Welcome back to Transformer Quest sorry for being late
Made some changes to the rules:
Teleport now costs 20ER, this has been added retroactively but Kracken ate the Brute, his power pack, and a bunch of other stuff so his ER is at full capacity.
Ranged weapon cost ER to fire. Don't worry though, Gyro and Copper aren't in any danger of running out yet.
I will now be setting difficulties to rolls where required. There will be a number of successes needed for certain tasks.

---------------------------------------------------------
It took a while to dig the old soldier out of the rubble. Chunks of hard yellow plastic and rusty steel girders being heaved about while frayed yet live wires taking a more delicate touch. Copper remained in bright spirits through it all, reminiscing about getting stuck in various ways across a wide range of battlefields. The Arachnid Extermination War, the border skirmishes with the Tau and Zentradi of the Vestial Imperium, the Dread world. It's impressive really.

While you worked Gyro took some energon rations from the fallen and maintained watch in case other Decepticons reared their faceplates.

Once he was free the three of you moved on.

Picking up the still unconscious junky and traveling through the twisting corridor, you pass numerous empty rooms and sealed doors. Florescent lights provide weak illumination from the ceiling, here and there a dead light leaving gaps of shadow.

Ascending a staircase you enter an arcade, the area on your right open to the air and a single door on the wall that extends along the left side. Luckily the rains is angled away from your side leaving the way clear, but you wrap the junky in Coppers' tarp to protect his fragile form just in case. While Copper checks through the door Gyro watches you with a curious look on her face.

"So you wanna tell me why your carrying that scrap metal around anyway? Is he a light snack for later?" she only sounds half joking.

>They aren't scrap yet. It's surprising really.
>I took their only joy, can't just offline the thing.
>Don't really know. Just doing what I can.

You lean back on your haunches after folding the ends in and speak with out looking up at her.
"They aren't scrap yet. It's surprising really."

"Oh?"

You look up at her. "He looks about ready to fall apart but each time he has been awake he's all fight. There's some spark still in this bot."

"That right there," she says pointing to the bundled form," is a burned out wreck. He's probably done nothing but sit in a fantasy the entire war."

You sigh, feeling the weight on your joints like few times before. "Copper and I weren't much different. 'cept our fantasies were what was and
what could have been."

She scoffs at that "Oh scramble that noise, I came to you a century and a half ago because I heard you were the only one doing ANYTHING.
Tales of some monstrous bot terrorizing the backstreet gangs in Uraya, keeping things peaceful. You are not some fried circuit board waiting for the capacitors to stop firing."

You huff at that.

Copper comes tromping back through the door, looks at the tall brown bot then to you.

"That way's just back the way we came. 'nother set o' stairs, but ah doubt we're headin' up."

"Right, straight ahead we go." Gyro says.

As you pick the junky up and stand Gyro stops you.

"Here, sling him over me, you get on Copper. We'll transform and get moving."

Your scowl becomes some what lighter. Though others would need a microscope to notice.

"Thanks for the offer, but we need to be alert for Decepticons."

Gyro shrugs at this and the four of you move on. To your right the acid rain falls, a clear green/yellow, and obscures your vision of the other side of the arcade. The rumble of explosions can be heard and they sound closer than before.

Moving out of the arcade and into another hall way your group continues on for a bit before a loud, rolling bang makes you all jump. Along the wall you see cobalt beetles, roughly half the size of your hand clinging to the surface. There are a dozen of them, their wings folded into a cone shape.

"Thunderbugs." Gyro says unamused. She flicks one and its snaps the hammer on its back again, the sound amplified by its wings and echoed by the others around it.

As you travel on you come across more rooms. Filled with crates, cases and lockers it looks noticeably neater then other areas.

Gyro stops at one of the open doors and looks in, hand on one hip. "We're getting close to the market. These rooms were probably used as storage, might be something of use here."

"Doubt they left anythin' o' value. Also doubt we should stop movin'. No telling when the fireworks start droppin', tryin' t'put th'razzle dazzle on us." Copper says while glancing behind him.

We'll take a quick look, but I want us moving a soon as possible." You say.

Copper takes the burnout from you. "Ah'll keep mah perceptors a receptin'."

