Last time on Digimon Quest:

"If you're so sure of this, then it has to have happened before." You observe, and Sanzomon nods.

"When the Dead Zones first appeared, a sect of violent criminals who called themselves the Dark Masters tried to seize control of the digital world for themselves. They met with more resistance than they anticipated, and the resulting clash drew the attention of the Knights. The Dark Masters disappeared in the midst of the battle, but whether they were executed or escaped, I do not know. Once the slaughter was finished, the Knights returned to Yggdrasil's domain, and sealed the gateway once more."

Interesting. What will you do now, Wayne? It occurs to you that perhaps the Dark Masters had the same goal as you, that of entering Yggdrasil's realm while the knights were distracted...

Shit why did I quote that post...
>>
>[] Mention your theory

"If the Dark Masters went missing during the battle, then isn't it possible that they had a goal similar to ours?" You ask, and you can see the thought hadn't occurred to Sanzomon, judging by the worry that now tinges her gaze. You look to your friends, trying to get their opinions on the matter. Daniil and Zoe both appear to agree with your line of thinking, but it's Niklas who looks doubtful.

"Even if they did get in there," He begins slowly, "Then they'd have had to deal with the Royal Knights, and they're apparently in a whole other league. So..." Your fellow teen seems to notice now that everyone's attention is on him, and begins to shrink into himself. A reassuring hand on his shoulder from his best friend seems to help, and he continues, albeit a bit more nervously.

"So what happened to them? I mean, uh, they'd have known they were outmatched, right? So why go in at all unless they had some sort of plan?"

It's a good question, and, unfortunately, one you can't answer with the information you have. Still, you nod gratefully to Niklas, to let him know you understood his meaning. It wouldn't do to be the only voice of the group.

But what will you do now?
>>
>>33364137
Well, they probably had a plan. Maybe doing whatever they wanted to do in Yggdrasill before the Knights came back? That way they wouldn't have to deal with them, probably.
>>
>>33364216
Niklas seems to agree with this idea, but you still haven't got much more than rumor to actually base this off of. Which is really a shame, because the more information you have on digimon you're likely to run into at some point, the better.

Still, you now have some idea of what you need to do. First, an enemy. Those should be in ready supply, based on your experiences so far. Then, an army. You don't know where you'll get one of those, much less one willing to fight a war solely as a distraction for you to enter Yggdrasil's realm. Then there's the matter of the Royal Knights and the Dark Masters. You don't know how strong they are, but from the stories, they sound pretty strong. You might want to hunt down some information on them at some point or another.

But is there anything else you want to ask Sanzomon? If not, then this might be the time to start looking for answers elsewhere.

>Dark Masters/Army

"Well," You say, turning back to face the priestess digimon. "I think that's all the questions I have. Unless you happen to know the names of the Dark Masters, or how we can start this army you apparently want us to build?"

Sanzomon nods once.

"The Dark Masters' names are lost to me, but gathering forces, there I can help you. I heard from a merchant that you purchased a map yesterday. If you would...?" You pull the map out and hand it to her, watching as she pores over it, searching the illustration for something specific. Finally, she holds the map so your group can see, and begins indicating specific areas.

"Here," She taps a gray collection of squares. "Is The City. It goes by other names, but we prefer to call it what it is. Here you will find a motley gathering of digimon of many kinds, though chief amongst its inhabitants are remnants of the Dark Masters' former army, the Nightmare Soldiers. Leaderless after the Masters' war, they fell into chaos and upon themselves in a power struggle." A glance to your friends reveals Zoe giving the priestess skeptical looks, which she doesn't miss. "Many rumors and stories come through our gatherings. The City is a common subject, as are these," She points to the lake and desert on the map. "The Dead Zones in the north and south, The Dead Loch and Mountains, are home to two of the Dead Zone Rulers. The Loch's master, or Laird as he demands to be called, is a violent sort,, but not an unreasonable one. The ruler of the Mountains is another matter. His temper is legend, and I advise against attempting to gain audience with him." You wait for more information about them, but she moves on to another section of the map, above the city.

