You groggily pull yourself free of Sara's grasp, extricating yourself from a pile of blankets and snoozing spiders. You stretch to shake off the morning's cobwebs before rummaging through the night's leftovers. Food in hand, you sit and watch the sunrise.

Mom hadn't mentioned anything of the sort, but you can't help but assume that your new sleeping pattern is tied to the new form. You don't get tired as easily, sleep less- but you're eating more. Twice a day would fill your stomach before, and now you find yourself getting pangs throughout the day. You've taken up your old human habits of snacking as you go, and it's gone a long way- but you're neck and neck with Mom for largest meals.

Her disheveled head pops up from the sleeping pile, as though in response to your thoughts, and she nods before going about her morning routine. With her stretches finished you follow her up the tree- The two of you have taken to practising in the mornings. It's easier for her to focus on Aria during the days, and you're sidetracked by Sara's growing text on mana control and the need to keep your hunger sated.
>>
>>34483725

Padded weapons glance off each other as you run through drills, side by side. Sparring takes second place, now- You're nowhere near her level of experience , but with the basics you can hold your own. At least until she pulls out the dirty fighting. You've gotten a whole encyclopaedia of 'Cheap shots for Arachne' now- From laying web while fighting, using lines to switch positions faster than you can move, to simpler things like grappling and using your absurd strength to shatter weapons.

After another 'friendly' spar ends with your legs askew in the air, you can hear your sibling stirring below. Mom pulls you to your feet, and you both clean up before heading down to the nest. Conversation over breakfast is muted as everyone scarfs down the spread. Sara eyes you over the meal, books ever present at her side.

Regardless- Mom hasn't got anything urgent for you to take care of, so the day is up to you.

Give me a d100 with your decision, please.

Actually, that crossbow might be really good for Elle. Being a sniper and hunter probably would work better for her.

Blugh, I'm finally awake. Seems the vote's well underway. So, other topics.
We should totally try to figure out how to lacquers and composite fabric. If we can find some kind of quick drying sap or other liquid-that-dries-hard, we could pour it over webbing in a mold to make strong, rigid materials.
Hardest parts are actually making a kiln to cook clay molds, and finding a good sticky liquid.
>>
>>34484835
Mom had that chemical we used for the spears. Ask her what it's made of/where to get more, then?
>>
You resign yourself to the fact that you'll be spending the morning as a magical guinea pig. The sooner it's over, the better, right?

Sara's smile almost makes it worth it.

Now it's just a matter of not being lit on fire.

You grab Elle on the way out of the nest, despite your smallest sister's impatient tugging on your arm. It takes a few minutes of explaining, but you turn over the crossbow, letting her know how they work. She seems excited at the prospect of hunting without having to get anywhere near her prey.

The crossbow looks fragile in her hands as she heads out. Well, even if she breaks it, she'd probably figure out how to make a new one. It'd be better with a stronger wood and spider silk for string. Maybe you can try your hand at crafting later.

As soon as she's got you separated from Elle, Sara drags you full speed for the river. Drag might be a strong word- You doubt she could have pulled you unwillingly before. Now it'd be completely impossible.

Making no efforts to conceal yourselves, the trip over is comparably quiet- The forest critters of the day know better than to show themselves in front of an evolved Arachne. It's almost disappointing. You're still a bit hungry, and you wouldn't mind the distraction of an attack if it meant you'd get some more food before the work started.

The river is the same as always- sparkling, clear, endlessly flowing. The two of you move out from the light cover of the treeline, wading into the river to start your practice. Sara sets up her books on a wide stone, and launches into a lesson on elements and magical safety, straight out of her textbook. The irony is palpable.
>>
>>34484916
What'd that chemical do exactly? I can't recall.
In lieu of that, we could try collecting sap from various types of trees around here and hoping one of them dries fast.
>>
>>34484949

"-and of course, the most important thing to remember is that magic, above all, is dangerous. To use it against your fellow student, even in jest is to- Are you laughing?"
"No, no, of course not. Magic is dangerous, yes?"
"Mhm. Even for the caster. Mishandling mana causes explosions, spell effects, even magical mishaps. The book says someone even turned blue!"
"What, like, permanently?"
"All of their skin!"
"I hope we don't get anything like that. The red is enough, yes?"

