Last time we built a magnificent temple upon the unhallowed grounds near/around the corrupted spring. There we sacrificed said spring along utterly curb stomped the very nasty hero genie totally didn't go through a ton of trouble to make awesome. When said hero went down quite pathetically as sacrifice our forces celebrated the opening of the majestic temple with a grand festival. Later on sadly comes the bad news that being when our forces were looking for materials accidentally pissed off a monster nest and zombie horde.

also forbidden lore still needs to be figured out otherwise I am gonna choose and you may not like that or think it awesome.
>>
Still suggesting Lore should be lore ought to be the secret of Bio-Nuclear power.

Monsters, Zombies, Ghouls, and other factions serve to buffer the Jungle as much as they destroy it. As we continue to spill their blood and drive them out, the Jungle will need to be able to fill in the vacuum of their loss. We will need a jungle who can withstand chainsaws and fire as good as Monsters and as strong as them.

Also we'd have all the power we need when we need it, could even sell some to the bandits.

Well, I like the idea of bionuclear power, but knowing about it doesn't mean we can reproduce it.

I think knowledge of the world beneath our feet... wherever the roots of our plants go, we know what is there. I've heard so much about how the 'underdark' here is too dangerous to mess with, that seems like something worth knowing about.

Plant Sense sounds like it would give us that knowledge anyway, and yeah everywhere the underground exist is filled with nothing but death. It doesn't take secret lore to tell us that after being killed by things down there so many times.

Still though, I want a lore that will follow us outside of this particular Civ.

>horrible growling noises can be heard emanating from below
>a noise like a thousand crawling legs is slowly creeping upward

Then follows us devoting our efforts to stopping the thing and getting killed by it, when we might have done better leaving it alone.

I also really really hate anything in this setting that is vague and not straight to the point. If we get lore, I want it to tell us exactly what it means to tell us

We found the holy grail of materials for several of our rituals (nat100) including jungle imbuing earlier, sadly, it was covered in monsters and zombies.

We know that they are out for our blood, either each others or us.

First, find ourselves a good jungly location we can segregate them and pick them off. A place where we could have our forestry skills shine, and where we can use the trees to our advantage. Their forces are vast, the monsters are strong, but alone or small groups we WILL slay them. Lay and ambush there, and prepare to spill much blood.

Know that the more blood we spill and the more monster/zombie activity will come, so prepare to have multiple of such fallback points in case the fighting is too fierce and pick them off till we bleed them dry.

Once the monsters and zombies have been sucessfully lured away from the resources and materials, grab anything and everything we can as well as as many corpses as we can and haul them back to base.

This will be a good opportunity to test our Chosen Warriors and their "Special Potential". Let us see what they excell at, be it combat, stealth, coordinate, or what have you.

Well goods news we had a good plan...which is the only good news really. While we did attempt to lure monsters into small groups or alone so as to ambush them...well turns out we severely underestimated the strength of the monsters. So when we attempted to fall back it turns out the zombies have caught on to what was going on and headed our way in mass. All the while monsters attempted to place ambushes on the paths our forces took on their way to the fallback points.

Also they didn't hardly budge except for the monsters.

Zombies still stood around dully all around the pile while monsters went after our forces. Except for the problematic zombies who got dragged along who dragged other zombies along who then dragged along others and so on

zombies are swarming you. The chain swarm is both spreading out and getting larger.
>>
>>33320224
Explosives have the unfortunate effect of being loud.
>>
Alright, so we know how chainswarms work. One zombie yells to attract another, who attracts another, until we've got groups attracting groups and a whole heap of zombies coming our way.

First and foremost we must stop and prevent the chainreaction. We're going to need a lot of good strong and brave warriors, some of our best, to go around through the forrest and get behind the swarm.

We now know the monsters have a degree of intelligence to set up ambushes against our own forces, ill news, so be sure to keep in good touch with the Prophetess to avoid those by picking the right path.

