You’re sitting by the side of the road, or rather the pair of tire marks in the grass, enjoying the first glimmerings of sunrise. Then you hear the approaching sound of an engine. You turn to look, and a moment later a jeep pops into view far below. You turn your attention back to the splendid scene that stretches out before you.

The only thing that spoils how you feel is being damn cold. You’ve bunched yourself up and have zipped your jacket over your legs and abandoned the sleeves, but you’re not appropriately dressed for prolonged morning adventures.

The jeep rolls up behind you, and crunches to a stop, the engine idling. A moment later the engine switches off, and you hear somebody walk up and sit beside you. You look over and find Rowan bundled up in a big coat. She offers you a big, ugly sweater and a pair of sandals, which you accept without question. You do some clothes juggling, and end up pulling it on beneath your jacket.

She doesn’t say anything, and neither does Isaac or Harvey when they come over and stands beside her. You all just enjoy the sunrise for a little bit.

Then the car horn starts beeping at you. “Not that it’s not a swell view,” says Sattler, “but I’m here to make sure we have a dead demon, not a maybe alive demon that can still wriggle away.”

You look back at her, and find the woman in full angel form.
>>
>>33826102

One set of arms is folded impatiently, while she’s got one hand on the wheel and another hanging lazily out the side of the vehicle. She looks no worse than usual, and is in the same clothes you saw her in last night.

“Of course,” says Isaac.

Everybody gets up and piles back into the jeep.

“Which way are we going?” Harvey asks, looking over at you. He’s in a pair of flip flops, shorts, and a winter parka. He has an M-16 propped up at his feet, out of view.

You point out the direction. “Just down the hill. You know, the part that’s all smoking and crap.”

Rowan peers over at the destruction. “Must’ve been some fight,” she says, surveying the damage.

“Well, fire and all that,” you say.

“Shame I missed it,” says Sattler. She grins fiercely, and pulls out her fancy gun from beside the driver’s seat and holding it at the ready against her shoulder, even as she drives the vehicle on. Isaac, meanwhile, looks more relaxed than Satt does, and sits with his crossbow settled on his lap.

You drive down the hill, the jeep having no trouble with the relatively smooth terrain, and park outside the scorched earth you laid down.

Satt hops out, and shakes loose a pair of machetes from sheathes at her hips. Both blades have softly glowing glyphs cut in along their lengths that resemble the marks on her body. “Where’s our corpse?” she asks, weapon and blades hanging low. She surveys the charred, snake-strewn landscape.

“Over there,” you say, sending her in the right direction.

Satt heads off with a purpose, her steps light and cautious. Isaac and Harvey follow some distance behind. You watch them and the landwell, invisible to them, as it sits like a bright, fiery star above the terrain. You once again get that weird feeling that there’s some power in you that doesn’t really belong in you at all, though it has nothing to do with the tiger you picked up from it.

Ro stands beside you, and adjusts the straps on her bastard sword’s sheath so it rests more comfortably against her back. “Why’d you take off?” she asks, turning to you. Her expression is curious. “And I guess why’d you run all the way out here? You had to go a long, long ways.”

It’s a good question.

“Yeah,” you say, rubbing your arm, “I got antsy. Don’t you get antsy, sometimes?”

“Not enough to run around without my shoes in the middle of the night,” Rowan says, her tone incredulous.

“Shush about the shoes thing,” you hiss at her. “And hey, what if I just lost my shoes?”

“Well, tell Sattler that, but none of your shoes were missing from the shoe pile in your room,” says Ro.

You scowl at her. “Don’t diss the shoe pile.”

“Whatever you do in your room is your business,” she says. “But seriously, what got you so antsy you just bailed without telling anyone anything? Dad feels like he has to just let you do your thing, and I guess that’s fine for the most part, but running away and stuff – it’s really hard on him, you know? And it’s hard for me too,” says Ro, giving you a meaningful look. “I mean, you’re supposed to be my sister, and sometimes I don’t know if I’ll just wake up one day and you’ll be gone.”

