|@() /\¬€ [>/\^€,

Jake went first, face melted by the sludge. Kyle is gone, too. Something in the air when his mask cracked. Rob managed to hold the longest, before he was torn to shreds and devoured before your eyes. How did they ever get you into this mess? This sure as Hell wasn't what you agreed to when you offered to help the three agents. You don't even have training like they did. How in God's name were you supposed to complete this mission alone? That in mind, your current situation is hardly unexpected. But still, you never thought it would end like this.

The tentacles now pin you to the ground, one wrapped about each limb spreading you like a helpless virgin sacrifice. Your captor's toothy maw lingers above you, the moisture in its breath passing over you in a hot stench. A long glob of saliva breaks free and drips across your cheek. It leans in closer, its mouth mere inches from your face. It makes a noise, a deep growl, more reptilian than mammal despite its mostly-human silhouette.
You wonder why it hasn't already killed you. Maybe it's trying to communicate with you. You dismiss the thought.
It's just savoring the moment before it devours you too, no doubt. But you're not going without a fight.

It leans in a little closer.

[ ]Use your teeth, go for its neck.

>[X]Use your teeth, go for its neck.

At the moment it gets closest, you crane your up and sink your teeth into its throat. The sensation of a torrent of warm blood flowing into your mouth makes you want to retch on the spot, but your push your natural desire down and yank side to side, biting as hard as your jaw can manage. The abomination squeals in terror and pain until at last you jerk hard enough to tear its flesh clean from its neck. It falls back and away from you, crashing into the wall and sinking to the rusted metal floor, choking and gargling. You spit as much of its blueish blood out of your mouth as you can manage, its tang still fresh on your tongue.

Immediate threat out of the way, you look to the leathery brown tentacles tight around your wrists and ankles.
No matter how much you struggle, you can't get any leeway with them. A thought crosses your mind, something Kyle said last week. Worth a try.
You lift your left arm up as far as you can above the edge of the altar you're held on, and smash down, wrist and tentacle together cracking onto the corner of the table. Your wrist shatters and the tentacle loosens momentarily. That's all the gap you need, pulling hard and dragging your limp sack of finger bones out of its clutches. With that free, you're able to roll over and use your teeth to attack the other tentacle to free your right arm.
Freeing your legs is child's play from there.

Heaving yourself down onto the rusty grated floor, you can hear the sounds of someone or something rushing towards your cell. The door is ajar. You're really not in much shape to fight.

[ ]Hide and ambush them when they enter.
[ ]Flee the room, try to escape before more arrive.

Get out of here, Dave.
>>
>>33742609
>[X]Flee the room, try to escape before more arrive.

You don't stick around to find out who's coming. The steps clanging against the metal are just a few meters away. You throw the door open and see another of the foul creatures. This one's shorter, much shorter, but its claws are sharper. It freezes when it sees you burst from your cell, opening its mouth wide. You don't give it a chance to react further, turning away from it and leaping towards the only other way out, a short stairwell leading upwards to a thick bulkhead door. Behind it is a small room with another door. Beyond that, you can see your freedom.

Throwing yourself against the next bulkhead door, you heave the metal in, smashing a third abomination in the face as you pass. It flails as it falls, barely managing to hang onto the thin metal railing between it and the edge of nothingness. One of its inhuman appendages wraps around your ankle, its vice-like grip almost tipping you over the railing and into the abyss below.

Already behind you can hear the others rushing up to surround you. Their keening screeches almost sound like language to you, their thoughts pressing into your mind. Like they're calling to you. Like they know your name. You need to get free of this thing!

[ ]Smash its face to a pulp.
[ ]Struggle to pull yourself free.

>>
>>33742879
>[X]Smash it enough to struggle free.

You kick down hard onto its face, feeling its face crack under the impact. That won't be enough to put it down, but you feel its grip loosen just a little. With a tug, you pull your leg free of its grasp just in time for the smaller demon to explode out of the doorway behind you. The look on its face... if it were human, you'd almost describe it as desperate. It glances down at the blood-slicked thing you left on the floor, then back to you just as you begin to sprint for the far end of the walkway, where the dark abyss is only a few yards wide and the solid ground on the other side is definitely within jumping distance.

