Rakshasa, one of the most curious of extra planar races who find themselves drawn to the Material plane as they do not seek total domination. They however are liable to insert themselves as wealthy nobles to gain powers within certain kingdoms and cities. While they do not 'breed' persay the threat of Rakshasa is always on the rise as when they die, they are reincarnated as an adult with the powers they held in their past 'life'. Their enemies, The Devas, are similar in this respect.

Nothing truly will prey on a Rakshasa unless the enemy is gaining revenge for a crime committed or revenge for a slight against them. One of their true dangerous powers is their magical potential that is ingrained within their bodies every time they are reborn, making them natural born sorcerers and wizards, though a few seek to step forward into melee combat using their magic to augment their skills.

What happens if a Rakshasa has no memories of his former life? How will he progress with his new life and where will he end up. Now that is for us to decide.

A: A Mountain Range far from any human civilization, far to the north.
B: A Forest clearing where wild things live in the west.
C: A Large city in a back alley where one could slink away from danger.
D: In a Desert where the slightest misstep can lead to death.
E: Write in with a location.

“And up next is the sale everyone has been waiting for!” A Drow said with a large grin on his face, and using a spell to enhance the volume of his voice looking on into the crowd of Drow with gold coins and things at the ready to bid on whatever it was. “Feast your eyes my friends. On a captured...Rakshasa!” The drow pulled a curtain and showed the Rakshasa chained up within a large cage, bright eyes looking out as many different creatures began to bid on him.

The powerful chains and cages suppressing the magic of the tiger furred magical outsider. As they went and all of them bid, it started to stop between a few drow families and a few outsider races native to the Underdark that would be at least as bad as the drow buying them.

Who buys them though?
A: The Drow house of Mu’Nue
B: A Duergar Merchant by the name of Mindran
C: A shadowy figure that all the drow seem to be keeping a fair distance away from known as “Clawsharp”

"And Sold to the Lovely Matron Mu'Nue, we will have the slave delivered to where ever you wish." The Auctioneer said as the Matron stared at the slave from atop a floating disk.

After a time the Raksha was hauled away still in the cage and brought into a large 'throne room' of the Drow's house. With a few warrior standing on balconies and a small 'family' of drow standing not far from the solid marble throne of the Matron who's purple eyes stared at him.

"Welcome to our House Rakshasa." Said the Matron as she started to stand. "Do not fear, I do not intend to slay you even though your pelt would look excellent on the floor infront of my throne here."

"No, I intend for you a different purpose. One where we can make good use of your natural talents." She said and looked to the wizard next to her who snapped his fingers allowing the chains to fall off and the door of the cage open without a creak.

"I want you too..."

“To protect my daughter as she goes on a Quest to the surface world.” The Matron explains motioning to the daughter who is dressed in priestly garments of Lolth staring at the Raksasha with half interest. “She will be going to reclaim an area taken from us by Surface elves, it will be her duty to protect it. Thus it will be your duty as well.”

“Of course, until you disobey me or become useless.” The Daughter says, her red eyes flashing as her snake headed whip hisses at her side, standing as she does and looks at the Matron. “I will be obtaining the equipment for the journey tomorrow Mother. I will not fail you.”

“Grub will lead you to your quarters you may rest in until tomorrow. Then you will be off to do as my daughter commands. I hope you are wiser then the last slaves we bought…” She says looking up causing the Raksasha to see the hanging corpses of gnomes, humans, and dwarves from the ceiling with arrows in them.

A small goblin tugged on the rags of the Raksasha’s pants and he started to lead them away as the Matron dismissed them into a room that seemed to be near bare except for a bed and a chest. Looking within there were much finer robes befitting a wizard, clearly stolen or ‘bought’ from the surface and a scimitar of mithral with the markings of elves of…some kind.

The next morning a small party, consisting of the Daughter, the Raksasha and about ten kobolds started to follow a long path that took them many miles away and toward the surface. Eventually coming to a tunnel that showed they were in the middle of a tomb’s burial chamber that seemed empty. Statues of different creatures adorning it as they started to make a small base so deep within…wherever they were.