You rub the back of your neck. The thing about having family (kind of) is that they can guilt trip you way better than if they were just people you stayed with. “Well, it’s true about being antsy,” you say. “But… I don’t know. I felt trapped and weird. I was having these like… flashbacks. Of stuff.” You feel uncertain of yourself. “I panicked. I mean. I didn’t want it to be a thing, you know? Not with Sattler demon slayer downstairs. And it was like three AM. I figured I’d get some air and you know, pop back in with nobody being the wiser.”
>>

So 32 is the right PP number right? 27+5=32?
>>
>>33827509

You watch as Sattler finds Philostrathus and starts poking at the body. Isaac and Harvey aren't too far behind her. You keep your attention glued to them so you don't have to look in Ro's direction.

She's quiet while you explain, and then sighs once you’ve finished. “I don’t know," she says. "I guess I just wish that you’d come to us first. That’s, you know, what families are for,” Rowan tells you. “You don’t have to solve all your problems by yourself anymore.”

You don’t say anything, and your expression remains flat. Strangely, the feeling of the part of you that feels like it should be elsewhere intensifies, perhaps due to Rowan’s proximity. Maybe somebody else is supposed to have it.

The power burns within you at the idea. Mysteriously, you get the impression that it’s right. You’re supposed to give it to somebody else to hold for you.

>I don’t know. I mean, I am a problem solving pro. Don’t mess with a good thing, right?

I'm pretty sure we aren't giving any of that up by doing this. Part of our power feels like it's supposed to be in someone else, I'm guessing it empowers them somehow and ties them to the landwell, and by extension us.

>>33827785
When we picked up the landwell, it specifically said it felt like we couldnt absorb all the power, and it was floating around outside us.
Pretty sure we aren't getting rid of the landwell, just handing out excess power.
>>
>>33828026
The bit floating around outside us was the shadow self.

>It’s not easy to go from not relying on anybody ever to relying on somebody sometimes. I got used to it.

>>
>>33828032
How do you figure? Shadow us is on the ground.
It is literally our shadow. It isn't excess power, it's an extension of growing as a verwalken apparently.
>>
>>33828106
The part you were referring to was
>You feel more powerful, though not quite in the way you were expecting – some of it seems like it should be outside of you, even though it’s not. Either way, confidence suffuses your being, and you know that you’ve got this.
more specifically,
>some of it seems like it should be outside of you, even though it’s not
That is referring to the shadow. It's should be outside of us, because it's a shadow, but it's not because it's a part of us like a limb is.
>>
>>33828150

Yeah, the power comment is referring specifically to landwell magic power stuff. The shadow was described in a different line.
>>
>>33828150
Or yknow, its a piece of power meant to be given, which was literally spelled out for us in the post.
And not the shadow powers at all.
>>
>>33828210
Thanks for clarifying
>>
>>33828150
You're wrong on this. That part that's supposed to be outside of us is what we're thinking of giving to Rowan, I'm guessing it'll empower her, bind her to the Landwell and us.

Our shadow isn't mentioned at all in reference to this. Then in the next update, which was the opening of the next thread it says

>Meanwhile, your shadow twitches about you, feeling somehow more animate than it did before. It’s almost like it’s become an extension of your very being. You can feel the way it lies across the scrubby grass beneath the claws of your feet, and it moves with your very breath.

The power meant to be outside of us doesn't have to do with our shadows.

“I suck at families,” you say, feeling pretty lame. “I mean. All that stuff with me and foster homes. It wasn’t just my demon stuff that got me kicked out,” you tell her. “It’s not easy to never rely on anybody ever. But you know, I got used to it. I learned to like it and roll with it. But you guys… I like you guys. A whole lot. Like, more than anybody. But I can’t – it’s not a switch. I don’t just… I can’t just dump myself on people,” you say. “I don’t know if I can do it anymore.”

Rowan chuckles at you, and looks up a the brightening sky. “You’re way too hardcore sometimes, Sierra,” she says. “Chill out.”

You take a deep breath. That’s you. You’re chill. (-3 Stress: 22/100) “This whole thing is kind of dumb,” you say. “I guess next time I’ll wake you up before I go leaping out of windows.”

“You do that,” Rowan tells you, chuckling.

You both laugh a little at the situation. Still, you have something serious that’s nagging for attention. “So uh. There’s this thing with the landwell,” you say, furrowing your brow and glancing over at Ro. “I think I’m supposed to give it to somebody? I thought maybe I’d let you have it, because I guess you deserve it or something.”