You kick off the decking, one foot placed squarely on the railing to throw yourself across the chasm.

You push your weight down on the railing, and it gives out under you. But you're too far over, too committed to the jump. You can't stop, but you're not going to make it! There's nothing you can do but brace yourself for the end as you plummet into the unending black.

You just wish you'd told your daughter where you were going before you left.

You hit the bottom six feet down, landing face-first in the black, wet mud. Coughing the mud in your mouth, you claw your way as fast as you can up and out of the muck, back onto your feet.

Behind you, from the derelict, you can hear the sounds of more foes scrambling to recapture you. The slope ahead is steep, wet and unstable. In the pitch-black night, you can barely see the ground, let alone make out any solid footholds.

From above, an unearthly blue beam of light flickers into existence, illuminating you clearly.

>[X]Run. Just run. Hope you're faster than them.

There's no time. You throw yourself at the slope, clawing your way up the muddy ground. You're slow, slower than you want to be. They can definitely see you. They're after you, but you're faster. You pull yourself to the top of the slope and start running. The ground quickly hardens to solid rock and you can run properly. The clear area only stretches for a short distance to a big set of metal blocks. You can make it. You can definitely make it. You're going to get out of here. You can finish the job and make it home.
And no-one will ever know how you saved the world.

Something hits you in the small of your back. You lose your balance, tipping over as two rubbery tubes wrap themselves around your waist. You hit the floor hard, face scraping the concrete. You kick at the weight on your back, feeling your boot connect with bone. The thing lets go, you flick around onto your feet again and face off against it.

It's the little one again.
The thing is barely half your height, a thin and wiry frame. You know there's power in those muscles, though. It will kill you without hesitation if you let it. Its claws are still sheathed though, only its slippery grey limbs reaching out for you.

It opens its mouth. A mewling sound. It makes you feel nauseous just listening to it.
Why isn't it attacking you?

"What... do you want with me?" You voice the question at the creature. It warbles in response. Then takes a step towards you. You take a step back. In the corner of your eye, you can see two more slightly larger monsters slipping around either side of you. The little one takes another step forward.
You take a step back.

You... you need to get out, before they surround you again!

"Dave!"

You reel at the shock, the monster speaking your name. It's, no. You refuse. You imagined it. It can't, "Dave please!"
NO!

It takes another step towards you. You swing your arm wildly to keep it away. The two on either side of you suddenly rush in to close you down.

I just consulted my handy dandy FS knife infographic.
If we hit the carotid, that dude's super dead.
>>
>>33743514
the Jugular is easy to treat actually, its pretty simple to keep someone alive and can be fixed with a decent doctor/surgeon, if you can treat it immediately, you can keep them stabilized indefinitely, I've actually had to do just that when a sectionmate took a round to the throat, he survived fine.

>>33743533
Yeah the Carotid's are the real lethal ones, though fairly hard to hit without something like a piercing slicing weapon, like a FS.
>>
>>33743526
Yeah, but we took a big bite. The human jaw is pretty strong, so hitting an artery isn't out of the question.
We could also have maybe gotten his larynx, which would suffocate him

And even if he does live by sheer luck, the human mouth is filthy; he'll probably get a nasty infection for us to deal with.
>>
>>33743558
>I, too, know a guy who got shot in the throat and survived just fine. With a musket ramrod of all things.
>>
>>33743565
If that does happen just because of a coin flip, then thats just fucking piss poor terrible QM'ing on HK's part.
>>
>>33743604
We don't know how bad the wound is yet. I'd guess HK probably rolled for damage behind the scenes, so there's a chance he'll live.

A chance.

We might have some first aid rolling to do after we get this Dave business sorted out.
>>
>>33743565
>Yeah, but we took a big bite. The human jaw is pretty strong, so hitting an artery isn't out of the question.
The way the jaw works and the structure of the muscles in the neck means you grab a big bunch of soft tissue, tendons and muscle and the arteries slip away with bruising and trauma, surprisingly the necks construction acts like ablative layered armor.