We also know that even with the jungle on our side and great bonuses we are not strong enough to take on a monster alone. At least, by ourselves. We'll need to be even more smarter about them and avoid them for now.

Our warriors behind the zombie lines are going to need to start picking off zombies both in the hindmost of the swarm and preemtively killing zombies who might continue the chain through their noise. Once again, the Jungle is our shield and our strength, cut their heads off and slice their necks with a Mechette from behind a bush or above a branch before they have a chance to so much as yell a peep. Shoot them in the back of the head at point blank with a shotgun to muffle the noises.
Prioritize your actions to those zombies with the most threat of spreading the chain. Flora and Jungle naturally buffers noise, so try to lure those zombies back into the forest (and not the ones where monsters are waiting in ambush).

Witch Monika, if you could, make us a kind of brew or a spell of Silence to help us cut the chain by reducing or even hidering noise of the zombies, that'd be better.

Alternatively if you, the Prophet, or any among our chosen have the ability to grow vines and plants quickly that'd be highly useful. Not only would we tied down the zombies and further dismember them, but the increase in plant life would dull or even stop the noise entirely.

>con't
>>
Rolled 68

>>33320489
At any time we CAN dull the noise we should.

“Garbles, you still got those tarps?”

When you see a group of zombies, leap down from the trees or high places and smother them in the Tarps to blind them and cut off their yells, and then take a machete and spill their blood so that the vines of the heart may aid us gods willing. Or if we have anyone or anyway to can control vines, we can drag them into the water and kill them there.

---

As for the swarm already approaching our base, lead them away from our base and into the jungles at all costs, no matter what. Bait them, lure them, use lure brew, lead them around and thin them out.

“Remember brothers, the last time we fought zombies in the forest and blended away before they could struke back at us we beat them hard. We can and will do it again. Blood for our Gods."

We were able to successfully get lots of our forces behind the swarm severing their ability to acquire reinforcements.

Meanwhile the Prophetess has proven to have unusual amount of foresight this time allowing us to avoid the monsters.

Witch Monik meanwhile refuses to aid us with spell or brew for some reason.

Meanwhile the idea of using tarps to nail tarps...went better then expected despite the fact that zombies were able to alert nearby ones but we used it against them to just slaughter more of them. We got lucky there.

Meanwhile we were able to successfully attract the attention of the oncoming swarm leading them away from our base. Against all odds those we selected for this purpose made it out alive...or more precise the sole person who had the guts to go out and lure them away. Sadly the people sent there all returned but one who they claimed continues to draw the zombies deeper into the jungle.

Last time we underestimated the strength and the intelligence of the monsters severely. Not only were they capable of defeating us even alone, they showed the intellect to ambush us in the very place we thought ourselves safe, the Jungle.

This must not stand. WE are the ones favored by the Jungle, not they.

I suggest, we have our Chosen Warriors and our best make probing attacks on the ambush sites. The Monsters are learning from us, we need to learn from them. Test what ways are effective at escaping and avoiding them, ways to trick them and how to watch out for their tricks. If we can learn of any weaknesses from them now that we are no longer underestimating them the better.

The more we learn from them, the better we can fight them. Our chosen warriors need to see what their special potential is, if they were found in combat perhaps they can be refined in combat.

I swear right when I try to catch up crazy rolls stroll in.

Well when our forces sent probing forces they found out the monsters had were still there and yet were not there. Turns out the bastards of some sort of underground warrens that allows them to travel around so easily including ambush positions they had previously established.

As for how to escape one is best off going above. They don't seem to like using the ruins for their warrens their nests though are something else. To avoid one first identify their routes and avoid them. To trick them is to use their stuff against them.

Really though the big problem is...there are many kinds of monsters. Some are stupid while others can be downright devious. Problem is...there are no guarantees it depends upon what you are fighting the type and breed of monster in question. There is no strategy that works for them all...except for what we have seen among two types of figures.

Those known as the hunters and exterminators seem to know something about it.

