>So what is this, anyway?
A quest set in the Gundam franchise's Universal Century, UC 0083.

>How does voting work?
You'll have 15 minutes to vote on a course of action, and roll if that's required. The first three rolls for the winning course of action will be considered, with higher rolls being better. Write-ins are encouraged, and may end up worked into an update in some form. This is especially true for dialogue.

>How can I get caught up?
I have just the thing for you:

>Neat. So when do you usually run?
Saturdays and Sundays, starting at 10pm UK time (5pm EST; 2pm PST).

>Do you have a Twitter?
Sort of. You can find me at @QMKingofHearts, but I don't use Twitter aside from announcing threads.

The date is April 18th, UC 0083. You are Lieutenant Commander Dominic O'Hara, mobile suit ace and 19 year-old veteran of the One Year War, and yesterday was a rather bad day. You and your team were assaulted in the exercise room by EFSF regulars of the SCV Kyongju, who were still angry over the battle at Axis in which several of the Kyongju's own mobile suit pilots were killed or wounded by Haman Karn. Your team managed to beat them senseless, but at a cost: none of you went unscathed and two of your team members have been put out of commission for a few days.
(1/2)

The artificial "morning" aboard the Kyongju finds your team reluctant to leave your quarters. Karen is sitting up in Audrey's bunk reading through some paperwork Reiko prepared yesterday morning before the incident, and Audrey is playing with a dataslate. You're not sure what has her so absorbed, but she certainly seems to think it's important. Haman and Reiko are both still asleep, and the sisters are awake but have neither moved nor spoken for the last half hour or so.

As for you, your priority is to:
>Check on what Karen is doing, she looks like she could use some help.
>Whatever Audrey is doing seems interesting: help her with it.
>Check to make sure Carya is still breathing.

So I was wondering, given that we're going to be heading into Stardust Memory soon: How exactly do the Liliums stack up against the mainline Gundam Development Project suits? We haven't gotten too much combat in with them to really test their limits, but I'd assume they compare pretty favorably. I think they're at least as good as the Zephyranthes, maybe even up there with the Dendrobium. I mean, they have heavy weapons, strong armor, high mobility thrusters, and good pilot systems. Add in how they're designed to be upgraded and modified and they have potential to outclass pretty much anything we can expect to see. We're not going to curbstomp anybody, we chose the hardest difficulty setting after all, but I think we're going to be an unpleasant surprise for Gato.

You briefly check over the sisters, just to make sure that they're actually okay, and find that them sitting calmly on your bed. In fact, they're so calm that it begins to rub off on you a little, and you feel your body and mind relax just by being around them. Whatever it is they're thinking about, you decide that it's probably best to leave them to it.

Karen, on the other hand, seems exasperated. She waves you over to her bedside as you go into the other room to check on her and Reiko.

"Hey, O'Hara," she greets you. "Come to lend a hand?"

"Yup," you reply.

"Good. I was just looking over these papers that Reiko worked up yesterday before the fight."

"What are they?" There are several sheets, each filled with a fair bit of text. You have to admit, they're not forms you've seen before.

Karen cracks a grin. "They document the life and times of 'Nina Balzac'."

"And who is that?"

"It's Haman's new cover name," Karen explains, her grin growing even wider. "Only problem is, the paperwork isn't quite done, and I have no idea how the hell to fill it out."

We're not going to be any better at it. Hell, we don't even have a complete high school education. Though I would like to take a look at the paperwork, at least. We might not be able to process it, but we should at least know the background details for Haman's new identity.

>>33089028
Hey, look at it this way: We'll have to deal with Nina Purpleton. But maybe, just maybe, we can shoot her treasonous ass. Wouldn't that be fun?

> I'll trust Reiko on this one

Hmm I seem to remember a trick that was used was to find a dead ship's crew and claim that they belong to it. Because of the Minovsky particles so many ships went missing that they could never corroborate stories about returning soldiers, and lots of Zeeks used this to hide from their past.