She nods sagely, crossing her thin arms over her chest.
"So, what is first, then?"
"We'll work through the remaining elements- We've narrowed it down pretty far, yes. Earth, fire, ice or metal. It could be one of the really strange ones, like sight or sound, or blood. Probably not sight, the book says it would show in your eyes."
She mutters off about species exclusive magical effects, and something about harpies before you manage to distract her.
"What about healing, or something along those lines?"

Her eyes light up again.
"Magical healing is a bit of a sticking point for scholars, yes?" She says as she gestures about. "It has a clear effect, but is distant from traditional magic. There's no chanting, and healers don't really understand mana control- not in the way mages do. There is a debate on whether they use mana at all! Healers usually come from human 'jobs'. Druids, priests, that sort of thing. There's monsters that can do it, too, but they're less common."
"Is it a faith thing then? Or, something like intent?"
"People don't know!"

She readies herself, leaning easily against the rock. You can feel the mana curl around her, thickening in the air around you.
"Let's start!"

It's getting easier at least. As Sara guides you through chants, you're definitely starting to grasp how to cast spells. The flow of mana into the intent, guided by the words. Controlling the misfires is harder, but you can tamp down on the mana itself, snuffing the magic before it can consume too much and detonate in your face.

And if you can't, well, you're fast enough to dump it into the river at least. Fire singes at your fingers before hissing into a pillar of steam. An ice floe makes its way down the river, sure to confuse anyone who sees it. Metal does nothing at all, just a spark and a flash as the mana blazes.

But earth- Earth is different. As you chant, as the mana circles your hands, you can feel the stones beneath your feet, the same way you can feel your own skin. The water tickles at the stones, the wind whispers along them. Tree roots grasp and crush beneath the surface. And far below, stones slide on heat unbearable, the slow, solemn movement of power far beyond your own.

You come back to yourself as the spell activates- It's nothing like the clean spells Sara casually summons, but it certainly isn't the mana consuming detonation of your previous attempts. You can feel the mana burn, and an answer from beneath- and a pillar of stone rises up from beneath you, splitting into jutting spikes as the water rushes past them.
>>
>>34487063
Sara lets out an excited squeal, dashing towards you and leaping, hanging from your neck with an expression of pure joy.

"It worked! I was right! Even without internal control, you can cast if you have a supply- This is, this is great, this is exciting!"
"I can't really cast without you, though."
She smiles back, satisfaction evident across her features.
"Don't worry, I'll be there so you can practice as much as you like. I can teach you! There's all sorts of spells- I bet I can even generate mana for you while casting on my own- Oh, e should definitely try that. And then we can..."

Your afternoon proceeds exactly as you'd imagine. Sara grills you on spells and chants, running repetition on basic spells till you can repeat them without so much as a stutter. Before the sun is overhead, you can call up walls of stones, punch spikes up from the ground and mould stone and earth like clay. Sandcastles, however, do lose a bit of entertainment when you can just will it to exist.

After overseeing your introduction to magic proper, Sara opts to practice her own. Bolts of power, sizzling orbs, whirling lights and more. She's a one-spider lightshow. With a quick run down of her own spells, she pulls you back in, giving her all to the idea of tandem casting. It's not quite so successful.

One or the other draws too much power, weakening one spell and miscasting the other. Sometimes, they miscast together, creating utterly bizarre effects, Like a blue glowing stone that promptly melts into a hissing puddle.
>>
>>34487084
You'd think she'd get frustrated, but with every strange result her smile grows wider. Eventually, with noon fading overhead, she calls your practice to a halt, dashing for her books. Chattering on excitedly about combining spells and synchronous casting, and elemental bleed, she perches over the river writing feverishly.

