You are Null Gene?, a former patriot experimental super-weapon?, with no code name designation as of yet.
Employed by Desperado Enforcement LLC, armed with an Exoskeleton engineered for CQC, now enhanced by HF claws, and a multi-purpose rifle.

>Last Thread
Null Gene has infiltrated the stored Arsenal Gear, found 20 damaged Metal Gear Rays, and 5 undamaged ones, and experienced something strange.

Lycaon (Bladewolf) had captured the FROG Commander of the enemy forces, current position and tactic is unknown but assumed to be well.

X-S2 Seems to be female, that however could be due to what you were experiencing.

Are you ready for the Sorrow?
>>
The world seemed to slowly revert back from the distortion, X-S2's Gekko blurring in front of you as her? voice echos in your head. "Gene?" It sounded familiar, as if you had known it very well once "Gene!"

X-S2's Dwarf Gekko brought back it's hand and whapped you in the face. That certainly woke you up. It rather painful against your exposed face. You blink, then blink again. The world seems to be normal, although you still felt the adrenaline pumping in your veins. And a need for something, you felt as if you could drink an entire River.

Standing, you realize you're still in the hallway with the RAYs, if they were to activate as it is, you would most likely lose against all of them. You should either destroy them or have X-S2 transfer them over to your control.

"X-S2, can you convert those RAYs over to our side?" Your voice seemed hoarse "Or at least cut them off from their control?" The tiny Gekko nodded.

The voice scrambler back on, She(?) responded with "I can try at least, you should probably advance further into the facility if you're alright."

You nod to X-S2, giving the hacker full rein over the RAYs. The modified Dwarf Gekko grasped onto the rail, and utilized it akin to an Acrobat. Spinning the dwarf gekko body into the air, towards the Metal Gear RAYs.

Somewhere inside you, you felt as if this may be the wrong choice. Maybe trusting people didn't come easily to you, but putting twenty five Metal Gear RAYs, even if they were damaged in someone else's hands seemed like a bad idea. You decide to shrug it off and move on, you need to get moving if you want to catch the enemy leader.

Opening up a link to Lycaon, he immediately begins to talk as if he knew you were going to do that. "The battle is going efficiently" His cold electronic voice greeted your ears "Our casualties have been minimal, the assault upon the enemy has caused a sufficiently higher ratio of casualties."

You were about to ask about the prisoner, but he responded before you even opened your mouth "The prisoner is the enemy commander, I believe she intends to defect, however her intentions have not been established." You paused, about to criticize him in case he was simply letting the FROG sit around

"We are attempting to utilize some of the information she is supplying us" You felt it's tone turned a little towards annoyance, maybe it even predicted you underestimating it? "She is not simply sitting around, we are also bringing her along, so as to sow seeds of dissent in the emotional enemy commander."

He cuts off the connection, as you continue forwards into Arsenal Gear. But something felt wrong, as if there was blood lust in the air, slight noises alerted you to something around that you couldn't put your finger on straight away. It raised your hackles, making you feel uncomfortable.

Perhaps it was an enemy?

You decide to simply advance on. It wasn't so much of a trap, but rather simply nearly the entire of Arsenal Gear's Unmanned Forces. You seem to think in your mind about what a normal person would say in this situation. As you faced down a line of GRADs, ready to open fire at you. "Holy shit?" Maybe?

Strafing to the side, you pull out your rifle as the machine guns began to pour out hot lead in your direction. The missiles would surely follow soon. The Gekko in the background were getting ready to pounce, as signaled by that cowlike sound. Perhaps "Oh fuck" would be a better phrase?

The missiles started firing as Dwarf Gekko began to pour out of the walls. It seems you were in quite the situation. Dropping to one knee and sliding towards the wall upon it, you take aim and fire at the missiles approaching you, lead meeting missile. The air was filled with explosions. Calmly pulling the trigger wasn't simply enough however.

One of the larger missiles got through, about the time that a Dwarf Gekko had started to attack you. Spinning around, you grab one of the Dwarf Gekko bodies, trailing it's body through the masses of it's brethren. Finally ending your spinning, the missile is getting very close.

Your head-guard closes around you. Then you smash the Dwarf Gekko body into the missile. It absorbs the blast to a sufficient degree, only staining your fists with combustion marks rather than any damage. At this point the five Gekko that were behind the grad lines jump over towards your location. The floor shook as the unmanned weapons landed in your vicinity. Roaring with their strange voices.

