Your drones sit in the dense vegetation around the artificial cave. Your sniffers listen to the humans in the antechamber beyond as they rush to aid their wounded and reload their weapons. The sun has risen to midday of the slowly rotating planet.
Meanwhile your pods detect a sudden increase in activity in the system of Koenig. A three corvettes and a cruiser have released from their docks and are accelerating outwards towards the edge of the system. After several minutes of acceleration they disappear in a burst of radiation.

Your drones have taken casualties on the jungle world of Raligha.

I think the first order of business is to load 40-50 warriors in our corvette at homebase and ship them out to the frontlines. As soon as it gets there, pull back our Scout Corvette for repairs.

Stealth isn't an issue at the moment, time is and we need all the bugs on the ground and functional ships as possible for contingencies.

What few drones remain on the planet's surface surround the artificial cave entrance. The humans within are clamoring within the antechamber in a panic. You cannot tell with certainty how many humans there are left, but you know you were able to at least injure several in your assault.
"Medic! He's been hit!"
Several humans huddle around their injured as they drag them deeper into the antechamber.

The humans you hold captive within your damaged corvette have been secured in the cargo area.

>>34214610
iirc, their main enemy is the Unity, which use Cyclotrons rather than projectiles.
>>
>>34214655
They cyclotrons because their armor does not protect against it. QD said this very early on we took down two unity drones.
>>
Just hurry and unload the prisoners and salvage from the cloaked scout so it can return and take the UNcloaked ship's place.

Have said noncloaking ship hide docked at the docking pylon in case they're stopping at home world on the way. Someone in Union intelligence might be justifiably paranoid.
>>
>>34214709
How does whether or not cyclotrons work on humans apply to drones?
First off, Unity drones are built to withstand electrical attacks, like those the Union prizes. We took them down with our kinetic attacks, which they didn't have the armor for.
If the humans expect to fight the Unity, they'll come geared to protect against Cyclotrons, not bullets.
>>
>>34214609
Some acid rounds for some of the thorn launchers should fix any "armor" problem.

>>
>>34214609
let's make a surplus of all of the ammo, but equipped them with acid ammo and sedative darts
>>
>>34214637
yet no one wants to risk setting up a colony

or really building up our fleet to a capable level in secret

and our status quo is to launch high risk raids and keep pretending to be primitive at all costs?

its alright if we really started to build our defenses and ships you know but we aren't doing that we just keep sticking to building farms and researching tech with nothing to place it on,

its a good strategy but if we don't actually build up then whats the point?
>>
>>34214655
Their armor is designed to protect against melee and ballistic weapons because they are to protect against primitive lifeforms. These guys have nothing to protect them from a cyclotron.
>>34214746
QD said we won because their weapon were designed to fight humans not us. Cyclotrons are way better against human armor.
>>
>>34214798

exploring those systems beyond human borders is a good excuse to keep it from spoiling our home world stealth.

You want to build more docking pylons and get some frigates or cruisers? I'll back that. A lot of people will. In the last few threads, there's been significant support and chatter for maintaining standing military too.

The reason we launched this raid now is that it wasn't an opportunity that would come up again. The risk isn't actually all that high, all we /have/ to accomplish is killing the humans.

Your concerns have merit, but you seem to think you're the only one with them and that we aren't already taking steps to address them, but that isn't true.

Your sniffers begin to search the valley, scattering in all directions as they take to the air.

You sense the female move forward for a moment as she calls out through the cave.
"Who are you? Why are you here? We-" The other human tackles her to the ground.
"What the hell are you doing? Are you trying to get us all killed?"
Your speaker interrupts. "This is our temple. Why have you come here?"
You hear the woman speak again. "Captain, I possess a dozen xenological degrees. If you don't let me at least try to open a dialog with them then we can just sit here and starve. I don't see a better option, do you?"
"Fine. See if you can talk your way out, but if things go south, we're doing this my way."
"Fine."

The human woman rises to her feet and slowly closes in on the far side of the cave. "We're explorers. We found this place and didn't know it was... inhabited. We're human, my name is Elizabeth Vaughn, who are you?"

"They fell from the sky and were willing to assist us. You have proven to be a threat, disarm yourselves and surrender now."

