A group, or rather, a horde of No-Stars dog pile on another obstacle, making a screaming, yelling, inarticulate bridge of bodies that overcomes pits, walls, and gaps alike. Even the weak in mass numbers are strong. One-Stars who were laughing are now diving out of the way as jeering No-Stars brush past.

Boss gives a low whistle. You on the other hand, begin to sweat. This is getting a little crazy. Waves of bodies crash into traps that were designed for stragglers panicking for their lives, not organized mobs, as barely as this one may be. The drawback, however, is that most of this course wasn't made for this much traffic at once and rush out settles in- With people panicking more and more as time ticks down.

You see Gama, atop his cart a distance above flabbergasted. You:

You and Boss make it a short way up. "Tch! This is going to take forever!" He stomps his foot and stomps a half-trampled No-Star beneath him who protests loudly. "Oh, er, sorry 'bout 'dat!"

A forward leading position won't work, Gamagoori is already expecting issues from you. You don't think he'd 'cheat' but there's no telling what he might do. He isn't the biggest weight on your mind, however, it's those who would cheat. You've seen plenty of sign of corruption in this school already, there's no telling which schemer of the week you'll encounter trying to stab someone in the back to move up in rank.

So, you gather Boss and a few of the No-Stars you who decided to hang around you, and you tell them a plan...

Gamagoori Ira, head of Discipline surveys the work his Trap Committee accomplished. This years handiwork far outweighs even last years event. The surge of reawakened No-Stars has been stopped dead, like cattle in a pen. He checks his watch and witnesses time as it passes.

""Hmph."

He relaxes, so far, it looks like this year will cull many a slovenly student.

"Hm- HM!?"

Gama's eyes squint. A lone No-Star is booking it toward the edge on obstacle, around his waste is a rope and it looks like there's a purple armband on his right side. Gamagoori turns to one of his aides, "Who is that?"

The aide presses a few buttons on a laptop, "That's... one who goes by the name Hiito. Just someone who failed to get into the Trapeze Club."

Gamagoori relaxes ever so slightly, and watches with interest. The boy runs to the edge and jumps. Gama raises an eyebrow. The boy sails over the edge, closer and closer as the eyebrow raises higher and higher. It's no good, and he falls short. He tumbles into the croc pit but at the last moment he is saved by two muscular students who yank him up. Gama's left eyebrow soars to the sky as he see's them hoist Hiito up and hurl him to the other edge.

His aide punches more keys, "Those are failed members of the weight lifting club- A-And long toss!"

Gama finally zooms out to the rest of the field. It's happening all over.

The students give a yelling cheer and begin to crawl over the ledges and pits using the ropes. Several purple arm-banded students slink their way through the crowd, whispering ideas and thoughts, pointing out and guiding. Gama's eyes do not go blind to this.

Finally, he singles you out. "Yuuuuuto COURTMANCHE!" You wince, at least he pronounces your last name right. You spin to face him across the great chasm between the No-Star areas and the One-Stars, "Yes?..." Several other people turn to look at you both. You don't need the attention, "I have not gone without seeing things, Courtmanche!" You wince, you could also do without all the noise, even from here he's a foghorn. "Why, I would hope so, Sir Gamagoori, we all could make use of the ability to see."

Right on target, his face puffs. "I don't know what you're planning..." You smile, "Whatever do you mea-" Gama cuts your voice off at the pass and overruns it, "BUT! Remember this, if you do not make it to the top by the proper time, you will be EXPELLED!"

Your face grows taught. "What?! I'm a One-Star, only No-Stars are expelled on No-Late day."

His laughter booms, "But, as per our challenge, you will lose your outfit once you are late. Making you... A NO-STAR."

Unseen, your fists clench. "You weren't very forthcoming about this, Sir Gamagoori. I-"

You clear your throat, then proceed to ask Boss to say something- It's not like you can effectively yell. "What? You really want me to ask that?" You nod twice. Boss sighs but then finally shouts

"Yuuto 'ere would like to point out your misconduct in the challenge!"

"HM!?"

You whisper more, then Boss yells more. "By not bringing up all terms you must acknowledge another addition to the clause."

"What foolishness!"

It's your turn to speak up. "I disagree, Sir Gamagoori, do you not want to set a good example?" A "NANDATTO" echoes back at you. "If you don't live up to the proper terms, what kind of example are you setting for your students!? Are you saying it's OK for them to back stab and cheat?"

His GAMAGOORI IRA-ness INTENSIFIES across the way, but finally, he calms down, and ponders this. "Very well, I accept because I choose to, and so that law is upheld, but fear not, Courtmanche, you will not see the end of this course in time!"

A smile creeps its way across you mouth. "Then, Sir Gamagoori... You surely won't mind agreeing that since if I lose I lose my out fit- that if I win I get to chose YOURS!"

Time is running out, you need to get yourself and as many people as you can to the front of the school as possible. The message is relayed and the group beings to double time it, no one really realizes that a single person is helping to pull the strings, guiding the whole closer and closer.

But then, you get a bad feeling in your gut.

More traps suddenly appear. Trap holes, turrets appear firing anything from bean bags to live ammunition, spinning traps increase speed even further.

Gamagoori gently floats by, far above you on the Gondola that only the highest of rank can use. He laughs at you once again. "We might not have expected an action like this but do you think that Honnouji was not prepared to increase the difficulty if something unexpected appeared?!" He continues laughing as he floats by. You grit your teeth.

But then... You see a platform fly by... With Ryuuko, Mako, and someone else that you can't make out. All you can tell is that Ryuuko is transformed and they are all yelling.

You realize that Gamas gondola is headed downward as well. You need a way to take care of these traps or get to the top before it's too late, but what about your friends?

And time is ticking!

"...This is uncomfortably daring." Your chair smacks into the platform and skids to a halt. Then it hits you, the platform is now empty, aside from a No-Star girl slumped in the middle.

In a pool of her own blood.

You're alone on a cart speeding toward the ground.
