculated:
>the good doctor and his wife could be papa and mama
>he may have dealt with this project previously but it's not outright stated
>this whole thing may be Delta Green, based on what shota was about to say when Dave shot him
>or it could be X-Com related based on the image of the aircraft that provided extraction
>or it's not any of those things and I have no fucking clue

Did I miss anything?
>>
>>34677823

>>34677823

>>
>>34677823

>>
>>34677823
Doggy's status is as nebulous as his existance in this quest.
>>
>>34677913
>Dave's (the operative) future wasn't specifically mentioned but he'll probably keep doing whatever the fuck he specifically does. Being Dave I guess.

>>
>>34677898
GRU is Russian intelligence. The same guys who'll be iffy because of these guys swooping in and stealing their toys. Should not be mistaken for an implication that this organization is specifically American (but it might be) or anti-Russian in any way besides not wanting Russia to have this particular toy.
>>
>>34677252
On one hand, the smut will be filled with despair. And yet Kris experimentation is a pro on its own.

I would say post it up.
>>
>>34677889
But Kaleun, these points

>this whole thing may be Delta Green, based on what shota was about to say when Dave shot him
>or it could be X-Com related based on the image of the aircraft that provided extraction

Priority, then, is finding a Sectoid Commander and interrogating the shit out of him so we can unlock Loli's Psionic potential. In the meantime, our short-term goal is RUSHING LASERS GODDAMIT
>>
>>34685235
Always had unconfirmed psionics. But it does make for an interesting little change in such a scenario. The aliens are very interested in human psionics so did they have a hand in the experiments in the zone? Would explain why Dave wrecked everything. And it would definitely make a very real image of the "fate worse than death" that Dave talked about. Aliens would have a great time if they abducted her.

The important question though is, what happens when nutkick an ethereal.
>>
File: 2014-08-30_00006.jpg (83 KB, 1280x800)

83 KB JPG
>>34685521

A very real possibility--but I'm thinking that it was human interest in attempting to unlock Psionics themselves that led to the creation of the C-Consciousness and, by extension, The Zone. Ethereals picked up on that brief spike in Psionic energy, and are on their way to earth as the Zone expands with every Blowout.

And while nutshotting an Ethereal would be an interesting sight, I'd rather see what happens to an Ethereal caught out in the open in the middle of a Blowout. I just personally can't wait to see Loli hijack a Floater and ride him like she would Doggy.
>>
>>34685723
If we're going to be using child soldiers, then putting them in the air would definitely be an interesting concept. Assuming they can support the equipment then the lighter body would make them ideal candidates for jetpack shenanigans, having the potential to go much faster. With some development on the subject (and you know that someone down in the labs will have been dreaming to do a project like this) you might find yourself deploying child-sized psionic fighter jets darting around the field, laying suppressive fire from above and divebombing enemy commanders.
>>
>>34685723
Shota claimed that Dave caused the Zone. CC might not exist at all here.
>>
So assuming important dates from STALKER hold true, we have:

>2006
The Zone as we know it is created. If Shota told the truth and Dave is somehow responsible for the Zone, then it'd be fair to assume that event replaces the noosphere mass experiment conducted by CC.

>2012
The events of SoC and CoP occur here. Based on various hints throughout the quest, LSQ also takes place in this year. Loli is stated to be 12, so assuming she's not misinformed of her own age and assuming regular aging, we can trace her "birth" to 2000.

According to that, Loli would have been just 6 when shit hit the fan. According to what Kris read off the computers, she was saved by Papa. Shota, being estimated as "maybe slightly older than you" would probably have been no more than 7, yet he somehow escaped on his own. Lolis loss of memory may have occurred as a result of the incident, or it may have been done by Papa somehow for the purpose of concealing her. Seeing as she wasn't picked up by the military, he was probably successful in that until the beginning of LSQ.

"They" probably figured out who she was shortly after the incident at the Cordon, responding first by trying to capture her and resorting to trying to exploit her via Kris after the first failed attempt. In that case, Kris wouldn't have entered the zone until some time after Loli did.

We still don't know who Vasas father is or if his entering the zone is related to everything else in any way. No idea when either entered the Zone.
>>
>>34689916
>We still don't know who Vasas father is or if his entering the zone is related to everything else in any way. No idea when either entered the Zone.
Well when choco shota was telling us about how he could read minds and what was going on with our friends he said she already knew her papa was dead and she was just following us along because it was safest.
>>
>>34690371
He did. But that doesn't mean he is dead, it means she believes that he's already dead. He can't really verify if the mind he's reading actually knows the truth or not, just as what he read out of Dave may not been the exact truth, just what Dave was thinking when he read his mind.
>>
>>34689916
Something that's interesting to note is that if those dates are correct, there are 6 years between the Dave incident and LSQ where the lab was left intact, neither destroyed by Dave or reclaimed by "them". Both would have known the location, so what forced them to wait? Were both parties waiting for Loli to reveal herself because they wanted the whole prize, not just the documents, or was shota actually successfully keeping them away until he lowered his guard because of Loli? Or maybe they were being held back by the Brain Scorcher and couldn't get in until Strelok went and did his thing?

>>34690371
>>34690702
Aside from the question of whether he's dead, it's also interesting to wonder who he is or was. I don't think any of the character names from the games fit, but obviously you can't really trust a stalker to be using his proper name in the first place. So there are tons of candidates.