Your sniffers move in and the noise quickly stops. You find a number of small, hollow spheres covered in holes hanging from the trees in small clusters. You can detect movement inside. As your sniffers approach the small structures you hear a horn blast from within a tree, its hollow roots filling the air with a deep howl. Several round shapes spin along the vines overhead, each one a round, bloated cylinder with ten limbs on either end. It rolls under the vines like a wheel as several of its limbs beat against bloated air filled membranes along its sides like drums. One of them stops briefly, hanging from a tree by a slender arm as is looks to one of your drones. You can't find any eyes, but you feel as if it is looking at your drone with some sense.
Just beyond the village is another artificial cave, covered in the colors of smeared fruits and wreaths of vines. At the mouth of the cave is a crude statue of woven foliage of a six limbed creature. It is too simple in its design to make out any details.

"Doctor!"
Elizabeth quickly glances behind her and back to the cave. "I'm sure more of our kind are on the way to find out what happened to our ship. We would be more than willing to leave with them and never return here." She pauses, then continues, "But I would hope we could learn more about each other."

Series of laws to prohibit unintended rebellion or violence on newly annexed worlds. Discovering commanders are required to adhere to these protocols or forfeit all charter rights and dividend payments. All new sentient races MUST be classified as one of the following.
0- pre-history. No development or invention. Avoid contact.
1- pre-industry. Tendency towards tech worship and sudden acts of violence. Avoid contact.
2- industrial. First contact is recommended. Introduction of new manufacturing processes to produce dependency recommended prior to annexation.
3- post industrial. First contact must be performed at once. Prevent further development. Introduction of quantum computer processes to operate infrastructure to develop dependency is recommended prior to annexation.
4- pre-FTL. Classified as the moment a member of their species breaks orbit.First contact recommended. Halt development via commodity and commerce based dependency prior to annexation.
5- FTL. Avoid direct contact. Alert Parliament immediately and await further instruction.

>>
>>34217462
Maybe they have De-evolved from being able to use telepathy? OR we are seeing another race altogether?
>>
>>34217479

Hey, QM, if Queen were to die, would her thinkers default to depression then suicide, or try to hatch a new Queen (assuming egg-layer is around)?
>>
>>34217451
>master of the obvious.jpg
Not all the people here are smart enough to figure it out.
>>
>>34216953
Your speaker turns the corner to look at the human, startling her for a moment. "We know much of humans already. You have wasted enough time. Surrender now. We will not ask again."
Your drones begin to move into position around the cave and you see Elizabeth duck back away from the cave entrance to the other human.
"I think your negotiations broke down."
"The site is clearly important to them, but they already know enough about us to negotiate."
"You think we should surrender?"
"I don't think we should sit in here and die, which is the only other option I can see, captain."
"I think we've found a third option, actually. Smith," He whispers even lower, "You done? Get the grav bike set up, hurry."
"You wouldn't! We have no idea as to the cultural importance of this place!"
"Yea, and now you'll have plenty of time to write about it once we get out of here."

The small creatures are each almost a meter long, with twenty limbs in total, each curled inward towards their bulbous bodies. Several of them quickly reach the ground and slowly approach your sniffers, rolling along the ground like living wheels. Each one seems to keep several limbs close to its body, lightly drumming its knuckles against its swollen, red cheeks.
>>

You hear the roar of a machine coming to life and your drones swarm into the cave entrance. Immediately two humans lean out from cover and open fire, cutting into your advancing warriors. A chitin slug impacts one of the soldiers, bursting open with acid and covering the human with caustic chemicals. He screams as his body becomes clouded with a wispy smoke and the smell of cooking flesh. The other human rolls a grenade down the cave and leaps out of the way. Several of your wasps leap through the cave as it goes off, engulfing several warriors and peppering them with shrapnel. You see a small metal object hovering in the air, behind it is a large sphere, and in front of it is a glowing orb of light. Bits of welded metal are quickly pulled into the glowing sphere as the bike rams into the far wall, slowly tearing into the alien surface of an ornately carved doorway.
Lighting licks at your wasps as they dive into the next line of humans. Acid filled slugs burn into the armor as your wasps close in with their claws. You feel several wink out of your mind as bolts of plasma sear into their carapaces and metal slugs shred them to pieces.
"They just keep coming!"
"Need a reload!"
The bike breaks through, flying into the carved hole and impacting with a grinding bang on the far side of the wall.
"Fall back! You first, doctor." The human leader says as he pushes against the doctor's back. She quickly moves to the small hole and crawls through, followed by another human.
"Let's go, people!"
Your warriors break through the hail of fire, pouring through the bottleneck. The humans spread their fire in desperation.
"I'm out!" One yells as he backs towards the hole in the wall. You see several humans dragging wounded away from your advancing drones.
"How many are there?"
"Just fall back! Wounded first!"
The Union troops hoist up several bleeding soldiers and toss them through the hole. As they start to scramble through themselves your warriors close into melee.