It takes a bit of doing, but you manage to convince her down from the stone, reminding that there's no risk of dropping her work into a river at the nest. It's a race all the way back, Sara clutching her book to her chest as she hurtles through the woods. You follow alongside her, easily keeping pace till you arrive safely at home. She tears up the tree, settling in a corner of the nest with books all around as she records the afternoons events.

Mom shoots you a look of pity as she crawls down the tree, Aria slung over her back.

With your little mage sufficiently distracted, you've got a few options.

All things considered, earth is a pretty damn good element.
We should try figuring out clay and metal business. Or purchase some working tools from the village.
>>
>>34487512
Clearly this means we need to bring one of our ragged excuses for clothing to her and profess our undying admiration of her abilities and beg her to teach us the ways of silk.
>>
>>34487781
I have a feeling we're going to wind up making utilitarian and simple things like bags and superdense cloth tunics, and she's going to make all the actually good stuff like real clothes and articulated armors.
>>
>>34487853
Well the crossbow is a step towards the militaristic pursuits. So instead of terrible clothing we need to bring awful armor. Establish the feelings of a family dynamic, she kits us, we fight.
>>
>>34487888
Yeah, about right. It's her talent and all.
I think we might want to suggest net fishing to her, or try it ourselves. It seems like a great lazy hunting method.
>>
Anyone can bother me a summary of what happened so far? Archive is down for me for some reason.
>>
>>34488077
Like, all together?
We got killed by a train and reborn as a spider girl. We went through babydom, and made friends with our family members. Then we met the harpy neighbors, and made friends with one of them while we went hunting together. We fought a sparkwolf, which made mom start training us more thoroughly than the other kids. Later, we were called on to save a moth person from a dungeon, because our mom was too big to fit inside.
All the while, our siblings have been developing specialties. Aria's a fighty type, sara's all magical, elle's getting good at weaving, and our brothers work in tandem perfectly and do most of the hunting.
And which archive are you using, I have like three.
>>
>>34488155
We also shanked a whole bunch of kobolds, looted their swords and turned them into a glaive, killed a trio of orcs hunting said moth girl, met a fuckhuge friendly spider in the caves, and now have a red carapace through magical spider evolution.
>>
>>34488077
I'm shit at summaries. Lyra was a human was murdered and reborn as a spider in a different plane of existence. We've got several siblings and we're apparently STRONK. I'm shit at summaries.

You leave your sisters to their pursuits: Magical research and being in far too much pain to move. Dropping down to the forest floor with ease, you pick an interesting direction and head off, keeping your pace even and your legs quiet.

You follow the sun, skittering through the trees to the thicker parts of the forest. The air grows quiet, thick with the scent of old growth- Months worth of leaves, dim sunlight, and whatever soft breeze manages to penetrate the wood. Your path becomes quickly complicated, forcing you over and around when trees grow too tight for you to fit.

As you travel further, the trees grow twisted, leafless, choking each other from sun and water. The stench of decay grows omnipresent, heavy. You reach the edge of the broken forest, and find yourself in a swamp.

Murky water laps at the shore before you- a twisting, fetid river winding its way through scraggly trees. You pick your way through the undergrowth, trying to pick scents here or there of something living. Time passes without any luck- aside from a growing sensation trickling down your spine.

You draw to a halt, sidling into the cover of the trees, and wait- Something is definitely following you. Putting your attention to the tremors of the ground, you can feel the soft footfalls- 5 sets, with a heavy thump accompanying 3 of them. You pull yourself up the tree, crouching in the cover of the hanging branches, and ready your weapon.
>>
You don't have to wait long. A sharp snap of brittle wood is followed by a short chorus of angry hissing- familiar hissing. You narrow all six of your eyes, baring your teeth in the shadow of the tree. A small party of lizards file into the clearing, noses searching this way and that for your scent.

