Previously, on Avatar Quest.......

At the announcement, Nur appeared and attempted to turn the crowd against the Queen. You argued in her favor, further dividing the crowd and soon starting a battle in which you, Lathic, Kana, and Narlonok were the only protectors the Queen had. After a battle with Galda that left you with a nasty cut down your chest, you joined Alara in fighting Nur. The two of you began by using your Firebending against him, but he evaded your attacks and made his way towards you. You opened a pit beneath yourself, then elevated yourself high into the air on a pillar of Earth, making yourself a rather difficult target for Nur, who turned his focus on the Queen. Despite your best efforts, he managed to knock her unconscious, though he did receive a scorched right-side in the process. Fighting one on one briefly, you wound up with a cut shoulder, but gave Nur a much more painful injury when one of your fire blasts melted his mask to his face. With Nur subdued, you spoke with Galda, who confessed that Nur was her father, Ren, but refused to tell you Felna's location. As the conversation continued, Galda told you her fear of going back into the Queen's custody, terrified of reliving the torture she suffered as a child. You managed to talk her out of taking her own life, and she told you where Felna was. The two of you travelled to her family's home in the residential district, where you found Felna bound, and one of Ren's followers threatening to kill her if you didn't surrender. Galda quickly killed the woman holding Felna, and freed her from her binds. Felna immediately warned you of three attackers right behind you. In the ensuing battle, Galda was badly wounded, prompting you to go into the Avatar State in order to save her. After waking from unconsciousness, you had a heart to heart with Galda, and agreed to take her to the Queen.

>Welcome to Avatar Quest. Here are the rules.

Decisions are made by vote. Each vote has a ten minute interval, after which, the option that receives the most votes it the one that is chosen.

There are no write-ins unless explicitly stated

Some options require rolls. In that event, rolls will be out of 100. Whether rolls succeed or fail is decided by the first three rolls. If one passes, then you succeed regardless of the other two. Rolls will really only occur during training, or when trying something new.
All decisions are final. If you regret voting for something, too bad. Think carefully before you make decisions.

Try to keep waifu bullshit to a minimum.

You get to your feet, and she does the same.

"I'll take you to the Queen," you tell her.

The two of you reenter the palace and take the stairs up to the third floor. Guards now line the hallway leading to the throne room, but they allow you to pass as you make your way to the large doors.

Upon entering the throne room, you find the Queen sitting in her throne, Lathic, Kana, Narlonok, and a young man and woman you do not recognize standing before it. Kana and Narlonok turn towards you upon hearing the doors open, and the instant they see Galda, they draw water from the pouches at their hips.

Alara looks at them with an alarmed expression, "What are you two doing?"

"The girl was aiding Nur in the battle earlier," Kana tells her.

"You also healed her," Alara points out.

"We did as you ordered," Narlonok counters.

"Well, now I'm ordering you to stand down," Alara tells them firmly.

The two Waterbenders do as their Queen commands, putting the water away and backing off as Alara steps down and approaches.

"Shin, it is wonderful to see that you are alright," she tells you with a smile before looking at Galda. "And, I don't believe I've heard your name."

"Galda," Galda tells her simply.

The Queen's face pales. "G-Galda. It's...I...."

Clearly, she's at a loss for words.

You remain silent, not wanting to say anything at this point.

The Queen struggles to find the words to say, something you can imagine is rather difficult for her. After all, what do you say to someone you did something so horrible to?

"Save it," Galda says bluntly, but not overly nastily. "I didn't come here for an apology; I came here because I want some answers."

"Show some respect when you speak to the Queen!" the young man demands angrily.

"Be silent!" Alara snaps at him before speaking to Galda. "What is it that you wish to know?"

"Well, growing up, I only heard my father's side of things," Galda explains. "But, given recent evidence, I believe that he pretty much did nothing but lie to me the entire time. So, I want to hear your side of what happened between the two of you."

Alara nods. "Very well, let us go speak in private."

