Welcome to Academy City. The time is past sun down, the weather is dry, and the date is August 27.

You are Kyril Torikov, ‘Level 2’ Telekinetic Child Error, and you were nervous. It was normal, you thought. You were about to face down about one thousand remotely controlled powered suits. To be fair you weren’t doing alone. Asuka and Toshino were actually going to be facing them head on, with melee weapons no less. You yourself were armed with four rocket launchers and ten shots for them, along with 8kg worth of plastic explosives but only six blasting for it. That was not all of course but you doubted your handgun would do much against those suits.

Nunotaba had tasked your band of merry thieves to retrieve the Chemicaloid for her. You were part of the distraction team on this job. Sagara, Tadakuni, and Kyousuke, were responsible for the main objective behind this whole endeavour. Once they had that, Nunotaba was going to help you escape with an appropriated van. All of this had to be done before Anti-Skill showed up of course. Given the relatively short frame of time you had before they did, escaping cleanly was probably going to be the hardest part of the whole thing.

It was probably too late to call off the whole endeavour now though. You had arrived at the main entrance. While you were part of the distraction team it didn’t mean you had stick with Asuka and Toshino though. They were going to bust down the door and crack some heads.

I'm not quite sure how long we're going to last with the amount of ammo we've got. These suits aren't particularly threatening though.

I was figuring the special AC penetrators would do work if we could get a slight angle- like, fifteen or twenty degrees, maybe- and go for 'collaterals'

But, yeah, I'm pretty uncomfy with our ammo supply.

It was like why you were carrying most of the ordnance. You just didn’t see what a rocket launcher could do in close quarters outside of being an improvised club. Thus you split off from the girls, lugging the equipment away as you did so. Toshino displayed remarkable strength prying the door open with her bare hands. You didn’t get to see what happened afterward as you found another entry way. The place was a private testing ground and a stadium second. It was why it took you a while. When you arrived, Asuka and Toshino were already well stuck in. Flashes of red and blue danced across the wide open space as powered suits streamed in. Right now it was manageable but the girls would be surrounded soon.

While the suits didn’t firearms of any kind but they did have some sort of wrench as a melee weapon. You saw the kind of damage they could do when a one of them clipped Toshino in the side. She went flying pretty far and landed at angles that normal humans shouldn’t bend at. It was pretty scary in a way, to see her get up, dust herself off and jump right back in. The numbers were certainly tipping the scales. At least there hasn’t been any kind of Anti-Skill response so far. The retrieval team has yet to breach, with Sagara and Kyousuke entering one way and Tadakuni entering from another. You weren’t sure if this was enough of a distraction but if you didn’t do something soon things make take a turn for the worse.

>>

They'll still be streaming towards the threat they're aware of.

Having to dig through rubble would buy Asuka and Kyouko some time to whittle down the ones already present before the next 'wave'.

Whatever we do, we just need to make enough noise that they don't go after the others, and not die.

Hefting a launcher, you aimed carefully at the spots they were streaming in. It was kind of hard to miss with the kind of numbers they had. The problem was there were too many entry points to cover at once so you just settled with the closest one.

Gage wasn’t kidding when he said the warheads were great for knocking things over. You hit a suit squarely in the centre, pushing it back from the force along as the projectile continued behind it, exploding in a yellow ball of fire. You lined up your second shot faster, blowing another hole in the ranks. It was your third shot that attracted their attention. They lined themselves up to go after you and that was just perfect. Both because it was easier to topple them like dominoes and because it took the heat off of Asuka and Toshino for a bit. Whoever was controlling them was a terrible gookclicker.

Sagara had timed your shots and on the final one, you swore you heard the building shake a bit. He must have breached then. None of the suits seemed to have noticed. Of course after four shots you had to reload all your launchers. It was a simply procedure really but that really did cost you some time. They had gotten close to your position. While the suits didn’t look like they could climb, they made up for that by simply tearing the wall down so that they could get to you. You considered mining the approach and then continuing on your business of laying covering fire. The blasting caps were programmable to up to a minute of delay before detonation. Of course the other option was to run and gun.

Well if they wanted to come get you then that was fine too. Grabbing your plastic explosives you moulded them with your hands and quickly topped them off with a blasting cap before tossing them telekinetically in their path. As they climbed up closer the explosions ripped through their lines, clogging up the only way to get to you. You still had a 2kg left and a blasting cap, just in case. Your next two rockets didn’t do much as whoever was controlling the suits just gave up on you and spread them out. They piled on to Asuka and Toshino instead. You didn’t want to hit them by accident even if Toshino could take it.