A: Offer to ‘scout’ the area.
B: Try to ‘get to know’ the daughter more.
C: Try to figure out what the hell is with the ‘home’ they now live in.
D: Try tapping into the magic of your soul.
E: Practice with your sword, on a kobold.

"I will be attend a matter..." The Rakshasa says as he stands up and goes toward one of the statues, admiring it's life like form and figure. Tapping it on the forhead and seeing bits of it flake away. CAusing him to continue tapping until the elven statue shows that it truly was an elf that was covered with what seemed like plaster. "Might as well make room."

As the kobolds worked on the tunnel below the tomb to make small homes for themselves and move the items required by their larger 'masters' they heard a mighty slam against the stone walls causing them to hurry to see what it was.Showing a wall of dust where a few magic missiles had struck the few statues standing around the room.

"Not horrible, if I need you to kill a few rats." The Drow Priestess said sharpening a few knives on a skull from the floor before tossing it into an alcove. As this all went on the Kobolds looked at one another as they were going back to digging when they all heard something from behind a half rotted wooden door.

"Did you hear something speaking Undercommon down there?"

A: Use magic to hide!
B: Prepare an defense.

"What are the orders then?" He asks looking back at the Priestess who was looking at the door and picked up a stone muttering before flicking it with her thumb to cause a small explosion showing a pair of halflings.

"Kill them."

"With Pleasure." The Raksasha says but considers his options of exactly how to attack the two...

A: A Nice attack spell. Let's get some Halfling Cooking going on!
B: Magic? Nah dog let's chop 'em up into littler bits.
C: Mix the two for some fun!

With a growl the Rakshasa ran forward with his blade and made large slash down and brought his hand down on the other with his claws. Chopping into the fatty halfling's body and cutting off it's head. The other screamed as the claws of the paw gripped it's skull with a dominating grip and pulling the blade to make another cut on the creatures body before someone said "Stop Now."

Looking back the Drow Priestess had an evil smile as she walked forward and put a hand on the bleeding halfling's face softly and gripped it's shirt. "I'll be taking this one..."

A: Go out and scout while she has her fun.
B: Offer to help with it.
C: Take the rest of your blood lust out on a Kobold.
D: Examine the Halfling for anything on it.
>>
>>34098408
D. Could have a dagger in there somewhere. It'd be bad to have the girl die while we are still so early in our plans.
>>
>>34098378

>implying I meant no magic ever
I'm sure there is a text to two somewhere in that drow city that describes our powers. But blatant use of such, on such weak enemies, shows our captor(s) how willful we may be. Better to bide our time, watch how our prey (drow priestess) operates. Give her time to become complacent with us. To become less wary of our magical side. Then when the time is right, strike. Flagrant displays of power when captive do nothing but hasten the grave quicker.
>>
>>34098512
We're a caster. They would hardly know of all of our powers. It's not like we're transforming in front of her or something. Just a small attack spell to make things interesting.
>>
>>34098408

D

>couldn't hurt to search and perhaps pocket something that could aid our self to freedom.
>>
>>34098572
I think he means check for weapons and such, as the Drow intends to torture the Halfling. A dagger to the gut before she can do so would put an end to this pretty quickly.
>>
>>34098687

Ah, I see. Very good point. I thought he meant loot the corpse. The choice would still be D, but now for new reasons.
>>
As the Halfling starts to gasp in breath as it's lifeblood drains slowly. Grasping a few things in it's pouch to find a few coins, a small sling with some stones, along with a few large chunks of Oynx which the Halfling views with fear before the final lights of life drains from it.

Such an interesting jewel to find on the halfling as the other halfling starts to scream in pain. Clearly the Drow having some sort of fun as a tunnel system from beyond the now ruined door showing itself with a bit of interest...
A: Go scout the tunnels alone.
B: Go see if you can join in the fun!
C: Go see what the Kobolds are even up to.
D: Go see if you can do anything with the Onyx you found.
E: Write in
>>
>>34098760

D

>I'm curious about the fear it demonstrated when seeing the onyx. If possible, Detect Magic on the stone(s).