>>33743565
>We could also have maybe gotten his larynx, which would suffocate him
Also easy enough to treat if you have anyone who''s been through Clearing Airway;s 101.

>>
>>33743604
Eh, it's creative. I wouldn't be particularly happy about losing anyone this way, but it's fair play as far as I'm concerned. We already knew that Dave can freak out but we kept him around anyway. Decisions and consequences.
>>
>>33743681
Which is why I've been harping on since fucking the beginning of the goddamn quest about getting better armor because fuck me our shit would not be seen being worn by bandits for fucks sake.
>>
>>33743688
>Eh, it's creative.
Maybe, but by no means acceptable practice, it's almost as bad as Mr Bones pitting his quests against each other without telling his players and then thinking it was "an interesting storytelling mechanic" when all it did was kill both quessts.
>>
>>33743460

You lash out at the closest shape, the thing on your left. Your fist connect's cleanly with its face, and then you remember that you shattered that wrist earlier. You freeze on the spot, unbelievable pain searing through your arm and crushing your thoughts. The shape on the right smashes you into the ground.

You twist and thrash under the weight, screaming incoherently at your opponents. They press down on you, forcing you further into the mud and holding you still.

Not again, you cry to yourself. Not again. Why did you let them capture you again? You don't want to go through that torture. Anything but that.

The little one wraps something gentle around your face. The distinctive smell of chloroform fills your senses.

"How's the Doc?"

Beard grunts. "Nothing we can do now, I guess. What've you done with the bastard?"

"Strung him up. He's hanging by his ankles in the bunk room. Chained this time, not strapped. And I'll be damned if we're letting him out any time soon."

"It's not his fault!" Your blurted insertion to the conversation turns both heads. "Please," you add meekly, "don't blame Dave."

Beard snorts. "You have a funny definition of fault. He tore a man's throat out IN MY BOAT! You're lucky I don't just have him shot for breaking the peace right now."

Beard's sudden anger scares you a little. You look away, fixing on your own toes instead. Vasa rests her hand on your crown, gently tilting you back up. "We're not punishing him. Don't worry." You nod, and she turns back to Beard once more ignoring your presence. You slip away and up the stairs as they resume discussing options.

In the bunk room, you find Dave hanging upside down from the wall, his hands and feet chained up tight enough you can see red welts already forming around his wrists.

His eyes are open, his face blank. He regards you with a cool gaze as you enter.
"Let me down."

You stare at him, he stares right back. You feel like he's not even looking at you, but at a spot in the far distance directly behind your head.
"Why would I do that?"

>>33744245
So the violence was a withdrawal symptom, and this is his natural state.
Guys, I think we just found something big.

>"Subject what? Dave did someone experiment on me?"
>>
>>33744406
Don't be too eager to believe everything you hear from crazy people, anon. There's absolutely no evidence that he couldn't just flip his shit again. On the contrary, if the resurfaced memories are the cause then all it takes is for him to lose focus and slip back into those memories.
>>
>>33744245
"Subj- what? Waaah? You experimented on me?"

He shakes his head. "Observed. Contained."

"Contained? You contained me?" Again, he shakes his head. "Dave answer me! What do you mean subject. How do you know me?!"

He stays silent, now staring at the wall across from him. You fall back onto your butt, considering his words. Something about it churns your guts. Like who you are is a lie, somehow. That there's something else as well that you should be thinking about.

"Sixty-eight? How many more are there?"

"Hundreds."

The two of you remain in silence for a long time. You struggle to both think and not think. Somehow you know you don't want to hear what else he might have to say.

You're not sure how much later it is when you notice movement at the portal. Kris leans against the door, hands caked in dried black blood. Her eyes red and puffy. Dave speaks at her. "I warned you to restrain me well."

She glares at Dave, murder in her eyes. "How do we know you won't do that again if we let you go?"

"You don't," he says. "Take it on trust."