You hear a click from their leader's weapon. He throws it at the nearest warrior and pulls out a knife as the last soldier makes it through. A warrior moves in and he rolls to the side, planting the small blade into the joint of a leg. He pulls it out, sending a thin stream of blood arcing into the air and a blade pierces through his shoulder from behind and sending him face first into the ground and his knife sliding across the floor.

You take a quick account of the scene. Including the doctor, nine humans managed to escape through the hole, while the room is littered with bodies, both human and drone. You count twelve humans dead, three wounded, and the captain, alive but bleeding.

"Captain!" You hear from the other side of the wall as the captured leader is hoisted into the air by your warrior's blade and tossed to the surging tide of workers as they fill the room, silently gathering discarded gear, corpses, and wounded alike and dragging them back into the jungle.
Your drones move to the wall, and are immediately hit with a hail of lead and lightning.
"Get going! Find another way out!" A human shouts as he opens fire while leaning on the wall. Another tosses him a small bundle of ammunition.
"Give 'em hell." He says as the others run down the hallway. It is poorly lit, but you can see it continues on for some distance before splitting into a labyrinth of hexagonal tunnels. Your drones begin to crawl through as the human lays down a wall of fire, stopping only to reload. A wasp gets through the hole and takes flight, then another as he solder adjusts his aim. Several warriors shimmy through the cramped space and the injured human spreads his fire in wide arcs, peppering your drones as they rush in from all directions. He lets out a single, stifled yelp as your drones roll over him and continue on their way.

Your drones fan out. You can sense that most of the tunnels are interconnected, moving in spiraling patterns for miles in either direction, while a main hall moves directly across the mountain side to the cave on the far side near the village. Your drones can't make out the entire temple, but it appears to taper slightly along its axis.

Outside half of your sniffers follow the native creatures as they spiral and roll in the air through the vines while the other half move in on the cave. As you follow the natives you notice the size and shape of the mountain range. It is unusually uniform in height, gradually decreasing to a large waterfall where a lake has formed near a massive overhang. A small collection of settlements have formed in the shadow of the mountain surrounding the lake and you see the creatures drumming increases as they approach, triggering the sound of horns and deep bellowing from the collection of villages.

Your other drones move into the cave and quickly spot the crashed bike, snapped in half and half-buried in a crater as it chewed through the doorway. What remains of the door is spinning and slowly separating in rings, folding aside peice by peice.

You can sense the humans running down one of the halls. Your drones quickly give chase, closing the distance.
"Their gaining on us!"
"Already? How?"
"Doesn't matter just run!"
one of the humans turns and fires, spraying into the darkness in the direction of the buzzing and skittering of the coming flood of drones. He continues to run backwards until his weapon makes a click and he spins to run again, dropping the empty magazine.
"Here! There's something here!" You hear the doctor yell and the group moves through a large aperture and into another chamber.
"What the hell is that?"
A chitinous slug impacts one of the soldiers as he limps towards the aperture and he drops in a heap.
"It doesn't matter, shoot!"
Several more slugs fly from the darkness and tear into the remaining troops. Just beyond you see a large sphere of metal suspended in the center of a circular room. It twists and ripples like mercury as the doctor approaches.
"The hell are you doing?"
She reaches out slowly. "I think it's... communicating." The sphere latches onto her arm and pulls her in, then lets out a scream of energy that tears at your mind, sending your drones into an agonized frenzy. A short moment later the sphere explodes, sending the remaining humans flying through the air and slamming them into the walls. Your drones recover and your control over them returns. Most of the humans are dead, either by your drones, or by the explosion, but in the center you see the doctor unconscious in the center of the room.

You feel a ping in your mind, it's Theseus.

>Leave shock troops only
Your pod pulls into a close orbit and your drones take what they can and make their way back to the ship. You detect a sudden release of energy just past the outer reaches of the system as the Union probe's signature reaches your pod. Shortly afterward you see a patrolling Unity cruiser reduce it to an expanding cloud of vapor.

Once you are sure the probe has been destroyed your corvette lifts off and away. It is a short trip to orbit and then in a moment you are looking down on your hive from a distance.

