Previously, on Avaar Quest.....

After your fight, Galda proceeded to run off into the woods. Her sister, Felna, decided to go after her, and you, feeling responsible, joined her in the search. Eventually, the two of you located Galda in a creek bed. She was wounded, missing one of her daggers, and fighting a Crocodile Wolf. Using your bending, you distracted the creature, giving Galda the chance to kill it. Felna ran down into the creek bed to help her sister, and you noticed a large Shark Bear approaching the pair. You warned the girls, who ran to the slope leading out of the creek, but found themselves unable to climb it. You helped them out just before the beast would have caught them. Galda grudgingly thanked you, but made it clear that she still had a very low opinion of you. The next day, you found that Felna was not at camp, so you went looking for her, finding her in the same creekbed, sweaty and breathing heavily. She told you that she had been practicing her fighting, and was amazed when you managed to create Earth Stairs leading out of the creek. You returned to camp with her, and told everyone about it. Everyone other than Galda (who didn't care in the slightest) followed you to the creek bed for a demonstration. Everyone was amazed by your new ability, although, when you returned to camp, you were met with ridicule from Galda. You ignored her taunts, and actually managed to throw her off balance with a simple retort before returning to the creek to train. Felna tagged along, offering to train with you. You began your practice by trying out several new abilities. Felna thought they were great, and challenged you to a sparring match. The match ended quickly when the two of you got your backs cut up in the creekbed. So, the two of you decided to find somewhere else to spar.
>>
>Welcome to Avatar Quest. Here are the rules.

Decisions are made by vote. Each vote has a ten minute interval, after which, the option that receives the most votes it the one that is chosen.

There are no write-ins unless explicitly stated

Some options require rolls. In that event, rolls will be out of 100. Whether rolls succeed or fail is decided by the first three rolls. If one passes, then you succeed regardless of the other two. Rolls will really only occur during training, or when trying something new.
All decisions are final. If you regret voting for something, too bad. Think carefully before you make decisions.

Try to keep waifu bullshit to a minimum.

As she rushes towards you, you create another pillar, but this time, under yourself. It rises quickly and on an angle, throwing you into the air towards your approaching foe, who stops in her tracks in shock. You crash into her, knocking her onto the ground, and landing on top of her. You look down at her, pinned beneath you.

She winces a bit. "Maybe a creek bed wasn't the best place for this," she says, looking up at you.

"Yeah, now you know how my back felt from that kick," you tell her, getting up and offering her a hand. "Let's call it a draw."

She nods, taking your hand and letting you help her up. "Works for me. That last attack was pretty great. If you'd had a sword or dagger, I would have been screwed. Still, too bad that was so short."

"Want to go try to find a better spot and do this again?" you ask.

She smiles. "Sounds like fun. Did you have anywhere in mind?"

"Yeah, it does," Felna agrees.

"Maybe we should bring everyone here later," you suggest. "We could try to set up a town nearby, too."

"That might work," she agrees. "But for now, how do you want to get over to one of the beaches? Should we swim?"

"Let's go around," you suggest.

"Works for me," she tells you before breaking into a sprint and heading left.

You run after her, and the two of you soon reach one of the beaches. Felna takes a few steps away and then turns to face you, smirking.

"Ready for round two?" she asks. "This time won't be a draw; you're going to lose, plain and simple."

You get into a horse stance and chamber your elbows at your side, thrusting them upward and creating a pillar of sand beneath Felna.

This seems to catch her off guard, as she has a look of bewilderment, probably surprised that you managed to create a large structure capable of supporting he weight out of sand. She is hurled into the air, and at the same time, you launch yourself into the air, crashing into her and knocking her to the ground. You come down on top of her and pin her beneath you. She struggles for a few seconds, then chuckles.

"This seems familiar," she teases. "At least this time my back doesn't hurt so much."

You get off of her, causing her expression to turn to one of confusion as she sits up.

"What, are you giving up?" she asks, confused. "Or did you just think I was beaten and not care to hear me surrender?"

In answer, you cause the ground beneath her to fall, dropping her into a hole. She lets out a surprise yelp as she falls several feet before landing with an "oof". You let the hole drop another few feet, making it higher than her head, and higher than her arms can reach.