There's two of the standard kind- stubby legged, long limbed, and armed with crude blades. The third has a crocodile skull tied to its head, brightly coloured feathers sticking off the back. A curled staff, topped with a brilliant gemstone is clutched in one hand, and a ragged cloak is wrapped around its shoulders. It's hard to repress a snicker. Is this supposed to be some sort of lizard adventuring party?

The final two clear the treeline, and immediately grab your attention. They stand head and shoulders over their brothers, heavily scaled, with longer legs and heavyset arms. Both have heavier weapons- thick wedges of rivermetal that resemble cleavers more than swords. The first of the giants snarls at the smaller lizard, reaching out and clipping it alongside the head. It makes frantic gestures of pacification, hissing all the while.

They were hunting you- tracking you. Whether they intended to kill you, or follow you back to the nest doesn't matter. You bite down a snarl, grip tightening on the spear. You feel your blood rise up, heart pounding. You step forward, branch bowing under your weight, and position yourself above the mage.

There's a slow motion moment, perfect in it's clarity. The branch bows further, the leaves on the vines dipping closer, trailing across the mages shoulder. He swats irritably at the string, turning to face the tree.

He looks up.

His eyes widen, mouth opening to shout a warning, a scream, a curse. You release your hold on the tree, dropping onto him spear first, skewering the mage and landing amidst your stalkers. The others turn to face you, disbelief, confusion and fear writ across their reptilian features.
>>
>>34491268
One of the giant lizards reacts immediately, an overhand chop hurtling towards your head. You step in, catching its arm with your free hand- a squeeze and a sharp twist rewards you with a vicious crunch of shattering bone. Its hiss turns high pitched and you yank it towards you, throwing to the ground and running the creature through with both legs- It gurgles, kicking twice before slumping down onto the muddy shore.

Turning on the remaining lizardmen with a snarl, you ready your spear again, advancing menacingly. One of the lizards staggers back, turning tail and diving into the murky water. The giant stares, jaw hanging as it watches the creature flee- You take advantage of the distraction, lunging forwards, a two handed swing tearing the head clear off the last lizard.

The blood spatters across the giants frame, and it turns to face you as you close in. You parry its final attempt, flipping its arm out and away from its body, slamming your spear home and bearing it to the ground. It flails as you stand over it, delivering a few short stabs as its struggles slow.

You stand in a blood smeared clearing, atop the bodies of your enemies. You aren't even breathing hard, though your heart thumps heavily as you wind down from combat.

Who in this swamp would be foolish enough to respond to such obvious bait?
>>
That was... disappointing, to be honest. The tension being hunted kinda vanished a soon as you realized you were capable of crushing bones one handed. You huck the bodies into a pile, pulling bit and pieces of loot free- a small pile of rivermetal, and the mage's staff managed to survive your trampling. You wrap them all, tucking them behind you as you work.

Bodies are wrapped, thrown up the tree, and you drag the mangled corpse of the little lizard with you, searching for an empty clearing. Maybe you can find something worth hunting.

It isn't much work to hang the monster upside down in the clearing, and you settle in the heavy brush lining the empty space. Now it's just a matter of waiting.

It takes a few hours to get a halfway decent bite- a few small wolf-like creatures, a filthy gnome and some sort of carnivorous rabbit make passes at the bait, but a hiss from you sends them scurrying for the swamp. You begin to doze, a half awake state of focus.

You snap out of it as a loud snuffling echoes around the trees- and what steps into the clearing looks like it's from some children's imagination. It's less a monster and more a comedic mash-up of animals. You'd laugh if your senses hadn't all keyed up as soon as it made it's presence known.

The creature is nearly as tall as you are, while on all fours- It's got a shaggy coat over its shoulders, and scaled claws. A ridge of spines runs down its back, and the whole thing is topped with a squat, bearlike head with a pair of monstrous tusks and a flat nose. It snorts and walks towards the body- You can see the flex of its absurd musculature even through the fur.

