The looks on their faces are way too serious for this to be anything other than trouble of the worst kind. You whisper a few words into the wind and send them to Akari. Your sister and Er Yin start to speak at the same time but you lift your hand, and Jinyuu-onee-sama falls silent. You'd meant to silence them both, but of course, that was silly.

You let Er Yin continue despite that. “Each of us has received a phone call from the same number, asking for Ryuu Ryukusa. It is a foreign voice, the same foreign voice, speaking Japanese.” You pull your phone out of ~Nowhere~ and check it, but there have been no calls. Then again, your number is a lot harder to get a hold of thanks to Akari-chan.

Speaking of, she slips out of the room, dressed in her school uniform and carrying her laptop. Kneeling next to the coffee table, she opens it and starts typing rapidly, placid and calm. You're so going to kick someone's ass for this.

“Kiku-chan?”

Your miko has settled next to Er Yin, but she gives you the short, clipped language of the Ryo Clan. “Unknown number but same number, same person, foreign, not military, polite and pleasant, but insistent. “All right. Let me know when you get something. Keep it quiet everyone.”

You slip easily into the state of mind you want them to think you are in. “Good morning. It is really very early for you to be calling and waking up people. You're lucky my friend knew how to get a hold of me or you would be calling people all night.” You yawn softly, a real yawn, though you don't feel sleepy at all right now. “Please excuse me.”

The young man on the other end of the phone sounds embarrassed. “I really am quite sorry about this. Am I speaking to Ryuu Ryukusa?” You immediately place the voice with a face: the young priest you saw with Water Eyes in the rain after you met and fought Goto. The driver who had blond hair and was both young and hopeful, if ignorant. The other two priests were the dangerous ones.

You yawn again; Kiku-chan also yawns and gives you a glare that makes you shrug apologetically. “So sorry. Yes. And your name please?”

“My name is Father Cristobal Harris, or Father Harris. I'm calling on behalf of the Holy Roman Catholic Church concerning someone you know, a Miss Kiki Kumatori.” You frown mightily at the phone but your voice betrays nothing.

Perhaps if you spoke to her father....” You glance at Akari, who holds up two fingers without looking back at you, as she silently types on her keyboard with her other hand. Two minutes. That's going to feel like forever. “It is very difficult to....” You include another yawn and this time Jinyuu-onee-sama and Kiku-chan both yawn in sympathetic response. “So sorry. It is very difficult to deal with someone at such an awkward time. Anyways....usually I do not discuss such things as I might be professionally involved in. Switching the phone to your tail, you gesture to Kiku-chan, telling her you want to know if there is any mystical reasoning behind the time of the calls. She speaks softly to Er Yin who calls over Kiki-hime and speaks with her, while Kiku goes to tell Jinyuu the same thing. Akari, who was also paying attention, warns you in similar sign language that she cannot see through the walls of the complex – or the building. You'd need a physical scout on the roof top or the walls. While the surrounding 'ignorance' abilities of the apartment complex might help, it might not.

Even as you're discussing these things, you are speaking with the mysterious Father Harris. “You'll have to excuse me for being a little confused....well, aside from being woken up so early. I mean, what can the Catholic Church be concerned about a famous young daughter of a corporation head? I mean, I know she's especially involved in press releases and is pretty idolized, but that isn't something that interests the church people is it?”

The barrage of questions should keep him talking, and you consider carefully....then curse it all and direct Kiku-chan to take a quick look, tossing her your spare key so she doesn't get eaten by Wan-wan. She nods and quickly walks to the door, steps outside, and is gone instantly. Warned by your questions she also knows what to look out for – more than one person working for the Roman Catholic Church. And people like that have no chance of hiding from her Fire Eyes.

You let him prattle on, which he does, mostly repeating what he's already said in different ways for a half a minute. Looks like he's trying to use a delaying tactic, or he's just that naive about the kinds of things his two elders are capable of. “Excuse me for interrupting....but perhaps I could speak to your Monsignor? Or someone else of higher authority? Because you're becoming very alarming and I'm not sure that I can trust you. You got an awful lot of very private numbers after all. How did you do that? It's starting to sound like your one of Miss Kumatori's stalkers, and not a member of the church at all, especially with all this talk of her blood and being possessed.”

He chokes a little on the idea that's he's a stalker, and Akari looks up, turning the monitor to face you. You glance at it, noting that the caller is nowhere near you, but the information is now yours – a nearby church, how expected. More alarming to you is Jinyuu and Er Yin pouring a lot of water over their hands and rinsing their mouths – purification rituals, with Kiki-hime helping out by handing them small bags of salt and tamagushi and turning valves and such so they don't contaminate themselves.

The young man's voice is sincere, and a little confused. “Well, yes, but he's currently out of the country, so we couldn't get his help at all.” Out of the country? Unlikely – though, he may not be in Tokyo.

“Well, if you ask to speak directly to Mr. Taisho Ryoga, his personal assistant, that man can contact me directly and allow me to let you speak with Kumatori Kiki directly. Then you'll see for yourself that the idea of her being 'possessed' is ridiculous.” Kiki-hime chokes on her tea and Akari blinks and looks at you quizzically. You hear the door to Akari and Yui's room open, and a sleepy looking Yui wanders out, kind of mostly dressed in your short robe and Akari's tight and way too small hot-pant shorts. “Besides, I'm sure that Mr. Ryoga can give you plenty of information about Kumatori Kiki, assuming he hasn't already. Though, if you speak to him in person, I'm sure things will be much more clear, Father Hallis.”

“Oh, you're welcome Miss Ryuu.” He puts you on hold, and you sigh softly.