Your shock troops remain in the buried ruins. You have them walk out to view the orbiting server ship. After another hour it spins abruptly and releases a kinetic round, then twists space around it into a tight knot as you see the small formation of Union ships drive it off.
"Malihan to Hope, do you copy? Malihan to Hope, do you read? Ground team?"
Several shuttles and fighter craft drift from the cruiser and drop below the atmosphere. They fly low patterns over the jungle near the burned scar of torched jungle where the camp once was.
"Malihan, this is flight three-three, we're not getting anything down here. No beacons, no transmissions."
"Keep up a search pattern for now, we'll send some marines to look through the rubble."
"Roger that. Flight out."
The small craft flies overhead. You know first hand how difficult it is to spot anything of interest through the dense jungle. You feel confident the searching patrols will not uncover anything on their own.

>>34221844
Which will get us killed if we keep doing it.
Remember that we benefit more from having additional planets then exponential growth.
>>
>>34221737
Current popular decision seems to be
>Replace lost drones
>10 more shock troops
>720 workers
>build 120 farms
>Re-design lancer with stealth field
>Build new ship (write in)
>>
>>34221909
Yes, and add a defensive battery as well?
>>
>>34221901
This hasn't really been established at all. Nor are they mutually exclusive.

>>34221909
I want to add Basic Gliders to our basic Warrior design.
>>
>>34221909
>>720 workers
>>build 120 farms
No I would rather some Stealth Corvettes.
>>
>>34221946
Large Drone+Ground to Space Cyclotron= PLASMA BUG.
>>
>>34221909
Add 60 excavators
Have the twins show us the workings of the healing tube and have repair the ship to contact coils people
>>
>>34221909
>Y
>Stealth Corvette
>>
I think spinal mounts are too expensive, at 1000M per corvette, if we're being stealthy, we should focus on ambush tactics.

Perhaps a small retinue of 4 corvettes with plasma lance on two of the mounts, and linear particle beam just for point defense on the third.

No relays, they'd be controlled from a nearby cloaked pod.

Then they could quickly cripple enemies. We'd need more for larger groups or targets eventually but that's good for now.
>>
>>34221909
Seconding Include a defensive battery per >>34221946

At this point if they come back to our planet the jig is up, might as well be able to defend ourselves

I will also second the addition of basic gliders to our basic warrior design >>34221955
>>
>>34221970
Coils people are confirmed cultists of evil gods.
We're best off not making friends with them.
>>
>>34221970
No you stupid shit stop being shit.

One, Coil probably can call them through the void shard.

Two, are you retarded?
>>
>>34221963
Indeed! And if that is so. It will be mobile and we can hide it underground so it will be hard to find and be targeted.
>>
>>34221909
No battery pls.

Two more pods?
>>
>>34221974
We could just reserve spinal mounts for Frigates and larger. Frigates should still be able to stealth decently, if not amazingly.
>>
>>34221909
>Stealth corvette

There is also some support for anti-orbital batteries. 250N 1500M
How many, if any would you like to build. I'll add up everything on the list later and anything that can't be afforded will be stalled for a day or two until the nutrients are available, with priority for drones, then ships, then structures unless you wish to state otherwise.
>>
>>34221909
Dude we laid more diggers an reifineries a few threads ago. Them and their sweet metrals income is missing.

Fuyck this phone and its typing interface
>>
Guys can we go hunting those big beetles on the plains and building a pipeline to the ocean.
>>
>>34222065
I can support this since we've got a docking pylon now. No real hiding from investigators.
>>
>>34222083
use the speak option, that's what I do, I just fix the mistakes after I'm done.
>>
>>34222065
I would say build two for now.

>>34222083
I'll double check the last few threads. Do you remember which one it was?

Go for two for now. BTW, are these upgradeable once we get better guns? Just asking.
>>
>>34222
Two threads ago? 18. 50 new diggers I think.

We need even more.
>>
>>34222189
your that guy who keeps spamming thinkers aren't ya?

stuff it we need the resources else where
>>
>>34221776
Why not 420 farms for an even 500? Plus some new miners and refineries.
>>
>>34222220
Research is more important and right now we have an influx of workers doing nothing, except eating.
>>
>>34222065
>2 anti-orbital batteries

I think that's it for tonight. I'll stick around until we 404 for questions, comments, or finalizing any drone or ship designs.
I'll also try to answer any questions on the ask.fm throughout the week, and I'll try to remove old questions as they are handled to keep the page from becoming too bloated.