“What do you mean by a thing?” Ro asks, curious.

>Next time I’ll wake you up, I guess.

>So uh. There’s this thing with the landwell. I think I can give it to someone? What do you think?

Mention the feeling that it's meant to be "outside us", and since she got here the feeling's gotten stronger, like it's meant to be given to someone. We shouldn't go forcing stuff on our... sister, now, I guess. Or forcing it on other people either. But forcing it on friends or family would probably be worse.
>>
>>33828506

You gesture vaguely in explanation.

“Right,” she says, nodding to herself. “Well. I don’t know. I suppose since you’re the landmaster, you can do whatever you want with whatever nebulous magic stuff you have. Can you give it to anybody you want?”

You think about it. “I think so,” you say, considering the trapped force inside your ribcage. “Whatever it is.”

“Maybe you should think it over,” she suggests. “Do you think it’s like… important? What does it do?”

“I dunno,” you say, shrugging.

“Huh,” says Rowan, puzzling over the offer. “You could talk to Borislav, maybe?”

>Eh. Probably should. I don’t have a good track record with magical mysteries.

I dunno, what little we do know about what happened to our family involved a shadowy figure with enormous shears and gave us a phobia of scissors. Unless that's not what you were getting at, I suppose. I do wonder how involved mom was with stuff like slavery and so forth, though by all accounts she mellowed massively with dad. “Given me and my track record, that’s probably sound advice,” you say. You eye Satt and the others, who are still mulling over Philo’s dead body. “Hey buttercup! She dead or not?” you shout over to them.

Satt glances over at you, smiles, and gives you the bird.

Harvey laughs, and Isaac shakes his head. Your comment probably had good dramatic timing for whatever conversation they were having.

The trio start coming back over.

“Yeah, I don’t know really,” you say, frowning to yourself. “It just felt right to give it to you. Maybe it’s cause I know you.”

“That’s funky,” Ro says.

“She’s dead, princess,” Satt yells at you as she approaches. She carries something under her arm that you can’t quite make out. “Nice job. Total immolation. But it never hurts to be sure.” The smiles and tosses whatever she’s carrying at you.

It lands and rolls to a stop at your feet. Not much clings to the charred bone except patches of blackened sinew. You suppress the urge to jump back when you realize what it is. It’s Philostrathus’s head. (+5 Stress: 27/100)

You glare up at Satt. “What’s the deal with this crap?”

Satt winks at you. “You never know with Tatarans,” she tells you. “Not unless you’ve got her head in a box. You’d never really know if she hadn’t screwed it back on and started walking around again. Thought you’d want to have it. Gave you the most grief, from what I heard.”

Isaac isn’t pleased with the theatrics. “Please, Bronwyn,” he warns, giving her an even look.
>>
>>33830219

Sattler laughs, though it's kind of a mean laugh. She’s a lot more animated out here than she was when you first saw her yesterday. “Come on, Izzy,” she says, giving a lazy, lopsided smile. “I’m just joshing with her. Sierra’ll be fine – she cooked her up, right? And I’m sure Rowan’s severed a few heads in her time.”

You look over to Rowan, who smiles sheepishly at you and and shrugs.

“What about me?” asks Harvey, an innocent, frightened look on his face.

“You have the eyes of a killer, kiddo,” Satt says, giving him a solid pat on the back.

Harvey and Rowan exchange a whimsical look, and Harvey snickers to himself.

“Let’s go home,” says Isaac, walking by all of you and toward the car. “What’s done is done.” Everyone goes to follow, though Sierra glances over at you, a little questioningly. She probably wants you to mention the landwell thing.

The detached portion of power burning inside you is feeling wobbly. It’s not exactly distracting, but it’s noticeable that it’s kind of pulling in several directions at the same time. Maybe it’s because there’s like, four people here instead of one?

“Actually,” you say, turning from Philo’s severed head to face Isaac. “It’s kind of not done.”

Everyone stops and looks over at you.

“Aren’t you going to take the head thing?” Satt asks, amusement radiating from her.

“Uh. Do I have to?” you ask, unsure.

“No. She was joking,” says Ro. “It was a stupid joke.”

“Leave the head where it is,” Isaac states.