You head through an open door on the right while Gyro goes left. There are a few crates in this room but they have the look of prefab building materials. Moving on you find another full of crates and a locker, though the light indicates it's locked. Quickly checking the third and final room you see a bunch of cases and a bundle of collapsible poles.

Taking a pole you return to the second room and strike the locker with it. You grunt in effort as a second strike hits the keypad and breaks it, sparks shoot out of it and the door swings slightly open as the magnet lock disengages.

Inside you find a portable energon converter. The small cube like device is capable of taking liquids and energy cells and converting them to usable energon, though it's not very efficient.

"Nice." Copper coments, having come to see what the noise was.

Carrying your find you go to find Gyro and see her in the third room. She spin on her heal and smashes a case against the wall. It cracks open and out spill a shattered telescope.

She looks at you, shrugs, then drops the case.

With a look of wry amusement you hold up the converter.

"Oh good. Glad one of us found something."

the three of you continue on. Copper carrying the junky, you with the converter under one arm and the pole resting on you shoulder.

You travel through another hallway, then come to a roofed overpass between this building and the next. The roof leaks, letting the caustic rain trickle down in a couple places. You and Gyro are able to move around them but some drips on Copper as he tries to squeeze his wide frame through. He curses, but doesn't seem too affected.

Passing through a hallway Copper stops.

"Hey, you all hearin' that?"

The three of you stop and stand still. After a second you here a distant, high pitched whine. It grows louder and you recognize it as a jet engine. It gets closer and closer and you feel a jolt in your spark case as things click in your processor.

"Away from the windows!" you roar. Turning, you grab Copper and lift/shove him sideways. Gyro, the fastest of the three, is already cartwheeling into a room.

As you dive over Copper and begin dragging him and the bundled junky through the door an explosion goes off, then another. The street next to your building erupts in a series of fireballs, the concussive force blowing out most of the windows in the hall you were just in. Glass and acid sprays inward and you and Copper get hit by the shrapnel.

>-2HP

Copper, cursing in languages you don't even recognize, struggles upward and turns to you.
"Now THAT was to close fer comfort!"

You nod at him and look around. The pole lay out on the floor where you had dropped it pushing Copper over and was slowly disintegrating as the acid spray ate away at it, but you still had the converter all in one piece and the junky was safely wrapped in the plastic tarp.

You call out "Gyro! You all right?"

There's a clatter then, "Yeah, I hit a desk but I'm fine!"

You sigh in relief.

"We gotta move now!" Copper urges. The rain isn't blowing in through the windows, and the spray on the floor isn't enough to burn through the tough metal of your feet so the two of you meet up with Gyro and decide what to do next.

>Keep moving down this hall, the market isn't too much further.

Great noxious clouds of smoke billow up from the street, lit from below a bright orange.

Your scowl twitches slightly as you grind your metal teeth.

"Alright, I want us away from the fire. Everyone huddle up."

Crowding around you, Copper grabs your arm with one hand while holding the junky bundle with the other. Gyro grabs hold of your other arm and you -zzap- to the other side.

While being a mirror of the previous hallway, this one has its windows intact, if a bit cracked in places. The three of you begin to run onward with your audio receptors on full alert for another attack.

Moving quickly you head out of the hall and down a flight of stairs. Fire and smoke greet you on this level so you continue down.

To more levels of fire and collapsed architecture and you find yourselves going below street level. You travel further down, until you find a clear tunnel going in roughly the direction you want.

>(continued)
>>
>>33120278
The tunnel is a winding circular steel affair. Light strips along the sides light your way, metal grating lining the floor to provide a flat walking surface.

Though you try to remain aware of your surroundings you find that your mind is constantly drifting to thoughts of what to do next. Once you reach the market there was no guarantee that there would be anyone there. Or that the Decepticons wouldn't already be swarming the place. As you envision a swarm of the purple punks your mind changes them to a swarm of insecticons and you grimace. There were few worse things that could happen but that was one of them

Moving at speed down the twisting path, you almost run headlong into a pair of Decepticon scouts. One red, the other orange and grey, insignias in bold purple on their shoulder guards, they look towards your running figures with surprise.

You turn sideways and arrest your momentum with an extended foot and bark out a command.

"Hands off your weapons!"

The two Decepticon freeze, a mixture of surprise and fear halting their hands. Surprisingly Gyro and Copper also stop reaching for their guns as they slow to a stop.

