Previously on Prisoner Quest, you had a hobby-horse race and swapped out your eyes for a new pair.

You are currently sitting on a stool at the bar, watching as the robot bartender pours you out something blue. The room fills with a smoky odour as the enigmatic beverage starts to fizz and bubble.

The Immoral Overseer watches silently for a moment before sliding the drink down the bar so that the glass comes to a stop right in front of you.
This place never used to be here. Where did it come from? Why is the Overseer bartender not attempting to subdue you? Should you really be drinking whatever the hell this is?

I mean, maybe it'll just raise our Sin Value. But really. Can't trust a robot.

Drink up. We shouldn't consider this too ominous; we upped our Age Value above 21 and triggered an age gate.
>>

>[ ]Don't be a baby, drink up
If the robots were looking to attack us, they would just come out and do it, not create an entire room in our cell.
>>

>>33872194

If the Overseers wanted to hurt you, couldn't they just come out and hurt you? It certainly didn't stop them last time.
"Th-thank you."

You raise the glass to your lips, breathing in the burning scent. You don't hesitate any further before tossing it back, forcing it down into your mouth.
It tastes...it tastes...not all that awful actually!

Energy Value: 95
Dream Value: 28
Sin Value: 60

It feels warm and prickly, the liquid etching a path down your throat. It actually reminds you a lot of the imposter weeds but a lot more enjoyably impure.

The Overseer is already refilling your glass.

Death to all robots.
>>
>>33872454
Wave him off. Too draining to our energy. Let's go inspect the things in the bar on the Control Room values adjustor.
>>
>>33872487
>Control Room
No, we have a location tracker ankle bracelet still on.

If we try to leave through the Entrance Hall, something bad will happen.

We have to find a way from the dream world into the real world that isn't in the Cellmate's closet.
>>
>>33872454
Ask for something sweet.
>>
>>33872514
Right problem, wrong solution. Take some weight plates from the Gym and put them over the Overseers' hatch so they can't get out. Then go to the control room, weaken the hatch so the weights crash through and immobalize them again, but this time shoot into the hole and slag them.

After stealing the hats, of course.
>>
>>33872454
Disregard alcohol. Grab an imposter weed and be ready to eat it.

Try sticking one ankle out into the Entrance Hall and see what happens. If they come to knock you out, eat the weed.
>>
>>33872454
Bartenders know all the gossip right? Ask him what's going on around these parts.
>>
>>33872664
Ask it about itself. Try and get some information about Immoral Overseers. What are they, why are there here?
>>
>>33872646
We do need to start thinking of a plan. We have a very obvious enemy that needs to be killed if we're going to have any realistic chance of escape.
>>
>>33872745
Also consider we still don't know how many Immoral Overseers there are.

Or where the secret passage in the closet that it uses is.

We could try and threaten one to show us with the laser rifle next time we're in Hi-Sec.
>>
>>33872646
Not sure if the weights are large enough for that. Now that we have 100 str maybe we can just manhandle them and take their batteries out.
>>
>>33872525

"Do you have anything sweet?"
The words come easily to you, sliding out your throat without issue. What happened to your stutter? Has it been erased by this virtuous elixir?

The Immoral Overseer nods, pulling out a bottle of something as clear as water but almost as viscous as syrup. It pours it into your glass while refilling it with the blue liquid at the same time, mixing them together seamlessly.

It tastes great!

You laugh without really knowing why. It just seems like the natural thing to do. You don't know if you've ever felt this warm and happy your entire life.
This robot can't be a bad guy. It's your friend.

>>33872664

You decide to chat up the Immoral Overseer and see if it knows what's going on.
"So what are you doing here anyway? What's going on in these parts?"

Due to his lack of a mouth, the bartender is once again unable to reply with words. His eyes flash at you like signal lights.

"No really. What's your deal? What makes you so Immoral compared to regular Overseers? Why don't you get a moustache or hat?"
You make a clumsy motion to the Quadruple Hatstack perched on top of your head.