You’re glad for that. You shake your head and the thought out of your mind. “So, the thing is, I have this kind of power deal that’s inside me, but it’s not really a part of me. It’s supposed to go to somebody else, I think,” you explain. You tell them pretty much everything you told Rowan.

Isaac thinks it over.

But Harvey talks first. “Sounds cool. Try it on me,” he offers, presenting himself. “Maybe you can share your pyromancy with people.” He smirks at that, probably because if you could really share your powers with people, fires tuff would be the thing furthest from the top of the list.

“I don’t know if it’s something I should just sling around,” you say.

“You’re right. If you can give a piece of your landmastery to someone, you should find out what that means first,” says Isaac.

Satt huffs, sounding incredibly bored with the conversation. “If you’re afraid of consequences, hit me up with it,” she says. “I’ll take a chance.”

“Well, immortal people seem to have a lot to risk,” you say skeptically.
>>
>>33831440

Satt gives you an iron stare, and a weird smile quirks up at the corner of her mouth. “What’s life without a little danger here and there? Hit me. I’ll take it.”

That seems like an incredibly bad idea. Isaac agrees with you. “Don’t,” he tells you.

“Family man Isaac,” Satt says, in an exasperated tone. She turns and walks off toward the jeep. “Never get married, kiddles, you’ll wind up like your dad.”

“Thanks for the heads up,” Harvey says, a light smile on his face.

Isaac squints at something faraway and clenches his jaw, but says nothing.

“Eh,” you say, noncommittally. “If I’d give it to anybody right now, I think it’d be Rowan.” You turn your attention to her, finding her kind of surprised at the comment. “I think I can take it back if you don’t want it or if it doesn’t work out though,” you quickly add. “Either way I think it’s something I owe you, you know, for like, being cool and stuff.”

“Oh. Uh. You don’t owe me anything,” she says, an embarrassed expression on her face.

Isaac adjusts the carrying position of his crossbow, and looks carefully at you. “Is that what you want, or is that what the power inside you is prompting you to do?” he asks.

>It’s what I want, and it’s my power, so why not? Ro, do you want it? Whatever it is, I guess?

If we go to Borya he'll almost certainly end up telling us to give it to someone, and Rowan seems like a good choice. There's no point in putting it off.

It's kind of both.

We want to give it to Ro for aforementioned reasons, but the power itself is pushing to be given to someone and with more people it's getting sort of wobbly. The idea that it can be taken back is something the power is sort of saying?

>I don’t know. Nah, you’re right. I’ll talk to Borya about it. Don’t want to walk into anything blind.

I don't think it will make her a landmaster. Might make her a druid or make her able to see landwells on top of a generic demonbane-flavored boost, but I don't think she'll become a landmaster.
>>
>>33831981
Maybe she will become waifu.
>>
>>33831713
I can't remember, can we stack Hellbolt with Hellfire?
>>
We're almost certainly going to end up giving it to Rowan. She's the obvious candidate. It's not a trap option, it's not going to fuck with our possession of the landwell, Rowan might end up being able to see Landwells and will probably get a pile of abilities, either related to Demonbane stuff or stuff we can do, and she'll probably be our lieutenant not owning the landwell itself. It won't lower our power, this portion is meant to be outside, it's annoying us when it's not inside.

If we decide to bother Borya he'll likely tell us to trust our feelings, clear a blast zone around us, and give it a shot.

We may as well get it done now instead of putting it off.
>>
>>33832013
I'm honestly kinda worried that we're gonna be riding back in the car and suddenly the extra power is gonna be all "Welp I guess she's not giving me away" and then shoot up our ass and force Sierra to display demonic traits in front of Satt.

Curious though. Doesn't Satt already know we're hellborn? Or did Issac leave that one last detail out? Maybe I missed something, I'm not sure.
>>
>>33832067
Hence wanting to ring Borya and dole that thing out now.

>>33831981
The power itself is giving us the vibe that we can take it back, though obviously we might want to make sure there aren't any adverse effects to doing so. There's a risk that taking it back could make her ill, dent her overall power or worse, not just remove whatever boost we give her. It seems unlikely, and as has been mentioned by Borya the rule of thumb is trust what the powers say to do and it'll work out, but still.
>>
>>33832206
>Doesn't Satt already know we're hellborn?