Your breath slows as you raise up, readying yourself to fight. It spots you immediately, issuing a bears bassy roar. You level your spear and head on a collision course with the beast.
>>
>>34492983
Your first stab skitters of its hide like the creature was wearing armour- And it's immediate counter is so fierce you can feel the wake of its passing, even as you narrowly sidestep it.

The beast lowers its head, charging you hard, flinging it's tusks side to side as it tries to impale you- It catches at your shirt, tearing through it and dragging you a couple steps as it goes. In response, you spin your glaive around, wielding its spike like a pick, hammering at joints with all the strength you can muster- The bloodthirsty roar of an enraged monster answers your success.

You circle each other, you reared back to keep you human half out of it's reach, and it favouring one side- You drove the spike into its shoulder, and the creature is in definite pain.

The sharp clarity you felt facing the wolf is back- You're riding the edge of life and death. Blood sings in your veins, and you ready your weapon...

>>Start readying some webbing
Let's get running around it in a circle and laying web.
We'll trip it up in the ol' hogtie classic.
>>
>>34493011
>Start readying some webbing
We aim a glop of webbing at its face. If it gets the eyes, it can't see. If it gets the mouth, it can't bite.
That will give us an opportunity to attack its joints again; joints, by necessity, have thinner armor and by reducing mobility, make it easier for us to dodge and get in attacks.
>>
>>34493011
>Circle and wait for an opportunity
Focus on attacking it's hurt side and see if we can't lay down some triplines like Mom was doing to us before, see if we can't get it tripped up, although I am worried about how easily he tore our shirt
>>
>>34493128

>>
>>34493011
>Circle and lay some webbing.
>Spit some venom on our blade.

Just drop some sticky threads as we circle it. Once it becomes encumbered, go for a vulnerable spot like we have been.
>>
>>34493011

Guys.

Earth brings to mind Mountains, Giants-no TITANS of Earth.

What is a name for a giant, and also happens to be a Spider?

Goliath.

Goliath Birdeater to be precise.

Even if our lower body doesn't become that of the Birdeater, which is the size of a big-ass dinner plate spread out, we will become the HUEGEST.

Like, capable of just digging our own entrances into sunken underground ruins and stuff with a few minutes of effort Hueg.
>>
>>34494346
I don't imagine we'll get that huge.
Just doesn't seem likely.
>>
>>34494346
Why would you want to be that big? It would be horribly impractical. There would be so many places we can't go, so many things we can't do.

And any social interactions would be a struggle at best.
>>
>>34494430

Hueg + Earth magic means we can just will ourselves an entrance, or dig it out, or just crush it out right.

Or, if we are competent enough, sink into the ground and shift about like the Zerg, or Graboids or some shit with only a portion of ourselves on top of the earth, like the front two pairs of legs and our torso.

>>34494391

We met the Forestwalker, who is Hueg beyond reckoning.
>>
>>34494470
That guy wasn't huge beyond reckoning.
We was just quite large in comparison to us.
>>
You match your opponent turn for turn, a dancing spiral as you both close and threaten each other before pulling back. You let the glaive slide in your grip, choking up and bringing the blade to your mouth. It's a simple matter to spit your venom down onto the blade, the clear mixture of saliva and toxin coating the spike.

You retreat a half step as the monster takes a half hearted swing, speeding a little to force it into a sharp turn on its injured side. It snarls, bearing tooth and tusk alike as you move. You start stepping in and out as you move, laying a layer of webbing into the grass.

You continue on, spiraling closer to the bear-monster as you go, it steps back, turning to face you- and stumbles, web catching at its hind legs. It braces itself, roaring as it tears free of your web- But you move again, racing to its injured side.