She looks back to Kana and Narlonok. "In PRIVATE," she repeats sternly.

She leaves the room, and Galda follows, shutting the doors behind her.

"That girl has a lot of nerve," the young man comments angrily, striding over to the table and taking a seat.

"Galda. Where have I heard that name?" the young woman asks.

"That is the name of Ren's youngest daughter," Lathic informs her.

"That girl was Ren's child?" the young man asks in outrage. "What is that traitor doing walking freely in the palace? She should be in chains right now, just like her father!"

"That is not YOUR decision," Kana reminds him. "The Queen did not tell us to take her into custody, and does not seem to have any intention of doing so."

"The Queen did not even know who that girl was until moments ago," the man points out angrily.

"That changes nothing," Kana replies firmly. "Unless the Queen tells us otherwise, the girl is to be left alone. You would do well to remember that you are not the one in charge here, or perhaps the Queen will have us throne you into prison."

Narlonok gives her a confused look after her pun.

"It is a warning," Kana says simply.

"Both of you, please, stop this," Lathic pleads. "The last thing we need now is more fighting."

"I agree with Lathic," the young woman says. "Please, this is not the time."

The young man shoots the two of them disgusted looks before turning his attention to you.

"So, you must be Avatar Shin," he says, sounding mildly impressed.

"I am," you tell him. "Who are you?"

The man rises from his seat and bows in your direction, though you get the feeling that the gesture is less than sincere, mostly due to the smirk on his face and the arrogant look in his brown eyes.

"I am Tulno," he tells you as he stands straight. "Adviser to Queen Alara."

"To the great confusion and irritation of the rest of us," Kana grumbles.

"Hmm, and here I thought you never questioned the decisions of your Queen," Tulno mocks.

Tulno rolls his eyes. "Thank you, Narlonok."

"And why were you not called upon?" you ask.

While your question is meant to be rhetorical, Tulno answers anyway. "Because right before bright-eyes and I arrived for the meeting, you and Lathic convinced her that holding a big announcement with very little guard when you knew that terrorists who were plotting against her, and had already infiltrated the palace would more than likely be there was a good idea."

"Because your previous merits had not distinguished you," you tell him.

"No, she called me, Yeelnala, and Lathic to the meeting, then cancelled it at the last second," he tells you.

"Why had they not distinguished you?" you ask rhetorically.

"I'm sure you'll tell me," he answers in a dull tone.

"Because obviously you've been over emphasizing your abilities," you continue. "After directly analyzing a situation, I know a lot of things I could have done better now that I can utilize hindsight. However, considering I have a tiny amount of experience, I believe the outcome was much better than it could have been."

"Yeah, well, having your arm cut off is better than having your head cut off, that still doesn't make it good," he replies, still keeping his eyes closed.

"Not to mention, if you were TRULY the genius you tell me to be, wouldn't you have approached me and advised me, considering the sway I have over the Queen?" you ask.

"Kind of difficult considering the fact that, once the meeting was cancelled, I wasn't allowed to enter the palace," he points out. "Of course, that night made it clear that breaking in isn't difficult, but I like to think I have better manners than your little terrorist girlfriend."

"No, it's because you see me as beneath you, which is also evident from how much you're interrupting my sentences," you finish.

"Well, if your decision making skills and powers of deductive reasoning are any indication, you are far beneath me in intellect, at the very least," he confirms. "But hey, defend your stupi-

After all, you can't veto a vote, which is what plenty of people WANTED to do, but veoting doesn't work. So assuming that a player base of 6-7 has a consensus on a few obviously samefagged votes is the best option right?
Not only is this discussion writing like a piece of shit, the entire voting is too.

You do as she asks and follow, leaving the others behind as you exit the throne room. You pass the guards in the hallway, and make your way down the stairs, going to Felna's room on the second floor.

Without knocking, Galda opens the door and tells Felna to come with her. A few moments later, Felna emerges from the room. Galda immediately walks back to the stairs and takes them to the first floor. Felna looks at you in confusion, and you simply shrug, telling her you have no idea what's going on either.

