Welcome to Academy City. The time is probably morning now, the weather is stale, and the date is probably August 29.You are ‘Kyril Torikov’, ‘Level 2’ Telekinetic Child Error and you were in jail. It was a small cell of eight by eight metres. There were no loose objects, just a sink, a throne and a bunk. Hell, even the pillow was really just a raised bit of solid sheet of metal that made up the bunk. You wished you had a blanket. The air conditioning maintained a comfortable temperature but you still wanted a blanket. Of the four walls, one was bullet proof glass that depicted a pretty much empty white corridor. According to your jailors it was a temporary holding facility before they moved you to a more permanent residence. You don’t actually know where it was and why you weren’t there already. Maybe it was something to do with that deal you made with that old lady yesterday. Now that you thought about it, you didn’t actually manage to catch her name.Speaking of the devil, she was sitting on a bench opposite of your cell. She had arrived a few minutes ago. It seemed she wanted you to start the conversation. You couldn’t explain her silent staring otherwise. She was giving you time, time to think of something to say. While you had been stuck in a cell for you don’t know many hours now. There wasn’t a clock you could use. With the time you had, your mind had been hard at work ruminating on various worries. The fact that you were going to serve time was going to affect your relationships. You don’t think Kaoru would have a very opinion of you now, let alone Sparky. But what about Last Order? Who was going to take care of her now? What of Asuka, and her family? Then you realised it was probably the kind of mind games they would be playing to break you. To what end you did not know but the silence was uncomfortable.>Silently stare back>Ask her a question>Put her out of your mind
The rules are pic related. For more information see: http://padlet.com/BoredofDirector/acsquareq
>>33723735>Silently stare backWe're not gonna crack first.
>Silently stare back
>>33723735Where's my sister?
>>33723735>Ask her a questionHave my rates gone up?
>>33723735>Silently stare back
>>33723735>>Silently stare back
>>33723735>Silently stare backYeah, sometimes saying nothing is the best way to go.
>>33723735>Silently stare backDamn it I was gonna sleep too.
>>33723735>Ask her a questionStill think I'm valuable?
>>33723735>Put her out of your mind
>>33723735>Silently stare right back
You stared back. If that was how she wanted to play it, you might as well indulge her. Besides it’s been so long since you’ve had a staring contest. That got her attention. She blinked.“This isn’t a game,” she said. You smiled.“Have my value rating?” you asked.“For some reason, they think you still are,” she replied, “I do not know why.”She got up and moved closer to your cell.“Where’s my sister?” you asked another question.“Who knows? I expect she will want to pay you a visit before you are put under lock and key,” she shrugged, “And trust me, you will be for a very long time yet.”“But that doesn’t explain why you’re here,” you pointed out.“It is all very simple. I am here to inform you of the reality of your situation. Given our rapport, I have been made in to a simple messenger once again though admittedly I would have volunteered anyway. But now I digress,” she shifted tone, “Right now, you may as well be dead. When you enter the Reformatory you will never leave. Even if you do, you would be a changed man. Your time will taint everything you held dear and everything you love.”“So I work it off huh?” you mused.“That is a given,” she confirmed, “Officially you will be held permanently in solitary confinement. In actuality, we have thing we need you to do. You will have no name, you will have no record, and you will have no choice.”She paused. Maybe she wanted to let it sink in but you had a feeling it was for something else.“Are you saying I have a choice now,” you asked.“Maybe you do, maybe you don’t. All I know that security is lax during transportation,” she smiled, “but that’s just between you and me.”With that said, she left promptly. You would fall back on the bunk to digest her words and their meaning if you didn’t hear another set of footsteps coming down the hall.>It was Mum and Aneue>It was Sparky and Kaoru
>>33724781>>It was Sparky and Kaoru
>>33724781>It was Sparky and Kaoru
>>33724781>It was Sparky and KaoruOh boy here we go
"I told you I wasn't a hero."
>>33724781>It was Sparky and KaoruWhelp that pretty much confirms we're never hitting level 5, shame.
Reminder that we are the worst Onii-chan.
>>33725200We are a criminal, what did we expect?
>>33725200"You let me down Onii-chan! You did the worst possible thing! You got caught!"
Just caught up with the last thread.... why would you steal a shitty robot? Oh well. Good job killing LO and 10,000 clones. Let's see what we can salvage.
>>33725308We didn't kill LO, we just left her without her brother.
>>33725308If we had managed to sell it, we would be fucking rich now.
>>33725308Because it would have been awesome had it worked out, the dice just weren't on our side that day.
>>33725308don't blame wrenloft wrenlofting on us.
>>33725345And in 2 days time, Amai is going to put a virus in her head and she will have no-one to stop him. This virus will turn the Sisters into murder bots and get them all killed.>>33725375Yeah, not like working for the board, and a job from Lupin would have gotten us rich, or the fact we were pretty rich to start with.
>>337254045 million yen isn't that much.
>>33725430For a 16 year old? it's pretty rich.Oh well at least we helped Nakazawa, a robot that can't take a beating from Anti-skill is pretty terrible.
>>33725404Anon, we have plenty of people who are capable ofwatching overLO untill we get out of jail. She sould be fine.
>>33725404It stated that we wouldn't be paid while working for the board, also we spend most of our money. In hindsight, we could have gone from abut 30.000 USD to millions. With our expenses for information, tools and weapons 30.000 is not much.
>>33725381We should look at the positive side of things: We're now going to work with GROUP someday. I guess this has some immaterial worth.
>>33724781I have a little problem in comprehension. Is she saying we are going to be held in the reformatory and on occasion being 'released' for jobs?Or is she saying we will be 'officially' in the reformatory, while actually being a field operative fulltime?
>>33725555Assuming we make it that far without getting killed, of course. Also, aren't we a bit underpowered for GROUP?
>>33725587the second one I assume, idk about full time field operative though.Busting out (she did say security was lax during transport) and finding teacher sounds best IMO
>>33725555>Work with Group>Not getting killed by Kakine>>33725610We're probably more reliable to use than Tsuchimikado, and probably about equal with Etzali.
>>33725623Yeah, we bust out, collect our people, and then make for wherever Teacher is.
>>33725610Yes, we are extremely underpowered. But we also don't justify a new organization for us alone, so I guess we'd just get thrown in. Also Tsuchimikado is technically underpowered, too.>>33725660>Implying I said we'd survive
>>33725623>>33725716I am uncomfortable with the idea of AC hunting us down for the rest of our lives.Provided we even make it out of the city...I mean it's goddamn AC.I actually like the idea of becoming a field operative, our chances of survival who am i kidding? are probably better than trying to flee from AC being an esper.
>>33725716Don't we all have Nanomachines in us that broadcast our locations? Or is that only when you leave the city officially? Literally our only hope is to somehow hit Level 5 and then be worth more than we robot we destroyed, and the damage we've caused.Seriously Levels 5s get away with everything.
>>33725587I'm pretty sure Kyril will get the same treatment as that one chick, with the liquid shadow thing. Officially in jail forever; actually in jail at no point in time.Maybe we'll get to work for some cool crazy dudes or something? If they think we have potential, they might amp up our Power Curriculum Program type stuff in hopes of making us stronger. Even a strongish level 3 has his uses, after all.
>>33725822As long as we get to be a proper big brother to LO and our relationship with Asuka isn't ruined, I'm fine with working for them to get out of jail forever.
If only Letter Teacher was here. He'd know what to do.
>>33725822That would be the most logical way for AC to handle this, still I was a little confused.Getting strong while going full Darkside AC, would be pretty badass.
It was Sparky and Kaoru. You were honestly surprised that Shirai hadn’t showed with them. Sparky looked worried. Kaoru’s expression was more thin-lipped exasperation, as if she foresaw this. You wouldn’t be surprised if she did.“Hey there Sparky, Kaoru.”You waved from the other side of the glass. Sparky remained silent. Maybe she was in shock.“Where’s Shirai?” you asked Kaoru.“She was smugly gloating about you getting your just desserts and being generally obnoxious,” the Sikh replied, “I left her unconscious in the lobby.”“I bet she got a real kick out of this.”“To the solar plexus,” Kaoru elaborated, “I suppose I should ask what you were thinking then at this juncture.”“It seemed like a good idea at the time,” you offered the standard excuse.“The risks outweighed the reward then?” she continued, “Was it worth it?”You shrugged.“You were doing this for money?” Sparky chimed in now.You nodded.“But why would you need to break the law for that aniki?”“I told you I wasn’t a hero,” you sighed, “I break the law all the time. It never really seemed important to me, especially if I had to do so to help others, like Nunotaba. In fact I’m sure Kaoru here’s right jealous I haven’t broken the law for her yet. Then again she does work for Judgement.”“I am beholden to help those in need, to protect those who cannot help themselves. Judgement just so happens to facilitate that,” she corrected, “And yes, I am only slightly jealous.”“And you’re not surprised he ended up in jail?” Sparky asked.“Of course not, he reminded me of a friend I knew who was in the same situation.”“He from Lahore too?” you added.“Yes,” she closed her eyes in reminiscence, “He was very much like you. He is dead now. I hope that you do not follow in his footsteps.”“I’ll try,” you scratched your head.>Do you have anything more to say to them? (write-in)
>>33725937Honestly, Kyril's just about perfect for it.He's got:>loose morals>the ability to kill>telekinesis that's decent at least>people he loves>weak and defenseless people he loves>people he cares about>shady contacts>official contacts, through Nakamura or whatever his name isand so on and so forth.