It seems like this was going to be a long fight, the enemy would most likely be alerted. Hopefully Lycaon had distracted the enemy replacement commander enough that you wouldn't be pursued properly.

You felt yourself slip back into that certain mindset. It was one from when you were a child. You remembered working in a team, against such superior numbers victory would have been almost impossible. And yet almost without a scratch, you remember panting upon a pile of bodies, with that.... thing, on your chest, panting with you.

The memory was hardly an issue as you slammed your Elbow into a knee of a Gekko, inverting it. Only to turn, grasp the leg of another Gekko which was trying to slide-kick you, and slamming it into the Gekko you just disabled. Another three remained. It's breathing was light and soft, you could feel it's chest press against yours. Slowly expanding and the deflating. It was breathing.

Two Gorilla-alike UGs jump down from the Ceiling, beating upon their chest. You don't give them the chance to act after that mistake. Sliding between one's legs, you utilize it's crotch and grasp onto it. This allowed you to maneuver yourself up into the air. The HF Claws came out of your fingers. The first Mastiff was little more than shredded mechanical and biology bits after you had finished with it.

Grasping the remains of it's arm in the air, you wear it in one hand like a glove. Shooting out the shotgun-like blasts into the Mastiff next to you. The Grads behind you began to open fire once more, regardless of their allies nearby. You were unsure of whether this would work or not, but as the Mastiff charged through the fire from it's brethren's arm, you utilized it as a jump platform.

Quickly twirling in the air, the sight in front of you was already filled with lead, missiles and hostiles. As you started to fall, you began to dodge the missiles, lightly tapping on each one as you attempted to make your way behind the enemy line of GRADs.

She, was it a she? Slowly moved her head closer to yours. A smile. Was she smiling?

The GRAD was in shreds before you, your hands grasping at it's core as if it were a throat. The blue electrolyte fuel core glowing as if a neon light in your hands. It began to crack and splinter in your fingers, until it was little but shards in your metal gloves.

The GRAD Formation quickly began to circle you after switching battle mode. They however did not engage, as the Mastiff attempted to charge you from the back. Ducking under it's larger body while it charged, you slammed your body upwards. Sending the larger UG up into the air. As it came down, you trailed your claws from the fork in it's legs to it's head.

It turned into three pieces of scrap metal, as you then began to face off against the remaining three GRADs, and two Gekko.

The first GRAD approaches, swinging one of it's arms towards you. You bring up your knee, meeting the armor plate with your hardened Exoskeleton suit, caving in the armor plate. Almost as if automated, the other arm revolves around to try and hit you. Instead of taking it head on, you grasp the armor plate, spinning your body, and slamming the grad into the ground beside you.

The combat vehicle wasn't built to be put on it's side, unable to get up in a sufficient amount of time to counter-attack. The other Gekko began to move in, pouncing at you, intending to squish you beneath it's feet. Placing a foot on the Grad, you grasp the armored arm, and pull.

The wires and metal began to snap, the metal warping as your superior strength. Ripping the arm off, you manage to get it just in time. The Gekko's legs slam against the make-shift shield. You slam your hand through the armor plating on your side, grasping the Gekko's leg. With a surprised Moo, the Gekko starts to fall towards the ground.

Before that happens, you spin yourself and the Gekko. Twirling fast enough, you land the Gekko's body upon the half-gotten up GRAD you had slammed into the ground. You unfurl your hand inside the Gekko's leg, causing it to explode into gore. Effectively having disabled those two UGs, only a few of the GRADs remained.

They were soft upon your lips, or were your lips soft upon theirs? She smiled at you. Your hands around her body. Her hair across your face. Was there a crack in her glasses?

It was almost as if someone else was piloting your body as you dropped onto one knee. Your rifle coming up. Your eye in the sights as you pointed at a GRAD's legs.

Ten, fifteen, twenty. The bullets smashed against the GRAD, exploding against it's less armored body parts. As it began to advance on you, it's leg started to fail, falling to the ground, unable to move.

The last GRAD wasn't much of a challenge. As the world turned red, you advanced.

>I wash my hands of you.
>>
>>33728558
The GRAD retreated, firing it's weaponry at you. Slapping the first missile aside, you advance through the hail of bullets. Your exoskeleton deflecting the hot lead.