Buy that's probably a bit too meta so;
>I'll trust Reiko on this one
>>
>>33089069
Yeah, let's not claim she's family. I think this is more to hide the fact that she's Maharajah Karn's daughter more than to conceal that she was the Schnee Weiss's pilot. And why would our niece be piloting a mobile suit at Axis? It would just raise more questions.

Code Geass reinforces that, too. Bitch be crazy.

How do we manage to explain that she just showed up on the ship, though? Or do we hide her from the Feds until we get to earth, where she just pops up?

I'd say she should come from the Colonies. The population there can't be well documented after the war. Records should be easiest to forge if she's from there.
>>
>>33089229
Are you saying we shouldn't snicker when we meet them as well?
>>
>>33089263
We can't hide the fact that she's the pilot of the captured suit. Too many people have seen her. But we can hide her identity so she's not seen as a convenient political hostage. I think we're the only ones who actually know her name.

>>
>>33089362
I figured we'd just keep referring to him as Johnny Ridden. Since he'd want to conceal his identity as Char, he'd probably go along with it to help preserve his cover. It would be delightful. And then when he gives the Dakar speech we can troll him even farther by going "Wow, I never would have suspected that Johnny Ridden was secretly Zeon Zum Deikun's heir. Incredible. Wait, weren't you Kycillia Zabi's suitor? Didn't that make things awkward for you, what with the theories that the Zabis killed your father? I guess love really does conquer all."

You nod seriously to Karen, trying your hardest not to laugh... and you nearly succeed. After a few seconds of choking back laughter, only allowing a few snorts to escape, you manage to control yourself.

"Does she know it sounds like "Nine Ballsack"?" you ask Karen.

The Commander merely shrugs. "I had the same reaction. She claimed names like that make people less likely to ask questions. Sounds dirty, but could actually just be ethnic."

"And the rest of her story?" you press. "We could always claim she's family... on second thought, that'd be stupid, wouldn't it?"

"Yup," Karen agrees. "As it stands, she's a war orphan who stowed away in our weapons crates back in San Diego."

"But people here know she piloted Schnee Weiss," you point out. "That's not going to work."

Karen nods. "Reiko figured that regardless of what her background was, the Federation would still try and snatch her off us if they knew she was the test pilot."

"So Reiko didn't find a solution?"

"She did, actually." Karen passes you a file labeled "Kyongju".

"What's this?" you ask her.

"Seven weekly fitness reports that were obviously forged, a dozen or so bogus maintenance reports covering up substantial problems with the VASIMR drive and other new systems, and two sexual harassment cases that were never properly reported."

You flip through the files and find that everything Karen told you was in them is true. Many were handled by the Captain after he found out about them, but still, it's enough to have him stripped of his command were it to come to light.

"So Reiko blackmailed the Captain?" you ask.

Karen bites her lip nervously. "Blackmailed is a strong word, Dominic. But yeah, basically it was blackmail. He won't allow anyone to report that Haman was here so long as we don't hand him over to JAG. So we pretend the pilot killed himself in the cockpit rather than be captured, and problem solved."

That... well, that could actually work.

"Good thinking," Karen replies. "I'll put her on that when she's feeling a bit better. And Dominic?"

"Yeah?" you ask as you float back through the shared bathroom space.

"Feel free to drop by any time," Karen adds. "My door is always open, even when it isn't."

You soon find that Audrey is sitting cross-legged on the ceiling of your room, still working on her dataslate. She doesn't notice your approach at first.

"Audrey?" you ask after a few seconds of waiting.

The Ensign sighs and leans back to look down at you. "What is it, Commander?"

"I wanted to see what you were up to." you explain. "I'm a combat pilot, so when there's no combat I can't really pilot, and that's boring."

"I never took math in high school," you reply.

Audrey raises her eyebrows. "Oh?"

"Yup. Tested out of calculus in my first year... which is good, because I'd probably have just skipped the classes anyway."

"I see," Audrey nods. You can feel that she's caught between feeling impressed and skeptical. "Must have made qualifying for mobile suit service easier."

"Yeah, it did. Let's see what you're working on here, maybe a fresh set of eyes would help." Audrey stands up on the ceiling and hands her dataslate down to you.