“Good question,” you say. “Let’s talk to the bear about it.” You ring up Borislav. Hopefully he’s in cellphone range, wherever he is.

“Slishu tebya,” says Borya. “What is up?”

You explain the situation to him, in detail. Well, okay, maybe you have Isaac explain some of the situation to him, in detail. But he’s translating for you, so it counts.

Isaac gets a pained look on his face, like he’s experiencing severe brain freeze, and hands your phone back to you.

“Go for it, wild child!” says Borislav, even before you’ve got the phone in your hands. He sounds excited. “Pognyali! Ei srazu zhe perezvoni, posle tovo kak fsyio uyasnilis. Ochen mne hochestsya uznat shto srovan proizhodit! Okay?"

Borislav is the voice of caution.

“Uh,” you say, not understanding anything he just said, “sure.”

Isaac waves for you to give him the phone back, and you oblige him. “Well, I got the green light,” you say to Rowan, smiling stupidly. “Huh? Get it? Green? Because he’s a park ranger. It’s like, nature. So. Green light. It’s a pun.”

Harvey gives you an even, faintly humored look, and Rowan groans.

“Sorry,” you apologize. “So uh. You know. If you want it, you can have it,” you tell her. “Whatever it is, I guess.”

"What are you people doing?" yells Satt, over from the jeep. "I got the keys. I could ditch all of you if I wanted, just saying."

Rowan turns the issue over in her mind a couple times. “If it’s what you want,” she says, guardedly.

Seraph wings are a step above halo. Grandpa Hallow had Halo+wings, Isaac only has a halo, Rowan doesn't seem to have either.

You think abuot it, and nod. “Yeah, it is,” you say. You take a step back from Rowan, and straighten your ugly sweater. “Just so you know, I don’t know what I’m doing,” you say.

Harvey looks from Rowan to you, and then walks about ten yards off before turning around to watch. He then reconsiders, and takes another couple paces backward.

Isaac joins him, still in a heated conversation with Borislav over your phone, all in Russian.

“Wait. Is this going to hurt?” Rowan asks, bracing herself against the unknown.

“Probably not,” you lie. All your landmaster stuff hurts. “Actually, yeah. It probably will hurt. Like heartburn. Really, really bad heartburn.”

Rowan winces, and balls her hands into fists. “All right. Do it.”

“Might want to take off your coat first,” you say. No reason not to be cautious.

Ro does as you instruct, and then resumes her braced position, except this time she shivers at the cold.

You walk up to Rowan and put a hand on her shoulder, and close your eyes. You try to focus on the little thing of foreign energy inside you. Eventually you get it in your focus, and feel it pulling toward her. You prod it along, until it starts to reach the edge of your being.

And then, suddenly, it zaps out of you and arcs over to Rowan.

There’s a resounding crack of thunder, and you’re knocked backward like you’ve just been tackled by a linebacker.

When you come to your senses, you sit up out of the grass and look over at Ro.
>>
>>33835716
She’s fallen to her knees, and her expression is one of utter shock. A thin, metal band of gold sits fixed in the air above her snowy, silvery hair – the blonde dye’s been burned out of it - and she’s got a pair of huge, incredibly feathery, silver wings mottled with darker spots.

She clutches the front of her nightshirt to body and stares at the ground, eyes wide with shock. The whole having wings thing tore out the back of her shirt. Her voice sounds shaky when she speaks. “Crap,” she says, noting the ruination of the piece of clothing.

“Good thing I made you take your coat off,” you say, kind of in shock yourself.

Isaac immediately runs to Rowan. “Good Lord,” he says. “You’re… you have wings! Are you okay?”

Ro waves him away. “Just fine, just not the shirt, back off!”

Isaac stumbles backward, utterly amazed.

You go over to Rowan yourself and pick up her coat, which she left on the ground. You fork it over to her, and she folds up her wings enough so as to manage getting the coat on over top them. They still show out the bottom, though, and they form a notable hump on her back. She cranes her neck to look over her shoulder at her wings, and kind of at her shirt. “I liked this shirt,” she says, sadly.

WINGS! SHE GOT WINGS!

inb4 Sierra makes some corny "call me 'Red Bull' joke"
>>
>>33835728
“Man,” Harvey calls out. “I call dibs on the next one.”

