Alright, here's a question about the Directional Fortress under Tianna: Do you feel that Maka may have bitten off more than she can chew when she found it? It's just that a lot of the movers and shakers of Creation would want to either take control of it for themselves, or failing that, destroy Tianna outright to prevent Maka from using it.
Yeah, okay, Maka's a Solar exalt and all, but could really she take on the Realm, possibly at least two different factions of the underworld and the Sidereals of the Bronze Faction? The Realm, in particular, would pull out all the stops to prevent Maka from claiming the power of a Directional Titan.

Oh yeah. Pearl building and Gem. Empire building is usually an entire game of its own. How will that be done while keeping the plot moving? We already have Gem's liberation in mind, but until that happen, a lot of time (and events) will pass.

And it will feel...repetitive? The events and troubles I can think for Gem Arc are the same for Tianna/Pearl. Building and abyssals. Andthe realm.

It's good to know this quest is still alive, the hiatus started right after I finished reading the archives.

Honestly, the quest is really good.
You have a good grasp of what the players find enjoyable and you're really good at writing entertaining dialog. Also, I find the whole "Directional Titan literally beneath our feet" thing to be a bit too much for us to handle right now, not really because we lack raw power (our physical stats are actually good, and our social stats are downright scary) but because we lack the supporting structure to succeed at doing anything but protecting the secret and hiding the entrances.
We lack the infrastructure, defenses, scholars and workers to actually do much of anything without going there personally and either seducing or punching the problem until it goes away.
And as much as I love the "Sex and Violence mantra, there are some things we can't solve with that approach.

That's why we've been assembling other people to help us. And we have branched out a little bit, but what I call the three Fs "Fighting, Fucking, and Faith" will always be our primary focus.

One thing is certain: We need to design Pearl with takeoff in mind. I'd rather not be stuck choosing between using the Titan and keeping our city in one piece if we do manage to get the Titan opporational at some point in the future (or if we fuck it all up and somebody ELSE does).

So, the question becomes: how can we design a city to survive suddenly losing the island it was built on. The two main solutions I can see are either integrating the foundations with the Titan itself and riding it around like a barnacle, or building the foundations of the city as one single waterproof unit and turning it all into an island of its own.

Deled was not your average dragonblooded. He was well into the upper ranges of power that a DB can personally wield. It's not likely that the Relm will send others in his league after us unless we REALLY piss them off. Deled was only out here in the first place because the Relm wanted him off where they didn't have to deal with his shit. The real threat from Relm dragonblooded isn't power, but numbers and equipment. We can probably handle the average DB in a one on one with little trouble, but they're not going to come after us one at a time and on an equal footing. They're going to come ten at a time out of fucking nowhere and open up the fight will artifacts.

Normally, I'm not one to advocate diplomacy when dealing with necromantic Champions of Hell (or their equivalents in various different settings), I'm much more of a "Purge the Heretic, Cleanse them in Holy Flame!" kind of guy, but its best to use diplomacy and to stall for time so we can gather strenght.

As it stands, a direct engagement with any of our enemies is almost suicide.

Do keep in mind that we can only see a very small amount of people and over the course of one thread a week, interact with them surprisingly little.

So try to restrict how expanded the cast gets because its not far from "Hey you Exalted ally #17, help me with this".

It also severely limits Tia Time, which is despicable.

It's just that he wasn't expected to fight you, being part of essentially a recon team. He was alone and with no support. And it still took you, a surprise attack from a Tiger Warrior, and a backstab fom a ninja lunar to bring him down.

As for my npc excess syndrome, i'll spoil you that my plans include, at a bare minimum:
- "closing" Maka's circle, plus respective lunars
-each of them gets at least one mortal henchman (which doesn't get spotlight time unless you actually go after them.)
- filling the abyssal circle plus the Deathlord which depending on your actions might have more spotlight than just being antagonists.
-Depending on how you handle the Gem plot, Gem characters.
-Depending on how you handle the Carve a Kingdom in the West plot, western characters.

In my headcanon, Lillum isn't a bloated form on a block crying for her parents, but a spoiled princess of Hell that projects the souls she carries outside of her body as animal friends that she goes on adventures with. Most people are pretty on board with Exigents, but Liminals are literally just Prometheans from what we've heard, and don't fit Exalted in any way, really. They're dead bodies/minds with new souls that are also, apparently, some kind of exalt. They're supposed to be the underworld Terrestrials, or something, as opposed to Abyssals, which are death Solars.

Most peoples' problems with Liminals and Getimians basically boils down to, 'I literally cannot begin to see what niche you think they'll be filling, and their design choice sounds tacky and not at all fitting with the other Exalted.'

Personally, I'm holding my judgement until I see them, but that's what the argument tends to boil down to.

They're, AT BEST, not canon until the 3e core rulebook is published. There wasn't so much as a whisper of them in the 3e playtest either. Aside from the teaser on Liminals and devs making allusions to the fact that they will be eventually including them, they don't exist yet.

Thus, they're non-canon, until such a time as they actually enter into the canon, at which point they will be canon.

To make it more interesting, if someone writes one (even not necessarily smut) and i like it, or if we get some new drawing from drawfags, they will get:

1) One xp for Maka and the ability to "lock" if, if he wants, for a specific purpose ("only for dawn stuff", "only for a social charm", or whatever, you make up the condition).
2) The ability to give me a name that i will use for a NPC sooner or later (as long as it's not TOO stupid of a name).
3) The ability to decide how many kids will Maka and Tia will have in the next couple of years (like, "none", or "two twin girls", or "three boys and one girl in that order", etc.). There is no guarantee that this will happen in-game, but it will happen!
4) You will get a trivia or a mini spoiler that will probably surprise you without ruining the plot to anyone. Mostly stuff i thought about but won't mention directly, side details, etc. If you have a specific question nagging you this is a good excuse to get an answer, otherwise i'll just reveal something myself (maka or amata's three sizes, tia's four sizes, background details on some npc, what's the meaning of the X, etc)