Looking it over, it takes you a moment or two to figure out what you're looking at. Then you scroll to the side and look at an image: a sketch of a mobile suit holding two shields.

"Ah, I see. You're treating the shields as lifting bodies... but the math here isn't the conventional method for calculating lift."

"Go on..." Audrey encourages you, kicking off the ceiling lightly to face you. "You're nearly there."

"A waverider," you conclude. "Hypersonic flight achieved by harnessing the machine's own shockwaves to add lift."

"Exactly," she smiles. "So I see the thing with the engine wasn't a fluke. Only problem is, I can't figure out how much thrust I would need to add in order to make a dual conical surface work..."

You frown for a moment. "I... huh. I don't know if you've got this adjustment for a second body right either."

Audrey sighs. "I think it'll just take some time, but I can get to work on the trial versions today if you'd like. At least we'd have something to work off of."

>Sure, do it as you see fit.
>Can't you just slap more thrusters on it until it works?

>>33090551
>Sure, do it as you see fit.
Is she...is she designing a proto-Gaplant? Oh, hell yes. She can work on this as much as she wants.

Something I was thinking of that we could probably make with just the equipment available to us, though: Psycommu-equipped Base Jabber. If it could be remotely controlled the mobile suit pilot would be able to mount and dismount it much more conveniently. There would be a huge boost in mobility by being able to call the subflight lifter to you any time you wanted instead of having to retrieve it. You could zoom into an engagement zone, leap off the platform to engage in ground combat, then summon it back to you to remount and maneuver around.
>>
>>33090551

>slap more thrusters onto it

"That's right down Orky boss."

Do you think if we believe we'll go fast we'll go faster? We're a Newtype, after all...
>>
>>33090721
Would a red mobile suit go faster than a regular one? Gee, I don't know.
>>
>>33090748

We actually don't know what our mobile suit's color scheme is. Painting it Red would be the obvious choice. Blue would also be a viable choice as we chose hardmode. Might save our skin.
>>
>>33090778
C.C. is going to get the Blue MS if anyone. She's the one with the Heat Rod, after all.
>>
>>33090936
Their colors are black, remember? Though on her Gundam (the Viola, I think?) it's the secondary color, so the main color on it could be dark blue.
>>
>>33090551
"Would painting it red help?" you ask her in the most sincere voice you can manage.

"What... no? No it wouldn't?" Audrey manages. "I'm not sure why you'd even think that."

"Worked for Char."

Audrey pauses for a moment, considering the point. "No," she concludes, "I don't think that was it."

"Then add some thrusters?"

"That... wait. That might actually help."

"Really?" you ask, honestly surprised.

"Well, no, not your suggestion. But it DID give me an idea to try out." With that, Audrey suddenly snatches the dataslate back from you and begins typing furiously, apparently oblivious to the fact that she's now drifting backwards into the bathroom.

"Yes, aim the thrust this way... increase alpha, reduce proximity... yes, that's better... trim weight..." she mutters to herself as she disappears from view.

Huh. Seems she's made something of a breakthrough? Haman seems to be stirring, and the sisters sigh to themselves and open their eyes.

"Good morning, Noin," you greet a sleepy Haman as she rubs her eyes.

"Whaa..." she moans at you as she tries to puzzle things out. "Did you hit your head or something?"

"Noin. Your new cover name is Noin. Noin Balzac."

"Did you just say what I thought you said?" Catrina asks as Haman's face reddens.

"Yup. Reiko picked it out to make anyone we use it on feel too awkward to ask about it," you explain.

Haman pouts a little. "Noin is fine, but if you ever call me Balzac we're going to have a problem."

"It's still Haman in private, anyway," you reassure her. "But hey, you've got a name you don't like now. You're practically one of us already."

"I kind of like it," Carya admits. "It has a nice sort of faux-ethnic flair to it, like someone was trying way too hard." Haman sticks her tongue out at the sisters, who grin back at her nonchalantly.

"So what were the two of you doing?" you ask the sisters. "You felt really calming, like listening to smooth jazz in a whirlpool tub or something."