Problem is monsters are built for...smaller amounts while the exterminators deal much better in larger qualities. So really even for they there is nothing that works for everything they themselves found a specialization granted it works for many but not all.

Chosen by the way acquired specialty...two specs that you have to decide upon.

The M Hunter Spec or M Exterminator Spec.

You can only choose one.

I don't think it'd make them /exterminators/ as in the factions. Those guys are more of a faction archetype than some gained knowledge.

Exterminators would only be good for our OH SHIT situations (which happen all too often, to be fair), we can use Hunters any time in small operations that won't rile up forces we're too weak to deal with.

Basically unless we're planning on picking fights with monster hordes then we'll get more use from Hunters.

>>
>>33324058
That's where we bring our waterlords, after we get these resourcs in I want us to be swimming in the stuff.

Alright, let's make a plan to kill those fucking monsters and get those resources once and for all.
>>
Rolled 68

>Basic 1
Send our Hunters and some forces out to grab the materials in that monster nest while all the monsters are still out following that brave soul.
>>
Rolled 91

>>33324118

The Nest might be pretty empty right now, seeing as the swarm originated there.

Alternatively if we want to be more cautious we could scavenge for resources this turn, and then use them to pay the bandits to assist us in a smash+grab on the Nest next turn.

We might or might not get more out of it the second way. Prophet, what do you see from these two action plans?
>>
>>33324125
>>33324211
Actually I think it's the zombies who were lured away, the monsters are still around in the same number as before. Otherwise, how could we have probed their ambush positions?
>>
Rolled 5

Basic 1
We want that holy grail of materials. We mean to ensure every single monster sitting on top of it is removed by any means.

Accordingly, as the monsters us tunnels to get to their ambush positions, we will need to move through the trees and tall ruins.

Next, we will need to bait them away. We can do this by having our hunters tactically activate their ambush locations in a strategic fashion, and then fleeing up and through the trees away from the ground and their tunnels, slowly drawing the monsters away by using their own methods against them until the Material position is clear for our forces to pillage EVERYTHING they possibly can.

If possible, find ways to kill them while you are at it, hunters.

Either we have cleared it out, or the situation changes to the worse, we pull out and again, avoid the places we now know they use. Prophetess Guide us, and gods be with us.

In addition, there are zombie corpses everywhere, once we've snagged all the materials and resources we can try to grab some of those monster corpses and bring them to feed the Heart as well.
>>
Rolled 82

>>33324255

I dunno, it's unclear. Also it'd be 'relatively empty' at best. This is where the Prophet's sight will be particularly useful.

We should also ask Marlowe how he's feeling. We probably did the ritual of plant sense and ceremony of atonement on Marlowe (seeing as he was the only candidate), and it would pay to know what abilities he acquired.

Especially since Genie isn't giving us Jungle Empathy like we voted on, so we need some other way to talk with the Jungle.
>>
Rolled 56

Troops dispatched to bait the monsters. the hunters work quite will killing a few until numbers get too much...which they did.

Could of been worst though.

Meanwhile the rest of our forces moved through the trees(hard) and ruins(harder). It wasn't fast going by any means, but somewhat safe thanks to the local zombies recently being cleared away.

Only problem is...the monsters as in many of them never bothered leaving the nest. While others took the bait many seemed to stay put despite how tempting we made it look, but the ones who left luckily ended up staying that way.

So our forces are unsure what to do.

We are SO CLOSE dammit, the freaking monsters I swear to the gods we'll bleed them all out one day.

Alright, the way I see it we have relieved some of the pressure from the nest. If we can figure out a way to keep the most of them we've batied away to stay away, and pull out the hunters to help deal with the ones in the nest we'll have exactly the opening we need.
>>

>>

Ugh, we fought so damn hard to keep it all to ourselves but at this point sharing with our allies shouldn't be so bad.