“Aniki, could you hold the phone out away from you in your left hand?” Yui asks sleepily, reaching behind her. “Just leave it on, too.” Kiki-hime smiles and walks over, giving Yui a hug from behind, and Yui smiles sleepily at her.

You look at your sleepy oni-chan, who is leaning back against Kiki-hime in a very relaxed manner. Kiki's arms are about her shoulders, and she looks pretty pleased with yourself, and if you weren't using someone else's phone, and on hold, and in the middle of two people doing ritualistic things around you, and negotiating with idiot foreigners, you'd probably take a picture.

“Well, for Yui-chan, anything. After all, she's putting on quite the cute show, with those....Akari-niji-chan, are those shorts or panties?”

“Silk shorts, aniki.” She glances back at Yui and her eyes widen seen how tightly they hug – and split – Yui. “Um. Hm.” she turns back around, blushing brightly, and Kiki-hime giggles softly.

“Kiki-hime, what are they doing?” You glance at your sister and Er Yin, who have traveled about a fifth of the way around the room, respectively.

“Jinyuu-sensei says it's a counter-spell to confuse the spell they're trying to place to locate us,” she says softly, smiling.

Yui glances at her, then at you as you extend the phone. She pulls out her taiko sticks, clacks them together twice, taps her own horns, and then crosses the sticks...and lightning and wind erupts throughout the room, counterpoint to Kiki-hime's squeal of fright and Akari slamming her computer shut and curling up over it. The robe flaps about her as she leans forward and shouts into the howling lightning storm. The winds pick up the salt and the lightning gathers around her sticks, then leaps from the sticks into the phone you are holding, which burns into flaming slag just before the lightning bolds shoot up and strike the ceiling to dissipate harmlessly.

Er Yin-sensei looks quite shocked, while Jinyuu-onee-sama is trying to recover her composure. Kiki-hime is breathing hard and staring at Yui in shock, while Akari is checking to make sure her computer wasn't damaged.

You, of course, walk over to the sink and douse the burning, molten slag in your hand before throwing it in the trash. “Sooo, Yui-chan....that was pretty flashy.”

Yui yawns and nods and walks over to Akari and slumps down on her back, her eyes closing. “Uh huh. They will have like....twenty or thirty different places to look at now. Aunt Yoshiko calls it her sunspot special.”

Picking off a couple of flakes of metal and plastic that melted to your left hand, you shake your head and grin. “Gomen, Er Yin-sensei, Jinyuu-onee-sama. Apparently Akari-niji-chan isn't the only one up on modern techniques.”

Er Yin-sensei is looking up at the ceiling as well, looking slightly non-plussed with her glowing eyes. “I was not aware that one could do such things with the Void. Perhaps Yui-san will teach me as much as I teach her.”

Kiku-chan quietly opens the door, her hair fluttering wildly. “That was very pretty. There was a show of the Hokkyokukou over Tokyo.” She walks over to Er Yin and snuggles close, yawning. “I am guessing by the lightning show I don't need to be on watch anymore, aniki-dragon?” Er Yin jumps as a spark jumps from her lover to her metal talons, and Kiku's hair stops fluttering.

“No, I think we're okay for now,” you murmur as you walk over to Kiki-hime, and wrap her in your robes. She's still looking a little started by the shocking display Yui demonstrated. You kiss her cheek and she turns and hugs you, though her eyes are on Yui She is still slumped on Akari's back, while Akari is rubbing her cheek against Yui's cheek and giving her head scritches like one would a cat. “You can trace cell phone calls by sight, Yui-chan?”

“Uh uh. I saw the weird Western Kami floating around in the sky, trying to home in on the glowing voice on the phone. They're really bright. I just king of took the salt and the holy voices in the room and scattered them everywhere I could.” Yui sighs and hugs Akari, who relaxes comfortably under the oni-child's impressive weight.

Kiki-hime giggles and grabs you and Yui by the sleeves. “Back to bed you t-WHA!” You blink mildly while you catch your princess when she is yanked off balance by the entire lack of Yui-chan moving. Yui looks up sleepily, confused by the tug on her robe and there is a lot of soft laughter floating through the room.

“So....mno one bothered warnign you about oni-children then. I'll have to take care of that.” She blinks up at you, looking quite confused. “You know I will always be here to catch you, Kiki-hime; but really, not even I would have tried that.” You kiss her nose lightly and she blushes, smiling sheepishly as you put her on her feet. “She probably weights three times as much as Er Yin-sensei. Her combat training will shock you.”

Akari glances up at Kiki-hime. “Aniki has a terrible sense of humor, please forgive her.”

You stick your tongue out at your best friend as she closes her computer, and tucks it under the coffee table. She gently slides Yui off her back and picks her up in a princess carry, which Yui languidly embraces her in. “Nini,” Yui murmurs and Akari shakes her head.

Helping kiki-hime to her feet, you grin as she stares at Akari carrying Yui with ease. “Akari-chan pushes around anyone she likes, but she's probably the only one who CAN push Yui around physically.” You glance at Er Yin and Kiku-chan as the walk up to your and your wife.

Er Yin lays metallic talons along your shoulder. “You will need sleep as well. Tomorrow we have much work for you to prepare.”

You nod, smiling sadly. Goto is not going to be an easy fight, and you've been awake most of two days and exerting yourself a lot. Still, you feel all right, despite that. You take her hand, and kiss it, your tail and other arm wrapped bout your princess, while Kiku-chan looks up at you with those golden eyes. You grin and lean down, kissing her on the forehead and whispering softly, “Yui and Akari left me as beat up as you were, bitsy-dragon.”

You sure that Amaterasu isn't the Holy Ghost/Spirit? I mean, she's certainly A holy spirit, and I think the bible made references to holy fire, which is totally a thing that she could do. Maybe they're already married.
