You decide to go check up on your idols first. THANKFULLY, they're more or less awake by this point, so you don't have to go through the harrowing experience of having to rouse them from bed. You're still sore from the last time you did that.

Your idols seemed to be rather tired and less energetic. However, they seemed to be more or less okay. Or at least that was the image they were trying to present to you.

"So, how are you girls today?" You ask.

"TIRED!" They groan.

"I'm still alive, if that's what you mean." She chuckles. "She's pretty amazing, really. Once we got past the whole 'beating the snot out of each other' phase."

"Good to hear." You nod. "You ready for the Expo."

"Definitely." Rochelle grins.

"Good." You turn to the others. "Rin, Cole, I expect you to be ready to go within the hour. Ushiyama should have already fitted you all for your outfits, so talk to him if you have any problems on that end. For the rest of you, take the day off. You all deserve it."

The girls all cheer as you leave the housing block. You can't help but smile as you do so, however.

"Simple as that." Jenner shrugs. "But even the simplest plans can go wrong, so we'll have to stay on alert at all times."

You nod and head down to Lillith's office, where you see her scribbling away on paperwork. No doubt just observations on the girls' behavior.

"A couple." Lillith nods and motions for you to enter. "Is this about business or what I said earlier?"

"I just wanted to see if you were okay." You say simply.

"Yeah... I guess I am." Lillith sighs. "I left that life behind, so I can't let it keep troubling me."

"Is that a yes? You brainy types are always so wordy." You grin.

"Yes, I'm fine." Lillith smiles. "Ah, while you're there, do you think you can do a favor for me?"

"Sure, what is it?" You ask.

"An old friend of mine, Belle will be at the Expo, too." Lillith says with a bit of nostalgia in her eyes. "She's the lead idol for Orion, actually. You think you can say high to her for me? We hardly have chances to talk anymore..."

"Yeah, sure, I can do that." You nod and glance at your watch. "Anyways, I gotta go before Jenner kills me."

"Sure thing." Lillith chuckles. "Have fun."

With that, you leave Lillith's office and head down to the garage. You see Jenner, Rin, Rochelle, and Cole are already there, waiting for Stig to finish polishing up the SUV. He was even wearing a fancy dress suit, like a professional chauffeur.

"Stig, since when were you so concerned about appearance?" You laugh.

Stig briefly looks up and shakes his head.

You then glance over to your idols. Both Rochelle and Cole were wearing their suits. Rochelle's was prim and proper, and absolutely flawless. Everything looked to be perfectly ironed, buttoned up, and pressed. She was even sporting a pair of black leather gloves. Definitely looked every part the professional.

Cole, on the other hand, seemed to being for a more casual look. Her shirt collar was slightly popped, with the top few buttons left unclasped. Her coat wasn't even buttoned up at all, and her tie hung loosely at her neck. You weren't exactly surprised. Like Rochelle, she was wearing a pair of black leather gloves, too.

"It feels more comfortable this way." Cole says when you look at her.

"I'm sure."

"How do I look, Producer?" Rin says a bit nervously.

While you had seen Rin's outfit before, this was the first time you saw her actually wearing it, and the effect was absolutely stunning. It was a light blue gown with white frills, and a snowflake themed little cape at the back. Ushiyama had certainly gone all out with this.

"You look amazing." You grin. "You'll definitely blow all the other girls out of the water."

"Thank you!" Rin beams, obviously encouraged by your praise.

"All right, everybody in!" Jenner claps to get everybody's attention. Like you, she was wearing a regular business suit. Couldn't really fault her for that. "And Cole, wear your suit properly! You look like a slob!"

"But I like it better this way." Cole frowns.

It's then that K-Zwolf bounds up, obviously wanting to come along. You then remember that this would probably be the first mission that K-Zwolf wouldn't be accompanying Rochelle. She bends down to pet K-Zwolf on the head and she looks pleadingly at you. However, you shake your head.

"I'm sorry, K-Zwolf, you have to stay home for this one." Rochelle sighs.

"I DO NOT UNDERSTAND, MASTER." K-Zwolf buzzes.

"Stay here and keep an eye on the other girls, okay?" That's an order." Rochelle says, patting K-Zwolf on the head. "And keep a double eye out on Rin's grandfather. Who knows what he'll be up to when we're all gone."

"IT SHALL BE DONE!"

"I heard that!" Rin says.

With that, everybody piles into the SUV and Stig hits the gas, driving out of the garage and onto to the streets, where he promptly gets onto the freeway towards District One. Already, you can see the Space Elevator towering the distance, reaching up infinitely into the sky.

"That thing... is really high." Rin blinks.

"Afraid of heights?" You ask.

"Not really." RIn shakes her head. "More like I'm just nervous about what I'll find up there. I mean, I'm just a small time idol trying to make ends meet, you know? Up there, everybody is world famous. They're megastars! What would think of me when they see me?"