>>33725979"They raid my room yet?"I hope the gun is okay.
>>33725937The trouble with getting strong is that all the shortcuts to power gaining are pretty much dead-ends. Ability Crystals kill you from the insides, Level Upper makes you comatose. The thought pattern matching only got Saiai to Level 4.>>33725979Not really, just ask them to look after LO for us.
>>33725979If anything happens to us, look after "Mishka" ok? We're pretty sure we'll be fine, but better safe than sorry.
>>33725979Could you guys watch over LO for me? Cypress Park isn't a bad place its just..you hear things about missing child errors and test subjects....and tell Asuka.. I'm sorry.and if they haven't hit it already, clear out my room of certain "things" dump them in Touma's place. tell him I owe him.
>>33725979>Watch over the Little One for me while I'm gone, okay? Don't take your eyes off of her.Poor Kuroko. She's absolutely correct, and she still gets kicked.>>33726052The railgun got from level 1 to level 5 via straight-up power curriculum program. The 'slow' way can probably still be sped up, though I imagine there are some downsides to that, given the PC program probably involves mildly mind-altering drugs.
>>33725979I'm sorry Sparky, that you found out about me like this. I just did not want to drag you into this side of my life.Don't think too low of me from now on....and take care of our little sister.
>>33726168Don't apologize. We chose this path of our own volition, and technically she hasn't been dragged anywhere.
>>33725979Even when we're a confirmed criminal, Kaoru is still a bro.
>>33726052I wasn't really talking about shortcuts, just more practice, or rather the need for practice and application.
>>33726151Isn't the power curriculum program just normal schooling, but for espers? We've been through that all the way to High-school and it hasn't really produced brilliant results. It's only been through combat and our forcibly reading extra-curricular items that we've grown from Level 2.Misaka was regarded as "Talented" by which I mean easy to power level. We don't really know how long the others took to get to Level 5. Honestly if we were in the Reformatory, we could probably use a similar method as Accel in the Level 6 Shift. Constantly fighting people in order to forcibly level up. The mind altering drugs side, I thought they were used on everyone at the start to create each a 'personal reality' in everybody.
>>33726245The apology is about the way she found out, not about Kyril being a criminal
So are we running or working for the Man?
>>33726336No, it involves drugs, brainwashing, and hypnosis, amongst other (unmentioned) things. The Power Curriculum Program is, allegedly, what creates personal reality in an esper. But you can probably ignore that because that's fucking retarded.Either way, there are methods of gaining power. They're just probably not very pleasant.
>>33726536We probably have better luck working for them. I think our perfect chance to get out of the city safely left with Nunotaba.
>>33726536Both options are working for the man. One just has us being a wanted criminal and the other has us going to the Dead Pool.
>>33726536fine with either, but I think being with Teacher would bear more fruit
>>33726536Neither, we should escape, wear a mask and become 'Zero', the hero of all the Level 0s and bring down the city from within!
>>33726683There's faster methods of suicide and better fictional terrorists to ripoff
>>33726536>>33726616This, never forget AC will try to kill any esper and destroy his/her body to prevent leaking information about Ability Development.
>>33726683I'm only half serious about this. I mean we should do our work for the city wearing a mask, or at least hiding our identity, so that people don't target those close to us. >>33726720A Magneto is good too.
>>33726748we're not gud enough for viva la revolucion.
>>33726780Hence why I said the Level 0s they're weak, useless and stupid anyway. Like Elevens.
>>33726748>>33726780And why would we even want to?We are a criminal that enjoys getting a kick out ouf fighting and stealing. Not an idealist who wants to stand up for the weak, we enjoy being and becoming strong.
>>33726837And that's worked out so well for us hasn't it?Anyway, my main point was to wear a mask so that people can't trace our misdeeds back to those we care about.
>>33726837Minions are pretty useful. Zealots doubly so.
>>33726734Apparently that's actually bullshit. According to Kumokawa, even if an outside agency got their hands on an Esper, they lack the simple basic ability to actually replicate one.
>>33726924We have a terrible Win/Loss ratio
>>33726336The Level 6 Shift was bullshit. You can't actually level up by fighting a bunch of people, that was just Crowley trolling everyone. How fast you level and if you can level at all is a combination of genetics, and if AC wants you to level or not.
>>33727002Except it's visibly not though our own ability. This is Bored's version of AC where we've grown because we've fought lots and read books. Nothing about if AC wants you to or not, which since we're in Touma's school, means in our case not.
>>33726748>implying that Academy City won't be the one targeting people close to us>>33727002How fast you level is a combination of mental instability and how far AC is willing to go (and how much they're willing to invest) to make you level. If it was genetics, the Misaka Sisters would have all leveled just like Misaka did.But it's a mental thing- by giving the sisters their hivemind, they removed any chance of them reaching level 5 like the original did, because they didn't have the right Personal Reality.
“What about my stuff?” you asked.“Your possessions have been repossessed,” Kaoru continued, “I believe one of the firearms you possessed was suspected of being your mother’s so they haven’t scrapped it yet. I have Teacher’s letter. Your savings account has been frozen as well. Otherwise I don’t think your room was disturbed too much.”“One of the firearms?” Sparky repeated.“Yes, I believe possession of am illegal firearm was on his list of offences,” Kaoru elaborated, “I believe it was the handgun that belonged to a certain Kiyama Harumi.”Sparky turned to you.“Did you steal that from her too?” she accused.“No, she surrendered the weapon before she hurt herself,” you lied, “If I’m sorry for anything Sparky, it’s you finding out about this. It’s fine if you’re disappointed, or mad.”“You’re damn right I am aniki,” she fumed, “What else are you hiding? What else are you lying to me about?”“Now, now Misaka-san, I’m sure he had his reasons,” Kaoru assuaged.“Well they’re stupid,” she huffed. It looked like the conversation was over. At least between you and Sparky anyway, since she turned to leave.“Take care of Mishka for me,” you asked of Kaoru.Sparky turned around at that.“Oh don’t worry, I will,” she threw a finger at you, “That way I’ll make sure she won’t end up like you.”Kaoru seemed apologetic, mostly from your expression. With a weak smile, you saw her off. If this visit was already draining you weren’t looking forward to others. It wasn’t until after lunch rolled around, or so one of the guards told you, that you were graced with another. This time it was,>Asuka>Mum
>>33727067Touma's school at least has Espers capable of creating decent barriers. They're not all level 0s, there are some low-mid levels mixed in.
>>33727132>AsukaWe weren't dealing in people so we're still good, right?
>>33727132>“Oh don’t worry, I will,” she threw a finger at you, “That way I’ll make sure she won’t end up like you.”Ouch.>MumI think Asuka still needs her bedrest, yanno? And I want Kyril to get scolded more. because he's CRIMINAL SCUM.
>>33727132>>Asuka>>Mumcan we have both?
>>33727132>MumBut we've already shown Mishka the most important lesson. 'Don't get caught.'>>33727141Yeah, but generally it's pretty terrible. We see in the Daihaisei the teacher mocking Komoe because she's stuck with chump students, and the fact they're poorly funded. If the city wanted us to level, they would have sent us to a good school.
>>33727132Ouch>>33727242It might be our last chance for speaking with her.
>>33727132>MumI can taste the suffering and disappointment
>>33727353Her ability involves ordering people to do things, though. She could very probably make them release us, given enough time and effort.Asuka is best girl, anon.Always remember that.
>>33727132>AsukaAs if she wouldn't beeline for us as soon as she found out where we were.
Can the cell keep us safe from Aneue?
Think it's likely we'll end up with BLOCK, since they are horrifically lacking in Espers (though apparently they have control over several Powered Suit units to compensate).
>>33727132>AsukaSooner or later, one of us was gonna end up here.Better us than her.
>>33727404 Of course not. She's gonna break us out.And then she's gonna just plain break us. The glass is only bulletproof, after all, and no bullet contains that much RAGE
>>33727398AC has telepathic countermeasures though. If they let her near anywhere of interest without having them in place, they're completely retarded.
>>33727398While she will probably get off light, if she tries something like this, she won't be able to actually bail us out.The board wants us to work for them, we ain't getting of that hook.>Asuka is best girl, anon.Always
>>33727451I can see us ending up with ITEM. Shenanigans with that one girl that hates us.
>>33727507She's a smart girl, anon. She'll work her way in from the bottom. Just like Queenie did.I believe in her.
>>33727398I doubt that but if she does... we propose to her right then and there
>>33727553If I had to vote, I'd definitely choose ITEM and GROUP over the other organizations.
>>33727553Can we really add anything to ITEM? Block or Member are really the only ones that work. School already has a TK and he's stronger than us and Group already has people with any skill we have. A completely story-original group might work best.
>>33727713ITEM doesn't have a TK guy, although we would be the weakest ability user in the group.
>>33727713I assume ITEM purely for character shenanigansthe hoodie chick hates our guts right? I can just see us doing their bitch work and her just relishing the fuck out of it.
>>33727713Sadly you are right, we really wouldn't add anything to ITEM or GROUP.
>>33727713We can steal Hamazura's job as their slave, but not much else. The only real group I can see us joining is GROUP, because we'd probably have gotten mixed up with them anyway just through our interactions with Touma.
>>33727553Isn't she planning on killing or kidnapping LO?
>>33727843No, all we know (OOC) is that she has some vague desire for vengeance by striking what's most precious to us. We don't even know if she found a target yet.
>>33727843I think it was whatever we care about most. So either LO or Asuka, or 'being a retard'.