Better than fucking it up alone and then having no resources and dead people.
>>
>>33324942

We can either call in the bandits to keep them out, call in the bandits to help us out with the actual insertion/raid (which would be good because they're bandits and have badass raider units, so they'd pull more materials out than us alone), or call out some more of our military forces to keep the monsters currently lured out in check while our hunters circle back to assist in the raid on the Nest.
>>
>>33325011

Yeah, the deal should appeal to the bandits too. It's like the cooperative raids we had with the Outcasts, except these materials are going to be mostly unappealing to the bandits so we'll get to keep them.

In a sense, instead of 'splitting the materials' in the way it'd normally be done we're 'splitting the materials' by using what materials we need to use to enchant their stuff afterwards.

And it should be tempting to them, even if their home ground isn't particularly green, they come around this forest to operate often enough and they're looking for raid targets around here.

the forces we encountered was...token resistance we had thought it was because the hunters did their job especially well. When we got deeper in however...that was when we found out the truth.

Zombies.

Zombies fucking everywhere.

Even with heavy bandit support there was just too goddamn many of them even worst the terrain we were in was just so fucking against us. It was terrible especially for our bandit allies who discovered the wretched truth the hard way when they were about to tear stuff apart to loot revealing them.

Bandits did their best to withdrawal with an organized retreat covering their forces with suppressing fire alas the terrain wasn't exactly for them so they set up kill zones with turrets and withdrew running like hell the entire time. They did try to hold out for our guys so while they DID grab a number of our forces they didn't exactly stick around for too long.

And it is overcoming fear that we achieve strength, and succumbing to it that we falter.

Remember the words of Genie:
>Every successful civ had one thing in common the plans they used that lead to greatness required big balls.

>Because the dice pool rewards such things the most.
>My SYSTEM rewards such things the most.
>My SETTING rewards such things the most.
We beat the zombies twice now, despite overwhelming numbers on their part. We did it before, we can do it again. Just not now and not for a while.

>The potential losses don't mean shit compared to what happens if you have some success with a plan requiring balls.

This civ is suppose to be a test of that. If we fail then I guess we really are better off going back to being careful as fuck.
>>
Rolled 83

>>33327731

Bah, fine. If we're going to do this then we're going to do it right though. We'll get resources, imbue our weapons and armor, then we're holding another Combat of the Gods and coming at this fuckers with jungle-empowered arms/armor AND with the fury of the trees at our backs.

Then we'll still split some of the loot to the bandits, or at least enchant their weapons because they were kind enough not to blame this failure on us.

Have no idea what to do with it though.

Seriously I never used paypal before.

Just be aware if I DO get fucking paid it means I will start to get a lot more serious. Mostly because I am one of those people who are highly incenvitzed when offered money.

Thankfully I have an actual group now for playing tabletop so having my hobby morph wont be too painful for me.

Question is conversion and playtesting.

I have for the most part the the framework done just got some kinks to work out regarding population mechanics...then well. That is when things get interesting as the next step is framework which isn't nearly so easily(fucking unit types and shit like lists of heroic archtypes and abilitie/trait lists its gonna suck so much ass).

So far i have been able to use /tg/ for basic crude playtesting but eventually I need for detailed stuff especially once things get advanced enough.

At the moment i have two modes for tabletop.

All players either share a civ playing a special unit and or hero who grant a bonus action.

OR

each player gets their own civ to command.

Problem is anon I grant them two of those three.

Yet still they breakdown.

Do you have ANY IDEA HOW MUCH I WANNA PLAY A POST APOC CIV AS A PLAYER.
Well...guess what?

According to dice you get a heroic unit...and not just any lousy hero either.

Oh no you get the offspring between the union of Slag and Eesha.

so...

well...

...problem is said offspring would be considered a 'born bandit'. Your not playing bandits...

Not to mention they do have quite the selection of children granted a number died or worse.

the official ones that i have stuff down for are.

a child who was sold by her very own mother(yeah...) to a witch coven.

Raider who took up mother's abandoned legacy in the cold north.