“94,” you could hear your girlfriend shout.

She had made a small pile of scrap around her.

“95,” Toshino returned, “I still got you beat Kuso.”

“96, at least try to keep up Wanko-chan.”

They were making a competition out of the whole thing but even then they were tiring. Toshino was starting to forego dodging. Instead she used the blows that landed to move herself around. Asuka as well was now standing still. Instead of flitting about, she planted her feet and cleaved anything and everything that came within range.

“Sagara where are you at?” you asked the other team leader.

“We’re going to secure the room right now, no casualties, on either side, yet,” he replied.

“Alright keep at it looks like we did our job well.”

Maybe too well, you thought. You never expected that they actually have an even bigger suit, two of them in fact. These ones had nasty looking guns slung under their noses and they just screamed bad news. The girls were too busy to notice but they were in your line of fire. You hefted the rocket launcher, now wishing the damn thing came with better target acquisition systems. You still had your Ability though but you weren’t sure if it could help here or not.

You had to try at least. If your telekinesis was actually a field then maybe you could use it to guide the rocket to the target. At least, that was the intention. In practice, you really didn’t have much of a way to judge how, where or when your Ability could but it wasn’t a bad shot by any means. It just didn’t do squat to the damn suit. At least you think it was a piloted suit. By the time you had another shot lined up the large barrels belched their payload, heedless of the smaller suits in the way. It blew them all away.

Thankfully it didn’t kill the girls outright. Definitely did a real number on them though. Asuka was still breathing but she wasn’t in any condition to fight. You’d admire her lack of clothing if her skin was rent with cuts and burns. Toshino didn’t even look human at that point. She was burned, charred, but she was still moving. The blue glowing spear switched targets. With the smaller suits being mostly taken out of the fight now it was just the big ones. Toshino knew that. You suspect she didn’t want to end up disintegrated either. The blue mana spread outward. It was twisting the ground, twisting the environment. That same foggy mist descended. You wished you could care about that right now. If only to make things worse Sagara had an issue. Something to do with the Chemicaloid and a final solution.

“What is it?” you snapped.

“They launched something from the Endymion,” Sagara replied coolly.

Fuck you knew you forgot something.

“And?”

“It’s either the city, or the Chemicaloid,” he replied, “Nunotaba says the choice is yours.”

Oh god, Touma's going to wake up and everyone in like a 100 mile radius will be dead.

"I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened."
>>

>>

>>

>>
>>33524396
Presumably he'll go full Bersi mode.
>>
>>33524396

You know what he's going to assume? That the fucking Archangel trying to destroy the world and everyone he knows and loves dying is connected somehow (not an unreasonable assumption).

He's going to go kill God or something. Or Crowley, if he's the next best thing.
>>
>>33524459
STUDY will have successfully turned Touma into a JRPG character and they won't even be alive to appreciate it.
>>
>>33524459
Crowley's in his bullshit tower that managed to tank a hit with enough power to crack a planet in half.

“Alternatives?” you asked.

That was probably why you were given the hard choices, you thought.

“Not many, I mean, Academy City’s satellites should be able to kill it but,” Sagara started.

“しかし, the satellites have not flagged the missile or it’s payload as a threat,” Nunotaba’s voice came on.

“What does it do?”

“It’s some kind of bomb that hits AIM fields according to the coats,” Sagara got his phone back, “The Chemicaloid’s Ability will cause a chain reaction in an Ability User’s AIM fields, killing them. Of course that’s the worst case scenario.”

That was 80% of the city’s population gone, more or less. It also included you and many of your friends. It included Asuka. You were tempted to just shoot the Chemicaloid and be done with it but you knew there had to be a better way.

“So why can’t we just tag the missiles as threats to the city?”

“むり, that’d require accessing some of the highest level servers in the city,” Nunotaba interjected.

If that was all you knew some people who could do that for you.

“And we can’t shoot this thing down ourselves?”

“I doubt it. Apparently it’s like some kind of MIRV, only with 5,000 different projectiles. They’re probably coming down on our heads right now,” Sagara replied, “If we can hit them all at once that’d be good but I don’t think anyone short of the city’s defences could.”

Time was a wasting.

>Kill the Chemicaloid, it’s trouble
>Hack the servers, come what may
>>
>>33524481
Yeah, but Touma and Thor managed to find a way in with Kihara Kagun's calculations (turns out you can just use a jackhammer to break in if you know the precise points to hit it, since it's a math-based defense).

