You find the club as busy as ever, with the group of actors sitting around in a circle practicing their lines and Ayako directing how they should say them. You see Kazuko and Daichi moving some props around, Daichi notices you and motions for you to go over to them quickly.

When you get over there, Kazuko gives you a wary look and Daichi folds his arms. "Ok Takenaka. Ayako wants you to do something very important today. It's something only you could do"

"What is it?" you ask, curious.

"Tail Mio and see what she's been up to." Daichi says. "Kazuko will tag along."

Kazuko nods but keeps that wary look in her eyes making you feel that pang of bad feelings.

Your conscious gets the best of you despite your curiosity, you look away and rub the back of your neck. "Maybe we shouldn't, a girl needs her privacy you know." you say. Daichi raises his eyebrow at you and Kazuko perks up a little bit.

"Not you too..." Daichi says "Kazuko suggested it earlier but now she wants to back out too."

"I was joking. You and Ayako just decided to take it seriously." she says.

"Well if you make me do it I can't really say no." you say "but right now my current decision has to be 'no'."

"I didn't expect you to be such a killjoy" Daichi sighs.

"Is there anything else I could do for the club?" you ask. "Like move around sets and stuff?"

"Not much, we're pretty much in rehearsal mode right now." Daichi scratches his head. "Let me get Ayako for a sec."

You and Kazuko stand there and watch Daichi interrupt Ayako's directing, she smacks him with her script book and then stands up and walks over to where you and Kazuko are standing. Kazuko steals some glances on occasion but overall she still seems a bit wary of you.

"Whaaat? I thought you'd totally be up to it." Ayako says.

"That's what I thought and now Kazuko wants to chicken out too." Daichi says, Kazuko sticks her tongue out at him.

Damn late to the quest, but better than never...

(And I would have voted for tailing Mio, since I was one of the guys suggesting it in previous thread.)

A thought pops into your head and you smile. It'll be kind of like a day off with Kazuko. You can even go out on a date and talk about things. Hopefully you can get whatever is bothering her off of her chest so she'd stop giving you that look.

You make an exaggerated sigh "I'll do it if you really have nothing for me to do." you say. "Why is it so important for you to find out anyway?"

Ayako blushes and waves her hand. "N-No. I won't make you do it if you really don't want to. I mean I was just really curious and I thought it was a good idea." she says.

You shrug. "I really don't mind. It'll be kind of fun spending time with Kazuko anyway." you say, Kazuko has a slight blush on her face as she looks away.

You put your arm around Kazuko's shoulder and grin. "I'm really good at stealth and stuff so I can show you a few things." you say.

"Are you really ok with this?" Daichi asks. "You object and now you suddenly want to do it?"

You shrug. "Well I don't want to ruin any plans for today." you wink at them. "I'll should be going, Mio might be hard to follow if we leave it for too long." you say. Kazuko sighs and frowns at you "I guess I'll go with you."

Ayako gives you a wary look and sighs, "Well if you find anything let us know ok? And check in once in a while."

You and Kazuko nod before leaving the club room, Kazuko just follows behind you kind of dragging her feet. As you get down to the end of the hall you check that the drama club room's door is closed and grin at Kazuko. She looks at you a bit surprised, you're not sure she actually got the picture.

You both walk down the stairs and off of school grounds.

As you left school, Kazuko asked if she could go change into some street clothes so she could be more comfortable and probably so she won't look like she's skipping club activities even though you totally are.

You also went home to change as well, saying that you'll both meet up at the park for the date....Kazuko called it a date she totally did. That's progress in itself.

You pump yourself up as you head towards the park and meet up. When you arrive you see Kazuko in a purple cardigan a nice looking skirt that's not too short but not too long either and her hair a bit more touched up than usual. You notice her nervously looking around for you.

You wave and smile at her as you approach. "Hey you didn't need to get that dressed up you know. But you look nice" you say.

Kazuko blushes at your compliment. "I'm still a little irritated at you." she says.

"I know. Let's talk on the way."

The train isn't that busy since most students at your school have joined some sort of club, which leaves enough space for you and Kazuko to sit next to each other.

You both sort of struggle with what exactly you should talk about.