Ravager who many belief to be her groomed replacement. Leads her old personnel ravager pack.

Warlord who suffers Daddy issues ended up becoming a notor-

In my setting that would ended up creating black holes in all likelyhood unless (MAD) Science! was involved.

I wont deny however there being blackhole guns...or anti matter blasters.

Hell I will even admit there are actual facilities devoted to mass producing anti matter.

Admittedly many of those places are either gigantic craters or blown to bits but still.

It was partly a fantasy civ though, so what they thought "would throw the stars themselves" might've just been little balls of plasma or something.

sounds like that game is much more out there then mine.

I at least commit to the facade of it being somewhat reasonable.

Of course the 'unreasonable' I just put under something like 'Mad', 'super', 'magic', or 'psi'.

which are optional rules and i keep limited.

Mad stuff is oft considered tier 5 BLACK aka REDACTED and for good reason.

>>33328695
It went average as to be expected. Stuff certainly lurks inside but that didn't stop our forces from acquiring some resources which is a good thing considered how long we've been out.

>>33329432

Guess my setting isn't considered 'hard' fantasy or sci fi.

eh.

Need to stop giving tech the lime light it seems though.

Its raw power however is hard to say no to especially considering how little there is that can shrug it off.

hm tempted to share how plasma tech works in my setting and its evolution...
>>

Not to mention being an utter bitch to store which really hampered its usage for range and anywhere but mighty space vessels who could afford to wield it.

Bump. Might I suggest we focus on plant empathy, we will need it now more than ever.
>>
Morninng Bump
>>
Okay, here's what I think we need to accomplish in the next few turns.
1. Perform the Ritual of Jungle Empathy/Find the Materials for it - Now more than ever we must not leave our faith in the Jungle to doubt, our every efforts to strengthen must ensure it won't turn on us when we need it most.

We will need it to gain more resources

2. In addition we'll need to strengthen our plant sense so we won't be ambushed in the jungle and always have a safe escape route
3. Increasing our plant manipulation and plant growth, possibly through magic. The tall trees and ruins are the only way so far to avoid the ground and the monster warrens and zombies. We'll need to be able to manipulate vines to sprout up when and were we need it to easily reach those places. I had hoped the Heart of the Jungle would've spread out long enough by now.
>We need our plant allies to act like our allies

In addition we shall need it to segregate our foes, to divide and conquer. We cannot allow another chain swarm to happen
4. Set to increasing the amount of carniviorous plants, especially underground (and of course, ensuring they don't attack us). If we can thin out the horde slowly over time without having to engage in combat, we should.
>>
>>33333412
To deal with the mass of Zombies, I also suggest another project: The Mouth of the Jungle

It will be of the first of /several/ such places, connected via plantbloodstream to the Heart.

As you all know, in the past two fights we have been effective at fighting the zombies using the Jungle to our advantage. The chain swarm was broken by one leading a large mass of them into the Jungle, where presumably they were either killed or led away.

We shall create, after ensuring ourselves won't be eaten, a large massive garden of vicious carniverous plants and gaping biting maw pits with teeth on the floor. These places, with the right rituals, us and our allies can walk through freely while zombies, even monsters, are grabbed and ripped to pieces. With each we feed it, the heart is fed, and in turn the mouth grows wider. Able to eat more.
>>
>>33333412
>>33333635

I'm all for these, but you expect us to do it within the next few turns?
>>
>>33336156

Because the actual actions we would take would be:

>(Possibly look for the proper materials for the Jungle Empathy ritual)
>Perform the Ritual of Jungle Empathy, to see what the jungle wants exactly

(These being said, I'm going to explain to Genie exactly how his pop system should work so we might get Empathy as a bonus without needing this)
(We also need to be careful, we have resources and food and water right now so we're an attractive raiding target, if we IMMEDIATELY imbue our weapons and armor with Jungle Power then it'll help if raiders come. If we do the paramilitary bandits' stuff afterwards then raiders are even less likely to pick a fight with us)