>>33727823Yeah, but if we join GROUP we're just going to be overshadowed the whole time. Accelerator is a God-like version of us, Awaki is near-Level 5 in ability, and both Etzali and Tsuchi are better than us at the whole "sneaky" business. And if push comes to shove, both of them can pull out magic which is way more than our firepower.I mean we could help sure, but we have nothing to offer they can't do themselves. (Also I don't think Group is even formed yet anyways, and it's questionable if it ever will be with Accelerator going off in a different direction.)
Rolled 2>>33727884>>33727913Rollan for priorities1- Power2 - LO3 - Asuka
>>33727992You fool, you know not what you've done.
>>33727956>We replace Accel in GROUP>We're terribly overshadowed by everyone>On the plus side, Kakine doesn't want to murder us as much.>>33727992God damn it, don't roll, the dice hate us. Just pretend all we care about is something benign, like B movies, so she starts a hunt to destroy them, and falls in love with them, and canon is restored.
>>33728019>Implying it wasn't already happening>Implying this isn't the path we've paved>Implying it's too late
>>33728019It is the Will of the Dice God
>>33728019Seriously Bored, can we not let random anon rolls fuck us over even more?
You really shouldn’t be surprised that Asuka was so swiftly released from the hospital. Then again it had been a day, according the guards, so that was more than enough time for her to have recovered. She probably didn’t visit earlier because she just got released from the hospital. She came in alone, carrying a box. The Dean was not with her.“Good afternoon dear,” she sat down on the bench, “I take it you are well.”You only smiled at that, though you eyed the box in her hand. She noticed it too.“Oh this? This is cake,” she opened the box, “I wanted to give it to you but the guards insisted I did not feed you.”It was a nice round cake, probably a pound, or two, in size. The frosting was white and red. Strawberries adorned it. There was a sign stuck in the middle made of two types of chocolate. It read, “Congratulations on your incarceration.” Now you were hungry.“Which is a shame but I shall do the next best thing,” she continued, “I shall eat it for you.”Thus she produced a plastic fork and removed a slice. You noticed something metallic stuck inside the cake. It was a file.“Oh I forgot about that,” she mock admitted, “Academy City’s cells don’t have bars on them. But tell me, did you enjoy that joy ride of yours as much as I will enjoy this cake?”“On one hand, it’s was a giant robot,” you finally answered, “On the other? Well.”You gestured around your cell. Asuka grabbed a bite.[1/2]
>>33728140>>33728232Bored-sempai is way too silly for you guys to take him seriously!
>>33728423“I would gladly aid you in your escape if you so desire,” she started, “Unfortunately, your incarceration has complicated a great many things. My father, if you have not heard, is currently out of town. Uncle Shiro is currently hospitalised. This means my mother is free to pursue whatever whim she is suddenly struck by.”“Is this about the marriage thing?”“And more,” Asuka nodded slowly, “You see, my mother has it in her head that you are no longer fit for me. That you are ‘my first love’ so to speak. It is not incorrect but I did not like the implications she hinted at.”She got up, ignoring the cake now.“She has rescinded her decision to cancel the arrangements she had made,” there was a slight tremor in her voice, “Now I will do all in my power to do what is required to settle the matter peacefully.”She moved up to the glass, placing her hand on it as she looked straight at you. It was a look you’ve never seen on her for a while yet. The tears weren’t of sadness.“Don’t leave me.”>What do?
>>33728472>She moved up to the glass, placing her hand on it as she looked straight at you. It was a look you’ve never seen on her for a while yet. The tears weren’t of sadness.>>“Don’t leave me.”...Alright, boys. You know what we gotta do.We gotta break this cell. Our waifu needs a goddamn hug.
>>33728472put your hand on the glass."I won't. Not if I can do something about it."
>>33728518That'd be dumb man. If the psychotic Accelerator can drag up enough patience to wait a couple months to make his move, we can manage to wait a bit. I like to think we're a little more sane than him.
>>33728472We're gonna get out of here, ok? I'm not quite sure how just yet, but we WILL, and when we do we can settle up with your mom. For right now, tell her to hold off on the wedding plans or whatever, she can take it up with us once we bust out of here.
>>33728472Hand to the glass, brave smile, steady voice. "How can I refuse you. I wont go anywhere, I promise."
>>33728587Well, as it stands now, we really won't go anywhere.
>>33728472You placed your hand on her hand, the glass seperating them."Never" you said, while looking into her eyes.
>>33728574This isn't about making sense, anon. This is about your waifu.SHE'S CRYING, ANON.ARE YOU JUST GONNA SIT THERE AND LET IT HAPPEN?
>>33728472Put our hand on the glass opposite hers, give her a slight chuckle and say "Of course not."Keep it light, so she knows we're going to escape.Have they even put power dampeners on us? Technically we're officially Level 2, so they wouldn't need further restraints. And Oyafune gave us our hint for the time to escape. I assume we'll escape during transport and can get into the sewers by jumping off the highway and finding a man-hole.
>>33728472>Ask if she'd like to see France.Well then. Looks like we're running.
>>33728664If we do end up running, wouldn't hooking up with Teacher be our best bet? I was under the impression we were gonna start doing Dark Side work though.
>>33728472>"Was that a request from the Dictator? Well then, I guess I have no choice.
>>33728472security is lax during transport
>>33728733I thought we were escaping to do the dark-side work?
>>33728776we don't need to escape to join their suicide squad program.the insurance saleswoman is just nice (compared to the other directors anyway)we have to make a run for it.For Asuka...
>>33728776Well, yes, but my point was that we aren't leaving the city, as far as I know.
>>33728656Power dampeners wait until you're in the prison. Technically the prison itself is the power dampener. This is kind of suicide though. Especially if we go full retard and try to take Asuka with us. AC was willing to slaughter thousands of Americans civilians to make sure none of them got their hands on a single Esper. This is kind of a crap plan.
>>33728828I Thought the options were;A) Go to Jail, go directly to jail, do not pass go.B) Escape convoy to become Secret AgentC) Escape convoy and run away to Europe.I thought the main thing was to stay in AC for Asuka which would be option B)
>>33728776I was under the impression, that not fleeing would mean we are officially in the reformatory, while actually being outside and becoming part of the darkside.Running would mean fleeing from AC and the board, the info of 'lax security' was just her being nice and giving us a 'chance to refuse'.Would be nice if bored would unravel this mystery.
>>33728962>“That is a given,” she confirmed, “Officially you will be held permanently in solitary confinement. In actuality, we have thing we need you to do. You will have no name, you will have no record, and you will have no choice.”It seems pretty clear really.
>>33728921no, we go to "jail" and by jail I mean we do black ops shit for the rest of Kyril's life.>“That is a given,” she confirmed, “Officially you will be held permanently in solitary confinement. In actuality, we have thing we need you to do. You will have no name, you will have no record, and you will have no choice.”>She paused. Maybe she wanted to let it sink in but you had a feeling it was for something else.>“Are you saying I have a choice now,” you asked.>“Maybe you do, maybe you don’t. All I know that security is lax during transportation,” she smiled, “but that’s just between you and me.”its jason bourne it with Asuka and Teacher or we black ops bitch 4 lifeI'll take world tour with Teacher and waifu.
>>33728997Yet it seems to confuse several people.
>>33728776Time to go full on dark side. Use it to make sure nothing happens with Asuka. Due to Kyril rage
THIEF might cut all connections with us since we got caught, so the France job could be moot.
>>33729030But then there'd be no need for a "transport", they'd give us a holdout and take us there, not to the prison. Also I have a feeling we wouldn't end up in any group, and get shoved in to Hound-dogs, where they hate us for killing their bros. And we'd be doomed to die when they get orders to capture LO.
>>33729030Eh, I vote for dark side stuff. It's alot of fun in general. Also if we try to escape we'll just die.Besides, we won't be doing it forever. The opportunity will come around to break free of it at some point. >>33729122Hound Dogs aren't Espers. There's really no reason to not put us in a group.
>>33729122you have to actually go into the prison first for a brief bit before you can "go missing">>33729145and Black ops shit isn't dangerous?>The opportunity will come around to break free of it at some point. you mean during transport?
>>33729122Also Accelerator has never met LO, so he probably won't even get involved with them.
>>33729192>and Black ops shit isn't dangerous?Dangerous enough to most likely kill us, probably still less dangerous than us trying to escape AC.
>>33729145And? BLOCK only had one Esper who was there for Mind Reading if I recall.Besides we're too shitty to be any of the actually good groups. We're a thief who gets caught constantly, we fight people we either can steamroll or people we don't stand a chance against and have to rely on someone else, we'd be worthless to all the decent groups.
>>33729192Black Ops shit we actually have AC at our backs. We try to break out we're kind of fucked completely. Plus their general strategy is "Take ALL the hostages!"Opportunities come up down the line to get out of the dark side, it happens once Crowley's plans start going to shit (allegedly). The main issue is we're still in the part of the timeline where everything is all according to plan.We just gotta have faith anon.
If we black ops bitch, can we still see the waifu?
>>33729373Nope. She'd get married to someone else.
>>33729306>implying that the magic god bullshit isn't part of Crowley's keikakuHonestly I agree with you on doing the dark-side shit. Because leaving AC means we're going to inevitably end up doing magic-side shit instead. And that's more likely to get us killed.
>>33729373As long as we don't show our faces in public, probably. Though that endangers Asuka of course.Life as a black ops bitch isn't all bad. I mean it sucks, but you can still go out to eat and see movies and stuff.
if leaving AC is an auto death sentence, then why would the nice board of directors lady tell escape is possible?