Inhaling in a long breath. You jump forwards, your feet impacting on the floor harder than it could handle, smashing the ground beneath you. The GRAD changed mode as you flied towards it, making the most effective shield it could. You slam your fist into the GRAD's armor plating.

The air pressure in the room suddenly shifted from the impact of your blow, the blood from the Gekko splattering off of your hand, akin to the mechanical gore that slammed against the wall on the other side of the room.

Turning your hand akin to a key, the GRAD's plating crumbled under your attack. The blow was completed, forcing the GRAD's body back into the wall, it's metal body almost destroyed.

But even so, it attempted to fight. You advance again. The only resistance you find is a single machine gun, attempting to shoot you, despite the fact it's weaponry was hideously warped, the targeting A.I unable function.

You grasp the turret in your hands. Ripping it off of the GRAD. Then you continue. Grasping it's arms, you rip each of them off, tossing now hunks of scrap metal into the room behind you. The room turned a bit of a darker shade.

What did this remind you of? A question comes to mind as you continue ripping the GRAD to bits, electrolyte fluid spilling over your face as you smashed it's fuel cells. It was dead. But you still continued.

Soon there wasn't a body left. Null Gene? you, yourself, was left standing in a pool of oil, electrolyte fluid, and pieces of scrap metal. Panting heavily, viewing yourself almost as if from a camera.

You feel a hand on your face for a moment. Then you are back, your breath scraping your throat as you stood in the impact crater of the GRAD, in the wall.

This fighting style had me thinking of another upgrade...

FROM THE MAKERS OF THE FRACTURE FISTS COMES DEPLOYABLE EXOSKELETAL BLADES

Extra armor plating on the limbs is capable of shifting into fully-formed, highly durable HF blades over the limbs, allowing punches, kicks, shoulder charges, knees, even headbutts to have a powerful, lethal edge accompanying the blows.

With software/hardware upgrades, the HF plates can increase the speed of their changes, allowing easy, instantaneous shifts from heavy armor for defense to using that same limb for a counter-attack.

You brush your own hair out of your face. The MISSION comes first. A phrase comes to your mind as you think about it "Loyalty to the end." As long as you had that, you were fine. But who were you loyal to now that.....who was gone?

Discarding your thoughts, you advance forwards. Arsenal awaits. Lycaon coms in "The enemy commander has entered the field. It seems he is more heavily equipped than we expected, we are going to retreat." He seems to be annoyed at the turn of events "Be careful, the enemy may return to his position."

Deciding to get a move on, you start to rush forwards. Eventually you end up in a control room of sorts, but....it seems someone was already there. It was a girl by the looks of things, clothed in very little, surprising. Although as you turned a corner, just before the window ended, you saw the makings of several exoskeleton suit parts, as well as several blades upon her body.

After you had went past that little bit of window. She had vanished. Even your instincts didn't pick up on her still being around. You twirled around, your eyes scanning the room. But there was nothing you could see.

You check the control console, you were unsure of how to operate it currently, so you would either have to wait for X-S2 or attempt to find the commander to end the battle.

Rays are nice but sort of mass produced garbage. A bunch of RPGs can down them for a fraction of the price, and maintenance costs are nothing to sneeze at.

Still, selling them would net us a nice hedge fund.

Linking into X-S2's feed you start to message her through text, so you don't alert anyone to your presence. You also decide to hide under one of the desks. Your exoskeleton suit hiding your thermals. You swear for a moment you could feel your hackles raise as something looks at you.

But you don't see it. Or whatever it was. X-S2 and yourself talk back and forth about the current situation.

She offers to deploy the metal gears, you decide however not to, for whatever personal reasons, it seemed your loyalty did not lie with Desperado. You state that you're waiting for the enemy commander to arrive so you can ambush him, so X-S2 shouldn't appear yet.

A massive clanking could be heard coming down the hall way, along with a fowl mouth "That fucking FROG BITCH" The anger filled voice filled the hallway, and the room you were in "Betrayin' me like a fucking whore, like every damn woman." A mechanical fist, the size of your torso slams through the wall. It seems that battle mech was very large, and very powerful.

He turned the corner, facing into the room "Now where's that damn controller, I'm gonna send all of then sk-" Sky high, is what he would have ended his sentence with, you believe.