>>34222193
I'll check through it tomorrow then, and fix any resource discrepancies before next thread.
>>
>>34222189
We got enough to do research pretty fast already.

Now we need the twins to teach us REgenereation Tank so we can create an amniotic sac version of it to keep our humans in. Like the Matrix.
>>
>>34222251

On the contrary, our workers are currently building more farms, and presumably we'll soon have them building some new ships.
>>
>>34222251
Yes, before we 404, if you would like to set research options.

Available research here http://pastebin.com/F6t39KSp
>>
>>34222258
We need to retroactively choose researches.

The dark temple needs to be a subject. And that stupid plot armored doctor right?
>>
>>34222259
We got 20 quantum thinkers and 49 normal thinkers.
If we are growing our resources exponentially, we might as well do the dame to research since the more we know the better we are in everything.
>>
>>34222279
The fastest research first.
>>
>>34213389
Finally caught this quest! ok guys an idea here:

colonization project

thinker queens (queens with thinker brains so they're loyal to us)and dormant queens in pods.
when and if red dies, thinker gives a dormant queen all information about red, how she thinks, etc. they will be named red. they will already be positioned at different planets that are being taken cared of by the thinker queens.

we'll be an organic theseus!
>>
>>34222293
And not to mention the research options have been piling faster than we can research them.
>>
>>34222293
Not comparable. Workers scale linearly at construction speeds. Thinkers give diminishing returns.

How about research Union culture, Regen Tank with the twins, and develop new tranquilizer bioweapons, and a pheromone to slow down human thought, like alcohol, or truth serum.
>>
>>34222279
put in
>Extended nature study
and
>Lightning gun
>>
>>34222326
I think that was part of the decoy queen idea, and egglayer made to look like a queen and given a thinker for brains.
Still don't see the use of it though.
>>
>>34222353
We haven't even hit the diminishing returns Mark, where everything takes a day.
>>
>>34222279
The stealth blink problem.

How distant from a ship must we be before the blink drive flash is not detectable?
>>
>>34222279
The tanks, and both armours.
How much faster do quantum thinkers make research?
>>
>>34222372
OH, yea, before I forget. this as well.
>Lyle’s Combat armor
>>
>>34222279
Is it too late to lay more quantum thinker?
>>
>>34222388
>>34222353
Forgot to mention that they lower the risk of dangerous research as well.
>>
>>34222427
3 solutions, each sucking in a different way:

Blink in close to the star, present as a solar flare. Iffy in effectiveness and safety from heat and gravity.
Blink in a light-day coreward of the system, since coreward is unexplored space. Present as faint pulsar.
Blink in beneath the clouds of a gas giant. They're big, hard to miss, but need a corvette to escape its gravity possibly.
>>
>>34222374
ah crap haven't read that part yet.. dammit been saving this idea for weeks lol
>>
>>34222279
current choices are
>Union culture
>Regeneration tank (boosted with help)
>Tranquilizer bioweapon (enhanced version of current sedative)
>Nature study
>Lightning gun
>Combat armor

You have a good number of thinkers, but the current workload would stretch your thinkers thin.

>Focus on (write in)
>Distribute across projects
>Other

>>34222427
Technically, infinite, but if the locals are not looking out for it or it's obscured by a planet it is easy to miss. It may be a bright display of radiation, but it only lasts for a moment.

>>34222441
Depends on the research. They are much faster at inventing or innovating new technology, but are about the same at reverse engineering.
>>
>>34222279
Have the twins assist in everything they can.

.....anything in the Angel, huh.

What about Lyle's legs? Gruesome and fun for the whole family!
>>
>>34222279
>Union culture research
>Extended nature study
>Carbon liquid
>Magnetic Levitation

Union culture research should offer insight into both holographic tech, which is awesome, and Union space combat and general warfare technology. It covers a civil war after all.

Nature is fast and an obvious choice.

Carbon liquid offers a very interesting platform for all sorts of potential applications,

Magnetic levitation would make our large drones far far more nimble.
>>
>>34222279
Carbon liquid
Medium
This strange substance appears to be alive, and reshapes itself by assembling itself into various crystalline structures as needed. You're still not sure if it was trying to attack your ship or if it was simply reacting automatically in some fashion. An extensive battery of tests should reveal more regarding the substance.

>Space dust
Medium
While it was too minute to analyze in the field, this space dust contains trace amounts of nutrient contents. Testing should reveal if it is a form of life, or simply some strange natural phenomena, as well as how to make use of it.