"And that is the Tartarus Chasm. If you value your lives, you will not go there. If you feel you must, however..." Her expression becomes unreadable as she continues. "Then do give the one at the bottom my regards."

Nightmare Soldiers are the ones that would serve the Great Demon Lords, right?
...Man if only we had Lilithmon or Beelzemon, we could just waltz in and order everyone to stand at attention.
>>
>>33365298
...I say we go to the City.
Get involved with Nightmare Soldiers.

...Gale can we hope for Sally to become a LadyDevimon soon? Might help give some respect and not make things end badly...
Actually can we ask about digivolution?
Maybe see if Sanzomon's got any idea of why Sally has been stuck at this stage for so long?
>>
>>33365298
I vote we try the Dead Loch, first. If need be, we can retreat towards the city.

>>33365300
Every time I see that pic, my first thought is always 'her wrists are smiling at me.'
>>
>>33365298
We know some people on the City wants us dead. I think it would be safer to try getting an audience with the ruler of the Dead Loch. The Dead Mountains are also really close, but it might be a bad idea.

In any case, as we are right now, we can't fight against at least half the City. We should wait until we're stronger.

Also, in the map
>The Tower of the of the Sovereigns
>>
>>33365381
I'll give in and say you're very close.
But also that Sanzomon isn't the one you need to ask about this.

>>33365123
I'm doing alright.
But the Shinmai Maou situation has become both worse and better. Prozess is quitting the translation because he's a hipster who has sworn never to translate anything that gets adapted, but at the same time others might step up and not be as complete shit.

>>
>>33365555

>>33365568
there are FIVE volumes out, and only two are translated.

So, are we going with the City, or the Loch?
>>
>>33365671
Before we go anywhere, let's talk to that ape guy.
>>
>>33365671
I still say City.
Dead Zone Rulers have an interest in keeping things going, is there any point in trying to get them to change opinion?
>>
Things are a little slow this time...
>>
>>33365671
Can't hurt to try the Loch first.

Also sorry for being late, forgot this quest typically ran on Saturdays.
>>
>>33365671
The City is probably too risky. We might get digivolutions for us and our group, but there will be too many enemies for us to handle. Still, we need to think up something to offer to the Dead Loch master.

He is close to the City. I wonder if he'd be interested in expanding his territory.

Look at my despair http://www.baka-tsuki.org/project/index.php?title=MuvLuv_Alternative_Schwarzesmarken
>>
>>33365915
It's in our interest to keep the city stable until we can get Lilithmon to march in and take over command of the Nightmare Soldiers.
>>
>>33365943
If we can create a conflict between the Loch and the City, we won't need the Nightmare Soldiers to bait the Royal Knights.
>>
>>33365715
Backing this anon.
But not for too long, I'd like to actually get something done for once.
>>
>>33366009
...Huh, true.
Would make me a little sad that apparently Lilithmon would not get to rule a whole kingdom at the start.
>>
As tempting as it is to go to the City, I'd say go to Dead Loch since at least THEY haven't tried sending dozens of their citizens to kill us yet...
Besides, I feel like it would only be appropriate to go to the city only AFTER we've at least reached Ladydevimon, Nightmare Soldier gotta represent yo.
>>
>>33366023
Yeah, agreed.
I just want to see if we can trigger the LadyDevimon stuff we need so she can finally reach that stage.
>>
>>33365671
Sticking with my vote for the Loch

And on an unrelated note... I know it's not on the chart, but I have to ask.
Is BeelStarrmon a possibility? Because I think it fits a little better than Lilithmon, and also... dayum.
>>
>>33366056
Eh, fair enough.
So, try and get Dead Loch on side, then we'll hopefully get lucky enough and have Sally be much stronger so she can take charge of Nightmare Soldiers and then those forces attack the City?
>>
>>33366056
Also voting to talk to the Ape guy like
>>33365715
suggested.
>>
>>33366125
Daniil has Beelzemon, so that Great Demon Lord is already locked in.
Meanwhile, Sally's fate (and ours) have been pretty clearly staked on Lilithmon (and both Venusmon and Sanzomon know it).
>>
>>33366029
We aren't getting Lilithmon for a while, and there's probably tons of nigthmare soldiers both inside the City and elsewhere in the Digiworld. We need to fix the realm before we sit on our throne.
>>
>>33366168
...Are there?
What Sanzomon said implied that they'd all be in the City, where they're too distracted fighting each other to take over.

