If you’re a die-hard lover of canon, I suggest you turn away now. I’d like to think I do Chaos and 40k in general justice though. The key thing at the end of the day is to have fun, whatever that means in this instance.

All rolls will go against a specified characteristic in the style of Black Crusade. You’ll want to roll under the characteristic value in order to pass the check. The more degrees of success (every multiple of 10 counts as 1), the more awesome of a result. A 1 is a guaranteed success, and a 100 is a guaranteed failure.

Best of three rolls when it’s called for, with a 1 or a 100 instantly taking precedence. If multiple characteristics are being rolled for, each 1d100 counts for its respective test. Any rolls prior to the call for one and those not linking said post will be ignored.

You may burn (i.e. gone forever) 10 infamy to completely reroll a check (i.e. three new 1d100). If you have above 10 infamy, you are allowed a single additional 1d100 roll for any check during a session.

If you have any questions/etc, now’s the time. Otherwise, I’ll push the first update in about 10 minutes. Have this present from Weremole and I while you wait.

In the time it takes you to put out your storm-coat, you make a mental note to wear less flammable clothing in the future. That or you need to stop running into foes with the ability to shoot fire. Either way, Mud-helmet’s blade is already on its way down towards your skull. You catch it and return the death stare you’re sure the ape’s giving you on the other side of that helmet.

“I was bored with one Grey Knight anyways~” you growl, grinning and tossing his sword’s tip to the side. This sends him off balance and stumbling to your left. To your right, the Knight with the broken gauntlet is now brandishing a Nemesis Daemon Hammer crackling with energy.
As for the one with the staff, he’s now charging up what you can only assume is another fireball. The other two Knights are still engaged with Acerea and Ignitrix, both of whom who are using the portal overhead to provide suppressive fire.

That’s when you notice one of those two Knights is priming a belt of Krak grenades to throw.

The instant the staff is leveled at you, you launch yourself to the left. And not a moment too soon. A cloud of holy fire erupts in the space you just previously occupied. As you prepare to assault the pskyer to end such cowardly attacks, you notice Mud-Helmet coming up behind you. Rather than pushing yourself forward at the staff-wielding Knight, you thrust yourself backward so as to meet Mud-Helmet mid-charge. This again knocks him off balance and provides you with an opportunity.

“I’m going to need to borrow your hand for a moment,” you roar, driving your claws upwards towards the gauntlet wielding the nemesis force sword. The gauntlet and sword comes free with a sickening crack as the terminator armor yields to the force of your blow. Using the momentum of your strike and the forward momentum of the Knight’s charge, you try to flip him over. Unfortunately, this proves to be too ambitious and sends the pair of you into a tangle that lands just at the Staff-wielding Knight’s feet.

On the other “side” of the battlefield, you hear the grenade-wielding Knight roar at the portal above. “BATHE IN FIRE, DAEMONS.” The belt of Krak grenades goes flying not a second later.

Freeing yourself from underneath the Mud-Helmet’s mass is as trivial as thrusting your legs upward. This sends him soaring into the air much to his dismay.

“FFFFOOOOOOUUULLLLLSPPPPAAAAAA-”

You cut his yell off with one of your own as you leap upright. “SHUT THAT PORTAL AND GET ANOTHER ONE ABOVE ME!”

Ignitrix does as you command, sealing the tear in reality without a second to spare. The belt of grenades whiffs through the spot where the portal was and begins a parabolic arc in the air. As fate would have it, that arc intercepts Mud-Helmet.

A massive explosion eliminates any evidence of the Grey Knight’s existence. The shockwave forces the Staff Knight to steady himself for a second, which is more than enough time for you to plunge past his guard and to rip the staff from his grasp. The warp energy from your claws wrestles with the psychic energy from the staff as you bend the implement over your knee and snap it in twain.

“No more tricks,” you snarl, “Or are you so feeble that you’re unable to defeat me honorably?”

A howl emanates from the Knight’s helmet as he produces a massive knife and lunges at you. You’re unable to parry the blade in time, thus earning you a slash across the chest (-3 wounds).

You sidestep the next thrust of the knife and grab onto the Knight’s wrist with one hand. The other snakes up to latch onto the back of the monkey’s helmet to give you optimum leverage. Combined with the latent momentum from the failed stabbing, you easily flip the grey ape in terminator armor over your head and behind you.

As you whirl to follow the movement of the body, you hear terminator armor collide with terminator armor. It seems the fourth Knight had indeed been intent at sneaking up on you. Now he’s in a mess of power armor with his fellow. Due to the weight of the armor and their awkward positioning, they’re temporarily out of the fight. Which just leaves the two bolter bastards…

...one of which has already launched another holy projectile at you. There’s absolutely no time to dodge and you take it squarely on the chest. Between your repurposed Inquisitor’s armor and your natural toughness, you survive the point-blank explosion. Barely (-10 wounds). You’re flung clear of the two Knights on the ground and sent skidding for a good twenty more meters.

Just in time (or perhaps far too late), a new portal opens above your spot in the mud.

“We leave for thirty seconds and she’s taking a mud bath. Why did we ever leave?” chirps Ignitrix, already unleashing a torrent of fire towards the bolter Knights. The flames meet the next bolter round as it exits the gun, causing it to explode right next to the knights.

“Now don’t be mean. You took far too long opening the portal again, dear,” adds Acerea as she fires globules of acid at the two Knights in a pile. With nowhere to go, the pervasive liquid begins burning through their armor.

For those whining about wounds, in 40k you don't die until you hit negative half your max. In this case, that's -12 or -13. The downsides to being in the negative are mostly reduced healing, but who knows how ELH is handling it.