You stand up, accidentally knocking the bar stool over. Waving goodbye to the bartender you make your way back to the Bedroom.
You want to go through the Entrance Hall and into the Control Room but the plastic band on your ankle is weirding you out. What if it tracks your location? Will it rouse the Overseers the moment you step foot outside of your cell?

You pop into the Garden and grab a handful of imposter weed and store it within your voluminous Hatstack. You gather your usual items in preparation.

Inventory
Clothes: Pyjamas, Overseer-grade Hat, Overseer-grade Hat, Overseer-grade Hat, Overseer-grade Hat
Right Hand: Laptop w/Extension Cord
Left Hand: Laser Rifle (Charged enough for one shot)
Pockets: Garden Key, Gym Key, Magician Key, Silver Key, Black Key, Bronze Key, Gray Key
Hatstack: Imposter Weed.

Your next stop is the Gym. The Values Adjuster is still sitting around in here. You grab a bunch of weights and make sure to lock the Gym again on your way out. You pile all of the weights and a treadmill on top of the Basement trapdoor. There, that should buy you some time! Even if they can shove it all aside you should still have enough time to get to the Control Room.

You unlock the Entrance Hall door and step through, ready to start your mad dash. Sure the band on your ankle will alert the Overseers but you're ready to oh god what is that

What?

We knew that. This one wasn't the same as the one in the closet. So we've met three.

And we knew they aren't in the closet at all times. So presumably more in the space that the closet secret passages lead to.

We have to exit the dream world into the real world, and reach the Control Room to adjust the anklet's Battery Value to 0.

Something's make a racket in the Basement.
>>
>>33873426
Not good. Grab gun, get ready. We only have one shot at this; if we can get them just as they come through the weights we can slag them all. If we miss one we can try to wrestle it.

Or maybe they can't get out. If that's the case, I want to see it.
>>
>>33873426
Grab 2 more imposter weeds. And go into the Gym and reach the values adjuster.

Eat the dream weeds and slam the beads into the spare slot. Max out Sin Value, up Age Value to 99, max out Quickness Value.

Then it's time to dream.
>>
>>33873426
Do we still get energy from food? I forgot.

Go eat food.
>>
>>33873535
Uh what?

Don't we get Hunger Value from food?

Besides Energy Value is restored after a night's rest.
>>
>>33873526
>up Age Value to 99
That's not what the desert man wants. He wants us to have very low Dream when we talk to him.
>>
>>33873535
>>33873557

Eating normally fills up your Hunger Value. You haven't eaten for a pretty long time though and your Hunger Value has been sitting at 0 without any ill effect. You don't even feel hungry.
>>
>>33873557
I figured we used the food for energy.
>>
>>33873596
Oh I know, I just wanted to see the veins glow more.

I imagine, like the imposter weeds, something special happens at Age Value 100, and I'm not ready for that.
>>
>>33873619
That's never ever been how it works. Pay attention.
>>
>>33873620
We have to be careful to not kill ourselves. Everything's pointed to us not being human, and even if we were human the tarot beings have made us something else anyway.

We really should be a little more wary about absorbing them. Getting all of them is an end condition; we might crystallize so much that we become a statue. That would suck. Or we could become a god. That would be pretty great.

When we have all but one, we'll consider things.
>>
>>33873690
Trailed off topic there. We're probably not human, but we still might die of old age. Slamming age too high killed one of our plants, it might kill us.
>>
>>33873712
Yeah but not the imposter weeds, who seem a lot more akin to us than our purple plant children ironically.
>>
>>33873752
That's almost certainly true, but I'm just urging caution. If we want more Age, let's creep it up slowly, not slam 30 beads at once.