Also, hey Gale?
Would Lilithmon's Crest of Lust help us determine if talking to the ape guy would be a good idea?
>>
Seems going to Dead Loch won?
>>
>>33365915
you have my sincere condolences.

>>33365715
Before you leave, something comes to mind. You look to Gokuwmon, standing besides his more holy companion. He might have an answer to a question of yours. Discreetly, you gesture to the side, hoping to talk to him.. The giant monkey catches on and nods, likely a bit curious about what you want to talk to him about. The two of you move off to the side a ways, and he fixes you with a look that says 'talk.'

You decide it'd be better to get this over with quickly after that look.

"I'd like to know what you can tell me about digivolution, if you could." The monkey blinks in surprise, obviously not expecting this.

"What brought this on, Kid, and why me? Why not Sanzomon?" You grimace at his question before answering.

"I get the feeling she doesn't approve of the fact that my partner, a digimon a journey to save the world, is aligned to the opposite of what she is. Sally isn't holy or noble, and that's come up with every powerful digimon we've met here, save one who was more interested in...something else." Seeing the understanding in his expression, you push on. "The only problem is that I don't know what I'm missing. Sally's gotten stronger, a lot stronger, since she last changed, and I feel like I'm supposed to be helping her with this, with getting even better. I just don't know what it is, and was hoping you could... I don't know, give me some advice."

For a full minute, the monkey digimon is silent, before a grin spreads across his face, right before he bursts out laughing. Once it subsides, he takes a deep breath, still grinning.

>>
>>33366322
>...Are there?
Well, probably, even though most of them will be in the City. I doubt all of the Nightmare Soldiers in the City would die, anyway.

Going to bed now, almost 3 AM here in Europe. Have fun, guys. Hope to see you again tomorrow or next week, Gale.
>>
>>33366438

"Kid, I never would have thought you'd come to me with your girl troubles." His grin widens, before falling completely as he looks you in the eye. "But I can only tell you this: every digivolution is different. Each Digimon has something that means the most to them when it comes to changing, growing. Your partner is no different." He jerks his head back the way you came, where the others had remained. "Now, I believe you have a world to save, kid. Call me when the fighting starts, alright?"

You nod, now deep in thought about what the much taller being told you, and start back towards your friends.

So, that's one thing made clear. Now, there's just the matter of where to go next.

The Loch has the most potential right now, with the City being a pretty unsure second.

You rejoin the others, noticing their questioning looks, and wave it off with a grin. It's nothing they need to worry about, after all.

Sanzomon looks to her companion once he returns as well, but the monkey only snorts and shakes his head.

You deliberate a bit more, before declaring your preference of the Loch to the City. Sally readily agrees, as does Daniil. Niklas seems eager to avoid whoever put a hit out on your group, and Zoe...says nothing. The digimon are largely of the same opinion. So, your destination set, you thank Sanzomon for her time and advice, as well as their hospitality, before taking your leave of the hill and the camp proper.

>Travel: 17

The eight of you set off immediately, and you're honestly surprised how smooth the journey is. You pass through the forest you came through earlier, with no interruptions, oddly enough. You aren't complaining however- this gives you a chance to enjoy the trip more, to appreciate your surroundings. Unfortunately, the pleasant forest soon gives way to the now-familiar desolation of a dead zone, and your group is once again on guard. The feeling of a dead zone isn't pleasant at all, to you or anyone else, and you think you see Zoe falter for a bit as you cross over from the living forest to the decayed earth. Her newfound strength seems to kick back in, so you keep quiet about it for now, but resolve to keep an eye on her condition while you're traveling.