"I'm just fucking with you," you tell her, creating another pillar beneath her and lifting her up out of the hole.

As she steps out, hands clenched into fists, her face red, and her teeth grinding, you add "I surrender."

She trembles with anger in front of you, taking a deep breath, and managing to slowly calm herself down. He breathing becomes more even, her face returns to its normal color, she stops shaking, and her fists unclench.

"Fine," she tells you.

She sighs, "It's alright. You're forgiven. Just try not to do that again."

She gives you a small smile, and a laugh ."You're lucky you gave up when you did, though. I was about ready to break your neck."

You're starting to see some similarities between her and Galda.....

She shakes her head. "Anyway, I need to wash some of this sand off. I'm going to go wash off. Go into the woods, or back to camp or something; if I see you peaking, I'm going to blow your head off."

With that, she makes her way towards the lake.

You find yourself curious, and so peak around the corner to find the source of the sound. You're not sure what you were expecting; a fish, a Shark Bear, this isn't quite it.

The creature before you is massive, even in comparison to the beasts you have fought previously. It stands atop four powerful legs, each as large as you are, and thicker than your body. The legs support a massive body covered by a great shell. It's head is much like that of the Shark Bear; that of a fish with razor sharp teeth, and a curved fin curling back towards its body. You've never seen a creature like this before, and you probably aren't glad to see it now.

It sniffs the air, its head turning towards the wall that hides you and Felna. You duck behind it, and find that Felna is doing the same from the other side.

"That thing is huge," she tells you, stating the obvious. "You think we can take it?"

"No, we need to run!" you tell her.

"Fine," she replies. "Let's head back the way we came, the last thing we need is to get lost on top of all of this."

"Don't stop until we reach the stairs," you tell her.

She nods, getting ready to dash. You quickly push the wall towards the creature. It moves slowly, but picks up speed, crashing against its large target, which lets out a roar of surprise and anger.

You and Felna spring into action, dashing back the way you came in an effort to get around the lake. The creature lets out a roar and crashes into the water, crossing the lake far more quickly than the two of you, coming out and blocking your path.

Felna growls and clenches her fists, pulling her right one back, clearly preparing to fight the beast.

"Don't stop!" you tell her. "Keep going!"

"Are you insane? I'm not leaving you to fight this thing alone!" she shouts back.

You attempt to open a hole to swallow the creature up, creating it directly beneath the center of its body. Unfortunately, you find yourself unable to create anything nearly big enough, and the creature keeps coming, stepping over the hole like it's nothing and opening its mouth wide to swallow you whole.

Beside you, Felna gives a resigned sigh. You pulls her fist back again and punches forward. To your shock, a jet of flame explodes from her fist, striking the creature directly in the face.

The creature lets out a shocked cry and takes a step back, shaking its head wildly.

Not saying anything, you step forward and create a pillar beneath its head. The pillar rises quickly and slams into its jaw. Felna follows this with another fire blast, causing the creature to cry out and stagger back further. The two of you repeat this action, you slamming its chin with a pillar, and her blasting it in the face with fire. The creature rears back onto its hind legs, crying in fury and pain.

"Now!" Felna tells you.

You seize the opportunity, quickly pulling up a massive column of Earth that slams into the creature's chest, pushing it onto its back. It kicks its legs wildly, but is simply unable to right itself. It lets out loud cries that quickly turn to pitiful whimpers.

At your side, Felna is silent.

You create a massive wall next to the creature and slowly push it into the lake. There is a massive splash as it falls in. It resurfaces and stares at you. And, for a moment, you thing it is going to attack once again. Instead, it turns and swims away.

You turn and find Felna giving you a slightly confused look, probably wondering why you would do something as risky as saving the beast that just tried to kill you. Her expression changes quickly, however, to one of fear. You remember the resigned look she had when she used her firebending in front of you, and her insistence that you not spy on her when she's alone in the creek bed. Clearly, she doesn't want anyone to know about her little secret.

"If you don't want me to tell anyone, that's fine," you say simply.

She walks over to you, and you expect to receive a threatening speech about what will happen to you if you let her secret slip. Instead, she throws her arms around you and hugs you.

"Thank you," she says after pulling back, a warm smile gracing her features.

(To be continued)