Following Galda to the first floor, you watch as she moves behind the staircase and pulls a wooden plank from the ground, revealing a rope beneath. Pulling the rope, she opens a passageway and climbs into it. You and Felna follow.

Galda immediately seems on edge as the three of you walk down the narrow hallway the passageway lead to. At the end of the hall is a single door. Galda's hand shakes a bit as she opens it and steps through.

You follow, and find yourself in a large room full of metal cells. At the other side of the room is a door that Galda tries hard not to look at. Instead, she focuses on a nearby cell, inside of which a man stands, his arms bound above him and his feet shackled to the floor. His cheeks are horribly burnt, but the rest of his face is covered by the remains of a black and white mask that now looks extremely malformed.

"So, I have visitors, do I?" the man asks.

You remain silent as Galda pulls out one of the daggers you gifted to her and approaches the cell.

"Yes, and if you don't think very carefully about what you say, we will be the last visitors you ever have," she tells him.

The man chuckles. "Oh Galda, such fire, such rage. I wonder; how long before it consumes you, along with everyone around you?"

He glances at you and Felna. "Ah, the Avatar and the traitor. How wonderful to see both of you. Shin, how have you been? I've been thinking quite a bit since you permanently disfigured me."

"It doesn't have to be permanent, not unless you want it to be," you tell him.

Rather than a chuckle, this time he lets out a full-fledged laugh that makes his entire body shake.

"You vastly overestimate the powers of healing, Avatar," he tells you. "There's a point when burns are no longer injuries, but simply scars. And scars do not heal. Besides, even if it were possible, I would not want you to undo it. It serves as a wonderful reminder, and gave me quite a bit to think about."

"I'm always open to a new perspective...wrong or not," you tell him.

He snorts. "Ever the peacekeeper, eh Shin? I've just been reflecting on the emotions that overcame after you burnt my face. The amount of anger, and the desire to inflict revenge upon you, it was almost overwhelming. It made me realize just how right I was about how easily it would mold Galda into a weapon against my sister. It's only a pity the same wasn't done to Felna, or things might have turned out differently. Nevertheless, Felna made a good tool herself."

He looks at you, and you're certain there's a mocking grin hidden under his mask. "I only wish I'd been there to see the look on your face when you found that note I left you. What was your reaction? Sadness? Rage? A deep sense of betrayal that clouded your judgment? Whatever it was, I'm sure it hurt."

"I intend to make sure I never have any more siblings when I get back...but I'll forgive him," you say. "And I think he MIGHT forgive me...eventually."

"Or he'll spend his life attempting to get vengeance on you, just like dear little Galda here," he replies, looking at his youngest daughter, who is now trembling with rage. "Does it hurt, Galda? Knowing that every bit of suffering you experience and blamed on the Queen, I was responsible for? Does it hurt knowing that you were never anything more than a tool for me to use against my sister?"

Galda says nothing, but grips her dagger tightly, her hand trembling worse now.

"Mmm, that anger; until now, when I saw it in you, it was directed at the Queen, or some benders you didn't like," he comments. "And now it's directed at me. I know how you're feeling, Galda. You want vengeance, you want to take that dagger and plunge it into my heart, to watch the life leave my eyes. Well, here's your chance. I am completely defenseless here. So, what are you waiting for?"

Galda stares at him, then at the dagger in her hand, she grips it tighter, takes a deep breath, and puts it away, strapping it to her waist.

"No, I'm done with killing, I'm done with revenge," she tells him, a tremble in her voice.

"Well, I'm not," he tells her. "Make no mistake, Galda. Sooner or later, I will be free from this place. And, when I am, every last one of you will suffer beyond any agony you can imagine. I will stop at nothing until you, Felna, my sister, Shin, and his whole family are dead, and this kingdom is. Ren's sentence is cut off with a pained yell as a large jet of flame strikes him in the chest. His body slumps forward, and goes still.