You make your way through the deadzone unmolested, and even past the Sovereigns' tower without any fuss. You have to explain the significance of it to Daniil and Niklas, but their expressions at hearing of the gods' tower is worth it.

Soon, though, you're in more unfamiliar territory...

And that's when your luck runs out.

It starts when you cross into another sparse forest; a complete lack of sound. For a place such as this, silence is unnatural. You know this instinctively.

Something is wrong.

The others notice it as well, if Sally's sudden closeness to you is anything to go by. You don't turn back to look at the others, instead keeping your gaze locked on the forest, which is quickly filling up with fog.

"What now, Wayne?" Sally's question is quiet, but even then, far too loud for this place.

"Sally, try a weak Balaluna. See if you can blow some of this away." You suggest, and your partner nods. She raises an arm, pointing into the forest as a small magical seal gathers around the point of her claw. Intoning the spell's name under her breath, Sally sends a small burst of wind forward, cutting into the fog easily. Along the path of the burst, however, you can see movement.

Something is in the fog. The blanket of white fills back in quickly, and is left like nothing had ever happened. You look to the others, and can tell they all saw what you did. Aslan is now in front of the rest of the group, his fists clenched in anticipation. Sally has already prepared another magical seal, and Tesla and Troian are by their partners, ready to act in their defense if need be.

You take a deep breath and steel yourself, before stepping forward, motioning for the rest to stay where they are. Sally sends you a worried glance, but you merely smile and turn back to the forest.

"To whomever is in these woods," You begin, taking care not to wince at how loud your own voice seems here. "My name is Wayne. I am a human from the other world, as are my friends. I assure you, we and our companions mean no harm to you. We merely wish to continue on our journey and request an audience with the one who rules the Loch. We have for them a proposition I believe they might find interesting."

For a moment, there is no answer. The quiet stretches on and on, until...

There. Footsteps.

And out of the fog comes something you didn't expect, despite your previous experience with the unusual.

A centaur. A centaur with a helmet and what looks like a gun for a hand and odd purple growths all over his body.

You're honestly not sure what to think of this.

For what seems like an hour, but was likely only a minute or so, nobody says anything. Then, from the darkness of the helm it wears, comes a deep, echoing voice.

"You seek an audience with the ruler of this land, Laird of the Dead Loch?"

you nod slowly in answer.

"Why should he grant you audience, human, when we have heard whispers from the west of a band of dangerous individuals that are not digimon?" If you could see his eyes now, you know they would be narrowed at you. "What reason do we have to trust you in our lord's court?"

Considering it being not a dead zone might cause others to try and reclaim it.

"Because we're your only hope left of saving your dying world." You answer. The Centaur's posture shifts, slightly, from on guard to surprised, and you take that as a sign to continue. You pull out your digivice, showing it to the digimon before you.
"We were CHOSEN, by the four sovereigns to save your world, and we have support from two of the four hermits and even the Olympus XII. If they thought us worthy enough to side with, then maybe you could too? I swear to you that we are here solely to help you and your world." Then you think for a moment, and add "And you can trust us because chances are, at the moment he could crush us fairly easily. Beyond that, we give you our word - for the duration of our time here, we will not seek to bring harm upon your lord or his people, in exchange for safe passage and audience."

The centaur stills, and then looks to the fog, as though awaiting some answer. And it does receive an answer. There's a flash of blue light from afar, that must be incredibly strong from how bright it is even through the forest and the fog, and the digimon nods, turning back to your group.

"You ask an audience. You will have it. Do not waste his generosity." He then turns and walks back into the woods, obviously expecting you to follow.

You turn back to your friends and shrug, before beckoning them to follow him as well.

The fog is thick and heavy, and there are times when you think you might walk into a tree because of how thick it is. The centaur doesn't lead you astray. His path goes straight through the woods, unobstructed. Things are no longer as silent as they were when you first arrived. There's movement and whispers all around, and once or twice you think you catch sight of a few digimon before they're gone, vanished into the mist. There's a cold that seeps into everything, and the ground grows steadily rockier and wetter the further you go in.