"I could try playing some Duke Ellington for you if we're ever in a hotel with a piano in the room," Carya teases. "Something to jazz up our honeymoon, maybe?"

Haman fakes a retch at the notion.

"Honestly, we were half-meditating, half chatting," she explains. "There was a moment yesterday that scared us a little, so we needed to work out how to prevent it from happening again."

"You mean how you seemed to lose yourself?" you ask, remembering the look in their eyes as you pulled them off one of your attackers.

"Yeah... I don't think it'll happen again, but we need to be more careful. Who knows what could go wrong..." Carya's voice trails off, and you can feel her worry at the possibilities. Even Haman seems to feel some concern at the thought of something happening with the sisters' rather precarious situation.

Pretty sure the only way we're getting an actual threesome is if the sisters get a second body due to cloning and newtype shenanigans. Which considering how frequently newtypes are cloned is totally possible

Thanks for saying that, now I'm imaging a Carya/Catrina Puru-like clone corps going around saying PURUPURUPURU.

Glemy had better hope that the sisters never meet any of the Ple clones. That would end badly for him. Same with Dr. Murasame and meeting Four. Though it would probably have a good result for the Cyber-Newtype girls. I can totally see a married Dominic and Carya/Catrina adopting Elpeo Ple, for example.
>>
>>33091891
"I take it the worst case is your minds fuse permanently?"

The sisters nod. "Yeah, I'd call that a hell of a bad end," Catrina mutters. "Worst thing is we've got no fucking idea if or when it might happen on its own."

"Why is that bad?" Haman asks quietly. "You'd still be alive, right?"

The sisters frown as Catrina explains. "I've already lost my body... with my individuality gone there'd be nothing left, and Carya would be different too. Her body would be alive, but it wouldn't be us inside it anymore."

Catrina's mind sinks again, allowing Carya to come back to the surface. "I... I don't want to go, Dom. Not like that."

Without a word, you pull them both into a tight embrace. You can feel them: not the leather jacket they always wear, not their hair floating around your head in the freefall, but who and what they are. Their fears, their resolve, their love and their passions, their hope... and as you hold them you can feel their fears subside, and their resolve harden.

"That's not going to happen," you assure them. "Things will work out somehow. And if they don't work out on their own, we'll make them. Same as always."

"...right," Carya mutters into your shoulders as she stains your uniform with tears. "Complete sincerity... how could we not trust that?"

Behind her, you can sense a complicated mix of emotions from Haman, but right now that doesn't matter. You can always ask her later.

The date is May 28th, UC 0083. After completing its deceleration burn, the Kyongju is rapidly nearing the La Vie en Rose, a support tender operated and owned by Anaheim Electronics.

No further incidents have occurred with the ship's crew, or with your own team members. Thankfully, it seems that Haman has become much better acclimated to working with your unit, and Carya and Catrina have reported a significant improvement in their ability to stay separate. You've even helped them by being there while they briefly combined their minds again, attempting to work on their ability to re-separate voluntarily. It feels a little like watching your old delinquent friends get high on shrooms, just in case one of them tried to walk off the roof or something. So far, it seems much more promising than how that turned out.

But at the moment, you've assembled in the hangar to test out a few of Audrey's new devices. Schnee Weiss lies practically in ruins against one wall, and your own unit has been fitted with two titanium shields and a pair of what look a little like high heels... fitted with more thrusters, naturally.

"So," Audrey starts nervously, staring at the Lilium. "You want to try the foot boosters first, or the shield boosters?"

>Foot wins narrowly
"I'll work on the foot boosters first," you reply. "It's only four thousand kilograms of extra thrust each, should be easier to manage."

"Good thinking," Audrey replies as she fits her helmet.

"Depressurize the hangar," Karen orders as you climb into the Lilium's cockpit. "Prepare the launch catapult."

You key your suit's comm systems. "Negative, I'll take her out manually."

There's a pause, but eventually Karen replies. "Okay, Commander. We'll do it your way. I've cleared it with the Captain."