If Touma can get Kagun as an ally, which shouldn't be too hard since he hates AC as well, he could get in.
>>
>>33524499
>Hack the servers
>>
>>33524499
>Hack the servers, come what may
If we can't sic Sparky and company on it, this is the next best option.
>>
>>33524499
>>Hack the servers, come what may

We might have to pull a Tohma and skip town after this.
>>
>>33524499
>>Hack the servers, come what may
>>
>>33524542
Sparky? Why not Uiharu?
>>
>>33524543
Touma had to skip town because he was getting a lot of attention from punching Accel in the face. I don't see how many people are going to see is flagging a rocket as a rocket, or consider it much of a threat.
>>
>>33524499
>Hack the servers, come what may

we had to leave town to visit teacher anyways
>>
>>33524603
Sparky's a better hacker. Uiharu was only able to stop her from getting what she wanted by destroying all the information she was trying to get, which is kind of like burning down your house to stop burglars.
>>
>>33524499
> Hack the servers, come what may.
Kyril's killed before, but he's not going to start killing little kids.
>>
>>33524499
>Have one of them call Accel and tell him that unless he wants to risk dying, he should probably go do something about the missile.
>>
>>33524624
Yeah, it's not like AC is going to be angry at us for helping them stop a missile launched at them. Why would they be?
>>
>>33524624
Flagging the rockets implies we somehow knew they were rockets.

That quickly leads lot of questions and ends with someone asking, "why were you staging a military assault on STUDY corporation?"
>>
>>33524499
>Hack the servers, come what may
>>
>>33524677
AC doesn't give a shit. They don't even like STUDY. They laugh at them behind their backs. And over the phone. And to their faces.

They're the Team Rocket of AC's dark side.
>>
>>33524499
... Are they bluffing?

Because that sounds like a load of BS to me.
>>
>>33524701
Probably not. Granted, their grand plan will also kill them, along with all the level 0s they supposedly represent.

So it's not the greatest plan. Though I guess technically it's equality they're after, and everyone is equal in death.
>>
How does a bomb hit AIM fields, anyways?
Especially considering that they're different based on the multitude of different abilities.

It sounds almost like the bombs themselves are merely the designator in this situation.

Can we just knock the Chemicaloid out? Or does its ability work passively?
>>
We should have let the city burn. It's a screwed up place.
>>
>>33524816
The anti-esper prison system things mucks with AIM and causes power use to go all wonky and dangerous.

I assume the bomb would work in a similar manner.
>>
>>33524816
Well, there's the Imaginary Number District, which all Espers contribute to. Might be that. Not like STUDY could know about it. They might have discovered some way to hit it by accident though.

And probably not. If that would work I feel like it would have been brought up.
>>
>>33524816
Once the system went full FUCK THE WORLD the only way to remove her is to kill her.
>>
>>33524879
The city deserves it yeah, but most of the people who live there don't.

Plus it wouldn't kill Crowley or the scientists anyways, so it's not like the root of the problem would go away.
>>
What if we had Asuka order her to cease all brain functions for a minute or so, (excluding vital involuntary functions) while the payload hits?
>>
>>33525001
Dead loli is what happens.
>>
>>33525001
...huh. Clever bastard. I LIKE IT!
>>
>>33525030
How so?
>>
>>33525001
Asuka is currently unconscious, or at least in shock.
>>
>>33525079
If you destroy the working parts, what you'll get is a broken machine.
A beacon of light from a burning screen.
>>
>>33525079
>Turn off all brain functions for a minute.

How would her brain even know when to boot back up if there is nothing giving her a sense of time?

Even if you go for non-vital I'm pretty sure that would still fuck her up for a bit assuming she can target that easily. Though I can't remember how much she has to be around to destroy everything.

“So just hacking the server?” you asked once again for confirmation, “Sounds easy enough. Now get them to shut down the suits. Shoot them if you need to. Hell, shoot them all, just don’t kill them.”

“Got it,” was Sagara’s reply.

You thought you heard several gunshots over the radio. The suits stopped.

“Toshino, get Asuka ready to move, I got a call to make,” you commanded, “Nunotaba, get us that van, we’re leaving.”

You weren’t sure what the consequences of your actions were going to be come the morrow, but at least you didn’t have to kill anyone to do it. Maybe that was the only good thing in this whole debacle. Maybe if you remembered they put something on the Endymion none of this would have happened. Too late for that now though. You called up Sparky.