Finally, you reach the end of the wood. It does not taper off or thin, it just ends. At the end is nothing but rocks and water. The Dead Loch. You behold it, and then you behold its lord.

He is massive, if there were any word for it. Golden armor and blue scales, metal skin and claws.

The centaur stops just at the edge of the treeline, and bows.

"My Lord, and the Ruler of this territory..."

"Aegisdramon.

>What will you say?
>>
>>33368805
Crap, I wasn't really able to do much so I'm not sure what our goal here is.

I guess first we greet him, say we're seeking to save this world and ask if he's into that, and if so, if there's anything we can do to help him accomplish that?

Maybe ask about the enemies from the south he previously mentioned? Could they be an enemy team of digidestined?
>>
>>33368930
They were from the west. We're from the south.
>>
>>33368991
Oh right. Then that.

But still, where'd everyone go?
>>
>>33368805
>>33368805
OH SWEET JESUs the fiesta that is going on in my pants right now; It makes me really happy to see one of my favorite digimons make such an appearance, Gale I didn't think it more possible to love you anymore than I already do but you have proven me wrong.

"Master Laird, thank you for granting us the honor of your presence. I'll get right down to business. We are here to save your world, and since you granted us a chance to speak with you, is it safe to assume that you too, in any way, also wish to change this world from the way it is now? If so, then I would like to tell you that we have a plan, but we can't do it alone. We need your strength."

>>33368930
...Aren't we trying to talk the Lords of the Dark Areas into joining our army?
At the very least, we could ask them for information.
>>
>>33369025
>...Aren't we trying to talk the Lords of the Dark Areas into joining our army?
Without figuring out if they're okay with this shit getting fixed?
>all that QM cocksucking
Calm down, dude.
>>
>>33369025
Oh right. But in this current situation, isn't it more like we're joining his army?
>>
Wow I chose a good time to check the quest twitter
>>
>>33369075
Well, they let us speak to them instead of just outright trying to murder us when we said we want to save the world, that means, at the very least, they're probably not against us?

And sorry, I sometimes get a little too excited...

>>33369099
Well either way, an army is made, which is a step in the right direction.... If it turns out that our ideals do indeed match.t.
>>
>>33368805
...shit. After all that, it's at this point I realise I have no idea what to say.

Just... lay out the situation as we know it. Aegisdramon is one of the good types. If we tell him our goals, and that we'll likely have to war with some less than honourable individuals - such as, say, the City lord who put the bounty on us - he may well agree to help. For Justice! And bloodsport!

...and further proof that captcha is sentient;
Alliance feasible
>>
>>33369025
Dunno if I should continue with the rest of the dialogue or wait for what my nigga Aegisdramon has to say, but I guess I'll just write the rest now or whatever. I just basically want to summarize everything and explain our plan.

Also I apologize in advance for I am not the best dialogue writer but I just want to contribute..

"The four sovereigns have told us that the steady decay of the digital world is linked to Yggdrasil's own state of corrosion. They told us that if we find the cause of one, that we will find the cause of the other. So this means that our best bet of fixing this, is by going to Yggdrasil itself, and seeing with our own eyes the maladies that befalls it. But to do that, we must first bring out the Royal knights, who are the only ones capable of opening the way to Ygdrassil. We were told that the Royal Knights have become corrupt, and only come out of hiding in times of great conflict just to partake in the bloodshed.. So our plan is to start a war, probably with the Lord of the city in the West. The Lord of the city has put a bounty on our heads, as it seems he wants to foil any actions that would work towards saving this world. So I ask you, to lend us your strength, to wage war with the lord of the city who wishes to keep this world in ruins, then lure out the Royal Knights, so we may be able to sneak into Yggdrasil and find out the cause of this calamity, and fix it.

tl;dr HELP US SMITE EVIL, HELP US SAVE THE WORLD. FOR JUSTICE, PEACE, AND THE AMERICAN WAY.