>Research into the ritual of plant sense so that our forces (or just Marlow) can see/feel through the plants [this will take who knows how many turns]
>Research into improving our plant manipulation [this will take who knows how many turns]
>Getting resources as necessary to continue these research projects, at least our cult compound offers a bonus to this sort of research

>Find carnivorous plants, including ones that like the underground
>Cultivate groves of these carnivorous plants for a very long time using a lot of resources. It'd probably be worth it in the end though.
(If we're going to cultivate groves of carnivorous plants, we'll also want to do so around our base to add to our defenses)
>>
>>33336334
This anon here has the right idea.
>>
>>33336334
We may also benefit from some biological efforts of Ron the Scientist, so perhaps after we finish up Empathy and improved Plant Sense we'll build him a laboratory or better yet since he is one of the Water Lords, a Hydroponics or greenhouse facility.

In fact the other waterlords would likely be of great help to him in that.
>>
>>33336334

I wonder if, with research, we could incorporate the Ritual of Plant Sense in with the Ritual of Jungle Blessing. Apparently a person has to have special qualities to be a candidate, but given research we might be able to have people wearing blessed armor get weird feels whenever the jungle detects threats nearby.

Also, now that I think of it more we would definitely need to perform some rituals on carnivorous plant defenses to make sure they don't eat out bandit allies whenever they come around. We wouldn't want to feed them ourselves though (except in dire straits) because if we did then they wouldn't be as vicious whenever an actual enemy attacked. Also if we're going to cultivate carnivorous plants we're going to need a chicken coop or something, some way to farm meat.
>>
Rolled 77

Just want to add we will need a clean room to keep the plants pollen from hinting every if we mess up. Other wise it will go every where and take over, if it's a stronger plant.
>>
Rolled 45

>>33336868
Bug farms are way cheaper to maintain.
>>
>>33336977
Of course, we'll need a secure research facility.
>>33337005
Symbiotic bugs of course. I think any sort of monster that aids in plant growth should be spared.

I wonder what is behind the "Forbidden Door"
>>
>>33337072

I took that to mean that our compound gate was enchanted.

Though now that you mention it, it probably is something that we should ask about. We all know how Genie likes to give us awesome things and then not explain them.

Oh, by the way, I think that we're in the Grow Corp Civ's jungle area. Or nearby it anyway.
>>
>>33337142
Gods help us if it turns out we're in the Mueke, but we would've encountered the Sa'al well by now.
>>
>>33337142
Meaning that if we find some slavers they might have some slaves that happen to know a lot about turning plants into resources. Some grow personel would make a great addition to the cult
>>
>>33337238
I would be surprised if there weren't at least a few Grow Corp Branches who did end up following some sort of plant cult. Maybe not us, but many others.
>>
>>33337205

I was looking through my notes, and you remember those 20 refugees 'blessed by the jungle'? They brought word of strange zombies that emit spores when they die, and others that guard strange plants.

20 refugees blessed by the jungle. Bringing word of those particular type of zombies. And Genie cursed a bit upthread about us "Choosing the same time period".

Just something to look into. Even if it Grow's tower IS around and reachable...it turned into some sort of giant plant when that civ died, so it probably wouldn't have much salvageable anyway.
Then again, the plants obey our will.
>>
>>33337273
I'm going to come out and say it, I want growbots
>>
Hey, now that we have ritual knowledge we should know exactly what the Ritual of Plant Sense (and possible the Ceremony of Atonement) did. We should ask about that next thread, or this one if Genie comes around soon enough.
>>
>>33337310

Then keep working on your bandito bot fluff.
>>
>>33337310
Then we'll need to get Ron his lab soon. Everything in due time though.

On that glorious day we manage to triumph over the Zombie mass and reach our resource Holy Grail, anything we wish will be at our disposal.

