It wasn't hard to find Antacids- there was a little convienience store around the corner that sold all manner of things- including some shirts featuring Anzio's tank team- you grab a few of them along with the antacid pills and make your way back towards Miho and Russells.

You are Yukari Akiyama, loader of Oorai Highschool's Panzer IV medium tank, and as you walk back upon where you left your two co-infiltrators you stop dead in your tracks as you feel the color drain from your face. They're surrounded by a half dozen of Anzio's tank team.

You gasp before hopping a few steps back to make sure you're not seen- you're the only remaining asset now and it falls to you to complete the mission and, now, rescue your friends.

>Pull back! Make sure you're not found.
>Move closer- Where are they taking them?
>Other.

they're moving them? we must find out the 5 Ws!

oh God, I think I figured out why they are taking them... remember the GuP MRR wher chapter they stowed onto Oorai? When they found out that there was no more pasta, they turned to cannibalism... and Momo...

Ok, Who forgot to bring the T34-85s? You know BlackJack feeds on Soviet Steel... unless... the aforementioned food coma...
Quick, start throwing German tanks at him, see what he eats!
>>
So... to kill time with some small discussions, how would you rate that Solothurn anti-tank rifle that can be mounted on the Italian tankette compared to its Russian WW2 counterparts?
>>
>>34173236
>anti-tank rifles
Became obsolete in WWI. Big-bore rifles are only really useful for disabling expensive equipment now. And the occasional long-range sniping.
>>
You carefully move towards the crowd, sticking along the low wall that cuts the little copse off from the road. You need to get closer- you need to learn what they've got on your Commander and Russells and where they're taking them. Then you can figure out a rescue plan!

Just as you come up to listen, though, the conversation is drowned out by the roar of a large engine. You turn and hope back behind a small bush- you turn and see a Sonderkraftfahrzeug 7, a German light-half track.

Except it isn't- its got a right-hand drive. You're about to pull out your phone and try to get some information to identify it when its occupants begin to get out- You see the short-haired Semovante commander from earlier, a few more girls in Anzio senshado uniforms and, finally, Anzio's team captain: Anchovy.

>Create a distraction- we need to get Miho and Russells away!
>Stay put- we can't blow our cover this early.
>Get away- we've got a mission.

20mm vs 14.7... Solothurn is better due to roudn size and 10 round mag, but the recoil might cause injuries... hell, this is Gurls Und Panzer, what am I saying? The Anzio girls'll be fine...
>>34173312
which is why I would put 47mm guns on them instead.
>>
>>34173317
>Stay put- we can't blow our cover this early.
we can see but not be seen, while being able to follow them... perfect spot, says I.
>>
>>34173317
>Stay put- we can't blow our cover this early.
>>
>>34173312
Well, it's because I read that the Russian anti-tank rifles actually gave the Panzer III and IV trouble by penetrating their weak side armor, hence one of the reasons for adding skirt armor.
I'm trying to get a measure on how the Italian ones fare in comparison.

If the important personalities are here, then everywhere else is pretty much light on security.
>>
>>34173403
Germans used the Solothurn AT rifle, FYI.
but, yes, this S18/1000 is good*, but an actual Tank gun is a better choice given historical precedence.

*as far as AT rifles are concerned, which are not really.

>Stay put- we can't blow our cover this early.
>>
>>34173312
Let's be fair, PTRS and PTRD rifles are being used in Ukraine right now to fuck up APCs and IMVs.
>>
>>34173317
>>Stay put- we can't blow our cover this early.
>>
>>34173403
New Thought: Solothurn S-18/1100, automatic fire. still only ten rounds, but still.
>>34173593
wait, what? Those old rifles are still being used?not for show or EOD? damm.
>>
>>34173641
The Rebels/Donetsk are using them. Since they use the same ammo as the in-service KPV HMGs, ammo is plentiful.

And it's not like the PTRD is a terribly complex weapons system.
>>
>>34173701
Ah, figures. the Soviets/Russians throw nothing away, so I shouldn't be so suprised
>>
>>34173782
You won't be surprised that the Rebels are packing an old ex-museum T-54, One IS-3 (until it was recaptured) and tons of other ancient shit.
>>
>>34173931
Nope. They have massive storehouses of those, as a 'Just-In-Case-WWIII' plan.