She takes it and intertwines her fingers with yours. "Ok, I might as well vent so we can enjoy the rest of the day huh?" she says, you nod and give her hand a squeeze. "Take your time, we still have to walk to the restaurant." you say. Kazuko just smiles and holds your hand, she's probably giving it a lot of thought or maybe she's just content with holding your hand. Who knows.

You both exit the train and start heading through the city, looking around for places to eat.

Finally, Kazuko sighs and starts venting.

"You know, I was really happy when you said that you and Keiko really weren't dating. That meant that I really had a chance. Especially when you offered to stay over the night where that Aimi girl got you to put that date back on." Kazuko squeezes your hand. "Even though you accepted it seemed like you didn't want to go out with her, so I felt like I have an honest chance. When you came to wake me up on Thursday, I was really happy. The hickey you gave me really felt special and it made it feel like you wanted me that way too."

You nod and continue listening.

"But then you say all this stuff about being confused. What are you confused about?" she pauses. "I felt absolutely led on. Especially when it seems like there's someone else that wants you. The whole thing with Keiko seemed solved already and you didn't seem to thrilled by Aimi."

"That's...Haruka is one of the friends you haven't met. She's the one that said she likes me too." you say.

"And you kissed her." Kazuko points out.

"I was being dumb." you say.

"Did you enjoy it?" she asks.

"...Yeah. I like kissing." you say honestly.

Kazuko looks at the ground and squeezes your hand again.

"How long has she liked you?" she asks.

"We've known each other for two years...she said she started liking me about a year ago." you say.

"That's my competition huh" Kazuko mumbles to herself. "Let's go to that place Kana-chan." she says and points to a nice and expensive looking cafe that looks like it serves mostly sweets.

As you take your seats you order a green tea ice cream thing while Kazuko orders a fancy looking parfait.

"Umm, I know you have the date and everything on Sunday and that's alright. But I want to ask you out as well." Kazuko says as she peeks over the menu. "It's ok if you need time to think about it. But I want to go with what I feel right now."

...That's nice...Wait what? Is Kazuko asking you out here? You're supposed to be the one that asks girls out. You blush.

After taking the last bite your face turns red, you both probably look like lovers right now.

"H-Hey Honda's having a get together for Keiko tomorrow and..do you want to come with me?" you ask.

"Sure, that sounds fun. I thought Honda was a jerk to you though." she says.

Crap, you take a peek at your phone. You're still supposed to be at the school. Kazuko blushes as she presses up against you. "What do we do?" she says

You sigh and dig into your strawberry cake. Better to do what the lady says even if you are curious about your best friend's love life and your other friend giving her advice about said love life. Maybe Mio's been moonlighting as some sort of love guru and she's been doing this way before you came back to school? You chew thoughtfully.

You see a pair of people look at you two sitting together and sharing cake and glare at them. You see where Kazuko is coming from. It would be annoying especially since you're just...kind of friends? It's complicated?

You hear Mio and Keiko laugh about something. Man you're pretty curious about what they're talking about but you tune them out.

Keiko and Mio are still talking long after they finished their stuff as well, and they don't really seem to be paying attention to their surroundings so you tap Kazuko on the shoulder so you both could leave without being noticed.

Once paid up and out of the cafe you let out a big sigh. "MAAAAN that was close." you say.

"Yeah, they almost saw us like that." Kazuko sighs as well.

"Well the night is young, where else do you want to go?" you ask Kazuko and she blushes.

"Really? After all that?" she says.

"Why ruin our fun?" you say grinning. "Let's continue the date."

"You pick the place then." Kazuko says.

Yes, the arcade is fun, but it must've been AGES since Wakana saw a movie.

"The arcade is pretty fun. Let's go." you say, grinning. Part of you wants to go watch a movie since you haven't actually been to a movie theater in a while since your dad either comes back with new movies or just sends them to you. But still, you want to play some Dance Dance Revolution with Kazuko.

"Ok that sounds good." Kazuko says smiling at you. She takes a hold of your hand as you both head off to a nearby arcade.

Since that big guy at the one you usually go to showed up, you've been a bit uneasy about going there, so instead you head to a lesser known one that still has a lot of games, but just not as many as the other one.

"Hey let's play the dancing game." you say, pointing at the unoccupied machine. "We should jump on it before it gets crowded." you say.

Kazuko nods and you both head over to the machine while still holding her hand.

