Ned: "Well, we are going to wait for ratings and see who's most popular on each division at the time. The original plan was to have you fight your way to BL, but that's obviously out."

Samuel: "Well, I'm getting married at the end of the season."

Brass: -accidentally breaks his chair in a moment of surprise. Ends up sitting on the floor- "The hell...!? wha- when!?"

Samuel: "Told you, end of the season."

Eldric: "I think mister wolfside is more shocked about the timing of your announcement, sir."

Samuel: "Oh God don't call me sir, kid. Just call me Python or Samuel. Hell, mr Rodriguez is fine, if you MUST be so serious."

Ned: "Well... congratulations. Does this means she's transferring to the US?"

Samuel: "Yes. We both want to start a regular family, and can't very well do that with pop and mom living continents apart, can we?"

Brass: "Hold on, pop and mom? are you going to be a dad already?"

Samuel: "What do I look like? we use protection, you know? had ourselves tested, we are both stupidly fertile. We both want children, but we both want them after we are settled."

Ahmed (Ultrabeast, as he's going by nowadays) knocks on the door and Eldric goes to let him in. He's carrying another two kegs, and dressed in an amazingly elegant, designer cut suit.

Ahmen: "Hey guys. What's new?"

Ned: "Well, Samuel just announced he's getting married in 6 months."

Ahmed: "Uh... I can't tell if I'm surprised about how far in advance the wedding is being planned, or if I should be shocked he's finally getting married."

Samuel: "Well, we've both been around the block by now. We are both responsible adults. Did you expect us to run to Vegas and marry at an Elvis chapel? she has her work to deal with, too. Needs to get her transfer approved, and such"

Eldric: "What if her transfer is not approved? I was under the impression she's rather important and neccesary at Utopia's HQ."

Samuel: "Then she'll quit and move to the US anyway. We both want a traditional home, with traditional dad and mom roles. Plus she's actually a very devout muslim and i'm a very devout catholic. Ideologies apart, we both agree the husband runs the show."

Brass: "Well... does this means you are not going to go out with starlets and cute reporters anymore?"

Samuel: "That's right."

Brass: "Wait, really?"

Samuel: "Yes, I know you've seen me with a dozen dozen girls over the years, but have I ever been with more than one at the same time?"

Brass: "Fine. Jesus I can't believe this. What did your mom say?"

Samuel: "Well, she's happy for me. Had to explain to her muslims aren't the devil, have her see at the things we have in common, rather than the differences. I think she thinks of muslims as sort of mormons now."

Ahmed: "Me. I'm marrying, too."

Brass punches ultrabeast hard enough to send him flying a couple of feet back. Of course, amongst these guys, that's a friendly tap.

Brass: "Piss off ...seriously?"

Ahmed: "No, I wish, but, no. That trainer girl you hooked me up with, she's just so... feminine, you know? I feel like she would bruise if I touch her."

Brass: "Hey, Ned, have you seen about transferring Ahmed's contracts to our side?"

Ned: "Yes, his manager wasn't that hard to convince."

Brass: "Ned will change that. I'm sure that by the end of the season we'll have to fight the belt among ourselves. You'll see."

Samuel: "That reminds me, I'm going to open a gym. Not just for Novas, tho, but the baseline and nova areas will be on different levels. Been talking with an architect, and he has some nice ideas. The baseline side will have all the traditionals covered, and the nova side will have machinery AND specialists. We won't be doing "powers" but we will do complete physical checkups, monitoring, and of course, Qi Meng. You guys want to buy some shares now?"

Brass: "That sounds nice, but why are you having shares to begin with? you should have more than enough to build a couple of gyms already."

Samuel: "I'm building a chain of them."

Eldric: "Well, that makes a lot more sense. I don't know about owning a share, but I'll probably sign--- ah wait, if I stop going to miss Mai's place, Ami will kill me."

Samuel: "I was hoping to recruit her, actually. Ned, can you give me a hand with that?"

Ned: "That would be... complicated, but I'll see what I can do."

Ahmed: "So, who are we squishing on saturday night? are the fights decided?"

Ned: "Of course. Let me grab my datapad over there... Brass is fighting Titania, Eldric is going against Kodiak, Ami is going against Wavelenght, Ahmed with Beetle, and Samuel with Black Hawk."

Samuel: "What about Aura and Okaba?"

Samuel: "Sure. So I'm going to be taking Black Hawk Down, uh? and the over arching plot for the Gold division this season? I mean, I understand the plot for Omega got all fucked up, but it shouldn't affect us much, if at all."

Ned: "Well, the idea is to sell Eldric as the people's champion and write the plot as he wins or loses every week."

Eldric: "Pfff-*cough as he chokes on his beer* ...oh God. No pressure, uh?"

Ned: "I wish I could say that, but no. You are going to be under plenty of pressure, man. You have to start winning regularly. The doc says you are more than powerful enough, you just need to go for it."

Eldric: "Fighting sportsmen is not the same as fighting terrorists and soldiers, you know? I can't even use the same techniques. I was trained to be effective, not showy. I've been working on showy, but that's not as effective."

Brass: "Why don't you, Ami and I go over showy AND effective at the ranch on the weekends?"

Eldric: "That could work."

Ned: "Alright, let's get started, then"

The game goes on, with Eldric trying to solidify his advantage, Brass just enjoying the chat without trying to win, and Samuel coming out second after Eldric.

Eldric: "You know, one problem about playing here, is that we can't order pizza at this hour."

Ned: "sure we can, just have to ask for it on the kitchens rather than some delivery service."

Brass: "You execs, how you punish yourselves, eh?"

Ned: "Advantages of the job."

You call to the kitchens and ask for a dozen pizzas with everything. So far the game goes like this:

Who to difference from Lyann (original flavour) we will refer to as Lyann from now on. I think its better than Lyann(?) like we do with Euphry's Lyann. Yes, he is studying with Mai, but he's also taking Qi Meng classes with Lyann, and that's who he was talking about.

Eldric: "I would have to say she would probably enjoy that. She's a very big fan of the classics, but I'd rather just enjoy our time."

Brass: "Well, maybe just harass them a little on the hallways under the arena."

Ned: "That's just too used. I was thinking something like a couple of heels running into you at the beach. There's more than enough tourists with cameras everywhere these days that one of them filming it all with great quality and sound, then uploading it to the OPNet wouldn't seem strange at all."

Unsurprisingly, it's from Mako. She was waiting for you, but as the hours went by, she let you a note instead. It's to thank you for taking her to the zoo, and invite you to watch old movies with her the following night.
