"Hold on a moment." You stand up from your chair and point at the unfinished coffee and cake, "Aren't you going to pay for that?" You put your hands on your hips and you're sure at least a few bystanders heard you.

They both blink at the same time and Mirror Spear bursts out laughing while Mirror Shield puts her hand to her mouth and walks towards you, "What use is money in a world that is going to get destroyed anyways?" She glances down at both the drink and dessert and shrugs, "Besides we don't have any of that useless stuff."

Michiko stands up from her chair and puts her hand on your green-haired sister's shoulder who smacks it away. Michiko has been glaring at Shield ever since she stood up. "Come on Spear, we're leaving."

"Alright!" She hops behind the taller girl.

Those two are going to be a problem.

"Your sister is a gigantic bitch." Michiko finally says after they turn a corner in the mall. Some people are staring at you two and you decide to leave before you call in more attention and that's when you feel a hand on your shoulder and see another on Michiko's.

"Aren't you going to pay ladies?" You hear the twenty-something waiter say in a smooth jazz voice and Michiko looks at her purse sadly.

"They didn't have to choose the most expensive cake and the most expensive espresso but they did it anyways!" Michiko yells out to no one in articular in a park near the shopping mall, "They soured my day." She says in a more normal volume.

"Mirror Shield does that." you say and take a sip from your juice can.

She pouts and sits on the bench. She could use some cheering up, it might cheer you up as well.

She smiles, "You know, you sound just like Momoko when you talk like that." She says with a smile on her face. Damnit! And she begins laughing, "Hah! You fell for it." She stands up and grabs you by your upper arm, "You better be up for this, there are a lot of places."

It was mid-afternoon when you started and Michiko gave you a COMPLETE tour of her other favorite shopping center. A group of four five story tall buildings in opposite corners of an intersection. One of them was for many different clothes stores, Some of those whose price tags made your jaw drop (Michiko said she like to come and browse sometimes and never buy). Andother one of the the buildings was a huge electronics store with an arcade in the third floor. Your companion was nice enough to buy you a card to play on those "Gundam Pods" Whatever that is.

You try that game and get your ass completely handed to you as you fumble uselessly with the controls. Yeah...you're not good.

The other two buildings didn't have a theme to them, the had all sorts of book and music shops which Michiko came out of with a few CDs she liked.

"Akira said that she did not have the need for another full-time maid so I work part time there and part time here." If she wasn't hiding her features you could swear she would be wagging her small scaly tail like a dog. As long as she doesn't hug you you'll be alright.

"Either way, you seem to be hanging in pretty well." You look at the girl who is part dragon.

"Unlike someone I know." Mihiko chimes in with a smile on her face.

"Oh shut up!"

Thankfully it was the end of Matilda's shift so you decided to wait for her to finish changing out of her uniform and she hugs you as soon as she exits the restaurant and leaving you short of breath, but not as much as before. "Your'e getting better at this." You grunt out as she lets go of you.

She scratches her cheek nervously, "I have been practicing on keeping my strength under control, if I am not too careful things just...break." She looks at her hands, "Unless it's stone, I don't have to worry too much about that but here everything is made from wood or weak metals."

"It sounds like it sucks." Michiko adds.

At least everything is peaceful.

"What do you mean that TV's don't work with magic? What other way would you be able to send images from far away instantly?" Matilda asks completely astonished that she is actually wrong about this.

"Not only TVs but everything we use, we use machines that can talk with each other using radio waves. That's the easy way of saying it. I don't think I know the hard way of explaining it."

"You mean that Radios and everything else is like that?"

"Yep, and they're powered by electricity. See those cables over there?" Michiko points a several sets of cables, some of them are hone lines you think but good enough, "Everything is powered by electricity that flows through it. Like water except it can kill you if you touch it the wrong way...uh its kind of the difference between wildfires and cooking fires. Except this is lightning and electricity." She kind of explains it, you're not really sure how it works yourself but you got memories of another girl in your head so you've been able to manage.

"That is pretty convenient." Matilda takes a sip from her water and looks upwards as the park begins to light up with the setting sun. "Maybe I will do something like that in my kingdom after I get it back."