Your machine glides almost delicately forward to the hangar doors, and instead of slotting into the launch catapult you tap your thrusters. Once you've cleared the Kyongju enough, you bring up the new foot-mounted thrusters...
>92
... and are pleasantly surprised by the acceleration. You gradually let the leg thrusters and backpack come into play, and find yourself easily looping around the Kyongju. The amount of control added by the foot boosters is slight, but noticeable.

You send a brief laser communique to the ship. "I love what you got me, Ensign April. I never thought I could make heels look so good."

You can hear Karen chuckle over the return broadcast. "Good to hear, sir. Think you can try the shield boosters now?"

"Sure thing..."

"Let us pray the Shepard's prayer.. dear Lord," you tell your team over the comms, "please don't let me fuck up."

"Solid copy," Audrey replies, while Karen laughs even harder in the background.

You bring up the thrust in the shield boosters to 20%... then 50%... and at 80% you hear a loud groan of metal straining. The whole machine starts rattling from a low-frequency vibration.

"Right booster not responding to input," you report as alarms in your cockpit begin to go off and you feel the Lilium going into a flat spin. "I'm losing..."

Suddenly, you're cut off as the right shield booster shears free from its mounting entirely, careening away from you... and on a direct course for the Kyongju. You find your spin reversed with equal abruptness as the left shield booster pushes without its partner.
>99

"FUCK. NO." You practically command the Lilium to stop spinning as you rotate the shield booster and counter the spin before throwing all of your available thrust into chasing down the errant booster.

As your range closes, you slam the controls for the Lilium's precision visor, and almost manage to force the target acquisition to lock by sheer force of will. The very INSTANT you get tone, you unleash your head vulcans and 110mm cannons at the shield booster's leading edge, the volume of the impacts shearing the armor but also forcing the missile down and away from the Kyongju's hull.

At the last second you roll Lilium and push out and over the Kyongju's dorsal hull, right past the bridge. You swear that for a moment your optics show you an image of the Captain saluting as you pass.

Then, on the other side, you flip vertically and slam against the full force of your own thrust, quickly killing your momentum.

"ABORT THE TEST!" Karen shouts, having apparently taken control of the comm setup. "What the hell just happened? Report!"

>What DID just happen?
>>
>>33093337

"Bracings on the right shield booster failed midtest, looks like the load was abit much for it.

It sheered off and started on a collision course for the Kyongju.

Had to open fire on it to shift its course.

Going to go retrieve that booster now before I come in."

"The right shield booster did not just almost his the ship. Nope. You must be imagining things. But, if it DID, I totally would have shot it up. Hypothetically"
>>
>>33093337
>What DID just happen?
"Not sure, Commander. My guess is that a vibration issue damaged the fuel regulator and kept the right thruster from responding. Output increased uncontrollably and it proved too much for the mounting. The shield broke off and nearly wound up colliding with the ship, but I managed to shoot it down first."
>>
>>33093337

"I broke it. Then had to chase down my own damn shield before it speared the ship, Ma'am."

"You got the log, right? Felt like the whole thing was shaking itself apart before the shield decided to turn itself into an impromptu javelin. Say, do you think we could turn our shields into impromptu javelins?"

"I broke it," you observe keenly.

"I saw that, Dominic." The relief in hearing you again is obvious in her voice.

"Honestly, it seemed to be mechanical failure. Either from that weird oscillation I got right beforehand or a damaged fuel injection system or something. I could still probably recover..."

Just then, your thermal sensors register a small explosion two kilometers behind you.

"Scratch that, the equipment is unrecoverable. Anyway, uncontrolled acceleration, sheared the mounting, and made a fucking BEELINE for the Kyongju," you continue, your adrenaline making you ramble a bit.

"I saw that too," Karen replies.

"Yeah, and then I shot it with my guns. I shot it real good."

"Well, let's call it a day and have you return to base," Karen suggests. "I think that's enough near misses for one day.

As you maneuver towards the Kyongju's port hangar, you can feel that you're not the only one who feels like celebrating.