But I see no need to adjust age.
>>
You grab some more of the weeds and then go back into the Gym where the Values Adjuster awaits you. You do your usual method of breaking the spare beads limit over your knee via dream weed and start messing around until you end up with this:

Name Value: ?????
Gender Value: Indeterminate
Age Value: 99
Hunger Value: 0
Energy Value: 30
Strength Value: 100
Toughosity Value: 100
Quickness Value: 100

Dream Value: 0

The crystal tendrils within you are like their own constellation now, etching star patterns across your skin. Though the rest of your body doesn't change, you start to get the feeling that someone or something is standing just behind you.
It is too late for you. You are tainted beyond saving. With this Sin Value any action is possible for you now, no matter how inappropriate or immoral it is. The lives of others mean nothing to you.

There is still crashing in the Basement. You are faced with a choice.

Too late for what? To be taken by whoever is behind us? To ever reduce our Sin?

Kill the overseers. They are our enemies, and that is a very unhealthy status to have.
>>
>>33873831
Dream and pack the keys and some spare imposer weeds with us. in case we meet the Cellmate.

>>
>>33874011
SELF control. Being capable of anything is not a good thing. We need to have some humanity to anchor us.

90 sin will still be enough to accomplish anything we care to do.
>>
[X] Dream

You have more pressing matters to attend to than the affairs of a few robotic ants. You will crush them underfoot when the time comes.

Uh...

You reach back to the Values Adjuster and dial back your Sin Value a little, back down to 90. You still feel unfettered by social constraints blah blah but your thoughts a little less grandiose now.

You lock the Gym door behind you and grab another imposter weed from the Garden, taking the time to count how many you have left as you do so. It looks like a Quantity Value of 6 or so, not counting the unplanted pearls.

You devour the plant and feel it burn inside of you as your perception begins to alter. Are the altered perceptions the prelude to the Dreamworld or is the Dreamworld created by your altered perceptions?
You think about this for about half a second before going to sleep in your Bedroom.

You wake up in your Dreamworld Bedroom. There are nine doors here.
>>
>>33874061
>SELF control
Yes, that's what I said? We have complete control over ourselves, instead of being constrained.

You wade through the room and sniff the bottles. They all smell so warm and inviting. Lotus petals float within their depths.

Dream Value: 98

You take a sip of one, feeling it go straight to your head.

Dream Value: 103

The room spins around you a little before you calm down. What the hell is your Dream Value even doing? Maxed out is maxed out for a reason, you can't go higher than that!

>>33874325

Feeling pretty good regardless, you pluck a lotus flower and make your way to the Reversed Forest.

The Devil is still where he always is.
"S-sup?"

He takes one look at you and laughs and laughs and laughs.
"Now that's more like it. You've paid your price so I'll pay mine. Here, take these. Any of us can be your friend for this price, even if you don't measure up to their fancypants standards."

He transmutes into a smooth Monolith Being and becomes one with you. After he disappears, you find two red cards lying on the ground where he was. They remind you of playing cards but they've been scribbled over by obnoxious black marker. The words 'Free Pass' are written on each one.
>>
>>33874502
Grab the free passes. I'm guessing we need one to get the Emperor or Empress.

Go to the rainbow road.

Emperor/Empress maybe? My plan was going to be attacking them, but this will be better.

>>
>>33874502
Ohhh.

I thought we were gonna have to use time manipulation, or possibly Age Value shenanigans, in order to convince the Empress and the Emperor that we had gotten the other already through a predestination paradox.

Like, set ourselves older, tell the Empress we got the Emperor when we were little, then reduce Age Value and show him the Empress card, so we must have gotten her already.

But that was stupid never mind.

At the last moment however you decide to backtrack all the way back to the Reversed Forest and through the tower to get back down to darn Monolith.
This would have been a lot more efficient if you'd done this first but oh well, nobody's watching.

Dream Value: 69

You find yourself before the crystal Monolith once more. You grab hold of it and feel it react to the crystal within you, both of you lighting up. Which is all very impressive for sure but you still can't move the damn thing!