>?
>>
>>33744508
"Alright, I'll trust you for now, but Kris, keep an eye, and your gun, watching him."
>>
>>33744508
Well... Do we trust him?
>>
>>33744575
I say Loli can trust him, Kris and the others though, not so much.
>>
>>33744508
as we already got kidnapped a few times, i really don't think we can just ignore what he said because he's crazy

"that's not how trust works, Dave...
we know what we risk if we free you, but what could go wrong if we don't?"
>>
>>33744508
God no. Absolutely not. Right or not, the man is batshit insane and he isn't giving us any reason to think he won't just flip out again. That's why he can't remember everything, he's deliberately avoiding remembering. But what happens when he gets to the center or wherever he came from and sees something he remembers? He goes berserk again? No, that's just not acceptable. Not to us, and not to him.
>>
>>33744508
"Dave, give me a reason, give me something to trust you on, a secret, a cache, information or anything, because you've left very little for me to trust you on."
>>
>>33744594
we need a method of controlling him, but I'm not willing to just leave him here to rot when he apparently knows so much about the Zone and us, with how useful he could be when helpful and sane
>>
>>33744508
>"I'm going to give you the benefit of doubt, and let you walk around. But we're keeping your hands restrained for a few days, in case you relapse. And you'll have to explain what's going on to the rest of the team; that means probably going into detail about what's up in the Center."
>>
>>33744628
This is a good compromise, and we should also get some tranqs to use on him in case his switch flips again
>>
>>33744612
So you would rather go into the center with someone who might turn feral and rip your necks out at any moment. He stays, for everyone's good.
>>
>>33744634
a tranq gun/rifle would do wonders, i think
>>
>>33744644
I'd rather get to the center and know what the fuck is going on and not walk in like random mooks to the slaughter.

He's a variable we can control and muzzle, the Zone? Not so fucking much.

I'd rather go to the center with him under control than miss out on his knowledge and secrets helping us, because frankly, we are in no fucking shape to even start thinking about heading north let alone entering the center.
>>
>>33744662
indeed, duct tape a few to our parties rifles and we're set
>>
>>33744662
Do you think beard has one? I'd imagine he mostly stocks conventional firearms, but you never know.
>>
>>33744675

>>
Rolled 46, 28, 74 = 148

Excuse me whilst I query the dice gods.
>>
>>33744668
Then control him. Anons right now are suggesting solutions that clearly can't restrain him if he loses it, essentially agreeing to strap a remote controlled bomb to us. It's insane.
>>
>>33744672
I wouldn't say duct tape them to our guns. I'd imagine a tranq gun would be its own thing, either rifle or pistol sized.
The tranquilizer gun in MGS2 was a modified M9, for example, so we'd probably see something similar.

If we can't get a tranquilizer gun, then some sort of syringe would work almost as well. We'd have to get close though; so I'd prefer a gun.

>Uhh.. is there a consensus or should I let you guys debate some more?

>Debating in-character is a perfectly viable option if you want to talk to the others/Dave some more.
>>
>>33744732
Let's ask Dave if he would mind use talking about him outside.
>>
>>33744722
you just need a CO2 canister for propellant and a barrel as well as action and trigger, so you could feasibly rig up something the size of a underbarrel grenade launcher

>>33744732
consensus seems to loosely be Loli kind of trusting him, but talking with the others and organizing a means of controlling and subduing him should we need to
>>
>>33744726
Keep him here or kill him. That's my suggestions. None of the others are sufficient as far as I'm concerned. The man is a beast.

>>33744702
>Then control him.
?

what would be sufficient short of killing him in your opinion?
>>
>>33744732
>>Debating in-character is a perfectly viable option if you want to talk to the others/Dave some more.
we should ask Dave and the others how we can control him and see if beard has any powerful tranqs, we should let the party know what he knows about us and that we think his knowledge will be very important
>>
>>33744732
I think most of us want to ween a bit more info from Dave and some way to keep him under control, like a tranquilizer gun.
>>
>>33744781
If I knew how to do that, I'd suggest it. But relying on methods he could likely shrug off and which we likely could be forced to attempt to apply in combat situations is a terrible idea. It will get everyone killed.
>>
>>33744732
agreed.
>>33744807
>>
>>33744811
>>33744813
we used to have a bunch of IED's from one of Dave's caches, what about rigging something like a bomb collar but less lethal version filled with drugs to instantly knock him out by remote if we need to?
>>
>>33744841
Like something filled with chloroform? They used a bottle to subdue Dave earlier in the thread, so I know we have some. We just need a reliable delivery system that can efficiently knock him out, and a remote switch.
>>
>>33744863
The problem with that is a) the system breaking and b) accidental activation.
>>
>>33744841
If it actually works instantly and can be triggered at any time by at least two members of the party, yes that's at least somewhat safe. If not, it is still a walking disaster waiting to happen.
>>
>>33744863
indeed, if we make it burst into a cloud or fill it with something absorbed through the skin we could knock him out with the press of a button, the remote switch we can get Vasa to build from the the IED's we have/had or from scrap