“Hey aniki.”

“Sparky, I need you to listen to what I say alright?” you said seriously.

“Uh sure.”

“Right now, there are 5,000 bombs that are going to hit Academy City and I need you to get your hacker friend to flag them as threats to the city so they can be shot down.”

“Huh?”

“Sparky, listen to me,” you cut her off, “I need you to do this now. Like right now. I wouldn’t be calling if this wasn’t serious.”

“What? Why?” she hesitated.

“If they have a problem send them to me,” another push, “If you don’t do this, well, I won’t have a chance to explain later. No one will.”

“But.”

“Don’t worry about me,” you assured, “Worry about our sister instead alright?”

“Alright,” she finally capitulated, “But you owe me an explanation.”

“If we make it yeah,” you hung up.

Nunotaba had the van already running and ready to go. You and Toshino were the last to arrive. The sirens were still far off in to the distance yet. Now that you had the Chemicaloid, you had to figure where to go next. Asuka was still breathing and her wounds weren’t too bad. Heaven Canceller should be able to fix her up good, better than Nunotaba could at any rate. Still it seemed tempting to skip town. You didn’t want to be caught right now and you had a few ideas of where to go and how to get there.

Touma only got to skip town because the higher ups wanted it. He wasn't going to get arrested for anything.
We on the other hand would probably be hunted down and I fear the possibility of getting killed (just look at at Hamazura). If we stick around we'll only be arrested and we could argue our case (rescuing a "kid" from captivity and preventing the city from being destroyed). In a town full of super-powered kids, I can't imagine the punishment for vigilantism being too harsh. Or maybe we get dragged into the DARKNESS.

Your first stop was Heaven Canceller’s hospital. You still had a healthy head start on the law. Nunotaba didn’t share your opinion but she also forgot to mention the whole AIM bomb thing to you too. As usual Heaven Canceller was awake and was available to treat Asuka, no questions asked. It was a minor thing for him really. The problem is that he would rather have Asuka stay for observation. From what he had been able to infer, she may have taken a hit to the head. It was probably because she hadn’t awoken yet. Toshino however was freakier, if you dared use such a term. What used to be a soot black body that walked around with no hair or eyes was now closer to her usual appearance. All she needed were some new clothes and she’d be good to go. Her hair was still growing. You were all seated in Asuka’s private room contemplating your next move.

“Man I don’t wanna complain or anything Torikov but you really have shit jobs,” she said, “At least I didn’t set myself on fire this time, and the fighting was nice to let off some steam.”

“She ain’t right boss,” Tadakuni told you.

“Yeah, I can’t hear her heartbeat,” Sagara added.

“Oh right, I knew I forgot something.”

She thumped her chest twice.

“That better?”

“Now that’s just creepy,” Tadakuni kept up the commentary.

“あなたたち, I am ready to leave the city with the Chemicaloids,” Nunotaba spoke, “I have some seats if you wish.”

“Sounds like a plan,” Kyousuke said, “I’ve always wanted to travel some more.”

“And who’s going to take the fall if we skip town?” Tadakuni asked.

“Who said anyone has to?” Kyousuke shot back.

Personally, you didn’t have the heart to force everyone in to a decision. Not after tonight.

“I’m staying,” you simply told Nunotaba, “Take them with you.”

“わかりました, anyone else?”

“Feels bad when boss says it like that,” Tadakuni mused, “Maybe some other time then.”

“Yeah man, way to guilt-trip me in to staying,” Kyousuke joked.

“I’m not going out there, no way,” Toshino as well didn’t want to leave.

“Don’t you dare forget our promise,” Sagara said.

Yeah, there was no way he’d leave.

“そう.”

Nunotaba moved and kissed Sagara.

“Consider us over then,” she finished.

Even as she walked out, Sagara’s smile stayed on his face. You kind of wanted to punch it off his face for some reason. The other lads seemed to share your sentiments.

“Anyways, now that that’s squared away how about we get down to some real business,” Toshino broke the silence once again.

“What do you mean Toshino?” you really were too tired for this shit but you humoured here anyway.

“If I was any old schmuck I’d be fucking pushing daisies right about now, not to mention I saved your girlfriend’s butt.”

“You going somewhere with this?”

“Easy, I think I’ve paid back that money I owe you today,” she summed it up.

“A Sister is a Level 3 Electromaster clone, born with weapon handlings, tactics and all sorts of useful things to know in a fight,” you started.

“You going somewhere with this?”

Now she was the one asking.