>>33729413If we're with Teacher we probably wouldn't die, since he's probably around higher-Saint level. As long as we don't piss off someone like Ollerus, Fiamma, or Carissa, he could probably protect us.Of course the downside is that would make us a complete fucking load. Most Magicians would just rape us.
>>33729411Well fuuuuuck that shit, then. We bustin out of this hole.
>>33729489That would be an "official" escape to get recruited into whatever Dark Side group we would end up with.
It seems like either everybody is confused right now or Can't even.
>>33729489Because you can escape and not actually leave the city.
Theoretically speaking we could always find teacher as well. As long as there wasn't any risks of us being captured AC shouldn't do much.
>>33729413I think hiding in Teacher's shadow would be enough of a deterrent.
“Never,” you answered, “I’ll never leave.”The glass wasn’t thick but it might as well be a league of separation. You wished this once, that the glass was not there. To see her there, so close yet so far. She was afraid. You knew she didn’t want to lose you. The feeling was mutual. You didn’t want to lose her either. If only the glass was not there. You wanted to just reach out and hold her. The best you could do was to press on the glass, to match her.“I’ll never leave you,” you repeated.Yeah, you definitely refused to cry as well. One of you had to be brave after all.“After all,” you continued, “After all this is over, when I get out, want to go see France?”She blinked, softly smiling as her face glistened.“I did not think you were so desperate to see my undergarments,” she replied. You smiled as well. It looked like she was finally steadying herself.“But, I would not mind either.”You would have had a reply for that if you hadn’t caught the gaze of something frightening.“Dear?” Asuka seemed confused. Then she noticed the person standing behind her. The lens was opaque from the lighting. Her frown was deep. It was Aneue. Her hands reached for the glass, digging in and scratching the surface.“Torikov,” her voice was low.You swore she was growling. Asuka got out from under Aneue. She didn’t want to get between you and Aneue. You didn’t blame her.“I am so very disappointed in you, little brother.”Her nails made and ungodly sound as they traversed the surface.“Now, now, give Kyril a chance to explain,” a softer but sterner voice interrupted.Behind her stood Mum, who wasn’t exactly a condemning you just yet. However you knew that expression. Unyielding as it was when she caught you red-handed.“As you wish Shigenomori-san,” Aneue relented before turning back to you, “Well? We’re listening.”>Do you have any excuses for Mum? (write-in)
>>33729612It was a favor for a friend and we didn't expect the robot to handle quite so poorly.
>>33729612"I'm sorry but not really. No."
>>33729566The same Teacher that has no arms at the moment. He's not exactly a safe place to be. And also Mommy demon mask is clearly going to be a plot point, I want to be in the vicinity of anti-magic-hax Touma when it does.>>33729612"It's a 'Man's Romance' to pilot a giant robot, I did as any man would."
>>33729566>>33729558Yeah, but I just don't see a midtier esper dealing with with magic from now on to be fun.Even if we would become MUCH better(training with teacher and stuff) we would still have to hide in a corner and hope nobody hits us, when shit gets serious.
>>33729669I can't believe we lost all our shit over a one though.
>>33729612After the yelling and scolding, thank them for all they've done and giving a damn about us.
>>33729612Riding a robot through the city is a man's dream. I could not deny my calling.
>>33729693You know there's a 14 percent chance of rolling at least a single 1 in 3d20?I also find "destroy your life" an inordinate outcome
>>33729756Yeah, that's what I mean. Quests have crazy high crit chances.
>>33729693That's just how Bored runs, it's much easier on his part for him to fuck us over instead of actually trying to advance us.
>>33729693wrenloft's shit luck had to go somewhere with Cosgrove's stuff on hiatus
>>33729612I was trying to help a friend out, but I guess that doesn't make it any better.Thank you both for caring about me.
>>33729784There is not really any other way that could have been handled. We were in the middle of the street in a giant robot facing off against the police.Besides we're advancing, just not in the way you expected.
>>33729829>>33729645Stop being so melodramatic. They're gonna agonize over their raising of us if we don't pass it off as whimsy, whilst Aneue deserves it for being a bitch, we like Mum and won't want to hurt her by being sappy.
>>33729840I don't think one failure should have gotten us carted off to jail, maybe we lose the robot and have to fight to get away but completely fucking us over based on a single roll is pretty excessive.
Was there even a point in asking us who came to see us? I mean every option that Bored gave us, has come out to see us anyway.
>>33729940You don't like picking what you get to eat first at the buffet?
>>33729895It was not just one failure. It was a string of poor decisions and rolls that lead to the arrest. Had we not failed to maintain our levitation we could have continued driving the mech via the laptop and not been caught.
>>33729895How would we have fought? There was Anti-Skill over the whole area and we didn't even have a mask to conceal our identity.Even if we had managed to get away, we would have become wanted criminal instantly.
>>33729683Basically, yeah. Even most Level 5s are completely helpless against a good half of the magicians in this series.
>>33729895While I agree that a 14% chance to destroy your life is excessive, if we were at the point where we needed to fight to escape we're already fucked, since we'd be easily identified and picked up later, considering we did nothing to conceal our identity. The entire endeavor was dumb. There was no plan on what to do with this robot, Bored had to cover our ass with Gage calling to buy it.
>>33729683just like with Accel vs Touma?
>>33729970Not when all of the dishes are the same thing anyway. "You feel sad" "You dun goofed" "You're a bad person">>33730001Yes and no, most of the magicians would be fucked by a TKer, because they either have a focus which we could just remove, or because they wouldn't be able to understand SCIENCE. But yeah, some of them would fuck us up sideways
>>33730024If only we had succeeded we'd be rich.
>>33730133This is a bullshit argument. For our heists we're constantly planning shit out.In this case we didn't know we could sell it before we took it. We had no plan on how to escape with it. We have no experience piloting such a thing. We had no idea what we were doing. We were retarded, etc.It was a decision based on whimsy, and was a stupid one, but it's happened now, so we just have to deal with the consequences.
>>33730212Experience is just a word, given that AC has shit like Testament all over the place, and the plan was to steal it and ditch/destroy it somewhere before we got the offer. Plus, how often does the opportunity to emulate Gundam present itself?
>>33730212"everyone is retarded but me anon" we got caught because of a nat 1
>>33730087Most of the magicians in this series would just fuck us man. They'll either have the speed, power, durability, or plain hax to just end us. Or all of that. Even the focus thing doesn't really help, since they're either strong enough to prevent us from taking it, or they've turned themselves or something attached to them into their spiritual items. It kind of says something when even shit-tier Knights of England move at 20x human speed, shrug off getting stomped on by a giant stone golem, and freaking swim from England to Japan in full plate. Even anti-impact spells, AoE mindfucks, and no-save curses are baby tier stuff.
Can we keep the metagaming to a minimum until we're more clear on what's going to happen?
>>33730292And the nat 1 was devastating yes, but it was in a scenario where failure would fuck us up big-time, if we'd rolled a nat 1 stealing papers we're just get caught and thrown out, maybe traced back to Naka, we wouldn't be stranded having to suck AC dick for the rest of our lives.>>33730317Magicians we could beat; Tsuchimikado, Stiyl, Pretty much all of the Japanese magicians, Oriana, Eztali (before he gets his grimoires), Lessar, Agnese, Angelene, Sigyn, Lucia, Stiyl's three apprentices, and probably quite a few more if I could be bothered to look through them all. Yes, we'd get steamrolled by the BBEGs, but you're seriously underestimating what we could potentially do.
>>33730511if you don't want to suck AC, then vote not to.we actually do get a choice
>>33730511I didn't actually vote for stealing it, but anybody who didn't already know it was going to happen is a fucking idiot. That goes for Bored too.
>>33730551So are you saying Bored is an idiot for first doing exactly what we voted for and then rolling our further choice in a tiebreaker, or what?
>>33730551>The curse of the Nat 1sNot the worst luck I've seen in a quest but pretty close lately.
>>33730666Anons get saucy when things go awry.
>>33730666I think what he's trying to say is that Bored should have seen it coming as soon as he gave us the option, though I don't see what that has to do with anything.
>>33730666No, I'm saying that if you had complaints you should have posted them when it happened, and you should also be aware that as soon as Bored put up the option, it was essentially guaranteed that people would take it.
>>33730666I assume he's more saying that If you're given options and one of them is a shiny treasure chest, and the others are root vegetables, it's going to be obvious which people are going to choose.
>>33730709Yeah, let's just all calm down a bit and see what happens next.
>>33730709I know I was kind of pissed for a bit there. Then I realized this is immensely entertaining so I'm not so annoyed that nat 1 fucked Kyril up.
>>33730727Ah, okay. I just misunderstood it a bit then. But yeah, it was also a tiebreaker, so it was shitty luck too.
>>33730511Any Amakusa would kill us pretty handily, given their defensive shit can keep them alive against a Saint's strike for a short time. We don't actually possess the means to hurt them, and they can certainly hurt us.Stiyl would pretty much depend on if he's fighting us like a dumbass, or if he actually uses his brain like against Brave and Index.Tsuchi can't actually use magic, so i'm not sure why he was brought up. We can't actually even notice Oriana if she doesn't want us to.Most of the rest of them are either literally the weakest magicians in the series or actually have no combat abilities to speak of. I mean seriously, Sigyn?
>>33730750I think that's the problem atm, we're all waiting to see how it pans out, but we're just getting moaned and and guilt-tripped by our friends and loved ones, which just makes the result feel worse.