(1/2)
>>
>>33093760
The hangar repressurizes, and you clamber out of the Lilium and float to the deck. On the way down you get a good look at the right arm mount: sure enough, the titanium mounting of the shield just wasn't enough to survive the 22,000 kilograms of thrust from the salvaged thruster, though the left side's Gundarium component held perfectly.

The second thing you notice is that the hangar has rapidly filled up with people. Dozens of EFSF regulars along with your own team are here to greet you, and a cheer goes up and echoes through the hangar.

Instead of cheering along with them, the sisters have become a missile themselves, slamming into you lips first and kissing you passionately. The cheers from the crew are punctuated by a few whistled cat-calls as the rest of your team rushes to catch up.

"That was EASILY the best piloting I've seen from you!" the sisters tell you in unison. "You were amazing, and I'm glad to have you back..." Emotions of relief and elation clash as they hang onto you, as if they're not really sure what they should be feeling at the moment.

"Spectacular save, Dominic," Haman adds, throwing her arms around both of you. "I've never seen a mobile suit move like that."

Behind her, Karen throws her muscular arms around the lot of you. "You kids are so damn exciting," she adds. "It's good to be alive, innit?"

Audrey, however, seems a bit embarrassed.

"I'm... sorry, Commander. If I'd done a better job, there might not have been a problem."

The heel thrusters and the left shield worked fine. So what if the right one malfunctioned? This is testing, the more things that go wrong now the less we'll have to worry later. Now come on:"

"You built the things in the field from a pile of scraps. So one thing you made failed... the other three helped me save this ship and everyone on her. We'll iron out the kinks and it'll be fine." Audrey is taken aback a little, having clearly been in such a rush to take the blame that she didn't even consider that without the new thrusters, the Lilium wouldn't have responded that quickly. The notion seems to comfort her.

"Now get over here and have a moment with us. That's an order."

The celebrations continue off and on the whole rest of the way to La Vie en Rose, any hostilities between your team and the crew of the Kyongju having apparently evaporated.

No. We shoot her after the Naval Review, because she contract Ghinea's Space AIDS and we thought it was contagious.

Literally everyone turns into a mouthbreathing moron except the Titans after the review is nuked.

Yes.

Hopefully this won't end terribly.

/tg/ dice aren't random, they run in sequences. What did you expect?
>>
>>33095474
Well, we won't let that happen, then. Gato is going to have another three Gundams to deal with, we can probably shut him down before he fires the nuke. We might even take him out before he gets to Kimberlite, if we're lucky.
>>
>>33095526

Possibly 4 if we include GP-01fb and/or GP-03
>>
Just got to thinking, we got GM heads on our machines right, even though we're Gundams? Why haven't we remarked about this and pissed off Karen in some way by calling it GM Head?
>>
>>33095526
Axis is going to send more forces for Delaz.
>>
>>33095557
I was including the GP-01fb. I said "another three Gundams" not "three Gundams". Though it would be nice if we could get them to deploy the Dendrobium early.
>>
>>33095589
Doesn't help Gato much if we take him out before he gets to orbit, though.

>60 - moderate success
"I'm Lieutenant Commander Dominic O'Hara, and this is Ensign Audrey April. We pilot two of the new Gundams that were just transferred here off the Kyongju."

"Wait.. so those were..." she asks herself.

"Yes," Audrey replies. "Designed by Doctor J. Ward, assembled in California through subcontractors."

"... I guess that's why they keep us in the dark about the other programs," the young woman mutters. "I had no idea they'd rolled out three more... nevermind."

"So who might you be, Miss..." you ask.

"Emary Ounce," she replies. "Senior mechanic for GP-03... aw, fuckberries..."

So there are at least three Gundams being developed here? Interesting, but not quite as interesting as your brief insight into how Anaheim proper operates when it's not going through subsidiaries and subcontractors. Almost a cell structure... makes it almost seem like they're actively planning to break the law.

"I'd like to ask for access to your fabrication facilities," Audrey tells miss Ounce. "Assemble a few little upgrades we designed after our last mission."

