As the two of you make your way to the living room, you turn to Luciana and lean in close.

"Your buns were the best," you whisper in her ear.
"Wha-" Luciana stumbles over, her face completely flushed with blood. You try to catch her before she can fall, but she rights herself before you can get to her. And then she slowly turns to you, revealing her beet-red face.

And that expression... pure embarrassment. It's beautiful.

"RrrrrrrrrrREINHOLD!" Luciana shouts as she hits you in the chest with several weak baby punches. "Why would you word it that way!?"
"Word it what way?" you reply, trying your best not to laugh.
"Y- you KNOW what you said!" she says as she prepares to berate you further... but then she lets out a resigned sigh. "I know you're lying because Elena's cinnamon buns were better than mine, but thank you."

After giving you a quick kiss to further show her gratitude, Luciana takes your hand as the two on you continue walking.... sadly, it looks like you two missed out on getting the best seats. Nicolette and Melanie are sitting together on the nicest couch in the room, talking to Bernard. And as for the others, Rana's busy playing with Elena's bunny hat, flopping the ears in her brother's face.

He doesn't seem to be enjoying that at all.

Ignoring the others, Luciana walks to the nearest vacant seat and practically collapses onto it with a long sigh of relief.

"That tired, huh," you say a you sit down next to her.
"I've been on my feet all day, so yes," Luciana replies. "I'm just glad that it's all done with... and that I didn't end up ruining dinner, of course."

Yeah, she does look pretty tense. It might be a good idea to change the subject to something else.

"Hm?" Luciana turns to you. "Oh... no, that was just today," she sighs.

With a sigh, Luciana leans over on your shoulder and makes herself nice and comfortable, jostling your arm around and making you -quite- sure that it's going to fall asleep if she stays like that.

"As for the other things I've been up to," Luciana begins, "mostly I've been going through Aunt Ariane's grimoire collection and looking around for spells that might be interesting to learn," she says. "She's been helping me with it as well... I have to say, it feels kin of strange actually having someone actively helping me with magic."

"Yes," she nods.

The next twenty minutes or so are spent with Melanie and Luciana discussing what kinds of things they'd like to do in town tomorrow. It seems as if they could keep going on about this stuff forever, but the time soon comes for you to head back to the castle. And so, you and Melanie say goodbye to your friends and significant others and get on the carriage...

And so, you regale Karel with an abridged version of your miserable life's story. Being abandoned as a baby at a whorehouse, getting smacked around on a daily basis, meeting Citrine, meeting and then losing Volker (and Adrien), how you were starting to lose it after a while so Citrine pushed you to run away... while you do leave out the most awful details, the general terribleness of your past is made quite apparent.

And when you finish, Karel's staring at you with her mouth agape.

Upon entering your room, you unfasten the sword from your belt and lean it against the wall by your bed, then toss off your jacket and sit down on your bed. It's been a long day, and you feel kind of bad for ending it by getting Karel all depressed... though that definitely wasn't intentional.

And then you glance at the bracelet on your wrist and remember that Karel has one as well... maybe you could ask her how hers is progressing, that might be something to do.

Keeping that in mind, you burn through your magical reserves trying to make your bracelet change shape (it's still pretty early on so you can't really do all that much with it), do a few light exercises, and then collapse on your bed.