“They’re worth only 180,000 yen,” you replied, “Don’t rate yourself too highly Toshino. They have better panties than you do too.”

“Wow you know some fucked up shit,” she whistled, “tell you what? How about we compromise? I work with the Problem Children, still think it’s a retarded name though, and we don’t owe each other nothing.”

“Anything,” Kyousuke corrected.

“Whatever, you get what I’m saying right?”

“You’re the only one who doesn’t a give a shit about what I am,” Toshino spoke to you, “And that Kaoru chick too I guess. I don’t have too many options here. If you guys steal shit, do shady jobs for a living? Well it’s not like I was doing any good myself.”

“Whatever, hop aboard Toshino,” you just waved her over, “And now as my first order as leader, tell me how you lost your panties to Mishka and Index.”

“Hey, I ain’t following no stupid order like that,” she protested, “Besides, what are you going to do? Kill me?”

“I thought about it,” you joked, “If that’s what it takes.”

“If,” she smiled, “It’s Kyouko by the way.”

“Big Poppa Kyril.”

She shook her head. Everyone else laughed. That drew in heaven Canceller who pretty much kicked you all out of Asuka’s room. Well, he tried kicking you out but you didn’t let go of Asuka’s hand. You were never letting go.

You are Kongou Mitsuko, and you are happy. Why? It was simple. You had just been accepted in to the prestigious Tokiwadai Middle School in a certain academic city. Yes, you were going to Academy City. You were going to reunite with your old friend, Kudou Asuka, and what a glorious reunion it shall be. The past year had been hard, and boring, but that hadn’t compared to the majority of this summer. You had spent the better part of it preparing to transfer. For that you had spent the majority of it abroad. It would not do to fall behind now. Right now, you were aboard flight TG640 bound for Japan. You’d then have to take a connection to enter Academy City proper but that was but a minor trouble.

While the flight was only so long, you didn’t feel like napping, even in first class seats. Thankfully the plane has levelled off and you were clear to use a personal electronic device on board now. There weren’t that many other passengers in first either, seeing as there wasn’t that many seats in the first place. You were sitting in the pair of seats on the starboard side, by the aisle. To your right was a middle-aged man in a suit. His hair was black and his eyes were closed. Somehow you think he wasn’t asleep even if his face was tired. On your left was a pair of seats, separated from you by an aisle, was a woman in a summer dress. The woman had short, fair brown hair and was looking worriedly at you, or at least in your direction. You think she was trying to see out of the window to be honest.

Would it be inappropriate if you were to say she had a coquettish smile? It was disarming to say the least. It looked incongruous on a woman her age. She definitely was old enough to be your mother at any rate, even if her youthful look was deceiving. Truly she was a woman of the world to be all these things. Thus naturally, you talked to her.

“Excuse me, am I in your way?” you asked.

Her laugh was rather motherly, if you had anything to say to it.

“Ufufufu, not at all young lady,” she answered, “I’m just worry about Shamu-nii over there.”

Shamu-nii?

“He’s my older brother,” she gestured to the man sitting next to you, “He had an accident in Hong Kong and we flew back to Thailand to get him treated but well, it looks like we need to go to Academy City after all. It’s a bit spur of the moment so we didn’t get to sit together.”

“Oh I am so sorry, would you like to trade seats?” you offered.

“Oh no, s’all good,” she denied cheerfully, “Miss, uh.”

“My apologies, I am Kongou Mitsuko. It is an honour to meet you.”

“Kudou Junko,” she bowed to you in turn, “Nice to meetcha’ too Mitsuko-chan.”

Uwah, she was skipping straight to being familiar? Well there was nothing wrong with that, probably.

“My brother’s Fujimoto Shiro, but we just call him Shamu-nii,” she continued happily.

The man beside you grunted. You think he was annoyed. That and he was paying attention to your conversation. Before either of you could continue chatting, you were interrupted by a hiss. Several of them in fact. Looking down the aisle towards the tail, you saw them slithering out from under the curtain. They were snakes, King cobras to be precise. They reared up, hissing as their tongues tasted the air around them.

Nah, Kihara's have plenty of research subjects. That's what they use Child Errors for.

See, alot of the time parents will pay the initial tuition, drop off their kid, and then fuck off forever (AC is an independent nation technically and it's not like Japan is going to take the kids back). Now the kids are living off the city's dime in orphanages. No parents to care if they happen to have their brain cut open leads to a very happy Kihara.