>>33744877
which is why we should have a second or a backup, and if it goes off by accident, then Dave is knocked out, not really all that bad...
>>
>>33744877
The only ideas we really got so far are that or a tranquilizer gun.
I guess the latter is more reliable, and depending on their size we can get probably have everyone equipped with one.
>>
>>33744895
Unless we're relying on him to do something.
>>
>>33744919
with how reliable he usually is, that barely changes anything
>>
>>33744919
Don't. Never again. He cannot be relied on.
>>
>>33744877
>the system breaking
The mechanical trigger mechanisms of soviet landmines are remarkably durable and reliable, I should know, I've driven over one and worked around others.

Hook something like that up to a piezoelectric switch which is activated by a cellphone, which is piss easy to juryrig (the Mujaheddin have been doing that for 40 years) and you've got a very simple and reliable trigger system.

>>33744919
In which case we'd be in the same situation as if he wasn't there...
>>
>>33744508
"...Let us think about it."

He doesn't move. You suppose he wouldn't. He can't exactly object. You and Kris slip out to get Ice and Viktor together with Vasa at Beard's bar. "He knows stuff," you tell them straight off. "He's... helpful now, I think. He knows stuff and I think we need him if we want to get up there."

Ice crosses his arms, but doesn't speak. Viktor does. "No way. Bringing that crazy asshole with us? I'm not gonna lie here, he scared me enough anyway. I don't wanna bring him if he could kick off like that again."

Kris cuts in, "he claims he doesn't need the pills now. It was just withdrawal. But we've got to take him on trust."

"Uh huh. Trust. In the Zone. That always works well." Viktor's sour tone displays his thoughts clear enough. Kris looks to Vasa. Vasa looks to you. Then back to Kris. Then shrugs.

"I'd be happy if we had a way to put him down."

You nod eagerly. "Right! We could get a tranquilizer to knock him out again! Beard, you've got something like that, right?"
>>
>>33745170
Beard raises an eyebrow, "why would I? I have guns for killin' mutants, and guns for killin' bandits. That's the best I can offer. Although..." He grabs a bottle of whiskey from under the bar, jogs up the stairs and throws it down the corridor to the man snoozing at a side table at the far end. "Cardan, heads up!" The man jerks awake and catches the bottle. "Can you rig something to fire darts?"

"What? Ehh. Sure, it's simple enough. If you got parts for me."

"Owl, you greedy son of a bitch."

"If you got the cash, I got the goods."

"Great. Get to it."

He steps back down to you. "There. How's that?"

Kris looks between the group again. "So, if we get that and we can drop him, we've got one in and one out. Ice?" The way she looks at him now, you can tell she's waiting for his opinion before making her own. You don't really get why.

Ice closes his eyes, deep in thought. After a little while, he unfolds his arms. "Guy's a dick, but... I think we can trust him."

>?
>>
>>33745180
we still need a little extra... like shackles or something like that, i think
>>
>>33745180
those who don't trust him should feel free to keep a very close eye on him and a tranq ready but sounds good to me

>>33745208
good idea

we keep him under control, retrain his hands at first and we keep someone watching him as much as we can and we shouldn't have any problems we can't handle, and if we can't handle them, then we're fucked anyway
>>
>>33745217
>retrain
restrain*
>>
>>33745180
That seems good. Do we need to go fetch any parts for the tranq gun?