You kick it in disgust. What's the fucking point of having this, then?

>>33874564

Alright to the rainbow road for REALS this time. You backtrack a third time and keep going until you wind up following it all the way to the fork where the Sun used to be.
Justice is somewhere above you and you don't actually know where the Slippery Slope leads besides death.

Dream Value: 53
>>
>>33874905

Wut. I missed that. You're right, though.

Go down the Slippery Slope. Let's see what's down here.
>>

I hope it leads to the real-world Storage Closet or something.
>>
You inch your way down the treacherous bridge, keeping your eye out of the gray lady and her pale horse. She's nowhere to be found. Did you vanquish them permanently? You don't remember absorbing them but the Dream Journal says that you beat her.
Defeating her through dying. Trippy.

You follow the Slippery Slope for what feels like ages but is probably only a few minutes.

Dream Value: 52

You are forced to stop in the end however as the bridge only grows thinner and thinner. In the end it's nothing more than a rainbow thread that extends itself back up into the clouds.

You can't travel on that, you'd break it!
>>
>>33875122
I'm guessing we need to be tiny.

I want to go across that line. All the Arcana are accounted for; this is something new. When we next are ready to sleep, set height to 1, but not until then.

Right now, go bribe the Emperess and talk to the Emperor, and wait out the Earth. Not Justice. Ignore her. We need to save one unabsorbed.
>>
>>33875122
Save Game.
>>
>>33875122
What happens if you break the thread? Or is it a magic thread with all the strength of the bridge?

If it does let you drop (not a big loss, if it doesn't go anywhere), then use either the Bar or Gym method of producing points.

Finally, rethink the consequences of your quest to absorb all the crystal monsters, preferably with a Sin Value of ~50.
>>
>>33875270
No. Let the Emperor and the Empress be the ones we save.

Because what if those cards have another value? Let's not expend them until we decide to get the last 3 Arcana for real -- Emperor, Empress, and Fool.
>>
>>33875301
Fair enough.

Backtrack. Go down to the Cellmate's closet. Let's see if we can free him.
>>
>>33875355
What? No.

If you go to Dream Hi-Sec you'll be trapped and can't come back during this dream sequence.

And you can't get into the Dream Closet because every single door is barred in the real world.
>>

100 strength ain't nothing to fuck with.

If we get World, we won't have much dream. I suppose we can get some more from the Dream Bar though.

The World takes off their cloak and turns to face you. It's like looking into a mirror. Or at least, like looking into a mirror a few days ago. Their veins are filled with blood and their eyes are regular old eyes rather than windows to the cosmos or whatever.
"No matter what happens, you must not forget to neglect those that await you in the waking world."

"Uh huh okay, g-get in the bag please."
Your doppelganger rolls their eyes and sighs before crystallizing and merging with you.

A scrap of paper drifts to you on the wind. It has the words ‘Tarot Coupon’ written on it and some fine print below it.
“Submit to Arcana or to their respective card if they are absorbed for one free follower! One use only.”

You put in your 'pak with everything else before dragging yourself out of the television.

Save what?

You sort of want to go grab the Emperor/Empress or visit your Cellmate's dream prison but you are feeling extremely conflicted on the matter.

Well now that we have The World checking out Dream Hi-Sec is cool again.

Go check it out.

The keyhole in the closet. We haven't tried to use it yet. Do it!

And have we been in the Kitchen? I can't remember.
>>
>>33875593
Let's not obsess over the dream world. The real world has plenty of things to do. Like freeing ourselves from the shock band, killing the overseers, and freeing the Cellmate.
>>
You visit the Bar again and take another sip of lotus juice.

Dream Value: 24

That should keep you topped up for a bit! With that done you head back through the Entrance Hall and down the rainbow road to the dream castle, looking for the highest room in the tallest tower.
Dream Value: 22

There's a hole in the roof below you again but you know from experience now that it'll seal up the moment you drop through. The only way out will be through their Closet.