It twists viciously to face you, but it can't support the motion on the wounded limb- The leg crumples and you strike, slamming your spiked weapon down onto its good shoulder, driving home point and poison alike. The bear shoves forward on its hind legs, snapping its fearsome jaws as it carves a furrow across the clearing, but free of the risk of mauling you're no longer guarding.

You leap atop it's back, legs punching shallow holes into its hide as you seek a foothold. You raise your glaive overhead driving it down over and over- The beasts skull is far thicker than its hide. You work at it like you were mining, driving your weapon deeper till it punches through with a wet crack, the whole creature spasming and falling limp.
>>
>>34494470
With our inability to draw in mana, that will never be an option. Even if our Earth magic wasn't as limited as it is, being stupidly huge would still limit us.

Want to enter that building? Well, you can't. Your options are level it or wait out side.

Want to cross the sea? Good luck finding a boat that can take you.

Want to have any sort of social interaction without people that don't already know you? Maybe one will stop running and screaming long enough to hear you out. Maybe.
>>
>>34494637
You step off the body, clothes torn and veritably covered in spatters of blood, an arcing spray coating your front in a red more vibrant than your shell.

Bundling the creature is an adventure all its own, wrapping it in a tight layer of silk and dragging it over your hindquarters. You're going to have to leave a few lizards behind- the bear is even heavier than it looked. You stagger away, weighed down by your victory.

It's going to be a long trip home.

It would be more unusual to find a door that would allow us to cross through it comfortably.

Hell, a regular harpy / human door would probably require us to enter it side ways and pressing our human half forward to get through without being VERY UNCOMFORTABLE, I am basing this on the fact that our shoulder Harpy can sleep on our back comfortably, and she is, supposedly, just on the short side of average.

They won't want to be friends with the giant angry monster that just chased them down.

I don't think Evolved Forest Arachne even get that big, and I still think it's 2huge.
>>
>>34495043
>still 2huge
Well, I meant at the VERY BIGGEST.
Like, if we got all the huge evolutions.
I'd rather work on other things though, like ability to spin webs gud.

Yes, that would be more or less what I said.

What part of 'squeeze through' made you think I meant we'd get through it comfortably?

>Wanting to have an unnecessarily cumbersome form

>>34495075
I'd rather focus on anything other than size, mainly because it's completely useless.
>>
>>34495083
I'd much rather be a moderately large spider who has all sorts of web knick knacks and maybe a hot air balloon.

But forest Arachne rarely evolve more than to the "Widow" state because they prefer to stay near home / in the less dangerous parts of the forest.

We are just a few weeks old and have already evolved, something that took our mother YEARS to do, and there are vastly more evolutions as said by the QM and the general lore of the setting, as we are already kitted out to be a Shocktrooper / Guardian Arachne, we will more than likely evolve bigger and badder, more reach, greater defense, greater offense.

Hell, I wouldn't be surprised is further evolutions ended up giving us those pincers that this fucker has so we can wreck people even harder.
>>

>is further evolutions ended up giving us those pincers that this fucker has

Jesus Christ I need to hit the bed, words are starting to run together and my brain is pudding.
>>
>>34495221
I just don't see us getting bigger, so much as getting denser, stronger and generally more invincible while remaining roughly the same size.

Those pincers would be kinda badass, assuming they're a straight upgrade to the melee capabilities of our front set of legs.
>>
>>34495221
We already have a scorpion girl quest guys. I would favor hugespider or magespider evolutions because of fun roleplay from the former and powergaming from the latter.

>Beef up the back legs so we can rear back on them, blade and armor them too because bucking and extra support
>first set of legs crushed and tears enemy apart
>second set of legs are extremely long and segmented, so they can be both fine manipulator appendages, spears / lances, and fucking blades whips if we so desire
>All of this in addition to our upper body getting stronger and able to use a variety of weapons and other things.

Combine this thing with us setting web traps, using our Halberd and possibly a shield if we get strong enough to one-hand it, and we would be a fucking Nightmare in any environment.