Imagine that IS-3 waking up
>"Zzz... *snrk* Huh? Why did you awaken me?"

Oh, the Irony.
>>
>>34174205
1. Nice find, that vid
2. perfect lines.
3. imagine how confused the old guy/girl is upon learning the new situation.
>"wait, so the Great Soviet Union is no more?"
>"This Putin... is as much a fascist as Hitler!"
>"Screw this, I'm going back to bed."
>*trundles off to Ukrainian lines.*
>>34174290
indeed.
>>
>>34174371

From what I've heard, they actually did use the old girl in combat- mostly as a mobile machinegun nest. I'm mostly just glad that the Ukrainians were able to recapture it without destroying it.
>>
>>34174722
I'm not sure there'd even be any D-25T ammo left to use.
>>
>>34174762
remember: THEY SAVED EVERYTHING
plus, the MG ammo is easy to get, since its still being used.
>>
>>34174835
Ammunition goes off over time, especially the two-piece stuff the D-25T used.

Unless they've manufactured new ammo for a gun phased out in the '70s in the last decade or so, there would be no ammo to fire the main gun with.
>>
>>34175145
First thing to go is the primer followed by the powder. You could just start rolling your own.
>>
>>34175145
like BJ said, they were fine using is as a rolling pillbox.
>>
>>34175183
Sure, but that presumes you have access to the shells in the first place. I doubt the rebels found a cache of BR-471B or OF-471В shells under the pedestal they pulled it off of.

>>34175202
I know that. I'm saying the whole "THEY SAVED EVERYTHING"argument is a bit facetious when it comes to stuff that can't just be dunked in Cosmoline for centuries.
>>
>>34175238
point taken.
>>
You can't hear much with the Sdkz-7's running twenty feet away from you, but you're able to peek your head over the wall- Russells has managed to drag himself to his feet and Miho is supporting herself on the back of the bench.

You get ready to jump the wall- tackle somebody and maybe create enough of a distraction for them to get away- but you're deep within enemy territory. Even the flaregun would only buy you a few minutes of freedom before they could use their numbers to hunt you down. No, you need to stay put.

Anchovy is saying something- pacing around your teammates while tapping her leg with her riding crop. She's obviously gloating over how she was able to find and capture them so easily. She gestures over towards the halftrack and Russells and Miho walk over towards it, with Anchovy following.

>FLARE GUN!
>She's taking them back to their HQ- we need to go there anyway.

As you watch Russells and Miho march up into the halftrack, with Russells needing a bit of a push from Miho to make it up the step. You absentmindedly pull your backpack around to sit on your knees and as the half-track revs its engine and trundles down the road your fingers find the flaregun.

You shake your head, moving your hand away from it. "No... Not yet!" You muse to yourself. This really isn't the worst thing that could've happened- Anchovy will take her prisoners back to their headquarters- you doubt that infiltrations like this are new, so she probably won't have anything set up.

You have everything in your backpack to help you- you were prepared for a lot worse than this, honestly. You stand up and walk down the sidewalk, following the direction that the Sdkz.7 drove off towards.

You're by yourself now- alone behind enemy lines with only your wits and the contents of your backpack. You have the element of surprise, at least until they torture your existence out of Russells- he's a heroic guy, but he's not made of the same iron as Miho.

But even if they know you're coming, even if they have numbers and homebase advantage, there's one thing they will never be prepared for.

Agent.

Yukari.

Akiyama.

There's a girl who leads a life of danger
To everyone he meets she stays a stranger
With every move she makes
Another chance she takes
Odds are she won't live to see tomorrow

Secret Agent Girl
Secret Agent Girl
They've given you a number and taken away your name

Beware of handsome faces that you find
A handsome face can hide an evil mind
Oh, be careful what you say
Or you'll give yourself away
Odds are you won't live to see tomorrow

Secret Agent Girl
Secret Agent Girl
They've given you a number and taken away your name

Swinging on the Riviera one day
And then laying in a Bombay alley next day
Oh, don't you let the wrong words slip
While kissing persuasive lips
Odds are you won't live to see tomorrow

well that's... interesting...
I'm guessing that the spy angle's not lasting.

Anchovy's boyfriend?

I admit that I don't always pay attention to the inbetween discussions, but is that canon or what
>>
>>34177889
depends on BJ, but if I remember correctly, he considers the good writefaggotry *i.e. that and Erika* canon.