You guys feel free to add/change to this what you wish, this is just my contribution since nobody else has much to say..
>>
>>33369344
Eh, don't focus on who we're at war with.

Just say that as ugly as it sounds, it seems like we might need to start a war to reach Yggdrasil.

Like not right now, but eventually.
>>
>>33369539
Fair enough, I realize that it is kind of bad to reveal too much information right from the get go..

Well, first off, politeness. Manners. You're not going to offend something this...BIG.

You wait for a reply, but don't have to for long. The metal beast edges closer, its glowing eyes narrowing as it nears the shore. The enormous digimon opens its maw, and you brace yourself for something akin to Jupiter's thunderous tones, and then...

It bursts out laughing. Oddly enough, the great sea serpent's voice isn't even as imposing as you were expecting. In fact, if not for the volume, it sounds almost..normal. Aegisdramon's laughter finally abates, purely because, it would appear, he's out of breath. As it regains some composure, the great digimon looks to the centaur at the treeline.

"HEY, DID'JA 'EAR THAT?" He asks, and you're astonished to hear an incredibly thick Scottish accent. "HE JUS' CALLED ME 'MASTER LAIRD'! HA!" The shining metal sea monster turns back to your group, his head turned to the side to see you better. "LADDIE, I DINNAE KNOW WHAT YE THOUGHT YE WERE GONNA BE MEETIN', BUT THE ONLY ONES WHO TALK TA ME SO RESPECTFULLY ARE THOSE UPTIGHT BASTARDS WHO SWORE TA SERVE ME OUT OF NOWHERE WHEN AH TOOK THIS LOCH FOR MAH OWN."

He rears back, standing to a fuller height than before. The water cascading off the fuselage and engines on his back just barely misses your group, instead splashing back down to the lake below.

"NOW, YE SAID SOMETHING ABOUT NEEDIN' MAH HELP?"

You honestly have no idea what to think about a massive mechanical scottish sea monster.

>what will you do?
>>
>>33369344

>>33369622
"Well, I assume you're not interested in the world ending? Neither are we.

We're pretty sure to fix things, we need to reach Yggdrasil, but we heard the only way to do THAT is to start a war and wait for the Royal Guard to show up, and sort of... sneak past them?"
>>
>>33369625
I am so sorry

>>33369709
I like this though, let's go with this.

Tell him we get to smite evil, and punch things, and it'll all be really fun.
>>
>>33369622
Based Aegisdramon. Mah mukker. He might have metal on his face, but I can tell even now there's a beard on his soul.

"Well then. We're trying to stop the end of the world.
To do that, we need to get to Yggdrasil, which means we need the Royal Guard to open the door for us.
To do that, we're going to need to grab their attention, and apparently the best way to do THAT is to give them something that's stabbable in large numbers, something to sate their bloodlust on for long enough that we can get through before they close it on the way back.
We need a war.
And for that... we're going to need help."
>>
>>33369843
".....wanna help us blow stuff up?"
>>
>>33369709
The general attitude of this digimon has thrown you off, but you realize that not having to be overly polite has its advantages.

"Well, I assume you're not interested in the world ending? Neither are we." The Dead Zone Ruler lets out a bark of laughter at that, but nods, prompting you to go on.

We're pretty sure to fix things, we need to reach Yggdrasil, but we heard the only way to do THAT is to start a war and wait for the Royal Guard to show up, and sort of... sneak past them?"

This intrigues the digimon, and he leans back down to look at your group.

"SO, YE WANT TA START A BRAWL AND GET DADDY'S ATTENTION, IS IT?" He looks over each of you in turn. "THAS' A WEE BIT SMALL TA BE AN ARMY, LAD. YOU SURE YE KNOW WHAT YER DOIN'?" At your nod, he laughs again. "AND YE WANT ME TA HELP YA...HOW, EXACTLY?"

"Well," You pause, rethinking your polite request of aid into something a bit more informal. "We'd like your help to...in all honesty, smite evil, punch things, go wild." You shrug. "More or less have some fun."

