Not to be a debby downer, but that's false as well since "the task" can vary between running a mile to keeping us alive while we sleep.

There's no exact proof on exactly what percentage of our brains we actually use, but the fact that an adult brain has certain parts that if removed, can be life threatening and life altering and at the same time, while a child's brain can have large portions removed and still be functioning normally.

But I can safely say that we probably use more than 10 percent whether we know it or not especially as an adult.