We've nothing but dead ends now.

Unless you want to try out the burning light corridor again and see what happens now.

Ah. Is there anywhere else to go on the path we're on now?

If not, try to get into the keyhole in the Closet. If/when we wake up, it's time to teach some robots who's boss.

Again, we can't do that until we set Height Value to 1.

It's time to wake up from this dream, so we might as well check how tightly sealed the dream cell is.
>>
>>33875800
Closet keyhole might be the way into reality during a dream. That way we'll be free from the brace.

If our body is still there, we can use the Control Room to turn its Toughocity or Battery to 0.
>>
>>33875825
Duh.

But we already tried all our keys on it. We've done everything we can tonight at this size and sinfulness.
>>
>>33875800
>Ah. Is there anywhere else to go on the path we're on now?

You've explored the Rainbow Road quite thoroughly. The fork you're on leads only to the Hi-Sec Dreamcell, the second fork leads to Justice while taking no forks at all leads to the Spider Bridge, which you cannot currently cross.
>>
>>33875800

No. The thread and Justice are it and they're dead ends.

We're done here. Just for something to do, jump down the hole and try to get into Cellmate's room.
>>
>>33875889
I was saying that 10 minutes ago.
>>
You don't know what to think anymore. It feels like part of your brain is trying to eat the other part. You jump down into the hole.

You are back inside the Dreamworld Hi-Sec Bedroom. The Cellmate is lying unconscious on his bed.
You didn't even know it was possible to be asleep in the Dreamworld while you were asleep in reality.

Whoa whoa we don't wanna kill the guy at 100 Strength Value.

That'll send him back to the real world where he's in bondage.

Just sorta slap him a bit if you have to get physical.
>>
>>33876040
You kick open the Closet door. It's empty save for a lot of clothes and the Waking Door in the back.

You shove some of your weed into his face but it has no effect. It doesn't really have much effect in the Dreamworld.

>>33876066
>>33876071

You give him a hearty wake-up punch! You forget your own monstrous Strength Value so the force of the punch snaps the bed in two and vanquishes him from the Dreamworld.
Well shit. Maybe he's awake in reality now?

Oh shit. Well into the Waking Door then.

>>33876273

He's probably fine. You've died in a dream like, at least twice now. You go into the Closet and enter the Waking Door, stepping into the real Hi-Sec Bedroom.

Dream Value: 18

The Cellmate is awake albeit gagged by his plastic restraints. More importantly, his Immoral Overseer stirs from underneath the bed. You don't have the Laser Rifle with you anymore, you don't scare him.

He stalks closer and closer, trying to corner you. Well, the Bedroom is circular and thus doesn't have corners but you get the intention all the same.
>>
>>33876452
Use high Quickness Value to kite him. He'll try to gas us or something.

>>
>>33876528

The Immoral Overseer collapses like a sack of robot bricks.
>>
>>33876581
Ungag Cellmate.

Uh, make sure our eyes are under control and human-ish looking.
>>
>>33876581
Break the Cellmate's restraints.
>>
>>33876581
Crush the restraints while taking special care to not crush Cellmate's bones.

Tear off his gag first so he can talk.
>>
You grab the plastic bindings wrapped around him and pull with all your might. Unfortunately they're all made from the same plastic as the walls and doors. They mould and stretch in response to force but do not break. If you had something sharp it'd be a different story. You're pretty sure that your high Strength Value directing a sharp edge can cut whatever you please.

You are able to loosen them a little however. Enough for him to talk.

Dream Value: 12

"Sweet! You can break me out now."

"N-not yet. I need something sharp."

"I could have told you that. If I'd, uh, been awake. Nice moves on that 'seer by the way!"

"Th-thank you."
>>

How is he bound? Little handcuffs or massive Dexter-style full body? If it's small, stretch them enough to let him wiggle that limb out and repeat.
>>
>>33876808

S-Sorry about opening the Closet, by the way.