Another round of earth-shaking laughter meets your answer. Once the bellows subside, the Ruler brings one of his claws up and out of the water, slamming it on top of the shore in front of you to leverage himself further.

"YE GOT GUTS, LAD. BIG'UNS. YER ASKIN' ME TA FIGHT A WAR AH GOT NO STAKE IN, JUST FER FUN AND A DISTRACTION FOR YOU." Somehow, the metal that forms his mouth turns up in an impossible smile, wide and full of metal teeth.

"SOUNDS LIKE FUN."

>and with that, I'm going to put it on hold for tonight. We'll pick back up in the morning and continue from here.

Now we just need to get Sally to evolve, and we can aim for getting Nightmare Soldiers to join up.
LadyDevimon has to be decently ranking, so we should at least get Champion-level and below to march along.
>>
>>33370148
You know, I like this guy.
When Lilithmon reaches the world again, he can get to be the steward of a decent chunk of our lands.

I'm guessing, to get her to evolve we just have to put Wayne in perilous, life threatening danger. She evolve to witchmon to save Wayne from overwhelming odds, maybe we just have to do that again? Face something that's too powerful for the current us to defeat, triggering Sally to want to evolve and get stronger with all her will. Or something, idunno.

>>33377524
Of course.

>>33377502
Considering that Sally's embodied sin is lust and that we're apparently already really close, I don't think acquiring her demonic evolutions has anything to do with combat.
>>
>>33377608
Sally would evolve to save us, lust or not. Of course, putting ourselves in such a situation might not be the best idea.

Also, the other chosen need to digivolve to Champion stage before we get our Perfect/Ultimate. It would feel like we are the only chosen ones here otherwise; the other guys should be as strong as we are.
>>
>>33377502
We need to make sure we don't try and force it, though.
Remember what happened to Agumon when Tai decided to be a dick?

>>33377775
Aslan is at least at Champion stage... but yeah, would like Niklas and Daniil to do some work with their partners, catch up to us.
>>
>>33377349
Of coruse not, Lilithmon is a classy lady.
Also, Great Demon Lord > Queen of non-existent Chessmon Empire... we'd have a much better life as LIlithmons trophy husband
>>
>>33377608
Then we penetrate her with our... Digi-soul.
>>
>>33377856
I would prefer to continue handfeeding her food and maybe give her feet a massage or something.
If she wants more, she should take charge
>>
>>33377853
>Implying we can't have both
Also, Queenchessmon is a protector rather than a ruler, she could be our bodyguard.
>>
>>33377835
>Aslan is at least at Champion stage
Yeah, and I remember him spending a lot of time as a Rookie while we steamrolled everything with Witchmon. He (and Zoe, to an extent) was almost irrelevant for a good while.
>>
>>33377928
Yeah I can't help but feel that they aren't really doing much, they're kind of just there most of the time.. Like yeah they have their contributions and moments to shine, but not a lot. But hey, it's still too early to really say, I suppose.
>>
Honestly, I feel that we should focus on training Sally's current skills to mastery so she can access them in her other forms.
I can think of lots of ways that wind and water spells could be useful, mostly relating to maneuverability.
>>
>>33378127
Yeah, they really need to gain relevance. We can't just beat everything with Sally and the occasional Aslan help.
>>
>>33378236
Thtis is a good point. No need to be in such a rush to digivolve.
>>
>>33378420
Although if she does, that's basically the Nightmare Soldiers' loyalty, right there.
>>
>>33377899
Don't think Sally would be in the mood of sharing.
>>
>>33378522
You never know until you try.
Besides, we could probably make the change organic, have faith in Gale.
>>
>>33378548
We'll see.
I'll still be focusing on Sally, myself, though.
>>
>>33378680
Same, for now at least.
>>
Bump, Gale should be back soon
>>
>>33378420
Hey, what were Sally's moves as Salamon again?
I remember one being some kind of scream that would be useful in any form, but were there others?
>>
>>33381441
puppy howling is the only one I think got a name?
>>
>>33381441
Puppy Howling and Petite Punch.
>>
>>33381695
So a paralyzing cry and an augmented punch attack?
Looking at Salamon's profile on the Digiwiki, she should also have tackle attack and a holy laser beam.