Be it to make a behemoth, or Plant-Borgs monsters. It's just a matter of staying brave, faithful, but above all, smart.
>>
>>33337282
The only plant from grow i would want to talk to is currently flying around with great train in the sky and it's band of merry rapists.
>>
By the way, I forgot to ask but did we lose our 10 original Chosen Monster Hunters?

We shouldn't leave them like we did those other splicers we left behind. At least confirm their deaths, and if possible retrieve their bodies and give them an honorable end as a gift to the Heart.
>>
>>33337385

Their tower became a plant, or are you too thick to get that?

>>33337362
I'm not sure where you think we're good at science, or where you think we're going to get scientific equipment and facilities from. I rather like playing as blood-obsessed cultists and playing with magic anyway.
>>
>>33337422

It wasn't stated that they died, and hopefully Genie would state if a force like them died.
>>
>>33337385
Next civ we should do an offshoot of the bloodsnow, a bandit/cult to the rape train.

So obvious, we should have done it sooner. Rape train is our greatest ally, also let's give madness another go..
>>
>>33337282
Sadly I am not exactly sure where previous civs fit time frame wise puts me a in weird limbo.

Memory Lane is basically SPHESS edition.

Green Growth is when its been long enough things have largely recovered but that also means a lot of stuff has been tapped out big time even the hard to reach stuff. On the plus side big time threats have also largely died down.

Chaos is around the Fall lots of risk but lots of reward but just as its name states it truly is utter chaos.

Blight is after chaos where things have calmed down...slowly decaying among the hulks of the old. Risky but still most rewarding.

Darkest Hour is after blight and before Green Growth. Its referred as such because most stuff has been tapped out while the threats are still managing to hang on. Its basically NIGHTMARE mode due to lots of danger and little reward.

Not exactly sure where Pre Timeline civs fit into things.
>>
>>33337498

Hey, so our Ritual Knowledge let's us know exactly what the Ritual of Plant Sense and Ceremony of Atonement did the Marlow, right?
>>
>>33337498
Could use suggestions.

I am torn between blight, darkest hour, and green growth the most though.

>>33337549
Ritual knowledge...if you have the information on the rituals then you have the know to to decipher them including what they do and the risks involved so yes.

btw the jungle who adore so much?

Doesn't share the same feelings.

AND your powers only really work for a jungle that is 'yours'.

The current one is not.

As for what it did atonement basically made you pay a price for forgiveness very powerful ritual but very costly.

Plant sense merely enables one to sense things...in strange ways. Most useful for identifying with plants and their views as well as how they look at things(which is very alien).
>>
>>33337703

Why do you even let us take bonuses when they're not going to do anything?
>>
>>33337785

I mean, you wonder why your civs die so often and so fast, but then you let us take a ton of bonuses related to the jungle...that don't have an effect because it's not 'our' jungle or something like that.
>>
>>33337703
How is this not "our jungle" we defended it from corruption, we have lived here for god knows how long.

Is there a ritual of ownership or can we pledge fealty to the jungle?
>>
>>33337802

Don't get me wrong, I'm a player and I didn't have a hand in creating this civ so if it dies it's a disappointment and it dies...but with the amount of work you put into every place that we play it just seems odd for you to let us make such an obvious and deadly mistake.
>>
>>33337916
That's kinda what I like about it, we are just 200 some odd dudes, if we don't think of what to do, or use what we have it's because our dudes, and by extension us, are incompetent. Just like real life.
>>
>>33337960
Discovery is part of what makes it fun, but not bullshit discovery like "Your powers all do jackshit because this jungle isn't 'yours'."
>>
>>33338039
Maybe we have to earn the right to call the jungle ours, we haven't done much to get the jungle on our side or anything...
>>
>>33337426

>>
>>33337785
because i figured you would of chosen a bonus or something that tied it all together.

>>33337802
What are rituals for?

>>33337876
It needs to be 'yours' in order to take full advantage of your powers.

>>33338039
Your abilities do have affect just to a lesser degree. For full affect you must make the jungle 'yours'.