You take a step foreword, bringing you within arms reach of the pair.

"Keep those hands where I can see them." you say flexing your own hands and rolling your shoulders back. The red Decepticon glances quickly to his partner who simply stares in shock.

"Optics foreword!" you growl and his eyes snap towards you.

"Now, your going to tell me what you are doing down here and who else is with you."

The orange Con responds with "We're just looking for Autobots." there is a slight tremor in his voice. The reds' hand drifts closer to the gun at his side but freezes once more when you glare directly at him.

"And?" you prompt.

"There are some other scout groups, like a dozen all over the place." the orange one responds again.

"We don't know where they are though." the red one interjects, glancing at his partner again.

"Looking for a fight eh?" you sneer at him.

"No!" he says a little to quickly, "We're just supposed to report their position, wait for reinforcements. There's hundreds of our comrades in this city." he says with false confidence. A hundred in the city, but only two right here.

You nod and turn your head, glaring at the orange one then turning it further so that you aren't looking at either of them.

With a growl you lash out with your left fist, smashing it into Red's face and sending him sprawling to the floor. Orange turns slightly to watch his partner go down and that's all the opening you need. Grabbing his left arm with your right hand you twist it and step behind him. He yells as you proceed to lift him up by that arm and walk foreword, stomping on the downed Cons' midsection as you go. He convulses with a groan.

You slam Orange into the wall and bring your face up next to his audio receptor.

"You know showing some proper courtesy is a rare thing now a days, back in my time people where a lot more respectful. Had the decency to at least pretend to be ashamed of their misdeeds. You get me punk?"

"Yes s-sir!" he says with a panicked stutter.

You pull him away from the wall for a moment then slam him back.

"Are you ashamed?"

He looks at you sideways, sees your glowing red eyes, your sharp teeth, both in your mouth and circling your shoulders and yelps.

"Yes! Primus yes I'm sorry! I just wanted the mods! Slag, they said I would be fast! I just wanted to go fast!"

Another growl rattles its way out of you and you turn and toss the Con down the tunnel.

"Then you run punk! You run as fast as you can and you keep running! Maybe you wont see me again!" and he does, on all fours at first as he stumbles from the throw. When he gets his feet under him he dashes away. After a few dozen meters he transforms into a motorcycle and speeds off.

You turn to the fallen Decepticon and see him pinned down by Coppers' heavy foot. Copper has his rifle at ready and he's watching you with an air of professional respect. Gyro looks somewhat shocked.

You walk over to the red Con with a slow, heavy stride. When you reach him you squat down, slamming your palm into the grate next to his head. He looks at you, his mouthplate crushed inwards and eyes leaking oil.

You give a sharp toothed snarl "Well punk this is where we part ways, but let me tell you," each word growls out from a clenched jaw and the teeth on your shoulders begin rotating around, "You meet with me again in a dark alley like this?" You lean in till your foreheads are pressed against each other.

"RUN."

You lift yourself up and deliver another blow to his face, knocking him unconscious.

Moving on, your group travels in silence for awhile. Your anger drains away, and eventually you ask, "How's our friend doing?"

Copper shift the bundle on his shoulder and takes a moment to reply.

"Ah think he came to a bit ago, but went right back out. He's a fading fast ah think. Needs a bit of a tune up if ye wan'em t'last."

That wasn't good. At this stage even there was something to convert to energon for him the converter would probably finish off his fried system.

"When we get to the market we'll find someone for him." you say

"And if'n there's no one with any kinda chop shop know how? Or anyone at all?" he asks, voicing your own concerns.

"There should still be some kinda of rudimentary first aide, it would be better than nothing." Gyro says helpfully.

The tunnel ends at a four way split. The side paths being more tunnels while the way ahead was a stairway going up.

Climbing it for several flights your group enters a vast room, easily a couple square kilometers large. All around are small shanty like buildings, storehouses made of easily assembled plastic, tents of tarp and tin roofed hovels.

The stairway exits through an arch made of bronze that sits somewhere close to the middle of the room.

Your hear a raised voice not to far off and your group moves towards it with caution. Peering around a stall you see a group of refugees standing in a loose semicircle around a figure who stood on the top of a shack and was shouting passionately at the crowd.

You freeze upon seeing the figure and an old, bitter anger swells in your spark.

"Pax."