"It's fun, you just touch the directions with your feet as the arrows come up." you say. "You have to keep to the rhythm or you'll end up losing a lot." you say.

Kazuko nods and you put the coins in "Let's do a test run. Easy mode?" you ask her.

"I want the same difficulty as you." Kazuko says.

"Really? I'll be playing on hard." you say.

"Do it." she says. You shrug and put her difficulty up with yours.

"Alright! Let's go." you say.

At first Kazuko seems a bit uneasy about matching the arrows. She lost a lot of steam in the beginning. But she kept going and finally found her rhythm and started matching up with your pace. Eventually you win the first song but on the later songs Kazuko starts winning again and again.

You stare at Kazuko as she keeps moving to the beat of the songs. "Wow you're good at this." you say.

"I know...I used to..play in...Elementary school." she says, out of breathe. A small crowd of people gather around to watch you both play but you keep losing.

Eventually you get off of the machine and lean against the backstand part of it. "Damn...you're giving me a work out." you say. You wipe some sweat off of your forehead. "Man I'm sweaty."

Kazuko smiles at you, equally worn out and sweaty. "Maybe you should get good." she says.

"I'll show you good. We're upping the difficulty! Let's go!" you say as you feed more coins into the machine. Kazuko looks at you smugly from the machine. "Oh? I thought you were taking a break Kana-chan."

You glare and point at her. "I don't need a break!" you say. Kazuko smiles at you, "So assertive." she says. You laugh and get back into position. "Whatever, don't cry to me when you can't keep up." you say grinning. The small crowd around the machine murmurs and watches you start up the music on the highest difficulty.

"Let's go!" you yell and start dancing on the machine.

After dancing to two or three more songs you slump against the back support thing on the machine. "God I'm exhausted." you say and pull on your shirt collar. You're sweaty as hell too.

"You're a mean one Kazu-chan." you say but still smile at her. "Do you want to head home now or do you want to play another game or go somewhere else?" you ask.

"Hmm...let's take a break for a second and let's see how I feel." Kazuko gets off the machine and you follow her. You see a couple more kids jump on and try to do the difficult songs you and Kazuko did.

You both go outside for air and sit on a nearby bench to rest.

"My legs hurt! Kazu-chan how come you never told me you play games like that?" you ask.

"You never asked." she says.

"Oh." you say, you and Kazuko sit there in silence for a bit. Glancing out of the corner of your eye you look at Kazuko, she puts her hand on top of yours and squeezes a bit. You feel a warm feeling welling up in your stomach.

Saying something would ruin the mood and besides, you glance at Kazuko from the corner of your eye. You're not sure if you could say something without resisting the urge to just kiss her or something. You just said that you needed some time to think about becoming her girlfriend. You don't want to send the wrong message no matter how much you want to kiss her.

But her lips look so soft. You wrap your hand around hers instead, Kazuko scoots closer to you and leans on your shoulder, blushing. You blush yourself and continue looking at the sunset.

Now you really feel like this should end with a kiss. But you resist. Man this is so tough.

Girls are so hard to deal with.

Finally, Kazuko looks up at you and smiles.

"I know you're not really ready to decide yet..." she says.

"Uh huh."

"And I know you have a lot to sort out..." she continues. "But can I kiss you? Just once?"

Kazuko nods. "Just practice." she says.

"Practice, right. I want to, let's do it rig--" you're interrupted by Kazuko pressing her lips against hers. You squeeze her hand and lean in, kissing her back. You don't go for tongue just yet....well did you say anything about no tongue? Did she say anything about tongue?

The fact that her tongue is slowly finding its way into your mouth answers that question. You happily let her in and grab her by the waist and press your body against hers. She still feels a bit sweaty because of the whole DDR thing but you're just as sweaty..you hear a soft moan from her...no..no thinking about showers or baths with Kazuko. Not while you're doing this.

You feel her other hand slowly creep up the hem of your shirt, as if she's debating whether to feel you up or not. Ultimately she just moves her hand to your back and pulls herself up for an even deeper kiss.

Eventually you both break off for air. You unconsciously lick your lips wanting to go again.

"That was good..." Kazuko says completely flushed.

"Yeah." you say. Kazuko stands up and pulls you off of the bench. "Let's go home. I think I saw someone take a picture or something." she says, still blushing

You really want to do it again right now, but going home right now is good too.