However an arrow protruded from the armoured rib cage, it looked strange. It was more akin to a thin syringe than an actual arrow. You saw it injecting, but quickly you had to avert your eyes, as it lit up brightly.

Thermite began to chew it's way through his armour, screaming he used his huge fists, almost out of instinct to try and brush it off, smashing himself to the ground. From there he continued to scream, but only for a moment. The Thermite had burnt through enough of his body at that point he wouldn't be able to speak.
>>
That same strange girl you saw in the room from before, jumped down from some unknown place in the roof, spinning in the air like an acrobat. She was holding a now with several of the thermite arrows, holding her finger to her ear she started whispering "PMC CEO had to be eliminated." Her voice resonated within you, you had heard it before, you knew it within yourself.

She continued speaking, but there were two words which censored themselves as she spoke, you knew they were two exceedingly important words, but there was something stopping you from hearing them "Isn't here, he vanished after he came into the room, I expect he's searching for the VIP"

There was no reply, but the woman got up, and you heard words from her, as if she were still in a conversation "You are right, we should get moving, if we stay here any longer we'll be caught by Desperado"

Still prone underneath the desk, you have a chance to attempt to intercept her, or simply let her go, you decide you will....

damn... what a way to go.

Twitter, for new players, is also @AdvisorQM

Oh, look, another one of us.

We'll let her know what Desperado is doing, see if we can recruit her for the inevitable coup
>>
HF arrows when?

Fracture Arrows?
>>
>>33731401
A bunch of well aimed RPGs can also take you down as well, much akin to Raiden.
>>
>>33732023
Arrows don't use blunt force, so the 'fracture' concept wouldn't quite work.

Besides, we use a rifle.
>>
>>33732023
Super-compound bow would be 1RP.
HF Arrows 20RP.
Fracture Arrows, probably 1000RP, if what I think is correct from the fracture anon is true.
>>
>>33732056
40mm Fracture Grenade then?
>>
>>33732094
Concept does not apply to any non-blunt melee weapon without being cost prohibitive. Hammer, fist, etc.

>>33732089
You know how Raiden can cut much further than his blade can reach? The idea of a 'fracture' weapon is to change the direction of the extended "cut" before it reaches the far side. Break off a chunk instead of making a clean cut of two seperate parts.
>>
>>33732175
That puts it in a far more understandable light actually. Still unsure of how Raiden cuts like that though.

Without going into ridiculous air pressure stuff
>>
>>33732175
Ah. I see. Are there any bio or chemical weapons that could fuck up a cyborg?

I can see VX gas or whatever doing something.
>>
>>33732344
My understanding is exactly what it says. The blade vibrates at a high frequency, pushing the object apart on either side. With the forward force from a cybernetics-driven swing, and the sheer power of the vibration, it is capable of projecting a 'wedge' along a vector through the object.
>>
>>33732399
That, actually makes sense. Huh. Now I can start to get a grip on this stuff.
>>
>>33732472
The "Fracture" upgrade works on sending an opposing wave of force, not meant to cut, in a specific direction so it can reverberate to meet the original, cutting force where the change in direction is supposed to be. It requires alot of exact knowledge about the make-up of whatever you're hitting, but it holds up to physics as much as the HF theory I put up there.

Next thread when?
>>
>>33732928
Good question.
>>
>>33733053
Indeed, quite.
>>
>>33731851
That bitch stole our kill!

Do we still get the objective for him being deded?
>>
I'd suggest a very brief mission recap at the start of each thread to include current objectives/orders.
>>
>>33737445
Yes.
>>
>>33743537
sweet, we should probably intercept HF arrow chick, though not to fight her, I'm more interested in knowing how we're connected
>>
>>33743537
Just posting to see how long we can keep this alive.

additionally, did my above explanation of Fracture style stuff help explain the concept a bit better?
>>
>>33743586
We want to intercept her because she probably has the mainframe data that we want.
>>
>>33745487
That too.

BAMPALAMB

Bam, you're still here.
>>
>>33743586
Just be ready to catch a shot of thermite!
>>
>>33747411
>HF Immune gauntlets

Nigga, we catchin arrows now.
>>
>>33747777
Nice sevens.
But Thermite melts through steel pretty easily, and this is probably some sort of super thermite.