You were calm but you gasped. You were composed but it was a cute snake. You were a lady so you didn’t panic, outwardly. Ladies did not act hysterical, not even faced with one of the most venomous snakes in Asia. Besides you think they did look cute, in a way. Not as cute as Ekaterina though it still didn’t change that there were motherfucking snakes on the motherfucking plane.

“Oh hooh, so Mitsuko-chan has seen that movie too huh?”

Did you just say that out loud?

One of them swayed back, and faster you could blink it struck. Well it would have struck, if an hand hadn’t clamped down firmly on it. You could its fangs, bared and dripping of venom. It seemed Fujimoto-san had gotten up and managed to stop it from sinking in to you. With a snap, the snake’s neck was broken. So was your heart.

The other snake was diced up, minced up in a way you could not even begin to describe. How did that one die? Why was Kudou-san still smiling? Wait, wait, Fujimoto-san just pulled a hand gun from his suit. It had those long tubular extensions you see in movies, the one that made silly thwip noises. He crushed the snake he killed underfoot, always the while grumbling about scouts and vanguards or whatnot.

“Go get ‘em Shamu-nii,” she cheered him.

Off he went, trailing blood. Oh dear you were so confused. Not that you let it show of course. It would not do at all if you were to appear so. The plane banked unnaturally starboard.

“Hey, hey, Mitsuko-chan, want to play detective?” she asked you now, “Sort of like Conan or Holmes.”

>”I, Kongou Mitsuko am up to the challenge!”
>”Kudou-san what is going on here?”

>>
“Ohohoho, of course,” you answer, “I, Kongou Mitsuko, am up to the challenge!”

She clapped her hand twice, seemingly happy with your decision. Well you suppose that was a good thing, as she turned around to rummage from her luggage.

“Now the mystery is this.”

She produced a map of the plane!?!?

“Someone has killed the pilot,” she started ominous, “and the poor passengers on board haven’t a clue. Oh no, the only clue we have is that it’s from the venom of a king cobra. What do we do?”

You weren’t sure whether this was something she thought up on the spot or was just using a similar situation to get you to not pay attention to the king cobra corpses in the aisles.

“Uh, shouldn’t we look at the passenger manifests?”

“But this Airbus A380 has 507 passengers, how are we even going to narrow down the list?”

She had a point there. Think Kongou Mitsuko, think. Killing the pilot had many effects. One of them is indirectly assassinating someone else. Thus it wasn’t a sure fire way of determining who the culprit was. Their motives were too many. If someone snuck some king cobras on board, how would they do it? Wouldn’t snake handling be expensive?

“Wait, we search through the passenger’s belongings,” you answered, “We look for some anti-venom or something like that.”

“Oh hoh, a very smart suggestion,” Kudou-san agreed, “It just so happens that king cobra anti-venom is made to order. If they were going to have something then it must be made from a mixture of alcohol and turmeric root. Very good Mitsuko-chan. My daughter must be so happy to have a friend like you.”

Wait, now that you thought about it, she did share the same surname as your friend. Could it be? While you wanted to ask her more, you felt so very tired. So tired in fact that the next thing you knew the plane had landed and that Kudou-san and Fujimoto-san had disembarked.
>>
>>33529754
Did Kongou just get magicked?

Plenty. Janie, Asuka, the retrieval team and yourself, just from this set up alone.

>>33529871
A lot goes back to the prep and lead up to the assault. You could have been on hand to prevent the whole missilepocalypse if you led the retrieval team yourself regardless of whether you forgot about the thing on the Endymion or not. Other than that let's go down the choices.

You could have gotten surrounded just waltzing in. Of course you took the high ground.

Breaching early could have risked the retrieval team. Doing nothing could have endangered the girls later.

Now this is where I was slightly disappointed no one suggested combining TK with high explosives creatively. Running and gunning could have increased Parkour TK exp but it was risky. Mining the approach was the safe route.

All the rockets attempts multi-tk. Curving successfully might have lead in to mass acceleration but you still got some exp for that anyway. Manual aim does nothing obviously.

Killing the clone was the easy way out. Justifiable too. Telling Sagara to use his own discretion is the same as killing the clone. Letting the city burn was the end of Season 1.

Hacking, I'm not going to spoil that.

Skipping town leads to extra-national adventures with Teacher. Also Jason Bourne style shenanigans. Asuka would also recover slower.

You could have left Asuka but that would have torpedoed your relationship. Hanging together is coercive and probably wouldn't lead to Kyouko's thing.

That's pretty much it though. Kyouko's choice was obvious.

>>33529930