Hand him an imposter weed that will make him dream, too.

We'll be back with hats soon.
>>
>>33876808

>>
>>33876808

We don't have very many of those. We can give him one once we can replicate them in the Control Room again.
>>
>>33876902
We can do that next dream session.

We shove a hat in the tarot deck (assuming it can fit?).

Then we can get from the dream to his cell to the Control Room and max out the Age Value of the seeds we will have planted before we went to sleep.
>>
>>33876933
I don't think there's a hat rack cell-side. Just hub-side.

The Cellmate might refer to them as 'Hannibal Lecter' style restraints only without the mask. He doesn't bother to make this reference though because he figures that the Prisoner wouldn't get it at all.

>>33876855

"I'm dreaming again, j-just like last time."

"You know, I'm actually starting to believe all of this bullshit."

You harrumph.
"W-What did it look like when I 'woke up'?"

"You just vanished. Freaked me the hell out for like, three seconds before the Overseer clonked me. Thanks for that by the way."

"I-I already said sorry!"

"Yeah yeah. What's up with you, anyway. You look...older. Like, a few years older."
You're surprised that he doesn't point out the shining crystals running all through your body. Surely those are more obvious?

This is a full-body bind, it can't get THAT loose!

"Y-you'll see."

The doors are barred but that doesn't really stop you. You rip your way into opening the Basement door.

A Values Adjuster just like yours is here. The Cellmate's face is locked into the monitor.

There we go. His Values are a mess and there's no spare beads. Did he mess around with this at some point? How did he notice the changes?

You shuffle his Height Value to 1 before going back into the Bedroom. The restraints on the bed are still in place but they are empty. Well, sort of empty. The Cellmate is still there, just reduced to four centimeters high.

You pick him up, hearing his very quiet screams as you do so. You deposit him on the floor, go back to the Basement and set his Height Value to 50, making him the same height as you.

Dream Value: 5

"What the fuck? What happened? Why are you GLOWING?"

"...No. No it is not obvious. I messed around with that thing before, it didn't do anything!"

"M-maybe you just couldn't notice it. But that's your problem, not mine."

"But that doesn't make any sense!"

"At t-this point you should just start rolling with it. It's only going to get weirder."

"Man this is fucked up."

Dream Value: 3

>>33877624

"L-look, I'm about to vanish again. Can you tell me anything about ankle bands that shock you when you leave your cell?"

He shakes his head.
"Not ringing any bells. Where is it? I don't see it on you."

"It's not on me. It's on the real me. Try to k-keep up."

"Okay sure, on the other you. No big deal."

Fit a hat into the tarot deck box.

Dream Value: 2

"Just eat it later and you'll s-see. I have to go now."

"Aren't we escaping now?"

"Not y-yet!"

"Oh yeah, that's fine. No need to get up on my account."

Dream Value: 1

"W-what? Getting up on your account is basically all I've been doing!"

>>33877852

Your conversation is interrupted as you wake with a start. Back in your real-life Bedroom again.

You spring out of bed and head to the Garden straight away. You have six weeds left. You plant ten pearls. Hopefully you can use the Control Room to grow them soon.

You take one component of your Quadruple Hatstack and try to fit it inside your Deck-Box but to no avail. It's way too large!
>>
>>33878082
Shrink yourself so the shock anklet comes off.
>>
>>33878082
Dammit. How do we get to the real world like this?

Lower Sin Value to 10, anyway.

And then...

Well, if we're lowering our Height Value to whatever's small enough to climb the thread, we need to be able to reach the Values Adjuster when we wake up to put it back to normal.

So, grab a weed, get on top of the values adjuster on the gym floor, and be sure and dream on top of the values adjuster after shrinking yourself.
>>
>>33878098
Or we can do that. Yeah.

Then make several trips to the Control Room to breed several generations of the imposter weed.
>>
>>33877521
>Well, sort of empty. The Cellmate is still there, just reduced to four centimeters high.