Still, puppy howling is really useful and if petit punch does not require a prohibitively long chargeup it might be handy as well.
>>
>>33381799
Mm.
But what Witchmon has seems much better - controlling the elements is just more impressive.
>>
>>33381957
If we master one set, we can work on the other without trouble.
Besides, Balaluna Gale and Aquary Pressure have to hit (whereas Puppy Howling doesn't) and Petit Punch probably requires less chargeup, making it a decent option for close quarters.
>>
>>33382056
We don't have infinite free points, though.
>>
>>33382089
Which is why we have to train.
>>
>Something went wrong and my computer restarted and then froze. If I run at all, it won't be for a while longer.

Well this isn't good
>>
...So is that it for today?
>>
Does anyone feel like there just plain isn't enough encounters in this quest?

It kind of feels like we've just been hiking from powerful NPC to powerful NPC, and they don't have any level appropriate side quests to offer, so we can git gud enough to address the main threats.

Is it because, on the travel/luck role, we keep getting the "nothing happens" portion of the encounter table?
>>
>>33384356
I don't disagree.
I do think we need to power up some.
>>
>>33385233
I agree that that is something we need to do, but I'm not sure where we go to do that, since the City, Titanmon, the Tartarus Chasm, and the Mountain Lord all seem above our paygrade, especially if we want a balanced party and not having Sally do everything.
>>
>>33385617
Well, if there is a battle between the Loch and the City, we should fight some Champions until it's time to go. Or maybe Aegisbromon will set up a training camp for his troops that we can use.
>>
>>33384356
I'm guessing it IS because of the rolls
We seem to always get very good rolls for travel and luck.
And IIRC, when we did get bad rolls, we DID fight. Wasn't that the case with the roaches?

So either we purposely try to get bad rolls, or we try to go out of our way to fight bad digimon.

...or let's ask Gale nicely to set us up with more encounters maybe idunno....

Maybe he has a plan, let's see.
>>
I think the problem is that the story is progressing too fast, or at least it feels like it. We're already about to wage a war against an army led by a clearly higher level digi, then possibly go up against the Royal Knights. We're heavily unprepared for that.

I agree, we need side quests. We need to level up without having the story advance too quickly so we can catch up with all the enemies we'll be fighting.

But eh, maybe Gale does have a plan for it.
>>
>>33385783
That's another thing. I feel like we're moving way too fast towards the endgame. Like it should NOT be this easy or this fast.

As it stands, it feels like we'll be at Yggdrasil within five threads which is ridiculous.
>>
>>33386701
Well maybe Gale's got something planned to happen. Because you're right, everything is going TOO smoothly so far... but maybe that's because we've still to reach that point in all stories where everything sort of just goes horribly wrong and then that's kind of when more problems start popping up to hinder us from our ultimate goal..
>>
>>33387113
Honestly, I'd be hesitant to outright go to war with the city, with all the shit going down, I wouldn't be surprised if something is more than meets the eye there as well.
>>
>>33387280
Well, I'm pretty sure we won't just go to war RIGHT AWAY, that's a very foolish move. There will be a lot of planning and preparing to do, which gives us time to do some side quests and such on the side. And most likely, along the way we'll find out more about the story and what's going on with with all these factions.
>>
Has this been saved?
>>
>assuming we're getting to Yggdrasil without the rest of the Chosen
Wasn't there supposed to be 10 or something?
>assuming getting to Yggdrasil is the end of the quest
Uh, pretty sure the plan was to get to Yggdrasil to find out what's wrong with it. After that we still have to fix it.
>>
>>33387563
I believe he said there would be AT LEAST 6.
I have been wondering about the rest of the chosen though, I wonder if Gale already thought up how they will be, or if we'll have a say in what those other characters will be like.

Anyway, I suppose we still have a long way to go.