>>33730831And that is why people find the situation so ridiculous. It was a foregone conclusion, and everybody knew it, so the specifics are not important. Which means it was a generic 15 % chance for the character to get completely fucked.
Bored said it himself that we could have gotten away with stealing the robot and got loadsa money. We just got fucked by the dice. Don't go blaming other anons.
“Well I was doing it for a friend and I always wanted to pilots a giant robot,” you started whimsically.Mum didn’t buy it.“No, no I don’t really have any excuses,” you finished quickly.“This isn’t why we’re here though,” Mum finally said, “I don’t know how you did it, or who knew but I think adopting a little girl is a bit much, even for you.”Was she talking about Last Order?“I believe her name was Mishka Torikov,” Mum confirmed, “In any case you know I wouldn’t have any trouble with her. There was no need to hide her.”“It’s complicated,” you replied.“It always is, isn’t it?” she drew herself up, “Don’t underestimate me. Your mother left you with us after all.”Aneue seemed to shift uncomfortably at that. How curious.“Shigenomori-san.”“Ah right,” Mum caught herself, “In any case that was all I had to say. I’ll be waiting for you at home.”She left as silently as she had come. Aneue gave you one last look, as if ordering you to behave, before she too left. That left you and Asuka, who had kept silent during the whole affair. She was as perplexed as you were. You wondered if there were going to be more visitors because honestly, all of them didn’t make you feel any better. Then Sagara and the lads walked in. They had smiles on their faces.“So what now O Fearless Leader?” Sagara started.“I’ve not had a good day Sagara,” you sighed tiredly. He seemed to gesture at something nearly imperceptibly and Tadakuni broke away in that direction. Then he just stood here. Kyouksuke however was barely in your field of view. He was down the corridor.“Should be fine now,” Sagara double checked.“Oh this is going to be good,” Asuka commented.“It is,” he replied, “What would you say if I told you we had a way out of the city?”>”I’m listening”>”This is a bad idea”>”(write-in)”
>>33730919>”This is a bad idea”I'm all for dark-side antics.
>>33730919>This is a bad ideaLet's not turn everyone we know and love into targets now. That's poor manners in general.
>>33730919>>”I’m listening”They seem a lot more confident than I expected.
>>33730908>loadsa moneyDepending on how many billions he was talking about which I assume to be around 2-3.Around 60-90 million USD.
>>33730919>”I’m listening”we can at least hear them out
>>33730919>”I’m listening”There is no way that this can go wrong.
>>33730919>”This is a bad idea”>”(write-in)”"Haha, sorry guys, I've already made a deal with the devil, best not fuck you up before I get my reward for selling my soul."
>>33730919>”I’m listening”Probably better than being a Dark Side bitch at any rate.
>>33730919>>”This is a bad idea”Don't forget, the board kind of promised protection for our loved ones. And as long as we don't take all if the people we want to protect with us they are going to get trouble if we make a run for it.
>>33730919>>”I’m listening”Lets hear them out first. If the idea is retarded we can always say no.
>>33730919>”I’m listening”All we're promising to do is listen, it's not like we have to take them up on it.
I hope they managed to save the C4.
>>33730919>”This is a bad idea”I can feel it in my bones
>>33730919I hope this plan includes getting LO, I'm not ready to abandon her to Kaoru just yet.
>>33731031And if we try and take Last Order with us, we're gonna die. Our odds of success drop below 0 and somehow have us fail more than is physically possible.
>>33730919>”I’m listening”C4 plus powers plus who knows what else. What the hell are they planning?
>>33731106>>33731108I'm pretty sure we could get Kyouko. She's not actually attached to Academy City, so all we have to do is convince her.
Dark-side - We can eventually come back once we've got dirt, been useful enough.Escape - Magicians. Magicians everywhere. Manhunter squads, Running and constant misery.>>33731134Kyouko won't leave because there are magicians outside.
>>33730919>”This is a bad idea”
>>33731134Kyouko is busy freaking out because of body swap shenanigans.
>>33731108I was just talking from Kyrils view, trying to keep the meta down.
>>33731134With the amount of people we're trying to take with us, Im starting to think it would be safer to try and take Crowley with us.
>>33731164Assuming we don't just get capped while doing bitch work. I think we can make it just fine on the outside, to be honest. Why the hell would we be picking fights with magicians anyway?
>>33731207Because either we try to go it ourselves, and AC hunts us down in about 5 seconds, or we beg Teacher to protect us, and he's not going to stop doing his work just because we have to tag along.
>>33731202You know, I bet the Windowless Building has engines or some sort of propulsion mechanism just in case. Road trip?
>>33731184Should be finished by now if 24 hours have passed. Have we stopped seeing green everywhere? >>33731207>forgetting the magicians were hunting our mother.>forgetting the magicians hunted and killed our father.>forgetting magicians are fucking mental.
>>33731202Well, he is the boss man, so nobody would actually stop us.
>>33731188Even from his point of view. Last order is the linchpin of the network so he should realize he will get a cap in his ass if he tries.
>>33731207Because the most logical course of action would be looking for teacher. And there are enough magicians who want to see him dead.
>>33731202>>33731245And we already know who has cocaine.
>>33731237So we would be fighting magicians with Teacher's and quite possibly Asuka's help then, in which case I'm pretty optimistic about our chances.
>>33730919>”This is a bad idea”Let's not drag everyone down with us. We can always bail out of town later while working with the Dark Side. From here we can keep an eye on LO when shit goes down. I also don't want to miss out on the chance to become friends with Hamazura.
>>33731273More importantly, there are enough magicians who want to see us dead.
>>33731281Oh sure, we'd survive with Teacher protecting us as long as no one in the high tiers comes along. We'd also be a load and it'd be awful and boring.
>>33731259Funny enough this is true. No would would actually try and stop us from taking Crowley because Crowley does what Crowley wants. So if he doesn't want to he won't. If he does then anyone that tries to stop Kyril is going to die.
>>33731310Did I miss something? I can't recall us really pissing of magicians.
>>33731310We haven't pissed off that many have we?
>>33730919>”This is a bad idea”>...>...>"I'm listening"

>>33731320I'm sure we could help, we wouldn't be anywhere near top-tier but we could be a cool sidekick at least.
>>33731328Technically he could come with us and still stay in his tower. Near-omnipresence is a fun trick.>Taking Crowley around the world trying to pick up chicks with him
>>33731368Haha, it's funny because it's true.
>>33731358>>33731349Well, magicians killed our parents, I'm not sure if they still want to kill us, but I don't want to take any risks.
>>33731398Would he still be upside-down?>>33731383We don't actually know what our inheritance will do yet, so that could help.
>>33731407Magicians kill lots of people. Doesn't mean we're on their shit list.Hell, Maria kills a person whenever she wants a new chair. Magicians aren't the most stable bunch.
>>33731349>>33731358Well we got two magicians killed through our association with Teacher, so they'd hate us. Our parents were hunted by Annihilatus, and we were left in AC so they wouldn't kill us. Also in a few weeks time the Roman Catholics are gonna go full on war mode with AC, and by association every esper.
>>33731421No, but I'm pretty sure he'll show up on the magician radar. Have fun fighting every single magician in the world.
>>33731446Wouldn't the war be a good reason to get as far away from AC as possible?
>>33731434Yes. That's exactly what I'm trying to prevent.>"Hey we found the son of that couple we killed.">...>"Best not take any risks."
>>33731494It means we're an enemy with no protection.
>>33731494The impenetrable AC, or deep in enemy territory?
>>33731421Sure he will. Any direction is a Crowley direction.>>33731446The Roman Catholics would have to send Fiamma or Acqua to get through Teacher, and I doubt either one of them wants to spare the effort to kill some level 2.>>33731494Nah. AC makes it through the war fine. Vento only made it as far as she did because her magic makes it near-fundamentally impossible for anyone to hurt her.
>>33731518The central battlefield or some forgotten corner where nobody short of Fiamma could take us down?
We don't HAVE to go along with whatever the plan is. Also we should inform them of the risks involved.
>>33731536Or sometime we get separated from Teacher, or he's busy saving the world. Making our entire choice be dependent on one man, who may not even be that keen for us to hang around him for the rest of our lives, is a bad idea. Vento also got through because Crowley wanted to try out his new Angel toy.
Doesn't Touma go on vacation in Europe or something later?
>>33731576It should be said that a lot of Western cities had Anti-AC demonstrations due to catholic shenanigans, so it's not too safe there either.
>>33731609True.AC may be run by shitty people, but they do a damn good job of making sure no outside force hurts them. As far as AC is concerned, only they're allowed to brutally murder their citizens.>>33731640Yeah, but that was due to the Church mind-controlling most of the world's population. Once AC bombs France it all settles down.
>>33731635He spends 1 Day in Italy, then back to AC, then He goes to France for a bit, then to England, to deal with princess civil war, and then to Russia, to stop Fiamma. He's going to be pretty busy.
>>33731676Touma is a pretty busy guy.The entire series so far takes place within a 5 month period.
