Our best hints are problem when Rudy died since soul degradation after death and when trying to put everything back together post mortem(Resurrection spells) causes data loss.(exp.memory loss)
This sort of implies that corrupt/bad data/weird might interact strange. I'm not saying i'm absolutely right or even sure I'm right.
I just figure there's more ways for things to have gone wrong than right. Lilac just might have her brain set on addled permanently or via default or until she's had enough time (memory loss?) for the offending chunks to not matter.

She has trouble forming accurate memories, at recall of various pre apocalypse things and other stuff that could just be normal like her lethargy. My best guess is that some preexisting damage transferred over the rest of the damage is no longer an issue due to a healthy brain and either the adjustment period as adventurer attributes take over will probably fix it with time. (As time goes on the adventurer body seems to assert itself. eg traps/everyone start to have matching voices, hormones kick in and mess with sexual attraction/orientation and if death has been happening they get the adventurer behavior sneaked in,