"Sure," Emary replies. "I think I can clear that. I'll also set up a meeting with Miss Lucette or Miss Purpleton... I'm sure you have as many questions as they will."

Behind her, you spot a dusky-skinned, black-haired woman approaching with a warm smile and a wave.

"Hiya," she greets you. "I see you've got some visitors, Emary. And did I hear the name "Dominic O'Hara", or am I so bored I've started hallucinating?"

>Introduce yourself?

Can't we just let Gato nuke the Federation cabinet first. Those guys strait up need to die and the gundam universe is going to be a hell of a lot harder to move around in if their still breathing.

"Both, actually. I'm really Dominic O'Hara, but Emary Ounce is a hallucination."

"Ah," the stranger replies. "I always had my suspicions, but never any evidence. This explains a lot."

"You're a fruitcake, Defrah," Emary scoffs. "Anyone ever tell you that?"

"Nope," Defrah responds. "Not even you, seeing as you're a figment of my overactive imagination."

The woman offers her hand. "Defrah Kar, EFSF retired. I test whatever Anaheim builds around here: and when I'm not, I'm slowly losing my mind from how boring it is."

You shake her hand, and notice she has quite a firm grip. "A pleasure."

"No, Dominic," she replies, "the pleasure's all mine, getting to talk to the Devil's Jester instead of the same three people Anaheim lets me see day to day."

She then motions back up the corridor. "Let's get you two some real food, on me."

As you turn to leave, you hear Emary talking over a walkie-talkie to someone else on the station.

"Lucette, I've got three RX-type machines down here, and their pilots are roaming the station. What the hell do I do?"

A female voice crackles across the device. "Say again, Emary... did you just say 'RX-types'?"

>End part 7
Thanks for playing!

As a note, I won't be able to run this coming weekend, July 5th and 6th, since I'll be in London on business. After that I'll be back on.

Archive will be up shortly, and feel free to discuss shit for a while. I might pop in again before I knock out.
>>
>>33096228
That's fine, Hearts. A lot of quests aren't running the coming week because of the Fourth of July, so it's going to be a slow week anyway. See you two weeks from now, and thanks for running.

I don't know why being RX-types would be so surprising. Most high performance Federation mobile suits are based off the RX frame. What did she expect our Gundams to be?
>>
Rolled 3

>>33096440

It's the whole OH MY GOD IT'S A GUNDAM thing people have. You want a good example of that, watch when Unicorn first transforms or when it fights that Mobile Armor in Episode 4(I think that's the one). Take notice on how in the one command room everyone's climbing over the consoles with big bug-eyed looks.
>>
>>33096440
Gundams aren't just a stronger mobile suits, they're a huge rallying symbol, they're as much weapons as they are propaganda pieces.

Remember that in the minds of many, the Gundam turned the tide of war against Zeon, and while it might not be true, it's their belief in the Gundam as a symbol that gives it its strength.
>>
>>33096500
>>33096520
No, I just mean that this is Anaheim, and having a Gundam around is pretty normal for them. They make Gundams. They have like three different Gundam projects going on right now. Some RX-series models showing up shouldn't be a surprise. They're already working on the successor series to the RX, I'm sure they have at least one lying around at La Vie En Rose.
>>
>>33096601

Correct, having gundams around is normal to them.

Gundams built by them. These are built by competitors.
>>
>>33096601
Look at how fucking obssessed Nina and Lucette were with their Gundams, it'd be a real poop in their collective punch bowls if their projects weren't the special snowflakes they thought they were.
>>
>>33096631
No, by their subsidiaries. But that's no guarantee they know about them, Emary sure didn't. I guess I'll just chalk it up to compartmentalization, then.

>>33096682
Okay, that makes sense, actually, if its worry their project has been scooped by another group in the company. Alright, I concede the point.

I wonder what they'll think of the Lilium? It's arguably a much better machine than the Zephyranthes. And the thruster upgrades Aubrey's made are pretty close to what they're planning for the Full Burner. Nina's going to be pissed when they find out someone else already built one. Too bad for her.

I can not wait for delicious Nina tears