>his clothes shrunk with him instead of falling off

I forgot that was how it worked.
>>
>>33878135
>Dammit. How do we get to the real world like this?

I don't quite understand the question?

>>33878098
>>33878175

You go visit the Values Adjuster in the Gym and dial your Height Value down to about 25 (100cm, 3'3"). After that you just step out of your anklet easily.

With that taken care of, you are able to leave your cell once again and get to the Control Room. The Exit door here is still blocked by something on the other side and the other door is still padlocked.
You cycle through all of the cells but you still can't find a way to peer into the Hi-Sec Cell either. That doesn't make sense. Surely the High Security Cell would have security cameras?

Well, you're not here for that right now anyway. You spaz out all over the Age Value button on the Control Room Values Adjuster, aging all ten seeds into seedbearing adults. You do the same for the six you already had.
After a trip to the Garden and back, you do it all over again until you have around fifty weeds all awkwardly sharing space in your troughs.
>>
>>33878251

It worked like that the very first time you did it but I sort of phased it out for every time afterwards since it just made things a little more complex without good reason.
>>
>>33878332
Set sin down to 10. Let's go to Hi-Sec and meet up with the Cellmate.
>>
>>33878371
>set gender to female
>>
>>33878332
>I don't quite understand the question?
Not being able to bring hats into the dream world meant not being able to escape Hi-Sec into the rest of the real world.

But that's moot now, obviously.

Put a couple pearls in your tarot deck box for safekeeping.

Check the Basement trapdoor to see if the weights are still trapping the Overseers.

Adjust Height Value back up to normal and set G to 1.

And then to Hi-Sec to check on the Cellmate in the flesh.
>>
>>33878407
>>33878403
>>33878384

Walking back to your cell, you put two pearls into your Deck Box for later purposes. You never know when you'll need them after all! Your next stop is the Basement, where you see that the treadmill is still on top of the trapdoor.

Back in the Gym, you set your Height Value back to normal, your Sin Value down to 10 and your Gender Value to Female.

You gather together all of your usual items once more and check on all of the Hi-Sec options in the Entrance Hall Doorwheel. The Laboratory, the Director Access room and the Hi-Sec Cell are still there. You guess that the Overseers aren't permitted to change it?

You set the door to the Hi-Sec Cell and open it, this time holding your ears so that the awful alarm doesn't bother you.
The Cellmate is waiting for you.
"That's more like it. We good?"

"W-we're good."
It comes out practically as a whisper as you find yourself blushing furiously. What's going on?
Oh right, your Sin Value. That might be a problem.
>>
>>33878642
So, there's no way out the exit yet, but there's this Storage closet....
>>
>>33878642
Go to the control room and see if you can mess with his stats.
>>
>>33878705
What?

We can mess with his stats by going to the Basement in his cell, dude.

And also the Control Room cameras only show things inside the five prison...things. You'd have to tell him to go stand in your bedroom.

Let's put the hacking to use, it's the only thing he can help with.
>>
>>33878735
Well, the basement has the bead limit, which the control room doesn't. It also has our subjective value that we can change.
>>
>>33878776
So he's gonna just go stand around in our room where the cameras can see him because we tell him to? Later, maybe.
>>
>>33878705
You'll need to find a way to convince him to stand in your cell and wait for you first.

>>33878682

"S-so, I haven't found the way out yet but there's this storage closet...?"

He nods, picking up his laptop.
"Really, I'm just happy to get out of this dumb cell."

You lead him to the Lab which is still in a state of disarray. The Jukebox, broken television, dissected Values Adjuster and wild crystal growth are the same as ever.

The Cellmate peers at the crystal before pulling some sort of pendant from his pocket. It's a tiny crystal shard on a string. He touches it to the growth and it lights up, both objects somewhat repelled by each other.
"Hey, this stuff looks like you. The glowing parts I mean. Actually..."
He looks at you a little harder.
"Are you a girl now?"