The only other thing to note is that I want Dave's hands restrained for a few days, so he's less dangerous if he relapses.
>>
You know what we need? a vest with Sticky Foam inside it, and the moment he acts us, we trigger it and cover his body in it.
>>
>>33745301
That may crush his chest.
>>
>>33745398
I suddenly like that plan.
>>
>>33745398
Nah, its soft and conforms to surfaces until it hardens, so it would spread everywhere and cover his limbs and torso and then harden so he couldn't move, but it wouldn't crush him.
>>
>>33745432
>Nah, its soft and conforms to surfaces until it hardens, so it would spread everywhere and cover his limbs and torso and then harden so he couldn't move, but it wouldn't crush him.

Oh, I was thinking 'Instant expansion to its full size.' THAT would crush his chest. Your foam? Not so much.
>>
>>33745451
Oh it expands like crazy, but its got no force behind its expansion, at least nothing strong enough to injure before it sets.
>>
>>33745468
Then we've just got to remember that it isn't 'oh, vest popped, Dave's no threat now.' We've still got to dodge that small amount of time after the vest pops it load until Dave is fully incapacitated,
>>
>>33745630
true, so we'd need to seek cover for about 4 seconds
>>
>>33745630
>the vest pops it load
Now I'm imagining Vasa chuckling at Kris saying "Damnit, Dave blew his load again" and Loli wondering why its funny.
>>
>>33745655
Why would Vasa tell a joke?
>>
>>33745180
"Right... okay." You head back to Dave. "We're going to let you go, Dave, in the morning. When we're ready to leave. We're gonna keep your hands tied so you can't hurt us too much and we're bringing a tranquilizer so we can knock you out if you do anything funny. Is that okay?"

He shrugs. "Fine."

"...Right. Good. Okay." You feel a little disheartened at his lack of response.

It's not even been a few hours, and you're already missing the old Dave...

Thanks for the thread, folks!
I'm a little disheartened that you guys chose to keep running away. I was sort of looking forward to you brutally murdering every single person in Skadvosk.

For the record, the first choice was originally going to choose the direction this went in, violence or no. When I had to coinflip for that, I switched to taking the second option to decide. Not ambushing Kris after tearing Doc's throat out saved a lot of lives.

For now, Q&A is open as always and thread is open to discussion. Next thread... hopefully Thursday if I can get Racketeer wrapped up in time for once. If not, it will unfortunately be next week since I have another tournament this weekend.

Other than that, thanks for playing, thanks for reading, and especially thank you for having such a hearty discussion about Dave! You guys are awesome, and I hope to see you all next time!

Also, we need to get another cosplay uniform with lots of armor in it

It was a fantastic thing for everyone. A low roll would've had him go down kicking. A middling/high roll would've had him breaking through the circle and keeping up his attempt to escape.
A nat.20 would've left Loli incapacitated and both guys in various states of dis-assembly.

Clues to what?

>>33746107
well in the last thread we did notice dave had less and less pills, and "shit getting real" plus "one or two" characters surviving announced on the ask.fm kinda gave it away
the opening post did have "you are dave" written on it oh, looks like i completely forgot the "dave special" was announced anyway , we know the guy can go berserk...

Lost pills last thread, leading to Dave asking to be restrained. Begin this thread restrained.

Twitter and Ask.fm posts suggesting that shit's going to get real, and how this thread would be a Dave special.

The OP,

>YOU ARE DAVE
but messed up, to clue in that something is seriously wrong here.

Perhaps these were a lot less obvious than I thought.

HKs plot is, as far as I'm concerned, covered in a thick shroud of "I won't tell you anything useful" but his actual intentions tend to be pretty clear if you follow his Twitter. Keep that shit in the threads otherwise punishing for not seeing meta shit would be a fucking massive turd to drop in our laps.

>but his actual intentions tend to be pretty clear if you follow his Twitter. All of the fake bad ends could be seen coming a mile away if you read them. I've picked up hints on qtg occasionally though nowadays I avoid that shithole.
This is the kind of terrible meta fucktardery that you should be AVOIDING HK, not actively engaging in and then punishing us for when we miss you being a chucklefuck.
>>
>>33746268
What >>33746323 said, just with less venom.