Satt lets out a high whistle from where she’s laid out in the jeep. “She looks more Seraph than you now, Isaac,” she shouts, chuckling. “Kind of not full Seraph though, you know, since I’m counting just the two wings – but as they say, in the world of the flightless, the woman with two wings is queen.”

Ro reaches up and touches her halo. Then she grabs it and gives it a tug. Instead of it moving, though, her whole head moves with it, like it’s attached to her skull and not flowing in the air. “That’s weird,” she says, a weirded out at her present situation.

It is pretty weird. But it’s something you’ve had experience with. You let her be confounded for a little bit.

After glancing backward at the feathery things sticking out her back, Ro turns back to you. “Sierra, you gave me wings,” she says, sounding confused.

>I was kind of worried you'd sprout horns or something for a second, there.

“So,” you say, unsure. “Wings. You like wings, right?” You like wings. Rowan looks really Rowan-ish, right now. Adding all the angel jazz seems to just fit the bill, more or less.

“I like wings,” says Ro, suddenly beaming at you. “This…” she tries to put something together to say to you. “This means a lot to me. Thanks, Sierra.” She has to stop talking for a second, and her eyes shine with tears. “You’re a real special person, you know that?”

“Nah,” you demur. “I just got a bunch of freaky powers.”

Rowan smile becomes a little sad. “I’ve never wanted to hug somebody so badly that doesn’t like hugs,” she says, more of just stating the thought than talking to you.

You know she really means it. You can feel the warmth radiating from her, and a lot of it is directed to you, specifically. You can feel it, like a little sun, cozying up to your heart. It’s probably the lamest, most stupid image you’ve ever imagined.

But it doesn’t make it untrue.

“Well,” you say, looking at her flatly. Maybe her giving you a hug is one thing, but maybe you giving her a hug is another thing. And you find you really want to try, at least, right now.

You set your shoulders and screw up your face, as if preparing to be slapped in the face, and take a rigid step forward, and put your arms around Rowan, or at least as far as you can with her wing things, and move yourself toward her. She doesn’t move much, which makes things easier.
>>
>>33837278
You close your eyes and put your chin on her shoulder, and lightly pull her to you. It’s no bear hug. You barely put any pressure on her at all. Instead, you concentrate on that warm feeling radiating from Ro, and try to put out of mind the squirming, angry feelings that try to burn into your skin. You want to say something meaningful like, thanks for trusting me or like, I’m glad you’re my sister or, you know, something, at least. In the end your voice catches in your throat and you can’t say anything.

You kind of like having somebody that you can put your arms around and just like, share stuff and feelings and junk without talking. You wish your whole touching thing didn’t include people like Rowan. Maybe that doesn’t mean much, though. There’s not very many people like Ro. Just… somebody that accepts you. (+3 Sanity: 82/100)

You let go of her and step away before you start feeling anything too bad from prolonged contact.

An awkward moment of silence passes.

“So the halo thing,” you say, trying to fill the silence. “What’s the deal with that?”

Ro glances upward, though she can’t see her halo at all. “It helps protect you from magic,” she says. “It’s supposed to do other things too, but that’s the big one.”

Sattler honks the jeep’s horn again.

Ro smiles, and so do you. Then you both turn to head off toward the jeep, with Isaac and Harvey in tow. “Your hair looks better without dye,” you say out of the blue, taking a second to appreciate Rowan’s long, silvery hair. “Just saying.” Her hair has a kind of liquid motion in the wind and has a neat way of catching light when it’s her natural color.

She snorts. “Maybe I’ll leave it like this for a couple days,” she says, “you know, before I dye it back. See what people think, I guess.”

“Yeah, I think that would be kind of fun,” you agree. “You’ll probably have to do something about the wings and your halo, though.”

Ro’s expression is wry. “I didn’t think that would be something I’d ever have to deal with,” she says. “I guess it’s something you have to do every day, though.”

“Guess you get to join the glamor club,” you say flatly, hoping to bait out an eye roll from Ro with the pun.

It works.

I hope not. I do think the black spots on her wings are because of a bit of personal attribute transfer from Sierra to Rowan - and not caused by the landwell.

I was entertaining an idea where we'd get a black halo.

