"That makes sense." Hikaru says, she takes the bag full of trash and sets it next to the door after that she returns to the living room. She heads over to the couch you're sitting on and sits next to you. After a really awkward pause she begins to speak.

"Wakana you seem to know a lot of things about girls and stuff." she says tentatively

"I do." you say.

"What should I do when she wakes up?" Hikaru says nervously. "I mean I didn't really expect her to stay with me in my room last night...and it seems like she wants to be with me but I dunno.."

"Don't worry about it. Just talk about stuff." you say, you wonder if you should even be giving advice right now since you're in between three girls and a hard place.

"What kind of stuff? Give me something to work with here." she says.

"Like...uh..Student council stuff. Normal stuff." you say. "And then kiss some more or something."

Hikaru stares at you for a moment and then hangs her head. "If you say so." she says as she heads to the kitchen, after a beat she walks back out of the kitchen and points to you.

Oh right. Aimi said to meet at the cafe she works at around one. "Shit." you say as you scramble towards the door and dash straight to your house for a shower and a change of clothes. Aimi may not be your first choice but that doesn't mean you shouldn't look good.

After you greet your mom, head upstairs and shower. You lay out several articles of clothing and try to decide on what to wear.

Previous chapter makes my final choice pretty easy as it always was between two, and now one is out of the running. And the feeling I've gotten is she's always been the most popular of those remaining.

As a kaikofag i just wanna say i expect some aaaangst.

After painstakingly selecting your choice of clothes, you opt for a plain dress shirt and jeans. It's semi formal in a way. You linger on your leather jacket for a bit, it might be too hot to wear it today but damn do you want to. Instead you just grab a pair of sunglasses.

You decide to wear your hair down as well. It looks pretty good this way, in fact you're looking really good right now. You check yourself out in the mirror for a few minutes before remembering you have a date to get to. You head downstairs with a spring in your step.

"Mom don't wait up for me ok? I'm probably going to be eating out tonight." you say as you poke your head into the living room. Your mom looks up from her laptop and smiles at you as she takes off her headset. Recently she's been playing a lot of MMOs to keep herself entertained.

"That's alright, have fun with your friends." she says. "Wakana-chan is growing up so fast. Soon you'll be out of the house leaving your poor mom alone"

You narrow your eyes at your mom. Her jokes get a little weird at times "Says the lady that was yelling at her friends on the game for who knows what late at night."

"It was important. If you die in this game you end up dropping items. I had a valuable item on my character." she explains.

When you finally make it to the cafe Aimi works at. You see her standing outside looking impatient. You're only about ten minutes late since the station was pretty crowded today making it hard to navigate out of station.

As you approach Aimi, her face goes from irritation to a mix of excitement and curiosity. "I like that look on you." she says smiling.

You eye her from behind your sunglasses, today it seems she decided to opt for some really short shorts and a pink camisole. "You look really good yourself."

Aimi smiles at your compliment and wraps her arm around yours. "Where are we heading?"

"Great, let's go." she says as she leads you towards the shopping district arm in arm. You look kind of like a couple with your arms linked like this, but this is a date date so you guess that's what she's going for? You decide to enjoy it at any rate since the way she's holding your arm makes it so that it's resting on one of her boobs.

Aimi gives you a wicked smile. "Oh? I like your abs. Do you work out?"

The time in the store stays innocent enough besides a few probably intentional gropes. You and Aimi try on dresses and take pictures of yourselves until the store associate realizes you're not actually going to buy anything and escorts you out.

"That store is a little beyond my wallet to be honest." you say. Buying one dress in there would equal like three weeks of allowance and unfortunately you spent a good chunk of it eating expensive desserts with Kazuko and buying beer.

"Good idea, we can grab a cheap picnic blanket and everything." she says as she pulls you towards the nearest convenience store.

After Aimi buys the food and the blanket, you both head to the park and find a somewhat secluded spot to settle down. Aimi said she wanted to be away from the rowdy kids so it's pretty reasonable to be so far away from everyone else right?

As you both sit on the blanket and eat, Aimi snuggles up to your right shoulder while rubbing her hand on your knee. "You know, you're kind of sweet for taking me out even if you didn't really want to." she says. "I haven't really been dating recently so it's nice."

Aimi hovers over you, with that trademark smile of hers and her intentions pretty clear. You smile back up at her.

It's pretty clear both sides are samefagging to be honest, but final destination won't do shit, so why don't we just discuss it instead?

Personally I think it's a mistake from Wakana's perspective, not because doing it with Aimi is an inherently bad idea but because of her general romantic situation. If it wasn't for that I'd even call it a fine idea. But, it is like that and I won't dispute it likely being a sub-optimal move for Wakana's romantic prospects.

At the same time, I also feel it's a believeable choice from Wakana, it could have some good results, and probably won't have as big a fall-out as many predict (Haruka might not even mind at all, though it can be hard to read her). So I voted for going along.