Both Rochelle and Cole give her a thumbs up, while Jenner nods and smiles lightly.

"Thanks, Producer." Rin smiles, her spirits raised.

"So, gear check, girls." You turn to Rochelle and Cole. "What are you two packing?"

"Well, I got two pairs of glasses. One is the VISR and the other is the Oracle that Julie lent me." Rochelle holds them both out for you to see. "I can only use one at a time, naturally, but I'll do my best to match it the situation."

"Cole?"

"Just those VISR shades Falynn made for me." Cole takes out a pair of sunglasses. "I am so totally going to wear these inside, and nobody is going to stop me."

"That's great, Cole." You chuckle.

"We have arrived at our destination!" Nemo says helpfully.

Stig slows the SUV and stops at an obvious dropoff point. You and the others step out, and you're simply amazed at the sheer SIZE of the Space Elevator as it stretched endlessly into the sky.

The five you head for one of the elevator cars reserved for the Expo. You notice that it had far more creature comforts than the other cars that you've passed. Only the best for the best, you imagine. The pair of robotic guards standing at the door quickly scan you all and perform an ID check before allowing you to board. Once everybody takes a seat, you hear a loud chiming sound. The hologram of a rather attractive girl materializes in front of you.

"Hello, and welcome to the Delta City Space Elevator! Would you like a guided tour while you wait?"

"Thank you!" The hologram smiles. "Please be seated, and stay seated until the warning light deactivates!"

Suddenly, the entire elevator car jolts as it shoots up the side the Space Elevator. In front of you, the previously opaque wall converts into an transparent window, granting you a rather amazing view of Delta City.

"In front of you is Delta City, built by the Omni Consumer Products Corporation after it bought out the bankrupt Detroit City." The hologram says. "From the first ground breaking ceremony, the demolition of Detroit and the completion of Delta City's basic infrastructure took nearly twenty years. Now, Delta City is considered to be one of the United States' top cities, consistently ranking high in population, standard of living, median income, welfare, crime prevention, and more!"

Eventually though, Delta City becomes an insignificant speck below you.

"At this height, you can no doubt see the curvature of the Earth." The hologram continues happily. "The OCP Space Elevator was part of Delta City's 'essential infrastructure', and as such was one of the very first projects completed when Delta City was founded. This space elevator was the very first constructed, is currently only one of three in the world! In addition to carrying people, the Space Elevator also carries cargo and freight into space, rendering the old method of using chemical rockets to launch craft into space completely obsolete."

"Man, I would've loved to have known what it would feel like to be strapped to a giant tank of high explosive, just to give gravity the middle finger." Rochelle says dreamily.

"You are one crazy bitch." Cole frowns.

"If you look ahead," The hologram motions out the door. "You should see that we are now in the upper reaches of the atmosphere, and officially in what we deem 'space'. If you look ahead, you can see the latest project made possible only by the Delta City Space Elevator!"

Up ahead, you could see what looked to be a massive space station being assembled like a toy. Even from this distance, you could see robots and spacesuited workers swarming all over the structure.

"What you see ahead the Prometheus Station, built by Weyland Yutani for an eventual colozination mission to Mars!" The hologram says happily. "Once it achieves geostationary orbit around Mars, the Prometheus will then proceed to lay the foundations for a new Mars Space Elevator to assist future colonization missions!"

Well, that was interesting to hear. You wonder how long that was into the future.

"And now we will reach our destination shortly! I hope you enjoyed the tour. Please stay seated until the vehicle comes to a full stop!"

The elevator finally slows to a stop as it reaches the top. The doors swiftly open, and you're met by a very large contingent of armed guards in OCP corporate colors. Behind them, you could see an ED-209 standing like a statue with really, REALLY big guns.

"Please exit the the elevator car one by one." The lead guard says. "Men to the right, women to the left. Be prepared to be thoroughly searched."

And so began the very long process of getting processed. You lost track of the amount of times you were scanned and wanded by security, and every so often you'd get a full pat down. At another point you were forced to disclose all of your augmetic enhancements, which were all carefully logged and noted. The girls received the same treatment, though fortunately they were mostly handled by robots or female guards, which was a small comfort.

Finally, you come up to what seems like the final checkpoint, a pair of double doors. In front stand a pair of OCP guards.

Both Wedge and Biggs seem to nod sagely, satisfied by the answer.

"Oh, you think you could autograph my my handgun?" Wedge pulls his handgun from his holster and holds the butt of it out towards Rochelle.

"Aha, sure." Rochelle smiles and signs her name on it. She offers to Biggs, but he shakes his head.

"Nah, I'm a Tunnel Snake, through and through. Just being able to see Boss in person is enough for me!"

That causes Cole to blush slightly.

"Anyways, you guys got a party to get to, right? We won't be keeping you for any longer!" Wedge and Biggs then pull the double doors open for you. "Knock em dead!"