“Alright, I’ll listen, but only because we’re friends,” you shook your head.“Right,” he grinned wider, “Anyway, a little bird told me that you were going to be moved to a more secure facility later this evening. So me and the boys were thinking that we could bust you out, take our chances with the outside world. Between the three of us, we had enough money to get some equipment and scare up some transport out the city.”“You’re being really vague with the details here man,” you replied.“Well that’s because we still have to figure out the best way out the city,” he answered, “I mean planes are easy to bring down, but trains are slower and Japan’s an island. Don’t get me started on a road trip.”“So basically we escape by train then,” you concluded.“That’s why you’re the boss,” Sagara chuckled.“You know this is a bad idea right?”“Could be worse,” he replied, “Besides, I kinda wanted to see the world you know?”“You just want to see Nunotaba again,” you pointed out.“No,” he denied it swiftly, “Besides, she’s only going to help us switch transports. She does owe you a favour. Besides I’m pretty sure you could survive a rocket attack.”You blinked at that.“You’re going to shoot my transport with a rocket?”“Uh, no,” this denial was slower, “Listen we just gotta stop your convoy and open the door. It’s what Toulour said anyway.”“Toulour?” you repeated, “Did he put you up to this?”“No, but we went to him for some help,” he admitted, “I mean you’re the one who always comes up with a plan so if we’re going to do this, it’s because you want to.”You sighed.>”No, this plan is stupid and I’m not leaving” (Stay in AC)>”Alright, here’s how we’re going to do it” (Attempt escape)

>>33731916>”No, this plan is stupid and I’m not leaving” (Stay in AC)Leaving would be a great way for us to get killed by AC black ops and for everyone we care about to get kidnapped.
>>33731916>”Alright, here’s how we’re going to do it” (Attempt escape)2nd chances aren't guaranteed
>>33732001It's selfish to leave honestly. If we leave anyone we care about behind, they are now hostages that they can do whatever they want to until we return.Plus this escape attempt has an extremely low chance of success. Our friends could die. We can still keep them from getting caught up in all this.
>>33731916>”No, this plan is stupid and I’m not leaving”As long as we stay in AC we can fix things, If we leave, we're never coming back.

Fuck. We going to escape and fuck up everything. GJ. >>33732284The nat 1 mecha at least had a chance of working out, but fucking over AC must be the dumbest plan ever devised.
>>33732311Probably a shit-ton, it tends to happen over critical votes like this. Such is life in a quest.
>>33732300It's pride that's doing us in here.Jesus christ, even Accelerator can swallow his pride and work for these bastards to protect the people he cares about, because he knows it's better than trying to fight or run.Are we literally more insane than Accelerator?
>>33732311Probably a lot. Tends to happen when big decisions happen. I will stand by the idea that this is a fucking terrible plan. But not like I can change anything.
>>33732342>More insaneDoubtful>More stupidApparently
>>33732342Is /tg/ more insane than Accelerator... was that ever in doubt?
If we are escaping,, shouldn't we use that hint insurance lady gave us?
>>33732347It's even less about how terrible the plan is, and more that this is a terrible direction to take this Quest.People are jumping at this option because "Muh Freedom" without understanding the implications of what we're doing. Not just to ourselves, but to who we care about.
>>33732300No, we're fine as long as we don't fuck the 4th ranked Level 5 over. That's not slavery. >>33732388Well it's both a terrible plan and direction. I wouldn't mind exciting adventures with magic. But we don't even have that as a hook, it's literally spending the rest of our miserable lives hiding behind Teacher.
>>3373243719-16 in favor of the Retard decision. Great.Bye AC. Hello shitty Magic Side adventures I guess.
>>33732441Hiding behind Teacher is the same thing as exciting adventures and magic, though.
>>33732437Looks like we're going for it. First things first, how do we get in contact with Asuka?
>>33732476we have her cell number don't we?
>>33732470No, it's us going "Eeeeh, protect me!" because most of the magicians in this verse can turn us inside out.

>>33732437Wonderful. We're fucked. Oh well maybe we can fail to escape, but not so badly that it fucks up everything forever.>>33732470No exciting adventures with magic would be us dealing with low-level magicians like Agnese, trying to find the holy stick of truth or something.
>>33732516My bad, I thought she left and then everyone else came in. That's step one out of the way then. What's step two?
Bored please, you really should leave this to a final destination vote.
Do you guys not remember what happened with the Vampire? That's the shit teacher deals with. We're going to stand around, get mutilated and lose our eyebrows again. There is literally no upside to escaping.
>>33732437Wow that's just fucking great
the most toxic part of a playerbase is the "everyone is retarded but me" anon. But please understand, they do this out of their love and passion for the story/character(s) etc, passion which is only rivaled by their narrowmindedness on how the events can unfold, ways the character grows or develops, etc.Give them ample time and they will calm down and get back to what's most important having fun!
>>33732594We had no idea what we were in for then, now we know better. And the upside is that we don't get press-ganged into one of the various Dark Side groups.
>>33732558Designing an ambush. We need the route our convoy will take, a roadblock, bust our doors open, escape and get out af AC fast. Automatic suppressive fire during the ambush should be given.
>>33732614But Magic Side adventures won't be fun anon. They're just going to suck. We've basically got to spend the rest of our lives around someone vastly more powerful than us who we'll be useless around, or we're dead.
You all need to settle down. Shit is going to be entertaining no matter where the action is taking place.
>>33732641>We've basically got to spend the rest of our lives around someone vastly more powerful than us who we'll be useless around, or we're dead.we're not breaking up with Asuka
>>33732614Actually what usually happens is half the player base leaves cause they're pissed off, and the quest dies from inactivity and no-votes.Again this is pretty much always happens in a quest. What's more amazing is that it's agonizing over a plot direction and not which waifu to hold hands with.
>>33732641We won't be useless, good application of our powers could catch a lot of magicians by surprise if they aren't expecting an esper.
>>33732670How long do you think coward Kyril is going to keep her interested? She's only interested in us for shenanigans. We're going to be NTRed by Teacher. GJ!
>>33732614I really can't se how hiding in someones shadow for the rest of the quest>Implying we surviveIs going to be funTeacher is a powerful as magician and armless one at that too how the fuck is a comparatively low level scrub like us going to survive? Not to mention all the people we are leaving behind to get fucked over by AC?
>>33732633>And the upside is that we don't get press-ganged into one of the various Dark Side groups. That would probably turned out pretty badass.I have my doubts about de facto erasing the science side from our quest, we are a part of the science side.
>>33732676Freaking Lessar basically has a better version of our power and other abilities besides. And she's basically the shittiest of the shittiest. This is not going to be a good ride.
>>33732672because Bored had the foresight to give us best girl from the get go.Its a refreshing change of pace from waifu wars or powerbuy sperging, for me at least.
>>33732703Now you are just trying to stir shit up by ignoring the whole exchange between the two earlier in this thread.
>>33732710The science side will still be present I think, just not in the same force. Who knows, maybe we'll have to dodge the occasional hit-squad or reclamation team.>>33732703What's to say there won't be tons of shenanigans on the magic side?
>>33732710Okay, we just have to roll bad dice while trying to escape, so we won't be able to flee. Then we just say we had no idea of the plan and voilá we are on the good road again.
>>33732761Man, I don't think you understand what we're up against here. They have Kill-Sats with pinpoint accuracy. An AC plane can drop a bomb with a margin of error of 7 fucking millimeters. They can literally kill us from orbit or high-alititude in the middle of a busy city, and no one would notice. Or hell, they might not care if they're noticed or not and just nuke the whole city. They've done worse for less.
>>33732766Seriously? No way in hell is that gonna fly, if the Board knows anything about us at all they'll know we were the brains of the operation and once the escape attempt starts we're in it to win it.
>>33732743But we've not even met the Queen.
>>33732842We're only officially a level 2, I don't think Crowley is sufficiently bored that he would waste those kinds of resources on us.
>>33732766I don't think a bad roll during this is going to let us survive.>>33732761I don't think the occasional guys on our level trying to kill us qualifies as 'science side', when we are probably never setting a food back in AC. Without AC there basically is no 'science side'.
>>33732869We're taking a level 4 with us apparently. That's actually important.
>>33732842The question is will they? Kyril hasn't done jack shit to warrant such a reaction from AC other than piss off the Accelerator, and even then Touma is in it much deeper than him.
>>33732848But we really weren't the brains of the operation this time. Anyways, it's not like I can plan for good or bad rolls, so I just have to hope.
>>33732886Uh we stole and broke an experimental giant robot, will be escaping from a prison transport and causing significant damage with it, have delicious esper brains other countries will want to examine, and are stealing a useful level 4.
>>33732886We are pissing them off by escaping. Not only from the board wanting to use us, but also taking several espers, one of them a level 4, with us. That's a huge fucking deal to AC.
>>33732437This is going to be amazing. Time to go full international thief and pray to god AC doesn't drop a couple of bombs on our head.
>>33732886It's not really about Kyril. They can't allow Espers to wander around for fear of someone getting the secrets of Esper development from their bodies.AC inspection on the way out is so stringent they don't let you take anything at all that could carry the slightest bit of DNA, everything is sterilized. There was a huge scandal over a fucking paper cup once if I remember right. They're a little paranoid.
>>33732901Sagara straight-up told us that it wasn't gonna happen without our approval, I think that's close enough for AC.
So why are we trying to escape?
>>33733002Shortly before we get killed.
>>33733002We're apparently an idiot.
>>33733002because AC will own our ass lock, stock and barrel with no chance of parole and I don't think we'd be allowed to see the waifu
>>33733002Because we apparently want to be free to make our own decisions, even if they fuck over everyone we love and care about. Also we're not very smart it seems.
>>33733002Have you not been paying attention for the past hour or two? We were torn between escape and be a black ops bitch, and escape won because most of us don't want to do that.