>Union culture research
Medium
Designate several thinkers to read through and disseminate the information within the samples of human literature found within the Clarke. With the wide range of topics covered this should reveal some bits of interesting information on all manner of subjects. >Extended nature study
Fast
Using your new drones you should be able to quickly cover the remaining areas of jungle and study the rest of the local life, especially the various forms of worm that seem to fill the soft soil of the area.
>>
>>34222557
Combat armor is accelerated by twins though.

Also research space dust.
>>
>>34222557
>Focus on (write in)
>Union culture
>Tranquilizer bioweapon (enhanced version of current sedative)
>Nature study

Basically fastest stuff first. Combat armor would be the next most important, in my eyes.
>>
>>34222557
>You have a good number of thinkers, but the current workload would stretch your thinkers thin.
Now you know why I w a noted more thinkers, also they add a bonus to both bio tech trees for us.
>>
>>34222557
focus on regenerate and tranquilizer.

Captcha: chloroform
>>
>>34222557
>Nature study
>Lightning gun
>Combat armor

and
>Distribute across projects
>>
So can we lay more thinkers now?
Even when they are not researching they help out the hive as a whole.
>>
>>34222557
>Focus on Union culture, nature study, carbon liquid
Your thinkers leap to activity studying the new subjects.

I'll stick around for feedback or new designs till we 404, but I think we should call it here for tonight.
>>
>>34222730
Maybe yeah.

No more quantum thinkers though. Their randomness is useful but can also be counterproductive. Not worth more thganb 20 of them.
>>
>>34222557
>>34222279
Your missing both Bio research options.
>>
>>34222800
Does that mean the other projects get less thinkers, or none?
>>
>>34222802
>No more quantum thinkers though. Their randomness is useful but can also be counterproductive. Not worth more thganb 20 of them.
How is it counter productive?
They haven't shown anything to warrant that.

God you are stupid. I do not understand how you can so terrible misunderstand how Quantum Thinkers work. Its physically painful.

Quantum thinkers are better than thinkers. Full stop.
>>
>>34222509
QD since planet orbits are perfectly predictable, we could take scans from one light year away, then blink into gas giant with corvette, drop off pod in orbit, then retreat with corvette. Right?
>>
>>34222847
They divided their attention on pet projects and solutions, often failing and restarting, as we saw several threads back.

>>
>>34222938
We can tell them not to peruse them, and the project presented would greatly help us.
>>
>>34222967
That was ONE thinker whose idea was progressed enough to present to us.

Many others were apparently dead ends they pursued with wild abandon.
>>
>>34222812
It didn't look like it got much support.

>>34222837
None, but with your thinkers focused you should have some freed up by next thread.

>>34222878
Into, or near?
The issue with using the blink drive close to a planet is not that you are not sure where the planet will be, but that you are not sure where you will be. Using the Blink drive close to a source of gravity causes it to become more and more random, so jumping directly into a planet's atmosphere would require a roll, and run the risk of ending up somewhere unintended.
Targeting one side of a gas giant with the intent of obscuring your blink would be much more easy and less risky, but would require a pod or ship in the system to accurately calculate the position in a reliable fashion.
>>
>>34222837
They get none.

>>34222938
>>34222847
>>34222802
Also can we lay thinkers.
>>
>>34223011
QD, I'm curious. Some people think that Quantum thinkers are worse than regular thinkers. I am of the understanding that Quantum Thinkers are pretty much a flat upgrade and simply better than their normal counterparts. Can you give us an idea of which point of view is correct?
>>
>>34223032
Oh, right.
Well the proposed tranquilizer was just proposed as a new invention, so I hadn't been able to add it yet. The sedative it was compared to has already been researched and is in the tech section.
>>
>>056
Not>>34223056
worse.

They just divide the thinkjers into 20 factions.
>>
>>34223056
Quantum thinkers are capable of more randomized, independent thought. This makes them much better at inventing new technology, or innovating technology into new forms, like research linear particle beams after reverse engineering cyclotrons, or inventing a new bioweapon. They are roughly on par with other thinker duties, but are more expensive.
>>
>>34222942
Considered that, but they're not terribly effective vs armor. Tranq darts from the Thorn Launcher should be sufficient for non-lethal takedowns.
>>
>>34223109
So an upgrade more or less.
>>34223065
I remember seeing two different bio research tech options in the last pastebin, it's why I ask about.