>Dude blocks a strike from the halberd and rolls out of range of the crushing "Teeth" legs
>One of the second-set of legs straightens out and rushed forward and impales him like a lance.

Damn son.

I'd like to stick to spider, surely.

Desert Arachne are the only ones that evolve into Scorpion girls.
Don't try to use that as an argument to not get pincers, especially since the picture shows they aren't necessarily a scorpion thing.

I'd prefer any evolution that isn't just 'a bigger spider', since that seems not only mostly useless, but an active detriment in many scenarios.
>>
>>34495706

Besides, it's Plain spiders that grow REALLY fuckhueg, no matter how many times we get bigger, there is a plains-spider, somewhere, that has probably gotten bigger.

Unless we Hyper-evolve beyond all reason, that is.

Hmm...I wonder if Sara is as small as a Mountain spider...

>Implying we won't pierce the heavens with our glaive
>Implying the mountains won't tremble with our step
>>
>>34495868
He might be implying it, but I'm stating it.
We won't, ever. We don't get to choose our evolutions and unusual size isn't characteristic of our species.
It's not going to happen.
>>
Aren't really, really big spiders elastic in some way?

Like, I know there is a spider in Australia that you step directly on it's abdomen and it'll be perfectly fine as long as you don't squash it completely flat.

So we COULD get really big and really armored, but our bodies structure would allow it to squeeze through a lot of smaller spaces that should not be possible.

That's probably a further evolution though..a supplemental one made for counter-acting the disabilities that heavy combat oriented evolutions like our current one possess.

Just need to fulfill the conditions, do big spider things, and be flexible.
>>
>>34496026
I'd rather just not do that and continue being a useful and fun character.

It also solves none of the damn problems, what's the point of getting through a door if you take up all the space on the other side?

We'd still weigh the same and be the same size, so people and boats are just as much of a problem as before.

Not to mention, we're already on the defensive warrior path, that means we'll probably get a heavily-armored shell next evolution and sacrificing that for no good reason is phenomenally stupid.
>>
>>34495989

Are you talking about that burrowed spider that had half it's backside smushed inwards because someone stepped on it, and it then started running around trying to get away with a perfectly flat ass that had shoe engravings on it with absolutely no problems?

I've SEEN that picture but never saved it.
>>
>>34496026
Variant evolutions tend to have thematic conditions required to unlock them.
We have the blessing since we fulfilled it's three conditions, not because we fulfilled *a* condition.
We'd be a rubber spider or a big spider, and I doubt 'be flexible' counts as a condition.
There's also nothing that counts as a 'big spider thing' that isn't just as much, if not moreso, a 'warrior spider' thing.
>>
>>34496091

We don't necessarily have to sacrifice defence / armor for flexibility anon.

We might be able to get a segmented carapace, or like anon said, very elastic in nature carapace.

I might, it IS a magical setting, and we ARE a magical creature, our shell could be as hard as diamonds, and be both rigid and flexible depending on what we need it to be.
>>
>>34496091
I know what you mean, but I'm sort of tired of arguing at this point.
I don't want to be super big, for sure.
>>
>>34496198
We just have to think big thoughts. And focus on our gains. "Rubber spider" brings horrible thoughts to mind though...
>>
>>34496201
We kind of do, anon. That choice you present clearly indicates it's either flexibility or more defense.

I also can't think of a single creature with an armored shell which remains flexible.

From what I know of the setting (namely what parts of the LN have been translated and a few posts about it on other sites) would indicate that, while magical, the setting still follows a set of well-defined rules and boundaries.

Just because they aren't *our* rules, doesn't mean it isn't still a clearly defined system with a definite set of boundaries.

>>34496274
None of those are conditions for a second evolution.

Seriously, from what I know of RE:Monster, the conditions just get more and more ridiculous for higher evolution rare variants.

Higher tier evolutions also usually result in changing species entirely, especially if they're rare variants.

The second thing is also definitely firmly in the warrior spider category anyways.