Those are very very dangerous practices to get into as a QM, and any time that your intentions are not conveyed clearly through the threads is a sign of a problem.

You really don't want to get into that QM Vs Players mindset and such actions can very much be taken as 'evidence' of such things, and that taking root in players or QM is in no way healthy to the quest in any aspect.

I'd much rather see you as a friend and companion on the journey of storytelling than a troll out to get the players.
>>
>>33746384
>I'd much rather see you as a friend and companion on the journey of storytelling than a troll out to get the players.

/tg/ always seems so boring when it comes to that, interpreting a bit of fun and challenge as antagonizing. Dave killing our friends is a natural consequence of bringing him along at all. That has been clear for a long time. I don't understand why anyone gets mad when it actually happens.
>>
>>33746574
Because we're playing a naive 12 year old and are emotionally invested and attached to the party and we are not ruthless heartless soulless husks of a human being.
>>
>>33746592
And yet our choices still have consequences. Wouldn't it be boring otherwise?
>>
>>33746574
>interpreting a bit of fun and challenge as antagonizing.
Theres a difference between merely interpreting that and actively being antagonistic and honestly? With how Kaleun has acted throughout this quest and when talking out of character, I honestly don't trust him anymore and he's got a long way to go before I do again, and until then, I'm going to treat things as worst case until its proven otherwise, and he's yet to do that.
>>
>>33746648
>Wouldn't it be boring otherwise?
nope, things were aweomley fun in the beginning when we were doing largely consequence free things, lately, that aspect of the quest, has entirely vanished.
>>
>>33746268
So whatever happened to the dosh and gear we were going to acquire from the jobs we were doing while Vas and Loli werr injured?
>>
>>33746661
You mean when people were dying left and right as a result of our actions? I think as early as thread 3 or 4 all of our new friends were brutally murdered except for one who left us for dead. What changed is people started realising that wasn't a joke and people actually were dying and that we could die too. People started caring instead of laughing manicly when everybody dies.

Now I'm not saying HK hasn't changed either but he IS largely doing the same thing he always was. There were always consequences. Aside from some ominous plot bogeyman we know nothing about the main difference to me seems to really just be that we actually care now.

You want your fun back, just start having fun at the idea of Loli screwing up everything in the Zone. Start having fun at the idea that she doesn't belong there and might sometimes have bad things happen to her but probably still make it out somehow. As far as I'm concerned, that was always the point.

Not speaking for anyone but myself here, but it is my genuine point of view.
>>
>>33746787
I think they only did like two jobs without Loli? One from Kris' perspective and one while we were training. I think both paid significantly less than the hostage situation.

I know we got the armor for Vasa, and some other minor stuff along with that, but generally nowhere near all the stuff we'd actually like to have. Might have to look for some way else to give us more money, or just take the dive into the center and pray for the best.
>>
>>33746787
Kris is holding onto the cash. It's enough to cover everything you've been asking after so far, minus the cost of the tranq gun. She'll have acquired everything you need before you leave in the morning.
>>
>>33747234
(Addendum, "need" is covering things like the amount of food, water, medical supplies and ammunition you need to get there and back safely. New weapons and armor etc will need some extra.)
>>
>>33747234
excellent, what was the full rundown again? I know there was some armor and a rifle for Vasa, and some gasmasks we already got, don't know what the rest is/was

>>33747256
we also need to get a new cosplay outfit, fit with ceramic strike plates and kevlar weave inserts
>>
>>33747320
A flash new rifle for Vasa. Armor for Kris, Vasa and a loli-size exosuit.
Any 'extra' supplies and ammo, such as grenades, RPG warheads or IEDs/detonators that are wanted. Chocolate.

Anything else you guys think you want to bring, really.
>>
>>33747359
>a loli-size exosuit.
oh fuck yes

>Chocolate.
oh fuck yes

do we still have any of the plastique we looted from Dave's cache? if so, we're gonna want some comdets to make IEDs and other fun things

also, Loli should try to pick up a pair of gSH-18 pistols with armor piercing ammo, because those would be sweet

can't think of anything else immediately as its almost 3am and I need sleep, but I'll probably think of a few things befure/during next thread.
>>