You silently point out the keycard scanner, refusing to look at him. He sets his laptop down next to it, connects it via a cord and starts doing ...something. It involves a lot of typing.

"This could take a few minutes. Is that alright?"

"Y-yes, that's fine."
You go stand by the open door leading back to the Entrance Hall as you wait. It's a good thing you do so too or you might not have heard the INTERIOR door slide open.

Hiss, "we got trouble!" at Cellmate.
>>
>>33878958

>>
"We g-got trouble!"

You rush forward, your gun aimed head-on at the opening door as...the Housemate steps through. Not an Overseer. Your wood-and-plastic mannequin.

He isn't moving in the jerky stop-motion manner that he did back in the incidents but he is moving all the same. He stands in the doorway, faceless visage focussed on you.

"What's the problem?"

"I...I don't know."
>>
>>33879144
God dammit. We all knew this was coming.

...At least his Sin Value is 0. He's constrained in what he can do by his conscience and social mores.

"H-Hey... what's your Name Value? What are you doing here?"
>>
>>33879144

>>
>>33879144
Ask him why he's here.
>>
>>33879302
>Not even the number 7 this time?

No numbers, completely bare. Which makes sense, you guess. He had the 7 during the ...incidents, in which he also moved like a badly animated puppet.
He isn't moving like that all now, he's moving naturally. This isn't the same as last time.

>>33879165
>>33879350

"H-Hey... what's your Name Value? What are you doing here? Why are you here?"

He doesn't answer but he does step from the doorway and into the Entrance Hall proper. His nubby hands remain at his sides and he makes no threatening gestures.

At that moment, two things happen at the same time. Your laptop starts binging like crazy, your Chatterspeak lighting up. Does something want to speak to you? But there's nobody ever online but the Cellmate/Speaktron and he's right here!

You don't really have time to put that much thought into it as the second thing that happens is the door behind the Housemate slamming shut and then opening to reveal the Control Room. The moustachioed Overseer from before with the portable Doorwheel is standing in the doorway, disconnecting his Doorwheel from the door as he does so.
The Housemate starts and scrambles away.
>>
>>33879480
Engage him in a round of fisticuffs. Then check your laptop.
>>
>>33879480
Not sweet, innocent Housemate!

>>33879507
No, don't pick a side yet. Let them fight each other and check the laptop.
>>
>>33879507
Reverse that order. See what he said online, and then we find out if we should fight him, or if we should fight the Overseer.

...Who doesn't know we escaped probably? We should hide around the corner while checking laptop.
>>
>>33879519
>>33879507

You don't know if you want to engage or not! Instead you dither as the Housemate flees the Overseer, heading towards you. Instead of attacking either of you, the Overseer sets his Doorwheel back into the door and opens it once again, revealing what appears to be your Basement. Another Overseer is standing there and judging by his hat he was one of the ones who robbed you of your Double Hatstack.

You look over to your laptop.

-hey-
-yo-
-what's going on-
-haven't heard from you for a while-
-anything wrong-
-we need to escape already-

Who is this? They write like...

"Whatever's going on over there, keep it away! I'm nearly finished."
The Cellmate is still hunched over the Storage door. It doesn't look like he's using Chatterspeak right now.

Type back.

What? Where are you?

...Another weird question: When was the last time you saw me?
>>
>>33879672
Ask him where he is.
>>
>>33879672
Ask the overseers what's going on.

Interrupt the redhead.

Stop his hacking.

"You have high Strength Value! Help me punch these Overseers! Ignore the dummy guy, he's sorta a friend."

A good place to leave off then? We got seven good hours out of this thread which was fantastic. Thank you everyone for participating again, I hope you all had as much as fun as I did!

Next thread will start around the usual time tomorrow, the Twitter will put up a warning an hour beforehand as usual. There's a very good chance that tomorrow will be the last thread in fact.