“Your plan is shite mate,” you retorted, “I’ve literally just heard your plan and I already have a better one.”“I agree,” Asuka added. That elicited a smile from Sagara.“Get Asuka access to the guards,” you instructed, “We hypnotise them to follow the route we want. Get them as close as possible before being discovered. We need a driver to shadow the convoy so I can hop aboard as soon as the gig is up. The rest of you need to get Mishka, and maybe Kyouko if she wants to come with us, meet up at the exit and bust out from there. If you have some stuff, you could engineer a distraction on the other side of town. With a big enough incident we can use that to cover the escape.”“That’s why you’re the boss,” he nodded, “I can set that up. What after we get out of the city?”“Call in that favour from Nunotaba, we’ll have to give them false leads at least, hell maybe even split up if we have to,” you continued, “After that, we’re probably going to have to Sweden. I know a guy that could help.”“That would be Teacher, am I correct?” Asuka enquired, “But escaping the city would come first at any rate. This feels exciting.”“Not for the wrong reasons I hope,” Sagara turned, “You don’t have any problems with this right?”“Of course not,” she answered, “Besides it would kill two birds with one stone. One, I get out of my arranged marriage, and two I elope, which is sure to annoy my father.”Sagara turned to you. You shrugged, silently hoping you didn't forget anything.>Modify plan (write-in)>You’re good to go
>>33732672>Actually what usually happens is half the player base leaves cause they're pissed offjudging from posts, I think this will not be a problem
>>33733046Who are we fucking over? LO is safe with Sparky and everyone else is gonna be along for the ride.
>>33733046Sure you could.Dark side members can do whatever when they're not doing shit. They go to restaurants, movies, amusement parks. They're just also constantly on the verge of death.
>>33733063>>You’re good to go
>>33733048I'm hella late and I have but I don't understand the thought process. I mean people have been usimg Meta this whole quest and should know the type of shit AC would do to stop atleast 5 espers and a level 4 from escaping right? Not to mention fucking with the people we're leaving behind
>>33733063>You’re good to gounless we can finagle it so we can get our photo of mommy or her gun, I'm fine with this
>>33732935>one of them a level 4.Pls tell me we aren't taking Asuka. If Kyril takes Asuka we can only pray that this is a part of Crowley's keikaku.
>>33733063>Modify plan (write-in)Bringing Mishka is a BAD idea, that would guarantee the full wrath of AC would fall upon us. Unless we can get the entirety of the network to back us up, we would have to leave her. The rest looks solid though.
>>33733063>We're taking MishkaWe've gone full retard. If this somehow works Crowley will literally come out of his tube and murder us.
>>33733063>You’re good to go>"The rest of you need to get Mishka"Oh shit
>>33733002The choice is between being the city's bitch and fleeing the city. Some people have decided to say fuck AC.
>>33733063>Modify plan (write-in)We have to leave Mishka, it sucks but there's no way we can get her out with us and stay gone.
>>33733120what isn't part of Crowley's keikaku?
>>33733063>You're good to goFuck it, we're doing this. Also please don't meta too hard guys. Think about what Kyril knows, not what you know.
It's sad, I just caught up on the archives, but if Anon is going to be this consistently retarded, I'm gonna have to drop this again.
>>33733063>>You’re good to goAnd for Christ sake, stop the damn metagaming.
>>33733115I'd rather go off on magical adventures than be AC's bitch as part of a dark side group, and I'm reasonably sure that we can evade the cops even with Asuka. Bringing along Mishka is a whole different level of problem though.
>>33733158We can't even get her out.Underline is bullshit, but Crowley may be willing to let us go for unknown reasons. If he sees us taking LO, we are dead. We'll have Six Wings and Powered Suits and probably goddamn Kakine and Mugino after us.
>>33733063>Modify plan (write-in)... Can we modify it so much we don't do it?But really. >You’re good to go>>33733081She'll get kidnapped and confined to a test-tube forever. Our orphanage will have all it's funding cut. Our teachers will be fired for failing to raise us properly. Nakazawa's life is essentially over.>>33733148The choice is being the bitch for a few months and getting the relevant dirt to protect people, or running away like a little bitch.
>>33733063>>You’re good to goSure. Let's do this stupid thing.
>>33733063>You’re good to goWe now have at least one family of mages after our ass. I look forward to the encounters.
>>33733115>Using meta Apparently the meta wasn't enough for people to realize how dumb this is and the risk and danger we're putting on our friends.
>>33733063we should probably find a way to contact teacher other than that I can't think of anything else to add. Maybe square things with Toulour so we can have a away to contact him for emergencies while we romp about the world. Maybe leave a notice for the Toumans just cause. Same with Kaoru, maybe see about leaving in an extra gift for her, I kinda feel bad leaving her behind somewhat.
>>33733127Can we do that? Bring the network in on this somehow? It sounds retarded, but given how far across the line we already are it almost seems plausible by comparison.
>>33733246You don't even need Meta to realize this is retarded. No one seems to have asked themselves in-Quest "If breaking out of AC is possible, why has no Esper ever done it?"
>>33733195Getting dirt means squat when you have no way of using it.
>>33733271How would they know no Esper has done it? Tons of people could have done it and be living outside RIGHT NOW for all we know.
>>33733246Even without the meta it's fairly obvious that leaving is stupid. Some shadowy woman pretty much told us we could be cleared of all our crimes if we worked for her. We've also seen what they do when someone does something they dislike (Hound-Dogs + Nunotoba). If we're going for a retarded plan we better go full retard. We're taking Miskha.
>>33733063>You’re good to gono complaints
>>33733185>copsThis plan would mean becoming AC's primary HVT.We would probably get several level 5s on our ass.
>>33733261No.For one thing if we try I can't even process how fast we'll be murdered. For another thing, it's been made clear in canon that the Sisters can't possibly survive without AC's support, and if they left they'd certainly die both from the lack of support, and from every other organization in the world grabbing them and cutting them up.It's one of the reasons Accelerator refused to leave. Because he's smarter than us apparently.
>>33733271If anyone HAD done it, a cover-up would be first priority.
>>33733322Again why would AC give a damn about us escaping other than taking some espers out of the city? That in itself doesn't warrant such a reaction.
>>33733345Because we're a bunch of rogue espers. The fact that we went through the program at all is what matters.
>>33733345It really, really does.It was said earlier in the thread, but i'll say it again. AC was willing to bomb the shit out of an American island, murder hundreds Espers on it, and a crapload of American citizens, just to prevent America from ever getting their hands on a single Esper.
>>33733345They are REALLY paranoid about anyone else duplicating the Kihara Process or whatever it's called that grants esper powers, although I agree that they probably won't send level 5s after us.
>>33733345Hamazura and Takitsubo got hunted down; and that pair's just a 0 and a 4. A fucking 0.
>>33733345That's like asking, why it would matter to the US if you smuggled a few nuclear warheads out of the city.
I hope the butthurt stops soon. What part of the world should we flee to? Teacher won't be in Sweeden till September IIRC.maybe Paris, a nice quiet vacation with the waifu?
It's like you guys don't trust Bored to give us a chance to get through this 100% successfuly. Before the dice fuck us over again, that is.
>>33733345They've bombed down entire Islands and shot people for less.Though personally I get the sense that if we did leave all it would lead to is the old women using that one contact method to offer jobs out of AC.Mean normally it shouldn't be so lightly defended to start with so I get the idea no matter what we do here AC planned it.
If we die, can we play as Yuriko?Just label the next thread as>A Certain Acadamy City Quest: Yuriko 1and carry on?

>>33733501>Take her with youAs much as I loathe the idea, I think we need to do it. Accel won't be around to help her like he's supposed to, but Teacher could help with that. They can't replace her as control if she's still alive, so we will definitely be hunted harder. That means we'll get WORST if we're not dumb about this.
>>33733639I mean, we're trying to take LO with us.Crowley already knew about everything we're doing, but now he's going to care.Every route out of the city is now closed. Helicopters faster than F-22s and stupid powerful powered armor is now on our ass.We were already fucked, so we might as well make it complete.
>>33733639Stealth was never an option. That C4 will find its purpose in life yet.
>>33733622>>33733624Let's grab Gunha too. It'll be hilarious.
>>33733674Sparky and Touma could probably handle it. Touma touching her head restarts the countdown, so he'd just have to pat her head once or twice a day. And Sparky can probably pull of the same trick as Accel. We're not going to get out of the city with LO anyways, it's functionally impossible.
>>33733701We're certainly stupid enough to bro it up with Gunha.
>>33733501should I label 56 part 1 or will the next one be 57?
>>33733739Part 1. When we hit page 10 I'll start a new thread.
Look on the bright side guys; If we die or actually get incarcerated, maybe we can continue playing as r63 Accelerator.
>>33733701>>33733720Fuck, now I want to abandon everything and have GUTS adventures with Gunha.
I hope Sparky stop us from taking LO with us
>>33733765I wouldn't mind that in the least.See if we can't take her from Lv0 scrub to Lv5 Badass
>>33733765We die or get incarcerated, Asuka kills herself, and we continue the quest as a Problem Children quest after she wakes up in the real world.
>>33733765I-I... I wouldn't be averse to this.
>>33733674>WorstWe are going to get raped so hard and not the good kind.
>>33733765Haha no. She will remain trapped within the interludes until the end.
>>33733765I would actually like that. It has potential for some comedic suffering. There's some really big laugh potential in how Accel wanted to start learning martial arts.
>>33733765I like the idea
>>33733765I don't want to die, but that would take some of the sting out of it.
To be honest, if we try to take LO with us and survive, it will destroy my suspension of disbelief.