Reeber. No seriously. He's a Royal Hellhound, with one of these Landwell upgrades he'd be a bit like a quadrupedal Ranthix, with less fire.
>>
>>33838120
I'd say either Ranthix or Isaac or maybe just do Ro again because I'm honestly curious as to what would happen. Just more wings until she looks like pureblooded angel?

Moriah's cool and all, but she's not exactly in a position to need that extra oomph at all.
>>
>>33838235
I agree here.

Moriah's cool and all but she's already full demon and as much as I like her, I don't trust her as much as I trust Sister Rowan. Also Moriah isn't much for combat so I'd not burden her like that and waste a power charge like that.

Giving Isaac more power would be a great idea, I think. He's strong already AND he's experienced to boot. He's also adamant on keeping Sierra safe.

Ranthix is a cool guy but I don't know. I like him but I don't know...
>>
>>33838120
Maybe Cass?
>>
>>33838301
She's (as far as we know) a regular human. What does a landwell do to normal humans beyond making them immortal?
>>
>>33838320
I don't think it's the landwell that causes the immortality, I think that's the landmaster physiology the same way pure angels are immortal.
>>
>>33838320
That's why we should give it to cass to find out
>>
>>33838320
we dont know if this is literally giving landowner status to someone
>>
>>33838336
Well, Ro didn't say shit about suddenly seeing the massive strobing red landwell light, so I'm guessing she can't see it now, so she's probably not a landmaster.
>>
>>33838352
therefore we have no reason to think that this powerup we're giving around would act the same way as someone being a landmaster

therefore we have no reason to think it would make someone immortal
>>
>>33838370
I'm not the guy that said it would make normal humans immortal. I think he's wrong about that.

It probably extends lifespan, but doesn't make em immortal.
>>
>>33838333
Experimenting on Cass? Spooky. What if (and when) she sprouts black horns similar to ours because of power transfer? Kinda cool but I don't think anyone in the household would appreciate it.

>>33838336
That's true. Maybe it's more akin to allowing Rowan to tap into the well rather than rule over it. Or maybe the power we gave her was just a side effect of the well rather than the well itself.
>>
>>33838388
>It probably extends lifespan
no reason to think that either
>>
I don't think Ro is even tapping into the landwell directly at all.

Something like

>>
>>33838443

>>
>>33838406
Actually, you're right.

I was about to say that more supernatural power means longer lifespan, but really the only human, partial or otherwise, with a confirmed longer than normal lifespan is Isaac, and that could be the angel blood specifically and not supernatural stuff in general.

We don't really know him as well as our hetero life mate Rowan. He will likely be the next to get a hot load of our land master swag straight to the face, but it is fun considering the other options. I would personally love for our hellhound to get cute little angel wings, even if I am going to vote for our kinda little bro to be next.
>>
>>33838927
>I would personally love for our hellhound to get cute little angel wings
He won't, though. We didn't zap Ro with angel power, we zapped her with raw land magic power which latched onto her angelness and boosted it.

Landwells are like stem cells. They mimic whatever you put them in. Zap a hellhound, get bigger meaner hellhound. Zap Harvey, get more angely Harvey. Zap Borya, get a more beary Borya.

Hey Harvey called the next one.

I wonder what effect they'd have on Cassandra. She's human, but I think she deserves it, considering that she probably is the weakest person we know, probably barring the Crowthers.
>>
How about setting Harvey and Moriah up for a date? (other suggestions to get Harvey more involved in story?)
>>

Could be interesting, and highly dangerous

sounds like a bad idea to me

the date thing i mean, getting harvey involved is fine
>>
How old's Harv again?
>>
>>33840143
Just setting them up in romantic circumstances. No need for them to actually date.
Maybe we could convince Wolfgang, and Ro to help troll them?

Idk just tossing out ideas. We should do some more comedic piece after the fighting imo.

And this this why the English language needs to flesh out and actually use variations of love. I'm a fan of the greek. Eros, agape, and philos. We need some hip new way to bring these back into style.
>>
>>33840530
It wasn't needed in that context.
>>
>>33840530
i dont think any of those was right for the context

"harvey gets no love" just means he gets no attention
>>
>>33841015
Yes, that's because it's a stupid use for the word love. That also needs to be eradicated and replaced with something appropriate.

Or she's just being facetious. Sierra did call her buttercup, after all.