>>33733921I think most of us have given up on surviving.
>>33733821I'm pretty sure it was something closer to "How to avoid attacks in case they null my bullshit."Less karate more just knowing how to get out of the way.
>>33733921We don't need suspension of disbelief where we're going.
>>33733921Who needs suspension of disbelief when you have GUTS?
>>33733921There is a slight possibility they'll just capture us and throw us into the Reformatory. It depends entirely on if they consider us useful enough to keep.At least we're not a level 0.>“Mugino Shizuri and Takitsubo Rikou will be immediately recovered. As for Hamazura Shiage, that is where things get a bit tricky…well, he just doesn’t fit the same conditions. There is a relationship there that could give him value as a hostage for Takitsubo, but Takitsubo Rikou does not have much in the way of physical ability, so mental restraints are not really necessary. We can just isolate her in a concrete room to do research on her. If we need to force her to do something, imbedding tiny balloons in her brain and then repeatedly applying pressure and relaxation to the cerebral cortex by remote control will suffice.”
>>33733981We decided to run away, we don't have GUTS and we're never going to meet GUTS
Guy's, you seem to forget that we've changed canon on more than one occasion. We can do this.
>>33734006I don't want to do this.
>>33734017I know, you won't shut up about it.
>>33734006This is way beyond anything we've ever attempted before, though. I think there's a chance, but it's not a very good one.
>>33734006This is not about changing canon or not. This is about absolutely fucking with the canon and getting killed for it.
Shit, what about out books? I don't think we will be able to read them in Swedish...
>>33734006>>33734017>>33734032>>33734048Also honestly, Dark side adventures are always more interesting than Magic side adventures, with a few exceptions.
>>33734071I'm sure we can find translations or a translator somewhere.
>>33734071>We will never finish the last 3 hours of MMM
>>33734071We just have to torrent them.
>>33734079That's a very subjective argument, and even if it were a given I would say that we would likely be lined up for those exceptions given all the shit that's gonna go down over the next few months.
>>33734071Ask our buddies to pick up a copy. They've got money to spare on a couple textbooks. Hell, have them pick up a few for themselves to improve with.
I'm sad that we'll never see Fuse=KAZAKIRI now.
>>33734071Getting books in japanese might be hard, anywhere we go.
>>33734071We're never going to finish them. Even if we do learn Swedish, the rest of the world is 20 years behind, and that means the contents of the books probably hasn't been published outside of AC. Also that's point 2 we're going to be spending our lives in pretty much the dark ages. "What do you mean getting shot doesn't get healed in 5 min by a frog-man!"
>>33734135>Jesus Christ all your phones are so shitty>Your guns can't punch through steel plate? Are you cavemen?>You hire people to clean your streets? Why not just use robots? Not that we're going to make it that far, given we're trying to steal Crowley's lynchpin.
>>33734135For healing we are going to have magic, not this silly doctor stuff.
>>33734166>magic>frog manwhat's the difference?
Has Kyril lived his life correctly?
>>33734131>No Fuse=KAZAKIRI>Vento fight gets tricky; many casualties to say the least>No Stiyl backup for Tatemiya>No Stiyl backup for Orianna>No Stiyl fighting Pendex>(possibly) No Angelcelerrator>No Fuse x Accel vs Gabriel>Gabriel running rampant during WW3I'm not sure how to feel about this.
>>33734159People have dealt with not living in AC. We can do the same.
>>33734166Ok then i'll carry on with >>33734159>What do you mean your food isn't bio-organically modified to maximize your growth, whilst stopping heart disease.>Why are your vidya so dull and basic? Where's the VR head-sets?>I don't understand, why are your clothes so heavy and unrefined?>Man it must be expensive hiring policemen to patrol streets, where are all the robots.>>33734234We got Stiyl killed already, so some of those things wouldn't have happened anyway.
>>33734234KyrilpocalypseThe end is nigh.
>>33734234Touma can handle most of those without Stiyl.Fuse=Kazakiri will still happen, since there's honestly no way Crowley is going to be separated from LO by us of all people
>>33734233He understands Asuka and the rest of the PC. It's LO we don't know yet.
Doesn't the magic god lady destroy everything anyway?
Also no LO to bug Accel to destroy the pillar so Endymion kills everyone in the world.
I like how everyone is assuming Mum is going to let us take LO. Forget Crowley, she isn't going to condone this.
>>33734300She fixes it afterwards.
>>33734300Yeah, but Touma convinces her to put it all back the way it was, at the price of a world of happiness for everyone.
>>33734317>implying anyone will ask her
>>33734325Touma's a dick
>>33734352A bigger problem would be Sparky. She might be in the area to mess with the LO-napping.
>>33734317Wait, isn't Touma back by now? Oh man, he definitely won't condone this.
>>33734354Touma's a villain.
>>33734398He's just a man.
>>33734354>>33734398>Wanting Touma to kill himself after horrifically dying billions of times all by himselfHow cruel of you.
>>33734386>>33734390Honestly, that might be our best bet at escaping: everyone is trying to stop us for different reasons and end up cancelling each other out while we flee in the resulting chaos.
>>33734428I was calling bullshit so much during the Touhou scene. God damn Touhou.
>>33734300>>33734325>Yfw this quest is one of the worlds that Othinus made
>>33734453And we lose LO to Sparky in the process, thereby preventing us from getting kill by satellite. Also, who has our mom's gun? Kaoru?
speaking of Mama Torikov, is she dead dead or just undead dead?
Is this okay?
Who want's to be that we're playing into the plans of someboody higher up by doing this, and that they'll make the barest minimum effort to stop us?
>>33734546She's done. I think it was Asuka's uncle.
With a wave, Tadakuni moved over to you and Sagara moved away. It looked you were taking turns talking to each other. You it was probably to throw off suspicion. Tadakuni didn’t really have much to say. Neither did Kyousuke. At least you now knew that Nakazawa’s project went up a few spots in the rankings. Better than nothing you supposed. Once your friends left, the lights dimmed. You sat in your cell for hours. The only break in it was dinner. The green soy-based dish wasn’t terrible, even if it was kind of tasteless. Eventually though, they came for you. Heavy booted footfalls carried along the empty halls. Your arms and legs were restrained before they placed a helmet that blinded and deafened you on your head. It didn’t look like they were taking chances. You had felt them secure it around your neck. There were four guards. Two of them helped you stumble about before they tossed you in to a vehicle of some sort.It rumbled on for a while before finally coming to a stop. That was when you felt the restraints coming undone and the helmet lifted. Your eyes didn’t need to adjust to a night time street in Academy City. The guards that were escorting you were dead, their throats slit. Beside them was a familiar figure, though this time he looked like he was in gear. It was Toulour.“Well, fancy meeting you here,” he greeted.“You owe me a story about my mother,” you noted.“I do, hop in, we’ll talk on the way,” he gestured to a car.It was an old Chevrolet but you didn’t get to read its model as you were kind of in a hurry.“Your gun’s in the glove compartment but the way,” Toulour said as he started up the engine.True to his word, a familiar M1911 laid waiting, along with a few mags and a shoulder holster. He shifted in to gear, driving off in to the night. Now began the first leg of your journey.[1/2]
>>33734563We are always playing into somebodies plan. Rather than worry about it just keep on keeping on.
>>33734585Toulour recounted the tale of your mother, though you did have some reservations about how he seemed to have a bit of a fixation on her. The smooth cruising of the old V8 was however disrupted by the arrival of a complication. It was an eight legged one that shot explosive disk projectiles at you.“Shit I didn’t expect them to bring out the big guns so soon,” Toulour remarked, “We need to shake it off in the streets.”It was keeping pace on the highway and there was little cover.“We’ll be late then,” you argued, “I can keep it from hitting us anyway.”“Your call,” he swerved around another explosion.>Stay on the highway>Lose it on the streets
>>33734630>Lose it on the streetsdefer to the expert
>>33734630>>Stay on the highwayAnything that relies on Torikov's competence.
>>33734630>>Stay on the highwayHave faith in the dice
>>33734630>Stay on the highwayWhen using TK remember: sloped surfaces deflect force far more efficiently that flat surfaces.
>>33734630>Stay on the highwayNo time like the present to level up our TK.
>>33734630>Stay on the highwayWe're already risking everything, playing it safe won't save us now.
>>33734630>>Stay on the highwayThe fact that we're trying to bust out in real time means we're already behind schedule.
>>33734630>>Lose it on the streets
>>33734630>Stay on the highwaySo if they're already after us, than they've already closed the all the ways out of the city and have everything ready to stop us...so stealth didn't work out it seems.
>>33734630>I can keep it from hitting us anywayI remember the last time we tried that.>Lose it on the streets
>>33734630>>Lose it on the streetsTrying ti TK things that want to kill us never works guys.
>>33734630>Stay on the highwayOWQ already used up all the bad rolls today.
is anyone else terrified of dice?
>>33734783We did not even roll today.

>>33734959Time for rolling?
Rolled 20>>33735027nat 1 here we come
>>33735134Great, now you wasted it.
>>33735143Luckily probability doesn't work that way.
Rolled 16>>33735181;_; We are all so fucked.
>>33735134M-maybe he'll take this one
>>33735191Stop rolling dammit!
>>33735203Eh, as much as i'd like that, he's ignored poor rolls we've made in the past when they were made at the wrong time. Bad precedent to set now.
Gonna archive right after the next update/word from Bored
The first time we've ever had to worry about the quest hitting the bottom of page 10.It's come so far...
